– Nineteen crossings, these specific violations of Polish airspace, have been recorded and precisely tracked. These are not, of course, the final figures, as the Chief of the General Staff intends to provide only confirmed data to the state and public opinion – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk in the Sejm.

– For the first time, a significant portion of these drones flew over Poland directly from Belarus. After identifying the threat, operations were initiated to counter objects that we deemed to be directly threatening our security. At present, we have confirmed the downing of 3 drones, and it is very probable that a fourth object was also shot down. It is also not out of the question that there were more such downings. Due to weather conditions and the nature of the operation, verifying this will take us some more time, and it is also linked to searching for artifacts, the remnants of these objects on the ground – he indicated.

– The last of the drones was destroyed at 6:45 AM – he added.

– Allied consultations have also begun regarding actions aimed at strengthening the air defense of alliance forces over our territory – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk in the Sejm.

– At 10:06 PM yesterday, the military received the first information about the start of a massive air attack by the Russian Federation on Ukraine. This would not be unusual, were it not for the scale of this attack and the number of drones and missiles involved, – said Prime Minister Donald Tusk in the Sejm.

– Following this information, the Operational Command raised the readiness of forces and assets in the 'Eastern Dawn' operation. In addition to ground systems, SAAB and AWACS early warning aircraft were activated for air operations; this was allied cooperation within NATO. Two F-35s, two F-16s, MI-24, MI-17, and Black Hawk helicopters were dispatched to the anticipated area of operations, – he continued.

– Around 11:30 PM, the first violation of our country's airspace was recorded. The last one we recorded occurred around 6:30 AM. This gives an idea of the scale of this operation; it lasted exactly all night, – he pointed out.

– The allied consultations I am referring to will take, and indeed, have just now taken, the form of a formal request to activate Article 4 of the North Atlantic Treaty. Article 4 states: "The Parties will consult together whenever, in the opinion of any of them, the territorial integrity, political independence or security of any of the Parties is threatened." This decision to activate Article 4 was preceded by my consultations with Mr. President, and it is our joint recommendation and joint decision – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk in the Sejm.

– From the very first moments of these dramatic events, I have been in contact with both the President and the Minister of National Defence. We met with the President last night at the operational command headquarters, and I want to begin with that, because I believe it is also an appeal to all of us at this particular moment – said Prime Minister Donald Tusk in the Sejm.

– The President, the ministers of my government, and I are absolutely determined to act on these matters as one, in complete agreement, without the slightest differences – he continued.

– At times like these, we all must pass this test of unity. Whatever differences or emotions may divide us, on this issue, there cannot be even the slightest crack where an adversary or enemy – for that is what we can call our eastern neighbour today – would want to get their paws in – he went on.

– Yes, words of solidarity are needed at a time like this, but they are not enough. Today, it must be stated very loudly and clearly to the entire Western world, to all our allies – Article 4 is merely an introduction to deepened cooperation for the security of our airspace and our border, which is a NATO border, and words here will absolutely not suffice. During consultations, both under Article 4 procedures and political consultations between capitals, we will expect significantly greater support – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk in the Sejm.

– I appeal to all those who hold different views, including geopolitical ones, different from my own: at this time, when Russia's aggressive intentions no longer leave the slightest doubt, and Belarus's aggressive daily practices leave no doubt, do not look for an enemy in the West. There's no need; one real enemy in the East is enough for us. And today, and in the near future, our common task is and must be the full mobilization of the entire West, so that Poland never again finds itself in a situation where we thought we had real alliances, only for them to turn out to be 'paper alliances' – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk in the Sejm.

– Ukraine is currently fighting Russia, a Russia that directly threatens Poland. Today, it is high time for us to reiterate – we are Ukraine's allies in its war with Russia; there can be no room here for any strange speculations, any ambiguities. Poland will stand with Ukraine, will support Ukraine, because it is Ukraine that today bears the main burden of resistance against Russia's aggressive policy – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk in the Sejm.

– I want to highlight this good cooperation, because we all know the political conditions under which we have had to operate. It is not easy. We are all aware of what divides us and the differences we have. Therefore, it is with such satisfaction that I must emphasize that the cooperation among all state institutions and the heads of these institutions is truly exemplary – said Prime Minister Donald Tusk in the Sejm.

– There is no reason today to claim that we are in a state of war. But there is no doubt that this provocation exceeds previous limits and is incomparably more dangerous from Poland's point of view than all other, earlier ones – Prime Minister Donald Tusk said in the Sejm.

– Indeed, this is certainly Russia's attack on Poland, though for now, a warning one. I believe there could be two direct causes. Firstly, this improvement in Polish-American relations, which is certainly not welcomed there, and a warning to Americans that they will have trouble here – stated Jarosław Kaczyński in an interview with Radio Wnet.

– And secondly, the blocking of the border, because that is a significant blow to Belarus, but also to Russia, and partly to China. And I believe that's a response to that, but perhaps especially that first reason may lay the groundwork for such reasoning, that this kind of matters, perhaps even in an intensified form, will simply repeat themselves – continued the PiS chairman.

– What can we do, what should the Polish state do, to ensure Poland's security? It should do three things. Firstly, it should arm itself, secondly, it should arm itself, and thirdly, it should arm itself – said Mariusz Błaszczak at a press conference.

– Therefore, we also demand that all contracts initiated during the Law and Justice (PiS) government be continued, so that those currently in power do not limit the scope of military equipment that is necessary for the Polish army's inventory – he continued.

– On behalf of our entire political formation, we appeal to Prime Minister Kosiniak-Kamysz with the expectation of an urgent presentation concerning the utilization of 180 billion PLN from the SAFE mechanism. We are very pleased that Poland is securing these low-interest loans, but it will be crucial how these funds are spent – whether they will be allocated to the Polish defense industry or abroad? We advocate for the development of the Polish defense industry; experiences from Ukraine indicate that this domestic industry should not only be expanded but also dispersed – stated Michał Dworczyk at a press briefing in the Sejm.

– New funds, a massive amount of approximately 15 to 20 billion zlotys annually, could be raised from a bank tax. A serious bank tax, not what has been proposed by the current government. These substantial funds should immediately be invested in developing Poland's air defense, anti-missile, and anti-drone capabilities – said Mateusz Morawiecki at a press conference.

– I also demand the immediate closure of Polish airspace to Russian tourists who are flying over our heads to Turkey, Egypt, or the United Arab Emirates to spend their holidays. I demand the closure of airspace to Russian cargo, or to any cargo flying into Russia. This would be a powerful blow to the Russian economy, Mateusz Morawiecki said at a press conference.

– We must be prepared for such attempts to violate our airspace to intensify, and to intensify manifold. If there were 100, or 200, or 300 such drones, while sometimes 700-800 drones and various types of missiles fly over Ukraine, then our ability to respond would genuinely be put to the test, likely with a negative outcome – stated Mateusz Morawiecki at a press briefing in the Sejm.

– We have specific proposals; we want to constructively cooperate with the current government, because unity is crucial, solidarity is crucial, and the responsibility of everyone is important, and I declare such a willingness to cooperate. – Polish airspace has been violated 19 times. Russian drones flew over Poland and were shot down. We have no doubt that this was not an accidental event – said Radosław Sikorski at a press conference.

"The Ukrainian Minister of Foreign Affairs today reiterated to me the Ukrainian state's request for NATO allies to be able to shoot down Russian drones and missiles before they violate our airspace," said Radosław Sikorski at a press conference.

"Please ask the military for details, but a certain operational limitation for our pilots is the concern not to harm anyone on the ground. Meanwhile, Ukraine asks us that if something is clearly approaching our borders and poses a direct threat to us, we could do it over their territory. I emphasize, this is a Ukrainian request; no decisions have been made," he continued.

– I emphasize in my statements that Putin mocks President Trump's peaceful efforts. Unfortunately, after the Alaska summit, instead of a ceasefire, we witnessed an intensification of Russian attacks on Ukraine, and what happened in Polish airspace last night is a spillover of this intensified offensive against Ukraine – said Radosław Sikorski at a press conference, when asked about his expectations from US allies.

– Since then, we also had a meeting of these authoritarian powers in Beijing, and we had a visit from Polish President Karol Nawrocki. Therefore, I expect that President Trump will want to demonstrate to Poland and all our authorities that what he said about Poland's security will be backed by actions – he continued.

– Today, we all face a significant challenge. This also applies to politicians, and I welcome this good communication, and what's more, cooperation – said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz in an interview with Monika Olejnik on 'Kropka nad i' on TVN24.

– [Between the President, and...] the Prime Minister, the government, the National Security Bureau (BBN), the Ministry of National Defence (MON), the military, and parliamentary forces, there is cooperation, communication, and understanding. Today, I spoke several times with the President, also before his conversation [...] with President Trump. Prime Minister Tusk also spoke several times – he continued.

– We expect a clear stance, just as the United States' support in this process is clear. Here, too, Gen. Grynkiewicz, Commander of U.S., combined, and allied forces in Europe, pledges far-reaching support – said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz on TVN24, when asked what Poland expects from President Trump.

– I believe that the strength of the United States, and President Trump's commitment to peace, as well as his resolve to defend every inch of territory – especially that of such a loyal ally as Poland – will be demonstrated in today's discussions – he continued.

– What would be Russia's greatest victory would be division within Poland and division within NATO. This is the strategy that is inextricably linked to the philosophy of neo-imperial Russia. Divide, and then it is easier to manipulate – said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz on TVN24.

– Such signals sometimes appear, and the fact that Belarus is also heavily involved in migratory pressure – which is negative, harmful, and dangerous for Poland – means this migratory pressure will also increase. They are probably trying to send some positive signal, and it's good that it sometimes appears and is worth appreciating, but the overall strategy does not change. They are so heavily subordinated to Russia that this does not cause a fundamental shift in the overall strategy of either the Russian Federation or Belarus – said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz on TVN24, when asked if he was surprised that Belarus had warned Poland about a possible drone attack.

– In 2003, after many attempts, Turkey activated Article 4. The war in Iraq was ongoing right next to Turkey, and then a special mission, a NATO operation, was established to reinforce Turkey's security.
