President Karol Nawrocki continues his visit to the USA. Today a meeting with the Senate Majority Leader, John Thune, will take place on Capitol Hill.

At 8:30 AM, a press conference will be held in front of the Ministry of Finance in Warsaw with PiS Vice-Chairman and candidate for Prime Minister, Przemysław Czarnek, and PiS MP Zbigniew Kuźmiuk.

At 6:00 PM, PiS Vice-Chairman Mateusz Morawiecki, along with MPs Małgorzata Golińska and Marek Subocz, will participate in the Provincial Consultations for the "One-Speed Poland" Program during a meeting with residents in Szczecinek.

- Friendly chat, you can’t get anything done in a minute. Let’s not kid ourselves, Trump has more important things on his mind. Therefore, I would treat it in these terms - stated Ryszard Petru in “Rozmowa Piaseckiego” on TVN24.

- I wouldn’t attach too much importance to it, the gentlemen met, and that’s it. I don’t see any significant implications when it comes to Polish politics and Poland’s raison d’état. It’s good that they have contact - he continued.

- Objectively, as an economist, I believe we cannot do both [increase the tax-free amount and make changes to health contributions] because we simply have budget limitations, but next year, either a measured increase in the tax-free amount, meaning it can be done in stages... It would be jumps of, for example, 15,000 [PLN], I'm simplifying - stated Ryszard Petru in the TVN24 program "Rozmowa Piaseckiego".

- We must send a signal to those who are working and entrepreneurs that we care about them. Second, we must do everything we can so they don't vote for the libertarian Confederation. Therefore, this must be a concrete action, because we are the government, not the opposition - he continued.

- This is also a nice promise of the entire coalition of October 15th. I apologize, it would be one that shows – this is what we went into the elections with, we have started its implementation, let's continue it together after 2027 - stated Ryszard Petru in the "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" program on TVN24.

When reminded that the coalition promised a tax-free allowance of 60,000 PLN in 2023, he replied: - But even PiS was often praised for implementing some of their postulates and not others. It's important to show serious implementation, not promises of implementation. Everything should be on the table, the tax-free allowance is the broadest and would concern the largest number of people, but I don't want to insist. It must be a joint coalition project, not something pushed through hastily with the risk that opposition representatives might vote for it.

- I believe that a 'Confederation Light' formula is needed on our side of the political scene today. This is, of course, a working name, because it shows that if the PSL were to go with KO into the 2027 elections… The joint candidate for mayor of Krakow is a signal that the PSL is considering such a variant and move - stated Ryszard Petru in the "Piasecki's Interview" on TVN24.

- Of course, everything will be decided at the end of this year, but in such a variant, a natural space is undoubtedly being created between the Left and the coalition with the PSL, a liberal one, and at the same time, I don't want to say conservative, but one that is firm on certain fundamental issues, i.e., painfully pragmatic economically, but pro-European, not accepting, of course, ‘women’s boxers’ like Stanowski - he continued.

- Not xenophobic, and at the same time painfully pragmatic economically, tough on migration, and rational within the EU, so that there is less ideology and more rationality, for example, on the issue of energy transformation - he emphasized.

- Nothing special besides maintaining the impression that they are in good relations - said Krzysztof Bosak in a conversation with Dominika Wielowieyska on "Poranek TOK FM," when asked what he expects from President Nawrocki's visit to Washington in connection with Donald Trump's birthday.

- My ambitions extend to strengthening the capabilities of the armed forces and the service conditions of Polish soldiers - he continued, when asked about Marcin Przydacz's words regarding ambitions that extend to 15,000 American soldiers in Poland.

- For now, he has reduced it, and these are the facts - he went on, when asked if he wasn't concerned about Donald Trump's announcement regarding an increase in the presence of American soldiers in Poland.

- You have seen this tweet, Mr. Editor, President Trump's communication, perfectly well. It speaks of an additional 5,000, and that is the direction the White House is sending politically towards the Pentagon. The Pentagon has halted the rotation of four thousand. We are talking here about an additional five thousand, so for us, of course, our ambitions reach 15,000, while the minimum version is 11,000, which is still more than before. Until now, there were 10,000, so we are moving in this space between 11 and 15, but the final decisions are yet to come - stated Marcin Przydacz on RMF FM.

- Above all, we are fighting for there to be more soldiers. I think that future American decisions will not solely be based on these two specifics, namely the additional 5,000 and the unfreezing of the brigade, but rather a comprehensive new structure for American presence in Europe will be developed by the Pentagon, and within this new presence, we want these numbers to be as large as possible - he continued.

"Saying such things is creating informational noise and deceiving voters," said Krzysztof Bosak on TOK FM, when asked about the possibility of a joint PiS and Konfederacja list for the parliamentary elections.

"It is an obvious untruth that [PiS] would gladly create such a list. Jarosław Kaczyński, Donald Tusk, Włodzimierz Czarzasty, and Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz would gladly see a Sejm without Konfederacja, but that won't happen again," he continued, after the host pointed out that Jarosław Kaczyński had said he would gladly create such a list (referring to the unification of the right).

- Unlike Jarosław Kaczyński, it wasn't us who went to Maidan [...] it wasn't us who made pilgrimages to Israel and called it a unique state, some kind of civilizational miracle, nor was it us who implemented the Lisbon Treaty in Poland, climate policy, and many other things controlled from the outside - said Krzysztof Bosak on TOK FM, when asked about Jarosław Kaczyński's remarks suggesting that Konfederacja might be externally controlled.

- I think it's time for self-reflection in the parties that would like to criticize us - he continued.

- We will raise this second tax threshold from 120,000 to 180,000. What does this mean? It means that approximately 2.5 million taxpayers, because only since last year has the number of taxpayers entering the second tax bracket increased from 1.9 to 2.4 million, will be able to benefit from the higher tax threshold - stated Przemysław Czarnek at a press conference in Warsaw.

- This also means that families, married couples who file jointly, a spouse, husband and wife, depending on how they earn, will also be able to save significantly more money in their budgets. Generally, it is a gain for people who enter the second tax bracket, from 2,000 to 12,000 annually - he emphasized.

- All this means another tax revolution in favor of taxpayers, another tax reduction, which this government is unable to achieve, despite various grand announcements. Therefore, as soon as we come to power, our first decision - we are raising the second tax threshold from 120,000 to 180,000 in favor of taxpayers, ordinary Poles, Polish families, Polish married couples - he continued.

- They could have left (ETS) when they were in power, and they blocked such projects. They could have raised thresholds when they were in power and supposedly had excellent conditions in public finances, so this talk is worthless, they are completely unreliable in these areas - said Krzysztof Bosak in TOK FM, when asked about Przemysław Czarnek's programmatic announcements (Poland's withdrawal from ETS, raising the second tax threshold).

- When PO and PSL govern, connections are the order of the day. These people enrich themselves using the state budget, local government units, because here we are talking about a hospital budget subordinate, it seems, to Mr. Trzaskowski, and about a young, twenty-something specialist, as if from the Russian or broader Russian world, who is already able to earn 1.6 million without specialization. This will all be cut off, and this entire matter will be clarified. Such things will not happen after we come to power - stated Przemysław Czarnek at a press conference in Warsaw.

"With each decade of the European Union's existence, accessing it becomes harder, not easier, because the body of European law and integration is greater and deeper," Radosław Sikorski told journalists.

"For us, the technical negotiations alone took perhaps 7 years, and we must be sure that Ukraine will be ready, that we will be ready, and that the enlargement will be a success for both sides. Therefore, all criteria must be fully met," he continued.

- I hope President Nawrocki did what I asked him to, namely to secure an increase in the presence of American soldiers in Poland and to invalidate the pseudo-journalistic visa for the suspect Zbigniew Z. - said Radosław Sikorski in a conversation with journalists.

"From a letter from the Presidential Chancellery, we learned that there are huge backlogs when it comes to awarding medals for long marital life to individuals who meet the conditions, meaning 160,000 people are waiting in line for the President to make a decision in their cases," Jan Grabiec said at a press conference.

"One of the MEPs, Mr. Krzysztof Brejza, sent a letter to the Presidential Chancellery in connection with the interest of his constituents in this matter, and the response from the Presidential Chancellery itself is appalling," he continued.

"It is precisely from this letter that we learn that out of almost 80,000 cases that have arrived at the Presidential Chancellery in the last dozen or so months, only 1% have been roughly processed. This means that many people, if cases are processed at this pace, will wait for years to receive this medal. We are talking about 70, 80, 90-year-olds," he elaborated.

"The justification from the Presidential Chancellery states that many applications have simply come in and they are unable to process them. Moreover, it is a matter of the President's prerogative, and the President himself decides who he wants and who he does not want to award the medal to. I don't think these people expected such an arrogant response from public administration," he added.

"I appeal to this part of public administration, which is the Presidential Chancellery, to take swift steps to clear this backlog and indeed, within a foreseeable timeframe, award the medal for long marital life to all who meet the criteria," he emphasized.

"I hope that when the President returns from his trip to the United States, he will find time to award these medals," he stated.

"It's never good when politicians speak ill of their country, and even worse when they do it abroad," Jan Grabiec said at a press conference, when asked about President Nawrocki's statement in the USA, in which he criticized the government.

"Political friends of President [Nawrocki] from PiS used to speak of informing on Poland abroad to foreign countries in such situations. I will not use such words. I think Poles will judge the president's behavior," he continued.

"If this is the main diplomatic part of this visit, because it seems there will be no other political messages from this visit, judging by the length of the conversation with President Donald Trump amidst the roar of music under a cage for fighting [...] I understand there is nothing to communicate, so if this is the main political message of the president's visit, it is probably better not to fly abroad, it is better to deliver such tirades here, in Poland," he emphasized.

- I think few people in Poland are falling for these proposals by Mr. MP Czarnek. We all remember that PiS ruled for 8 years, not so long ago. It was PiS that introduced this bracket at its current level during the tax reform - said Jan Grabiec at a press conference, when asked about Przemysław Czarnek's proposal to raise the second tax bracket.

- Indeed, they lowered taxes for the first tax bracket [...] but unfortunately, they significantly increased them for those who earn slightly above the national average. That was a PiS decision, by that government - he continued.

- Promises of this kind, made shortly after relinquishing the reins of government and setting up taxes precisely in this way, the talk of lowering them now simply doesn't sound credible coming from those people. Mr. Minister Czarnek was one of the MPs who also voted for these solutions, for the bracket to be at precisely this level - he went on to say.

- I sense frustration in various statements by the minister [Pełczyńska-Nałęcz], I don't know what their source is, but I think we will clarify this within the government's work - said Jan Grabiec at a press conference.

"The Polish government's relations with President Trump and the US administration are so bad that we have just received $4 billion in guarantees under the American Foreign Military Financing program - the American SAFE program, and Secretary Thomas DiNanno is publicly praising "Tarcza Wschód" (Eastern Shield). The same "Tarcza Wschód" that Law and Justice and Confederation voted against in the European Parliament."

- Primarily, we wanted to verify the information appearing in the media that the witness Jacek Kurski was, one might say, hosting Zbigniew Ziobro at his home, so we wanted to obtain this information - he further stated.

- We also asked, of course, a general question about the witness’s knowledge regarding the suspect’s whereabouts, and we obtained this information as well. This is significant both for the search for the suspect himself, and in the future for formulating an extradition request [...] we never had suspicions that this particular witness had knowledge about the escape from Hungarian territory itself - he added.

- We received [a question from the district court] on Friday from Judge Grochowicz. Judge Grochowicz is asking about our knowledge of the whereabouts of the suspect, Zbigniew Ziobro, meaning the reporting judge who is to consider our request for a European Arrest Warrant (ENA) - said Przemysław Nowak at a press conference.

- We received this letter last Friday, and an answer is currently being prepared. I believe it will be sent to the court in the coming days - he continued.

- We believe that even if Zbigniew Ziobro were staying in the United States, the ENA is justified, and we will present this argument extensively in this letter. However, the decision naturally belongs to the court - he added.

- This morning, a bilateral visit, talks with the Prime Minister of Luxembourg concerning satellite matters, as well as enlargement, and the upcoming European Council - Radosław Sikorski told journalists in Luxembourg, where he is attending, among other things, a meeting of the Foreign Affairs Council (FAC).

- Important issues are on the agenda for this meeting: we began with ways to support Armenia, where pro-European forces have won - he continued.

- It seems Putin is not doing well. He lost in Moldova, he lost in Romania, he lost in Hungary, he lost in Armenia; we hope for the same in Ukraine - he went on to say.

The topics that are important to us remain on the Polish-American agenda, namely issues of security policy, the presence of American soldiers, the continuation of armament policy, and also, of course, the upcoming NATO summit - stated Marcin Przydacz at a press conference.

- President Karol Nawrocki has decided that immediately after returning to Poland, he will invite the Minister of National Defence, Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz for a discussion regarding further steps. This cooperation with the government, especially with the Ministry of National Defence (MON), is indispensable for fleshing out these declarations, because the door to further Polish-American cooperation, including in the context of a permanent US military presence in Poland, is open. - Yes, he will not adjudicate and will also not be a member of the National Council of the Judiciary, meaning he will not be able to perform these duties in my opinion - said Waldemar Żurek in an interview with Katarzyna Kolenda-Zaleska on TVN24's "Fakty po Faktach," when asked about Łukasz Piebiak and whether he would not be adjudicating for the next month.

- We know that being a judge and being on the council are connected. He would not be on the National Council of the Judiciary if he hadn't gotten there as a judge, so I hope the disciplinary court will consider all the allegations that are appearing both in the prosecutor's office and in the public sphere, namely his involvement in the 'hejtarian' affair - he continued.

- The second criminal proceeding is the suspicion of using a forged will to defraud an apartment in Warsaw - he went on.

- He is ready, we are just waiting for one more thing, even today I was in contact [...] with our representative in the United States [...] some federal judges, despite the fact that the extradition convention does not require it, do require that there be a legally binding arrest warrant - said Waldemar Żurek on TVN24, when asked about the extradition request against Zbigniew Ziobro.

- He definitely did not apply for asylum [...] in the United States, that we know for sure, that's breaking news - Waldemar Żurek said on TVN24.

- For me, this is indeed absolutely unacceptable, but I am also aware that we have certain legal instruments that must come into play - said Waldemar Żurek on TVN24, when asked about Constitutional Tribunal judges who "continue to sit in the corridors" and about Bogdan Święczkowski "laughing in the face" of the state.

- Ultimately, the Police will remove those who break the law in Poland - he continued, when asked what that meant.

- This is one of my plans and this plan is actually being implemented, meaning we have initiated criminal proceedings [...] these criminal proceedings are ongoing, people are being questioned - he went on to say, when asked if the Police would remove Bogdan Święczkowski.

- I am absolutely convinced that this year, I don't want to give a specific month, we will see legal judges taking their seats at the table, all of them elected by the Sejm - said Waldemar Żurek on TVN24.

- We are not an American colony and with all due respect to our alliance, these are two sovereign countries. And now, to be explaining ourselves to the USA and accusing our own minister, I would draw the President's attention to something else: that it is truly high time that American digital big techs in Poland, which France, Italy, and Spain have long since taxed and which contribute to the safety of their roads and hospitals, still essentially pay no taxes here - stated Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz on TVN24's "Kropka nad i".

"I am listening to the voices of journalists, whom I know and respect, who say that something is wrong here, and I am investigating it," said Waldemar Żurek on TVN24 when asked about the case of Leszek Kraskowski.

"The decision to apply pre-trial detention was made by an independent court, not a prosecutor [...] this journalist has representatives, they have the right to appeal. If this is corrected, we will withdraw, apologize, and there will probably even be compensation. At this moment, everything is lawful. I am also investigating what conditions he has in detention," he continued.

- The Deputy Minister of Science [Andrzej Szeptycki] firmly remains in the government. We will not yield to such pressure, and this truly outrageous witch hunt, which everyone in the government has very solidly repelled - stated Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz on TVN24's "Kropka nad i."

- No [President Nawrocki should not accept the Order of the White Eagle from the President of Ukraine]. Because it is the highest Polish decoration, let's have a sense of dignity and the importance of the decorations we award.
