A parliamentary draft resolution concerning the establishment of a special committee on acts related to the status of close persons will also be voted on.

Bielan:

The EU Needs a Shockwave Like Trump's US Victory

- The United States is becoming increasingly competitive towards Europe. We already have a number of decisions by European industry to relocate production from Europe to the United States. And this will deepen the problems of European industry and deepen problems in the labor market. We in Poland are already feeling it - said Adam Bielan in "Poranek Radia Wnet".

- The unemployment rate has exceeded 6%. […] A figure that we haven't remembered in Poland for a long time – over a million unemployed. We are seeing mass layoffs in many large cities, such as Krakow, Wroclaw, from which major international corporations are withdrawing, citing high energy prices as the reason - he stated.

- And I fear that this is only the beginning, because a number of very bad solutions from the Green Deal, such as ETS2, which will cover transport and construction, are yet to come into effect. We managed to postpone the entry of ETS2 in the European Union by just one year, but when it comes into effect, it will mean gigantic problems, not only for industry, but also for many citizens whose bills, for example, for heating their apartment or house will increase several times - he warned.

In his opinion: - The European Union needs a shockwave on the scale of Donald Trump's victory in the United States, and I think personnel changes are needed. That is why our European Conservatives and Reformists faction, that is why the Polish delegation, the PiS delegation, voted for the dismissal of Ursula von der Leyen from her post, because we believe that Ursula von der Leyen will not make changes to her mistakes.

08:09

Bielan:

Majority in the European Parliament Continues its Course Towards a Wall and is Completely Detached from Reality

- The European Parliament - or rather the majority in the European Parliament, because not everyone, my faction does not belong to this group - continues its course towards a wall. Indeed, we recently voted on an amendment, submitted by ECR MEPs no less, to abandon this insane climate target of a 90% reduction - said Adam Bielan in "Poranek Radia Wnet".

- I will remind you that today we are facing enormous economic difficulties because we are pursuing the 55% target - "Fit for 55", and the European Union wants an even more ambitious, and therefore more expensive for everyone, climate policy. It wants to tighten it even further. And this amendment was rejected by a majority of votes in the EP, including very many MEPs from the European People's Party, the party to which Civic Platform and PSL belong - he stated.

- So we really have a huge problem, because a very large part of the elites, including MEPs, is completely detached from reality - he assessed.

08:13

Bielan:

Europe needs a Trump who will boldly backtrack on climate policy mistakes

- In the European Union, what is needed above all is a radical correction of climate policy. That is, we need a European Trump who will boldly begin to withdraw from the mistakes that European politicians have made in recent years, which have led to energy prices in Europe being three times higher today than in the United States - said Adam Bielan on "Poranek Radia Wnet".

08:18

Bielan:

If PiS Amendments Aren't Accepted, Participation in the SAFE Program Should Be Reconsidered

- A concrete bill [concerning SAFE] will land on the President's desk, which he can either sign or veto. We don't yet know what will be in this bill. What is very concerning is the rejection of amendments proposed by the PiS parliamentary group. Amendments that, incidentally, are similar to those the Ministry of National Defence, led by Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, fought for at the government level - said Adam Bielan on "Poranek Radia Wnet".

- I completely fail to understand why the Polish People's Party (PSL), which supported certain solutions at the government level, is now backing down from them once the bill has reached the Sejm. These are amendments designed to ensure that these funds will actually be utilized by the Polish arms industry, not the German industry - he argued.

- If these amendments are not accepted, then we should consider our participation in this program, as it is a debt-based program, involving loans rather than non-repayable grants - he assessed.

08:20

Kierwiński Responds to PiS Politicians:

This Is Not Testing Our Systems.

- As a rule, this is smuggling, but please remember that in Belarus, smugglers are often people who are in close contact with the top Belarusian authorities. But as a rule – yes, it is smuggling, it is contraband, illegal cigarettes - stated Marcin Kierwiński on RMF FM.

- I know that such suggestions are appearing [that this is testing our anti-aircraft defense systems], mainly from PiS politicians who want to make a big scandal out of it. No, this is not testing our systems. It is difficult to test the defense systems of any country when it comes to balloons that often fly in unpredictable directions, according to the wind - he continued.

08:23

Kierwiński on hybrid attacks:

This is another stage of such harassment of Polish services by Belarusian services

- No, I treat this as hybrid attacks, because it is intended to make life difficult for Polish services. There is no doubt about that. This is another stage of such harassment of Polish services by Belarusian services. I have no doubt about that, and in the background of this procedure there is, of course, the desire for illegal smuggling - stated Marcin Kierwiński on RMF FM.

08:23

Żukowska on Her Reaction to the President's Words During the National Security Council Meeting:

I Cannot Sit Quietly When Someone Lies to My Face.

- I cannot sit quietly when someone lies to my face. That is untrue. I stated that the Marshal has such a certificate. These are the facts - said Anna Maria Żukowska in a conversation with Jacek Żakowski on "Poranek TOK FM," when asked about her reaction to the president's words regarding security clearances, which were spoken during the National Security Council (RBN) meeting.

- He has access to all classified information, including that related to NATO, the European Union, everything, as the Marshal of the Sejm - she continued.

- The Office of the President, the day before the meeting, asked us [...] me, the Marshal, and as far as I know, probably other people too, to send that certificate from the Sejm regarding access to classified information. We sent that certificate. So truly, saying that there is no certificate after having asked for it yourself and received it, is a lie - she went on to say.

08:25

Bielan Critically Assesses SAFE:

Poland Can Indebt Itself for Our Arms Industry’s Needs.

- Poland can indebt itself for the needs of our arms industry, which has the advantage that we won’t be constrained by any European regulations, limitations on who, what, and how we can buy. Today we know perfectly well that we must quickly rebuild our arms industry, but we also know that when it comes to know-how in this industry, there is generally no country more advanced than the United States - said Adam Bielan in “Poranek Radia Wnet.”

- The SAFE program limits the possibility of cooperation, not just purchasing, but technological cooperation with countries like the United States or South Korea, and it’s not impossible that it will be more expensive to service than individual debt taken on by Poland, because there is even talk of a 4 percent loan. I would like to remind you that Poland is capable of indebting itself independently within the range of 3% - he continued.

- And in the case of many contracts with the countries I’ve just mentioned, we have zero interest rates on loans, so from a financial perspective, it will most likely not be profitable for us. Regarding the rigor imposed by the European Union, they are very unfavorable for us - he assessed.

08:26

Kierwiński to Belarusian Representatives:

We Will Also Undertake Actions to Discourage Such Operations.

- We are not remaining passive; there was a meeting with a Belarusian representative here. There are also contacts between the border guards, so the Belarusian side must certainly count on us also undertaking various kinds of actions aimed at discouraging such operations - stated Marcin Kierwiński on RMF FM.

08:28

Kierwiński on the veto of the cryptocurrency bill:

This is no longer mere spite towards the government, it's a deeper problem.

- Yes, he [the opponent of the bill] defends them [cryptocurrencies] as if they were independence. Frankly, it's interesting why, because this is no longer mere spite towards the government. It seems to me that this is some deeper problem, stemming from the fact that certain political circles are investing very heavily in this cryptocurrency. Right-wing [circles] - stated Marcin Kierwiński on RMF FM.

08:31

Kierwiński:

We Will Definitely Not Stop Trying to Regulate the Cryptocurrency Market

- We will definitely not stop trying to regulate the cryptocurrency market, because it is simply incredibly dangerous. Many crimes are committed using cryptocurrencies, on the unregulated cryptocurrency market, but above all, from my perspective, the fact that illegal migration, attempts at illegal migration, are often paid for with cryptocurrencies, is a matter of state security - stated Marcin Kierwiński on RMF FM.

08:32

Bielan:

If it's confirmed that a former Civic Platform MP's company is to receive the largest share of SAFE, it would be a scandal far bigger than KPO yachts

- If it is true that the largest beneficiary of this [SAFE] program is to be a company led by a former Civic Platform MP, as the media reports, then this is a scandal far bigger than the infamous yachts from the KPO received by Civic Platform politicians and their spouses - Adam Bielan said on 'Poranek Radia Wnet'.

- I was referring to Polska Amunicja company, a private company from which the State Treasury withdrew. The Industrial Development Agency, I believe, withdrew from this company last year. So it is a completely private company, led by a former Civic Platform MP, Paweł Poncyljusz. And according to the media, this company is to receive the largest share of the SAFE program for the production of Polish ammunition - he indicated.

- This is a company that has not produced any ammunition to date, so if these media reports are confirmed, it would be a scandalous matter - he assessed.

08:32

Internal Review for the Marshal 'For Peace of Mind'? Żukowska: There's No Procedure for That

- Why can't the Marshal do this? Because there is no procedure for it. Because even if he were to request it, the ABW would respond: we cannot do that - said Anna Maria Żukowska in TOK FM, when asked if Włodzimierz Czarzasty could not, "for peace of mind," say "yes, okay, let's go through this centrifuge, let's close the topic.".

- Quite simply, there is no such procedure, these are our regulations - she continued.

08:40

Nawrocki at the Peace Council Inauguration as an Observer? Żukowska: Playing on Two Pianos Might Be a Good Thing

- I think it's not out of the question that playing on two pianos might be a good thing. Because it's not a commitment - said Anna Maria Żukowska on TOK FM, when asked if, in her opinion, the president should attend the opening of the Peace Council as an observer.

- No [I wouldn't attack the president], because I actually think that, for example, in Davos, the president did a good job. That he somewhat extricated himself from that [...] eased the tension for Poland at least for a moment, it hasn't subsided, because it's still there, President Trump still demands an answer, and perhaps a bit of this stalling him sometimes isn't a bad idea - she continued.

08:43

Sikorski Attacks Nawrocki After His Veto:

Touching Loyalty to Sponsors.

"By breaking a public commitment, Mr. President did not present his own draft regulation of the cryptocurrency market, but once again vetoed the modified government draft," wrote Radosław Sikorski on platform X.

"Touching loyalty to sponsors, both domestic and foreign," stated the Minister of Foreign Affairs.

08:46

Żukowska on the Cryptocurrency Act:

There Will Likely Be Another Attempt.

"This market needs to be regulated somehow, there will likely be another attempt at this. And we'll see if the President changes his mind" - said Anna Maria Żukowska in TOK FM, when asked about the President's veto of the cryptocurrency act.

08:47

Kierwiński on Cenckiewicz's Presence at the National Security Council:

Either They Lie or Don't Understand the Regulations.

- The President's spokesperson lied. When Minister Siemoniak was able to speak, on the point concerning Marshal Czarzasty, Minister Siemoniak stated very clearly that there is a person in the room who does not have access to classified information and that there is no such thing as a one-time clearance. There is no [such thing]; either they are lying or they don't understand the regulations. I don't know which is worse in this situation - stated Marcin Kierwiński on RMF FM.

08:48

Żukowska on the President's Stance on SAFE:

I Have the Impression He's Not Convinced About a Veto.

"I have the impression that the President is not convinced about vetoing it. But whether he's convinced about not vetoing it, I don't know that either, but he's certainly somewhere in between at the moment," said Anna Maria Żukowska in TOK FM, when asked what impression she had after leaving the National Security Council meeting, "whether SAFE has become safer."

08:49

Kierwiński:

Bogucki broke the law

"In my opinion, the law was broken in this matter [Sławomir Cienkiewicz's presence at the National Security Council], Minister Bogucki broke it, and it will probably be investigated by the services," stated Marcin Kierwiński on RMF FM.

08:53

Żukowska on the Nearest Person Status Act:

I Hope This Already Stripped-Down Form Won't Be Changed.

"I have such a hope, for now we are at the stage after the first reading, several motions to reject were made, and here I am convinced that these motions will not pass, meaning the act will proceed to the second reading and will be sent to committee" said Anna Maria Żukowska in TOK FM, when asked "whether the act on the status of the nearest person will pass".

"This is the beginning of its parliamentary journey, I think it will be possible to negotiate, but I hope that this form, which is already stripped-down, and this is not the act of our dreams, will not be changed anymore" she continued.

09:04

Siemoniak:

Czarnek Doesn't Rule Out Coalition with Braun's Party. The Masks Are Coming Off

"Przemysław Czarnek, one of PiS leaders, does not rule out a future coalition with Braun's party. He is not bothered by the strong pro-Russian and antisemitic elements in Braun's activities. The masks are coming off!" - Tomasz Siemoniak wrote on X.

This is a reaction to Przemysław Czarnek's statement to Rzeczpospolita. Asked whether PiS could form a government with Braun's party, the politician said that "it is the voters, not the United States embassy, who will decide on the distribution of mandates in the Sejm" and "only then will we see with whom a coalition can be formed that will lead to the creation of a responsible government. [...] The United States has nothing to do with this."

Earlier, the US Ambassador to Poland, Tom Rose, said in an interview with Rzeczpospolita that Grzegorz Braun is "very anti-American" and that for the US administration, Braun's potential entry into government would be a "serious problem."

09:22

Błaszczak on the SAFE Program:

Either You State There Are Not 2 Genders, But 240, or They Will Withhold Funds.

- Do you want to know what will happen with the SAFE loan, which you consider manna from heaven? You're rushing for these loans without a shred of reflection that the EU will soon say: either you accept illegal migrants, or they will withhold payment - stated Mariusz Błaszczak in the Sejm.

- Either you state that there are not 2 genders, but you know how many, 240, and this number grows every day, or they will withhold payment. Either you agree to changes in the treaties that mean a loss of independence, or they will withhold payment. This is what conditionality, which you agree to, entails. You want to limit the purchasing options of the Polish Army to a narrow catalog of armaments indicated by the EU, instead of using PiS solutions - he continued.

09:43

Domański States in the Sejm:

Anyone Voting Against the SAFE Program is Either a Fool or a Traitor to Poland's Interests,

- There is no more effective, cheaper source of financing for the modernization of the Polish army than the SAFE program. The savings range from PLN 36 billion when compared to issuing treasury bonds to as much as PLN 60 billion when comparing the costs of the SAFE program with the costs of issuing bonds by BGK – stated Andrzej Domański in the Sejm.

- Furthermore, the SAFE program will accelerate the modernization of the Polish army. Therefore, I would like to state very clearly here that anyone who votes against the SAFE program is either a fool or a traitor to Poland's interests – he continued.

09:45

Domański Announces Senate Amendment to SAFE Act Draft

- Listening to the voices raised during the discussion and to dispel any doubts, I would like to announce that at the Senate stage, we will submit a comprehensive amendment that will very clearly and precisely show that there will be no financing for the repayment of the SAFE program from part 29 of the Ministry of National Defence budget - stated Andrzej Domański in the Sejm.

09:50

Kosiniak-Kamysz:

If You Don't Want Cheaper Funding for Army Purchases, You Are Against the Polish Army

- What is the SAFE program? [...] It is a way of financing the modernization of the Polish army. Modernization outlined by Polish soldiers, the Polish General Staff, and the Armaments Agency. Do you not believe Gen. Kukułka? Do you not believe Gen. Kuptel? Are you not for the Polish uniform that wrote the modernization plan for the Polish army? - said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz during a Sejm session.

- The SAFE program is not about projects imposed by the European Union, it is not about contractors imposed by the European Union. These are conclusions stemming from the needs of the Polish army - he continued.

- If you do not want cheaper funding for purchases, and therefore more purchases and faster purchases for the Polish army, then you are against modernization and against the Polish Army, against the armed forces - he continued.

09:53

Armaments Agency, Not the European Commission, Will Contract Polish Military Equipment. Kosiniak-Kamysz Rebuffs Accusations Regarding SAFE

- How will contractors be selected in this project? In the same way as for any other, whether financed by Korean, American, or Polish budget funds - stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz during a Sejm session.

- Nothing is changing. The Armaments Agency [...[ makes the choice of the bidder who guarantees the delivery of the equipment, guarantees its timeliness, quality, and price - he continued.

-The system for selecting offers is not changing, so you can shout about all sorts of companies, but this system was in place yesterday, just as it will be tomorrow, after the adoption of SAFE. It is not changing. The Armaments Agency, not the European Commission, will contract Polish military equipment - he went on to say.

09:55

"This is a division: are you for a safe Poland or a defenseless one."Kosiniak-Kamysz attacks SAFE opponents

- Sovereignty is not defended by your slogans. Sovereignty is defended by the strength of the Polish army. Sovereignty is not a declaration. It is a value that must be built, and you need money to do it - said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz during a Sejm session.

- A very clear division has now emerged in this chamber. This is not a division of whether you are for SAFE or against it. This is really a division of whether you are for a great, strong, and safe Poland, or for a weak, unambitious, and defenseless one - he continued.

09:56

Sejm Approves SAFE Program Bill

236 MPs voted "for" the adoption of the government's bill on the Financial Instrument for Increasing Security SAFE - in practice, the proposal was supported by the ruling coalition, 2 independent MPs, and 4 MPs from the Razem parliamentary group.

PiS - not counting Paweł Jabłoński, who abstained - voted against, as did the Confederation parliamentary club.

10:00

Tusk on the SAFE Vote:

The Masks Have Fallen. This is No Longer Opposition, but Enemies of Polish Independence.

"The masks have fallen. PiS and Konfederacja voted against the SAFE program, meaning against Poland's security, against a modern army, against the Polish defense industry. This is no longer opposition, these are enemies of Polish independence," wrote Prime Minister Donald Tusk on the X portal.

10:16

Zandberg:

Regarding SAFE, PiS is acting as foolishly as PO once did regarding KPO

"I have deja vu. Regarding SAFE, PiS is acting in parliament as foolishly as Civic Platform once did regarding KPO. A situation where strategic matters are less important than a short-term spat is simply dangerous. And for that reason alone, we must end this POPiS era" - wrote Adrian Zandberg on X.

10:38

PiS Questions Former PO MP's Company and Requests Urgent Committee Session

- The information revealed yesterday by the media, that the largest amount of funds from SAFE will go to a company privatized by the ruling party, headed by a former Civic Platform (PO) MP, will not go unanswered - wrote Mariusz Błaszczak on social media.

- We are submitting a request for an urgent session of the Parliamentary Committee on Special Services regarding this matter. We demand information on whether the Central Anticorruption Bureau (CBA) is exercising any oversight over the distribution of funds from SAFE - emphasized the head of the PiS parliamentary club.

- We have already seen a demonstration of this government's "capabilities" in the case of the KPO HoReCa. Let's not allow them to repeat it! - he added.

10:49

Czarnek Calls for Rejection of Proposals on Nearest Relative Status Laws:

You Can Call a Horse a Cow, It Will Still Remain a Horse.

- On behalf of the PiS parliamentary club, I submit a motion to reject this resolution project [concerning the establishment of an Extraordinary Commission for Laws on the Status of Nearest Relatives] in the first reading. For one reason, our colleagues from PSL are simply ashamed of this law and want to suspend the proceedings. This simply makes no sense, withdraw from it - stated Przemysław Czarnek in the Sejm.

- The fact that you want to call an attempt to legalize or establish pseudo-homosexual marriages a nearest relative status agreement changes nothing. You can call a horse a cow, it will still remain a horse. You simply oppose the words of Marshal Sawicki, who says: this is just the first step towards the legalization of adoption by gay couples, and this cannot be allowed. Even if 6 ambassadors were to pass here - emphasized the PiS politician.

11:15

Kosiniak-Kamysz:

I was disappointed by the opposition's stance, which does not want a strong Poland, a strong Polish army

- I was disappointed by the opposition's stance, which does not want a strong Poland, a strong Polish army, a strong Polish armaments industry; I completely fail to understand it. They've fallen into some vortex of madness and probably don't know how to get out. We will help. I think the amendment in the Senate, which guarantees what Minister Domański said – I had this declaration much earlier, so I could certainly speak about it – already on Wednesday morning, that expenditures from the SAFE fund will not be counted towards the Ministry of National Defence's budget, nor will the repayment of these expenditures be counted towards the Ministry of National Defence's budget - stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz in a conversation with journalists in the Sejm.

11:30

Kotula on the Establishment of an Extraordinary Committee for the Draft Law on the Status of a Next of Kin:

Nearly 2 Million People Are Waiting for This Law.

- This is a law that provides legal protection for couples living in informal unions. Nearly 2 million of our citizens, men and women, are waiting for such a solution - a law on civil-law agreements registered with a notary, which will give them guarantees of security in social, material, and economic aspects, but also in terms of partnership, equal rights, and equal responsibilities - said Katarzyna Kotula at a press conference in the Sejm.

- Property co-ownership, joint tax filing, exemption from inheritance and gift tax. There are no controversies here - she pointed out.

- I very much want to thank Member of Parliament Urszula Pasławska for many weeks and many months of hard work. Today, by the decision of the parliament, by the votes of Members of Parliament, we are establishing an extraordinary committee dedicated to this project - she stated.

- We want to have substantive discussions about every article, about every solution, about every provision of this law. Because I am convinced that everyone who thinks well of Polish women and men, everyone who cares about the security of Polish women and men, everyone who wants the Polish state to protect its citizens, men and women, will vote for this law and will want to sit down at the table and work substantively on this law - she continued.

11:36

Kotula Announces Meetings with the President Regarding the Nearest Person Status Bill:

We Will Fight for a Signature.

"I know and I believe that this bill [on the status of the nearest person in a relationship and a common-law partnership agreement], thanks to the work of The Left, thanks to our presence in the government, will find its way to the President's desk. I will be meeting with the President, along with Urszula Pasławska [...]. We will do everything we can to use substantive arguments to convince the President" - said Katarzyna Kotula at a press conference in the Sejm.

As she emphasized: "This bill takes nothing away from anyone. It is not a threat to Polish marriages. This is not a bill about marriage. This is a bill about guarantees of security, about legal protection."

"We will do everything and we will fight for it to be signed, because the President promised that he would sign the bill on the status of the nearest person in a relationship. The President has a patchwork family, and I believe the President will fulfill his promise and prove to be the President of all Polish women and all Polish men" - she stated.

11:40

Tomczyk on SAFE:

All This Fury We See from the Law and Justice Party Stems from Lobbyists Speaking Up.

- Over 130 tasks [within SAFE], between 80 and 90 percent in the Polish defense industry. The question often arises, how do we know this. This is because the Armaments Agency [...] prepared a compilation [...] All this discussion, or rather all this fury, which we see today from the Law and Justice party, stems precisely from this. Because lobbyists from many countries have spoken up, who believe that this money should be spent in their countries - stated Cezary Tomczyk at a press conference.

- We believe unequivocally and clearly that this money should be spent primarily in Poland - he continued.

11:52

Tomczyk:

Government to Unveil SAFE Program Tasks in Coming Weeks

- The list of tasks related to the SAFE program will be presented by the government in the coming weeks. And secondly, which is of particular importance to me, but necessarily to all of us, is the safeguarding of the Minister of National Defense's interests from a budgetary perspective - stated Cezary Tomczyk at a press conference at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister (KPRM).

- Today's words from Minister Domański and Minister Kosiniak-Kamysz unequivocally determine that a comprehensive amendment will be submitted in the Senate, which will safeguard the budgetary interests of the Ministry of National Defense, so that all elements concerning SAF are implemented outside of Part 23, which is the budget part concerning the Minister of National Defense - he continued.

12:02

Nawrocki-Siemoniak Meeting? Szłapka: It Must Be Agreed with the Prime Minister

- For now, we only know about any proposed meeting from social media; no official invitation has arrived. If such an invitation does come, then of course it is something that must be agreed upon with the Prime Minister – said Adam Szłapka at a press conference, when asked about the response to the proposal for a meeting between Tomasz Siemoniak and the heads of security services, initiated by President Karol Nawrocki (the meeting would concern the Speaker of the Sejm, Włodzimierz Czarzasty).

- It's not that the President summons ministers and questions them; it must be absolute cooperation and agreement with the Prime Minister, and then such a decision will be made – he continued.

12:10

Tomczyk:

I wish PiS would stop being a lobbyist for foreign countries

- I have only one appeal to PiS [...]. I wish PiS would stop being a lobbyist for foreign countries, and simply become a lobbyist for Poland. It's not that difficult - said Cezary Tomczyk at a press conference.

13:51

Poland's Political Class Has Decided on Nearly 50 Years of National Debt. Bryłka on the SAFE Program

- In summary, Poland's political class has decided on nearly 50 years of national debt for the nation. Repayment will last until 2070, and it will be paid for by Poles who have not yet been born - wrote Anna Bryłka on social media.

- We have no guarantees that the entire amount will strengthen Polish security, there is no transparency from the Polish government regarding its expenditure, and above all, there are no guarantees that after 2027, should the government change to a right-wing one, the funds will not be halted - emphasized the Confederation MEP.

- It's roughly like someone offering a mortgage at 3%, but the bank chooses the borrower's apartment, and then conditions the disbursement of tranches on whether the borrower likes equality parades and segregates their waste. Who would agree to such an arrangement if they were spending their own money? - she concluded.

14:32

PiS Wants the Government to Sue the EU Council over the Mercosur Agreement:

We Will Demand Such a Motion Be Filed.

- As a parliamentary club, we have prepared a draft resolution obliging Donald Tusk's government to challenge the decision of the Council of the European Union of January 9 this year, a decision based on which the agreement with South America, the Mercosur agreement, was introduced - said Mariusz Błaszczak at a press conference.

- This decision should be challenged because it allows for the temporary application of this agreement [...] it is a fulfillment of German expectations, which are contrary to Polish interests, especially the interests of Polish farmers, the Polish countryside - he continued.

- Yesterday, the agriculture committee rejected the draft resolution I just mentioned, thus rejecting the possibility of challenging, meaning stopping the temporary validity of the Mercosur agreement - he went on to say.

- We will demand that this agreement be terminated, and earlier, that it be challenged through decisions in the Court of Justice of the European Union, but for the case to reach the Court of Justice of the European Union, a motion must be filed by the government, so we will consistently demand that such a motion be filed - he added.

Morawiecki on Terlecki's Words:

He Said What I Often Hear from Our Voters at Meetings.

- To all hot heads who have today attacked Ryszard Terlecki: hold back, gentlemen. Mr. Marshal has vast experience and a political path behind him that many can only dream of - wrote Mateusz Morawiecki on social media.

- He said what I often hear from our voters at meetings. Instead of creating a sect aimed at hardening the convinced, I recommend focusing on conversations with Poles and listening to what truly occupies them today and what their concerns are. By playing into internal conflict, you are playing a game orchestrated by our opponents - emphasized the Deputy Chairman of PiS.

Today, Ryszard Terlecki, in an interview with TVN24, commented on Sebastian Kaleta's behavior with the word "shitty business." - But what can you do? Not everyone is well-behaved - commented the elder PiS MP on the entire situation.

14:43

Błaszczak Criticizes the PSL:

They've Gone Mad. They Came to Warsaw and Are Occupying Themselves with Partnership Unions.

- What is the PSL occupied with today? Are they occupied with the Polish countryside? No, ladies and gentlemen, they are occupied with partnership unions. They are occupied with partnership unions. They have gone mad. They have left the cities, towns, the Polish countryside, they have come to Warsaw and partnership unions are what occupies them - said Mariusz Błaszczak at a press conference.

14:56

Błaszczak on the Mercosur Deal:

When We Take Power, We Will Annul This Agreement.

- When we take power, we will annul this agreement. Poland will withdraw from this agreement. Just as France withdrew from this agreement, so will Poland withdraw from this agreement - stated Mariusz Błaszczak at a press conference.

15:24

Tusk on Ukraine Talks:

It is increasingly being said that Europe should be more present in these formats.

- We will discuss the recent American-Russian and Ukrainian-Russian talks and the prospect of a ceasefire or peace. It is also increasingly being said that Europe should be more present in these formats, both in the talks preparing for peace and in the future peace treaty itself, for obvious reasons, and we will also discuss this - stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk in an interview with journalists.

15:24

Tusk announces meeting with Hungarian opposition leader:

He is particularly keen on rebuilding relations with Poland.

- I will also meet with the Hungarian opposition's candidate for prime minister. Mr. Magyar asked for this meeting; he will have a whole series of meetings, but he is particularly keen on rebuilding relations with Poland. For understandable reasons, I am also interested in this, - stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk in a conversation with journalists.

15:26

Meeting with Rubio? Tusk: I haven't planned for it yet

- I haven't planned for such a meeting [with Marco Rubio] for now. Especially since information from the American side about who will be present and who won't keeps changing. Therefore, it's quite difficult to set meeting agendas based on this information. But of course, it would be good if Marco Rubio participated in the meeting, whether it's with the coalition of the willing or the evening NATO states meeting. But that doesn't depend on me - Prime Minister Donald Tusk stated in a conversation with journalists.

15:27

Tusk on the SAFE Program:

The Opposition's Interest in Discrediting Success is Quite Clear.

- The matter is quite simple. Simple in the sense that the opposition's interest – PiS, Konfederacja, and President Nawrocki – in discrediting in the public eye this evident Polish success, which is securing funds from the SAFE program, is quite clear – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk in a conversation with journalists.

- From the beginning, it was known that we were talking about a loan, and from the beginning, it was known that it was a loan on very preferential terms. From Poland's perspective, one could say it is a very, very valuable – he continued.

15:33

Tusk on the Vote Regarding SAFE:

Fear Completely Blinded Them.

- Until the day before yesterday, signals were also coming from President Nawrocki and the opposition: well, perhaps Tusk arranged this, but in the end, it's not so bad. In my opinion, fear simply blinded them completely - stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk in a conversation with journalists.

- That is, they voted today against Poland's most vital interests simply because they do not want to put their hands to what is an evident success for Poland and my government. It is very unfortunate that such a narrow perspective can lead them to vote against Poland - he continued.

15:34

"Something Truly Unforgivable." Tusk on a "Campaign of Lies and Vilification"

- I am absolutely surprised. I won't say shocked, because I've seen various things, but the fact that they prepared such a campaign of lies and vilification of this project in 24 hours, solely because they don't want to accept the fact that Poland has achieved success, is something truly unforgivable - stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk in a conversation with journalists.

15:35

Tusk Comments on the Presidential Veto Regarding Cryptocurrencies:

I'm Developing More and More Bad Suspicions.

- I will also be waiting for the President's decision on whether he will veto it or not. For now, I am under a very bad impression of his veto regarding this latest bill on security in the cryptocurrency market, the security of Poles present in this market. I am developing more and more bad suspicions about who and why is prompting the President, Konfederacja, and PiS to so vehemently block regulations intended to make this market safe for people - stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk in a conversation with journalists.

15:37

Tusk Defends Czarzasty:

Mr. Nawrocki's Company Causes Far More Controversy.

- They decided it was some kind of game that could help and favor them. I've already said what I think. I also told President Nawrocki that his insinuations and suggestions that Mr. Czarzasty is bad company and Mr. Czarzasty's company is bad company. And I can only say once more that Mr. Nawrocki's company causes far more controversy - stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk in a conversation with journalists.

15:39

Polish Arms Industry Progressing Step-by-Step, While Also Capturing Global Markets. Tusk on Piorun Missiles

- Germany is also among those countries that would like to purchase Piorun missiles from us, giving some of them to Ukraine and keeping some for their own army's future equipment. Therefore, I can say with satisfaction that the Polish arms industry, step by step, is also capturing global markets - stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk in a conversation with journalists.

17:46

Nawrocki in Hajnówka:

We Have Already Won the Election; Now We Must Win the 21st Century and the Future of Our Homeland.

- We have already won the election, and now we must win the 21st century and the future of our wonderful homeland, and that is why we are meeting here, in Podlasie, in Hajnówka - stated President Karol Nawrocki in Hajnówka.

17:50

Nawrocki Recalls the Border Defense Issue:

Not Everyone Diagnosed the Beginnings of the Hybrid War and Hasn't Apologized for It Yet.

- To the challenges facing Poland in the 21st century. The most important ones, and those that Podlasie and the entire eastern border are experiencing most intensely in the Republic, in our homeland - stated President Karol Nawrocki in Hajnówka.

- This is primarily the task of building the security and resilience of the Polish state, on the one hand, against the threat of hybrid warfare, which has been unfolding before our eyes for many years, although not everyone diagnosed the beginnings of the hybrid war and has not yet apologized for it to this day, which as President of Poland, I find outrageous - he continued.

- When we already knew that a barrier needed to be built, that the eastern border needed to be defended, not everyone who was responsible for the fate of the Republic of Poland at that time shared this conviction - he went on to say.

- We could have acted in a pro-state manner [...] the point is that if the Republic is threatened and the Polish border is threatened, we are obligated to stand together, jointly caring for the Republic of Poland, and unfortunately, for several years, a part of the Polish political class, and they have never apologized for it, stood aside from the raison d'état of the Republic of Poland - he added.

- I also came to Hajnówka to say that Polish soldiers, Polish border guards, and I believe the residents of Hajnówka as well, are still awaiting an apology for what happened a few years ago when the Polish border was attacked by hybrid warfare from Belarus - he emphasized.

17:53

Nawrocki:

All Decisions I Make, I Make According to This Slogan

"I want to convince you that all the decisions I make, I make them in accordance with this slogan that you have displayed here, and for that I thank you - Poland first, Poles first. First, the security of the Republic of Poland, economic development, and economic security," stated President Karol Nawrocki in Hajnówka.

17:54

Nawrocki on the Peace Council:

The government doesn't want to make the first decision that would allow me to make the final one.

- We must consider, and I want to say this more to the cameras, but also to you, not what European elites or Ursula von der Leyen think about Poland's security, Poland's accession to the Peace Council, or Poland's participation in the SAFE program. This is not the task of the President of Poland. The task of the President of Poland is to look our security in the face in Hajnówka, at the border guard post of the Republic of Poland, and answer the question: is the SAFE program good or bad for Poland's development and security? - stated President Karol Nawrocki in Hajnówka.

- Calmly, methodically, without good or bad emotions. But to say what will result for the Hajnówka poviat and the border guard post of the Republic of Poland if Poland joins the SAFE program. What will happen if Poland does not join the Peace Council, because the government does not want to make the first decision that would allow me to make the final decision, what will be the consequences for the Republic of Poland? Will it mean that 10,000 American soldiers might have political doubts because of the American administration, or will this decision not require it? - he continued.

18:00

Nawrocki:

15 Frozen Bills Representing Millions of Poles Lie in the Polish Sejm

- There are 15 bills frozen in the Polish Sejm. 15 bills from the President of the Republic of Poland, who won direct elections, receiving 10.5 million votes. 15 frozen bills, which are your voice and the voice of millions of Poles, lie in the Polish Sejm - stated President Karol Nawrocki in Hajnówka.

18:04

Nawrocki:

I am outraged when I hear that ecology is arriving in Poland to displace or become religion

- When I hear that ecology is arriving in Poland, which is intended to displace, perhaps religion or to become religion itself, and to start destroying all three foundations of sustainable forest management, and you as a state feel this perfectly, then as the President of Poland, I am on the one hand against it, and on the other hand, I am deeply outraged by it - stated President Karol Nawrocki in Hajnówka.

18:05

Nawrocki:

I Said I Would Never Allow Privatization of Forests, and That Remains True

"During the election campaign, I said that I would never allow the privatization of Polish forests, and that remains true," stated President Karol Nawrocki in Hajnówka.

18:06

Nawrocki in Hajnówka:

I Disagree with Extra-Statutory Resolution of Forest Matters.

- I disagree with the extra-statutory resolution of forest matters and what is happening today, because I know how much you are struggling with the Ministry of Climate and how much the wood processing industry is suffering because of it - stated President Karol Nawrocki in Hajnówka.

19:49

Bosak on the SAFE program:

Parliament has been completely excluded from these decisions – this is against the principles of democracy.

- Parliament has been completely excluded from these decisions. And this is against the principles of democracy. We are to endorse gigantic debt for generations without any control over spending - stated Krzysztof Bosak in "Fakty po faktach" on TVN24.

19:50

Kaczyński Disciplines PiS Politicians:

Anyone Who Speaks Up in This Harmful Discussion Will Be Suspended.

- Ladies and Gentlemen, in connection with recent public statements by some PiS members, I inform you that anyone who speaks up in this harmful discussion, regardless of their merits or party position, will be suspended from PiS membership rights, which will also have a clear impact on their political future. Such behavior is extremely harmful to Poland and PiS - wrote Jarosław Kaczyński on social media.

19:52

Bogucki Responds to Sikorski:

Perhaps You Can Convince the Marshal to Unfreeze It?

- The President has a draft prepared, but he doesn't want it to become another "frozen item" in Marshal Czarzasty's cold storage. Even the Poland 2050 draft
regarding crypto-assets is frozen in that cold storage - wrote Zbigniew Bogucki on social media.

- Mr. Deputy Prime Minister Sikorski, perhaps you can convince the Marshal of the Sejm to unfreeze things? - asks the Head of the Presidential Chancellery in his post.

"Furthermore, the President proposes consultations with the government on this bill, in order to develop solutions that will actually work, ensure the safety of Poles, and allow Polish companies to grow.

As for sponsors, especially foreign ones, and subservience to them, your boss, Prime Minister Tusk, has the most knowledge based on his own experiences. He also has a great deal of knowledge after the last campaign from the one with whom you disastrously lost even before the starting line, and who later lost to President Nawrocki.

President Nawrocki is loyal to Poland and Poles, and somehow it doesn't surprise me that you don't understand this."

20:07

Sikorski Publishes Photo with Rubio:

Another Good Discussion Behind Us.

- Thank you to Secretary Rubio for continuing our conversation from Washington last week. Another good discussion behind us - about the G20, support for Ukraine, transatlantic relations, and the Polish model of systemic transformation - Radosław Sikorski wrote on social media.

20:16

Tusk Publishes Photo with Hungarian Opposition Leader:

Today Budapest Wants to Be Like Warsaw.

- Some wanted to make Warsaw like Budapest. Today Budapest wants to be like Warsaw - Donald Tusk wrote on social media.

21:33

Bosak on Nawrocki's Participation in the Peace Council Meeting:

I Think He Wants To, But Perhaps Shouldn't.

- I don't know [if President Karol Nawrocki will attend the inaugural Peace Council meeting on February 19th]. I think he wants to. [...] However, I think he probably shouldn't - stated Krzysztof Bosak on TVN24's "Fakty po Faktach" (Facts After Facts).

- The President represents Poland, and if the summit's formula foresees the participation of heads of state who are not joining the Peace Council but are playing the role of observers and participants in this ceremony, then there might be some sense in such a trip - he stated.

- However, these details, at the moment, I think our diplomats in Washington know, or nobody knows. [...] This whole Peace Council, everything that's happening around it, is a cascade of diplomatic precedents, hence the large disputes about what to do here at all. The Americans have put everyone in a rather awkward situation, and I think in awkward situations, caution and restraint are advisable. That's my approach - he assessed.

21:35

Should Poland Join the Peace Council? Bosak: I'm Rather Skeptical

- We know that the Prime Minister [...] said at a government meeting that the government, under current circumstances, is not in favor of joining the [Peace] Council. Are you for or against it? - asked Piotr Marciniak on TVN24's "Fakty po Faktach" (Facts after Facts).

- I'm rather skeptical - replied Krzysztof Bosak.
