Monday's Political Agenda: PiS Program Unveiling, Geriatric Care Bill Signing, Hołownia in Podlasie, and Lewica's "De-Czarnkization" of Schools

The ruling party is organizing a convention on Saturday, but Jarosław Kaczyński in Kielce announced the presentation of individual program points starting today.

- Starting tomorrow [Monday], we will be presenting the PiS program, or rather its important points. The program, as is customary with us, covers a vast range of matters, sometimes even quite detailed ones. Such is the tradition of our party, but there are points worth presenting, worth highlighting, because they are truly significant - said the PiS leader.

At 9:15 AM in Rokiciny, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki will participate in the inauguration of the 2023/2024 school year.

At 10:00 AM in Jawor, Sejm Marshal Elżbieta Witek will participate in the solemn start of the 2023/2024 school year.

At 10:00 AM in Sosnowiec, a presentation of the New Left's Sejm election candidate list will take place, led by New Left co-leader Włodzimierz Czarzasty.

At 10:30 AM in Warsaw, a press conference of Lewica will be held with the participation of Magdalena Biejat, Agata Diduszko-Zyglewska, and Adrian Zandberg. Topic: Time for the de-Czarnkization of schools.

At 11:00 AM in Tomaszów Mazowiecki, a press conference with Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki will take place.
At 11:00 AM in Bydgoszcz, a press conference of Lewica will be held with the participation of Robert Biedroń and Krzysztof Gawkowski. We are registering our list in the Bydgoszcz constituency. We will stop the PiS-Konfederacja coalition.
At 2:00 PM in Warsaw, President Andrzej Duda will sign the bill on special geriatric care.

At 2:00 PM in Białystok, a press briefing by Polska 2050 will be held with the participation of chairman Szymon Hołownia and candidates for the Sejm and Senate. Topic: School in a New Way – Education for the Future. At 5:30 PM, an open meeting of Hołownia with the residents of Augustów will take place.

Morawiecki on the first point of PiS's new program:

No more shabbiness. Only our government will realize such an ambitious project.

As announced by PiS leader Jarosław Kaczyński, today the ruling party began presenting its “new specifics for the next term”.

- Over 8 million Poles live in large panel housing estates […] The whole of Poland should be friendly to people. We don’t want better and worse districts. We want residents of these estates to have the best possible standard of living and housing – says Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in a recording published on the party's social media.

- We didn’t want a division into Poland A and Poland B, and we’ve done a lot here. Now we want the highest possible standard of living for people living in large panel housing estates – the head of government continues, announcing the “Friendly Estate” program.

- Our program must mean a breakthrough for the residents of these estates. Revitalization of thousands of buildings, new thermal insulation, modern elevators, new parks and recreation areas for families – he listed.

- No more shabbiness and doors taped shut with adhesive tape. Only the PiS government will realize such an ambitious project – he concluded, referring to a situation from a few years ago when Rafał Trzaskowski, as a candidate for the mayor of Warsaw, taped shut the door in a room of one of the capital's residents.

Petru Announces Formal Joining of Poland 2050
- Today there is a chance that I will formally [become a member of Poland 2050] - said Ryszard Petru in an interview with Grzegorz Kępka on Polsat News' "Graffiti".

08:14

Gliński:

Kaczyński Signaled Months Ago That Lists Needed Optimization, Including His Own

- Maliciously, I might tell you that PiS is taking Warsaw, but of course, this is the result of our professional work. Jarosław Kaczyński signaled months ago that lists needed optimization, including his own, and he considered running from a place where he could pull in additional mandates. It's ordinary list optimization - stated Piotr Gliński in an interview with Robert Mazurek on RMF FM.

08:16

Gliński:

Voters Will Evaluate Bąkiewicz. He Has Been Doing Social Work for Years, Caring for Refugees

- Voters will also evaluate Robert Bąkiewicz. Bąkiewicz has been doing social work for several years, caring for refugees, for example, from Ukraine. I trust Polish voters, they will also evaluate this candidate - stated Piotr Gliński on RMF FM.

08:19

Petru:

The Third Way Focuses on the Economy, We Would Like to Address it in the Future Government
- I believe that the Third Way has shown that it focuses on the economy, and we would like to address the economy in the future government [...] what I liked about the Third Way, because programmatically it is closest to me, they voted against raising 500+ to 800+, because in Poland a lot of money is wasted, and there are no basic investments in education [...] 60 billion goes to the education subsidy and 60 billion goes to 800+, the question is whether these are the right proportions - said Ryszard Petru in Polsat News. - Details are of course to be discussed, I fully support the idea that [800+] should be exclusively for working people, it's about the direction. So much money cannot be spent, I believe the best formula is to limit it only to those who are not well-off [...] we can develop a common approach. What is important is that a significant portion of the money that currently goes to 800+ should be directed where it is truly needed: education, healthcare, high-quality public services - he continued. - There is no enemy in the opposition, we have different approaches [with Donald Tusk on the 800+ issue] [...] I can say that I have a different opinion on this matter, and therefore the Third Way should focus on the economy, because most parties have not curbed this populist race of 'who will give more' - he went on to say.

08:27

Petru:

I Don't Think Inflation Will Ever Fall to 2.5% During Glapiński's Tenure
- I don't think inflation will ever fall to 2.5% during Glapiński's tenure. There's no chance. This guy doesn't know what he's doing and has led to high inflation in Poland, which he downplayed. Morawiecki is also co-responsible - Ryszard Petru said on Polsat News. - No, no [I wouldn't sign off on removing Adam Glapiński from the NBP], I believe NBP stabilization is important. I disagree with him [Glapiński], but I am against such radical actions that potentially violate the law - he continued.

08:28

Gliński:

I would advise Czaputowicz to take a longer holiday

- Regarding Czaputowicz - speaking from a human or collegial perspective, I would advise some longer holiday, because it is clearly very unfortunate when a person who is a professor and was involved in a very important political undertaking uses arguments that are untrue, as the information Czaputowicz provides about these elections and this referendum is untrue - stated Piotr Gliński on RMF FM.

08:35

Petru on the "Friendly Estate" Program: If it's from the KPO, that's great
- Firstly, if it [the "Friendly Estate" program] were to be funded by the KPO, that would be great. This is precisely the directional idea of the KPO, namely building insulation. If the Prime Minister admits today that he is asking Brussels for KPO funds, by all means, let them implement it. And if not from the KPO, then I have a question for the Prime Minister: where is the money for it, because so far everything has been on credit, why is he saying this at the last moment, why has nothing been mentioned about it for eight years [...] precisely for these types of programs, funds are allocated in the KPO, which Poland, for ideological reasons, does not want to take - said Ryszard Petru on Polsat News.

08:37

Gliński on Czaputowicz's Words: Comparing Poland to Belarus is the Realm of Madmen

- Jacek Czaputowicz's discourse on this subject and the comparison to Belarus is already the realm of madmen. We have a living democracy in Poland, strong, pluralistic media, and a strong opposition. There is no possibility of some dictatorial exploitation of information related to whether someone obtains a card or not, against people who vote, and such comparisons are simply absurd, said Piotr Gliński on RMF FM.

09:04

Gliński:

Tusk is a Rather Frustrated Twitter Hater

- Donald Tusk is currently a rather frustrated Twitter hater who has returned to Poland to continue dividing Poland, to cause trouble here - stated Piotr Gliński on RMF FM.

09:13

Czarnek on First Programmatic Proposal: Billions of Zlotys from the State Budget
These will of course be billions of zlotys from government funds, from national resources, from the state budget. They are necessary in order to truly improve the lives of people, over 8 million people, who live in such panel housing estates, and these are mostly people of senior age or very advanced age – stated Przemysław Czarnek in an interview with Katarzyna Gójska on PR1's "Sygnały dnia". - We know many such cases, including in our families, on the third, fourth floor, or even the second. People who are 80 or 75 years old have trouble going out and do not have elevators. People who are 60 years old and find it increasingly difficult to walk up to the fourth floor in these narrow stairwells, still from the PRL era. This truly requires substantial investment to install elevators in such blocks [...] This friendly housing estate will also allow young families, who also live there, to live in modern conditions, with modern infrastructure, and will enable the insulation of all these blocks that are uninsulated or poorly insulated - he added.

09:15

Czarnek:

All Fourth-Graders Will Receive Laptops as Their Own
The first ones [will receive laptops today]. Generally, this initiative will last throughout September, and most of them will receive these laptops in September, with some still in the following weeks of October. The tender procedures have concluded in this way, so at the beginning of this school year, starting today, and throughout September and October, all fourth-graders will receive laptops as their own – stated Przemysław Czarnek on "Sygnały dnia" PR1. - This is a constant element of the Polish political scene. These people from Tusk's camp, the liberals, the leftists, the far-leftists, they have such an attitude towards the Polish nation. We have repeatedly heard about 500+ – it's for those who are not ashamed of work, who beat their wives, beat their children, and so on. It's just that someone forgot that we have about 5 percent unemployment, and in reality, almost everyone is working. This is how the opposition under the banner of Civic Platform, the Left, or PSL treats ordinary Poles, who hold sovereign power in Poland, and that is why they are losing and will also lose these elections – he added.

09:18

Czarnek on Tusk's Conversation with Merkel in 2011: He Did What She Wanted

- Not only did he propose, but he also pushed through, with the help of Kosiniak-Kamysz and the PSL, the raising of the retirement age. Donald Tusk, as was always the case and remains so to this day, clicked his heels and said: Jawohl frau Merkel, orden muss sein. We will also immediately introduce a higher retirement age. But of course, Poles had to do it dictated by Tusk, who said Jawohl frau Merkel, orden muss sein, saluted, and went and did what Merkel wanted. He always did so, and he will continue to do so in the future, which is why he cannot rule - stated Przemysław Czarnek on "Sygnały dnia" PR1.

09:19

Zandberg Announces: I Will Not Join a Government with Giertych

- I will not join a government that includes Roman Giertych - stated Adrian Zandberg in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on the program 'Gość Radia Zet'.

09:22

Zandberg:

Our Proposal – Shortening Working Time to 35 Hours Per Week
- Poles will benefit from shorter working hours, and Poles deserve it. Our proposal is to gradually shorten working time to 35 hours per week – stated Adrian Zandberg on the program "Gość Radia Zet". - It would be good if Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, instead of dealing with fairytale comparisons, got to work. Under his leadership, child poverty in Poland has started to rise again in recent years, under his leadership, we have hundreds of thousands of people who work and are at risk of poverty, under his leadership, public services are crumbling, and the public sector earns pennies – he added.

09:23

Zandberg:

This Government Must Go, and a New Parliament with a Strong Left Must Be Chosen

- Please spare me from adding more metaphors, like python or bambik. Today, the question is deadly serious: what will Poland look like in a year, two, or three years. The path to a better future, to us starting to pay teachers in Poland properly, for our schools to function more efficiently, is very simple. This government must be bid farewell, and a new parliament with a strong left must be chosen - stated Adrian Zandberg on the program "Gość Radia Zet".

09:28

Biedroń:

Giertych Must Be Isolated, Especially From Polish Schools
- Roman Giertych must be isolated, especially from Polish schools [...] Giertych will certainly not be able to approach matters concerning democracy, human rights, and Polish schools, but Donald Tusk fully bears the responsibility today - said Robert Biedroń on RMF FM. - I cannot imagine [being in government with Roman Giertych] and I hope it never happens that Roman Giertych governs Poland again - he continued.

09:29

Lichocka:

"Friendly Estate" Program to Target Estates Built at Least 30 Years Ago, Based on "Polish Deal" Principles
- This [the "Friendly Estate" program] applies to estates that were built at least 30 years ago and is indeed primarily aimed at large-panel housing estates, because they are undergoing the greatest process of aging and significant investments need to be made there relatively quickly. This will, of course, also concern old estate buildings that lack modern standards, such as elevators [...]. It also concerns thermomodernization, the insulation of these buildings, but also photovoltaics - said Joanna Lichocka in an interview with Beata Michniewicz on "Salon polityczny Trójki" (PR3). - This is a program that will be part of the programs we are introducing as strategic investments under the "Polish Deal." It is formulated in such a way that the partners in these investments are local governments, which carry out these investments and receive co-financing for them - she continued.

09:29

Zandberg:

The Overwhelming Majority of Poles Do Not Want Giertych in Government
I believe that the overwhelming majority of people in Poland do not desire Roman Giertych in government. That's my impression, and social surveys confirm it. For us, this is not a matter we approached cynically; we simply reject nationalism, homophobia, and medieval views. I constantly observe Roman Giertych's statements and see quite clearly what views he holds - stated Adrian Zandberg on the program "Gość Radia Zet".

09:30

Lichocka:

If over 50% of Poles say 'no' to raising the retirement age, even a politician as brazen as Tusk won't dare to do it
- We want Poles to express their opinion on this matter, for the referendum to be valid, so that it no longer occurs to anyone that the retirement age in Poland can be raised - said Joanna Lichocka in "Salon polityczny Trójki" PR3. - When Donald Tusk announces something, he announces it, and then does something else. He is a politician who, especially when it comes to the retirement age of Poles, has lied. He lied in a completely crude, brutal way. And he will certainly do it again. God forbid this team returns to power - she continued. - If over 50% of Poles say 'no' to raising the retirement age, I am sure that even a politician as brazen as the leader of PO will not dare to do it - she stated.

09:38

Lichocka:

The Smear Campaign Against Bąkiewicz is an Attempt to Cover Up That PO's Lists Include Individuals Facing Corruption Charges
- It seems to me that the smear campaign against Mr. Robert Bąkiewicz in particular is an attempt to cover up what names are on the PO's lists. This hysteria directed at this right-wing, national activist – because that is indeed how he should be described – is an attempt to conceal the fact that individuals facing corruption charges are being placed on the PO's lists, or those who are evading Polish justice abroad and evidently need immunity - said Joanna Lichocka in "Salon Polityczny Trójki" on PR3.

09:38

Biedroń:

Where the Rainbow is Brown, There is PiS; Where the Rainbow is Colorful, There is the Left
- We are on the other side of the rainbow, really. [Where] the rainbow is brown, there is PiS; where the rainbow is colorful, there is the Left [...] we have no doubts with whom we want to form a coalition. After these elections, there will be a coalition with Civic Coalition, with Third Way - said Robert Biedroń on RMF FM.

09:48

Lichocka:

PO and Confederation Stem from the Same Post-Communist Roots
- I am cautious about approaching the accusations made [against Bąkiewicz] by the total opposition. Frankly, for me, there is little difference between Confederation and PO. These are groupings from the same post-communist root [...]. Every vote cast for Confederation paves the way for Donald Tusk to government – said Joanna Lichocka in “Salon polityczny Trójki” PR3.

09:50

Biedroń:

Morawiecki Boasts About Minimum Wage Increase, Forgets to Mention EU Obligation to Align with Average Pay
- The minimum wage will already be linked to the average [salary] today. This is what the European directive on minimum wage says, so this will happen by necessity. So when Morawiecki today boasts about increasing the minimum wage, he forgets to add only that it is today an obligation for every member state of the European Union to adjust this minimum wage to the average salary. This is something that we, as Lewica, fought for in the European Parliament [...] one must thank this wise Europe, which PiS is fighting against – said Robert Biedroń on RMF FM.

09:52

Lichocka:

I've long considered Tusk a traitor
- For a long time, since 2010, when I was making films about the Smolensk catastrophe and observing Donald Tusk's behaviour in the context of the Smolensk catastrophe, I have long considered Donald Tusk a traitor - said Joanna Lichocka in "Political Salon of Trójka" PR3.

09:57

Biedroń on 500+: This Type of Benefit Should Be Revalued Twice a Year
- This must be a revaluation [of 500+], a revaluation that is regular [...] this type of benefit should be revalued twice a year, because PiS has led the economy to ruin [...] all social benefits, just like salaries in the public sector, should be revalued twice a year - said Robert Biedroń on RMF FM.

09:59

Lichocka:

I'm convinced Tusk won't dare to talk to Gliński
- Piotr Gliński, as the leader of our list in Warsaw, is right to invite Donald Tusk, the leader of the total opposition in Warsaw, which governs Warsaw – and very badly, by the way – to a debate about Warsaw – said Joanna Lichocka in the 'Political Salon of Trójka' on PR3. - I am convinced that Donald Tusk will not accept this and will not dare to talk to Piotr Gliński, a Warsaw resident for generations – she assessed.

10:09

Kobosko:

Petru's Application to Be Considered This Week

- Liberals, but how different they are, I would say, because until recently it would have been difficult to imagine them in one place, as they were in completely different places. Ryszard Petru resigned from his membership in Nowoczesna on Saturday, submitted the relevant documents, and his application to join our party will be considered this week. I am very happy that Ryszard Petru will join Szymon Hołownia's Poland2050. Artur Dziambor has become a member of the Polish Coalition, he was nominated by PSL. I will say this - I disagreed with many of MP Dziambor's opinions, views, or actions, and I continue to be very critical of them on worldview matters - said Michał Kobosko in an interview with Jacek Prusinowski on Radio Plus.

- I think these are two very significant reinforcements. It was not by chance that we showed, presented these two candidates precisely at our convention in Katowice, to show that the Third Way (TD) is the center, the place where important politicians are joining. Who see in us, in the Third Way, in this alliance of Poland2050 and PSL, a force that is fighting today for the very important third place in this autumn's elections - he continued.

10:10

Kobosko Asked if Tusk Will Be Prime Minister After Election Victory: 'It's Not Automatic'
  • We are working hard to remove PiS from power, to prevent a scenario where PiS joins forces with Konfederacja and together they push us towards a dangerously extreme path for Poland in these dangerous times, so yes, the democratic opposition is ready to cooperate - said Michał Kobosko in Radio Plus's "Sedno Sprawy" (The Core of the Matter).
  • If the election results show that it [Civic Platform] is the largest democratic opposition party, then there is a certain logic to it, but it is not a foregone conclusion. It is not automatic [that Tusk will become Prime Minister after an election victory]; it is not in the constitution, nor in any written or unwritten rules. This would be a subject of our discussions. The staffing of the Prime Minister's position in Poland has varied - he stated.

10:12

Kobosko:

If the scenario of us not crossing the threshold were to come true, Polish democracy has a huge problem
We are convinced that we will overcome the threshold, and the polls we see give us an average of 10 to 11 points today. The real campaign starts today, because today is the start of the school year, today the real campaign begins. Wednesday will be the last day for submitting candidates for list registration, so this campaign kicks off this week. I believe that we will decisively cross the electoral threshold, and by a greater margin than current polls suggest. If this scenario – God forbid – were to come true, that we wouldn't touch, wouldn't cross that threshold, then Polish democracy has a huge problem - said Michał Kobosko on "Sedno Sprawy" on Radio Plus.

10:33

Morawiecki:

We Want Children and Youth to Earn on Par with Western European Countries, and It's Possible
The start of the school year after such a long break, one of the longest you've had so far, is probably quite an experience, I'm convinced of that. You surely have moments of joy, meetings with friends, colleagues, teachers, probably joyful ones, but you also certainly have anxieties, you have your worries, doubts about how this new school year will go. I would like to wish you that this school year be full of joy, full of openness to the world, curiosity, the pursuit of passions, goodness – all those values and ideals which, regardless of their intensity, shape our lives, as well as the life of a nation, the life of a state. For this to happen, for school life to be as fulfilling as possible, it is important to have the right conditions – stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at the inauguration of the school year. - That is why I am glad that here at the school in Rokiciny, but also in many other schools, we can begin this school year after investments in recent years, such as this beautiful investment which, as the director said, can truly be a source of pride for your municipality, but above all, for parents and students – he added. - We are trying to support children in their sporting activities in all possible dimensions. This support for several thousand physical education teachers, which for several years has resulted in extracurricular and holiday activities being richer in offers of various sports disciplines. This also includes the Klub program and support programs for small sports clubs in smaller towns, municipalities, and districts – he continued. - We all know the saying from school, 'Poland, the granary of Europe.' I'm not entirely sure if we should be so pleased with it, because Poland being the granary of Europe meant we exported huge quantities of grain and imported more processed goods from the West. That was not the best way of economic development for us. It kept us at a certain level, it led to the fact that more and more work of a serf peasant was needed to maintain cheap labor and competitiveness – he continued. - We want these children, this youth, to earn on par with Western European countries, rich Western European countries, and this is possible for the first time in history – he concluded.

11:19

The Left on School's "De-Czarnking": "You'll Start This Year Still with Czarnka, But You'll Finish It Without Him"
- We wish you a school that, in the coming months and years, will be a school focused on you, where you will feel not like guests, but like hosts. A school that will guarantee you access to a psychologist, that will give you access to good, modern education, one where there will be space for learning about climate, sex education, your rights in the labor market as employees. Such a school that will bid farewell to Minister Czarnka - this minister who has gone down in the history of Polish education as one of the worst ministers [...]. This minister, a product of the 19th century, standing over you with a ruler, hitting students on the hands for trying to be themselves […], for not wanting to be stamped out from a single mold. [...] [I wish you] a new minister who will understand your needs, the challenges of the 21st century, and will want to implement them together with you and for you - said Magdalena Biejat at a press conference in Warsaw. - As the Left, we propose that religion cease to be cynically and politically abused by the right. For this purpose, it must return to the catechism rooms, so that only those who want to attend religious instruction do so - said Agata Diduszko-Zyglewska. - Students, all those working in schools, teaching children and young people, we have a very simple message, a simple promise: you will start this year still with Minister Czarnka, but you will finish it without him. We therefore ask only for a moment of patience - added Dorota Olko.

11:36

Czarzasty:

We Didn't Have to Invite Anyone to Our Lists at the Last Minute. We Don't Have to Justify Anyone.
- This is a team that is programmatically cohesive. We didn't have to invite anyone to our lists at the last minute. We also don't have to justify anyone; we all have left-wing views. None of us signed any commitment regarding future votes. We know how we vote, and we know how we will vote, because it stems from our program - Włodzimierz Czarzasty said at a press conference.

11:38

Czarzasty:

Today We Will Be Registering Candidate Lists Nationwide
- We collected over 350,000 signatures, and today we will be registering candidate lists nationwide. We are fielding 15 candidates for senator, and we are fielding 920 people in parity, half women, half men [...] We have a work plan, a schedule of meetings until October 13th [...] we will be somewhere in the country every day, tomorrow we start a tour of Wielkopolska - said Włodzimierz Czarzasty at a press conference.

12:04

Morawiecki:

Our Program Aims to Ensure a Dignified Standard and Quality of Life for All Residents in Poland
"Today, statisticians say that at least 8 million people in Poland live in panel blocks, in housing estates like this one, here in Tomaszów Mazowiecki. And the problems of such apartments and residents are perfectly well-known to them. For 35 years myself, I lived either in such a panel block or in a tenement house, which in Wrocław was called a "German-style" building, three apartments per floor, one tiny toilet, under such conditions. It's a bit better in the blocks, and for me, for our family, it was already an advancement back then to move into a panel block in the early 80s. But today, after these 40-50 years, Poles know perfectly well what it's like to live in panel blocks, what the problems are associated with these large housing estates, with these residential areas," stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in Tomaszów Mazowiecki. "In our program, the program of the PiS government, we primarily want to ensure a dignified standard, a dignified quality of life for all residents in Poland. Therefore, we are already preparing, after this concluded term, if the voters decide so, if they agree that we will be able to implement our next program, and the credibility of previous programs through 500+, 13th and 14th pensions, district roads, hospitals, schools, nurseries, we have certainly underscored this credibility, it is our foundation. If such a choice is made on October 15th, we will implement a major program for housing estates built from those concrete panels that were erected in the 70s and 80s, and even a bit later and earlier," he continued. "We need to improve the quality of life in such housing estates. Because it would be a waste, a huge waste, to leave residents to their own problems," the Prime Minister emphasized.

12:08

Borys:

We Want Poland's Economy to Undergo a Swift and Efficient Energy Transition
- We want Poland's economy to undergo a swift and efficient energy transition. This will be one of our priorities in the coming years. The project's aim is to support Poland's energy transformation through investments in projects in the areas of renewable energy sources, district heating, and new technologies - said Paweł Borys, CEO of PFR, during the PFR Green Investment Forum.

12:21

Morawiecki:

The Program for the Next 4 and 8 Years is Complete, Today We Unveil the First Point [7 PROPOSALS]

- In Końskie, we will soon, in a few days, have our PiS convention. But already today, we are unveiling the first point of our grand program, because the program for the next 4 and 8 years is complete. It consists of many points, we will not present all of them. We want to show Poles the most important ones. And among these most important, the first significant point is precisely a huge change for residents living in housing estates, in large panel buildings - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in Tomaszów Mazowiecki.

The first element of the program is to be the construction of elevators.

The second point is garages and parking spaces for residents.

The third point is thermal insulation.

The fourth point is significant investments in infrastructure, various types of installations, i.e., estate revitalization.

The fifth point is photovoltaics.

The sixth point is acoustic renovations.

The seventh point is green architecture, playgrounds, play parks, small squares.

12:26

Morawiecki:

This is money taken from tax criminals and VAT mafias that ruled during the Civic Platform era
  • Our offer, our program is primarily aimed at people, at residents, but it is known that we need to cooperate with local governments, housing cooperatives, and housing communities. These are the three main, so to speak, types of entities with which we want to cooperate very closely. We are already doing this now (...) This program will consist of financing from national, governmental, and budgetary sources – that's the first part. The implementer of this program will be BGK, which has already paved the way in implementing this type of program. We call them strategic investment programs. These are all those programs, dear compatriots, that you see when you travel around Poland, when you drive around Poland, when you walk around our cities and villages, where you see plaques with the white and red flag and the Polish coat of arms. This is money taken from tax criminals, from VAT mafias, which unfortunately ruled undivided during the Civic Platform era in the grey economy and drained funds from the budget - said Mateusz Morawiecki in Tomaszów Mazowiecki.

12:27

Morawiecki:

Liberals Leave People to Their Own Devices. That's PO's Plan, We Don't Abandon People
We have built our finances, we have a plan. Liberals leave people to their own devices. This is PO's plan; we know it from the last 25 years when Balcerowicz ruled, then Tusk, with various shades of liberals in between. Therefore, we do not leave people to their own devices. Hence this magnificent program, a very important program for the residents of large panel buildings, housing estates, and blocks of flats scattered across Poland – said Mateusz Morawiecki in Tomaszów Mazowiecki.

12:28

Morawiecki:

In Our Times, There's Enough for All Goals. Tusk Asked: Where Are Those Buried Funds?

- We want to plan the program for at least 10 years, because we know that it is a multi-year program depending on the funding capabilities. Whether we can continue to govern as PiS, because in our times public finances are in order, there is enough, there is enough for all goals. In the times of our predecessors, we know what Tusk said, where are those buried funds he asked, and Rostowski said, "There is no money and there won't be." Well, all residents across Poland, think now, do you want such a team, "there is no money and there won't be," Donald Tusk, or do you want a team that, as the name implies, rolled up its sleeves and we simply fixed this budget system in the Ministry of Finance - said Mateusz Morawiecki in Tomaszów Mazowiecki.

"The objective of GreenHub PFR is to integrate institutions, local governments, and companies operating in the energy market, in order to jointly strive for the development of the Polish value chain and influence the improvement of the quality of life for Poles," said PFR Vice-President Bartłomiej Pawlak during the PFR Green Investments Forum.

Hołownia:

We Will Abolish Educational Inspectorates and Behavioural Grades, Aiming for 6% of GDP for Education
- Minister Czarnek, who has certainly introduced one thing into Polish schools: the de facto privatization of Polish education and schooling [...] compared to what it was eight years ago, when they started governing, three times as many young people are learning in private high schools, not state ones [...] it was under the PiS government that something we sometimes call the sharing economy entered Polish schools; it became the norm under this government that parents organize collections for toilet paper, for paper for learning, for teaching aids that are essential for learning at school, for repairing doors or windows [...] they, similarly to when they say that if we give 500 [złoty], it will result in a child, think that if they give a laptop, it will result in a computer scientist. It doesn't work like that - said Szymon Hołownia at a press conference. - We will abolish institutions such as educational inspectorates [...] we will transform such institutions into centres for teacher development and support [...] we will abolish behavioural grades, that tool of repression. We will replace them with self-assessment, which the student will prepare in consultation with the school pedagogue, with their form teacher. There will be no more red stripes. On the certificates of Polish students, there will be multi-coloured stripes. One colour for outstanding young artists, another for wonderful, outstanding athletes, another for super environmental activists [...] these stripes will become a true reward and distinction for what you give of yourself - he continued. - We have shown this, by submitting an appropriate bill, that we want education in Poland to be financed from 6% of our GDP - he went on to say.

Duda Signs Geriatric Care Special Needs Act

- The history of preparing this act is very long, as it began in 2017, precisely with a meeting we had at the Presidential Palace with Professor [name] and Minister Marek Balicki. It was then that we discussed it for the first time, and I heard from them about this very urgent, extremely pressing need to create such a special regulation, by virtue of which it would be possible to create a geriatric care network in Poland. It was then that I also saw in black and white the data on how the situation looked at that moment and how it would look in the future. Today, four years after that moment, we can already say that in Poland, there are 2.7 million people aged 75+, which is 7% of citizens, mostly women, and that their numbers will increase. Experts estimate that in 2040, this will be about 14% of citizens, and in 2050, it will be 16.5% of citizens - stated President Andrzej Duda during the ceremony of signing the act on special geriatric care.

- There is no doubt that so far, there has been too little geriatric care, this special, dedicated, specialist care, in Poland. There are only 64 geriatric wards for the entire country. If we divide this by voivodeships, it comes out to only 4 wards per voivodeship. There is no even distribution; in one, the Silesian Voivodeship, there are 10 such wards, but in another, there are only 2. Therefore, it is certainly not a number that would be sufficient to ensure this geriatric care - he added.

- We want to have as many of these centers as possible. We hope that soon, within the framework of the act's functioning, in the first few years, over 300 such centers will be established throughout Poland. They will be coordinated at the voivodeship level but created at the powiat level to ensure the greatest possible accessibility to these centers - he continued.

Hołownia:

Today We Will Most Likely Register Third Way Electoral Lists in Most Districts
- Today we will most likely register, as Third Way, these electoral lists in most districts across the country. This means we will be exercising the privilege of fielding lists throughout Poland, in all 41 districts – said Szymon Hołownia at a press conference.

15:12

Hołownia on PiS Politicians: They Are Simply Liars
- Today they are coming out with Morawiecki and promising absolute revitalization of Polish housing estates, making them look like they've never looked before. And what did you do for eight years? Why, after eight years, are you coming out and promising us that you'll do something about Polish housing estates now? You had eight years to do it, and when you could have done it, you didn't. Only now, when it's no longer possible, you come out and talk about what you're going to do. They are simply liars - said Szymon Hołownia at a press conference.

Błaszczak:

The Polish Army Must Be Strong, and It Is Strong Thanks to Soldiers with Patriotic Attitudes Cultivated in Schools
- The Polish Army must be strong, and it is strong thanks to soldiers who exhibit patriotic attitudes, and these patriotic attitudes are also cultivated in schools. School provides the opportunity to join military academies. You receive additional points. School also offers you the opportunity to join voluntary basic military service, and thus become professional soldiers in the Polish Army, due to your preparation and your skills, basic training is shorter for graduates of military classes. Thank you once again for this decision; it determines the future of our country, it determines the security of our homeland - stated Mariusz Błaszczak during the solemn inauguration of the school year at the General Secondary School named after the Battle of Warsaw 1920 in Urle. - We are aware of what is happening in Europe, we are aware of aggressive Russian policy. Russia's invasion of Ukraine is proof that the rulers of the Kremlin have decided to rebuild the Russian empire. The response to these threats is the strengthening of the Polish Army, so that Poland is not attacked. This is precisely the entire program that we are consistently implementing. The Law and Justice government is implementing it by strengthening the Polish Army in order to deter the aggressor, to prevent intrusion into the borders of the Republic of Poland - he continued. - The basic salary of a private is 4960 zlotys. All those who are under 26 years of age do not pay income tax, so this is also a decision of the Law and Justice government to encourage young people towards independence, but this is the initial salary. If you are ambitious and hardworking, and I believe you are, you can achieve a great deal in the Army. Furthermore, the very fact that modern weaponry is being introduced into the Polish Army also indicates that you will be able to take satisfaction in operating the most modern equipment in the world. This is equipment that comes from the United States, South Korea, and Great Britain. It is produced in cooperation with the Polish defense industry, which creates an additional incentive to draw young people into service in the Polish Army - emphasized the Minister of National Defence.

Obajtek:

ORLEN Group in the TOP5 of companies operating on the Norwegian Continental Shelf
- The ORLEN Group is becoming increasingly stronger on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. As a result of the merger with LOTOS Group and PGNiG, the multi-energy ORLEN Group holds shares in 91 concessions, which, according to Wood Mackenzie, places us in the TOP5 of companies operating there – informed the CEO of Orlen, Daniel Obajtek.

17:10

Obajtek:

In Terms of Oil and Gas Reserves and Production, the Company Ranks Among the Top 10 in Norway
- In terms of oil and gas reserves and production, the company ranks among the top 10 firms operating in Norway. Currently, we are extracting from as many as 18 fields. In the last quarter of 2022, this amounted to 88,000 barrels per day. Gas production for the entire year 2022 reached 3.5 billion cubic meters, states Obajtek. - This is a satisfactory result, but we are not ceasing to develop. We anticipate that by the end of 2030, our own gas production is set to increase from 7.7 billion cubic meters to 12 billion cubic meters, half of which will come precisely from Norway. Simultaneously, the company is actively seeking further investment opportunities and acquisitions of new fields on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. The raw material flows to Poland via the Baltic Pipe gas pipeline, in which ORLEN has reserved capacity until September 30, 2037, allowing for the transmission of approximately 8 billion cubic meters of gas annually, informs Obajtek. - As early as this year, we will be able to utilize as much as 80% of this capacity, meaning 6.5 billion cubic meters of gas will reach Poland via the Baltic Pipe, which will then flow to domestic households, industries, and all other interested entities, states Obajtek.

17:53

Kukiz:

Every Old Political Party in Poland is Bolshevik in Structure
- Every political party in Poland that is in the Sejm, I might be exaggerating a bit, because Konfederacja has a much smaller imprint here, but every one of these old political parties in Poland is Bolshevik in structure - said Paweł Kukiz in a conversation with Beata Lubecka on the program "Gość Radia ZET".

18:05

Kukiz on Referendum Controversies: 'We Have a Bizarre Situation Here, Because PiS Can Be Justified'
- Not entirely [PiS instrumentalized the referendum], because I do see some differences between one and the other referendum [the one called by Bronisław Komorowski]. Of course, the main accusation is that the questions are not consulted with society, because our Constitution is such that parties do not have to consult them with society. Let's not talk about who is cool and who is not cool, who is better, who is prettier, but let's consider what the structure of Polish law is, that politicians from both sides can do this, that politicians from both sides can use the idea of referendums for particular, political benefits - said Paweł Kukiz in Radio ZET. - Here we have a completely bizarre situation, because here Law and Justice can be justified [...] In Poland, the turnout threshold for nationwide referendums is 50%, and this is a prohibitive threshold that, without an event like elections, will never be reached - he continued.

18:16

Kukiz on his foundation's subsidy: Neither I, nor the entire council, nor the presidium, nor the board, receives a single penny
- I can go get my laptop [...] and read out every entity by name and surname, every company, that is receiving money as a subcontractor for providing services to promote the idea, education in the field of direct democracy [...] neither I, nor the entire council, nor the presidium, nor the board of the [Potrafisz Polsko] foundation, nobody receives, and nobody has received since 2015 a single penny from the title of conducting projects, nor strictly charitable activities - said Paweł Kukiz on Radio ZET, when asked what his foundation did with the money it received as a subsidy from the earmarked reserve.

18:25

Kukiz Announces Election-Related Lawsuit Against Zembaczyński
- This will be precisely [the matter of the Potrafisz Polsko foundation] the subject of an election-related dispute with Mr. Zembaczyński, and I am just waiting for the candidate lists to be registered. Because if I were to file, so to speak, a lawsuit against Mr. Zembaczyński in the ordinary procedure right now, I would be waiting for a resolution for 15 years, or maybe five – Paweł Kukiz said on Radio ZET. - In addition, I have already filed a notification of a crime today, in the ordinary procedure, so to speak. [...] It concerns these libels that relate to the smashed window, breaking the window, etc., and the dissemination of false information as well. [...] I have been libelled to the effect that I have something to do with a scandalous matter for me [the attack on Witold Zembaczyński and the destruction of his car] – he continued.

18:36

Siemoniak on His Candidacy in Opole: "They Wanted Me to Appear There. Local Activists Asked Me To."
– We did this by agreement, and of course, I agreed to it. […] This is a matter of many weeks of talks on this subject and a decision that was ultimately made on August 16th at a meeting of the National Council. The argument is that [the Opole constituency] is one and a half times larger than the Wałbrzych constituency, and the head of PO there, PO activists, asked Donald Tusk and asked me to do so. […] I confirm that they indeed wanted me to appear there – said Tomasz Siemoniak in an interview with Grzegorz Sroczyński on RMF FM's "Popołudniowa rozmowa".

18:49

Siemoniak:

Pushing the Third Way Below the Threshold is Not in the Interest of the Opposition or Poland
- It would be extremely irrational to wish for the Third Way not to enter the Sejm, because the future of Poland, who will govern after these elections, may depend on it… Despite various barbs, we differ, these are different parties, I wish them the best - said Tomasz Siemoniak in the "Afternoon Conversation" on RMF FM. - It is not in the interest of the opposition [to push the Third Way below the threshold], it is not in the interest of Poland, it is not in the interest of Civic Coalition. Anyone who tries to think like that is looking very short-sightedly, for some kind of momentary online satisfaction - he stated.

18:58

Siemoniak:

PiS is no longer at 45% in polls, they are within our sights
- The election campaign hasn't truly begun yet. It's September [...], the campaign is starting now and many people will decide to support one of the parties perhaps at the last moment, perhaps after a few weeks - said Tomasz Siemoniak in the "Afternoon Conversation" on RMF FM. - Consequently, we have this starting point as you mentioned, meaning PiS has some lead. PiS is no longer at 45%, but has 35% in these polls, in some even less, so they are absolutely within our sights. It seems to me that the initiative is absolutely on our side - he continued.

19:59

Müller:

We Prefer to Discuss Written Specifics, Real Ones, Not Tusk's Fabricated Stories
We prefer to discuss written specifics, those that are real, not the fabricated stories of Donald Tusk, because Donald Tusk has promised one thing many times and done another. I don't see the need for [leaders' debate]. If we truly want to discuss, let's write down and loudly announce what we want to do - stated Piotr Müller in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on Polsat News's "Gość Wydarzeń".

20:01

Müller on Leaders' Debate: I See No Point. Tusk Will Lie

- I see no point in it, because Donald Tusk will lie there, just as he lied before, so why give a platform to someone who is like that snake, so they can repeat their lies? - stated Piotr Müller in "Gość Wydarzeń" on Polsat News.

20:23

Müller:

If the need arises and inflation doesn't decrease at a satisfactory pace, we are ready to extend the anti-inflation shields.
The matter is not decided, because we are ready, just as the anti-inflation shields were not included in the initial budgets, just as the financial or COVID shields were not included, because COVID broke out during the year. We are ready to amend these solutions if the need arises and inflation doesn't decrease at a satisfactory pace, then we are ready to extend these shields, but we hope that inflation will fall nonetheless - stated Piotr Müller in "Gość Wydarzeń" on Polsat News.

20:25

Müller Asked If There's Room for Interest Rate Cuts: "Probably So in the Near Future"

- In the near future, probably so [there is room for an interest rate cut of 25 basis points]. Will it be this month? It's still hard to say - stated Piotr Müller in "Gość Wydarzeń" on Polsat News.

20:32

Czarnek:

Trzaskowski's Warsaw Isn't All of Poland, Fortunately

- In Warsaw, things have been upside down for a long time. Fortunately, Trzaskowski's Warsaw isn't all of Poland, thank God. Across the whole of Poland, we are seeing significantly fewer vacancies than last year, with 1600 fewer applications, and overall full-time vacancies, as of Saturday, there are over 2100, concerning subject teachers – stated Przemysław Czarnek on the program “Gość Wiadomości” on TVP Info.

20:38

Czarzasty:

No one on the United Left's lists needs to be asked to declare their future voting intentions
- I think the United Left's lists are unique in that, firstly, the United Left doesn't have to explain itself. [...] And secondly, there is no one on the United Left's lists whom I, or Mr. Zandberg, or Mr. Biedroń would have to ask to make a written declaration regarding future votes – said Włodzimierz Czarzasty on the TVN24 program „Fakty po faktach”.

20:39

Czarnek:

Germany Praises Our Schools in Superlatives, But ZNP, TVN, and WP Don't Care

- The German newspaper 'Die Welt' is writing about this, apparently, which, amidst the successes of the Polish economy, sees these successes precisely in the very good education of Polish children. Even the Germans notice this, they emphasize that things are good in our schools. Indeed, they write in superlatives, but for ZNP, TVN, and WP, it doesn't matter. All that matters is Tusk's victory, and Tusk will not win because he kept Polish schools in poverty, did not invest in Polish schools, in the upbringing of children - stated Przemysław Czarnek on the program 'Gość Wiadomości' on TVP Info.

20:43

Czarnek:

You Wouldn't Be Afraid If You Were Tusk or Kosiniak-Kamysz and Introduced an Increased Retirement Age Under Merkel and Germany's Dictate

- You wouldn't be afraid if you were Tusk or Kosiniak-Kamysz and introduced an increased retirement age to 67 under Merkel and Germany's dictate? And now, after posing referendum questions, Tusk says it was doubly negative, that they lost the election and the retirement age was lowered - stated Przemysław Czarnek on the program "Gość Wiadomości" (Guest of the News) on TVP Info.

20:49

Czarzasty:

If a Confederation-PiS government is formed, then we will truly learn what a bad government means
- Mr. Bąkiewicz is a truly bad figure in Polish politics. What does that mean? It means that PiS is somehow looking for ideological relations with the Confederation, I'm saying this very seriously. Because I think Poles don't know what a bad government means, despite 8 years of PiS rule. Because if a government created by the Confederation and PiS comes into being, then we will truly learn – said Włodzimierz Czarzasty on TVN24's program "Fakty po faktach".

20:53

Czarzasty:

PiS is Nominating the Worst People. To Bąkiewicz, a Highly Nationalist Political Creature, We Must Add the Creature of Polish Business – Mejza
- Mr. Suski, who is the leader of the PiS list in Radom – where Mr. Bąkiewicz will be running – said that he is a calm, cultured, young man who is very patriotic. I want to tell you, Mr. Suski, something: this kind of patriotism, as you imagine it through Mr. Bąkiewicz’s conduct and actions, is a patriotism that Poland absolutely does not need – stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty on the TVN24 program “Fakty po faktach”. - It is good that such people are on the lists. Because you know what? If someone still had any doubt whether this PiS is bad or good, they now know that they are creating the worst possible lists. They are taking the worst people, because to that Bąkiewicz – a creature, I will honestly say, a very nationalist political creature – you should also add the creature of Polish business, that is, Mejza – he continued. - This is a mixture of Bąkiewicz with Mejza, for God’s sake, the worst mixture there can be, and it is signed by President Kaczyński. It is registered, these people will get into parliament – he continued.

20:56

Czarzasty:

No Other Left-Wing Political Structure in Poland Clearly and Precisely Fights for a Secular State
- There is such a structure, there is such a party, there is such a formation, which deals with both social issues, which PiS addresses – in my opinion, ineptly, that's another discussion – and worldview issues. […] Let's start with this – there is no other political structure, when it comes to the left in Poland, that clearly and precisely fights for a secular state, there isn't – said Włodzimierz Czarzasty on TVN24's 'Fakty po faktach' program.
