Political Friday Schedule: PiS to Rehash "Tusk's Specifics" Hourly, Morawiecki in Tomaszów Lubelski, Kamiński with Firefighters, Duda Meets Japanese FM, Lewica in Lubuskie, Kosiniak in Lublin

- As we have just reached "Tusk's Specifics," we are suspending the announcement of elements of our program until Saturday. Tomorrow [Friday], from the morning, we will read Tusk's program hourly. We invite you to our social media - PiS informed on Twitter on Thursday evening.

At 9:00 AM, a press conference of Lewica will take place in Gorzów Wielkopolski with the participation of Magdalena Biejat and Anita Kucharska-Dziedzic. Topic: Growing black spots on Poland's transport map.

At 9:10 AM, a press briefing of Polska 2050 will be held in Głuchowo with the participation of Szymon Hołownia and Third Way candidates in the Łódź Voivodeship. Before the press conference, at 8:15 AM, Hołownia will meet with entrepreneurs and trade workers.

At 10:10 AM, a press conference of Lewica will be held in Warsaw with the participation of Krzysztof Gawkowski and Tomasz Trela. Topic: The PiS government has let billions from KPO slip away.

At 11:00 AM, at the Presidential Palace, President Andrzej Duda will meet with Japan's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yoshimasa Hayashi.

Another Lewica press conference will take place at 12:00 PM in Zielona Góra - with Adrian Zandberg participating instead of Magdalena Biejat. Topic: All faces of Sławek Mentzen and his colleagues from Konfederacja. The last press conference will be held at 3:00 PM in Nowa Sól, topic: The government is downplaying illegal toxic waste dumps.

At 1:00 PM, Mariusz Kamiński will be on a visit to the Lublin Voivodeship. The Minister of Interior and Administration will participate in a meeting with officers of the State Fire Service and volunteer firefighters. During the event, the minister will hand over rescue and firefighting vehicles and hydraulic sets to the State Fire Service and volunteer fire brigades.

The President of PSL, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, will be on a visit to the Lublin Voivodeship. At 2:15 PM, a press conference will be held in Kraśnik, and at 4:30 PM - the unveiling of a monument to Wincenty Witos and ceremonial speeches.

At 5:00 PM, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki will meet with residents of the Tomaszów district.

07:29

Morawiecki:

No need to wait until Saturday, we have Tusk's 100 points – they are points of shame
- Donald Tusk announced that he would present his 100 points on Saturday. There is no need to wait that long, we have these points – Tusk's points of shame – says Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in a recording published on social media. - These are one hundred matters, over 90% of which he couldn't or didn't want to resolve. But he did implement a few. A higher retirement age, taking savings from the Open Pension Funds (OFE), raising VAT, making Poland dependent on Russian raw materials, or selling off the Polish state's assets – he lists. - It's better for Tusk to keep his points to himself and his colleagues. They are illusions. The PiS government will best take care of Poles – he concluded.

07:49

Bochenek:

We're Launching a Public Reading of PO's 2011 Program. See How Credible Tusk's Promises Are

On Thursday, PiS announced that it was suspending the campaign to present individual points of its program, which had been ongoing since Monday. Instead, the ruling party will present "Tusk's Specifics."

- Listen, I have something for you today - the 2011 program of Civic Platform and Donald Tusk. Today, we are starting its public reading. See how credible the promises of Donald Tusk and PO are - says Rafał Bochenek in a recording published on social media.

- On page 17, it says: "Salaries in the budgetary sphere, frozen due to the crisis, will begin to rise again." I would like to remind you that the base salary amounts in the state budgetary sphere were frozen by Civic Platform and Donald Tusk until 2015, thus much longer than the crisis lasted - he continued.

- Remember, don't be fooled. Tusk is a lie - summarized the PiS spokesperson, after whom Adam Andruszkiewicz took the floor.

- Another program point of PO - "we will eliminate PIT tax forms," "following the elimination of NIP, we will abolish PIT declarations." Of course, they did not do this. Stop Donald Tusk's lies. Don't be fooled by them - stated the Deputy Minister of Digitalization.

From PiS's announcements, it appears that such recordings will be released every hour.

08:21

Müller:

One element of PO's program will be presented every hour

- These are Donald Tusk's concrete achievements, because he implemented them when he was Prime Minister. Therefore, PO and Donald Tusk should not be ashamed, because these were their flagship projects, they just happened to forget to include them in the program, but in fact, we will show PO's program today and show what it looked like. That's all I can say enigmatically. One element of PO's program will be presented every hour - stated Piotr Müller in an interview with Michał Rachoń on the program #Jedziemy on TVP Info.

08:25

Müller:

The Referendum Harms the Interests of Those Who Wanted to Impose Things Without the Will of the Citizens

- In fact, this referendum harms the interests of those who wanted to impose certain things without the will of the citizens. And we must honestly admit that. If there is a certain political group, as is evident, also friendly with Chancellor Merkel, which champions raising the retirement age, then this referendum hits their interests. If there are groups that want to privatize Polish assets, then it hits the interests of those who want to privatize - stated Piotr Müller on the #Jedziemy program on TVP Info.

08:28

Müller:

Tusk's plan to raise the retirement age existed before his expose. It was his hidden agenda and he still has it today

- Let's remember that Donald Tusk had this plan concerning raising the retirement age even before his expose. Surely, no one is so naive as to claim that suddenly, right after the elections, Donald Tusk had an epiphany and decided to raise the retirement age. It was his hidden agenda, his hidden plan, and he still has this hidden plan today – stated Piotr Müller on the #Jedziemy program on TVP Info.

New Civic Coalition Spot on PiS Migration Policy:

They Scared and Scared, But Let Them In Themselves

The new Civic Coalition (KO) spot focuses on recent reports regarding events at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which the party's politicians describe as an "MSZ affair" (Ministry of Foreign Affairs affair).

- It has come out - the PiS government invited 250,000 immigrants from Asia and Africa to Poland. Their people created a system allowing intermediaries to issue visas for bribes of $5,000 per person. They invited 250,000 immigrants from Asia and Africa, more than France or Germany. The Central Anticorruption Bureau entered the Ministry of Foreign Affairs - says the narrator in the spot published on PO's social media.

- Who else was involved in this affair? They scared and scared, but let them in themselves. After the elections, we will check if they profited from it - it was emphasized.

08:47

Müller:

A Handshake, a Second of Conversation, and They'll Create the Impression on TVN That Tusk and Kołodziejczak Went to Brussels and Sorted It Out. It's a Comedy

- This visit by Mr. Kołodziejczak and Tusk to Brussels is quite a comedy. Meaning, they know something is already going to be introduced and now they're going to take selfies against the backdrop of the European Parliament, or Donald Tusk has some friends there, they'll go into the hall, create the impression that they've sorted something out, take a photo, a handshake, a second of conversation, and create the impression on TVN that Donald Tusk and Kołodziejczak went to Brussels and sorted it out. It's a comedy, for goodness sake - stated Piotr Müller on the TVP Info program #Jedziemy.

08:56

Fogiel on the "Visa Scandal": We Will Certainly Not Protect Anyone or Evade Responsibility
- There is a difference between a committee meeting and staging a political circus [...] I am not categorically saying no [to a special meeting of the Foreign Affairs Committee regarding the "visa scandal"], but today, first and foremost, the relevant authorities must act [...] in a legal and criminal sense, no charges have been brought against anyone, an explanatory proceeding is underway, at least as far as we know, the relevant institutions must act first, and we will certainly not protect anyone or evade responsibility, because if there were irregularities, they must be explained - said Radosław Fogiel in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on the program "Gość Radia ZET". - This, if it is true, is an obvious scandal and someone must bear responsibility for it - he continued, when asked about reports of queues outside the embassy in Africa, where there was allegedly an opportunity to buy stamped visas.

09:07

Wąsik:

If PO Politicians Boycott the Referendum, They Are De Facto Voting 'Yes'
- If they [PO politicians] boycott this referendum, meaning they want it not to have binding power, then they are de facto voting 'yes' in this referendum. This means they will want to have the ability to raise the retirement age, they will want to have the ability to accept forced migrants from Europe, which Germany is proposing to us. So they will also want to do the other things that the referendum concerns – said Maciej Wąsik in an interview with Adrian Klarenbach on PR24.

Fogiel on the Kaczyński-Tusk Debate: Kaczyński Could Likely Only Gain, But the Point Isn't to Give the Competitor Room for Insinuations

- Jarosław Kaczyński could likely only gain from this [debate with Donald Tusk], but the point isn't to give the competitor room, even for the kind of disgraceful insinuations we've just quoted. For us, the conversation in the constituencies, the conversation on the ground, the conversation with Poles, presenting our program is more important [...] Donald Tusk's boss, Manfred Weber, a European, German politician, the leader of the European People's Party, has revealed himself, saying in interviews that he will fight PiS [...] why should we debate with a Polish subcontractor? - Radosław Fogiel said on Radio ZET.

- The role of a party leader, regardless of who they would run with, is somewhat different in elections than that of any other lead candidate. With all due respect to Ms. Okła-Drewnowicz, President Kaczyński has somewhat more important tasks in this campaign than debating with the Platform's lead candidate - he continued.

09:12

Czarzasty:

1.8 Million People Live in Extreme Poverty. Tell Them Not to Raise the Minimum Wage

- 1.8 million people live in extreme poverty. Extreme poverty is something I think you and I rarely see. It's less than PLN 600 per person per month. A month ago, I paid PLN 640 for medication, per month, and I can afford it. Among these people are 350,000 children. Tell those people, from the perspective of a well-paid journalist or politician, not to raise the minimum wage. There were times when people worked for PLN 4 per hour – stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty in the "Morning Interview" on RMF FM.

09:13

Czarzasty:

Neither PO nor PiS have announced their election programs yet – we'll see what happens on Saturday

- Neither Civic Platform nor Law and Justice have announced their election programs yet. I always maintain some distance. They haven't announced their programs; we'll see what happens on Saturday. Secondly, this data concerns the entire program. So, for example, if we announce that within 5 years we should build 300,000 rental apartments, that's 100 billion invested in one election year. We say it would be good if healthcare improved - stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty in the "Morning Conversation" on RMF FM.

09:16

Fogiel:

We Will Maintain the Embargo on Ukrainian Grain, With or Without the EU
- We will maintain the embargo [on Ukrainian grain after September 15th], with the Union or without the Union [...] Ukraine must also be aware that Poland is helping for humanitarian reasons, for reasons of full respect for international law, also because we see our own interest in this, brutally speaking, Ukraine that would be conquered by Russia, defeated by Russia, poses a definite threat to Poland [...] we have said this many times: Poland's interest, the interest of Poles, always comes first - said Radosław Fogiel on Radio ZET. - We can help with the transit of Ukrainian grain, Ukrainian products [...] but we will do so on our own terms - he continued.

09:16

Wąsik:

PO Has a Program - Budka Said There Will Be a New Meme Generator. A Meme Party
- I am working hard in this campaign, I try to travel a lot, wherever my professional duties allow, I travel. I talk to people and I don't see the moods Donald Tusk is talking about. I see enormous support for PiS, I see enormous engagement from people in the campaign, I see fear of the return of people like Tusk. I am convinced that in a month, 5 weeks, people will express this in the elections and all these hootings and shoutings of Tusk will go up in smoke - said Maciej Wąsik in PR24. - They governed, they had no program. They were in opposition, they had no program. Once Grzegorz Schetyna was asked about the greatest success of their government and he thought for a very long time, a very meme-generating press conference. [...] But they announced that there will be a new meme generator. So there is some element of their program. Borys Budka said that there will be a new meme generator. It's a meme party - he continued.

09:20

Czarzasty:

Maciejewska Suspended from New Left Membership Based on Recordings We Received

- Beata Maciejewska has been suspended from her membership in the New Left party, and thus from the ability to run for office, by the party authorities. This is because we received information, myself, Robert Biedroń, Adrian Zandberg, Marcin Kulasek, recordings with the information that there is more. These recordings indicated that we should proactively refer this matter to the prosecutor's office, which we did. It concerned money, among other things - stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty in the "Morning Interview" on RMF FM.

09:25

Grabiec Doesn't Rule Out a Minority Government with Konfederacja:

Sometimes They Have Interesting Ideas.

- We are considering every option. However, there are no plans for a coalition with anyone outside the democratic opposition. This is our basic, foundational scenario – stated Jan Grabiec in an interview with Marcin Fijołek on Polsat News's “Graffiti”.

- I don't know what will happen with Konfederacja after the elections. It is burdened with so many question marks that talking about it is more like fortune-telling than building political scenarios. Allow me to refrain from weaving these scenarios. What is important is that a PiS-Konfederacja alliance does not emerge, because it would be lethal for Poland. Sometimes Konfederacja members have interesting ideas, for instance concerning tax reform, at least in part, because sometimes they are crazy and detached from reality. But if they enter into a coalition with PiS, they will soon be voting for 1500+ because the leader says so. And if they don't, perhaps a government can be formed, even a minority one, that will allow PiS to be removed from the levers of power which are being abused today and are making the elections unfair – he continued.

09:26

Czarzasty on attending the 'Million Hearts March': We asked Tusk to define organizational principles, we are waiting for that meeting

- Donald is the host of this march. I would dream of the Polish opposition standing together and saying in one voice that we will co-govern. We asked Donald Tusk to define the organizational principles, we are waiting for that meeting - stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty in the "Morning Interview" on RMF FM.

09:29

Grabiec on Civic Coalition Convention: "Very Concrete Solutions to Poles' Daily Problems, Implementable Within the First 100 Days"

- [At Saturday's Civic Coalition convention] there will be very concrete solutions to Poles' daily problems, which can be implemented or launched within the first 100 days, or 3 months of governing. This is precisely what we are aiming for – not to discuss grand visions or strategic programs, because after 8 years of PiS rule, after Morawiecki's plan, after the Strategy for Responsible Development, and various other drafted plans like the beautiful-sounding "Apartment Plus," Poles know that these things simply don't get realized, that all those programs intended to last 8 years were a sham. After all, after 4 years, PiS said, 'Give us another four years, and we'll deliver everything we promised 4 years ago.' Eight years have passed, and they're saying it again – 'Give us another 4 years, and we'll deliver what we promised 8 years ago.' You can't operate like that - stated Jan Grabiec on "Graffiti" on Polsat News.

09:29

Dworczyk:

Tusk Lied to Poles, This is Linked to the Lack of Credibility Not Only of Him, but of the Entire Civic Platform
- One doesn't need to say it particularly at this moment; it can be repeated at any time because it is simply the truth. Donald Tusk has repeatedly strayed from the truth. Both in making his promises and in throwing various accusations at his political opponents – said Michał Dworczyk on Radio Wnet. - We will discuss the proposals in more detail shortly at our Saturday meeting in Końskie. However, today we are showing indeed all those, well, not all, because it would be impossible to count, but those many instances where Donald Tusk made promises which he subsequently did not keep. Thus, he lied to Poles; this is also connected with the lack of credibility not only of Donald Tusk but of the entire Civic Platform, to which we are the opposite – he continued.

09:37

Grabiec:

It's Clear This Brawl with Civic Platform Serves to Get to the Elections Without Accounting for What They've Done

- This is unserious on two levels. Firstly, because after 8 years of governing, and with PiS having had an undivided majority, one would expect that before the elections, the ruling party would account for their actions, especially for what didn't work out, because people see and feel what did work. As for what didn't work out, people would like to know why, why there aren't those 100,000 or a million apartments that were supposed to be built, and I think a reckoning is a condition for the sensible functioning of power at all. Instead, we're dealing with a staff game, a tug-of-war. And let's add to that Tusk; in fact, if we looked at PiS's election campaign over the last 4-5 months, this pre-campaign, they mostly talk about Tusk and Civic Platform. They don't talk about themselves, about what they will specifically do - stated Jan Grabiec on Polsat News's "Graffiti".

- In reality, the only concrete programmatic proposals this year have been presented by Donald Tusk. Whether it's the 'babciowe' (grandma's allowance) or the 0% mortgage issue, or solutions concerning the tax system. Only the opposition has been formulating a program for the future, while the ruling party aims to somehow reach the elections. It's evident that this brawl with Civic Platform serves to get to the elections without accounting for what they have done - he added.

09:38

Dworczyk on the Exhumation of Volhynia Victims: "We have a far from satisfactory situation"
- We have a far from satisfactory situation, because we stand by the position, the Polish government, and I think the majority of Polish society, or all of Polish society, that every murdered person, every deceased person deserves a dignified burial, and blocking the possibility of searches, or burials, or exhumations and burials is unacceptable – said Michał Dworczyk on Radio Wnet. - If it weren't for the Ukrainian government, if it weren't for the decisions of the Ukrainian government, the permit for the search for victims would not have been issued for the first time in 8 years, as I said – he added.

09:40

Dworczyk on Non-Partisan Local Government Officials: They are United by the Very Fact of Being Local Officials and Pragmatism
- If you ask what kind of people they are, it's impossible to answer in one sentence because they are very diverse individuals. A large portion of them, we're talking at least about the Lower Silesian Non-Partisan Local Government Officials, are former PO (Civic Platform) activists, but there are very different people there. However, what unites most of them is, of course, the very fact of being local government officials, and secondly, pragmatism – said Michał Dworczyk on Radio Wnet.

Stop.Cafe Brand Enters Another European Market

The gastronomic brand of ORLEN Group – Stop.Cafe – has launched on the Hungarian market. This is the sixth market where this format will be present, following Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany, and Lithuania. 11 outlets have been opened at stations located on the busiest routes, with another 6 to be established by the end of this year. In total, nearly 2,200 Stop.Cafe points are already operating within the ORLEN Group network, with approximately 20% located in foreign markets.

With ORLEN Group's entry into the Hungarian market, the concern is also introducing its gastronomic brand there. This is part of the retail segment development strategy, which involves unifying the European network and increasing non-fuel sales. Currently, 79 ORLEN stations operate in Hungary, and the concern ultimately plans to open 143 facilities in this market. As the network develops, more Stop.Cafe outlets will be consistently opened. ORLEN Group's entry into the Hungarian market was made possible by the merger with LOTOS Group and the exchange of some of its stations for foreign facilities.

"Stop.Cafe is already one of the largest coffee shop chains in Europe, serving almost a million customers every day in 6 countries. We are consistently developing this format, increasing non-fuel sales, but also preparing our network for the changing needs of customers. More and more drivers will be using cars powered by alternative fuels, including electric vehicles. Charging such cars takes longer than refueling with traditional fuels. We want our customers to be able to take advantage of an attractive non-fuel offer and the highest quality service that Stop.Cafe outlets provide during this additional time. The extensive experience we have already gained in several European countries will allow us to build a leading coffee shop chain in Hungary as well, one that will be a market leader in terms of standards and guaranteed customer satisfaction," says Daniel Obajtek, CEO of ORLEN.

The newly opened Stop.Cafe outlets in Hungary are located on the country's major transportation routes – along the M1, M3, and M7 motorways. They offer, among other things, hot dogs, sandwiches, healthy drinks, and coffee. The offer also includes the chain's own brands and Polish products, such as confectionery and juices.

Currently, 2,198 Stop.Cafe outlets operate in Europe, including 426 in foreign markets. Outside of Poland, the largest number of Stop.Cafe points – as many as 342 – operate in the Czech Republic, 48 in Slovakia, and 29 in Lithuania.

The ORLEN Group's strategy until 2030 assumes that the concern's network will comprise 3,500 facilities, 45% of which will be located in foreign markets. The ORLEN Group's European network will also feature over 10,000 alternative fuel charging points. At the end of the second quarter of 2023, the total number of ORLEN filling stations was 3,157, with 1,919 in Poland and 1,238 in foreign markets. Upon finalization of the transaction announced by the concern to purchase 266 stations from the Austrian fuel chain Turmöl, the number of ORLEN stations will amount to 3,423.

Kaczyński is Proposing a Journey into His 50-Year-Old Memories
These meetings, like the one today with entrepreneurs who are still fighting in Głuchów, but also in other places in Poland against this oppressive state, which increasingly resembles the Polish People's Republic (PRL) in all its aspects, were very moving for us and instilled in us a very strong, even stronger desire to quickly change the state's approach to entrepreneurs, to those who generate half of the gross domestic product. I'm talking about small and medium-sized businesses. It's simply unbelievable what we heard today from all those who spoke with us here in Głuchów - stated Szymon Hołownia during a press conference. We are a few weeks before the elections. I don't yet know what foolishness I will hear from those who are capable of promising everyone everything just before their employment contracts are renewed. Suddenly, after 8 years, PiS has concluded that people need to be fed in hospitals. A wonderful idea, brilliant, where were they for 8 years? After 8 years, they noticed that there are housing estates in Poland and that thermal insulation is needed, and perhaps it's difficult for people to climb to the higher floors. Where were they for 8 years? Suddenly, a few weeks before the elections, they will build us a railway. Perhaps they will invent spaceports next, maybe they will even invent a metro in every town of up to 5,000 inhabitants, while a significant part of Poland lacks a railway. Basic bus connections, which they abolished, and when they started projects like PKS+, they did them in such a way that in the last 20 years in Poland, out of 1.2 million kilometers of bus connections, 400,000 remained, but there will be CPK. There will be no history teachers, but there will be the Saxon Palace - he continued. This is truly the PRL. A PRL that cries out to heaven. Debts like in Gierek's time and it will end like in the 1980s under Messner. Instead of public media, Trybuna Ludu on steroids. An attempt to turn the police and uniformed services into all sorts of militias and the People's Polish Army that will follow politicians. Everything centralized, so that there is one central company that the chairman is to manage. This is the PRL. Kaczyński is proposing a journey into his 50-year-old memories. This is the Poland he wants to offer us - he added.

10:53

Hołownia:

We Will Introduce a Moratorium on Raising PIT, CIT, and VAT Throughout the First Term of Democratic Government

- We, at Poland 2050, in the Third Way, say – this must change. It will change immediately after the elections. We will abolish this idiotic pseudo-health contribution introduced by the Polish Deal; it will be paid as it was paid before. It will be deductible from tax. It will be a reasonable tool, a tool for shaping the state. VAT will be paid on invoices that have been paid. We will introduce ZUS holidays, because it is more beneficial for the state to help by not having people pay ZUS for several months than to keep them unemployed. Sick leave for employees will be paid by ZUS from the 1st day, not the 33rd. We will introduce simple taxes, simple and frozen PIT, CIT, and VAT for the entire first term of democratic government - stated Szymon Hołownia during a press conference.

- A moratorium on raising these taxes until at least 2026. Today, the Polish economy, Polish business, need predictability and calm. We need to know the horizon within which we will invest our money. Tax changes that occur at the pace PiS is making them, new taxes and contributions. During PiS's rule, several dozen new burdens, taxes, and contributions, various types of levies, were introduced. People who take out loans for their businesses, who plan a business plan for the next year, years, are unable to keep up today (...). We say, there will be no such increases in order to calm the situation. We must clean up the state, we must recover the money that PiS is currently defrauding on various types of megalomaniacal projects, on various ideological stories - he added.

The Left: PiS Wants to Fool Poles with Their 'Concrete Plans.' The Real Concrete Plans are Two - 857 Days Without the KPO and Soaring Prices
- The first concrete plan that PiS should add to its list, and which we will be updating every week, is the lack of money from the KPO. That's a concrete plan – there's no money from the Recovery Fund […], but instead, there are empty words and banalities that we constantly hear. […] Two years ago, the Left submitted draft laws concerning meals in healthcare, in hospitals, and good meals for children who leave school hungry. Two years in the parliamentary freezer. […] PiS wants to fool Poles with their concrete plans during this campaign. And the concrete plan is – this first one announced today – 857 days without money from the European Union, which is lying on the table - said Krzysztof Gawkowski at a press conference in front of the Chancellery of the Prime Minister.

- There is also a second concrete plan – the PiS government is a government of high prices and inflation. […] The KPO – it was a remedy for high inflation, it was money that could have had an anti-inflationary effect. If this money had been in Poland for these 857 days, we would have a higher investment rate and a lower inflation rate. […] Mr. President Glapiński, how can you so brazenly tell Poles that prices have been lower for 5 months? Do you understand that when inflation is 10 percent, everything is on average 10 percent more expensive? […] You earn daily what a starting teacher earns in a month of hard work – almost 3700 zlotys. […] People who do their shopping every day, and we talk to such people […], say that they used to buy a kilogram of tomatoes, ten eggs, two liters of oil, and today they have to save on that - said Tomasz Trela.

11:26

Trela:

Glapiński is Operating on Kaczyński's Political Leash. Lowering Interest Rates During the Campaign, He'll Raise Them After the Elections
- After yesterday's performance, and the decision from the day before yesterday, we have no doubts – Adam Glapiński is a man operating on Jarosław Kaczyński's political leash and is being harnessed for the election campaign [...]. Inflation is over 10%, and Adam Glapiński is lowering interest rates. Indeed, borrowers might be happy, but we warn – just as Glapiński is lowering rates during the election campaign, so too will Glapiński be raising interest rates after the election campaign has ended – said Tomasz Trela at a press conference in front of the Chancellery of the Prime Minister.

PiS Attacks Tusk with a Memo from a Conversation with Merkel on Retirement Age:

The Era of Calls from Berlin and Moscow Has Ended.

The memo, which journalists recently obtained, a memo from a conversation between Prime Minister Donald Tusk and Chancellor Merkel from March 11, 2011, is scandalous. This is a matter of fact, this memo reveals the behind-the-scenes conversations and relations between the Polish government and the German government, and the nature of Donald Tusk's relationships. During the conversation, which took place in 2011, the Chancellor suggested strengthening Europe's global competitiveness. As stated in this document, it would be advisable, among other things, to link certain socio-economic changes to a given country's retirement age, including its demographic situation – stated Rafał Bochenek at a press briefing.

PO politicians said before the elections [in 2011] that they did not see the need to raise the retirement age. It was after this conversation between Donald Tusk and Chancellor Merkel that, a few months later, they presented a bill that stipulated raising the retirement age to 67, for both women and men – he continued.

This is the difference in policy-making, the policy that was conducted until 2015 and the one that is being conducted now by the Law and Justice (ZP) camp under the leadership of our leader, Prime Minister Kaczyński. The era of calls from Berlin, the era of calls from Moscow has ended. It will not be the case that any politician in Poland will make decisions at the expense of the interests of Polish citizens based on external interests, certain external pressures, because everything indicates that the retirement reform was previously consulted and agreed upon to some extent with a representative of the German government. Poles did not know about this, they were not informed. It was all done behind closed doors, in the privacy of offices, and they found out about it when the bill was submitted to the Sejm and was gallantly passed by PO and also PSL – added the PiS spokesperson.

13:12

Bochenek:

We Appeal for a Substantive, Concrete, Programmatic Conversation. Tomorrow in Końskie, We Will Hold Such a Debate with Poles.

- We appeal for a substantive, concrete, programmatic conversation. Tomorrow, precisely in Końskie, we will hold such a debate with Poles, in effect presenting the results of our months-long work and travels across Poland. The comprehensive PiS program will be presented in Końskie in the Świętokrzyskie region, with the participation of our leader, Jarosław Kaczyński. This will not only summarize the proposals made in recent days but will also introduce new ones - stated Rafał Bochenek at a press briefing.

Bochenek:

Grabiec's Observation of Common Ground Between PO and Confederation Doesn't Surprise Me

The fact that Mr. Grabiec sees common points in the programs of PO and the Confederation doesn't really surprise me. The Confederation directly communicates that the 13th and 14th pensions should be abolished, along with ZUS, KRUS, and likely NFZ, if I recall correctly from the statements of politicians or candidates of that party for parliament. They dislike social programs, they want to abolish public healthcare, introducing vouchers for medical services. This will lead to a state of affairs that PO politicians also desire, meaning a state where you're on your own, we'll sell off everything, we'll abolish everything public, and the weakest will essentially be left to fend for themselves. This is where it's all heading – a state for a narrow group of elites. This is the policy that PO has de facto implemented for years – stated Rafał Bochenek at a press briefing.

Morawiecki:

When Putin invaded Crimea, they were still liquidating military units across Poland
- Our predecessors, in their doctrine, which is already widely discussed in the press, abandoned eastern Poland to its fate, to the enemy. What would have happened to cities like Hrubieszów, Zamość, Chełm, but also Radzyń Podlaski, Białystok, Lublin - all those east of the Vistula? They were to be left to their own devices. This is, of course, an unprecedented scandal, but these were indeed the plans - said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at the 2nd Hrubieszów Reconnaissance Regiment. - We have diametrically changed this doctrine. Our plans are to defend every inch of Polish land, which, together with our NATO allies, will be defended in solidarity, in accordance with the Washington Treaty. But to defend oneself, one must have something to defend oneself with and must be able to defend oneself at least in the initial period of enemy attack. Ukraine has shown this - he continued. - Our government is arming the Polish army precisely to defend Poland, our borders along their entire length. This is the fundamental difference between us and our predecessors. When Putin clearly declared the rebuilding of the entire Soviet empire, the then Prime Minister Donald Tusk wanted and offered cooperation with Russia as it is - the Prime Minister continued. - When Putin invaded Georgia, what did our predecessors do? They laid off employees from armament plants in Huta Stalowa Wola or Bumar-Łabędy in Gliwice, and in many others as well. When Putin invaded Crimea, annexed Crimea and Donbas, what were they doing? They were still liquidating military units across Poland - he emphasized. - This policy can only be called a policy of naivety or a policy of stupidity. But I don't know if we should entrust the fate of a 40-million country into the hands of naive politicians - he stated.

14:18

Morawiecki:

For the First Time in Centuries, Living in the Kremlin's Cold Shadow, the Polish Army Has Something to Defend Itself With
- We are rebuilding our combat capabilities. Everywhere in Poland where it is necessary, we are restoring military units, building new barracks, such as those I saw not so long ago in Siedlce. [...] We are acquiring and producing the most modern equipment in Poland, in order to defend Poland's borders. This has become possible because we have repaired the Polish budget, Polish finances - said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at the 2nd Hrubieszów Reconnaissance Regiment. - 37 billion was the total expenditure on the army in the last year of our predecessors, PO. Next year, we are allocating around 155 billion for armament, for the Polish army. Four times more. How was it possible that their policy of dismantling the army, of the combat capabilities of the Polish army, was possible and unfortunately did not meet with a proper political counter-response from anyone other than PiS? - he asked. - We must be aware of this gigantic difference – chaos and unease, or security and investment in the Polish army. [...] For the first time in centuries, living in the cold shadow of the Kremlin and its threats to Poland – regardless of what that Russia is, whether tsarist, communist, or today's Putinist – for the first time, the Polish army has something to defend itself with and will defend the future of the Republic effectively - he emphasized.

Morawiecki:

Either the European Commission will make further decisions on import bans next Wednesday, or we will extend them ourselves within Poland
The interest of Polish farmers, the interest of Polish agriculture, is our highest priority. We promised to defend Polish agriculture from the flood of Ukrainian grain, and we are keeping our word. We are here in Dołhobyczów at one of the border crossings, together with Minister Robert Telus. We are here to say that we will defend the Polish farmer and their interests, regardless of what they tell us in Brussels, Berlin, or Kyiv - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki during a visit to the border crossing in Dołhobyczów. - When uncontrolled imports into the territory of the Republic of Poland were occurring, we not only demanded immediate action from the European Commission but I clearly stated at the European Council meeting and to the President of the Commission that if they did not act – Poland would implement solutions to prevent the import of grain and agricultural products from Ukraine. This import was destabilizing Polish agricultural markets - he added. - Our political opponents have suddenly woken up. After Minister of Agriculture Robert Telus strongly raised this issue again at the Council of the European Union on Monday, that's why I'm talking about the sequence of events. On Monday this week, you see, suddenly this cabaret of two funny gentlemen, Tusk and his chief traitor of the Polish countryside, went to Brussels, or Strasbourg, and started writing letters. Just to show they are doing something. The bear has simply woken up from its winter sleep. They practically thought nothing about farmers, and suddenly they woke up realizing that September 15th is just around the corner. End your show - he continued. - The interest of the Polish farmer is most important to us, which is why either the European Commission will make further decisions on import bans next Wednesday, or we will extend them ourselves within the Republic of Poland - he concluded.

Kosiniak-Kamysz:

Proposals from Brussels by the PiS Commissioner for Agriculture are Horrendously Stupid and Damaging to Polish Agriculture

- It's worth remembering September, because another anniversary is coming soon. The proposal of Mr. Kaczyński's 'Five', a five against farmers. Remember, dear residents of the countryside, who proposed this 'Five' and who voted for it. We blocked it together with organizations, unions on the streets, but also in the Senate - said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz at a press conference.

- In fact, there is a crisis in every agri-food sector. There is no food security. The proposals coming from Brussels by the PiS Commissioner for Agriculture are horrendously stupid and damaging to Polish agriculture. In the face of war, they want to limit agricultural production both in Poland and in Europe – he added.

15:32

Kosiniak-Kamysz:

Stop Uncontrolled Influx of Food from Ukraine. This Situation Threatens Agricultural Security

- Three guarantees from PSL within the Third Way (TD), within the electoral committee under which PSL is running. Firstly, stopping the uncontrolled influx of grain and other products, including soft fruits, from Ukraine. Stop this situation. Stop the uncontrolled influx of food from Ukraine. We do not agree to the building of a new oligarchy in Ukraine. We do not agree to being treated in such a way that solidarity is not two-way. We give a lot, and on the other hand, there is no such response. This situation threatens agricultural security – said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz at a press conference.

- The second matter is the introduction of the definition of an active farmer. Real farmers today are undervalued, they are kicked in the shins, their legs are tripped. It is getting harder for them day by day (…) Immediate launch of European funds, introduction of the definition of an active farmer. Special support for real agricultural producers and maintaining principles for those who treat agriculture as an additional element, an additional activity – he continued.

- The third thing, the third guarantee from PSL, the third guarantee from TD. No restrictions on agricultural production, on agro-food production here in Poland, or in Europe, no restrictions. No decrease in this production, only an increase (…) The countryside must retain its rural character, this is our very important message – he added.

15:32

Kosiniak-Kamysz:

We Demand an Immediate Convening of the Foreign Affairs Committee. The Dismissal of One Deputy Minister Doesn't Change the Situation
The visa affair, as it can be described. Visa trading, the visa scandal, a large-scale scandal, of which we are only seeing the beginning, the tip of the iceberg. We demand the immediate convening of the Foreign Affairs Committee, explanations from the Minister of Foreign Affairs before this committee, because the dismissal of one deputy minister, one representative of the ruling party, does not change the situation that, as the media report, a frightening situation has occurred – said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz at a press conference.

Tusk on Morawiecki's "Specifics": "What He Hid and Transferred to His Family Will See the Light of Day When We Win"
- Here are Mateusz Morawiecki's real specifics. I'm reading. Treasury bonds worth PLN 4,403,140. A house of approximately 150 sq m. Value: PLN 1.9 million. An apartment of 72.4 sq m worth PLN 1.1 million. A house of 100 sq m, along with outbuildings and land, valued at around PLN 3.5 million. A townhouse worth PLN 1.2 million, which Mateusz Morawiecki co-owns. And an agricultural plot worth PLN 200,000 - said Donald Tusk in a video published on social media, citing the Prime Minister's asset declaration for 2022. - This is merely the tip of the iceberg. What he hid and transferred to his family will see the light of day when we win the elections - declared the Civic Platform leader.

15:47

Morawiecki:

A Resounding "NO" to Ukrainian Oligarchs Threatening Poland's Agricultural Market
We are saying a clear and unequivocal "NO" to all Ukrainian oligarchs who want to destabilize the Polish agricultural market - Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki wrote on Twitter. We say "NO" to the disruption and harm of the Polish agricultural market, consumers, and producers. For the PiS government, the interests of Polish agriculture and Poland's economy are paramount! - emphasized the head of the Polish government.

PiS Continues 'National Reading of Tusk's Specifics' Campaign

17:34

Morawiecki:

They are as democratic as I am short, blond, and curly-haired
- Why are they so afraid, why is Tusk shouting, and frankly, compromising himself, that he will invalidate this referendum? Invalidate the referendum. And that is democratic? No, that is anti-democratic. Why? Because they are afraid of these questions, right? If they weren't afraid, if they had nothing to hide, what would they do? They would invite people to this referendum. But what does someone who has other plans, other intentions do? They try to do everything to make this referendum non-binding, to make it invalid - said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in Tomaszów Lubelski. - Civic Platform is against, The Left is against, TVN is against, PSL and Hołownia are also against. Everyone voted against this supremely democratic move. They are as democratic as I am short, blond, and curly-haired - he continued.

17:39

Morawiecki:

Internal Agitators Are Sometimes Worse Than Various External Inciters
- Internal agitators are sometimes worse than various external inciters, and those who today try to impose a certain tone of discussion through their media advantage are dangerous for Poland. They are trying to deprive us of a significant part of our sovereignty. They want to turn Poland into something like a museum exhibit managed by various Brussels institutions, or perhaps Berlin ones. These are that kind of dangerous people – stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in Tomaszów Lubelski.

17:44

Kamiński:

Russians Could Have Been 20 km From Here. They Failed Thanks to Great International Aid for the Ukrainian Army - Poland's Role Was Crucial

- As the Minister of the Interior responsible for the security of our country, I want to tell you that here, on our eastern borders, the future of Poland, the future of our sovereignty, is being decided. Just over 20 km from here is the border with Ukraine. Several dozen kilometers from here is the border with Belarus. We all remember those terrible scenes from a year ago when Russian tank columns were heading for Kyiv. They were supposed to take it in three days, that was their plan. Their next target was Lviv, to cut Ukraine off from Europe. They could have been 20 km from here if they had managed to implement their scenario, but they did not succeed, thanks to great international aid for the Ukrainian army, and here the role of Poland and the decisions of our government were crucial. The decisions we made mean that today, 20 km from here, there is a safe border - stated Mariusz Kamiński in Tomaszów Lubelski.

17:49

Morawiecki:

Their Navigation Points to Berlin, Brussels, Moscow; Ours Points to Tomaszów Lubelski and Many Other Polish Cities
- Their navigation is set, you know, to which cities? Berlin, Brussels, maybe sometimes Warsaw, Gdańsk. Moscow - someone here is prompting, rightly so, unfortunately, when you look at the film "Reset" and how Tusk embraced Putin on the pier and elsewhere, they also have Moscow in their navigation. And ours is set to Tomaszów Lubelski, Zamość [...] and many other Polish cities - Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said in Tomaszów Lubelski.

17:49

Morawiecki:

October 15th will be the most important elections in 30 years, and then we'll chase away that pest Tusk

- Think about whether you want to give them the right to return to power. October 15th will be the most important elections in 30 years, and then we'll chase away that pest Tusk - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in Tomaszów Lubelski.

17:52

Morawiecki:

We Fixed Public Finances, Because That Budget Was as Full of Holes as Swiss Cheese
- We fixed public finances, because that budget was as full of holes as Swiss cheese during the Civic Platform era. Today, it runs almost like a Swiss watch. There's still something to fix, it can always be better, it can always be sealed up, but it's from there that we got the funds for 500+, soon 800+ for all our children and youth, for the 13th and 14th pensions, for the great program of tax reduction to 12% and a tax-free allowance up to 30,000 zlotys, meaning pensions also tax-free up to 2,500 zlotys per month - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in Tomaszów Lubelski.

18:03

Morawiecki:

Germany is Blocking EU Funds and Reparations; We Will Block PO and Tusk's Return to Power
- These Germans are blocking too much for us here. They are blocking our ports, they are blocking the development of our river routes [...] they are blocking EU funds, they are blocking reparations. [...] the Polish nation is not vengeful, but I think we know how to strike back, and we will probably answer this German blockade with one thing. That we will block the return to power of Civic Platform and Tusk here - said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in Tomaszów Lubelski.

18:03

Morawiecki:

Looking at your faces, I am certain Polish patriotism will triumph

- I am very pleased that we have a great wave of Polish patriotism before us. Looking at your faces, I am certain that Polish patriotism will triumph, that our will to fight, our will to win, our will to strengthen a strong Poland will prevail. Will we win? - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in Tomaszów Lubelski.

18:13

Morawiecki on Tusk: I Threw Down Golden Banking Thrones for Service to Poland, He Threw Down Poland for Brussels Cash

- To Tusk, who is a great pest in Polish politics, one who has been destroying Polish politics, a friend of the Germans. Those Germans who are beating their chests for their mistakes, apologizing for their mistakes in the nightmarish German-Russian gas policy. Let's bid him farewell, or auf wiedersehen, he will probably understand that better – stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in Tomaszów Lubelski.

- Let him go back from where he came. That is the difference between us, between me and him, that I threw down golden banking thrones for service to the state, for Poland, for Poles, and he threw down Poland for Brussels cash and for those Judas silver coins – he added.

19:45

Bielan:

In our internal polls, we're ahead by four percentage points, and I'm convinced we'll maintain that on election day, but this requires 5 weeks of hard work

- Our internal polls are just as good, if not better. [They show] a very large lead. I'm saying this very calmly, with detachment, because we still have 5 weeks until the election and I don't want to discourage any of our supporters or activists from working hard. Because the fact that we have good or very good polls today does not mean we will win the election in that way. We are ahead by four percentage points, and I am convinced that we will be ahead by four percentage points in the election, on election day, but this requires 5 weeks of hard work – stated Adam Bielan in an interview with Marcin Fijołek on Polsat News's "Gość Wydarzeń".

19:47

Bielan on Grabiec's Statement: It Shows the Real Choice Poles Face – It's Tusk or the United Right Government. There is No Third Way.
This statement by Grabiec about the possible cooperation between Civic Platform and Confederation, aligning with what Wipler from Confederation has been saying for many weeks, truly shows the real choice that Poles are facing. It's Tusk or a United Right government. There is no third way, no Confederation that wants to overturn the table. It's either Tusk and everything he did in Poland between 2007-2015, or even worse, or the United Right government - stated Adam Bielan on Polsat News's "Gość Wydarzeń".

Dziemianowicz-Bąk Suffers Accident: Leftist MP Reveals Future of Her Campaign
- Last Saturday, at the end of the election convention in Łódź, I had an accident. The intervention of the emergency services, prompt action, and the professional care of doctors from the Emergency Department and the neurosurgery department of the University Clinical Hospital. WAM in Łódź, where I stayed for several days after the accident, means that today I am slowly recovering and returning to some activities. However, the accident has left its mark - a fracture at the base of my skull, which will take several weeks to heal - Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bąk wrote on Facebook. - These will be the same weeks during which the pre-election campaign is taking place. A campaign in which I planned to meet with you often and extensively on the streets of Gdynia, Słupsk, and the entire electoral district no. 26. […] Many of these plans will surely be realized, but some I may have to change, and some activities will have to be entrusted to the volunteers of my campaign. The doctors' recommendations and warnings are unequivocal - to minimize the risk of re-injury, which could prove fatal for me - the MP continued. - This, of course, does not mean that I intend to give up the electoral fight and campaign activities. I am steadfastly running at the head of the Left list in the Gdynia-Słupsk district, and together with the Pomeranian team of excellent candidates, we will fight for the best possible result and, above all, for the chance to build an efficient, safe, and caring state, free from the fanatics of PiS or Konfederacja - she declared. - In my case, these campaign activities may be slightly different for a while, a bit more modest, and somewhat more mediated by the media than those conducted in the form of direct street contact. […] In the meantime, I ask for your understanding, for you to keep your fingers crossed, and for your good thoughts - she added.

19:55

Bielan:

Our Three Leaders Will Speak Tomorrow

- We are not calling this meeting a convention. It is simply a presentation of our program. A convention is more associated with some kind of big show, balloons, etc. And this will simply be a presentation where our three leaders will speak. Of course, primarily President Kaczyński, as the leader of the United Right, will present the results of the work of several dozen experts and ministers who made a substantive contribution. We already know some of these proposals, as they have been presented sequentially in the media since Monday, and tomorrow we will get to know the entire document. I think Prime Minister [Morawiecki] and Marshal [Witek] will also speak - stated Adam Bielan in Polsat News's "Gosc Wydarzen."

- I wouldn't talk about any breakthrough either. These won't be proposals designed to captivate the media and produce some news. We are primarily focusing on a comprehensive program of change, further changes in Polish reality, because we are a formation that strives to change Poland for the better - he continued.

Barbara Socha, Rival to Michał Kamiński for Senate Seat, Debuts Campaign Video with World Champion Fencer Sons: 'I'm Influencing the Labor Market to Support Parents, Especially Women'

In one of the most interesting races of this campaign, Barbara Socha, the Deputy Minister of Family and Social Policy and rival to the incumbent Deputy Speaker of the Senate, Michał Kamiński, states: "I am a citizen, a woman, and a mother. Now it's time for my victory."

Socha, who before entering government worked for nearly 20 years at IBM Polska as Communications Director, Press Spokesperson, and Director of Industrial Marketing for Central and Eastern Europe, speaks about how she is "influencing the labor market to support parents, especially women."

Michał Kamiński has not yet published a campaign video for this election but is actively developing his YouTube channel.
