Cieszyński on Szeptycki:
I Don't Know What Else He's Doing in the Government.
- This is probably what Mr. Szeptycki, a deputy minister in the Polish government, claims, who perhaps represents the interests of another state in it. A person who should be immediately dismissed for his shameful statements - stated Janusz Cieszyński on "Sygnały dnia" on PR1.
- I don't know what else he is doing in the government, maybe he is packing his bags and the public has not yet been informed that he is no longer a minister - he continued.
08:24
Cieszyński:
What happened in Krakow is a red card for the 'lukewarm water' policy in the land
- I think what happened in Krakow is a red card for the 'lukewarm water' policy in the land, for a policy lacking ambition, not even partisan, but petty-partisan, because that's what Aleksander Miszalski represented, who, moreover, was immediately 'canceled' by Donald Tusk after losing these elections - stated Janusz Cieszyński on "Sygnały dnia" PR1.

Kapiński on the situation in two chambers of the Supreme Court:
I believe the President will make decisions soon.
“This is a serious problem, looking from the perspective of the functioning of the most important court in Poland, the Supreme Court. I am counting on these issues being resolved positively in the near future,” Zbigniew Kapiński said in RMF FM’s “Morning Conversation,” when asked about the situation where there are 91 judges out of 125, and the heads of 3 out of 5 chambers are vacant.
“I am referring to two chambers, where the President will likely make a decision without a counter-signature, I am referring to the Criminal Chamber and the Chamber of Professional Responsibility. Candidates have been presented to the President, three people for each, and I believe the President will make decisions in this regard in the near future,” he continued.
“Yes, after receiving the nomination, I spoke with the President, I presented the situation as it is. The President understands it, and I believe these matters will be resolved as soon as possible,” he added, when asked if he had spoken with the President.
08:35
Kapiński on the Situation in the Chamber of Labour and Social Insurance of the Supreme Court:
The Problem Lies with the Prime Minister.
"The problem lies with the Chamber of Labour and Social Insurance, as the then outgoing president did not convene a meeting to select a shortlist of three candidates for the position of president, and the consequence is that for two years there has been no president heading the Chamber of Labour and Social Insurance, because convening the meeting that would select the candidates [...] requires counter-signature," Zbigniew Kapiński stated on RMF FM.
"The problem lies precisely with the Prime Minister, who, so to speak, has the authority to grant this counter-signature, and from what I know, this counter-signature is not forthcoming," he continued.
08:42
Kapiński:
No European court ruling suggests judges' status has been questioned due to appointment procedures
- Neither the case law of European courts nor the Venice Commission's stance contradicts my assertions, as no European court ruling suggests that these courts have questioned the status of judges based on their appointment procedures - said Zbigniew Kapiński on RMF FM.
- The fact that some lawyers and politicians are overinterpreting these rulings, I know in whose interest and for what reasons, and in media reports claim, in my opinion contrary to the actual state of affairs, that this is what follows from these rulings, that is the problem - he continued.
08:43
Nowacka on Szeptycki:
Deep Reflection Awaits Him.
- I think deep reflection also awaits him, although one must admit that his family's history and also his statement, where on the one hand the words were completely unnecessary, but on the other hand he did use the term Volhynian crime. [His comparison] was unfortunate - stated Barbara Nowacka in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on Radio Zet.
08:45
Nowacka on ZUS Subsidies for Artists:
Consider Communication and Consider the Group.
- No [the government should not withdraw ZUS subsidies for artists], but rather consider communication and consider the group - stated Barbara Nowacka on Radio Zet.
08:52
Kapiński:
No Reason to Question Judges Appointed by the President Due to the Election Procedure
- I believe there are no reasons to question the judges appointed by the president due to the election procedure, in a situation where it is clear from the Constitution that this is the exclusive prerogative of the President - said Zbigniew Kapiński on RMF FM.
- Some strange connection has been made between the resolution issued by the National Council of the Judiciary and judicial independence. I completely fail to understand that - he continued.
08:55
Kapiński:
If I Weren't a Moderate Optimist, I Wouldn't Take on Leading the Supreme Court. I Believe in Politicians' Reason and Composure
- If all judges participated based on a regulated, clear legal basis, and for example, 30 candidates were selected for the National Council of the Judiciary, and from those 30, Parliament, for instance, by a qualified majority, appointed 15, I believe that in my opinion, the situation would be appropriate - said Zbigniew Kapiński in RMF FM.
- If I weren't a moderate optimist, I wouldn't undertake the task of leading [...] the Supreme Court either. I believe in the reason and composure of politicians - he continued, when asked if he believes in such a decision given the current polarization and whether it's possible to validate all decisions regarding judicial appointments made since 1990.

"Today in the Sejm, the first reading of our bill, which guarantees pregnant women that ZUS (the Social Insurance Institution) will pay their sick pay from the first day (not their employer, as is the case today)" – wrote Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz on X.
"The data is appalling. Almost one in ten expectant mothers has been fired due to being pregnant. In small towns – 13 percent, in medium-sized companies – 15 percent. Over 21 percent of Poles personally know such a woman. This means one in five of us knows what discrimination looks like in its pure, Polish version." – she continued in her post.
"These numbers are an indictment of the entire system, which on paper proclaims a pro-family policy, but in practice punishes women for daring to become pregnant. It's time to end the fiction. It's time to start truly protecting mothers – not just on campaign billboards. We count on 100% support across party lines." – she emphasized.

Czarzasty:
Order Has Been Restored Regarding Mileage Allowances
- Everything that needed to be said about mileage allowances has been said. [...] I believe these solutions will bring transparency concerning mileage allowances and will very sensibly and rationally limit, in general, the possibility of spending funds in a way that will be questioned by public opinion - stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty at a press conference.
- We will have the first data at the end of June, and the next data, as usual, at the end of this year and next year in January. Therefore, I would advise, and I say this in an absolutely friendly and warm manner, to simply wait - he continued.
- Order has been restored regarding mileage allowances - he went on to say.
- If scandalous things happen next year, I will take responsibility for it, but in my opinion, these limits that have been set and the very clear definition [...] of routes [...] I believe that this is sufficient - he added.

Czarzasty on the WSI report annex:
The President is doing many things contrary to Poland's raison d'état; if he does another, I won't be surprised.
"Regarding the WSI, everything I had concerning the annex, I have said. [...] The President, in my opinion, is doing many things that are contrary to Poland's raison d'état, so if he does another one, I won't be surprised," said Włodzimierz Czarzasty at a press conference.
10:03
Czarzasty on the Absence of IPN President Election This Sejm Session:
It's Not on the Agenda.
"It will not happen, because it's not on the agenda," Włodzimierz Czarzasty said at a press conference when asked if the Sejm would elect the President of the Institute of National Remembrance during this session.
"It has been postponed," he continued.
"There was a motion by Marshal Piotr Zgorzelski to postpone it, and the motion was granted," he added.
10:06
Czarzasty:
Controls Underway in Ziobro and Romanowski's Offices
- These controls are currently underway. If we have the results of these controls, I will inform you at a press conference before the next, or the one after that, Sejm session - Włodzimierz Czarzasty stated at a press conference when asked about controls in the parliamentary offices of Zbigniew Ziobro and Marcin Romanowski.

Czarzasty on Poland's Relations with Ukraine:
The Problem is Not to Escalate This Conflict. Someone Must Be Wiser.
"President Zelensky's decision is a bad decision. I say this clearly. It is a decision that should not have happened, a decision that should be condemned and called what it deserves" - Włodzimierz Czarzasty said at a press conference.
"However, the problem lies in not escalating this conflict. Someone in this matter, without offending anyone, must be wiser. If it is the case that there is currently a decision on the Polish side, I would really advise thinking 10 times before we make decisions regarding Ukraine" - he continued.
"These decisions may cause further decisions on the Ukrainian side, for example, everyone will return their orders, then the same will happen on the Polish side, and meanwhile, there is a war" - he went on to say.
"I appeal, I ask for reason from all sides. Both from President Nawrocki and from President Zelensky" - he emphasized.
10:14
Czarzasty Delivers a Message to Nawrocki Regarding Partnership Unions:
The Choice Is Yours, Mr. President.
- Regarding partnership unions, everything has been done by the Polish Sejm - Włodzimierz Czarzasty stated at a press conference.
- According to [...] a poll, 48% of Poles are in favor of the president signing this into law, believing it would be good to introduce this legislation, while 14% are against it - he continued.
- I used to be in favor of not processing laws that were known beforehand that a certain president would not sign. I have now changed my mind on this matter. Mr. President, if you do not sign this, I kindly inform you, Mr. President, that 47.8% of Poles will be dissatisfied, and 14.3% will be satisfied. The choice, Mr. President, is yours - he went on to say.

Zandberg:
For 250 Days, the Ruling Majority Has Blocked Debate on the Free School Lunches Bill
- For 250 days, the ruling majority has blocked discussion in this chamber on the bill from the Together party concerning free school lunches, a measure that provides local governments with the tools to ensure every child receives a guaranteed free, warm meal. If you don't believe us, our local government officials, then talk to your own local government officials - stated Adrian Zandberg in the Sejm.
10:24
Czarnek on Szeptycki's Words:
Why Are There Still Ukrainians Insulting Poles in This Government?
- You are parasites, you are traitors to the Polish nation and the interests of the Polish nation. From this place, 1.5 years ago, we debated the law banning Banderism and the law on the Volhynian lie, which introduces a penalty of imprisonment of up to 3 years for people like Mr. Szeptycki - stated Przemysław Czarnek in the Sejm.
- We now know why you froze that bill in the justice committee. So that this government could keep people like Szeptycki in its ranks, who say that the murderers who killed hundreds of thousands of Poles are valiant soldiers. Shame, scandal, I demand a break in the proceedings and the convening of the Convention of Seniors to clarify this matter, why are there still Ukrainians insulting Poles in this government? - he continued.
10:33
Czarzasty:
It's a scandal you're looking for people of Ukrainian and Jewish origin in the government, and soon you'll be looking for gay people
– It is a scandal that you are looking for people of Ukrainian and Jewish origin in the government, and soon you will be looking for gay people. It is a scandal. I condemn this as the Marshal of the Sejm, unequivocally – stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty in the Sejm.
10:38
Kosiniak-Kamysz:
PiS, Confederation, and Nawrocki Against a Secure Poland
- PiS, which is against a secure Poland, Confederation, which is against a secure Poland, President Nawrocki, who is against the SAFE program and a secure Poland. Do you know how much they contracted in Polish industry over 8 years? 97 billion, we in 3 days 120 billion in the Polish defense industry - stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz in the Sejm.
10:49
Kosiniak-Kamysz:
Zelensky's Decision is Unacceptable and a Change is Needed
- Today we say clearly and unequivocally that this decision made by President Zelensky is unacceptable and a change to this decision is needed. But we also know that today the border of Polish security lies on the Ukrainian-Russian front, and there, true heroes are fighting today, who are also defending the possibility of building a strong and secure Poland - stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz in the Sejm.
11:48
Kosiniak-Kamysz Asked About the Candidate in Krakow:
Please allow a few more hours of patience.
- Please allow a few more hours of patience and everything will be, I think, clear. Please be patient for a moment - stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz in an interview with journalists in the Sejm.
11:55
Kosiniak-Kamysz on Nawrocki’s Proposal Regarding Zelensky:
Prudent Action.
- As you can see, I've been quite critical of the President lately, but I consider this [the proposal regarding the Order of the White Eagle] to be a prudent action – stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz in a conversation with journalists in the Sejm.

Mentzen slams Czarnek:
It’s a shame you resigned after Błaszczak forbade it.
- Dear Przemek, I appreciate that you, as the only PiS member, wanted to co-sign the motion to dismiss Minister Cienkowska. It's a shame you resigned after Błaszczak forbade you to do so. I would try to understand it if Kaczyński himself had forbidden you - wrote Sławomir Mentzen on social media.
- But Błaszczak? Seriously? We already know that if you become Prime Minister, you will ask Kaczyński and Błaszczak for permission before making any decision. Who else? Which PiS Vice-Chairman? Anna Krupka? - he added.
Drogi Przemku, doceniam, że jako jedyny członek PiS chciałeś podpisać się pod wnioskiem o odwołanie minister Cienkowskiej. Szkoda, że zrezygnowałeś po tym, jak zabronił Ci tego Błaszczak.

Civic Coalition and Polish People's Party Announce Candidate for Mayor of Krakow:
We Had Exactly the Same Idea.
"I have made the decision that I will run for the position of Mayor of Krakow. A city where I have spent my entire adult life. A city where I completed my studies. A city where I gave birth to my son," said Monika Piątkowska at a press conference.
"I am very proud and very happy about this, and I very warmly thank Prime Minister Donald Tusk and Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz for deciding to support my candidacy," she continued.
"I am going to the Krakow City Hall as a manager, as a specialist, as someone who knows Krakow inside out. I have spent many years in the Krakow City Hall. I am going to Krakow as a city that is my only political party, which is the most important city to me," she went on to say.
Prime Minister Donald Tusk and Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz also spoke at the press conference.
"I am very happy that without any problem, with Prime Minister Kosiniak-Kamysz and our partners from the Polish People's Party, we had exactly the same idea, and this idea turned out to be indisputably correct, because it also aligned with the aspirations of Senator Monika Piątkowska," said Prime Minister Donald Tusk.
"To step forward at such a moment and take on responsibility, having a plan for Krakow, for Krakow residents, for the development of our beloved city, it is only a source of pride to be able to support such a candidate," said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz.
14:44
Piątkowska on the Referendum:
I Didn't Participate,"but 'I Heard the Voice of Krakow Residents Regarding the Clean Transport Zone, Cost of Living, and Politicization of the City.
- I did not participate in the referendum. I believed that Aleksander Miszalski had made an agreement with the residents for 5 years and should finish this term, but the residents have decided, both those who went to the referendum and those who did not - said Monika Piątkowska at a press conference.
- I heard the voice of Krakow residents regarding the Clean Transport Zone, which will require a major overhaul. I heard the voice of Krakow residents regarding the high cost of living. I heard the voice of Krakow residents regarding the politicization of our city - she continued.
- I did not participate in the referendum, but I respect everyone, both those who did not take part and those who did participate in the referendum - she added.
14:50
Tusk:
Polls Show Krakow Faces a Choice Between Piątkowska and Gibała
- I also asked for an assessment of the situation, what the political landscape looks like after the battle and before the battle in Krakow, and from the research, an evaluation of this situation, conducted by professional public opinion researchers, it clearly results at the moment that, yes, Krakow will face the alternative of Monika Piątkowska and Łukasz Gibała - Prime Minister Donald Tusk said at a press conference.
- The polls have clearly indicated that, yes, this is the alternative - he continued.
15:15
Tusk:
I Turned More Towards Ukraine to Show Initiative, Because it Was the Ukrainian President's Decision That Led to the Crisis
- I appealed to both presidents to find a better way than exchanging blows to de-escalate these emotions. To be honest, I turned more towards Ukraine, urging them to take the necessary initiatives, to show both goodwill and inventiveness, because it was the Ukrainian President's decision that led to this crisis, I have no doubts about that - Prime Minister Donald Tusk said at a press conference.
- The role of presidents in such a situation is to find a good solution. Not an ideal one, there won't be one - he continued.
15:21
Tusk on the Need to De-escalate Emotions on the Poland-Ukraine Line:
I Will Do Everything, Whether Some People Like It or Not.
- It is in Poland's interest to de-escalate these emotions, because it is in Poland's obvious interest [...] to effectively support Ukraine in its fight against Russia. Ukraine cannot lose this war; if Ukraine loses this war, should that happen, Poland will find itself in a dramatically more difficult situation - Prime Minister Donald Tusk said at a press conference.
- So I will do everything, whether some people like it or not - he continued.
- Sometimes, you know, I also get furious when I hear foolish statements from the other side of the border. I explained to President Zelensky for a long time: remember, you have your sensitivities, we have our sensitivities, take care of us as we take care of you, these relations must be equal - he continued.
15:25
Tusk on Ukraine's Path to EU Membership:
No Special Treatment Allowed.
"We will not trade support for Ukrainian ambitions. Ukraine should become part of the European Union under the conditions it must meet," said Prime Minister Donald Tusk at a press conference.
"There will also be no, you know, special treatment from our side. Meaning, Poland will support Ukraine on its path to Europe under conditions that will be European and that will be safe and beneficial for Poland," he continued.
15:29
Tusk:
When I spoke of a lack of diplomatic results, I was referring to Budanov's mission and the lack of effort from diplomats on both sides to break the deadlock.
- When I spoke of the lack of diplomatic results, I was referring to the failure, or rather, I would say, the lack of concrete results of Mr. Budanov's mission, who came to Poland. I was specifically referring to the efforts, or sometimes the lack of effort, from diplomats on both sides to find a quick and sensible way out of this unnecessary deadlock. This had no connection to the E3 format meetings - Prime Minister Donald Tusk said at a press conference.
15:36
- Yesterday I spoke at length with Prime Minister Meloni, who is not thrilled about the existence of such a format as the E3 - stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk at a press conference.
- This morning I had a long conversation with Chancellor Merz, who explained his motivations and presented in detail the outcomes, or rather the course, because there are no outcomes yet, of the talks in London. I said that from Poland's perspective, any agreements in which Poland does not participate will not be respected by us, meaning they will not be binding for us - he continued.
15:41
Tusk:
I Don't Get the Impression Zelensky's Decision Was Intended to Target Poland
- I listened to various arguments from the Ukrainian side; they don't convince us. But I would like to say one thing: I don't get the impression [...] that President Zelensky's decision to name this military unit had the intention of targeting Poland - said Prime Minister Donald Tusk at a press conference.
- I accuse the Ukrainian side of a lack of sensitivity and historical understanding. I accuse them of a lack of political empathy and rational thinking about our common interests - he continued.
15:46
Tusk Asked About Zelensky's Participation in the Reconstruction Conference in Gdańsk:
He is a co-host of this event, so I am not waiting for any confirmation.
- Mr. President Zelensky is a co-host of this event, so I am not waiting for any confirmation here. I believe it will be a completely obvious matter that we will welcome those who arrive, companies, businesses, to Gdańsk. This is in the interest of both Ukraine and Poland - Prime Minister Donald Tusk said at a press conference, when asked if there was an official confirmation of Volodymyr Zelensky's participation in the reconstruction conference in Gdańsk.
- We will see how it goes, but for now, I have no signals that the Ukrainian side would want to disregard this in their plans - he continued.
19:39
"It's Law and Justice's second lung, and we announced that we would operate this way" – said Mariusz Błaszczak in an interview with Piotr Witwicki on the program "Gość Wydarzeń" (Guest of Events) on Polsat News, when asked about the "Po Pierwsze Polska" (First and Foremost Poland) association.
"Both. Equally. Two lungs" – he continued, when pressed whether he liked one of the associations more.
"I see it this way: I try to support all my MPs and senators, meaning my colleagues who are in the Law and Justice Parliamentary Club" – he went on to say.
"Of course, a party within a party makes no sense, but an association with an expert character, yes, absolutely" – he added.
19:45
Błaszczak:
Ukrainians Disrespect and Undermine Tusk
- Since December 13th, 2023, Donald Tusk has been in power, and what is happening in Polish-Ukrainian relations? Ukrainians do not respect Donald Tusk, they disregard Donald Tusk - stated Mariusz Błaszczak on Polsat News.
19:57
Bosak on Nawrocki's presidency:
Generally I am satisfied.
- Generally I am satisfied [with Karol Nawrocki's presidency]. I think it's good that there is courage, both in making decisive statements and in vetoing bad laws. Literally, there were 2-3 laws that, had I been president, I would have also vetoed, but which the president signed - stated Krzysztof Bosak on PRZEkanał.
20:01
Czarzasty on Zelensky:
It was a bad, unnecessary, inflammatory decision, at the wrong time.
- A wise gesture. They simply need to withdraw from this [President Zelensky's decision]. I mean, I don't understand this decision, and I don't want to get into explaining that they have a different view of history at all. These are two nations, so such things and interpretations happen. It was a bad, unnecessary, inflammatory decision, at the wrong time, and it should never have happened at all - stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty on TVP Info.
20:06
Czarzasty Appeals Regarding Relations with Ukraine:
Let's All Pour Buckets of Cold Water on Our Heads.
- I appeal to everyone. Let's all pour buckets of cold water on our heads, because Poland's security in 2 years, 4 years, 10 years is important, not a word-for-word quarrel after which we will scatter all the blocks, little blocks, that we will be picking up for 10 years afterwards. Ukrainians know what we expect from them. All people who want wisdom and reason in this matter have held talks with the Ukrainians. We have all presented a similar way of seeing things - stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty on TVP Info.

Kaczyński on the 'Hunt for Independent Journalists':
We've Entered the Path of Lukashenko and Putin.
- If the authorities hunt independent journalists and imprison them, it is a sign not of strength, but of weakness. We have entered the path of Lukashenko and Putin - wrote Jarosław Kaczyński on social media.
