Zgorzelski:

Ukraine is on the right side of power in this war. Poland's security line runs along the front.

- For 4 years, Ukraine has been waging a deadly battle against a mortal enemy, not only its own, but ours as well. The fact that 352,000 Russian soldiers have already died in this war shows the immense military and personal effort the Ukrainian army has undertaken. It shows that Ukraine is on the right side of power in this war, not the wrong one, and Poland's security line runs along the Ukrainian-Russian front. This is the layer of the present, but there is also the layer of the future, because in my opinion, Volodymyr Zelensky is beginning to define it in his state logic - stated Piotr Zgorzelski in "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" on TVN24.

- He is already thinking about Ukraine, after winning the war or after some truce, certainly not on Putin's terms, that much is clear, becoming one of the most important leaders in the region. After all, its potential – military, personal, and economic – can place it in such a position in the future. Therefore, the goals that Ukraine has must meet, I don't want to say collide with, Polish goals - he continued.

07:55

Zgorzelski on Zelensky:

There Was Action, There Is Reaction.

- There was action, there is reaction. I believe it's one-to-one. The question is different – will the informal agreement made between President Duda and President Zelensky be honored? It appears not. And this agreement stipulated that both presidents agreed not to name any topographical objects etc. connected with difficult Polish-Ukrainian history, yet it is happening - stated Piotr Zgorzelski on TVN24's "Piasecki's Conversation".

07:58

Zgorzelski:

Zelensky has been to Poland so many times, he had chances to say 'I apologize'. That word was never spoken

- Zelensky has been to Poland so many times. So many times he had the chance to say a simple word that opens many people's hearts – the word 'I apologize'. That word was never spoken. Why? Perhaps because also when it comes to exhumations, they are not treating us fairly - stated Piotr Zgorzelski in "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" on TVN24.

08:02

Zgorzelski on Nawrocki:

The inexhaustible reserves of goodwill in Kosiniak-Kamysz’s heart and mind are running out.

- The inexhaustible reserves of goodwill that were in Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz’s heart and mind, in my opinion, are running out when it comes to the relationship between the Minister of National Defence and the President in a political dimension, because in the constitutional dimension, no one is doing anyone any favors here, neither the President nor Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz – stated Piotr Zgorzelski on TVN24’s “Piasecki’s Conversation”.

08:10

Zgorzelski on the candidate in Krakow:

We are still analyzing all options.

- Certainly, when it comes to the PSL, we are still analyzing all options, including the option of a single candidate, but also other possibilities. We will discuss this, but with our coalition partners - stated Piotr Zgorzelski in "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" on TVN24.

08:29

Bosak Lists Examples:

If We Want to Exert Real Pressure on Ukraine, We Need to Move to More Concrete Gestures.

- Of course - said Krzysztof Bosak in the "Morning Interview" on RMF FM, when asked if Prime Minister Donald Tusk should co-sign the motion to revoke the Order of the White Eagle from Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

- I believe it is a symbolic gesture, but if we want to exert real pressure on Ukraine, we also need to move to more concrete gestures that will simply be effective - he continued.

- First and foremost, we should announce that Poland will block Ukraine's accession to the European Union as long as they do not abandon the cult of criminals and fully unblock all exhumations - he went on to say.

- Stop paying for Starlinks, withdraw from the systems that PiS introduced us to and that the Civic Platform expanded upon, i.e., joint borrowing with other EU countries for Ukraine [...] also opt out of earlier decisions by the Morawiecki government to indebt our country for Ukraine - he added, when asked what else should be done.

08:36

Blocking Aid to Ukraine Transiting Through Rzeszów Airport? Bosak: It's an Instrument That Should Be Used

- This is a postulate based on an optimism that assumes we have full control over our own territory - said Krzysztof Bosak on RMF FM, when asked about the postulate of blocking the flow of aid to Ukraine being transported through Poland, via Rzeszów airport.

- I personally believe it's an instrument that should be used, but with this political class, it will never be used, because, in my opinion, it's not Poles who decide on the flow of strategic resources through Poland - he continued.

08:41

Bosak on Awarding Orders to Presidents of Other Countries Visiting Poland:

It's a Foolish Custom, Let's Change It.

- I think we should primarily stop awarding Polish highest orders to foreigners altogether - Krzysztof Bosak said on RMF FM.

- Let's simply change this custom, it's a foolish custom - he continued, after being pointed out by the host that it is customary to award orders to presidents visiting Poland.

08:45

Bosak on Czarnek's proposal:

This is absurd, it's a marketing ploy.

"He [Przemysław Czarnek] hasn't proposed anything, no proposal has reached us" - said Krzysztof Bosak on RMF FM.

"These are platitudes at Law and Justice meetings to lift their spirits" - he continued.

"We need to burst the inflated balloon of hypocrisy" - he went on to say, when asked about his response to Przemysław Czarnek.

"On the very day we presented our candidate, and for many days it was known who we would present and that we would do it, Przemysław Czarnek calls for the nomination of some mythical joint candidate. This is absurd, it's a marketing ploy" - he added.

08:52

Bosak on Krakow Elections: 'PiS Has No Candidate, Hence These Appeals to Cover It Up'

- In my assessment, PiS has no candidate, and that's why Czarnek's appeal stems from it. [...] In my opinion, there isn't even one good one. There isn't even one who would qualify to run. And in my opinion, these appeals to cover it up result from that - said Krzysztof Bosak on RMF FM.

08:56

Bosak on Same-Sex Couples Who Formalized Their Union Abroad:

Of Course, They Are Not Marriages.

- Just a few years ago, there were no transcriptions of marriages either, no various other things - said Krzysztof Bosak on RMF FM.

- The legal chaos and anarchy caused by the current authorities must be reversed - he continued.

- These are not marriage certificates in the understanding of Polish law - he went on, when asked about people holding same-sex marriage certificates.

- Of course, they are not marriages. They are legal instruments created by other states - he added, when asked if they were not marriages.

- The Supreme Administrative Court issued an unlawful ruling, and this will also have to be rectified - he noted, when asked about the Supreme Administrative Court's ruling on the matter.

09:22

Czarnek:

Zelensky's Recent Actions Show Extreme Disloyalty; He's Barely Recognizable as Ukraine's President

- We have shown great solidarity with our Ukrainian neighbors. We did this particularly because of our own interest, Poland's interest, so that Russian tanks would not stop at the border in Dorohusk, Hrubieszów, and other places, as it would pose a mortal threat to Poland. The Polish nation has shown solidarity with the Ukrainian nation, without asking about their past, without asking where those fleeing from bombs were coming from, without asking about their families. In particular, the Polish nation inhabiting the eastern territories of the Republic of Poland, today's eastern regions, also demonstrated this solidarity - stated Przemysław Czarnek at a press conference.

- In many families from that region, memories of a very painful past, of the genocide that took place before the eyes of those still living today in Volhynia and Eastern Lesser Poland, are still very much alive. Despite this, no one asked the Ukrainians where they were from or if they needed help. I personally saw how it was done and in what way the Polish nation showed solidarity, traveling through eastern Poland, today's eastern Poland, through the Zamość region, Hrubieszów region, or Podkarpacie. Unfortunately, the last few days have shown extreme disloyalty from Mr. Zelensky, whom it is difficult to even call the president of Ukraine anymore. Why? - continued the PiS candidate for Prime Minister.

- Because what Mr. Zelensky is doing, and in particular naming a military unit after UPA heroes, is extreme disloyalty, also towards the Ukrainian nation. Because today, it is likely Moscow that has a particular interest in sowing discord between the Polish and Ukrainian nations. So, Mr. Zelensky is sacrificing his actions for Moscow. Mr. Zelensky, who is still president only because in the initial, especially in the first months of this full-scale war in Ukraine, it was Poland that showed a great diplomatic offensive, and with this great diplomatic offensive, it forced the world to help Ukraine. And this was at a time when the Russians were already on the outskirts, the outskirts of Kyiv - he emphasized.

- Mr. Zelensky, therefore, is president and holds power in Ukraine only because Poland helped him. And this same Zelensky is now slapping Poland in the face. But I repeat – this is primarily an action detrimental to the Ukrainian nation. Mr. Zelensky must know this. Therefore, we fully support the actions of President Karol Nawrocki and his request to the Order of the White Eagle Chapter to revoke this highest state decoration from Mr. Zelensky, who, I repeat once again, has shown extreme disloyalty towards those who allowed Ukraine to continue fighting - added Czarnek.

09:28

We Demand Immediate Withdrawal of This Decision." Czarnek Calls on Zelensky and Tusk

- We also demand that Mr. Zelensky in this situation withdraw from this absurdly harmful decision. I repeat once again in particular - a decision harmful to the Ukrainian state and directed against us, against Poles, to name a military unit after UPA heroes. This is, ladies and gentlemen, as if Germany today, many years after the end of the war, were to name its military unit in Germany after, for example, Rudolf Hess or other heroes of German Nazism. This is exactly the same situation. Therefore, we demand the immediate withdrawal of this decision - stated Przemysław Czarnek at a press conference.

- We also demand immediate consent for the possibility of exhuming all Poles brutally murdered in a genocidal manner, who still lie somewhere in the fields of Ukraine. These are the boundary conditions for Poland's continued solidarity with Ukraine. Poland has shown and Poles have shown solidarity and can continue to show this solidarity and aid to Ukraine. I repeat - in the interest of the Polish state. But at this moment, these conditions were set by Mr. Zelensky himself - he continued.

- Therefore, the withdrawal of the decision to name a military unit after UPA heroes and immediate consent for the exhumation of Poles genocidally murdered in Volhynia. As for the Polish government, for Mr. Tusk, the demands are similar. We demand the immediate resumption of work on the act that I drafted together with the then President of the Institute of National Remembrance, now the President of the Republic of Poland, Dr. Karol Nawrocki, an act prohibiting the promotion of Banderaism on Polish lands, under penalty of punishment - he emphasized.

- We demand from Mr. Tusk the immediate resumption of these works. We demand that he issue an order to his subordinates, to Mr. Czarzasty, so that these works can be continued. We also demand that all actions be taken, especially in the circumstances we have had for several days, aimed at signing agreements by Poland and Polish companies for the reconstruction of Ukraine immediately after the war ends. This is the next boundary condition for Poland's continued solidarity with Ukraine. We also demand an explanation of how much money from the 185 billion zlotys from the Brussels-German SAFE will be allocated to Ukraine - added Czarnek.

09:32

Czarnek:

What happened in Gdańsk was a provocation against the President. Kierwiński and all who oversee the services will be held responsible.

- We have discussed the scandal of the services entering the apartment belonging to the family, specifically to the mother of President Komorowski, on multiple occasions. I know the services from my time as governor of Lublin, and I know that in the case of provocations of this type, the services normally behave completely differently, because there are enlightened individuals who know exactly how to identify false reports and know precisely which apartment they are entering - stated Przemysław Czarnek at a press conference.

- What happened in Gdańsk was a provocation directed at the President. Undoubtedly. For this provocation, first politically, and then prosecutors and courts will clarify, Mr. Kierwiński and all those who oversee the services today, including the commanders of these services, will be held responsible. We will investigate why this provocation occurred and why the services, who know exactly how to identify a provocation. I know this from close cooperation with the services - he continued.

09:35

Says Czarnek After Being Asked About Associations:

TVN Has Many Other Issues It Could Address,

- I am a candidate of Law and Justice, I am not interested in any associations. I believe that Law and Justice is one large, broad party, in which there is room for everyone who also has a different perspective on details, but shares a common foundation, and no associations are needed for that - stated Przemysław Czarnek at a press conference.

- Today we are in a situation where healthcare is collapsing, which you at TVN do not report on. We are in a situation where Tusk's NFZ (National Health Fund) does not want to pay vast millions of zlotys to district hospitals, which are collapsing. You do not want to talk about this at TVN. We are in a situation where unemployment is rising, especially among the youngest, fastest in Europe. You do not want to talk about this at TVN - he continued.

- We are in a situation where electricity in Poland is the most expensive in the European Union relative to purchasing power. You do not want to talk about this at TVN. There are many things that TVN could concern itself with. Truly, the least important thing and the least interesting to Poles is Mr. Morawiecki's association - he emphasized.

Żurek Files Request with European Parliament to Lift Jaki's Immunity

- Prosecutor General Waldemar Żurek submitted a request to the President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola today, seeking the European Parliament's consent to hold MEP Patryk Jaki criminally liable, arrest him, and forcibly bring him to court - the National Public Prosecutor's Office announced.

President Appoints New Commander of the Operational Command of the Armed Forces

President Karol Nawrocki presented Major General Ireneusz Nowak with the letter of appointment to the position of Commander of the Operational Command of the Armed Forces. The new commander replaces General Maciej Klisz in this role.

- Today I am fulfilling my constitutional duty as the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, the President of the Republic of Poland - said President Karol Nawrocki during the ceremony.

- The nation clearly stated in the elections what shape the Polish Armed Forces should take and what it expects from the Commander-in-Chief. Whom to appoint to the most important positions in the Polish Army. These must be officers and generals who have Poland in their hearts. Who have detached themselves from the Soviet and post-Soviet spirit - he continued.

- The nation said it wants officers and generals who are ready to serve in a free, sovereign, and independent Poland, not to turn with the complex characteristic of communism towards the East, towards Moscow, or towards the West - he further stated.

"I would wish that the removal from an important state function would always look like this"

- I would wish, Mr. General, that the removal from an important state function would always look like this [...] this is not just a removal, but an advancement for General Maciej Klisz [...] who will now represent the Republic as Chief of Staff of the Allied Command at the Joint Force Command of the North Atlantic Alliance in Brunssum - the President added.

- I congratulate you on this advancement, Mr. General, and I thank you for your previous work, because indeed, with your life's work, you have proven that the only thing you serve is the Republic of Poland - he emphasized.

"The First Pilot of the Republic of Poland Becomes the Commander of the Operational Command of the Armed Forces"

- Mr. General Ireneusz Nowak, who will be the new Commander of the Operational Command of the Armed Forces, is a man who also educated himself in a free and independent Republic. [...] What is most important, Mr. General, is that we have before us today [...] a pilot of flesh and blood, a pilot who carries within him the beautiful tradition of Polish Air Force and Polish pilots who served the Republic of Poland, both in '39 and in the Battle of Great Britain for all of free Europe under the skies of Great Britain - he stated.

- The Commander of the Operational Command of the Armed Forces is in essence becoming the first pilot of the Republic, the Inspector of the Air Force, also within the General Command of the Armed Forces, and the General brings to his new position what was most important to me when making this decision, namely his experience as the Deputy Commander of the General Command of the Armed Forces - he said.

Tusk on banning mobile phones in primary schools:

This is not an ideal solution. We know that.

- We would not want to limit civil liberties. As far as primary schools are concerned, we will propose a ban on the use of mobile phones by pupils during lessons and breaks. This will of course have a positive impact, provided that we all agree that we truly want it. The experiences of other countries, as well as our own, show that of course, especially when we do not accept certain legal solutions, someone will always find a way to circumvent the law - stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk during a government meeting.

- But we are absolutely convinced that both parents and teachers should solidaristically have such a tool in the form of a legal provision. It will simply be a ban with very few exceptions, for example, if a child needs a phone for health reasons, such as monitoring diabetes, then it is essential. Or in some special cases, for example, on field trips, we would also assume that children could have their phones with them and use them, but as a rule, during lessons and breaks, the use of mobile phones would be prohibited. As I mentioned, this is not an ideal solution. We know that - he continued.

- We have no illusions. I will emphasize this again: as soon as this goes to the Sejm, and also in practice, we will have to constantly strive to build synergy between parents, teachers, and students, and explain to ourselves that we have a serious civilizational problem. This is addiction. Not only that, because you all know well, addiction, well, almost everyone at the moment, but it is particularly harmful to the youngest from the internet, mobile phones, computer platforms, games, etc. - emphasized the head of government.

- And we are aware, but we have been somewhat helpless and powerless until now, but we are aware that this can have fatal consequences, long-term ones, for the lives of our children and young people, and also for the state, and such negative civilizational consequences. Therefore, I will ask for mutual kindness during the work in the Sejm. Such an understanding that we are doing this for the good, above all, of young Poles - he added.

11:51

Tusk on the Proposal to Limit Children's Access to Pornography:

Without Full National Agreement Around This Project, We Will Not Achieve Success.

- This applies equally to access to harmful content and pornographic sites, but also to other harmful content appearing online, such as incitement to suicide or gratuitous violence. This is an even more difficult problem, as it will also require social consensus, because it concerns the verification of the age of those who have or want to have access to the internet and to such content - stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk during a government session.

- This is a question of effective tools for the state to block, to enforce on digital platforms to respect our culture or legal regulations. This is also a long road. It will never end. We are aware of this, but here too, we will need full cooperation from everyone, without exception. This has absolutely nothing to do, I hope, with parties or ideologies - he continued.

- We all probably want to protect our children and young people, but especially the youngest, from harmful content that devastates the minds and emotions of the youngest. This also applies to sites with harmful content from digital platforms. We will be looking for solutions and I would very much ask that we share this sensitivity. You know, control, excessive control, censorship. That's not the point, but some tools that will allow us to manage this reality so that young people do not fall victim to this content. We must do everything to make it effective. This is the first very serious step - emphasized the head of government.

- I emphasize again, I am aware that without full national agreement around this project, we will not achieve success. But I believe that everyone has now matured to the point of tackling this problem, this threat. Thank you very much - he concluded.

12:04

Kosiniak-Kamysz:

Two Mandates Meet, Resulting in Continuity, Diligence, and Reliability in Commanding the Armed Forces

- Mr. President, thank you for appointing the Operational Commander of the Branches of the Armed Forces and for the cooperation in this regard - said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz during the ceremony where the President presented the act of appointment to the position of Operational Commander of the Branches of the Armed Forces.

- The President spoke of the social mandate he holds from a universal election, I represent the governing majority, which also possesses a very strong mandate [...] these two mandates meet, and the result is continuity, diligence, and reliability in commanding the Armed Forces - he continued.

- Congratulations to the new commander [...]. I have also decided that, perhaps for the first time in history, you will be able to continue what is your passion, which is being at the controls of Polish fighter jets. [...] You will be able to continue the mission of operating the F-16 and combining it with command - he further stated.

13:48

Another Veto and Signed Laws:

I Will Not Agree to Burdening Entrepreneurs with the Costs of Fighting Tax Crime.

- Among the laws that landed on my desk, there is unfortunately one that I cannot sign. I have decided to veto the bill expanding the SENT system. The reason is simple – I will not agree to burdening Polish entrepreneurs with the costs of fighting tax crime. Simply put, further bureaucratic and administrative burdens could cause many of them to fail. The state cannot treat every entrepreneur as a potential criminal, especially when we are talking about very small businesses – stated President Karol Nawrocki in a recording published on social media.

- Recently, we saw how ill-considered decisions by the current Minister of Finance affect entrepreneurs with the example of small businesses trading clothing at marketplaces. In their case, SENT operated in such a way that when they transported only a dozen pairs of shoes or a few dozen kilograms of clothes, they had to install a special system to monitor the transport of this cargo, which is SENT – the President of the Republic of Poland continued.

- A system designed to combat fuel cartels has been applied to the transport of a stall with shoes. Should someone who visits various marketplaces every day, often standing in the rain and cold, wanting to earn a living for their family, dedicate their time to further bureaucracy just because the Minister of Finance does not know and understand the lives of Polish entrepreneurs? The SENT system was created to fight tax mafias in sectors particularly vulnerable to abuse, such as fuels – he added.

“Today, attempts are being made to extend it to new industries, including companies producing construction concrete or transport companies. These are thousands of Polish enterprises, often family businesses, which have been working honestly for years, paying taxes and creating jobs. We cannot build the competitiveness of the Polish economy by adding more forms, more reporting obligations, and more costs.

The Polish economy needs deregulation, not a constant expansion of administrative control. It needs trust in entrepreneurs, not increasingly elaborate supervision systems. Small and medium-sized enterprises are the backbone of the Polish economy. They create the majority of jobs. They build the strength of local communities. Every new regulation means additional costs, additional time, and additional risk for them. The state should be a partner to the entrepreneur, not their adversary.

The state must listen to the arguments of these people, not turn its back on them when they seek dialogue. Dear fellow countrymen! Every law that comes before the President of the Republic must answer one fundamental question: does it serve Poland and Poles? If it strengthens citizen security, improves the functioning of the state, and supports the country's development, I will sign it. If it increases bureaucracy, imposes unjustified costs, or restricts citizens' freedom without clear necessity.”

- I am exercising my right of veto. It is not my duty to sign everything. My duty is to always stand on the side of the citizens. A strong state does not mean more regulations. A strong state means wise regulations for citizen security. The freedom of entrepreneurship, responsibility for the common good, and common sense must always prevail over bureaucracy – concluded Karol Nawrocki.

At the same time, the president signed 5 laws:

  • The Act of May 15, 2026, amending the Nature Conservation Act and certain other acts (Sejm print number 1765)
  • The Act of May 15, 2026, amending the Act on the Information System for Servicing Certain Contracts and certain other acts (Sejm print number 2290)
  • The Act of May 15, 2026, amending the Act on Enforcement Proceedings in Administration (Sejm print number 2319)
  • The Act of May 15, 2026, amending the Act on Legal Advisors (Sejm print number 1963)
  • The Act of May 15, 2026, on the National Register of Marked Dogs and Cats (Sejm print number 2293)

Jaki on the Attempt to Strip Him of His Immunity:

One of the Dumbest Motions in the History of the Third Polish Republic.

- A motion has been filed to strip me of yet another immunity and detain me this time, but in reality, this is not about detaining me. If they could, they would really detain and arrest the residents of Krakow, complaining doctors, or anyone facing the current problems. But since they are unable to do that, they must focus public attention elsewhere - Patryk Jaki said at a press conference.

- This motion they presented is one of the most ridiculous, one of the dumbest motions in the history of the Third Polish Republic - he continued.

- Can personnel decisions regarding appointments serve a purpose other than appointments? Following that logic, then Donald Tusk, who appointed Waldemar Żurek as Minister of Justice, committed the crime of appointment, right? - he went on to say.

- This entire accusation boils down to the fact that one official was transferred from place A to place B and, in their opinion, [...] this was not important for the service, and therefore they want to bring charges and detain one of the leaders of a rival party - he added.

- Of course, I would waive this immunity, but there is no such possibility in the European Parliament - he noted, when asked by journalists if he would waive his immunity.

- Of course, I am willing to voluntarily appear for questioning, even tomorrow. I will also propose handing over my passport, please - he stated.

15:48

Tusk:

We Must Not Only Believe But Also Know How to Use the Tools Modern Technologies Offer

- We must not only believe but also know how to use the tools that modern technologies bring, and not allow these technologies, for example, this mythical artificial intelligence, this omnipotent artificial intelligence, to use us as a tool. The most important reflection that should accompany all those responsible for institutions, legislation, actions, and states today, when it comes to artificial intelligence, should be the conviction that as an individual collective, we are all capable of maintaining our sovereign position in relation to modern techniques, so as not to switch roles - stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk during the 16th European Economic Congress.

15:53

Tusk on Artificial Intelligence:

Forecasts Shouldn't Be So Alarmist.

- We cannot settle for such helpless prophecies that artificial intelligence will take control of almost the world and all of us, that we will lose hundreds of thousands, millions of jobs, that this is already happening. The facts are not so pessimistic, and the forecasts should not be so alarmist, and in this sense, it somewhat resembles the beginning of the 19th century. There is no doubt that the development of modern technologies can and will pose challenges for individual industries, for the labor market, undoubtedly, and it can also pose a powerful challenge for the state, including Poland, for example, by making Poland dependent on global companies or the largest world powers in the digital market - stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk during the 16th European Financial Congress.

- But just as in the 19th century, I am convinced that also now, in the 21st century, forecasts have rarely come true and I don't think they will come true more often and more accurately now. Rather than forecasts and prophecies about what artificial intelligence will do to us, we should engage in actions that will restore, especially in the emotional dimension, that sense of control and the awareness that we should possess tools like AI, not AI possessing us - he continued.

16:00

Tusk:

Let's Stop Wondering What Artificial Intelligence Will Do to Us. Let's Wonder What We Will Do With It

- Let's stop wondering what artificial intelligence will do to us. Let's start, like the people gathered here today, who work with such tools every day, wondering what we will do with artificial intelligence. We cannot simply stand by, throw up our hands, and say - no, we have no chance against it. It must be a useful tool - stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk during the XVI European Financial Congress.

Domański Comments on Nawrocki's Decision and Lists Budget Losses:

A Veto Against Honest Entrepreneurs.

"The President first vetoed the prosecution of criminals in the crypto market. Today, he decided to hinder the fight against fraud in the construction market. This is a veto against honest entrepreneurs. Another one. Losses for Poland's budget - PLN 1.2 billion." - wrote Andrzej Domański on X.

Bochenek Names PiS Candidate for Krakow Mayor and Appeals to Confederation

- A certain conclusion from this discussion is also the decision regarding who will be the candidate of Law and Justice in the upcoming elections in Krakow. This candidate, after a unanimous decision by the entire political committee, will be Mr. Michał Drewnicki, a long-serving local government official, a long-serving councilor, and the deputy chairman of the Krakow City Council – said Rafał Bochenek at a press conference following the PiS political committee meeting.

- I would also like to address an appeal to Confederation, if we are to speak of unity on the right, this is also our offer to them, to consider supporting this candidate – he continued.

19:48

Kierwiński on the Motion of No Confidence Against Him:

It's Embarrassingly Weak.

"I read this motion, and it is embarrassingly weak, I have to say, so it will of course be the decision of the MPs, but if I were to assess the quality of this motion, there are substantive errors, formal errors, it's clear that someone there completely doesn't understand what the Ministry of Interior and Administration is about" - said Marcin Kierwiński in an interview with Magda Sakowska on the program "Gość Wydarzeń" (Guest of the Events) on Polsat News, when asked about the motion of no confidence against him.

"It seems to me that the coalition in this type of vote is coherent, homogeneous" - he continued.

19:52

Kierwiński Wants to Defend Police Officers and Firefighters:

I won't let some Bochenek, Morawiecki, or another PiS lackey behave like this.

"I have said this many times, that if they want to attack me, they have this vote of no confidence, let them attack me, that's the job of a politician. But let them leave the services alone, let them leave the Police and the Fire Brigade alone, because these are people who are doing their job" - said Marcin Kierwiński on Polsat News.

"If I hear that Mr. Morawiecki [...] says that the services, meaning the Fire Brigade, attacked the President, then that is a scandal, such a statement should disqualify him from public life, because it is simply a lie" - he continued.

"I won't let some Bochenek, Morawiecki, or another PiS lackey behave like this towards hard-working people" - he went on to say.

19:58

Kierwiński:

The President's mother's apartment was not protected due to no legal grounds, and the Presidential Office didn't request it anyway

- Yes, it is true that the President's mother's apartment was not protected because there are no legal grounds for it, and moreover, the Presidential Office did not in any way [...] request it - said Marcin Kierwiński on Polsat News.

20:02

Kierwiński:

We Will Face False Alarms, I'm Not Optimistic

- Unfortunately, we will have to deal with them. I am not optimistic here, and the practice of recent years shows this. Since 2022, we have seen an increase in this type of false information, and it is remaining at roughly the same level - said Marcin Kierwiński in Polsat News, when asked if we will still face false alarms, or if they can be limited or eliminated.

- The only thing we can do, perhaps not the only thing, but what we should do, are two things. The first issue is to react very firmly, to catch those who perpetrate them - he continued.

- The second condition is a certain social agreement that has been adhered to so far, meaning the Police were reluctant to report such cases because, when these cases are publicized [...] it encourages other people who [...] want to do something similar - he went on to say.

Kierwiński on the Announcement Regarding Stripping Zelensky of an Order:

I Don't Like the Populist Way President Duda is Capitalizing Politically.

- President Zelensky did a terrible thing, I have no doubt about that, but there is also the future of Polish-Ukrainian relations and the fact that we have a war on our eastern border - said Marcin Kierwiński in Polsat News.

- I don't like this simple, populist way of President Duda capitalizing politically here in Poland, without thinking at all about Polish security - he continued.

Kierwiński Asked If Ukraine Should Join the EU:

Ultimately, Yes.

- Today it is impossible, ultimately yes, it should join - said Marcin Kierwiński on Polsat News, when asked if Ukraine should join the EU.

- Of course, it is the role of our diplomacy to enforce full exhumations in Volhynia and to enforce historical truth - he continued.

Kierwiński:

There's an attempt to build a narrative that I became minister and my wife got promoted. That's not true.

- There's an attempt to build a narrative that I became minister and my wife got promoted. No, that's not true. My wife has been working at this company for 6 years. I wasn't a minister then. My wife has the education and competencies she built over many years, she started her professional career from the lowest position - said Marcin Kierwiński on Polsat News.

Kosiniak-Kamysz on the SAFE veto:

It was hatred towards political opponents.

- This is a crime and this is treason. Not because they had a better alternative, not because we argued and supported each other on modernization or more 'Borsuk' or 'Rosomak' [armored vehicles], I'm speaking very colloquially, but I want to show how hateful this veto was, due to the fact that it was hatred towards political opponents and, as a result, a lack of love for Poland - stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz on TVP Info.

20:32

Kosiniak-Kamysz on Zelensky's Decision:

It Causes Pain and Suffering in Millions of Polish Hearts.

- I condemn with all my might President Zelensky's decision to name a unit after the UPA. This is a decision that causes pain and suffering in millions of Polish hearts, given how much we have helped and are helping fighting Ukraine and how important the matter of commemorating Volhynia is to us - stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz on TVP Info.

Kosiniak-Kamysz on the bill on the status of a close person:

Nawrocki spoke of this name, I thought he really wanted to sign it.

"Nawrocki spoke of this name, I thought he really wanted to sign it." Kosiniak-Kamysz on the bill on the status of a close person - Why this name [bill on the status of a close person]? Because President Nawrocki spoke of this name, I thought he really wanted to sign it, to make life easier, to improve functioning, access to medical information, inheritance, tax matters. Simply to give hope for more normality and happiness - stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz on TVP Info.

20:55

Kosiniak-Kamysz on the Right-Wing Senate Pact:

For Us, This is a Demanding and Difficult Situation.

- He wants to be [Karol Nawrocki] the patron of a large United Right camp, in which PiS is just one part. He wants to build a strong camp, and in my opinion, for the Senate, this is already very advanced, and for us, I mean for the Senate pact broadly understood, this is a demanding and difficult situation - stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz on TVP Info.

- As things stand today, if we were to put together such a PiS and Konfederacja Senate pact, even without Braun, along with TV Republika circles, I believe this formation will also build its own political formation before the elections, or a para-formation, some association that will seek its place on the election lists. Then this fight for the Senate, where we currently have a visible advantage, will be very fierce, and in many instances, we could lose in single-member districts. So, we must prepare ourselves very strongly for this - he continued.

20:57

Kosiniak-Kamysz:

I Don't Believe in the Collapse of PiS

- I don't believe in the collapse of PiS. I believe Mateusz Morawiecki is doing this to be the leader of PiS, not to leave it; that his strategic goal is to be the head of the formation - stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz on TVP Info.

21:00

Kosiniak-Kamysz:

The Decision is Clear and Unequivocal – We Are Running Independently

- Naturally, I am preparing my party, as always, for an independent run, and today the decision is clear and unequivocal – we are running independently. Of course, if there were to be some massive reshuffling on the right, with formations from Konfederacja to PiS and other groups building a large coalition list, then one would certainly need to respond to that in various ways - stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz on TVP Info.
