- This agreement is coming soon. I think it will be ready by the end of this week. It should certainly be ready and announced before the first Sejm session. This is the assumption of all parties – said Michał Kobosko in RMF24.

- The vicinity of November 11th, it just begs for such an important fact as a very concrete announcement of the creation of a new democratic government in Poland to be made then – he added.

- This is an impossible mission. Prime Minister Morawiecki will not form any government in Poland this year, and actually, the main question is: what is this time needed for by PiS, what do they want to use this time for – said Michał Kobosko on RMF24.

- I sense some attempt here from President Duda and his circle to try for a so-called compromise. That is to say, on one hand, he gives Morawiecki the mission to form a government. I'm pampering my own political camp, so as not to offend this very camp, God forbid. But on the other hand, he gives something, in quotation marks, he gives something to the opposition. That is, he anoints a representative of the opposition to play an important role for a moment, next Monday – stated Michał Kobosko on RMF24.

- It is very good that Mr. Sawicki will fulfill this role [of Senior Marshal]. Firstly, he truly has enormous experience as a parliamentarian with a long tenure in Polish realities. And secondly, we will avoid what, I don't want to say we feared, but we didn't rule out, that PiS, if this Senior Marshal came from the ranks of PiS politicians, that the Senior Marshal would try some tricks, some games, some further delay tactics, extending the session – he continued.

- Donald Tusk probably hasn't been to Spain in a long time. I understand he's a big fan of Italy, he went there on holiday, but you don't need to be on holiday in Spain to know that on July 23rd, elections were held in Spain, and another party colleague of Donald Tusk from the EPP won these elections with 33%, and everyone refused him the chance to form a coalition. However, King Philip VI, according to custom, entrusted Donald Tusk's EPP colleague with the mission of forming a government, which lasted two months. Did Tusk then take his EPP colleague aside somewhere in Brussels and say: listen, old man, don't embarrass yourself, don't compromise yourself, what do you need these two months for? Give it up. Don't give yourself a chance to convince. And he had as many as two chances, because in September his candidacy was voted on twice, and after two months, in the second round, the socialists were given the opportunity to form a government - stated Marcin Mastalerek in an interview with Marcin Fijołek on Polsat News' "Graffiti".

- And did Donald Tusk shout, travel, speak, mock then? No, that was the tradition in Poland, a good tradition. And from the president, we know what a good tradition is, and we should respect it, and the president decided - the Head of the Presidential Chancellery continued.

- Regarding humiliation – please look at Prime Minister Morawiecki. Did he look like a humiliated man yesterday? Prime Minister Morawiecki is determined to form a government. He wants it greatly and should be given a chance. And he has received it. On the other hand, I will ask Prime Minister Tusk: did Prime Minister Morawiecki look humiliated yesterday? Because I have the impression that it was quite the opposite - stated Marcin Mastalerek on Polsat News' "Graffiti".

- The President will not change his decision; it is final. He appointed a candidate in his address, announcing who would be the first candidate for Prime Minister. This will be Prime Minister Morawiecki. This is an unchangeable and final decision. I think we should calmly wait for the vote - stated Marcin Mastalerek on Polsat News's "Graffiti".

- If Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz had 1/10 of Mateusz Morawiecki's determination, he would have had a chance to become president in 2020, and now prime minister. It seems to me that such a chance, which he had in 2020, and now he had an even greater chance to become prime minister, might... - stated Marcin Mastalerek on Polsat News' 'Graffiti'.

- It was from the PSL milieu and various individuals associated with the PSL that certain probing questions emerged in the first few days: perhaps Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, but we must honestly say that Minister Kosiniak-Kamysz is incredibly loyal to Donald Tusk. Everyone would want to have such a loyal collaborator in Donald Tusk's place - stated Marcin Mastalerek in "Graffiti" Polsat News.

- It is obvious that the President will want to build a coalition for Polish affairs, but it doesn't have to mean a governing coalition. It can, but it doesn't have to. Polish affairs such as security, energy security, nuclear power for example, energy transformation, or many other very important social issues, can be precisely the matters around which a broader coalition is built – stated Marcin Mastalerek on Polsat News' "Graffiti".

- We have a very clear declaration, I already have the impression that the PSL, which PiS is trying so hard to tempt right now… Morawiecki announced that he has always been a supporter of the abortion compromise and that in general, he practically protested there on those strikes together with women, which is a bit of my poetic license, of course. Czarnek saying that he actually, if PiS didn't exist, he would join the PSL. I don't know, he's probably waiting for them to send him a membership card, and what is the PSL doing. Not only by going to the President as part of the Third Way, Kosiniak-Kamysz clearly states that they want to form a coalition with Civic Coalition, The Left, Poland 2050, with Prime Minister Donald Tusk, but they are taking one more step, which I think is intended to close any theories that there are indeed activists who think differently. - Pretending that there is some unreality, that 194 is more than 248, that they have any chance of forming a government, is a bit of a cabaret. What the president has done is only doing one thing – prolonging the agony of something that has already ended. The PiS government is already going down in history - she added.

- I think there are many people who would want to and could lead [the Ministry of Education]. I would certainly want the program that is the common program of all parties in the new coalition to be implemented - stated Katarzyna Lubnauer on Radio Plus.

- I would like any task that allows us to implement this vision of education, which we share as Civic Coalition, and also as a coalition of parties that will form the government after the elections. So, [I would want] regardless of how things unfold, who becomes minister, who becomes deputy minister, who is on the committee, I will definitely focus on education - she added.

- It was a big surprise for me, but of course, you don't refuse the President. I accepted it with satisfaction and assured him that I would conduct these proceedings in accordance with the constitution, in accordance with parliamentary custom, and I will try to do it with dignity - stated Marek Sawicki at a press briefing in the Sejm.

- Such information will go to the clubs tomorrow, we will already ask for the names of these candidates for secretaries, but above all for the secretaries of the inaugural session, because they also have a special role during the swearing-in and the protocol. All clubs will have the right to nominate all candidates for secretaries, while my role is to choose two - stated Marek Sawicki at a press briefing in the Sejm.

- Therefore, this will be a doomed mission, and in the next step, the Sejm will indicate its own candidate for Prime Minister, and it will certainly be a successful mission - he continued.

- President Andrzej Duda has signed decrees concerning the convening of the first session of the 10th term Sejm of the Republic of Poland and the 11th term Senate of the Republic of Poland. The President convened the first session of the Sejm for November 13, 2023, at 12:00 PM, and the first session of the Senate for November 13, 2023, at 4:00 PM – the Chancellery of the President informed.

The President of the Republic of Poland also signed decrees appointing the Senior Marshals of the Sejm and Senate. Member of Parliament Marek Wacław Sawicki has been appointed Senior Marshal of the Sejm, and Senator Michał Seweryński has been appointed Senior Marshal of the Senate.

- I had no doubts [about accepting the role of senior marshal]. I consider it a huge honor, as I am not yet the oldest MP in the Sejm. There are a dozen or so people older than me, but starting the role of senior marshal is truly a culmination of parliamentary work. I would compare it equally to being appointed Sejm Marshal, so I treat this mission very seriously - stated Marek Sawicki in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on Polsat News's program “Gość Wydarzeń”.

– I think we still have a very negative narrative surrounding the Polish People's Party. There is a group of narrators who believe that the Polish People's Party is a turncoat party, and this is bad. A similar group says that the Polish People's Party is a centrist party, and therefore the narrative that one can form various coalitions is, as it were, justified – stated Marek Sawicki on Polsat News.

– The President, it seems to me, is fully aware of the current social state of our country, as well as the state of political emotions, and he knows very well that since 2005, this dualization of the political scene has been escalating, and both the previous campaign and this one have been quite radical, not to mention brutal in many elements. And the proposal that we presented to voters, that is, from the Third Way, a moderate center club with the slogan “Enough quarrels, let's move forward,” it seems to me, has also convinced the President that this is the right time, with a change in parliamentary majority, to also give a chance to those who are moderate and can truly be a cohesive force in rebuilding the community in the future – he added.

- Unnecessarily, the President, as Head of State, tries to impose directions for our cooperation and our discussions on us, political parties. I will say that in the conversation I had with the President, I got the impression that the President stepped back from imposing directions on where and with whom we should cooperate, but indeed, the suggestions that resulted from this conversation are clear, that he expects a calming of emotions on the Polish political scene and that, among other things, my person, my experience, guarantees that at least the inauguration of the 10th term will have a character not only constitutional but also solemn and dignified - stated Marek Sawicki on Polsat News.

- I get the impression that the President also isn't convinced that [Mateusz Morawiecki] has such a chance [to form a government], and there are various reasons for that. The most important reason is that I believe the President feels it's not just a matter of his political affiliation, but also his personal relationship with Prime Minister Donald Tusk, and that the President rather believes that, of course, the Sejm has the prerogative in the second step to nominate a candidate, and he made that clear in his address, stating he won't be an obstacle and will immediately sign off on that candidate, and will await the formation of a government by him - stated Marek Sawicki on Polsat News.

- There can be many scenarios. I expect that if the President entrusts the formation of a government to Mateusz Morawiecki, then Mateusz Morawiecki will inform the Sejm and the newly elected Speaker on Monday the thirteenth that he is unable to form this government and will hand over the initiative to the new Speaker and the new parliamentary majority – stated Marek Sawicki on Polsat News.

- First and foremost, the opposition's reaction seems ritualistic to me. They are actually behaving as if they have to shout a bit, express dissatisfaction a bit, but in reality, they are acting as if it were somewhat convenient for them. It's clear they are unprepared and not ready. They don't have a coalition agreement, they haven't agreed on who will be the Marshal, they haven't divided the ministries among themselves, and I observed this as simply ritualistic outrage, but in reality, in my opinion, they are not ready - stated Marcin Mastalerek in an interview with Edyta Lewandowska on TVP Info's "Gość Wiadomości".

- The President has certainly [harmed himself]. To be honest, in my opinion, it's not a sensible move, but I look with much greater distance and reluctance at what the President is trying to do with the Supreme Court regulations. Mr. President, I speak to you as a man who may be old, but is somewhat experienced – don't do such things. You don't notice what has happened in Poland, that a democratic change has occurred in Poland, that people voted against the things you are proposing – stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty on the TVN24 program “Kropka nad I”.

- Three weeks have passed and they still don't even have a coalition agreement. This is starting to remind me of their talks about a single list, which they ultimately didn't create, or for example, the talks about the October 1st march, which the Third Way ultimately didn't participate in because they said they wanted to attract PiS voters, therefore they wouldn't go with Tusk, so that their potential voters, who might leave PiS, wouldn't see them with Donald Tusk - stated Marcin Mastalerek on TVP Info's "Gość Wiadomości".

- Given Mr. Morawiecki's experience, he can go into battle, but I have a piece of advice for you, Mr. Prime Minister: you must know where you want to go, because you can run fast, but you need to know where. You are heading towards political ruin in this matter - stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty on the program "Kropka nad I" on TVN24.

- If Donald Tusk had been given the mandate to form a government in the first step by the president, they would have been up against the wall. He would have spoken to them from a position of strength. He would have already been the prime ministerial candidate, with the portfolio in hand, and would have approached the Left and Third Way. How much easier it would have been for him to negotiate with them, how he could have cornered them - stated Marcin Mastalerek on TVP Info's "Gość Wiadomości".

– PO and Donald Tusk achieved effectively the same support as Rafał Trzaskowski in 2020. Around 30%. He hasn't won any elections and wouldn't have taken power from PiS, nor would he have had even the slightest chance of taking power from PiS, had a portion of the votes not unfortunately been wasted – stated Marcin Mastalerek on "Gość Wiadomości" (Guest of the News) on TVP Info.

- I am pleased that after 8 years, or more than 8 years, I was able to return to the TVP studio, because I left this studio in May 2015. I wanted to remind everyone, when we talk about attacks on the president, that in the final stretch of the 2015 presidential campaign, TVP did not show Bronisław Komorowski's main opponent at all. - Whether Civic Coalition, or PO, will truly seek to be a coalition of revenge, that is obvious. And they will strive for that, they announced it. That was their program, and they didn't gain a majority on that program; they gained as much as Rafał Trzaskowski did 3 years earlier. And they will want that. The only question is whether Third Way, whether Szymon Hołownia, or PSL, which said "no, no, no, we won't be like them, we will be the Third Way", whether they will behave credibly towards their voters, whether they will simply be joined in some way, or if they will join the coalition of revenge themselves, one could say a civic revenge - stated Marcin Mastalerek on TVP Info's "Gość Wiadomości".
