I'm not blaming anyone, this system is truly degenerate, it has been becoming an increasingly inefficient system over the years and increasingly focused on increasing earnings, at least in relation to some doctors, and disparities have occurred and continue to occur where some hospitals have salaries that constitute almost 100% of the hospital's total expenses - stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk at a press conference.

- In addition to this, there's the atmosphere of discretion, not to say secrecy. No one knows exactly who earns how much, there is no access to information about which doctor earns how much and where, and this evokes negative emotions and suspicions, but as we can see, these are often justified emotions and suspicions. Regarding these wage ceilings, as you know, yesterday we adopted the bill at the government meeting, which will finally enable a government agency within the Ministry of Health to control and supervise wages, and it will be linked to specific individuals and names - he continued.

In a situation where you send Poles, who were suspected of being ill, from queues to the end of next year for MRI scans, CT scans, gastroscopy, colonoscopy, in a situation where you do not even allow them to attempt to save their lives, you are treating yourselves through such a coordinator, a bold twenty-something without specialization, for PLN 1.6 million, paid from public funds, this is a scandal of unprecedented scale - stated Przemysław Czarnek at a press briefing in the Sejm.

- I want to advance the discussion on the need for radical changes within the healthcare system and will present to you four points that we believe should be discussed immediately, without prejudging the outcome of this discussion. I am submitting proposals that go much further than those presented so far, and I am doing so consciously on behalf of the Left Parliamentary Club - said Włodzimierz Czarzasty at a press conference.

- We believe that the maximum remuneration limit for doctors needs to be seriously discussed. [...] I believe the time has come to engage in a discussion about prohibiting doctors from combining private practice with practice in public healthcare facilities - he continued.

- I believe that an analysis must be conducted immediately and reviewed to determine if medical equipment and apparatus are utilized to their full capacity [...]. The fourth point is the enforcement of doctors' working time records - he further stated.

- This is not a witch hunt against doctors. [...] It is not the doctors' fault that this is the situation; I do not blame the doctors and I am not conducting a witch hunt against doctors, but it is high time to approach the functioning of the healthcare system very seriously and very radically and discuss these matters - he added.

- I am submitting these matters for discussion, stating that the Left, within the framework of the October 15 coalition, is ready to support very radical changes in the healthcare system - he emphasized.

- President Karol Nawrocki [...] submitted a bill to the Sejm aimed at restoring the right to a trial and resolving cases without undue delay.
