Political Agenda for Tuesday: Nawrocki at Local Government Day, Czarnek's Local Government Meetup, Committees on Partnership Agreements, Chain Law, and Glapiński

At 10:00 AM, a press briefing will be held by the leadership of the Ministry of Family, Labour, and Social Policy, headed by Minister Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bąk.

At 12:00 PM, at the Presidential Palace, President Karol Nawrocki will participate in a ceremony on the occasion of Local Government Day.

At 12:00 PM, a government session will begin. The agenda includes, among other items, a draft bill on social security for individuals performing artistic professions, a draft amendment to the Act on the National Oncological Network, and a draft amendment to the Banking Law.

At 1:00 PM, an extraordinary parliamentary committee will consider the government's draft bill on the status of the closest person in a relationship and an agreement on cohabitation, along with its implementing provisions.

At 2:00 PM, an extraordinary parliamentary committee will return to considering the presidential draft amendment to the Animal Protection Act, as well as a parliamentary proposal. In practice, this concerns the introduction of a ban on tethering domestic animals, and in particular, addressing the issue of dogs kept "on a chain".

At 3:00 PM, the parliamentary committee on constitutional accountability will, in a closed session, revisit the preliminary motion to bring the President of the National Bank of Poland, Adam Glapiński, before the State Tribunal. Witness hearings are planned, including those of Leszek Skiba and Jacek Jastrzębski.

At 4:30 PM, in Warsaw, Deputy Chairman of PiS and the party's candidate for Prime Minister, Przemysław Czarnek, will open the "Local Government MeetUp" meeting.

At 5:00 PM, the Razem party is set to announce its decision regarding the presidential elections in Krakow.

Referendum a Red Card for the Coalition? Pomaska: An Exaggeration

- I think it's an exaggeration [that the referendum in Krakow is a red card for the coalition]. But of course, one must draw conclusions from every such matter, seemingly local, but I will emphasize, national, because we are all discussing it. We will have a candidate, we will have elections, first we will have the Prime Minister's decision [regarding] the commissioner within the next 7 days - stated Agnieszka Pomaska in "Piasecki's Conversation" on TVN24.

07:56

Pomaska Suggests Czarnak's Potential Run in Krakow:

I've Heard It's a Very Serious Candidacy.

- I've heard it's a very serious candidacy [Przemysław Czarnek's in Krakow], he has political ambitions, and that would be very much in the style of PiS. To send a national politician, but also a controversial one, to Krakow, who attacks left and right there, not always wisely, or usually unwisely, so that would be in the style of PiS. It's certainly not in our style, the style of Civic Coalition - stated Agnieszka Pomaska in "Piasecki's Conversation" on TVN24.

08:42

Przydacz on Kapiński:

The President Chose the Judge He Had the Greatest Conviction in His Substantive and Moral Qualities

- The President had 5 judges indicated by the General Assembly of the Supreme Court to choose from, and he selected from these 5 the judge about whom he had the greatest conviction in his substantive and moral qualities - said Marcin Przydacz in a conversation with Renata Grochal on "Bez uników" on Trójka.

- I understand that one can also criticize some rulings in which Judge Kapiński made decisions - he continued.

08:51

Tomczyk on the Kraków Referendum:

We Need to Draw Conclusions as Quickly as Possible.

- Of course, we discussed this because the matter is of significant importance from the perspective of what is happening, primarily in Kraków. We need to draw conclusions as quickly as possible. The Prime Minister, according to the law, now has time to appoint a commissioner, and afterwards, the election campaign will take place. I also have no doubt that Kraków was primarily used here for political purposes - stated Cezary Tomczyk in an interview with Marcin Fijołek on Polsat News' "Graffiti".

- The fact that Czarnek appeared there the next day was not accidental, and Kraków cannot be a hostage to such PiS policies that are intended for the entire country. Kraków simply must have a good mayor. The people of Kraków decided on the election of Aleksander Miszalski and decided on his recall. It's time for the next step. There must be a serious offer for the residents, and they will make, I am convinced, the right choice - he continued.

08:53

Tomczyk:

Let's Do Everything to Keep Krakow as Krakow, Not Czarnkow

- I've heard, I'll tell you, that Czarnek is preparing to run for the mayor of Krakow. I've heard that there's supposed to be some kind of test, that this is supposed to be a path to... If that's how it's going to be, then that shows everything too. Let's do everything to ensure Krakow remains Krakow, and not Czarnkow - stated Cezary Tomczyk on Polsat News' "Graffiti".

08:55

Przydacz on American Soldiers in Poland:

Our Goal Should Be 15,000.

"We should have 10,000 [American soldiers] [...] 4,000 were temporarily held back during the last rotation," Marcin Przydacz said on Trójka.

"Our task, but also the task of government diplomacy, the Ministry of National Defense, here we should put all hands on deck, everyone should fight for this, firstly, for the rotating brigade that hasn't arrived yet, to arrive," he continued.

"And to refer to President Trump's words [...] our goal should be [...] 15,000 in Poland, whereas as a minimal scenario we can accept that even 11,000 will be an increase of a thousand," he went on.

08:59

Tomczyk:

Americans Have Declared That by the End of Summer We Will Know the Plan for US Soldiers' Presence on Polish Soil

- So that's why we agreed on this arrangement. And that was also the conclusion of my visit to the White House and my meeting with Donald Trump's National Security Advisor, that we are launching a communication channel between General Grynkiewicz, General Donahue, who is the commander of American troops in Europe, and the Ministry of National Defense and General Kukula, the Chief of the General Staff. And within four weeks, this plan for American presence on Polish soil will be created - stated Cezary Tomczyk on Polsat News' "Graffiti".

- According to the American declaration, yes [we will know by the end of summer]. We are in a fairly good position at the moment because matters have been settled and decided. And this is overlaid by a second process, which is not as good and concerns the whole of Europe. And this is the American concept of NATO 3.0, which assumes that American troops will be gradually withdrawn from Europe in favor of Europe taking responsibility for its own security - he continued.

- This issue does not concern Poland. For Poland, paradoxically, it may end with an increased American presence. However, it was not easy and required the involvement of the entire state. I would also like to thank everyone, because here our delegation, the military delegation, the Chancellery of the President, everyone contributed their part. I believe that these relations with America will only become stronger thanks to all this turmoil. Paradoxically - the Deputy Minister of National Defense emphasized.

09:01

Przydacz:

It would be necessary for Prime Minister Tusk and Marshal Czarzasty to stop using such critical language towards Americans

- It would be necessary for Prime Minister Donald Tusk to stop using such critical language towards Americans, and similarly for Marshal Czarzasty, because it does not help - said Marcin Przydacz in Trójka.

- I understand that they have their own emotions, their own small political points to score, but it is not helpful, why? Because later in the Pentagon, but also in the State Department, there appear circles that are not entirely favorable to us, because for example, there is the pro-German lobby, as it is called, and they say, "Here you go, gentlemen, see what Donald Tusk says about us here, and what the Speaker of Parliament says about us." - he continued.

- It does not help, it does not create a good atmosphere, so if I could appeal to two important representatives of the Polish state, to perhaps calm down their negative emotions, because they do not help the cause. If they don't help, then at least let them not hinder - he said further.

12:26

Tusk Names the Person:

I Will Appoint a Commissioner in Krakow Shortly.

- I will shortly appoint a commissioner in Krakow at the request of the Małopolski Voivode - stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk during a government session.

- Aleksander Miszalski ceases to be the President of Krakow today, and in his place, until a new president is elected [...] until then, Stanisław Kracik, formerly the Greater Poland Voivode and currently the Deputy Mayor of Krakow, will serve as commissioner - he continued.

12:39

Tusk:

Poland to Sign Treaty with Great Britain Tomorrow

- Tomorrow is a historic moment, and I wanted to inform you about it and thank the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Minister of National Defence, the Minister of Interior, and all those who were involved in the preparation of the treaty between the Republic of Poland and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland on partnership in the field of security and defence - said Prime Minister Donald Tusk during a government session.

- Poland will sign this treaty with Great Britain tomorrow - he continued.

12:43

Tusk:

Today We Will Adopt a Law Integrating Professional Artists into the Social Security System

- Today, at the government session, we also have something that tens of thousands of people in Poland have been waiting for for a long time [...] I am talking here about a law that will integrate professional artists into the social security system. [...] This particularly concerns young female artists and young male artists who are struggling - said Prime Minister Donald Tusk during the government session.

- I am very pleased that today we are adopting this law in government, which will mean that a young male artist, a young female artist, will not have to face such a dramatic dilemma: 'either I give up my calling because I simply cannot afford it, or I give up, for example, motherhood', that would be unforgivable - he continued.

- Today we will adopt this law; it's not about making fortunes, I realize that this is merely extending a hand to those in the most difficult situations, but I know that the entire artistic community has been waiting in solidarity for such help for those most in need - he added.

12:50

Tusk:

We Will Also Adopt a Bill Improving the National Oncological Network Act

- Today, we will also adopt a bill, which I hope will amend the act, improve the National Oncological Network Act. This is important information for cancer patients; it concerns the continuation of care, full coordination, and such attentive supervision over a patient who has completed oncological treatment - said Prime Minister Donald Tusk during a government session.

13:10

Nawrocki addresses Domański and speaks about financial management:

We wouldn't be where we should be without Polish local government officials.

- We couldn't be where we are today, or where we could be even higher, if public finances were managed better. I greet Minister Domański as usual, but we wouldn't be where we should be if it weren't for Polish local government officials and your persistent work over the last three decades. Thus, local government is freedom, it is democracy. Local government is development, but local government is also the constitution. In the preamble of the Constitution of the Republic of Poland, the cooperation of authorities and the principle of subsidiarity are directly emphasized. Polish local government is enshrined in the Constitution of the Republic of Poland - stated President Karol Nawrocki during the celebrations on the occasion of Local Government Day.

- But what is most important to me and what I wanted to convey to you personally, today, despite this sun and heat, is that local government officials are, in essence, the voice of the Polish nation. It is you who are closest at all levels of local government to human needs, public services, transport, education, and healthcare. The voice of local government officials must be heard very loudly, and that is why I became the President of Poland, to also be your voice in the world of this great central politics. You are the voice of Polish women and men - he continued.

13:48

Miszalski on Recall Referendum:

I'm Not Happy, But That's Democracy.

- It was a beautiful time on one hand, but also a difficult time on the other. It was a time of many better and worse moments, a time when we spoke very intensely with residents, I'll remind you about the 53 dialogue benches in total. It was a time of many challenges, the start of the metro, the master plan, strategy, the pact of Krakow's housing estates, and many other good things that happened in Krakow - stated Aleksander Miszalski at a press briefing.

- But of course, it was also a time when I made mistakes, we made mistakes, and in the end, I respect, accept, and with full humility, I receive the verdict of the residents. I am not happy about it, I am not pleased, but that's democracy, its charms - he continued.

13:54

Miszalski on Campaign Engagement:

We Bear an Immense Responsibility to Win the Next Battle After Losing the Previous One.

- Of course. I will engage in the upcoming campaign. I am the chairman of PO in Małopolska, Civic Coalition in Małopolska, I apologize. We bear an immense responsibility to win the next battle after losing the previous one. I am ready for it - stated Aleksander Miszalski at a press briefing.

13:56

Miszalski on his position in Małopolska Civic Coalition:

I am the boss and I intend to remain so.

- I am unaware of these reports. These are democratic procedures; elections are held every 3-4 years, and we recently won these elections [in KO]. So, I am the boss and I intend to remain so - stated Aleksander Miszalski at a press conference.

14:03

A Joint KO Candidate with PSL? Miszalski on Seeking Agreement

- Will we field a joint candidate? For now, we have a declaration, as far as I know, from Lewica, that they will field their candidate. I think, when it comes to PSL, we will seek an agreement for this candidate to be joint - stated Aleksander Miszalski at a press briefing.

14:20

Szłapka questioned about Hungary unblocking €2 billion:

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is still in talks with the Hungarian side.

- In this matter, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is still in talks with the Hungarian side. This concerns several issues, so we will certainly discuss it. I am optimistic, I think there shouldn't be major problems here - stated Adam Szłapka at a press conference.

15:51

"Closer to Europe": Kosiniak-Kamysz in Canada on SAFE Mechanism and Investments

- A very important goal of our visit, together with Minister Sobkowiak-Czarnecka, is to discuss Canadian industrial investments in Poland, purchases within the Polish defense sector, and the relationship of solidarity in the other direction. We are also promoting the opportunity for Polish investors and entrepreneurs to invest in Canada - stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz in Canada.

- This is a good moment, as Canada is getting closer to Europe, having joined the SAFE mechanism - the Deputy Prime Minister continued.

15:52

"No Short Circuit, No Conflict": Szefernaker on the First President of the Supreme Court Election

- This decision [to appoint the First President of the Supreme Court] was not made by the President against anyone. The President was given the choice, he has the option to choose from 5 candidates who were presented. He recognized that this is the best candidate out of the 5 presented by the General Assembly of the Supreme Court. He is the candidate who received the most votes during the election in the Supreme Court, and yesterday spokesperson Leśkiewicz pointed to the arguments that led to the judge being chosen by the President - stated Paweł Szefernaker in a conversation with journalists.

- No short circuit, no conflict, I guarantee it to you. It won't always be the case that opinions will be uniform. However, I am convinced that today we are a single, great, strong force with the entire environment that supports the President - he continued.

16:55

"This is a criminal government." Czarnek on "persecution of local governments"

- The persecution of local governments, and this persecution, unfortunately, must be spoken about on Local Government Day. This is a criminal government that orders districts, such as Janów County [...] to run hospitals, orders them to provide medical services in these hospitals, and then says it will not pay any money at all - said Przemysław Czarnek at the "Local Government MeetUp" meeting.

17:01

Czarnek's appeal to the Polish People's Party (PSL):

Leave this government, or start respecting local governments.

- This is being done by the government currently held by Civic Coalition, the Polish People's Party, The Left, and this same government then criticizes the starosta in these local governments who is trying to keep the hospital afloat - said Przemysław Czarnek at the "Local Government MeetUp" meeting.

- He is not receiving funds, the hospital is being starved, the starosta does not want to close individual departments, he wants to treat patients, he is trying to rationalize in any way, even if we were to put this rationalization in quotation marks, and then PSL members in this district say that they will not allow such actions in the hospital - he continued.

- Dear colleagues from the PSL, local government officials. We truly appeal to you from Warsaw: leave this government, or start respecting local governments, because they need money to run hospitals and provide medical services - he went on to say.

17:07

Czarnek:

A Reformed Constitution Must Guarantee Local Government Financial Stability

- This dishonesty on the part of the state, the government administration, towards local government administration, must be ended once and for all. In this Constitution, which, I hope, we will amend in the short term, hopefully already after these elections, we will have to ensure the financial stability of local governments – said Przemysław Czarnek during a "MeetUp Samorządowy" (Local Government MeetUp).

- It cannot be the case that local government officials, councillors, mayors, heads of gminas, presidents, do not fully know each year what will happen in the second half of the year [...] where they will have to contribute local government funds, for what the state will not allocate financial resources, what it will delegate to local governments, what it will burden local governments with and not allocate any funds for it at all – he continued.

17:12

They Will Represent Local Government Officials in the Program Campaign. Czarnek Names Them

- I am also honored by the fact that today, on Local Government Day, I can announce that three outstanding representatives of all these people standing behind me are joining our team, our high-speed train, which departed, set off from the Hala Sokoła station in Krakow on March 7 - said Przemysław Czarnek at the "Local Government MeetUp" meeting.

- Three people who have completely changed the face of cities, which look completely different today than before '18, than before '14 in one case, cities that are truly our showcase, that are our pride - he continued.

- Representing all of you local government officials on this train, in our team, in this program campaign that we have started and are accelerating, will be the presidents: Jakub Banaszek, president of the city of Chełm, Lucjusz Nadbereżny, president of the city of Stalowa Wola, and Jarek Margielski, president of the city of Otwock - he went on to say.

17:45

Razem Announces Candidate for Krakow Mayor

- I am pleased to announce that the Razem candidate in this year's elections will be Aleksandra Owca - said Mateusz Trzeciak during the launch of the Razem party's campaign.

"I am not deluded into thinking that Civic Coalition or New Left will learn from the referendum"

- Krakow decided that Mayor Miszalski must go. But now the most important decision lies before us. What kind of Krakow do we want? In what kind of Krakow do we and our loved ones want to live? - said Aleksandra Owca.

- Krakow is not a prize for political activists of the winning option. But I am not deluded into thinking that Civic Coalition or New Left will draw any conclusions from the referendum, and I am convinced that if their circles maintain the mayoralty, they will do exactly what they have been doing for the past few years, which is to extract money from public assets - she continued.

"In this campaign, you will hear a lot of nonsense from my competitors"

- In this campaign, you will hear a lot of nonsense from my competitors. Confederation will come and tell you that the solution to the housing crisis is more deregulation. Even more privileges for developers. That true freedom means living in micro-studios. They will try to convince you that the solution to transport problems is more lanes for cars and more parking lots. That the solution to hospital queues is privatization - the Razem candidate continued.

- This is not true; the effect will be exactly as always: it will be worse, more expensive, and more difficult - she stated.

- You will hear that changing directors will solve all problems and then Krakow will truly start working for its residents. And I want to say this openly: the best directors from competitions will achieve nothing if they have to work for a president without imagination, without views, without a plan for the future. A president who goes in the direction dictated by polls and focus groups - she emphasized.

"We have an authentic choice ahead of us"

- The residents have clearly spoken: we want change, and today we have an authentic choice before us about what kind of change it will be. Do we want a Krakow where every seventh apartment stands empty because someone treats it as a capital investment, or a Krakow where young people can finally feel at home? Do we want a Krakow where a bus to Nowa Huta runs once an hour because the city's policy is dictated by the owners of luxury SUVs, or a Krakow that truly belongs to those who live here, not those who only park here - added the Razem candidate.

18:10

Bogucki:

Wałęsa was "Bolek." No One Has Doubts About That

- We must state that Lech Wałęsa was a collaborator, he was "Bolek." I think no one has doubts about that. However, the matter concerning Judge Kapiński is decidedly different. One must understand that historical research, even in-depth historical research, is one thing, while the strictures of criminal proceedings are another, because it was precisely within the framework of criminal proceedings that the court, of which Judge Kapiński was a member at the time, ruled - stated Zbigniew Bogucki on Radio Zet.

19:22

Kapiński as First President of the Supreme Court: A Good Choice? Czarnek: History Will Tell. I Accept the President's Decision

- History will tell, it's difficult to assess a choice [...] 24 hours after the election - said Przemysław Czarnek in an interview on the Rymanowski Live channel, when asked about President Nawrocki's decision that Zbigniew Kapiński will become the First President of the Supreme Court, and whether it is a good choice.

- I know the man, today the First President of the Supreme Court Zbigniew Kapiński, I know his achievements as head of the Criminal Chamber of the Supreme Court, as well as the ruling of the Criminal Chamber which stated that Mr. Korneluk is not the National Public Prosecutor, but that Mr. Prosecutor Dariusz Barski still is - he continued.

- I am also aware of the reservations, which I share [...] the reservations of Minister Cenckiewicz or President Jarosław Kaczyński regarding the incomprehensible verdict concerning TW Bolek, however, the President has made a decision, and I accept it - he added.

19:28

Czarnek on Cenczkiewicz's Words to Nawrocki:

I Wouldn't Write That.

- No. Because I am not Sławomir Cenckiewicz, I do not have the same relationship with President Karol Nawrocki that Minister Sławomir Cenckiewicz has, and I also do not have the same relationship with TW Bolek - said Przemysław Czarnek in an interview on the Rymanowski Live channel, when asked if he would endorse Sławomir Cenckiewicz's words regarding the election of the First President of the Supreme Court: "Karol, you made a terrible mistake...".

- His emotions are different from mine [...] I wouldn't write that - he continued.

- Minister Sławomir Cenckiewicz simply expressed his opinion, quite emotional given his scientific discoveries concerning Lech Wałęsa's past, as well as his relationship with President Karol Nawrocki [...] these are Sławek Cenckiewicz's emotions, which I do not share - he went on to say.

19:36

Czarnek on Kapiński:

I Share Kaczyński's and Cenkiewicz's Reservations, While Simultaneously Accepting the President's Choice.

- President Karol Nawrocki made a decision in line with his prerogatives, after a long period of examination, also considering all those reservations that are addressed in connection with this one, in my opinion, dramatically bad ruling - said Przemysław Czarnek in an interview on the Rymanowski Live channel.

- I understand the reservations from President Jarosław Kaczyński and Minister Sławomir Cenkiewicz, I share these reservations, and at the same time I accept the President's choice and congratulate the First President and wish him strength and perseverance - he continued.

19:41

Czarnek on Nawrocki and Kaczyński:

There's Nothing Wrong with Having More Leaders on the Right.

- When it comes to the leadership of a political party, it's undoubtedly Jarosław Kaczyński, because he is the leader of the largest opposition party on the right today - stated Przemysław Czarnek in an interview on the Rymanowski Live channel, when asked who is the leader of the Polish right, Jarosław Kaczyński or Karol Nawrocki.

- Regarding the 'reign of souls' on the right, it is divided, but undoubtedly President Karol Nawrocki, with his excellent actions over the past, soon to be 10 months, has truly captured the hearts of Poles on the right, including mine - he continued, when pressed about the 'reign of souls'.

- There is nothing wrong with having more leaders on the right - he went on to say.

19:49

Czarnek Assures He Won't Run for Krakow Mayor:

I Don't Know Where This Spin Came From.

"This is an unbelievable absurdity. I have no idea where this spin came from and what purpose it serves," said Przemysław Czarnek in an interview on the Rymanowski Live channel, when asked if he would run for the position of Krakow mayor.

"Of course not," he continued.

"Law and Justice has many leaders in Małopolska and they are considering what to do in these presidential elections, whom to support, whom to potentially nominate, and we will analyze and accept this decision," he continued.

19:54

Sikorski on Summoning the Russian Ambassador:

If Our Embassy Suffers, We Will Consider It Deliberate Decisions.

- [The Russian Ambassador was told] that threatening clearly civilian targets, such as government buildings or diplomatic missions, is unacceptable. And along with all of Europe, we protest, and if our embassy suffers, as it has suffered in the past, we will consider these to be deliberate decisions - stated Radosław Sikorski in "Gość Wydarzeń" on Polsat News.

19:55

Duda, Szydło, or Wassermann Running for Krakow Mayor with PiS Support? Czarnek: I Don't Think the First Two Names are in Play

- President Andrzej Duda is the President of the Republic of Poland for two terms. For 10 years, he was the President of the Republic of Poland. I don't know of any case in the world where someone who was absolutely number 1 in a large country would suddenly run for office, a very important one, but still the mayor of just one city - said Przemysław Czarnek in an interview on the Rymanowski Live channel, when asked if Andrzej Duda would be a good candidate for PiS for the mayor of Krakow.

- I also don't think so; the former Prime Minister held an equally important position, and with great success, as Prime Minister, and later Deputy Prime Minister, and I don't think that would be considered - he continued, when asked about Beata Szydło.

- All those you mention have the passive right to vote; if they wish, they will run. I don't think these first two names are in play, and I don't think mine is either - he added, when pressed about Małgorzata Wassermann.

19:57

Sikorski on Ambassador Cichocki’s Conduct After the Outbreak of War:

I Can Praise the Previous Government.

- I remind you, to be clear, I can praise the previous government. The ambassador, at the time when other embassies were evacuating from Kyiv at the beginning of the war, to Lviv and further, the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland, Bartosz Cichocki, continued his mission - stated Radosław Sikorski on “Gość Wydarzeń” Polsat News.

19:59

Sikorski:

Russia is weakening, unable to achieve its goals, but that doesn't mean it can't bite

- This confirms my opinion that a sick man with a revolver is still a man with a revolver. Russia is weakening, unable to achieve its goals, but that doesn't mean it can't bite. And this is exactly that biting - stated Radosław Sikorski on "Gość Wydarzeń" (Guest of Events) on Polsat News.

20:04

PiS Not Fielding a Candidate for Krakow Mayor? Czarnek: I Think That Option is Possible, but Supporting a Candidate is More Likely

- I think that option is possible, although it seems to me that supporting a candidate is more likely than standing aside - said Przemysław Czarnek in an interview on the Rymanowski Live channel, when asked about a scenario in which PiS does not field a candidate for the mayor of Krakow.

20:13

Sikorski on the Krakow Referendum:

We Respect Democratic Verdicts

- We respect democratic verdicts. We will certainly put forward a good candidate in the elections [in Krakow]. I am not [afraid of a domino effect] - stated Radosław Sikorski on "Gość Wydarzeń" Polsat News.

20:13

Americans Pressuring Kosiniak-Kamysz to Form an Alternative Coalition? Czarnek: I Haven't Heard Anything Like That

- I haven't heard anything like that, about Americans pressuring Mr. Kosiniak-Kamysz. I was in the United States for a week, and no one told me anything like that – said Przemysław Czarnek in an interview on the Rymanowski Live channel, when asked how much truth there is to the claim that Americans are pressuring Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz to "abandon Donald Tusk and form an alternative coalition" because they don't want to cooperate with Prime Minister Tusk's government.

20:17

Czarnek:

Last Autumn I Gave PSL a 25-30% Chance of Leaving the Government. Today I Have No Hope

"Last autumn, I even gave it several dozen percent chance, but not a majority, rather, let's say some 25-30% chance for the scenario that PSL would finally come to its senses and leave this government. I have no hope in this regard today" - said Przemysław Czarnek in an interview on the Rymanowski Live channel, when asked if he believed we would have the current government until the end of its term.

"I think the latter is most probable. He doesn't have the desire, and even if he does, something holds him back in this team with Tusk" - he continued, when asked if he had no hope because he believed the party was incapable or because Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz lacked the desire.

20:19

Sikorski:

The President's obstruction of prosecutor reshuffles significantly hinders our accountability efforts

- You must admit that the fact that the President is preventing changes in prosecutor positions significantly hinders our accountability efforts. [This is the fundamental problem]. If we have prosecutors who so faithfully served the previous government, they might not be sufficiently energetic - stated Radosław Sikorski on Polsat News' "Gość Wydarzeń" (Guest of Events).

- Okay, we assumed we would win the presidential elections. But you have to admit that the current president is exceptionally active in vetoing government legislation - he continued.

20:23

Czarnek:

EU-German SAFE Excludes Cooperation with the USA

- If he [Kosiniak-Kamysz] even allowed himself to be pushed out, and this is the most brutal [...] allowed himself to be pushed out by Domański to the table to sign the EU-German SAFE deal, which was rammed through, and which excludes the possibility of cooperation with the United States when it comes to armaments - said Przemysław Czarnek in an interview on the Rymanowski Live channel.

- If we genuinely want to deter a potential aggressor like Putin, we must buy weapons where they are available today. With this illegal Brussels loan, we are limiting our purchases exclusively to Europe - he continued.

- We would accept this open credit line if it were an additional open credit line on top of what we have today - he went on to say.

20:32

Czarnek:

Without the Senate Pact, We Won't Regain the Senate

- You don't need to be a great strategist to know that without a Senate pact, we won't regain the Senate - said Przemysław Czarnek in an interview on the Rymanowski Live channel.

- I am in favor of a broad Senate pact, but certainly not with people like the ones we just mentioned, including Mr. Grzegorz Braun. However, all other configurations on the broad right that would lead to the Senate being taken back from the left are, in my opinion, worth considering - he continued.

- It's not just with Grzegorz Braun and not just with Konfederacja that such... I will meet with an important politician this week, but I won't mention his name - he went on to say.

- No - he added, when asked if it was a politician from the coalition.

20:47

Are We Seeing the Czarnek Effect? Czarnek: It Depends on Expectations

- It depends on what one expected. My expectations before March 7th, when we were intensely discussing whether I should be a candidate for Prime Minister or not [...] were that firstly, we must stop the decline in the polls for Law and Justice [...] and that has been stopped - said Przemysław Czarnek in an interview on the Rymanowski Live channel, when asked if there was a 'Czarnek effect'.

- Had it not been for the events before Easter [...] unnecessary attention to internal discussions within PiS, which originated from within PiS itself, the effect would probably have been even better - he continued.

- I absolutely never set myself the goal of increasing from 25% to 35% within two months; that is simply impossible - he went on to say.

- It stopped falling - he emphasized.

Czarnek:

Either Tusk and Kierwiński have no control over the services, and someone is forcing the Police and Fire Brigade to take idiotic actions, or they are behind it themselves

- There are two possibilities. Either Tusk and Kierwiński have absolutely no control over the services, and someone is unfortunately forcing the Police and Fire Brigade to take such idiotic actions, like this one, but it was another one, it was already the 20th or 21st absurd intervention of this kind, or they are behind it themselves. There is no other logical possibility - said Przemysław Czarnek in an interview on the Rymanowski Live channel.

- Both possibilities disqualify Tusk and Kierwiński as persons responsible for internal security in the Polish state - he continued.
