Bosak:

The Rulers Are Leading Us Nowhere. Commanders Try, But Face Rigid Decision-Making Rules

- In my opinion, the rulers are not leading us in any direction. Commanders are trying to lead us, but they have very rigid decision-making rules and their hands are tied when it comes to finances. In my opinion, the highest commanders of the Armed Forces in Poland do not have the funds at their disposal to equip the army with the most essential items - stated Krzysztof Bosak in "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" on TVN24.

07:49

Bosak:

We can be satisfied with our allies' reactions

- We can also be satisfied with the reactions of our allies, who joined this defensive operation. Cooperation, which is not at all obvious, went smoothly, as far as we know, harmoniously, in the sense that all coordination procedures, where we have aircraft operating from many different nationalities, NATO command structures, Polish structures, something can always... However, all of this worked correctly. What's more, we have a lot of declarations of further support, and that's good - stated Krzysztof Bosak in "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" on TVN24.

07:54

Bosak:

Conspiracy theories that have emerged in Poland are unrealistic to the extent that...

- I [don't have any complaints against Ukrainians]. Especially since they were attacked with over 400 drones and missiles simultaneously. They were launched from various directions, and this is one of many attacks they have been subjected to. Expecting a state that regularly experiences air raids to shoot down everything when it lacks air defense is unrealistic, and the conspiracy theories that have appeared in Poland, suggesting Ukraine intentionally let them pass over Poland so that we would be hit, are, in my opinion, unrealistic to the extent that they assume complete control over the aerial situation by a state that does not control its airspace - stated Krzysztof Bosak in TVN24's "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" (Piasecki's Conversation).

07:58

Bosak on Zajączkowska-Hernik's Words:

We Have the Right to Disagree. Our Politicians Don't Stick to Party Lines, They Say What They Think.

- I don't think they [European politicians are whipping up pro-war hysteria because they want to drag Poland into the war in Ukraine]. It seems to me that we have the right to disagree [with Ewa Zajączkowska-Hernik]; we in Konfederacja highly value freedom of speech. We started from the premise that our politicians don't operate on party messages, but rather say what they think - stated Krzysztof Bosak in "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" on TVN24.

08:01

Bosak:

We Need Unity Around Strengthening Our State's Defense System

- We don't need unity around these kinds of assessments. We need unity around a completely different matter, namely around strengthening our state's defense system. And here I draw attention to this, here there is no unity. There are even lies here, for example that we have a partially built, under construction, anti-drone protection system, or that we even had one, which is simply untrue - stated Krzysztof Bosak in "Piasecki's Conversation" on TVN24.

08:07

"I Rule That Out." Bosak Asked About "Moscow's Paid Idiots in Confederation"

- We can agree [that there are Moscow's useful idiots in Europe]. There are probably also [Moscow's paid idiots]. I rule out [that Moscow's paid idiots are in Confederation]. I also rule out [that they are among former Confederation politicians]. I believe that sometimes some of our former politicians expressed controversial opinions, I spent a lot of time in internal discussion with them as well, on how to talk about Russia, about Ukraine, about the threat, about the war - stated Krzysztof Bosak in "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" on TVN24.

08:10

Bosak:

Many Right-Wing, Eurosceptic, National Leaders Have Adjusted Their Stance Towards Russia

- Adjustments have been made to the [stance towards Russia] of many right-wing leaders, let's call them eurosceptic, eurocritical, national, sovereignty-oriented right-wing. In my opinion, none of them is expressing a pro-Russian stance - stated Krzysztof Bosak in "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" on TVN24.

Air Attack Warning SMSs. Błaszczak: There Was No Threat. It Was a Nervous Reaction, This Is Not How It's Done

- The problem is that there was no threat. That this SMS was published, and it turned out there was no threat, and that is dangerous in that if a threat does occur, and an SMS should then also be published, there will not be a proper reaction - said Mariusz Błaszczak in an interview with Marcin Fijołek on "Graffiti" Polsat News, when asked about SMS messages warning of an air attack.

- Such a threat has existed for many years, and it turns out that when the threat was real on the night of the 9th to the 10th, the SMS messages were delayed - he continued.

- I believe this was a nervous reaction, because first an SMS was not sent, on the night of the 9th to the 10th, so now, as it were, it was decided to send an SMS, even though the threat was unlikely - he went on to say.

- This is not how it's done, this is an action that undermines public trust, society's trust in the authorities - he added.

How to Distinguish Sirens and How an Alarm Signal Works? Błaszczak: 'Of Course, We Don't Know'

- "The alarm signal is, of course, we don't know, we don't know how it works. The alarm signal represents the omissions related to the disregard for matters concerning defense," said Mariusz Błaszczak on Polsat News, when asked if he knew how to distinguish alarm sirens, OSP (Volunteer Fire Department) sirens, all-clear sirens, and how an alarm signal works.

08:16

Błaszczak:

SkyControl System Needs Modernization and Deployment on the Eastern Border

- The SkyControl system, which I acquired for the Polish army, needs to be deployed on the eastern border and modernized beforehand. Modernizations in this field are necessary practically every year - stated Mariusz Błaszczak on Polsat News.

Trump's 'Mistake' Remark on Russian Drones: Błaszczak Disagrees, but Praises US Support and Peace Efforts

"The full statement sounded a bit different – that he is dissatisfied, that it might be [a mistake], and that he is dissatisfied. No, I don't agree, but I appreciate that the United States is working to end this war. They are doing so by supporting Poland," Mariusz Błaszczak told Polsat News, when asked if he would agree with Donald Trump that drones violating Polish airspace could have been a mistake.

"There are 10,000 American soldiers stationed on Polish soil; Polish-American cooperation is key to deterring the aggressor. However, we still need to work towards the establishment of 'Fort Trump' in Poland," he continued.

08:38

Sikorski on Sanctions Against Russia:

Nawrocki's Special Ties with Trump Ought to Yield Practical Results.

"President Karol Nawrocki appealed for sanctions. I hope that these special relations he has with President Trump will have practical results..." said Radosław Sikorski on TOK FM's 'Morning Show,' when asked about Donald Trump's statement that he is ready to impose tougher sanctions on Russia if NATO countries stop buying its oil.

"You are being mischievous, Mr. Prime Minister. You are suggesting that Karol Nawrocki is not effective in his relations with Donald Trump," stated Dominika Wielowieyska.

"I am suggesting that these special relations should have a practical outcome, yes. And I am suggesting that President Trump announced the imposition of sanctions on Russia already in August," replied the Foreign Minister.

08:38

Błaszczak:

It's Clear Mentzen Isn't Interested in Programmatic Cooperation. Konfederacja Exposes its Incompetence and Lack of Maturity

"No, we consistently say that we don't want power for power's sake; we want power to implement our program," said Mariusz Błaszczak on Polsat News, when asked about Jarosław Kaczyński's comments regarding Sławomir Mentzen, specifically whether PiS isn't closing coalition doors too quickly and repeating the mistake of 2023.

"Our programmatic principles, those 10 points, were presented by the leader of Law and Justice, Prime Minister Jarosław Kaczyński. Among these 10 points, the first was the declaration: no coalition with Donald Tusk. As is evident, Konfederacja does not rule out a coalition with Donald Tusk," he continued.

"It's clear that he is not interested in programmatic cooperation. If that's the case, then such cooperation, not based on a shared message, leads nowhere. Donald Tusk's government – they are only together because they are united by '8 stars,' which means hatred for Law and Justice, nothing more; that leads to nothing good," he added, asked about Sławomir Mentzen's post, "Kaczyński is right about one thing, we are indeed on opposite sides of the barricade."

"No, I believe that through such actions, they expose their incompetence and lack of maturity," he concluded.

08:50

Russian Drones 'A Mistake'? Sikorski: 'I don't know on what basis the US makes its assessments. We have our military's evaluations.'

"I don't know on what basis the American side makes its assessments. We have our own, Polish assessments. Assessments from our operational center, the operational command of the armed forces, our air force," said Radosław Sikorski on Poranek TOK FM, when asked about Donald Trump's statement that drones violating Polish airspace could have been a mistake.

"Mistakes happen, agreed. We remember the missile that Minister Błaszczak couldn't find, we remember previous drone incursions. But 19 mistakes in a single night? That's hard to believe, especially since the aerial battle lasted 7 hours," he noted.

Sikorski Reveals Topics of Talks with Chinese Foreign Minister:

I Expect Understanding on This Matter.

- I am very pleased with the visit of the Chinese Foreign Minister to Poland. […] We have bilateral issues, such as the export of Polish food to China, and other trade matters. We have matters related to the UN agenda; the so-called UNGA, or General Assembly, begins next week. But I expect that our talks will be dominated by Russian aggression in Ukraine — said Radosław Sikorski on Poranek TOK FM.

Responding to the suggestion that China might be disappointed that Poland closed its border with Belarus, through which a Chinese trade route to Europe runs, he replied: - This is a very important topic, which if he doesn't raise, I will. As we know, this is an important route, and at the same time, a Russian-Belarusian hybrid operation against Poland is being conducted on this border.

He noted: - I expect understanding from China regarding the suffering of our border region, that Poland has already spent half a billion euros on a large, substantial fence on the border, and that we must maintain additional Border Guard forces, police, and military. All of this costs us.

- If the border is to be passable, there must be peace on both sides. […] China is a trading power, so an uninterrupted, fastest route between China and Europe is in mutual interest. Furthermore, China declares its commitment to the principles of national sovereignty, and pushing migrants across the border is a violation of sovereignty — he pointed out.

09:43

Sikorski:

It's Honest to Tell the Nation We Won't Get Reparations. We're Morally Owed Them, But the Legal Situation Is Hopeless

- I wish [Karol Nawrocki] good luck [in obtaining reparations from Germany]. President Andrzej Duda didn't succeed for 10 years. PiS talked about it repeatedly for 8 years, yet didn't even mention reparations in the note, - said Radosław Sikorski on TOK FM's Morning Show.

- These are two kinds of patriotism. We believe that since the Soviet Union appropriated the reparations granted to us in Potsdam, and since, of course, we are morally owed them, but the legal situation is not good, in fact, it's hopeless, then it is honest towards the nation to say that, unfortunately, we will not receive reparations. While others believe it's politically more effective to give people false hopes, - he stated.

Trillions of Zlotys to Be Spent on Polish Energy in 10 Years. Tusk: "I See Every Reason for These Funds to Remain in Poland."

- Listen, within 10 years, we will be spending trillions of zlotys on Polish energy. And this is our money. That is, the money of the Polish taxpayer, Polish companies, the Polish budget, and I see no reason – in fact, I see every reason – for this money to remain, wherever possible, in Poland, with Polish companies - stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk during the "Energy from Poland - Local First" Forum.

- It cannot be, as it has been for years, not only in Poland, that those who invest public money in ventures such as offshore wind farms, a nuclear power plant, or arms purchases, do not take into account this patriotic dimension – not to revel in the word itself, but because that is also what constitutes national business and national interest - he continued.

- It would be utter foolishness if, when making decisions concerning such a scale – with public procurement alone set to reach 580 billion zlotys in 2024, funds belonging to Poles and spent in this investment process on company operations and activities – we did not ensure that these monies, to the maximum extent possible, went to Polish companies. We must do everything, and there is no exaggeration in this, to make that happen - added the head of government.

Siemoniak Asked About What Hit a House in Wyryki:

I Can't Talk About It. The Appropriate Institutions Are There to Convey Such Information.

- The prosecutor's office is operating, the military police are operating; there are certain assumptions, but I don't want to preempt what the investigators will say, what the military will say - stated Tomasz Siemoniak in an interview with Jacek Prusinowski on Radio Plus's 'Sedno Sprawy' program, when asked what fell on a house in Wyryki—a drone or fragments of a missile fired at a drone.

- But I cannot speak about this [...] the military is operating, the prosecutor's office is operating - he continued, after the host's remark that an expert would likely ascertain it within 5 minutes or 10 seconds.

- Yes [I know about it], that is, we are, after all, working - he continued.

- As I said, the appropriate institutions are there to convey such information; this has various significant consequences, so I am very cautious in such matters - he added, pressed on why he couldn't say.

- In such matters, a certain informational restraint is needed, and yes, I think we should draw conclusions for the future from last week's lesson, and for instance, the swift provision of information on where something fell, what it looks like, those photos – we should consider this very carefully - he emphasized.

10:29

"The carefree spending of Polish money beyond the borders of our economy, our state, is coming to an end."Tusk: This meeting is meant to be a signal.

- This meeting is also meant to be a signal for everyone else, both state officials and companies with State Treasury participation, but also our partners across the entire private Polish business sector, that this carefree spending of Polish money beyond the borders of our economy, our state, is coming to an end - stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk during the "Energy from Poland - Local First" Forum.

10:29

Siemoniak:

We Can Expect the Worst and Must Be Prepared for It

- We must reckon with various negative eventualities. Special services, the military, and state agencies are there to be prepared for adverse scenarios; if good ones emerge, then they'll simply be good. Russia has demonstrated this through the drone incursion, the violation of Polish airspace, and there have also been past incidents involving missiles and acts of sabotage - said Tomasz Siemoniak on Radio Plus.

- We can expect the worst and must be prepared for it, while also being flexible. This means something might recur, or it might not; there could be an entirely different kind of hybrid attack. We have the situation on the Polish-Belarusian border - he continued.

- Yes, definitely [the risk of acts of sabotage is greater than in recent months]. We are in a state of full readiness for various eventualities; that night from Tuesday to Wednesday last week was a turning point - he went on to say.

10:38

"You Can Count on Me." Tusk to Polish Entrepreneurs: No One Will Exploit Poles Ever Again

- We live in a world of cutthroat competition and in a world where aggressive powers are preparing for events that are very unsettling to us. Therefore, this choice – it is not simple, because it is not easy, but it is obvious in a political, logical, moral, and patriotic sense. All hands on deck. All Polish companies will be able to count not on a protective umbrella, because they must manage on their own, and I know you believe in your strength, but they cannot be discriminated against in any way simply because of how the history of recent years has unfolded - stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk during the "Energy from Poland - Local First" Forum.

- You can count on me, and here I address all, without exception, Polish entrepreneurs. I am genuinely obsessed with this point: no one will exploit Poles ever again, or use Polish public money for next to nothing. No one will outmaneuver or bypass Polish contractors. This is definitively coming to an end, and this means that the white-and-red chapter begins for Polish entrepreneurs and Polish companies - he continued.

10:41

Siemoniak:

Cenckiewicz Lacks Classified Access – Security Clearance Not a Judicial Decision

- He does not have access to classified information, and here the Internal Security Agency and the Military Counterintelligence Service hold a unified position - said Tomasz Siemoniak on Radio Plus, when asked whether Sławomir Cenckiewicz has access to classified information.

- Of course, it's not the court that decides, and there has never been such a practice, even during PiS rule, that a court ruling determines access. Leaving aside the fact that the judgment is non-final, that a cassation appeal has been filed, so there's still a long way to go to a legally binding court judgment, but it's not the court that decides - he continued.

- The court points out errors made by the service, and that is the nature of this judgment; however, the court does not automatically reinstate such clearances. If we were to adopt such a principle, it would be extremely dangerous for state security - he went on.

- It is very clearly stated in the Act on the Protection of Classified Information that the protection of classified information takes precedence over other regulations, including administrative proceedings in this case, so lawyers have no doubts - he added.

- The court supervises, but the court does not decide who holds a security clearance - he pointed out.

- The service grants the clearance and, of course, respects the court's judgment, and will likely have to restart the procedure in such a case. Furthermore, in the case of the Head of the National Security Bureau (BBN), we have a situation of accusations of disclosing classified information, which would automatically revoke any potential clearance if he were to apply for one - he stated.

One Year On, Kierwiński Reviews State Flood Relief:

Over PLN 8 Billion.

"The scale of this aid, which the state provided – Prime Minister Donald Tusk's government – amounts to over 8 billion zlotys, which went to flood-affected areas through nearly 30 support instruments, concerning the funds we launched," said Marcin Kierwiński at a press conference.

As the head of the Ministry of Interior and Administration emphasized: "Never before in the history of natural disasters in Poland – and floods have occurred several times, even in those areas – has this aid been so extensive, so comprehensive, and so broad. Never before has it covered so many areas of activity: including support for individual residents, assistance for educational institutions, infrastructural support, and aid for local governments."

13:10

Kierwiński responds to Błaszczak's morning remarks:

A more damning self-indictment is hard to imagine.

- The eight years of our predecessors was a system of dismantling civil protection and civil defense. There were no solutions in this area. We have implemented a law that comprehensively regulates these issues. What does this mean? It means that we are now, in an accelerated manner, upgrading and adapting this civil protection system – one that should have been built over many years – to the challenges of today's world. Hence the record investments; this year alone, we intend to spend nearly 5 billion [złoty] on direct infrastructure support - said Marcin Kierwiński at a press conference.

- Today, on one of the television stations, Polsat, I listened to Mr. Błaszczak [...], who for eight years served as Minister of Interior and Administration, and then Minister of National Defense, and Deputy Prime Minister for Security Affairs. And today he says: 'I don't know how the warning system works.' I must say, I don't know if there can be a more damning indictment of oneself - he assessed, referring to Mariusz Błaszczak's statement from 'Graffiti.'

- And then he says: 'We have many years of neglect.' Well yes, we do, if for eight years civil protection was being dismantled and provisions regarding civil protection were being deleted from laws, then yes - we have neglect, and we are catching up on that neglect from day one [...] - he pointed out.

14:17

Bielan:

Tusk Was the Most Pro-Russian Prime Minister in Polish History

- Tusk was the most pro-Russian prime minister in Polish history, even though we had many post-communists in that position, but he governed for a very long time. It was Tusk whom the Russian press — rightly — called their Russian man in Warsaw — stated Adam Bielan on wPolsce24.

- It is evident that some Poles believe that PiS, led by Jarosław Kaczyński, whose brother died in Smoleńsk, is a pro-Russian camp, while Tusk, who fraternized with Putin and implemented Europe's first reset with the Russian leader, is an anti-Russian group — he continued.

14:19

Bielan:

We Need to Reach the Majority of Poles Who Aren't Interested in Politics

- I call such staunch supporters of Tusk, 'Tuskoids.' These are people impervious to any substantive arguments. It's worth discussing with everyone, but perhaps with them, it no longer makes much sense. However, we must, of course, reach out to that majority of Poles who are not interested in politics on a daily basis, who have a somewhat shorter memory, who don't remember that Tusk was Russia's man in Warsaw - stated Adam Bielan on wPolsce24.

14:25

Bielan:

We are witnessing the decline of Tusk

- I have been saying since the presidential election that we are witnessing the decline of Tusk. Tusk lost the presidential election, arguably the most important election of his life. In Poland, one cannot govern against the president in the long run. This coalition has painfully learned this when the president refused to sign several laws - stated Adam Bielan in wPolsce24.

14:27

Bielan:

Tusk Will Soon Cease to Be Prime Minister

- "The majority is very shaky, it is very broad, consisting of many larger and smaller parties. Any of them could betray him at any moment, and facing opposition from the president and lacking the ability to override a presidential veto, he will soon depart. The question is whether he resigns on his own initiative, or if he appoints someone from within his own camp as Prime Minister, or if his coalition partners betray him. Either way, Tusk will soon cease to be Prime Minister," stated Adam Bielan on wPolsce24.

14:31

Bielan:

Confederation Leaders Won't Directly Answer Whether They Want to Uphold Tusk's Arrangement

- Unfortunately, Confederation leaders do not want to directly answer the question of whether they are ready to form a coalition with Civic Platform (PO) or if they want to uphold Tusk's arrangement, should he lack – and he certainly will lack – the votes to maintain a majority after the parliamentary elections. From our point of view, this is a fundamental issue - stated Adam Bielan on wPolsce24.

15:02

Bielan:

Trump told us he was losing patience with the Russian leader and intended to impose 'very harsh sanctions'

- Trump said this publicly; he also told us this at a closed-door meeting, although I don't want to quote exactly what he told us. However, he also stated publicly that he was losing patience with the Russian leader and that at some point he would want to introduce very severe sanctions, even harsher than those currently in force, - stated Adam Bielan on wPolsce24.

15:25

Wroński on Why Sikorski’s and the Chinese Foreign Minister’s Conference Was Canceled:

I Want to Stop Speculation.

- There were no planned press statements. To immediately stop any speculation, the request from the Chinese side stemmed from the fact that Minister Wang Yi wanted to have a longer conversation with Minister Radosław Sikorski. This conversation lasted from 11 AM to 2 PM, which is a very long time - said Paweł Wroński at a press conference following the meeting between Radosław Sikorski and the head of Chinese diplomacy, Wang Yi.

15:31

MFA Spokesperson on Sikorski-Wang Yi Meeting: 'Very Long, Sincere, and Friendly'

"The conversation lasted from 11 AM to 2 PM, so it was very long. It was a very concrete, very sincere, and very friendly discussion. This is the fourth time the ministers have met. Although this is an official visit after a six-year hiatus, they know each other well and have spoken multiple times," said Paweł Wroński at a press conference following the meeting between Radosław Sikorski and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.

15:44

Wroński on Sikorski's Request to Ambassador Kumoch:

The President Has the Latest Information.

"At the end of this conversation, Minister Sikorski asked Ambassador Jakub Kumoch to go to President Karol Nawrocki and report to him on the course of the visit," Paweł Wroński said at a press conference after Radosław Sikorski's meeting with the head of Chinese diplomacy, Wang Yi.

"Currently, China's Minister of Foreign Affairs is with President Karol Nawrocki, and the President has the latest information," he pointed out.

"So you see that, at least in this matter, cooperation between the government and the president is going very well," he added.

15:49

Wroński:

China's FM Highlights Poland's Growing Importance in Europe

- It was significant that once again, Poland and China expressed mutual interest in high-level dialogue. China is a very important state, a major power, and it was very pleasing that during the conversation, Minister Wang Yi emphasized that Poland is a country whose importance in this part of Europe, and in Europe as a whole, is growing, and that is why this dialogue is being conducted and continued. It was held in the format of an intergovernmental committee chaired by both ministers - said Paweł Wroński at a press conference after the meeting between Radosław Sikorski and China's chief diplomat, Wang Yi.

15:55

Wroński Reports on Sikorski's Meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister:

We Highlighted Russia's Destructive Actions.

- Poland and China adopted joint conclusions, emphasizing support for the international order based on fundamental principles of international law and the United Nations Charter, and recalling that respect for territorial sovereignty is the foundation of the UN Charter. These values should guide the development of a lasting peace in Ukraine - said Paweł Wroński at a press conference after the meeting between Radosław Sikorski and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.

- We drew our Chinese partners' attention to Russia's destructive actions. […] And we hope that these actions involving Moscow and Minsk will also find countermeasures from the Chinese side - he indicated.

16:00

Wroński:

Chinese Side Informed of Drone Incursion into Polish Airspace

- The conversation, of course, also concerned the incursion of drones into Polish airspace. The Chinese side was informed about this. Minister [Radosław Sikorski] made it clear that it is difficult to speak of an error here. The Polish position in this case is clear: it was an attempt to test Poland's reaction, the reaction of the entire NATO to such incidents - said Paweł Wroński at a press conference following the meeting between Radosław Sikorski and the head of Chinese diplomacy, Wang Yi.

16:07

Wroński on Closing the Border with Belarus:

Poland Notified China that This is a Costly Decision for Poland, but We Had to Make It.

- A significant portion of the conversation concerned relations with Belarus and the issue of closing [border] crossings. Poland notified China that this is not a favorable situation for us. We are making a decision that is also costly for Poland, but our country must make this decision due to repeated provocations from the Belarusian side, the ongoing hybrid war, and the difficulty of conducting free trade when the border is not a secure border - said Paweł Wroński at a press conference after the meeting between Radosław Sikorski and the head of Chinese diplomacy, Wang Yi.

16:11

Wroński:

China to Back Poland's G20 Membership Proposal

- A declaration was made by China that, should a proposal for Poland to join the G20 group be put forward, China will support this proposal - said Paweł Wroński at a press conference after Radosław Sikorski's meeting with the head of Chinese diplomacy, Wang Yi.

16:20

Wroński Confirms: Sikorski Accepts Invitation to Visit China

"An invitation was extended by the Chinese side for Deputy Prime Minister Radosław Sikorski to visit the People's Republic of China. The invitation has been accepted," Paweł Wroński said at a press conference following Radosław Sikorski's meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.

17:01

Wroński on Nawrocki's Germany Trip:

We Expect the President's Visit to Be Successful.

- We expect this visit to be successful for the President. We wish him well and hope he successfully addresses the matters he intends to pursue there. That is why the Ministry of Foreign Affairs provides full support to the Head of State, the President of the Republic of Poland, - said Paweł Wroński at a press conference, when asked about Karol Nawrocki's visit to Germany.

17:11

Kaczyński Rules Out Polexit: 'Some Don't Realize the Consequences'

- The question is what to do at a time when the union is planning very far-reaching changes, including new treaties – this is already an ongoing, one might say, advanced process. At the same time, we are experiencing many different kinds of, one might put it quite mildly, ailments connected with our membership in the union - Jarosław Kaczyński said in Krakow.

- These ailments are by no means such that they should lead us to the conclusion that we should not be in the union; that is not what this is about. Although I know there are those who advocate for it, I believe they do not realize what the consequences of such a move would be for us right now in various fields - he continued.

- But that doesn't mean we should say, 'well, nothing can be done' - he added.

17:39

"We Must Go in This Direction": Kaczyński on the "Special Status" of Certain EU States and "Preserving Sovereignty"

"What I am about to discuss is largely his [Patryk Jaki's] inspiration, one could say, his idea. But in my opinion, I had no doubt about it from the moment I heard it – it's a good idea, one worth developing. I believe we must go in this direction, which I will elaborate on shortly," said Jarosław Kaczyński in Krakow.

"First and foremost, we need to find some basis, some foundation within the organizational structure and legal order of the European Union, something to latch onto, because this shouldn't be an entirely new idea, one could say, exotic from the EU's perspective. It's best to refer to what already exists, and something like what we are currently thinking about – at least many people in our party are thinking about – already exists within the Union," he continued.

"This is a certain special status, a status that two countries have acquired so far, quite some time ago actually, and which is guaranteed by an institution called 'opt-out,' meaning the exemption of certain states from obligations, allowing them to retain their sovereignty in areas where other states cede that sovereignty to EU authorities," he went on.

"On one hand, there is Denmark, and on the other hand, there is Ireland. These are different cases [...]. We have these treaties. The question of the final two stages concerning the adoption of treaties is already present. There's a question I'll pose here, without knowing the full answer: can one, for instance, join the Danish protocol – I think it's number 20 or 22, I don't remember – or not?" he added.

17:42

Kaczyński:

The US Is Not an Easy Ally, But It Doesn't Demand We Surrender Our State

- Some ask: why are you so focused on the United States? Well, for two reasons; one is commonly known. That reason is simply that they possess power. They are the only ones who have the power that the Russians must reckon with, and indeed do reckon with, in every sense of the word, - said Jarosław Kaczyński in Krakow.

- But the second reason is this. It is not an easy ally; I have experienced this firsthand and know it perfectly well. But it is an ally that does not demand we surrender our state. And others demand that from us, - he stated.

17:49

Kaczyński:

"Everything Must Be Done to Change This Government"

- The point is that in these difficult times – difficult within the EU, difficult in a wartime world [...], we must be able to cope. But you might ask: alright, but how can we cope if we have such a government? Let me tell you this: with such a government, we won't make it. Everything must be done to change this government - said Jarosław Kaczyński in Krakow.

17:57

Kaczyński:

Regressive Taxes Are "The Way to Liquidate the Polish State," Warning of "Deep Crisis" Like in the US

- [The PiS program] is being attacked due to details that bothered people who believe that regressive taxes should exist in Poland, meaning the more one earns, the less tax one pays. Esteemed ladies and gentlemen, this does not exist anywhere in the world. When Korwin-Mikke was asked where his ideas are being implemented, he said it was in the Virgin Islands, - Jarosław Kaczyński said in Krakow.

- That's just a tiny, minuscule, less-than-a-per-mille fraction of what exists on Earth. Everywhere else it's different. The higher one's income, the higher percentage of that income one must pay. This is a principle that is both just and has enabled the construction of the welfare state, - he continued.

- Without this sharing, you must remember one thing: it will lead to a deep crisis, such as the one currently in the United States. This is a deep crisis of society, precisely because some have skyrocketed, while others don't even have enough to fix a tooth [...] despite working [...] their earnings have not increased at all since the 1970s, while the earnings and incomes of others have increased tens, and often even hundreds of times, - he continued.

- This cannot happen in Poland, because it is simply a plan to break apart Polish society; if someone in Moscow or Berlin were to devise a way to liquidate the Polish state, this would be the path, - he added.

18:05

Kaczyński Slams Mentzen and His Party: 'If They Tried to Implement What They Preach, Poland Would Immediately Collapse'

- Even if someone didn't know this from the start, because they aren't truly invested, deeply knowledgeable, or living and breathing Polish politics [...], today, based on such obvious signs, one must realize that the Confederation, particularly a significant part of it – specifically New Hope, and I'm also referring to Mentzen here – advocates something I just spoke about: precisely such a vision for Poland that would immediately fall apart if one were to try to implement it, Jarosław Kaczyński stated in Krakow.

- Paid healthcare, […] paid education, […] total privatization, as if there wasn't enough of it already, he enumerated.

18:21

Kaczyński:

Mentzen Believes State Forests Should Be Privatized

- This was already conveyed in a private conversation, but I believe I have the right to repeat it, even though it wasn't a conversation with me, but it was passed on to me by a completely reliable person – the privatization of, for example, State Forests. Perhaps you remember that struggle; I also participated in it, serving as a representative of foresters in the Sejm, to prevent the privatization of State Forests. According to Mr. Mentzen, they must be privatized, said Jarosław Kaczyński in Krakow.

- This means we lose not only enormous financial value [...], but also a certain kind of freedom. In very many Western countries [...], forests are simply closed, private, and access is forbidden. [...] Do you want this in Poland? Well, I don't know if anyone in their right mind would want that, he stated.

18:24

Kaczyński on Mentzen: 'There's No Ally Here'

– Here [when it comes to Sławomir Mentzen], there is no ally. They also clearly state that they are ready to form an alliance with PO. Does anyone in this room believe that with PO, with citizen Tusk, one can act for the benefit of Poland? – Jarosław Kaczyński said in Krakow.

18:37

Kaczyński on Bosak: 'He also, unfortunately, states they're ready for an alliance with Civic Platform (PO).'

- As for the nationalist leader [in Konfederacja], Mr. Bosak, he is more moderate in this context. But he also, unfortunately, says that they are ready to form an alliance also with Civic Platform. So, he also needs to be asked whether he wants to act for Poland, or for his own career and personal interests? For this is a fundamental question: what does a politician act for? - said Jarosław Kaczyński in Kraków, continuing the theme from his previous statement regarding Sławomir Mentzen.

18:54

Bogucki:

'Cenckiewicz Has Full Access to All Classified Information'

- The spokesperson's statements are not a source of law and are not revealed truth. The matter is very simple: there is a WSA (Voivodeship Administrative Court) ruling, which has, of course, been appealed and is not yet legally binding - stated Zbigniew Bogucki on Radio Zet.

- It's unbelievable for a representative of the government, of an important service, to state that this important service is exempt from judicial review. That this service can decide as it pleases, according to its own whim, whether someone will have access to classified information or not. There is a clear provision of the Act on Proceedings before Administrative Courts. In a case like this, the decision remains legally valid but without legal effect - he continued.

- Professor Cenckiewicz has full access to all classified information, up to the 'Top Secret' classification - noted the head of the Presidential Chancellery.

19:43

Kaczyński:

There's a Positive Surge in Our Nation

"There is in our nation, our society, a certain surge, a positive surge after June 1st, after that great victory which showed the way. But we must follow this path amidst the very many troubles that we face," – Jarosław Kaczyński stated in Kielce.

20:05

Kaczyński:

Today's Great Public Finance Crisis Is Due to Theft Thriving Again

- The fact that we are once again facing a major crisis in public finances today is a result of this theft, one might say, thriving again. Perhaps not as well as before our governments, but steadily improving, and this can easily be demonstrated with numbers - stated Jarosław Kaczyński in Kielce.

20:05

Bryłka:

Given the Russian Threat, Poland Should Be Exempt from Climate Policy

- In my opinion, what Prime Minister Donald Tusk should do today is travel to Brussels, meet with his colleague from the European People's Party, namely the President of the European Commission, and state that Poland, due to being directly threatened by Russia, should be exempted from climate policy, primarily from ETS1, which covers energy-intensive industries, so crucial precisely for defense. This should be the task of the Polish government today in its relations with the EU - said Anna Bryłka in "Gość Wydarzeń" on Polsat News.

20:05

Bryłka on EU-Mercosur: Nawrocki Should Propose Polish-French Blocking Minority Initiative

- In my opinion, [President Karol Nawrocki] should propose cooperation at a president-to-president level, the signing of an agreement concerning the creation of a blocking minority. And here, a joint Polish-French initiative - Anna Bryłka said in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on "Gość Wydarzeń" on Polsat News.

- A Polish-French initiative is not a small initiative. It is a very significant initiative because France is the second-largest economy in the EU. Its opposition is very significant, very important. And I expect that some other countries might join such a Polish-French agreement. If this agreement doesn't happen, it will be very, very difficult - she assessed.

- There is still time. As long as there hasn't been a vote in the Council of the European Union, the ball is still in play. Most likely until the end of this year - she added.

20:06

Kaczyński:

'The Prospect of War is Unfortunately Completely Real.' Armament is the Only Way to Prevent It

- In the current situation, even more is needed. We must arm ourselves very quickly, because the prospect of war is, unfortunately, a completely real prospect today. I know you might not receive such a statement very willingly, as that is understandable – nobody wants war and such misfortune – but the only way to prevent this is to arm ourselves," Jarosław Kaczyński stated in Kielce.

20:16

Kaczyński:

Governing with Braun Would Mean the End of the Alliance with the US

- "If someone were to govern with Braun, one could say that the alliance with the US is over. That's how it is; whether one likes it or not, that's simply the case. Such is today's reality," - stated Jarosław Kaczyński in Kielce.

20:26

Bryłka on Russian Drones Over Poland:

I Trust the Prime Minister Who Says There Was No Mistake Here.

- No, I have no doubt [that these were Russian drones that violated Polish airspace]. As for the intentionality, we have the statements of the Prime Minister, who says that there was no mistake here. I trust the Prime Minister that this is indeed the case, that the government possesses the best possible knowledge on this matter - Anna Bryłka said on 'Gość Wydarzeń' on Polsat News.

20:29

"At some point he decided to serve external interests." Kaczyński on Tusk: "I've known many decent red-haired people, so it's not about his hair color"

- He [Donald Tusk] is described in various ways. Very often, his hair color is emphasized. But I've known many decent red-haired people. So, it's not about his hair color. The point is that he – I don't know when he decided, it's hard for me to say – but at some point he simply chose to serve external interests - stated Jarosław Kaczyński in Kielce.

20:30

Tusk:

Don't Look for an Enemy in the West

- Don't look for an enemy in the West. European allies have not failed in a time of crisis. The threat is the East and all those who try to break Euro-Atlantic unity - wrote Prime Minister Donald Tusk on social media.

20:30

Pełczyńska-Nałęcz:

'We Haven't Received an Unequivocal Statement That the US Stands Firmly Behind Poland Within NATO'

- We have not received – and this is something that should by no means undermine our allied commitment to the United States – but we have not received any unequivocal statement that the US stands firmly behind Poland today within NATO and assesses this as a Russian drone attack – said Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz in an interview with Monika Olejnik on "Kropka nad i" on TVN24.

- What did Putin see? He saw a united Europe, and that is very important; he saw ambiguous statements from the United States, and that is not good – she continued.

20:33

Tusk:

SOP Neutralized Drone Operating Over Government Buildings Moments Ago

- Moments ago, the State Protection Service (SOP) neutralized a drone operating over government buildings (Parkowa) and the Belweder. Two Belarusian citizens were detained. Police are investigating the circumstances of the incident - Prime Minister Donald Tusk wrote on social media.

20:35

Bryłka:

Konfederacja Had No Doubts From the Outset About Drones in Polish Airspace

- I don't know where this accusation against Konfederacja comes from, because we, from the very beginning, had no doubts about which drones violated Polish airspace - said Anna Bryłka on Polsat News' 'Gość Wydarzeń' program, when asked about Prime Minister Tusk's post, in which he stated that PiS and Konfederacja 'are bending over backwards to shift responsibility for the September 10th attack away from Russia'.

- Most of Konfederacja has no doubts. Konfederacja's leaders had no doubts; after all, both Sławomir Mentzen and Krzysztof Bosak participated in the National Security Council (RBN) meeting last Thursday, so there are no doubts here - she stated.

20:39

Pełczyńska-Nałęcz on reparations:

The President has the right to go and talk. Will he achieve more than the PiS government did? I doubt it.

"We'll see. So far, no government, including the PiS government during its 8 years in power, has managed to move this matter forward by a millimeter. We remember there was a lot of loud talk, but no tangible results were achieved," said Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz on TVN24, when asked if President Karol Nawrocki's talks in Berlin about reparations would be successful.

"The President has the right to go and talk about it. Will he manage to achieve something more than the PiS government did over 8 years? Honestly, I doubt it, which doesn't mean he shouldn't talk. Why not? Let him talk," she continued.

20:40

Bryłka:

I Don't Understand the Prime Minister's Attack on Konfederacja. We Are Russia's Enemies, Just Like Him

- I don't understand this attack from the Prime Minister. We are truly not enemies of Polish security. We are, just like the Prime Minister, enemies of Russia, and you genuinely cannot treat every criticism of the government - constructive criticism, I might add - as a pro-Russian action, Anna Bryłka said on "Gość Wydarzeń" on Polsat News.

20:50

Pełczyńska-Nałęcz:

KPO Irregularities Identified, Details to Follow This Week

- Let's distinguish between the uproar and what truly happened in terms of irregularities. It is not an irregularity that someone might buy a sunbed or even replace furniture as part of support for the tourism industry – I'm referring to aid stemming from multi-month lockdowns - said Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz on TVN24.

- Now we are conducting a very detailed inspection. All projects that have raised concerns or question marks are being scrutinised. However, we cannot – I do not want to allow – honest businesses (the majority of entrepreneurs in Poland are honest) to be unable to receive refinancing and what was committed to them. [...] If projects were verified as okay [...] we resumed payments - she continued.

- I will inform you this week [...] it will happen precisely this week; I will announce the first stage. Yes, we have already identified some irregularities, and I will inform you about them. Furthermore, inspections will continue. It has also confirmed our understanding that most of the projects we've audited so far are okay, but there are also irregularities - she added, when asked if there had been any irregularities.

20:52

Bryłka on Konfederacja’s Relationship with PiS:

We Won’t Be Reduced to an Appendage.

– Konfederacja is one entity. In reality, PiS and Chairman Kaczyński have been trying to destroy Konfederacja since 2019. The strategy PiS adopted many years ago was that nothing to the right of PiS could emerge. However, Chairman Kaczyński seems not to have noticed, first, that PiS lost power, and today Konfederacja is the third force on the Polish political scene. We never wanted to reduce our role in politics to being just a junior partner, an appendage – said Anna Bryłka on Polsat News’ “Gość Wydarzeń.”

– In 2027, the era of junior partners for the duopoly that has governed uninterruptedly for 20 years will end. […] We want to be an equal partner – she added.

20:56

Pełczyńska-Nałęcz:

No Mobbing in the Government

- I have a sense of humor about myself, so I took it [Prime Minister Tusk's words "all cameras on the minister"] as a joke. I know that it was perceived differently in the public sphere; I think the word "mobbing" probably surfaced, so I deny it, there is no mobbing in the government - said Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz on TVN24.

21:04

Pełczyńska-Nałęcz Confirms Hołownia Speaker Rotation, Open to Deputy PM Post

- Polska 2050, and it's in our DNA, adheres to the coalition agreements that have been concluded. We believe, and I believe, that Speaker Hołownia is a very good Speaker, but a coalition agreement was concluded, and we are sticking to that agreement - said Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz on TVN24.

- According to that agreement, in mid-November, there will be a change in the position of Speaker, and in return, Polska 2050 – this was agreed upon later, but confirmed by all coalition partners – will have a Deputy Speaker and a Deputy Prime Minister in the government; we are sticking to the concluded agreements - she continued.

Pełczyńska-Nałęcz as Deputy Prime Minister? "I'm not afraid of work and responsibility"

- If Szymon Hołownia wanted to join the government, it's always a good solution, and it's his decision. So far, he says no, so it's absolutely his decision - the Minister of Funds continued.

- Such a proposal was made by Speaker Hołownia; for me, it's an honor. Of course, Polska 2050 makes the decision, but I'm not afraid of work and responsibility - she added, when asked if she would be the Deputy Prime Minister.
