Müller:

Kołodziejczak Holds No Public Office. He'll Be Received at Tusk's Request to Create the Impression He's Accomplishing Something

- Mr. Kołodziejczak currently holds no public office. So, in short, he is being received, or will be received, at the request of Donald Tusk by his colleagues from the EPP, in order to create the impression that he is accomplishing something. Incidentally, I have the impression, not just an impression but also insider information from the European Commission, that this procedure has been extended so that this show could be staged precisely during the European Parliament session in Strasbourg - stated Piotr Müller in a conversation with Grzegorz Kępka on Polsat News' "Graffiti".

08:04

Müller Announces Government Resolution Urging the European Commission to Extend the Ukrainian Grain Import Ban

- I think so, we are close to extending this solution, but I will say it this way: even if it doesn't happen, we have a ready regulation that we will implement at the national level on this matter, and this is the government's decision. Today, moreover, a Council of Ministers resolution will be adopted on this matter, the government will adopt a resolution calling on the European Commission to extend this ban, and at the same time will announce that if this does not happen, we will adopt solutions at the national level based on the security clause - stated Piotr Müller in "Graffiti" Polsat News.

08:06

Wąsik:

It's More Likely He's Building a Narrative That Tusk Knows He Will Lose

- Please tell me, what are the premises on which Donald Tusk is building the narrative that Mr. Trzaskowski has become president. He said that he won the presidential election – that's nonsense, it's an aberration, it's some kind of idiocy. He is creating a certain mood of threat in Poland, of dictatorship. Elections are free, everyone can run. The opposition is using this, sometimes even excessively, because they put forward numerous lists – stated Maciej Wąsik in the program 'Signals of the Day' on PR1.

- It seems to me that it is rather building a narrative that he [Donald Tusk] knows he will lose, so as to say 'Didn't I tell you these elections were unfair, I lost because they were unfair'. What is unfair about these elections? – he added.

Morawiecki:

Poland Will Not Let Itself Be Flooded by Ukrainian Grain. Regardless of Brussels Officials' Decisions, We Will Not Open the Border
- When our neighbors needed help, we opened our hearts and homes. That is how Poles are. But when it comes to fighting for Poland's interests, only the PiS government guarantees that the interests of our farmers will be protected - said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in a recording published on social media. - We are saying "no" to destabilizing and harming the Polish agricultural market, consumers, and producers. It was our firm stance that led to the halt of Ukrainian grain imports to the common EU market. Now the EU is considering whether to maintain this embargo - he continued. - I will tell you how this will end. Poland will not allow itself to be flooded by Ukrainian grain. Regardless of the decision made by Brussels officials, we will not open the border. They must take this into account, because it is Poles who decide how things should look in our own home - emphasized the head of government.

08:07

Wąsik on the Situation at the Belarusian Border: 'It's Calm, But That Doesn't Mean Something Couldn't Happen Soon'
'It's calm, but that doesn't mean something couldn't happen soon. Our patrols are constantly being attacked with stones and branches, but the pressure on the border is indeed lower. I attribute this state of affairs to the fact that we have significantly reinforced the border. Today, in addition to the constructed barrier, which is of paramount importance, and the perimeter system which provides immense support, there are 10,000 soldiers, of which 4,000 are directly at the border, 5,000 border guards, and almost 1,000 police officers,' stated Maciej Wąsik on the program 'Sygnały dnia' on PR1.

Müller:

Banaś Clearly Took a Side, It's Hard to Speak of Any NIK Credibility

- Of course, NIK has the right to issue such verdicts, but these are reports that are subsequently subject to potential assessment by the prosecutor's office and the court, and that's how the procedure works in Poland. Ever since President Banaś clearly took a side in the political arena, that is, for Konfederacja, and his son is running for the Sejm with that political party, it's hard to speak of any credibility of NIK. Such reports will appear in droves just before the elections, because as I understand it, it's probably understandable even to most of those listening to us, President Banaś wants his son to get into the Sejm, and for that to be possible, he has to attack us - stated Piotr Müller in "Graffiti" on Polsat News.

08:11

Kołodziejczak:

Flying to Strasbourg to Fight for Polish Farmers and Verify PiS's Actions on Their Behalf
- I am flying to Strasbourg today for 2 days to fight for Polish farmers. To fight for Polish bread, for Polish agriculture to be able to survive. Today I have a meeting with the head of the European Parliament [...]. I am flying to verify what PiS has done in our matter, in the matter of Polish farmers, Polish food - said Michał Kołodziejczak at a press conference in Warsaw.

- In Poland, they claim to have done a lot. Since yesterday, I have already been receiving signals from various European politicians saying that they are not convinced that the Polish government is committed to extending the regulations intended to protect Polish and European agriculture - he continued.

- We will show that AgroUnia and Civic Coalition will handle these matters. A scandalous situation has arisen where Polish farmers do not know what regulations will be in force in a few days, actually in 3 days. We cannot allow this - he argued, referring to the expiring EU ban on Ukrainian grain imports on September 15th.

08:12

Wąsik:

Grabiec Recently Said Confederation Has Interesting Programmatic Ideas

- I think recently MP Grabiec said that Confederation has interesting programmatic ideas. This is laying the groundwork to sit down and talk. Yes, I can imagine such a government. Hatred of PiS unites, please remember this and look at what a hodgepodge the PO list is - stated Maciej Wąsik in the program "Sygnały dnia" on PR1.

08:46

Maląg:

Our Priority is for Systemic Solutions to Guarantee at Least the Minimum Pension
- Career-based pensions, as announced by President [Kaczyński] at the last convention, we are planning for 38 years for women and 43 years for men [...] we will be preparing such a draft bill so that individuals who accumulate these years of service also have the right to a minimum pension. We will absolutely not introduce solutions that would result in pensions lower than the minimum pension in Poland [...] our priority is for systemic solutions to guarantee at least, and this is very important, at least the minimum pension, but of course, everything depends on the accumulated contributions - Marlena Maląg said in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on the program "Gość Radia ZET".

08:57

Maląg on the 'Visa Scandal': The Matter is Being Investigated
- Everything requires some clarification, and therefore we are primarily taking actions to ensure everything operates in accordance with the law [...] the matter is being investigated, while we, I will repeat once again, to work in Poland, one must meet specific conditions, both for the employer and for the person applying for a stay here in Poland - said Marlena Maląg on Radio ZET, when asked about reports concerning irregularities in Polish consulates regarding the issuance of visas for foreigners.

09:05

Maląg on Minimum Wage for 2024: I Think We'll Know on Thursday
- I think [the amount of the minimum wage for 2024] we will know on Thursday, because that's how we plan [...] by September 15th, which is Friday, we have time to issue the regulation [...] the topic is still under deep analysis, it is a very responsible decision, one thing that is certainly important, due to the fact that the inflation rate was higher this year than 5% [price index, inflation higher than 5%], the minimum wage will certainly also be indexed from July next year, meaning twice - said Marlena Maląg on Radio ZET.

09:10

Kobosko:

I Can't Imagine Cooperating with Konfederacja

- I can't imagine cooperating with Konfederacja. I don't know what and who Konfederacja is today. It's a union of forces from several different environments. We all saw Konfederacja's summer surge, which has ended; their ratings are falling. In my opinion, it's very rightly so that they are falling. Many elements of the programs that Konfederacja presents are completely incompatible with Poland's raison d'état and with our understanding of democracy - stated Michał Kobosko in an interview with Grzegorz Jankowski on "Sygnały dnia" PR1.

09:10

Another Spot in the Local Campaign. Deputy Head of MAP Andrzej Śliwka: "I Promise I Will Work Hard Every Day"
Individual campaign spots at the electoral district level are beginning to appear. These initial spots primarily serve as "calling cards" to introduce candidates to voters. "I was born here, this is my place on earth. Why do I want to win these elections? Out of love for our region. I want there to be jobs, development, and security here. I want the dreams, plans, and aspirations of every resident to be fulfilled here. Our region deserves it” - says Andrzej Śliwka, Deputy Head of the Ministry of State Assets, running from third place on the PiS list in Elbląg. The spot showcases the most characteristic landmarks of Elbląg and the region, including the Vistula Spit canal, the newly built Fire Brigade headquarters, and military ceremonies at a developing unit. "I promise I will work hard every day” - Śliwka states in the spot. Radio ZET reported that in many cases, during parliamentary elections, PiS is "testing" future candidates for the mayors of larger cities. Śliwka is among those being considered for Elbląg. According to Radio ZET's findings, PiS has designated the following to compete for mayoral seats: in Lublin, MP and former Deputy Head of the Ministry of Interior and Administration Sylwester Tułajew; in Białystok, the Marshal of the Podlaskie Voivodeship Artur Kosicki; and in Lubin, the Head of the Prime Minister's Political Cabinet Krzysztof Kubów. Danuta Dmowska-Andrzejuk, a Polish sabre fencer, world and European champion, and former soldier, is slated to be PiS's candidate for Mayor of Warsaw.

09:11

Kobosko:

We Cannot Reveal All Our Cards at Once in Subsequent Meetings

- We will present all these details during the election campaign. It was our economic convention on Saturday, where we presented a whole package of matters, a whole package of projects, which are our projects and those of the Polish People's Party. Now, in the course of subsequent meetings, we cannot reveal all our cards at once; we will present detailed solutions - stated Michał Kobosko on "Sygnały dnia" (Signals of the Day) on PR1.

09:14

Maląg on whether the 800+ Picnics were an Election Campaign: Absolutely Not
- Why should we deduct any money from the [campaign] fund? No, absolutely not [it was not an election campaign]. Informational policy for every program that is implemented in various areas, not just in the Ministry of Family, is always carried out. First and foremost, Poles, Polish families must participate in this informational policy - said Marlena Maląg on Radio ZET when asked whether PiS deducted money spent on the 800+ picnics from the campaign fund.

09:17

Kobosko:

We Waited for the Saturday KO Convention Because We Didn't Have Clarity on Their Program Before

- We were greatly anticipating the Saturday convention of Civic Coalition because, until then, we lacked full clarity on their program and what they intended to present to voters. Now, we have greater clarity and are ready to discuss the program for a future government with other democratic opposition parties - stated Michał Kobosko on "Sygnały dnia" PR1.

09:27

Schetyna:

Kołodziejczak Heads to Strasbourg as an Opposition Leader and Charismatic Figurehead of Farmer Protests
- As one of the leaders of the political opposition and a charismatic figurehead of the farmer protests, [Michał Kołodziejczak is flying to Strasbourg in this capacity]. Of course, there are elections in Poland, but this is about full information. All hands on deck; if any of us can help this cause and Polish farmers on this matter today, I wouldn't close any doors, which is why I'm not questioning this… - said Grzegorz Schetyna in a conversation with Beata Michniewicz on "Salon Polityczny Trójki" (Political Salon of Trójka) on PR3. - First and foremost, [he is going to help] Polish farmers. We are all here to help Polish farmers; it is the government's duty. If the government cannot cope, then the opposition must help - he continued.

09:30

Schetyna:

Victory of the democratic opposition and their declaration that the rule of law will be restored in Poland is enough to unlock KPO funds
- [The money from the KPO] is on the table, because it's only a matter of the Polish government's commitment. After all, Morawiecki and Kaczyński can do it, say that Ziobro will not demolish the rule of law system, will not destroy courts and judges, and this matter will be immediately unblocked. This is obvious - Grzegorz Schetyna said in the "Political Salon of Trójka" PR3. - Of course, it's enough for the democratic opposition to win the elections and declare that the rule of law will be restored in Poland and the independence of courts and judges will be guaranteed. That is enough to unlock the KPO funds - he added.

10:20

Dziambor on Coalition with Konfederacja: I Don't Rule It Out, Professional Politics Isn't Waving a Wooden Sword
- I don't rule that out, of course [a coalition with Konfederacja against PiS], because professional politics is politics where you don't discuss where we can wave a wooden sword, but what we can do together and what problems we can solve, that's not ruled out – Artur Dziambor said in an interview with Robert Mazurek on RMF FM's "Morning Interview". - I look at the polls and imagine that something like this might happen [a coalition of PO, Third Way, Konfederacja, and perhaps even the Left], if, for example, it turns out that Konfederacja has a high result, then Konfederacja, just like Leszek Balcerowicz and the Freedom Union once did, will decide whether AWS or SLD [parties] will be in power, and it will be Konfederacja that decides whether to negotiate with PiS or PO. It can happen, and it may not happen – he continued. - I think that if such an opportunity arises [a coalition of the Third Way with Konfederacja], it should be seized – he added.

10:37

Dziambor on the Constitutional Tribunal Request Regarding Abortion: That Signature Was a Mistake, I Will Try to Fix It in the New Sejm
- The point was for the Constitutional Tribunal to examine how the [abortion] law relates to the Constitution. Unfortunately, the Constitution was written by the Left in such a way that the Tribunal ruled as it did. It could have ruled that it returns to the legislator, and then we could have worked on it. The day after the ruling, I issued a statement that lethal defects should be introduced into the law as quickly as possible to resolve the matter and end this discussion. President Andrzej Duda, in line with what I said, drafted a specific bill which was submitted to the Speaker and then shelved until the end of this term because there was no political will - Artur Dziambor said on RMF FM. - I was the only one who reacted correctly after that Tribunal, after that ruling by that Tribunal [...] that signature [on the request to the Constitutional Tribunal regarding abortion] was a mistake [...] I, as I said, tried to fix it and will try to fix it in the new Sejm - he continued.

10:42

Dziambor:

Fortunately, there's no party discipline on social issues; I'll be able to vote according to my conscience
- First and foremost, as I've said, I would like there to be certain economic solutions implemented that will fix the state after the PiS government. Social issues are matters we will discuss individually, and here [...] fortunately, there is no party discipline from the list I'm running on. So, I will be able to vote according to my conscience where such votes occur. However, when it comes to the economy, I am very strongly committed to the solutions that are presented there. Therefore, I hope that ZUS holidays will be introduced, I hope that VAT and PIT paid from the invoice issued will be introduced. I hope that a family tax relief will be introduced, meaning for families with three-plus children. I hope the sugar tax I've spoken about will be abolished – Artur Dziambor said on RMF FM.

10:48

Sawicki:

It's in the Interest of Three Opposition Groups to Achieve a Result Enabling an Independent Government, Without Relying on Others

- We are a party at the center, and you know perfectly well that I am a conservative centrist, so I don't rule out such possibilities, but you also heard that The Left has already decidedly ruled out such a possibility, and our coalition partner Poland 2050 also largely rules it out. So today, it should be in the interest of the three opposition groups, the Third Way, The Left, and Civic Coalition, to achieve a result that allows for the formation of an independent government and without looking to other partners - stated Marek Sawicki in an interview with Jacek Prusinowski on Radio Plus.

10:50

Czarzasty to Dziambor: I and the other leaders of the Left unequivocally rule out a coalition with your brown colleagues

- You, on behalf of the Third Way, may not rule out a coalition with Confederation. I and the other leaders of the Left UNEQUIVOCALLY rule out a coalition with your brown colleagues - wrote Włodzimierz Czarzasty on Twitter, responding to Artur Dziambor's words.

11:39

Morawiecki:

I hope we will adopt a resolution extending the embargo on Ukrainian grain, regardless of the European Commission's decision
- Today, during the Council of Ministers meeting, we have one fundamental decision to make, one resolution that is very important for Polish agriculture [...] we know very well that the agricultural market has been fundamentally destabilized by the opening of the European market and the European Commission's decision, which was made in a certain way. After the destabilization of the Polish market, we decided to take unilateral, very decisive actions. We took these actions in April, introducing a complete ban on the import of four grain products - Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said at the government meeting. - Later, through pressure on the European Commission, the Commission reacted, following our unilateral decision, and introduced a ban on imports into the entire European Union in May. However, this ban was only introduced until September 15th, and in three days this ban will cease to be in effect. Therefore, today, after conducting discussions, I hope we will adopt a resolution, as a result of which it will be absolutely clear [...] that regardless of what the European Commission's decision is, we will extend this embargo anyway. Either the European Commission will agree with our demands and extend the embargo after September 15th, which is our clear demand, or we will implement such solutions ourselves as we implemented on April 15th - he continued.

11:50

Pomaska:

Morawiecki Enjoys Bragging, We Encourage Him to Boast About His Actions in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
- In 2021, Prime Minister Morawiecki once again promised money, funding, increased funding for child and adolescent psychiatry. PLN 220 million – that’s what he promised back then, and he has not accounted for these promises to this day […]. The situation remains tragic concerning the number of residents undergoing specialization; there were only 40 such residents over the year – said Agnieszka Pomaska at a press conference. - Prime Minister Morawiecki very much enjoys bragging, he likes to engage in propaganda, so we encourage him to boast about what he has done regarding child and adolescent psychiatry, at least over these past two years – she added.

11:52

Nowacka:

We Will Rebuild Young People's Trust in the State. It Cannot Be That They Are Left to Their Own Devices When They Need Help the Most
- We did not build a community in Poland for such important matters [child and adolescent psychiatry] to be left solely to the goodwill of local governments and the commitment of social activists. These are issues: access to a psychiatrist, access to a psychologist – these are things that Polish youth are simply entitled to. We have 100 concrete actions for 100 days. There are firm commitments concerning healthcare, but also care for those in need of help, psychological and psychiatric assistance [...]. We will also rebuild the trust of young people in the state, because it cannot be that they are left to their own devices when they need help the most - said Barbara Nowacka at a press conference.

ORLEN Paczka: Pick Up Your Parcel at One of 10,000 Locations

The number of locations where you can use the ORLEN Paczka service has now exceeded 10,000. The concern is dynamically increasing its potential in the courier services market by acquiring new partner points and investing in its own parcel lockers. By the end of the year, the company aims to have four thousand such automated machines.

– The courier services segment is an important part of ORLEN Group's retail offering development strategy. In 1.5 years, ORLEN Paczka has become a significant player in the domestic market and continues to develop very dynamically. Over the year, the number of our service's clients has increased by 90 percent. We are focusing on expanding our logistical capabilities and developing the parcel locker segment, the number of which will double this year – says Daniel Obajtek, CEO of ORLEN Group.

At the end of August, the number of ORLEN Paczka pick-up points exceeded 10,000. Parcels can currently be sent and received at over 3,300 parcel lockers, approximately 1,100 petrol stations, 700 RUCH kiosks, and around 5,000 partner points. The ORLEN Paczka network is dynamically expanding every day.

Since its launch in September 2021, ORLEN Paczka has recorded significant increases in parcel volumes and a multiplication of the number of senders. Compared to the second quarter of last year, in the last quarter of this year, the concern noted a 165% increase in parcel volume and a 90% increase in the number of users. The service guarantees next-day delivery of parcels from online stores and provides up to three days for parcel collection. To enhance the comfort and accessibility of ORLEN Paczka, the concern is heavily investing in parcel lockers. Currently, there are 3,300 of them, but by the end of the year, their number will exceed 4,000.

Simultaneously, the concern is developing its logistics center network. ORLEN Paczka currently has 19 centers and plans to launch another four by the end of the year. The company is also increasing the number of couriers and expanding logistical routes to ensure next-day delivery from online stores, despite the growing number of clients and transported parcels.

The concern is noting consistent increases in ORLEN Paczka user satisfaction ratings – as many as 82 percent of them give it the highest rating, and 91 percent of clients rate it as above average.

Construction Work to Begin at Offshore Wind Farm Installation Port in Świnoujście in Coming Weeks
In the coming weeks, we will commence construction work at the installation port for offshore wind farms in Świnoujście. The terminal will be the first of its kind in Poland and one of the most modern in Europe. The recently selected contractor for the investment marks another significant milestone in the Baltic Power project's timeline. The project is expected to secure its final investment decision this year and begin producing clean energy for 1.5 million households from 2026, as announced by PKN Orlen CEO Daniel Obajtek.

Morawiecki:

Embargo Remains

The PiS government is protecting Polish farmers! We will not open our borders to Ukrainian grain! The EMBARGO remains! - Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki wrote on Twitter.

14:35

Kierwiński:

We Continue Our Investigation into the Visa Issuance Procedure for Foreigners
- We are continuing our investigation into the procedure for issuing visas to foreigners from African and Asian countries. Today, we were at the Police Headquarters and, to our regret, we have the impression that the Chief of Police is doing everything he can to withhold information on this matter, that the Chief of Police is focused on obscuring the entire issue - said Marcin Kierwiński during a press conference. - We requested, in line with the suggestions we received at the Ministry of Interior and Administration, we requested the Chief of Police for all information regarding reports, notes, correspondence from liaison officers from European Union countries and from twin police services in the European Union zone concerning the observed increase in Polish visas issued in these countries specifically for foreigners from African and Asian countries. We met with two officers who are completely uninvolved in this subject matter. The director of the internal affairs bureau and the director of human resources and the legal department were delegated to explain to us how the police operate. However, regarding the substantive issues that fall within the scope of the Department for International Cooperation, no one from this department appeared, and we were not provided with any specific information - he continued. - We know from unofficial conversations that the Polish police were informed that the number of Polish visas appearing in the European Union was drastically increasing, that such information had been reaching Polish services for many years. However, it was not checked, it was not analyzed. In the context of what we saw today, we are dealing with either a complete disregard for this problem or a desire to actually not reveal to the public the scale of this procedure over the past years. We agreed that we would submit supplementary questions in writing, although, to be completely honest, the questions we submitted were clear and transparent, and what the Chief of Police did today, in my opinion, has the hallmarks of concealing the truth and deliberately misleading public opinion - he emphasized.

14:42

Tomczyk on the "Visa Scandal": The Rulers' Hypocrisy in This Matter is Likely a Gigantic Crime
- We can certainly agree on the thesis that the Polish police exist to ensure the law is followed. So how is it possible that we have the Police Headquarters behind us, that for 7 days we've known the issue of visas is being covered by the Polish media, that a greater than standard number of visas are appearing somewhere in the entire Schengen area, and the Police Headquarters has done nothing about it so far. At least that's what conversations suggest, and in 7 days they are unable to provide any sensible answer - stated Cezary Tomczyk during a press conference. - Frankly, in this case, when you don't know what it's about, it means it's about PiS policy, because every time a state institution doesn't want to disclose data, it turns out in the end there's a very good reason for it. And that reason is political, meaning to sweep the matter under the rug - he continued. - We are dealing not only with gigantic hypocrisy but also with a conscious steering towards some gigantic social conflict, because it cannot end any other way. We will absolutely not rest until this data is revealed, because the rulers' hypocrisy in this matter is not only beyond standard, but it is also likely a gigantic crime - he emphasized.

14:42

Grabiec:

Tomorrow We Will Ask the Ministry of Labour Who Applied for These Work Permits
- We will not admit a single immigrant to Poland; this is the official stance of PiS, yet 250,000 visas for immigrants from Asia and Africa pose no problem for them. Therefore, tomorrow we will be asking about this at the Ministry of Labour, as it is within this Ministry that the data concerning who applied for these work permits is located. Who applied for these hundreds of thousands of work permits, who was interested in them, who insisted on opening these doors wide in terms of immigration from Africa and Asia, because the answers to these questions will be very interesting. We will find out who particularly cared about opening Poland so widely to immigration from Africa and Asia in the last 3 years – stated Jan Grabiec during a press conference.

15:12

Hołownia:

Poland can truly have electricity from Polish wind and Polish sun – after October 15th, it will be exactly like this
Today, a radical change is needed in the area of energy production and sales in Poland, and we know how to make this change. Poland can truly have electricity from Polish wind and Polish sun. It can truly be like this in Poland, and I hope that thanks to your decisions on October 15th, it will be exactly like this, or after October 15th, it will be exactly like this – electricity will be purchasable locally from private producers. Just like online shopping. Listen, these are not tales from some distant world. This is happening in Lithuania. If Lithuania can implement such a system, can we really not do it? - said Szymon Hołownia at a press conference. - Today, we are capable of ensuring that electricity, heat, and energy will be produced locally and purchased by us locally, and thus will be cheaper. And Poland will be safer because it will have these energy sources within its borders, rather than having to source them from the left, right, north, or south - he continued.

15:16

Szydło:

I believe all Polish MEPs will pass the test during today's EP debate, not guided by calls from other capitals
- Today, a very important resolution, a very important decision, was adopted by the Polish government. The Polish government unequivocally states in this resolution that the embargo on Ukrainian grain is maintained. Regardless of what the European Commission's decision will be, the Polish government has made a decision in the interest of Polish farmers, the Polish state. We make decisions concerning Polish farmers sovereignly - said Beata Szydło at a press conference in Strasbourg. - The Polish government has supported and continues to support the Ukrainian nation, we are helping Ukrainians, Poles have opened their homes, their hearts […]. But there comes a moment when we expect solidarity from the European Union, from the European Commission - she continued. - We hope that […] the decisions that the EC will make before September 15 will serve – such is the obligation and requirement of European solidarity – Polish farmers. Today, a debate on this issue will take place, and I deeply believe that all MEPs from Poland will pass the test and show that they stand on the side of Polish interests, and will not be guided by calls received from other capitals - emphasized the PiS MEP.

15:17

Hołownia:

Today We Should Invest All Available Funds to Make Life Cheaper for Us and Future Generations

- You've surely heard that yesterday Minister Sasin decided to add another noose to the electoral sausage they'll be feeding us before the elections. A 125 PLN bonus for every household, not per person, for every household that consumes electricity, because electricity is expensive, Minister Sasin noted. This is a very valuable observation in the eyes of someone who recently intensively made us dependent on foreign coal, who, together with the United Right government, led to the situation where we can no longer have cheap, green electricity from Polish wind and sun today, on the scale we should. Imagine today their social justice, scattering 125 PLN, which will be received equally by Obajtek and a family with five children from Elbląg, me, each of us, regardless of their status, where they are, or whether they truly need it or not. Is this social justice? Because in my opinion, this is communism, it's giving everyone equally, throwing money from a helicopter, and by a team that bought 20 million tons of foreign coal – stated Szymon Hołownia at a press conference.

- Today we should not burn money on pre-election sausage, but invest all available funds to make life cheaper for us and future generations year after year – he added.

15:18

Morawiecki:

Our Strategy is to Shorten the Path from Field to Table. Polish Entrepreneurs, Producers, and Agricultural Processors are its Key Link

- This year we have a chance to achieve an unprecedented record – over 50 billion euros in Polish exports from entrepreneurs like you, whom you see here, and those I spoke with from various sectors. These are the ones who ensure our food security. Until COVID, the outbreak of the pandemic, few remembered this slogan, this need to ensure food security. It seemed to everyone that it was given once and for all, but it is precisely thanks to Polish farmers, agricultural processors, and producers that we have indeed ensured this security. Today, I spoke with entrepreneurs about how to ensure competitiveness in the Polish market, a market where large, usually foreign, chains are also active – stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in Kosów Lacki.

- One of the entrepreneurs recalled an extremely important regulation, which I can say from this place that we will strive not only to enforce as best as possible but perhaps even strengthen. If discount chains or supermarkets display agricultural or other articles on their shelves, they can only present 20% of these articles under their own brand. The rest must be under the producer's own brand. Otherwise, Polish producers have a much harder time breaking into the domestic and foreign markets with their own brand – he continued.

- Our strategy, another part of which we presented last week and at our congress in Końskie, is to shorten the path from field to table. Polish entrepreneurs, producers, and agricultural processors are the key link in this strategy. We do not want only large international corporations, which bought up processing here, very often in the 90s, or even the 2000s, to be active in Poland. We cooperate with everyone, but now the Polish brand is key – he emphasized.

We Discussed Butter and Powdered Milk Procurement with the Head of Mlekovita Cooperative. The Government Has Entrusted This Procurement to RARS

- We are currently experiencing turbulence in the milk market, which is why we spoke today with the head of the cooperative, the CEO of Mlekovita, one of Poland's largest dairy companies, about this procurement. About the procurement of butter and powdered milk, and this procurement has been entrusted by the Polish government to the Government Agency for Strategic Reserves - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in Kosów Lacki.

I sent an ultimatum to the EC. An unequivocal demand.

- I sent an ultimatum to the EC. An unequivocal demand: either you extend the ban on importing 4 Ukrainian grains on October 15th, or we will extend the ban ourselves, because we cannot agree to the destabilization of Polish markets - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in Kosów Lacki.

Morawiecki to Farmers: We Will Always Be With You, Through Thick and Thin. We Will Not Bury Our Heads in the Sand, Pretending 'There's No Money and There Won't Be'

- What I can promise you, together with the Minister of Agriculture, is that we will always be with you, through thick and thin, that regardless of whatever disaster befalls farmers, the Polish countryside, we will not bury our heads in the sand, pretending that 'there's no money and there won't be'. We will not say, 'I didn't elect you, the village head'. The central government exists to help people in their daily lives, in their work, in the toil of Polish farmers. The problem we are currently facing is literally that in 3 days there is supposed to be an EU ban on the import of Ukrainian grain - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in Korczówka-Kolonia.

- And generally, although it means something different for breeders than for producers, I want to say clearly. That we cannot agree to the Polish market being disrupted and destabilized by the rapid, uncontrolled import of Ukrainian grain, and that is why I am saying as the Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland, after the decision we made today at the Council of Ministers, that either the EU will extend this embargo, the ban on importing Ukrainian grain into the EU, at our request in 3 days, or we ourselves will unilaterally implement a solution, which we already implemented in mid-April to protect the Polish market - he continued.

18:05

Telus:

If the EU Commission Doesn't Extend the Ban on Ukrainian Grain Imports to Poland, We Will Introduce Our Own Regulation

- On April 15th, something happened that some said was impossible, that Poland decided to make a decision against the European Union, against all those who want to impose certain things on us, and then, following the decision of Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki and Prime Minister Jarosław Kaczyński, we closed the border. We closed the Ukrainian border precisely to show the European Union that lifting customs duties on Ukraine is a major problem. It was the European Union that made this decision. The European Union knew that this was a big problem for our country and for the border countries, but they didn't want to do anything about it, and our decision caused the European Union to start discussing this issue. It was our decision that created 5 countries, a coalition of frontline countries, which led to the introduction of a ban until September 15th, but without any argument. No substantive argument as to why it is September 15th. This is a political decision - stated Robert Telus during a press conference in Korczówka-Kolonia.

- Therefore, what happened today in the Council of Ministers, thanks to the prime ministers, is that we adopted a resolution. A resolution that speaks clearly, calling on the European Commission to decide on extending the deadline for the ban on grain imports to Poland, and if the European Commission does not implement this within these 2 or 3 days, then on the night of the 15th to the 16th, our regulation will be in force. Our regulation, which will stop this grain so that it does not continue to affect the Polish market. This is in the interest of Polish farmers. This is in the interest of Poland - he added.

Trzaskowski:

The Church Should Have Absolutely Nothing to Do with the State
- In a modern state, the Church and the state must be separated. We do not want a state where the ruling party supports the Church, and the Church supports the ruling party. The Church should have absolutely nothing to do with the state. [...] The state should not support church-run businesses, it simply should not support people like Tadeusz Rydzyk, and we are not talking about charitable activities here; we are talking about purely business activities - said Rafał Trzaskowski in Radom.

18:30

Morawiecki:

Our Country Has Been Defended by the PiS Government

- When we look around us, we see two worlds. We have a world of great riots, burning cars, looted shops. I don't know if any mother would let her daughter out on the street after 9 or 10 PM if we had a situation like the one near Marseille, near Paris, near Stockholm, or Berlin, where there are districts of horror, ghettos closed off from residents, it's so dangerous. We have our country defended by the PiS government from such a scenario - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in Siedlce.

18:31

Morawiecki:

Liberals Ruled by the Law of the Fist
This opportunity could be wasted if those liberals, who ruled by the law of the fist, return to power. The law of the jungle, the law of the fist, the law of the strongest. That was the real law, their rule of law. The stronger ruled, and Siedlce or even smaller centers could forget about any investments, so that development would return here – stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in Siedlce.

18:32

Morawiecki:

Tusk is like a thief

- We had to fix the budget after those scoundrels and thieves, and start investing in social policy. I could talk for a long time, but I'll tell you this briefly. Tusk is like a thief, he won't give you anything, he'll take everything away from you. He already had his chance, he messed everything up, he neglected everything here, he compromised himself, and then he ran away - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in Siedlce.

18:42

Morawiecki:

We Said a Firm 'No' to Illegal Immigration Then, and We Will Say It Again in the Referendum

- They want to bring about a great wave of illegal immigration, and we do not want to agree to that, and we will not. They want to let hundreds of thousands of people in here. How do I know this? The simplest thing is that Tusk, as President of the European Council, threatened Poles, Hungarians, Slovaks, Czechs, and other nations with penalties, meaning consequences. If we do not comply with the demands of Merkel, the Germans, and Brussels, because they ruled then, but we resisted then. Despite the force that was pushing us then, in June 2018, we said a firm 'no' to illegal emigration, and we will say it again in the referendum - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in Siedlce.

18:45

Trzaskowski:

Nobody Wants to Bring in Hundreds of Thousands of Migrants - Except for a Certain PiS Minister
- Look at these referendum questions they've chosen. They have nothing to do with today's reality. Nobody wants to raise the retirement age, nobody. Nobody wants to bring in hundreds of thousands of refugees or migrants - except for a certain minister from PiS, who I hope will face consequences for it, because it looks like there was a serious corruption scheme involved - said Rafał Trzaskowski in Radom.

18:46

Morawiecki:

I Smile Warmly at Tusk Vision Network, at PO, and Tell All Compatriots - Poland's State Budget is More Than Safe, It's in Very Good Condition
Remember, today they dream of the Polish budget collapsing. They would want that. But I smile warmly at the Tusk Vision Network, at PO, and I tell all our compatriots – dear compatriots, the Polish state budget is more than safe, it's in very good condition, the PiS government fixed it. They are furious about it, but that's the truth – stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in Siedlce.

18:49

Trzaskowski:

Poland Remains a Democracy Solely Thanks to a Strong Civil Society
- It is not appropriate for me to speak about what happened in 2020, when I was a candidate. Fortunately, I always repeat this, Poland remains a democracy only thanks to you, thanks to a strong civil society, only thanks to you is Poland a democracy today. However, I remember those election commissions where 100% of the votes went to President Andrzej Duda. I apologize to you, I know Polish women and men, where five Poles meet, there are six opinions - said Rafał Trzaskowski in Radom.

18:53

Trzaskowski:

Have you ever seen Tusk brag about being able to talk on the phone?
- Look at the politicians of the Civic Coalition, look at Donald Tusk. Children, grandchildren, they walk the streets, they are smiling, they know how to open an account, how to send an email, how to talk on the phone. Have you ever seen Donald Tusk brag about being able to talk on the phone? - said Rafał Trzaskowski in Radom.

18:54

Trzaskowski:

Today, Supporting Civic Coalition Requires Courage
- Today, an entrepreneur, if they want to meet with an opposition politician, it is, in a sense, a kind of heroism. This is because the current authorities interfere so heavily in people's lives that they very much like to orchestrate 100 inspections for someone like that, to take an exceptional interest. The same applies to hanging our banners all over Poland. Today, supporting the Civic Coalition requires courage, but I know that if anyone, then Radom is brave - said Rafał Trzaskowski in Radom.

18:54

Morawiecki:

Persevere in Convincing Others, Let the Polish Nation Awaken, Especially in Local Poland

- I want to ask you to mobilize, to stay with us for these next four weeks. It's only four weeks and three days left, until the end, until the election silence. Persevere in convincing others, let the Polish nation awaken, especially in local Poland. Because these are elections that will decide not about four years, not about eight, but will decide about decades. Therefore, I have a great plea, let us never doubt Poland - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in Siedlce.

20:04

Morawiecki in Address: Unlike our predecessors, we don't hesitate to tell Brussels 'STOP'. We won't allow Ukrainian grain to destabilize Polish agriculture.
We – unlike our predecessors – do not hesitate to tell Brussels: “STOP”. We do not wait for the consent of Berlin and Brussels officials when it comes to defending Polish interests, defending the security of Polish families and the future of Polish farmers. Today's decision has only one goal: to protect the interests of Polish rural areas, but also to protect the interests of European agriculture. Ukraine must understand that Poland's security is as important as its own security. And for us, [Poland's security] is paramount. Russia must pay for this war, not Polish farmers – stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in his address. - As long as Law and Justice governs, we will shield Polish rural areas from every threat. The Law and Justice government has always stood and will always stand guard over national interests, regardless of who threatens them. After September 15th, Poland will maintain a decisive and full embargo on Ukrainian grain. We will not allow Ukrainian grain to destabilize Polish rural areas! We defend the interests of Polish farmers, we protect Polish rural areas! – emphasized the head of the Polish government. Below is the full text of the speech. ***** The Council of Ministers has made an important decision today regarding our country's food security. After September 15th, Poland will maintain a complete ban on the import of Ukrainian grain. This embargo will remain in effect. We will not allow Ukrainian grain to destabilize Polish rural areas! The interests of Polish farmers, Polish rural areas, and millions of Polish consumers will always be the priority for the Law and Justice government. When Putin's Russia brutally attacked Ukraine, we acted as we should have. We all rose to the occasion. We passed the test of solidarity. Polish families from cities, towns, and villages opened their hearts and the doors of their homes to welcome women and children fleeing Russian terror. Poles have done more for Ukraine than anyone else in Europe – humanitarily, militarily, and politically. Once again, because it's never too much, I sincerely thank all my compatriots from the bottom of my heart for this wonderful impulse of the heart and this grand gesture of solidarity. However, the European Commission's decision opened the door for the import of food products from Ukraine, which subsequently led to an agricultural crisis erupting in Europe, particularly affecting border countries like Poland. What was intended only as transit to third countries in greater need turned out to be a mechanism that allowed for the flooding of countries like Poland with cheaper Ukrainian grain. Unfortunately, there were companies in Poland that wanted to profit from Ukrainian grain at any cost and were not interested in the situation of Polish farmers. For a long time, the European Union was unwilling to acknowledge the problem of imported grain from Ukraine. Unable to obtain an appropriate reaction from Brussels, in mid-April, we ourselves – protecting the interests of Polish rural areas – decided to ban the import of Ukrainian grain into Poland. Together with Romania, Slovakia, Hungary, and Bulgaria, we formed a coalition of five countries that were also struggling with a similar problem. Only then did the European Commission adopt a favorable stance towards us, protecting the Polish market from grain imports from Ukraine. It was our pressure that led to the embargo being in force in Poland, i.e., a ban on the import of Ukrainian grain. However, in exactly three days, on September 15th, this EU ban on the import of grain from Ukraine – including to Poland – will expire. For over two months, our government, in cooperation with the Polish Commissioner for Agriculture, Mr. Janusz Wojciechowski, has been doing everything to extend this embargo. So far, European bureaucracy has not made a decision. We are one of the largest grain producers in Europe. We will not allow Polish agriculture, one of the leading sectors of the Polish economy, to be destroyed by anyone – to be destroyed by the negligence of Brussels bureaucrats. We know full well that big, international agricultural businesses and oligarchs want to profit at the expense of Polish farmers. We will not allow it. We do not consent to this. Export and transit to Africa and Asia – yes, destabilizing the Polish market – no! We will protect Polish grain producers, regardless of the decision the European Commission makes. Russia must pay for this war, not Polish farmers. As long as Law and Justice governs, we will shield Polish rural areas from every threat.

PiS MEP Publishes Photo of Kołodziejczak in EP Gallery: He Has Never Seen Polish Agriculture Defended So Closely

Petru on the Prime Minister's Speech: I Assess It as Exceptionally Hypocritical
- I assess it [the Prime Minister's speech] as exceptionally hypocritical. This is precisely what happened, that this whole smuggling of so-called technical grain took place during the PiS government. It was Mateusz Morawiecki and the PiS government that were unable to block the then-illegal smuggling of de facto grain, which was of significantly lower and worse quality, but also lower price. This is the same situation as with the visas. Officially, the PiS government says we are not accepting refugees. They put on a spectacle, a brazen spectacle at the Belarusian border, but at the same time, they are bringing in 300,000 [people] through visas – stated Ryszard Petru in an interview with Monika Olejnik on the program “Kropka nad i” on TVN24. - What is it really about? It's about money. It's about money in this case and in that case. Please see that in this speech, Prime Minister Morawiecki should apologize for what happened before, because they were the ones who messed things up and caused a whole lot of companies to profit from this grain import, just as they did from these visas. In other words, this is a message to the people: we are guarding the Polish border, we will not let in any grain or people, and at the same time, money is being made from selling visas, and this is simply a systemic scandal, because it is some kind of organized criminal group – he continued. - If it was illegal, there should have been referrals to the prosecutor's office. In both cases, we are dealing with hypocrisy, and I hope that on October 15th, Poles will not fall for it. So, officially, the rhetoric is anti-immigrant, anti-Ukrainian when it comes to imports, but de facto both are happening – he added.

21:24

Petru:

Such Speeches Certainly Don't Facilitate Our Negotiations with Berlin to Convince Them to Introduce an EU-Wide Import Ban
- Let's assume Poland unilaterally introduces an embargo, but the European Union doesn't. This grain can reach us from the European Union, after all, it's an open market. Therefore, such unilateral decisions are ineffective. This grain can enter our country from various places if it's only Poland. This speech is also a symptom of weakness, because what does it mean? It's not able to convince anyone in Brussels how crucial this is not only for us, for our neighbors, but for the entire European Union. So, this is an admission of weakness, such a boastful appearance on television - stated Ryszard Petru in the program “Kropka nad i” on TVN24. - Such speeches, these kinds of spots that PiS makes, certainly don't facilitate our negotiations with Berlin to convince them to introduce a ban on this type of import throughout the European Union - he emphasized.

21:27

Petru on Glapiński: He Sacrificed Inflation and Poles' Lives for the October 15th Election Results
- The złoty is weaker today by about 20 groszy compared to the situation a week ago. In practice, if this were to continue in the long term, it would mean half a percentage point higher inflation. The question is: is Adam Glapiński such an economic ignoramus, or is he prioritizing politics over everything else? I don't want to make a final judgment on him now, because in either case, it's a violation of the Act on the National Bank of Poland. Incompetence or acting for the sake of higher inflation, but if the złoty weakens by 20 groszy as a result of a bad decision and a bad press conference, which was observed by the world this time, because no one understood how high inflation is at 9.1 [...], why are interest rates being lowered in Poland when the fight against inflation hasn't ended - stated Ryszard Petru on the program “Kropka nad i” on TVN24. - A signal was sent to the world: the National Bank of Poland does not want to bring inflation down to the 2.5 level, which is painless, but has sacrificed inflation and the lives of Poles for the sake of the October 15th election results - he added.

21:29

Petru on Mentzen: If Someone Doesn't Want Public Confrontation, Such as Could Happen Today, It Means They Are Abdicating
- He [Sławomir Mentzen] probably doesn't want confrontation [because he didn't accept the invitation to "Kropka nad I"]. If someone doesn't want public confrontation, such as could happen today, it means they are abdicating, it means they don't want to engage in serious politics - stated Ryszard Petru on the program "Kropka nad i" on TVN24.

21:45

Duda:

I Have Limited Trust in Politicians, But I Have No Concerns About President Kaczyński's Credibility, as We've Known Each Other for Many Years
We are passing solidarity tests through our daily hard work, which is why the demands from 43 years ago, the Gdańsk ones, that speak of service pensions. For us trade unionists of Solidarity today, they are just as important as they were 43 years ago. That is why this declaration, I mean the political declaration from the Law and Justice party (PiS), and particularly President Kaczyński, is very important to us, not only for Solidarity members but for many employees in our country who want to take advantage of this form of retirement. I have limited trust in politicians, but I have no concerns regarding President Kaczyński's credibility, as we've known each other for many years – said Piotr Duda in the program "Gość Wiadomości" on TVP Info. As of January 1st, a very important pension system will come into effect. What PO and PSL wanted to phase out, namely bridging pensions, this is also very important for employees working in special and hazardous conditions – he added.

21:47

Duda:

We Will Definitely Discuss Pensionable Service Age After October 15th, If the Elections Favor the United Right, and That's What Matters Most to Us

- We will definitely discuss the details [of pensionable service age] after October 15th, if the elections go the way of the United Right, and that is the most important thing for us. In the Sejm, there is a citizens' initiative from Solidarity, because we are using our right in our country, unlike those who talk about the rule of law and the constitution, then break the law at every step and encourage people not to participate in the referendum. We used [our right], we prepared a citizens' initiative - said Piotr Duda in the program "Gość Wiadomości" on TVP Info.

- Certainly, these pensions will not be low, they will certainly be lower for women, because it is only 38 years of contribution period, but if someone has worked their entire professional life, started working at the age of 18 and paid these contributions, then these pensions will certainly not be at a starvation level. They will not be terribly high, but they will not be starvation-level – he added.

21:50

Duda:

I am surprised by all these hypocrites from Civic Platform, those who urge not to go to the referendum, while on their lips they have catchphrases of the rule of law, constitution

- I am surprised by all these hypocrites from Civic Platform, all those who urge not to go to the referendum, etc., etc. On their lips they have catchphrases of the rule of law, constitution. What are they afraid of? Let them vote against, and let them not retire at 65 at all today. And I hope that those who retire at 65, I hope that all of them retire at 67. They listen to their guru Tusk and retire when they are 67, and women too when they are 67 – said Piotr Duda on the program "Gość Wiadomości" on TVP Info.
