President Karol Nawrocki will be on a visit to Finland. At 9:00 AM Polish time, a welcoming ceremony by President Alexander Stubb is scheduled, followed by signing the guest book and a joint photo at 9:10 AM, and a meeting of the presidents in a restricted format at 9:15 AM.

Plenary talks between delegations will commence at 9:30 AM, and at 10:30 AM, a meeting with media representatives will take place. A working breakfast is scheduled for 11:00 AM, followed by a wreath-laying ceremony at the Cross of Heroes and Marshal C. G. Mannerheim's grave at 12:20 PM.

At 1:05 PM, President Nawrocki will meet with Parliament Speaker Jussi Halla-aho, and the final item on the agenda is a visit to the Merihaka civil defense shelter at 2:00 PM.

At 9:30 AM in the Sejm, a press conference will be held by Mariusz Błaszczak, chairman of the PiS parliamentary club, and MP Bartosz Kownacki.

At 12:00 PM, the first Sejm sitting after the summer recess will begin. Initially, parliamentary oaths and a brief voting block are scheduled. Subsequently, MPs will address several government bills from the so-called deregulation package as part of their second readings.

At 1:00 PM, a government sitting will commence. The agenda primarily includes the policy priorities of the Council of Ministers, along with a list of policy priorities for individual Council of Ministers members, as well as a draft bill on the heating voucher. This bill proposes extending the maximum electricity price mechanism for households to 500 PLN/MWh until the end of the year. The proposal also introduces the aforementioned heating voucher.

Ministers will also consider a draft amendment to certain acts concerning the verification of eligibility for family benefits for foreigners, and the conditions for assisting Ukrainian citizens in connection with the armed conflict in that country. In practice, this aims to link the right to the 800+ benefit for non-EU foreigners with their activity in the labor market.

– We take this signal seriously, we do not downplay it, although both the Polish government and treasury bonds reacted very calmly to this information [regarding the negative outlook for Poland's rating]. Rating agencies, of course, have been scrutinizing the economy for a long time; that is their job. They naturally observe that debt is gradually growing, but at the same time, everyone sees what the sources of this are – increasing expenditure on defence, on healthcare, and accelerating investments – stated Andrzej Domański in "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" on TVN24.

– It was very clearly stated in Fitch's communication that the President's vetoes were highlighted, and it was noted that he announces further vetoes of bills presented by the government. He also announces pay raises, increased expenditures, and tax cuts in the projects he plans to submit. This means the President is de facto planning actions that will increase the deficit, not reduce it, and I am all the more surprised by what seems to be his rather false concern regarding the state of public finances, which he expressed before the start of the Cabinet Council meeting. Because on the one hand, he states he is concerned about the state of public finances, while on the other, he submits draft bills that would significantly deteriorate that very state of public finances – stated Andrzej Domański in "Piasecki's Conversation" on TVN24.

– It is the government that governs, and it is the government that conducts economic policy. The Constitution is very clear when it comes to the prerogatives of the president and the tasks of the government, so there can be no question of striking a deal here – stated Andrzej Domański during 'Rozmowa Piaseckiego' on TVN24.

– What I can say is that there is still no announcement from the president – an announcement which, in my opinion, is crucial and highly significant – regarding the signing of the bill to raise Corporate Income Tax (CIT) for the banking sector. He continues to keep us in uncertainty, completely unnecessarily. We want to, and indeed must, repair public finances step by step following the PiS administration, – stated Andrzej Domański in "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" on TVN24.

– As was stated, there is no tax-free allowance in the 2026 budget. Of course, we are constantly analyzing the public finance situation and the budget, keeping that commitment in mind. At the same time, I would like to remind you that our government is fulfilling its electoral pledges step by step. We spoke about pay raises for teachers, 20% raises for the public sector, and a number of other programs that have been implemented – stated Andrzej Domański on TVN24's 'Piasecki's Conversation.'

– Also, looking at 2027, we will analyze the possibility of changes regarding the tax-free allowance – he continued.

– I certainly haven't heard such speculations [that he might take on the role of prime minister, should Donald Tusk withdraw]. I have a specific task to accomplish: taking care of the Polish economy, investments, and the stabilization of public finances. I am pleased that inflation has radically dropped under our government, and we are implementing a very ambitious plan for the repolonization of the Polish economy – stated Andrzej Domański in 'Piasecki's Conversation' on TVN24.

– There are no such speculations, there are no such discussions. I am very satisfied with the task I am performing – he continued.

– Yes, if it is justified – said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on the “Gość Radia ZET” program, when asked if the military should shoot down drones flying in from the east.

– Unlike, I suppose, my predecessor, I have complete trust in General Maciej Klisz, the Operational Commander of the Armed Forces branches […]. The Operational Commander, the entire air defense system, has to make a decision: whether shooting it down would cause greater or lesser consequences for the civilian population, or whether to leave it and observe – he continued.

– This is a difficult decision; it’s a decision requiring discernment and skill. I believe in the discernment and capabilities of our soldiers. I am surprised that my predecessor lacks this faith in the Polish Armed Forces – he went on to say.

– This is a decision for the military; after all, it's not you, nor even I, the Minister of Defense, who makes the decision, because we don't have a real-time picture of the situation – he added.

– That’s not true, because these systems are being used, but for a different purpose. The specifics of critical infrastructure protection primarily involve surveillance and protective tasks. Engagement and the use of specific effectors, however, is a separate matter – said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz on Radio ZET, when asked about Mariusz Błaszczak's claim that the current leadership of the Ministry of National Defense abandoned the modernization of SkyControl and withdrew the system from the border.

– When were the FA-50s armed? What planes did Mr. Błaszczak buy? Without armament, not even cleared for training flights. We are buying armament, and it will also be able to engage. Barbara aerostats provide surveillance from the ground up to several kilometers for very small objects, including very small, entirely commercial drones available on the market – he continued.

– All of this is being complemented. Unfortunately, we constantly face one hurdle to clear, and that is time, which we are battling. Every day, Poland is safer and stronger, but every month we still need time to deliver the equipment I ordered and to build the drone forces we are developing. If my predecessor had started doing this, it would be easier for us, but he didn't – he added.

– No, an independent start will be in the next elections – said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz on Radio ZET, asked if only running on Civic Platform (PO) lists would save the PSL.

– Yes – he continued, asked if he could say with 200% certainty that the PSL would run independently in the elections.

– This stage has been concluded, we fulfilled our agreement with each other, each of us is going our own way – he went on, pressed about a possible reactivation of the Third Way coalition in light of the weak poll results for both PSL and Poland 2050.

– I will say even more [...] we will be a key player on the political scene – he added, asked if he was certain the PSL would cross the electoral threshold.

– We will not run on Civic Platform lists – he emphasized.

– Of course, the partner for talks between the Department of Defense – or indeed, the Department of War – between the Pentagon and Poland's MoD, its equivalent in Poland, is the MoD, and the best proof of this is the most frequent meetings among all ministers in the world, official visits between me and Pete Hegseth – said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz on Radio ZET.

– An official visit to Poland first, then, three months later, an invitation to the Pentagon. You won't find another minister like this in the world, and certainly not in NATO countries, who would have such good relations with their American counterpart. I know this doesn't please everyone – he continued.

– We even spent Valentine's Day dinner together with our wives – he added, when asked if they were friends.

– It is underway, I think the Cabinet Council meeting was a very good moment where we could show that security and an ambitious Poland are our program – said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz on Radio ZET, when asked if there would be any autumn offensive by the government.

– It seems to me that yes [we won that clash], this is best illustrated by polls regarding the energy bill, which the president vetoed [...] where approval ratings grew day by day in favor of the government – he continued.

– I am very pleased that President Karol Nawrocki is so dynamic when it comes to fulfilling his presidential duties. That's precisely what the June 1st elections were about – whether Karol Nawrocki would become president, who has excellent relations with President Trump, and those relations could be utilized for the good of our homeland, including for Poland's security, or Rafał Trzaskowski, Donald Tusk's deputy, who does not have those relations – said Mariusz Błaszczak in an interview with Jacek Prusinowski on Radio Plus's 'Sedno Sprawy' (The Crux of the Matter).

– The situation is changing, and I hope it doesn't change in a way that Donald Tusk's government abandons its policy of supporting President Nawrocki. There is a certain threat here, I see a threat here, because Radosław Sikorski's attitude suggests that this support for President Nawrocki will not be forthcoming – Mariusz Błaszczak said on "Sedno Sprawy" on Radio Plus.

– Please pay attention to this instruction for President Nawrocki. Firstly, it is highly inappropriate to send instructions to the president. That's not how it's done. Radosław Sikorski, this man is 62 years old, but he behaves as if he were 12. He records videos on social media and said he sent instructions to President Nawrocki. Maybe he should send this instruction to President Trump? He claimed to have such excellent relations with the United States; this myth has burst before our eyes – he continued.

– Undoubtedly, the issue of reparations needs to be raised. President Karol Nawrocki spoke about this during his speech at Westerplatte. He also recalled it while speaking on September 1st, also in the afternoon, in Wieluń. It is not the case that this topic is politically closed. – It certainly should not be closed for us, for Poles, and we should definitely demand reparations from the German authorities – he continued.

– Perhaps I will surprise you a bit, because I will no longer dwell on Minister Sikorski, absolutely, I have no such intention. That has passed, that dust has settled. I will remind you, because it is completely untrue, but I will remind you that, first and foremost, the Polish constitution, and I will address this very seriously now, Article 133 of the Constitution clearly states that the Polish President and the Polish government are to cooperate in the field of foreign policy – he continued.

– We must not get used to threats. Threats must not be underestimated, because although no tragedy has occurred so far, a tragedy could happen if such a drone hits buildings; everything could end tragically. On the one hand, this concerns the most important issue – human life – but on the other hand, it concerns the prestige of our country. We cannot allow Poland's airspace to be violated with impunity by those who commit such provocations – stated Mariusz Błaszczak at a press conference in the Sejm.

We demand that funds from the [SAFE] fund be allocated to building a drone factory. A drone factory modeled after those used by Ukraine in its fight against Russia. In Ukraine, over 150 types of various drones are used in combat. The most effective defense is to demonstrate capabilities – because this is about deterrence – by deploying a swarm of drones against a swarm of drones that could threaten our country's security – he continued.

– Another demand we are addressing to the Ministry of National Defense (MON) is for this system to be deployed in the east of our country, to protect the residents of Lubelskie and Podlaskie voivodeships from the threat of drone attacks. These are our demands; we will insist on an appropriate response from the government of the December 13th coalition – noted the head of the PiS parliamentary club.

– We agreed with the President that the only leader of the free world who can compel Vladimir Putin to negotiate is Donald Trump. Therefore, I am very pleased that, beyond historical issues and experiences with Russia, what also brings us closer is our approach to the United States, and primarily, the United States' approach to Poland and Finland – said President Karol Nawrocki in Helsinki, at a joint press conference with Finnish President Alexander Stubb.

– We are not only partners in the EU, in bilateral relations, […] but above all, we are allies. – I also wanted, thanks to the openness of Mr. President, to clearly indicate our priorities as Poland and my priorities as President of Poland. The Baltic Sea region and relations with Finland are very important to Poland – he indicated.

Indeed, civil defense in Finland and the number of reservists, Finland's readiness to defend itself, and also the longest border with Russia […], as well as our shared history […] show that both Poles and Finns know the Russian soul and Vladimir Putin perfectly well – he emphasized.

– Both I and Mr. President, of course, do not trust Vladimir Putin's good intentions. […] We are convinced that Vladimir Putin is ready to strike at other countries, which is why we are developing our armed forces and partnership – stated the President of the Republic of Poland.
