This is a mess, we would effectively have to leave the EU.

Today, Prime Minister Donald Tusk, Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, and Deputy Minister of National Defence Cezary Tomczyk will participate in open tests of unmanned weapon systems at the training ground of the Military Institute of Armament Technology in Zielonka.
Drones, anti-drone systems, and autonomous solutions that are crucial for the security of the modern battlefield will be demonstrated. A fragment of the combat use of the SAN anti-drone system will be shown, including the so-called "Monster from Tarnów" and the SA35 system with a 35 mm effector.
A briefing with the participation of the head of government is scheduled for 9:00 AM. The tests will commence at 9:20 AM. Prime Minister Donald Tusk's statement to the media is foreseen for 10:00 AM. An address by the Minister of National Defence is also planned.
At 10:00 AM, a press conference will be held in front of the Ministry of National Defence by PiS MPs Janusz Kowalski and Bartosz Kownacki, and PiS deputy spokesperson Mateusz Kurzejewski.

Żukowska on Hennig-Kloska:
I Understand She Will Be an Informal Leader.
- The meeting of party leaders was supposed to take place when the National Security Council (RBN) was in session. It was extended, so it was cancelled and postponed to another date. Now, it’s not very clear with whom to meet. It's true [we need to meet with both ladies], but Ms. Hennig-Kloska has not founded a political party, nor is she the head of a parliamentary club. Well, she will be such an informal leader, I understand, and I think such a meeting will take place - stated Anna-Maria Żukowska in “Piasecki’s Conversation” on TVN24.
07:48
Żukowska on Pełczyńska-Nałęcz's words:
Tusk is in trouble, I pity him.
- [Donald Tusk] is certainly in trouble [after Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz's words about withdrawing recommendations for ministers who left]. I pity him very much. As far as I remember, the Prime Minister's idea during this reconstruction was also to depoliticize, at least part of the government, for example the Ministry of Health, and it seems to me that if he wanted to be consistent, he would not engage in whether he had a recommendation, had a recommendation, will have a recommendation, but would assess the work of a specific minister or deputy minister and hold them accountable for their results - stated Anna-Maria Żukowska in "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" on TVN24.
07:48
Żukowska:
We Need to Push Things Through, Not Get Bogged Down in Personnel Matters Again
- Frankly speaking, I don't know if it wouldn't be better if it stayed as it is. Because if we start getting into personnel matters, into discussions again, I'll remind you how long that government reconstruction took. It was supposed to be two weeks, it lasted 3 months, 4? So this is probably not a good moment, we are halfway through the term, we simply need to push things through so they come out of the government, go to the Sejm, get voted on, and not get bogged down in personnel matters again - stated Anna-Maria Żukowska on TVN24's "Piasecki's Conversation".
07:51
Żukowska on a Minority Government:
I Don't Find It Likely.
- I don't feel that threat [of losing the majority and a minority government]. I don't find it likely, and I don't know if it won't happen. Simply, at this moment, I assess that the risk is small, because where would these people go, from what platform would they run in the future, from which list, since they also don't have a party. It seems to me that it's rather unlikely to happen, that they would join the opposition - stated Anna-Maria Żukowska in 'Piasecki's Conversation' on TVN24.
08:13
- I do not have that perspective - Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz said in an interview with Marcin Zaborski on the 'Gość Radia ZET' program, when asked why her former party colleagues hate her.
- On this matter, where we agree on many things, I have a different view - she continued, when pressed about Szymon Hołownia's diagnosis (Hołownia said on February 18: "It is hatred towards the chairperson elected in democratic elections [...] that led to today's division.").
- There were democratic elections [...] everyone declared that they would accept the elections, and when it turned out that the result was not what they expected, they did not bear the responsibility for democracy - she further stated.
08:22
Pełczyńska-Nałęcz:
The Split in Poland 2050 is a Falsehood. I'm Not Registering Practically Any Departures
- I hear in the media that there is a split in Poland 2050. That is not true. Yesterday I had a meeting with members of our party, nearly 400 people were gathered on Zoom spontaneously [...] and today I am not registering practically any departures - said Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz on Radio ZET.
- 99% of Poland 2050 members are staying in Poland 2050 - she continued.
08:26
Pełczyńska-Nałęcz:
It's Undeniable, All Ministers from PL2050 Remain in Government. Those Who Left the Caucus Should Speak with the Prime Minister
- We will not nominate [a new candidate for Minister of the Environment], we also see that some MPs have left, and the coalition must maintain its entirety [...] there is absolutely no question of any minister, any female minister from Poland 2050 leaving the government today - said Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz on Radio ZET.
- But this does not mean that we are replacing them, because let them go to Prime Minister Tusk now and talk with him - she continued, when asked about Poland 2050 withdrawing recommendations for ministers and deputy ministers who had left the party.
- With ironclad consistency, we want all of them, and this is as if unquestionable, all our ministers and deputy ministers who are in Poland 2050, to remain in the government - she went on to say.
08:33
Pełczyńska-Nałęcz on the Deputy Prime Minister for Poland 2050:
I'd Like to End This Soap Opera Now.
"Honestly, I'd like to end this soap opera about the Deputy Prime Minister for Poland 2050. [...] An commitment was made that every party that signed the coalition agreement will receive a Deputy Prime Minister," said Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz on Radio ZET.
"We agreed to a Deputy Prime Minister for Civic Platform, that happened, and now for months there's been some kind of epic saga regarding this commitment [...] a promise was made many months ago," she continued.
08:38
Pełczyńska-Nałęcz:
The New Club is Not a Signatory to Any Agreement, and No Commitments Have Been Made Towards It
- Let the new club talk with the Prime Minister. It is not a signatory to any agreement, and no commitments have been made towards this club. If any new commitments were to be made, all coalition partners who are signatories to the coalition agreement – Poland 2050, The Left, PSL, and Civic Coalition – would have to make a joint decision – said Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz on Radio ZET.
- There has been no such conversation at all; no one has asked for it yet, nor has it taken place – she continued, when asked if Poland 2050 would agree to the Centre having a Deputy Prime Minister.
08:44
Pełczyńska-Nałęcz Rules Out Governing with PiS:
My Commitment is to the Voters of the October 15 Coalition.
- Very clearly, I am not interested - stated Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz on Radio ZET, when asked, "can you firmly, clearly, and decisively say: I am not interested in offers from PiS regarding a joint government".
- No - she continued, when pressed if anyone had made such an offer to her.
- I hear various whispers and rumors [...]. The commitment of Poland 2050 and my personal commitment is to the voters of the October 15 coalition. We are in this coalition, but not as yes-men, but as those who have a distinct agenda - she added.
08:46
- I understand the anger. However, in politics, we are concerned with governing the country; we are participants in the governing coalition. Truly negative emotions need to be set aside, and a professional attitude adopted, because thanks to this velvet - as I call it - divorce, we can regain professional space for work and focus on the most important matters - said Paulina Hennig-Kloska in an interview with Agata Kondzińska on PR1's "Sygnały dnia" (Signals of the Day).
- I am convinced that this move will serve to calmly focus on continuing to build a majority for the current governing coalition. This is the most important thing, because it is the Poles who sent us to parliament to deal with their matters - she continued.
08:49
Hennig-Kloska Responds to Hołownia:
He Was the First to Make a Decision That Left Many Feeling Betrayed.
- I would like to remind Mr. Speaker Hołownia that he was the first to decide to withdraw from professional and political life to the extent he had been involved previously. He was the first to decide that he would not run for the leadership of Polska 2050. And at that point, many people also felt betrayed - said Paulina Hennig-Kloska on "Sygnały dnia" (Signals of the Day) on PR1, referring to Szymon Hołownia's words from yesterday, in which he stated that he felt “betrayed.”
We quoted them here: https://300polityka.pl/pl/live/2026-02-18/holownia-hennig-kloska-to-dla-mnie-najwieksze-rozczarowanie.
- Let's dispense with these kinds of words. If the Speaker made such a decision, I and my colleagues also had the right to choose our own path. Because it was he who brought us together in this movement, not Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz - stated Hennig-Kloska.
- However, putting everything else aside, I certainly thank Mr. Speaker very sincerely for the opportunity to work together for 5 years. It was a very valuable period in my professional life, and I will want to take away primarily pleasant memories from it - she added.
09:04
Hennig-Kloska on the Reasons for Leaving Poland 2050:
The Hate That Has Been Pouring Out on Internal Groups for Three Weeks.
- I gave many proofs of respecting that verdict [the election in Poland 2050]. I went to a press conference held by Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz, where the Marshal [Szymon Hołownia] wasn't even present. I congratulated her, joined her board, and wanted to work there. However, I said that, above all, we would see how much space for cooperation she would create - Paulina Hennig-Kloska said on “Sygnały dnia” PR1.
- Meanwhile, for the past three weeks, the reality we have faced has been hate, which has been pouring out on my colleagues and me, and on the people who supported me during the campaign, within our internal groups. This is the first Sejm session in my 10 years of parliamentarism without a parliamentary club […] where we could discuss important decisions - she continued.
- It’s impossible to work like this. A four-day, long session. The chairman was out in the media, talking to journalists, but didn't find time to meet with his MPs to discuss the most important matters for which they are there, namely bills, decisions, and votes - she described.
09:10
Hennig-Kloska on Pełczyńska-Nałęcz:
She Speaks with Increasing Contempt About Liberal-Minded Individuals.
- The cup of bitterness has overflowed, we've hit a wall when the club was deprived of its agency. I understand this style of governance, but I do not share it. I don't want to work like this. For me and for many of my colleagues, it was unacceptable. But as I said, these reasons – you've been able to read about them for many weeks – for our parting are very numerous - said Paulina Hennig-Kloska in “Sygnały dnia” on PR1.
- These include programmatic differences. The minister speaks with increasing contempt about liberal-minded individuals in public appearances, and our community consists precisely of such people. So, we essentially saw no space for further activity there - she pointed out.
- This led us to a wall. All these elements that have been building up over these three weeks made us decide that in this way we are able to regain space for work - she added.
09:13
Hennig-Kloska:
Pełczyńska-Nałęcz Holds Far-Left Views
- If we look at the views of Ms. Minister [Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz], they are far-left, especially when it comes to economic issues - said Paulina Hennig-Kloska on PR1's "Sygnały dnia" (Signals of the Day).
- But setting that aside – I wish my colleagues success, of course. I am very happy that they have new members. The political scene is large. We will all fit on it - she stated.
09:16
- I generally also thank you very much for all the warm words directed at us yesterday. Many people are declaring their willingness to support our actions and cooperate. We will be creating, next week we will undertake the registration of an association. We will discuss this today - said Paulina Hennig-Kloska in PR1's "Sygnały dnia" (Signals of the Day).
- A party too, but that is usually a longer process in Polish courts. The party will certainly also be registered - she announced.
09:48
Hennig-Kloska:
We agreed on further talks with the Prime Minister
- I informed the Prime Minister before the conference, because naturally, the Prime Minister cannot learn about our actions on such matters from the media. I also conveyed to the Prime Minister that we are, and of course remain, a strong and stable pillar of the coalition - said Paulina Hennig-Kloska in "Sygnały dnia" on PR1.
- We agreed on further talks on this matter [the coalition agreement], but please give us time to arrange our calendars - she added.
09:54
Hennig-Kloska:
We want to create an electoral bloc centered around the Center. There are various entities already willing to discuss this with us.
- First and foremost, we want to create a Center. This is a space for people with centrist, non-extreme, liberal views, with a dimension of seeing the human being in all of this – which is important to me. And we want to create an electoral bloc precisely centered around this. There are various entities that are already willing to discuss this with us and see potential for such a group as a bloc - said Paulina Hennig-Kloska in "Sygnały dnia" PR1.
- If we have anything to say in this regard, we will naturally invite you to further press conferences - she added.
09:58
Hennig-Kloska Remains Calm About Her Ministerial Post:
I Know Nothing of It.
"I spoke with the Prime Minister about this for a moment, and I know nothing of anything changing in the Ministry of Climate and Environment," Paulina Hennig-Kloska stated on PR1's "Sygnały dnia" when asked if she could say she was calm about her role as Minister of Climate and Environment.

Tusk Appeals to 'Everyone Who Has Something to Decide':
There is no moment to spare.
- It is no coincidence that this demonstration of our capabilities is taking place at the Military Institute of Armament Technology. It is about combining financial capabilities, gigantic ones if everything goes well to the very end with the SAFE program, technical and scientific capabilities, the Polish economy, Polish companies, and of course the ability of our army to utilize this potential, and this quadrilateral will ensure our security. The international situation demands it - stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk during the Open Tests of Unmanned Weapon Systems.
- I don't need to convince anyone how uncertain the geopolitical situation has become, both in the region and globally. Therefore, these preparations are no longer a demonstration, they are not an abstraction, they are preparation for a situation where our country may have to utilize all these capabilities - he continued.
As the head of government emphasized: - That is why I have made such a heartfelt appeal and I will repeat this appeal to everyone in Poland who has anything to say, who has something to decide, not to waste a single hour or a single day, because the need is here and now, immediately, to fully utilize the great potential we have built together – financial, economic, scientific, and military – a potential that distinguishes Poland today across the entire continent, because indeed there is no moment to spare.
10:18
Tusk on the Year of Acceleration:
Not Just a Justified Sense of Security, but Also the Acceleration of the Entire Economy.
- When we talk about a year of acceleration, we are also talking about these gigantic resources that are meant to provide not only this justified sense of security, but also the acceleration of the entire Polish economy - said Prime Minister Donald Tusk during the Open Tests of Unmanned Weapon Systems.
10:21
Tusk:
Poland is Leaving the Ottawa Convention Right Now
- I wanted to inform you that Poland is leaving the Ottawa Convention right now. You have seen a brief presentation of the Bluszcz system's capabilities. We are in the process of finalizing a crucial project for our security, for the security of our border territory: a mining project. Tarcza Wschód (Eastern Shield) also represents the capability we will soon achieve, to mine the Polish border in case of a threat within 48 hours. I don't need to tell you what a leap this is, technologically, but above all, what a leap it is towards a secure future - stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk during the Open Tests of Unmanned Weapon Systems.
10:23
Tusk Calls for Departure from Iran:
The Possibility of a Hot Conflict is Very Real.
- Please leave immediately, all of you who are still in Iran, leave Iran and in no case travel to that country. I don't want to scare anyone here with some possible development of events, but we all know what I'm talking about, the possibility of a hot conflict is very real and in a few, a dozen, a few dozen hours, the possibility of evacuation will no longer be an option - stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk during the Open Tests of Unmanned Weapon Systems.
10:30
- SAFE means safe, and this is not just a play on words. So, our urgent appeal – let no one in Poland even think of blocking the SAFE program, because it will mean striking at the very heart of our programs, the programs of Polish security. Therefore, this is an appeal stemming from a genuine, deep-seated need. There is no room here for any politics, party-related matters, or any conflicts. This is truly about Polish security – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk during the Open Tests of Unmanned Weapon Systems.
10:36
- If you don't know what it's about, it's obviously about money. In our opinion, the opinion of Law and Justice, when there's talk of an attempt to spend 200 billion zlotys, this list, the SAFE list, should have been public from the very beginning, especially since foreign ambassadors know it, officials from the European Commission know it, but the Polish public does not know it - said Janusz Kowalski at a press conference.
- Why? That is precisely why we are asking these questions today to the Minister of National Defence, about the company Polska Amunicja, headed by a crony of Donald Tusk and Cezary Tomczyk, and a simple question: is this crony named Paweł Poncyljusz the only one there, or perhaps are there more Poncyljusz-like figures on this classified SAFE list? - he continued.
- How many Poncyljusz-like individuals are there? How many people from Civic Platform are there? Which companies will receive gigantic billions of zlotys, companies that do not have factories, do not have production capabilities? That is precisely why, in my assessment and in our assessment, they have classified this list - he went on to say.
- In my opinion, this is an attempt at a 'grab for cash'. In my opinion, this is an attempt at gigantic, systemic theft carried out by people from Civic Coalition - he added.
- We will inquire about every zloty that is to be spent from the Polish budget or from borrowed funds, because this money must be respected - he emphasized.
11:10
Morawiecki on Czarzasty:
Those who have something to hide should simply leave.
- One heartbeat. That's how close Marshal Czarzasty is to the presidency. Are we truly taking on the risk of a man with such strong Russian ties taking the helm of the state ship? - asks the narrator in a spot published by Mateusz Morawiecki.
- The government is of course silent on this matter, but we will not allow this topic to be hushed up. The security of the Polish state is not a game. Only vetted individuals should have access to top-secret information. And those who have something to hide should simply leave - we hear in the recording.

Przydacz on F-35 for Germany:
Many Might Ask Why Our Neighbors Plan to Buy American Equipment, Not European.
"The F-35 is good equipment. American. In the context of the SAFE discussion and the arguments used by pro-German forces in Poland, many might ask why our neighbors plan to buy American equipment, not European, but probably no one will ask," wrote Marcin Przydacz on X.
F-35 to dobry sprzęt.

13:33
Kaczyński on Who He Would Consider for a Post-Election Coalition:
With the Remaining Confederations.
- With the remaining Confederations, because there are essentially three Confederations at the moment, although two operate jointly, at least in principle, together - said Jarosław Kaczyński on Radio Maryja, when asked about his words that "there is no question of any alliances with Braun's party" and about who he would consider for a coalition after the next elections.
13:41
Kaczyński:
Braun's Formation's Activities Exceed All Limits of What is Permissible in the Civilized World
- Regarding the activities of Mr. Braun's formation, they exceed all limits of what is permissible, one might say, in the civilized world – Jarosław Kaczyński stated on Radio Maryja.
- This is a formation that is, of course, directly pro-Russian, which under today's conditions completely excludes it from normal public life, and furthermore, considering what strange people, and that's a very mild description, [...] are being drawn in, one simply could not govern with such a formation, it would be one, great, terrible embarrassment – he continued.
- Not to mention that we would be internationally isolated, which is also important, one must also reckon with that – he went on to say.
13:51
Kaczyński Announces PiS Candidate for Prime Minister:
The Choice Has Already Been Made.
- This choice has already been made. I think that in March this matter will be completely clear - stated Jarosław Kaczyński on Radio Maryja.
- I want to present him, of course, at some large party gathering – announced the PiS leader.
13:52
- I don't think so - Jarosław Kaczyński stated on Radio Maryja when asked if the split within Poland 2050 could lead to the collapse of the governing coalition and early elections in the near future.
- Please remember that this entire coalition is held together by a very strong dislike, to put it mildly, of Law and Justice - he continued.
13:55
Kaczyński:
The Principle of Buying in Europe Also Hurts Polish Arms Production
- This principle of buying in Europe, of course, it's limited by certain percentages, works against Polish arms production, contrary to what the proponents of this [SAFE] program say - Jarosław Kaczyński stated on Radio Maryja.
- We must remember that, apart from certain rare types of weapons, all others are to a large extent composed of parts that are, to a very large extent, built and produced somewhere outside of Europe, outside of the European Union - he continued.
13:59
Kaczyński on SAFE:
This Loan Simply Cannot Be Accepted.
- The biggest unknown is whether, in the event of a change of government, they would even recognize that the situation in Poland allows for the implementation of the loan, and we would have to repay it - Jarosław Kaczyński said on Radio Maryja.
- This is something that completely binds us, as if, when it comes to decisions relating not to specific power, the power of a specific government or a specific president, but simply to society - he continued.
- Therefore, this loan simply cannot be accepted, because it is another restriction, a very far-reaching one, on our sovereignty, and at the same time very harmful from the point of view of implementing the program of preparing the Polish Army for the defense of our borders - he went on to say.
14:04
61 senators voted "for" the adoption, with amendments, of the act on the Financial Instrument for Increasing Security SAFE. In practice, this means the proposal will now return to the Sejm, which will address the mentioned amendments.

Tusk Publishes Training Ground Footage:
This is all happening here in Poland, thanks to SAFE.
- This isn't Call of Duty. This is a training ground in Zielonka, near Warsaw. See for yourselves what's happening above our heads. This is what the most modern defensive equipment we produce in Poland looks like. Harpy kamikaze drones, DragonFly, or the Wizjer BSP reconnaissance drones - said Prime Minister Donald Tusk in a recording published on X.
- The drones are supported by artificial intelligence, the most advanced techniques in the world, and this is all happening here in Poland, in our cities and factories, thanks to SAFE - he continued.

Tusk announces more vetos from Nawrocki:
This is not a president for Polish affairs.
- More vetos are being prepared. Just blindly, in order to cause harm. This is not a president for Polish affairs. - wrote Prime Minister Donald Tusk on social media.
Szykują się kolejne weta. Tak na ślepo, byle zaszkodzić. To nie jest prezydent polskich spraw.

- As the President of the Republic, I have a duty to uphold the Constitution and look after the interests of citizens. The act on the National Council of the Judiciary does not fulfill this purpose; on the contrary, it contradicts it. Therefore, I have decided to veto it - said President Karol Nawrocki in a statement.
- I cannot sign a law that, under the guise of restoring the rule of law, actually introduces a new stage of chaos and opens the way for political influence over judges. The act introduces segregation of judges and hands over the judiciary to a political interest group - he continued.
- I strongly oppose dividing judges into better and worse, because in reality, the government aims to divide them into our judges and their judges. There are no neo- or paleo-judges in the Polish legal system. Whether someone is a judge results from the Constitution and laws. The act is clearly unconstitutional and could be a tool to remove judges whom the current authorities fear - he went on to say.
16:43
Nawrocki on His Judiciary Bill:
If Dialogue Proposals Are Rejected, I Will Request a Referendum.
"Poland cannot be a state of chaos. I have waited many months for laws that were to confirm Poles' right to an impartial court. Repeatedly announced by the current government. I received a hastily prepared, widely criticized legal monstrosity, pushed through the Sejm in an extraordinary procedure," said President Karol Nawrocki in a statement.
"In connection with the progressing breakdown of the justice system, as I previously announced, I am presenting my own bill to restore the right to a trial and to have a case heard without undue delay, based on three specific principles: impartiality of courts, finality of judgments, and confirmation of the status of properly nominated judges," he continued.
"If dialogue proposals are rejected, in accordance with my commitment, I will ultimately turn to the nation with a request for a referendum on restoring normality to the functioning of the courts. Let the citizens decide. Their voice is always the most important," he added.
16:50
Bill:
Bad Law Cannot Hide Behind Even the Nicest Name." Nawrocki Vetoes the "Active Farmer
- Today I also made the decision to veto the law named "Active Farmer." Once again, a nice name for a law hides an ugly truth about the proposed changes - said President Karol Nawrocki in a statement.
- Bad law cannot hide behind even the nicest name. Good law defends itself with its content, not propaganda. The Constitution, in Article 23, clearly states: the family farm is the basis of the state's agricultural system. Meanwhile, the proposed regulations favor large entities, while demanding that small farmers prove their activity through complicated bureaucracy - he continued.
- The law assumes that if they do not confirm this activity, they will lose direct subsidies. A further consequence will be the liquidation of these farms and their dismantling by large agricultural enterprises - he went on to say.
16:54
Nawrocki on His Decision Regarding the KSC Act:
Security Has No Party Colors.
- I have signed the Act on the National Cyber Security System - President Karol Nawrocki stated in a declaration.
- We live in an era where war does not always begin with a shot. Sometimes it starts with a click. The number of cyberattacks is dramatically increasing. Digital security is today an element of state security. This act strengthens defense mechanisms, improves institutional cooperation, and allows for the elimination of high-risk suppliers - he continued.
- Security has no party colors. That is why I signed this act, although I must also respond to the voices of entrepreneurs who believe that the statutory obligations applied to them are excessive and disproportionate. This aspect should be examined by the Constitutional Tribunal, which is why I am submitting a request for subsequent review in this matter - he added.
16:58
Nawrocki on Signing the Law Concerning Ukrainian Citizens:
I Promised to End the Era of Unconditional Privileges. Today I am Fulfilling that Commitment.
- The second law signed today is the law on the termination of solutions resulting from the act on aid to Ukrainian citizens - said President Karol Nawrocki in a statement.
- Signing this document shows that consistency in action makes sense. My pressure on this matter, including the previous veto, forced the government to improve this project and introduce changes expected by many Poles, and proposed by me - he continued.
- I promised to end the era of unconditional privileges. Today, I am fulfilling that commitment. The new law ends emergency aid and introduces systemic principles. Support - yes, privileges at the expense of Poles - no - he added.
17:27
The President’s Spokesperson Responds to Tusk:
This is Not the Premier of Polish Affairs.
- Prime Minister Donald Tusk, a proponent of a reset with Russia and a policy of subservience to Germany, seizes every opportunity to attack the President of the Republic of Poland. This is the sole purpose of his political activity. This is not the premier of Polish affairs - wrote Rafał Leśkiewicz on the X platform.
The president’s spokesperson thus responded to the prime minister’s post.
Premier @donaldtusk, zwolennik resetu z Rosją i polityki uległości wobec Niemiec wykorzystuje każdą okazję do ataków na Prezydenta RP. Taki jest jedyny cel jego politycznej aktywności. To nie jest premier polskich spraw.

Kosiniak-Kamysz Comments on the President's Idea:
No Referendum Needed.
- A referendum must have a very specific question. Therefore, referendums should generally not be wishful thinking, but should answer a concrete question, where the answer is most often "yes" or "no". There is no need for a referendum, because I know the answer to this question. Poles want an efficient, well-functioning, and above all, honest and transparent justice system - said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz on the Rymanowski Live channel.
He was referring to the president's announcement in this way. He was referring to the president's announcement in this way.
- It seems that, of course, a referendum is a socio-technical and PR maneuver. Let there be a motion. There will be a motion, and we will respond to the motions - he stated.

Government Spokesperson Comments on the President's Decision:
A Gangster's Move.
"He could have ended the act of chaos in the courts, but instead, he wrote another page of this drama. A gangster's move." - Adam Szłapka wrote on X.
Mógł zakończyć akt chaosu w sądach a napisał kolejną stronę tego dramatu. Gangsterski chwyt.#SzkodliweWeto

- There is something that can be done, following the voice of the people, because I know that's what it is. If we want order, let's carry out a reset of the Constitutional Tribunal - said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz on the Rymanowski Live channel.
- Soon we will be electing six judges. This will not change the functioning of the Tribunal yet, but it will certainly restore some sense of justice and rule of law. But I am for truly rewriting this chapter [of the constitution] from the beginning. I think Confederation is probably in favor of this… - he continued.
18:53
Kosiniak-Kamysz Criticizes Nawrocki:
He is pursuing a policy of liberum veto.
"Certainly, this policy of liberum veto, because it can already be called that after six months... Unfortunately, the president is pursuing [a policy of liberum veto]" - said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz on Rymanowski Live.
When it was pointed out that this slogan has negative connotations and is associated with the partitions of Poland, he replied: "I'm not saying that accidentally, to be honest. Not referring to the partitions, but to the negative connotations. It's not a positive slogan. I am using it, of course, very prudently."
"After today's veto, I cannot react any differently either, because it is imprudent, unreasonable. Why can it be said so? Because the percentage of vetoed bills relative to the length of the term in office is the highest. President Nawrocki has the highest coefficient among all presidents of the Republic of Poland" - he indicated.
19:05
Błaszczak on Nawrocki's Recent Decisions:
The President Stands with the Citizens.
- Karol Nawrocki's decisions show that the president stands with the citizens! - wrote Mariusz Błaszczak on social media.
- The veto against the act on the National Council of the Judiciary (KRS) is a defense of legal stability, the irrefutability of judgments, and the constitutional prerogatives of the head of state. There is no consent for chaos, undermining the status of over 3,000 judges, and the risk of invalidating millions of rulings - emphasized the head of the PiS parliamentary club.
- The veto regarding the so-called "active farmer" is a defense of family farms and Article 23 of the Constitution. No to the bureaucratic liquidation of small farmers and taking away their subsidies! - he added.
Decyzje @NawrockiKn pokazują, że prezydent stoi po stronie obywateli!
— Mariusz Błaszczak (@mblaszczak) February 19, 2026
➡️ Weto wobec ustawy o KRS to obrona stabilności prawa, niepodważalności wyroków i konstytucyjnych prerogatyw głowy państwa. Nie ma zgody na chaos, podważanie statusu ponad 3000 sędziów i ryzyko…
19:05
- Minister Żurek has fallen with this act [on the KRS], moreover, one could say it was a kind of plagiarism from Minister Bodnar - said Zbigniew Bogucki in the program "Wierzbicki and Biedroń Say It As It Is" on wPolsce24 television.
- Minister Bodnar is no longer here, I think, sooner, I hope sooner rather than later, Minister Żurek will also be gone, this act is also gone, and I hope good solutions will be implemented - he continued.
19:11
Bogucki Tells Żurek:
Do Not Try to Shift the Responsibility,
"Mr. Żurek, Mr. Minister, this is not the president's responsibility, do not try to shift this responsibility; it is your responsibility, the responsibility of your circle, a judicial-political one, because in essence, they are politicians in robes, and that must not happen, certainly not," said Zbigniew Bogucki on wPolsce24 television.
19:14
Bogucki on the Content of the Presidential Bill:
Let's End the Division of Judges into New and Old.
- Today, the President's bill has been submitted to the Marshal's Office [...] the President today presented a new bill to the Marshal - said Zbigniew Bogucki on wPolsce24 television.
- The most important thing, meaning, let's stop dividing judges into new and old, neo and paleo. Judges are judges who have gone through a procedure, whether under this or that National Council of the Judiciary, this procedure is legal, its constitutionality has never been questioned in the Polish legal order - he continued, when asked about the content of the presidential bill.
- They were appointed by the president, that is the exclusive prerogative of the president, end of story - he went on to say.
- These judges have the right, even the duty, to issue judgments, to issue various types of rulings, and these rulings must be respected by everyone, and this is in this bill - he added.
19:21
Bogucki:
The Prime Minister repeatedly tried to blackmail the President. This time too, it will backfire.
- Prime Minister Tusk has repeatedly tried to blackmail President Nawrocki, and it has always, so to speak, backfired on him. When he tried to blackmail regarding the Ukrainian law, it backfired. When he tried to blackmail regarding the muzzle law, it backfired. When he tried to push through those lobbyist insertions, it backfired - said Zbigniew Bogucki on wPolsce24 television, when asked about Prime Minister Tusk's words regarding SAFE, which were uttered at a government session.
- This time too, it will backfire on him. Because you cannot put the President of the Republic in a situation where it is said: either Mr. President, you sign, or you don't, and we won't answer questions, or we will only answer those we want to answer - he continued.
- To this day [...] there is no [...] draft agreement that is supposed to be signed between Poland and the European Commission. There is no such agreement. So we are somewhat in the dark - he went on to say.
19:31
Bogucki on the President's actions regarding SAFE:
There is no such decision.
- I am not saying that the President will not sign this bill [regarding SAFE] or will sign it, because that is the President's decision, but the President wants it to be a serious, in-depth discussion, anticipating various consequences - said Zbigniew Bogucki on wPolsce24 television.
- There is no such decision [...] there is no agreement, there is no law, because there is no law yet, it is being processed in the Senate, then probably amendments, so it will be processed in the Sejm, we will see what form it ultimately takes from the Polish parliament - he continued, when asked if the President had already made a decision.
19:39
Bogucki on the Peace Council:
Tusk Needs to Stop Straddling the Fence and Make a Man's Decision.
- Only one thing is needed: a decision as to whether the Polish government wants to be in the security council [referring to the Peace Council] or not, so that Donald Tusk stops straddling the fence and makes a man's decision - said Zbigniew Bogucki on wPolsce24 television.
- He says on the one hand, "not today, but we are analyzing," "not today, but in the future, who knows." - he continued.
19:41
Sikorski on the Peace Council:
It Was Good That Poland Had an Observer.
- I believe it was good that Poland was present, we had an observer [at the Peace Council]. However, for obvious reasons, it did not sign the statute and is not pledging any money or peacekeeping forces - said Radosław Sikorski in an interview with Piotr Witwicki on Polsat News' “Gość Wydarzeń” (Guest of Events).
20:03
Sikorski on SAFE:
It’s Incomprehensible If the Commander-in-Chief Doesn’t Want to Give the Army a Whole Category of New Weapons,
- For me, it would be incomprehensible if the commander-in-chief of the armed forces did not want to give the army a whole category of new weapons. Because the armament programs that the previous government started, the purchase of either F-35s, Apaches, or Abrams, do not absorb the lessons we are drawing from Russian aggression against Ukraine. It is only with SAFE that we can build a drone and anti-drone system, which the military has well conceived – the SAN program - said Radosław Sikorski in “Gość Wydarzeń” on Polsat News.
20:09
Szłapka on the Split in Poland 2050:
This Will Cause No Shock.
- No, I don't think this will cause any shock. We have declarations from both Minister Pełczyńska-Nałęcz and Minister Hennig-Kloska that there is full support for the government, for the coalition. I also talk to MPs, we cooperate, of course, who entered from the Third Way lists and were previously members or are members of Poland 2050. They declare their full support for the government - stated Adam Szłapka on TVN24's "Kropka nad i" (The I Dot).
20:10
- The conditionality principle [in the SAFE program] is the same as in all other European spending programs: you must not steal. And I hope this is not the reason why today's opposition is skeptical – stated Radosław Sikorski on Polsat News's “Gość Wydarzeń” program.
- Every euro of European money is conditioned on the integrity of its spending. […] To the best of my knowledge, this conditionality [that the EC will assess Polish rule of law] is not present in this program – he pointed out.
20:11
Szłapka asked about the Deputy Prime Minister for Poland 2050:
There is no such agreement in the coalition deal.
- There is no such agreement in the coalition deal [regarding the Deputy Prime Minister for Poland 2050]. There is no such agreement in the text of the coalition deal. There was an agreement that Szymon Hołownia would become the Marshal - stated Adam Szłapka on TVN24's "Kropka nad i".
20:20
- He [Waldemar Żurek] also spoke about this very precisely today. There is a Plan B, and even though the President is throwing sand in the gears, it will of course prolong the process, make it more difficult, but we will not stop. The courts will elect their representatives - stated Adam Szłapka on TVN24's "Kropka nad i".
20:21
Sikorski on EU funds:
Our interest is to squeeze Brussels for as long as possible.
- I'll say something a bit contrarian again, perhaps you'll get a little annoyed, but maybe it's paradoxically even different. Maybe we are, in fact, when it comes to anti-EU sentiment, joining Europe a bit, because we were the most Euro-enthusiastic in Europe for years, and now we are kind of averaging out - stated Piotr Witwicki in "Gość Wydarzeń" on Polsat News.
- I believe that we benefit exceptionally greatly from the Union. Because please note: we have very rapid economic growth, and despite this, we are still receiving EU funds to complete the modernization of our infrastructure - replied Radosław Sikorski.
- This, by chance, strongly annoys some in Europe, because every time you boast... - commented the host.
- They are annoyed that we are receiving money, and we are supposed to be anti-EU. You must admit that this is absurd - stated the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
- The question is whether we are in control of this. Because the British press writes so beautifully about us, and somewhere in Europe they wonder: why, if Poland is doing so well, are we still paying them - said the journalist.
- And our interest is to squeeze Brussels for as long as possible. Agreed? - said Sikorski.
- You have today's quote of the day - commented Witwicki.
20:23
Szłapka:
Among Active Politicians in Poland, Nawrocki Was Likely the Last to Visit Russia
- It's difficult to comment on such a statement from one of the President's officials. Among the politicians currently active in the Polish public sphere, Karol Nawrocki was probably the last one to visit Russia. That was in 2017, 2018, long after Russia's aggression against Crimea - stated Adam Szłapka on TVN24's 'Kropka nad i' (Dot Over I).
20:25
Szłapka:
PiS Politicians' Behavior Towards the USA Smacks of Self-Disrespect
- I find it difficult to imagine any political formation in Poland that is more subservient towards our obvious ally, I'm referring here to the USA. However, in order to be respected, including by allies, one must respect oneself. The behavior of PiS politicians towards the USA smacks of self-disrespect - stated Adam Szłapka on TVN24's "Kropka nad i".
20:27
Sikorski:
"Fort Trump" Name? Fort Kościuszko, Fort Pułaski Would Be Uncontroversial
- It [the phrase "Fort Trump"] is risky because military infrastructure is built not in months, but rather in years. So one can assume that authorization from Congress, which might have a different majority, will be needed for its construction or subsequent maintenance. And if, for example, Democrats win the midterm elections in November, they might have a problem with financing - said Radosław Sikorski on "Gość Wydarzeń" Polsat News.
- I believe that Fort Kościuszko, Fort Pułaski, Fort Reagan would be uncontroversial - he assessed.
20:37
- I might as well propose a candidate for President of the United States - said Radosław Sikorski on Polsat News' "Gość Wydarzeń" (Guest of Events), commenting on Jarosław Kaczyński's words today regarding PiS's candidate for prime minister.
20:44
Sikorski on Nawrocki's Remarks Regarding Nuclear Program:
Irresponsible and Harmful.
- I believe that talking about this is irresponsible and harmful. I believe that [the president] acted irresponsibly and harmfully. These are matters that are discussed under the highest secrecy clauses - said Radosław Sikorski in "Gość Wydarzeń" on Polsat News.
He was referring to this statement by Karol Nawrocki.
- The president did not deign to consult on this, and I also consider that unacceptable - he stated.
This is a mess, we would effectively have to leave the EU.
