Morawiecki:

I Support a Return to the Abortion Compromise
First and foremost, I must say that I support a return to the abortion compromise, and that is because I am not naive and I know that if the pendulum swings very strongly in the other direction, then those liberal proposals that were put forward yesterday could someday come into effect, and I am against abortion, abortion is an evil, and I would not want it to ever be that way - stated Mateusz Morawiecki on RMF FM.

09:22

Morawiecki on Abolishing the Abortion Compromise: If I Could, I Would Turn Back Time

- If I could turn back time, you are asking me about 2020, then yes, I would turn back that time, because I believe that compromise was not good, but a much better outcome than what may await us in the future - stated Mateusz Morawiecki on RMF FM.

09:34

Morawiecki on Local Governments: We are Ready to Share Power, as we are Focused on Building a Coalition of Polish Affairs, a Broader Coalition

- I am optimistic. I believe that if we can build a coalition, even with Konfederacja in Podlaskie, we will govern in at least five regional assemblies, and perhaps even more. Discussions are ongoing with other partners; I don't want to reveal too much, as negotiations thrive in silence. However, we are prepared to share power because we are focused on building a Coalition of Polish Affairs, a broader coalition, in those regional assemblies where we have an absolute majority, in exchange for co-governing elsewhere - stated Mateusz Morawiecki on RMF FM.

09:40

Morawiecki:

We Are Complementary to the PSL, and There Are No Major Risks in Cooperating With Us
We are proposing, and I say this quite openly here, to our current opponents in the Sejm, but I look at politics a bit differently than many people, to potential partners, including those from the PSL, those who are currently being slowly devoured by Mr. Tusk, because he has concertedly weakened the opposition, both Trzecia Droga and Lewica. Donald Tusk, therefore, I think it's exactly half a year since the elections that it's worth coming to your senses and considering whether this is a good coalition for them. We are complementary to the PSL, and there are no major risks in cooperating with us - stated Mateusz Morawiecki on RMF FM. - I don't know if it's death or not, but I know that with absolute certainty, I can take any bet here that there will be districts, and very large ones at that, where such a coalition [PiS-PSL] will come about. More or less quiet or loud, but I think it will be very well known to everyone - he continued.

09:44

Morawiecki:

We are Ready to Share Our Victory

- I am specifically talking about the voivodeships, that this is the proposal we are making, formulating. We are ready to share our victory, I can say that, our unexpected victory, because Mr. Tusk said we would govern perhaps in one regional assembly, or perhaps in none - stated Mateusz Morawiecki on RMF FM.

09:51

Morawiecki:

If we return to power, I will propose opposition involvement in managing key, cross-term development projects

- If we return to power, I will propose opposition involvement in managing key, cross-term development projects such as Polish nuclear energy and the Central Communication Port (CPK) - stated Mateusz Morawiecki on RMF FM.

Miszalski:

Kraków Needs Change, But a Reasonable, Balanced One That Krakowians Expect, Not a Revolutionary One

- Kraków needs change, but a reasonable, balanced change that Krakowians expect, not a revolutionary change, not a change based on hate. We need to build consensus and cooperation between different residents and social groups, and that's what we've been doing from the very beginning - stated Aleksander Miszalski at a Civic Coalition (KO) rally in Krakow.

11:16

Miszalski to Gibała: Nowak and Szydło support you. Will you accept it?

- Łukasz Gibała was in Civic Platform, in the Palikot Movement, now he has taken members of the Razem party onto his lists. 5 years ago he said: PiS is evil, that PiS must be separated by a sanitary cordon. Łukasz, where is that cordon? Barbara Nowak, Beata Szydło support you. Will you accept this support? I am afraid of what the arrangement there is. Can he be trusted in this context? - stated Aleksander Miszalski at a Civic Coalition rally in Krakow.

11:17

Miszalski:

Gibała's Hate Campaign Intensifies, But I Will Respond with Love and the Heart of KO

- Recently, the campaign of hate and slander has also been intensifying significantly. Łukasz Gibała, perhaps slightly surprised by his election result, said on election day that if I win these elections, only developers and drunken tourists will be happy. I wanted to ask you, how many developers are here, please raise your hand, drunken tourists? Unfortunately, this campaign of hate and animosity is escalating; various advertisements and posters have appeared, but listen, I will not respond to this hate with hate. We will respond to this hate with love, with the heart of KO. In Łukasz Gibała's narrative, he also says that Aleksander Miszalski is a candidate of continuity, while he himself is a candidate for change. Well, if I were Jacek Majchrowski's candidate, he would probably have supported me in the first round, or I would have supported Andrzej Kulig in the first round, but I didn't, because Krakow needs change – stated Aleksander Miszalski at a meeting with residents in Krakow.

11:19

Trzaskowski:

Total Mobilization is Needed Today

- Today, total mobilization is needed. We have been talking about this for the last few months, that mobilization is absolutely crucial, that we need to take this next step so that proven managers, trustworthy people, govern in our cities, towns, and the Polish countryside - stated Rafał Trzaskowski at a Civic Coalition (KO) rally in Krakow.

11:22

Trzaskowski:

Mobilization Could Have Been Greater. That's Why I Appeal to Everyone – Go Vote on April 21st for Credible Candidates

- This mobilization could have been greater. We all counted on higher turnout in these local government elections, then we could have governed, I am absolutely convinced of that, including in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship Sejmik. It turned out a bit differently, some of us decided to stay home, and that's why today I appeal to everyone – go vote on April 21st and vote for credible candidates, and in Krakow, for Aleksander Miszalski – stated Rafał Trzaskowski at a Civic Coalition (KO) rally in Krakow.

11:32

Trzaskowski:

We are ready to cooperate with Miszalski and implement the best ideas from across Poland and Europe in Krakow

- Aleksander Miszalski and I have discussed this many times, and he is ready for good cooperation that will bring only benefits to Krakow. Because if we want to build a metro in Krakow, we need to draw on the best experiences we have, not only in Poland but across Europe. And we are ready to cooperate with Aleksander and to have these best solutions from across Poland and from across Europe implemented here in Krakow – stated Rafał Trzaskowski at a meeting with residents in Krakow.

The Left Announces Head of Campaign Staff for European Parliament Elections

The Management Board [of the Left] today selected the head of campaign staff for the European Parliament elections. MP Katarzyna Kotula, a minister in our government, has been appointed as the head of staff – stated Robert Biedroń at a press conference.

The Left held a management board meeting today, and primarily we discussed the local government elections, but we are also ready for the EP elections. We have made an important decision regarding the leadership of the campaign staff. We are entering with new energy. The Left is always about change, about the future, so that people live better lives, so that the issues we deal with concern specific people, Polish women and men, and that will be what these EP elections are about – stated Robert Biedroń.

Joanna Scheuring-Wielgus is to lead the communication campaign of the Left. The convention with candidates for the EP will take place on April 27.

Kaczyński in Stalowa Wola: 'I Came Here to Thank Those Who Voted for PiS, Who Were Not Intimidated'

- I came here to thank, to thank all our compatriots, our citizens, who voted for PiS, who were not afraid, who did not break under the spreading – perhaps not terror yet, but intimidation – that was applied in recent weeks and months. With the kidnapping of wrongly accused and wrongly convicted politicians from the Presidential Palace, with the actions taken against them, with the torture, with all these break-ins, forceful takeovers. This created an atmosphere of intimidation; you were not scared, you were like steel, and that's why I thank you – stated Jarosław Kaczyński at a meeting with residents of Stalowa Wola.

18:05

Kaczyński:

Never with the party that is today the source of evil in Poland, never with PO. Never and nowhere.

- There is also this negative element – never with the party that is today the source of evil in Poland, never with PO. Never and nowhere. We cannot do that, we cannot support this party. And in the fight against it, we must remember that we have truly very, very many arguments. These 100 days, or rather over 100 days now, have given us these arguments – stated Jarosław Kaczyński in Stalowa Wola.

18:07

Kaczyński:

If a situation arises with unwanted guests, much will depend on whether local government dares to refuse them

- Before, they supported it, and on December 20th last year, Tusk could have vetoed it and did not. This concerns the relocation pact. Here, the role of local governments can be really significant, because if a situation arises where we have these unwanted guests in our country, then a lot will depend on whether local government wants to accept them, or if it will have the courage to not want to accept them - stated Jarosław Kaczyński in Stalowa Wola.

18:25

Kaczyński:

We Will Have Very Strong Lists for the EP
I want to assure you that we will have very strong lists. With people who have been tested, here sits the Prime Minister, a European record holder in terms of the number of votes [Beata Szydło], but we also have individuals, concerning a woman [Jadwiga Wiśniewska], who received fewer, clearly, just over 100,000 votes, but also over 400,000, and arguably the third best result in the country – stated Jarosław Kaczyński in Stalowa Wola. There will be new people, capable, energetic people who will fight to ensure this result is the best, a good, victorious one – he continued.

18:25

Kaczyński:

Anyone Running with PiS for the European Parliament Will Have to Sign a Certain Number of Programmatic Points

- Anyone who runs on this list will have to declare, to sign a certain number of programmatic points. I won't present them here yet, because at this moment there are like two concepts, a longer and a shorter one, 12 points and 5 points, more synthetically. But in essence, it's about the same thing: no changes to treaties, no green deals, actions that destroy the economy, degrade Poland and Europe - stated Jarosław Kaczyński in Stalowa Wola.

18:30

Kaczyński:

European elections lie ahead. There's a plan for Europe, including the Green Deal, which spells the downfall of Polish agriculture

- As you all well know, European elections are just around the corner. These are crucial European elections where truly the most important matters will be decided. Because there's a prospect of a certain change in Europe, but at the same time, there's a plan, a plan that has been in motion for some time already, a plan that is simply for Europe, but perhaps especially deadly for Poland and countries like Poland. A plan that includes the Green Deal, and what does the Green Deal mean? It means the downfall of Polish agriculture – said Jarosław Kaczyński at a meeting with residents of Stalowa Wola.
