Friday's Political Agenda: Parliament Debates Partnership Unions, Tusk Consults on Youth's Digital Future

At 8:15 AM, the Sejm's Constitutional Accountability Committee will review – in a closed session – the statutory conditions for a preliminary motion to bring former Minister of Justice, Zbigniew Ziobro, to constitutional and criminal accountability before the State Tribunal, as requested by the Marshal of the Sejm.

The Sejm will resume its proceedings at 9:00 AM with a two-hour voting block, during which, among other things, a resolution commemorating the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States of America will be adopted.

Members of Parliament will also vote on a presidential and parliamentary proposal to introduce a ban on keeping pets on leashes, specifically addressing the issue of dogs kept "on a chain".

A government draft bill concerning the status of a next of kin in a relationship and a cohabitation agreement, along with its implementing provisions, will also be put to a vote.

Towards the end of the voting block, a motion filed by private prosecutor Dorota Schnepf, represented by attorneys Wojciech Łączewski and Justyna Borucka, requesting the Sejm's consent to bring MP Zbigniew Ziobro to criminal accountability, will also be voted upon.

At 11:00 AM, the Sejm will hear a report on the Republic of Poland's participation in the European Union's work during the period of July-December 2025. At 12:30 PM, there will be a report on the activities of the Ombudsman and the state of observance of freedoms and human and civil rights in 2025.

At 2:30 PM, the first reading of a parliamentary draft bill on minimum wage for work will take place.

Tusk's Consultations, Lewica and PiS Press Conferences

At 8:15 AM, a press conference by PiS MPs, including Kacper Płażyński and Andrzej Śliwka, will be held at the Sejm. The topic will be the expenditure of funds from the SAFE program.

Around 11:00 AM in the Sejm – shortly after the votes – a press conference by Lewica, with the participation of Katarzyna Kotula, Włodzimierz Czarzasty, and other representatives of the Lewica parliamentary club, will take place.

At 1:00 PM in the Chancellery of the Prime Minister (KPRM), Prime Minister Donald Tusk, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digitization Krzysztof Gawkowski, Minister of Education Barbara Nowacka, and Minister for Oversight of Government Policy Implementation Maciej Berek will participate in consultations titled: "Digital Future of Youth".

07:38

Hołownia:

Tusk Could Have Handled Coalition Teamwork Differently

- I believe Donald Tusk could have handled the issue of teamwork within the coalition a bit differently, which he did not do - said Szymon Hołownia in "First Interview of the Day" on TV Republika.

- Quite strongly - he continued, when pressed by Andrzej Gajcy on whether it was a bit or quite strongly.

07:41

Hołownia:

We Must Urgently Take Stock of What Hasn't Been Delivered

- Today, 1.5 years before the elections, after 2.5 years of the term, we really need to urgently take stock of what hasn't been delivered yet and deliver it, because the stakes of the upcoming elections are quite significant - said Szymon Hołownia on TV Republika.

07:43

Hołownia:

The Constitutional Tribunal in its current form is a parody, a machine working on the opposition's political orders

- I believe that the Constitutional Tribunal in its current form is a parody of the Constitutional Tribunal - said Szymon Hołownia on TV Republika.

- It is simply a machine working on the political orders of today's opposition - he continued.

07:47

Hołownia:

Public Media Are 'On Call.' Media Law Will Be a Major Test for the Coalition

- I don't like the current public media either - said Szymon Hołownia on TV Republika.

- Because they are 'on call' - he continued, when asked "because they are on call, right?"

- Public media in Poland, whether LPR, PSL, or the left was in power, have always been political spoils, and that has to change - he went on to say, when pressed on why they are 'on call.'

- The media law will be a major test for our coalition. I hope we will pass it this year, because if nothing changes in this matter, it means that [...] we have failed in this important area - he added.

07:52

Hołownia on raising the second tax bracket:

If 8 billion was found for a project concerning contributions for artists, then I believe it will be found for this too.

- Today, we, as Poland 2050, say "the second bracket". This is co-financing, valuing the middle class - said Szymon Hołownia on TV Republika.

- But we are optimists. If 8 billion was found, and rightly so, for the government's project concerning contributions for artists who worked on precarious contracts [...] our project also costs 8 billion. If Minister Domański says "we have funds for this", then I believe they will be found for this too - he continued, when asked about the lack of agreement on this within the government.

07:58

Hołownia Defends Subsidies for Artists:

This is Social Justice.

- This is social justice. [...] Do you know that we pay insurance contributions for clergy? - said Szymon Hołownia on TV Republika, referring to the draft act on subsidies for artists.

- So should we also take them away from the clergy? Let's not pay contributions for nuns working in schools, working in social welfare homes, let's not pay for priests. You have to understand, and you probably know this, that there is something more in the nation, there is something more in society, than just material culture - he continued, after the host's question about subsidizing hairdressers and taxi drivers.

- They had precarious employment contracts because that was the employment system. I want them to be in the system - he went on to say.

08:04

Hołownia:

Kapela Should Not Receive Any State Subsidies. What He Does is Pathology, Provocation

- Jaś Kapela [...] should not receive any state subsidies - said Szymon Hołownia on TV Republika.

- What he does, I don't want to use strong words, but it doesn't fit within the bounds of art. For me, sometimes it's pathology, sometimes it's patostreaming, sometimes it's pure provocation, he shouldn't receive any money from programs touched by the Polish state - he continued.

08:05

Hołownia on the Minister of Health:

She Should Be Given Half a Year, a Year for the Next Evaluation.

- If you ask me for my opinion, I expressed it in my last vote, when there was a vote of no confidence regarding Minister Sobierańska-Grenda. I believe, from what I know, that she should be given half a year, a year for the next evaluation and she must deliver results - said Szymon Hołownia on TV Republika.

08:06

Kierwiński on the Mazovia forest fire:

The situation is very, very difficult, but it looks better than it did last night.

- The situation is still very, very difficult, but in my opinion, it looks better than it did last night. It is evident that the firefighters and services worked very well through the night. Now, the next few hours are crucial to properly prepare for the wind that is expected to appear around 2 PM - stated Marcin Kierwiński in an interview with RMF FM.

08:07

Kierwiński on the Forest Fire in Mazovia:

Every Scenario Will of Course Be Analyzed

- We are not assuming [that the fire could have been some kind of provocation, an element of hybrid warfare], although every scenario will of course be analyzed - stated Marcin Kierwiński on RMF FM.

08:10

Kierwiński:

Zelensky Made a Mistake. He Should Understand Poles' Historical Sensitivities

- There will certainly be a reaction from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It is a bad decision by President [Zelensky on naming one of the Ukrainian Armed Forces units after "UPA heroes"], but I also would not want us to react hysterically as MP Płaczek suggests, because President Zelensky has made a mistake, that is a fact, there is no point in discussing it. He should understand the historical sensitivities of Poles, especially since Poland is the country that helps Ukraine the most, but let's always remember what is most important - the most important thing is to defeat Russian imperialism - stated Marcin Kierwiński on RMF FM.

08:20

Hołownia on the Collegium Humanum Case:

There Will Be No Motion or Indictment. It's a Political Game.

- The prosecution has nothing there - Szymon Hołownia said on TV Republika, when asked about the Collegium Humanum case.

- Nonsense, in my opinion, there will be no motion and no indictment - he continued, when asked about an indictment and a request to waive immunity.

- This is a political game, in my opinion - he went on to say, when pressed on why he is being dragged to the prosecutor's office.

- No, in my opinion, the previous team, which, with Prosecutor Tadla, gathered evidence against many people - he added, when asked who was playing this game, whether it was Prime Minister Donald Tusk.

- Donald Tusk, I mean, he would have to be out of his mind to make me a martyr of his own government now - he stated.

08:27

Kierwiński:

Poland's Justice System is in Crisis Due to PiS Politicians' Actions

- The justice system in Poland is experiencing a crisis, a crisis caused by what PiS politicians have been doing. And I see that they want to go even further. I can only reassure you - I am deeply convinced that PiS will not come to power - stated Marcin Kierwiński on RMF FM.

08:37

Kierwiński:

Polish Services Are on Romanowski's Trail, and These Are Promising Leads

- He will return to Poland [Marcin Romanowski]. I can promise you that. As soon as the conditions allow for it. I don't want to create a false narrative or rhetoric here that I personally know where Mr. Romanowski is, but Polish services are on Mr. Romanowski's trail, and these are promising leads - stated Marcin Kierwiński on RMF FM.

- Everything indicates that he is in a place from which his return to Poland is possible - he continued.

09:34

Czarnek Calls on the Coalition:

Don't Fear von der Leyen, Fear Poles.

- It is impossible to simply ignore something that has never happened in Poland before. 54 million złoty - this is the amount that the National Health Fund (NFZ) has withheld and no longer wishes to pay at all to the provincial hospital in Szale Kraśnickiej in Lublin. 5 million zł - the amount that the NFZ has withheld, meaning you, the Tusk government, the Kosiniak-Kamysz government, the Lublin Oncology Center, and no longer wishes to pay - stated Przemysław Czarnek in the Sejm.

- 10 million zł - this is the amount you do not want to pay to the county hospital in Janów Lubelski, and also in Łuków. You are robbing Poland, Polish hospitals, driving them to ruin, closing them down, paying them to close departments, not to treat patients. You cannot find the money for this, so at least help us with one thing – pass a resolution for us to leave the ECJ, to lower electricity prices for hospitals as well. Can you do that? Don't fear von der Leyen, fear Poles - he continued.

09:37

Sejm Adopts Resolution on Polish-American Relations and Commemoration of the 250th Anniversary of the USA's Founding

The Sejm has adopted a resolution concerning Polish-American relations and the commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States of America.

- Polish-American friendship is important for Polish society and is recognized across political divisions - emphasized the MPs in the adopted document.

10:11

Sejm Passes Bill on Next-of-Kin Status; 4 PSL MPs Vote Against

230 MPs supported the bill on the status of the next-of-kin in a registered partnership and cohabitation agreement, while 198 voted against and 1 abstained.

The government's proposal was supported by the coalition clubs, although 4 PSL MPs voted against it (Marek Biernacki, Andrzej Grzyb, Urszula Nowogórska, and Jacek Tomczak). The PiS and Konfederacja clubs also voted unanimously against.

10:55

Nawrocki:

I Have the Impression, and Many Poles Share It, That the Government is Detaching Itself from the Needs of Poles

- First and foremost, the rulers should go out to the people. The government, the Polish government, and the Polish president are there to read the social emotions of Polish women and men. I have the impression, and many Poles share this impression, that the government is detaching itself from the needs of Poles, focusing on matters that are not the most important for Poles, and healthcare is certainly one of those things - stated President Karol Nawrocki in a conversation with journalists.

10:56

Nawrocki:

The Source of All Problems is the State of Public Finances, Brought About by the Current Minister of Finance

- I always emphasize that the source of all problems in Poland is the state of public finances, which the current Minister of Finance has led us to. Wherever we look, whether it's science, healthcare, or social issues, we see that there is no money in the Polish budget. The deficit is reaching new heights, and this is concerning - stated President Karol Nawrocki in an interview with journalists.

10:59

Nawrocki on Zelensky:

He Proved That Ukraine, Mentally, Is Not Ready to Be Part of the European Family.

- Of course, I assess this very critically. President Zelensky, much is being said about this, including in Poland, and successive political circles, successive politicians are being stigmatized for repeating what is called Russian propaganda, and today it must be said clearly – the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, has provided the best material and a lot of oxygen to Russian propaganda. I assess this very critically - stated President Karol Nawrocki in an interview with journalists.

- This is also proof that those who said Ukraine should enter the EU without any expectations were very mistaken. Unfortunately, President Zelensky has proven that Ukraine, mentally, by glorifying bandits and murderers from the Ukrainian Insurgent Army, is not ready to be part of the European family - he continued.

11:02

Nawrocki wants to strip Zelensky of the Order of the White Eagle:

I am outraged.

- I have taken the appeal of the Polish nation and MP Płaczek, who sent me such an appeal, very seriously. And on June 8, a meeting of the Chapter of the Order of the White Eagle will take place. I have proposed that one of the items on the agenda be the revocation of the Order of the White Eagle from President Zelensky. Of course, this is not the president's decision; the final decision rests with the president, but by telling you about certain mechanisms, the chapter must convene. I am outraged - stated President Karol Nawrocki in an interview with journalists.

11:07

Kosiniak-Kamysz Made a Fool of Himself, the Government Didn't Do Its Job. Nawrocki Sends a Message to the Government

- I have no information about any ongoing talks or discussions. The National Security Bureau (BBN) has not conducted any analyses. What kind of answer would you expect from a logically thinking president who is to take responsibility for a signed document? It is natural that if I want to sign a document, I must be aware of its content, and I must ask my security experts what they think. This is not thinking that the Chancellery is the center of the universe, but rather we want to be equipped with knowledge before the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, the President of the Republic of Poland, signs. Therefore, Prime Minister Kosiniak-Kamysz has made a fool of himself; the government has not done its job; Prime Minister Kosiniak-Kamysz has not done his job - stated President Karol Nawrocki in an interview with journalists.

- Once again, a message to the government: if you want me to sign anything, inform me about the content of the document being signed - he continued.

11:12

Nawrocki on the Ministers of Justice and Interior:

In any normal country, they would resign.

- In any normal country, after what has happened in recent days, weeks, months, the ministers, whether the Minister of Justice or the Minister of the Interior, would simply resign. This is required by a certain work ethic in politics - stated President Karol Nawrocki in an interview with journalists.

- If 20-year-old 'batmen' were able to destabilize the functioning of the Polish state for an entire week, at a time when serious threats exist at our eastern border, if on one hand the Minister of Justice is pursuing a former MP in the state of Washington, while simultaneously releasing a 20-year-old 'batman' from prison, if we see what is happening around false alarms, then the entire public opinion probably expects that such politicians will submit to a certain social verification. Something is not working - he continued.

11:14

Nawrocki:

Justice Minister Responsible for Epstein Affair Team, Yet Fails to Resolve Kłodzko Scandal

- The Minister of Justice is responsible for the team that is resolving the Epstein affair, and yet is unable to resolve the Kłodzko affair. I would like the nation to be aware that we are participating in a kind of spectacle - stated President Karol Nawrocki in a conversation with journalists.

11:17

"We're Counting on a Signature": Kotula Appeals to Nawrot on the Bill on the Status of the Closest Person

- This is a historic moment. For the first time, the Sejm has adopted the government's draft bill on partnership unions. This bill would not have been possible without the Left in the government, it would not have been possible without the Left in the Sejm - said Katarzyna Kotula at a press conference.

- We know this is not the maximum project, but it is a project of dignity. A project that, if it comes into force, will guarantee a sense of security for many couples [...]. The bill will be sent to the Senate, and we hope it will reach the President's desk as soon as possible - she continued.

- The government has done its part, the Sejm has done its part, it's time for the Senate, and then, Mr. President, it's time for you. You have repeatedly declared that you will sign a bill that helps people. This is that bill. This bill gives people a sense of security - she went on to say.

- You have repeatedly declared that you will sign the bill on the status of the closest person. This is the bill on the status of the closest person. This bill takes nothing away from anyone, it guarantees a sense of dignity, it guarantees a sense of security - she added.

- Mr. President, we will fight for this bill to the very end, we are counting on a good conversation and we are counting on the President's signature - she emphasized.

11:18

Nawrocki Asked About the Law on the Status of the Closest Person:

I Am a Guardian of the Constitution.

- I am a guardian of the Constitution. Despite being critical of the 1997 Constitution after over 30 years, as I regularly repeat, I will be a guardian of this Constitution until the end of mine or its. This Constitution explicitly states that marriage is a union of a woman and a man. I will not sign any law that constitutes an alternative to marriage - stated President Karol Nawrocki in a conversation with journalists.

- In accordance with my campaign promises and in good faith, in accordance with the negotiations that are also taking place in the Presidential Palace between various communities, I am ready to sign a law that will not be ideological, will not create a loophole for an alternative to marriage and undermining the Polish Constitution, but if we find solutions that will help people in the status of the closest person with formal and administrative functioning, functioning, and will not carry with them solutions of ideological pressure or an attempt to undermine the unique status of marriage, then I will sign such a law. I hope that such a solution can be developed - he continued.

11:19

Nawrocki:

Tusk as Prime Minister with Access to Secret Services' Information Stood with a Zondacrypto T-shirt

- I have a more disturbing piece of news, I hope the editor will also ask the Prime Minister, because while I was only a presidential candidate and this company [Zondacrypto] was one of many sponsors of an event I participated in, we now have the Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland who, as Prime Minister and also with access to secret services' information, already stood as the Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland with a Zondacrypto t-shirt. I think this is more disturbing - stated President Karol Nawrocki in a conversation with journalists.

11:27

Kotula on the Draft Bill Regarding the Status of the Nearest Person:

I See No Substantive Argument for a Veto.

"We spoke with the Presidential Palace and with the President's ministers. We didn't hear any specific accusations," said Katarzyna Kotula at a press conference when asked about the President's indication that he would not sign the partnership bill and about potential alternative ideas for introducing these solutions.

"Unfortunately, there are no substantive arguments from the Law and Justice party or the Presidential Palace for a veto of this bill, because it is a good, compromise bill that takes nothing away from anyone, poses no threat to the family or marriage," she continued.

"We are waiting for substantive comments from the Presidential Palace. We are, of course, ready, I am ready to talk until the very end, until the last moment. Today, unfortunately, I see no substantive argument for a veto, nor is there any proposal from the other side," she added.

11:36

Tusk:

Zelensky's Decision Offends Our Historical Sensibilities

- We have a very serious problem. President Zelensky's decision [...] it obviously offends our historical sensibilities and, in my opinion, unnecessarily raises the issue of these historical differences to a rather disturbing level again - Prime Minister Donald Tusk told journalists in the Sejm.

- Every nation has the right to its own interpretations, but President Zelensky and our Ukrainian friends must be aware of what the grim legacy of the UPA means from the perspective of every Polish woman, every Polish man - he continued.

11:44

Tusk on Nawrocki and Zelensky:

I Would Expect Them to Rise Above Historical Emotions.

- This decision [by Zelensky] is worrying from the perspective of our relations. The information that President Nawrocki is reacting to this with a proposal to revoke the Order of the White Eagle from President Zelensky, which was awarded to him by President Duda, is a similar step - said Prime Minister Donald Tusk in a conversation with journalists in the Sejm.

- I would very much like the presidents of both countries to wisely ensure that our relations are as good as possible. For Poland and for Ukraine, our friendship, cooperation, and alliance against the Russian threat have been and continue to be invaluable. We could, and still have the chance to, overcome those somber fragments of our history that have weighed down our relations, but this requires imagination and sensitivity from both of them - he continued.

- I would expect both presidents to be able to rise above these historical emotions and try to build this difficult but necessary Polish-Ukrainian friendship and cooperation, because without it, both sides will lose - he went on to say.

11:50

Tusk:

If Zelensky and Duda Lead Historical Disputes, the Kremlin Will Have Reason to Rejoice

- If President Zelensky and President Duda become leaders of historical disputes and emotions, then the Kremlin will truly have reason to rejoice, because if anyone will be happy about that, it will certainly be Moscow, and that would be the most unfortunate thing - said Prime Minister Donald Tusk in a conversation with journalists in the Sejm.

11:53

"Ambassador Summoned": Tusk on Government's Reaction to Zelenskyy's Decision

- The Polish government reacted to President Zelenskyy's decision; the ambassador was summoned - Prime Minister Donald Tusk told journalists in the Sejm.

- We are reacting, but our task, the task of every sensible person on both sides of the border, is to de-escalate tensions, because we have one enemy. We have some problems between us, but there cannot be hostility or negative emotions, because the adversary is one - he continued.

11:56

Kosiniak-Kamysz on the Polish-British Treaty:

The President is not involved in the creation of this agreement.

- The President is not involved in the creation of this agreement; he is not the parliament, he is not the government. He is part of the executive branch, which has the right to decide whether to sign or not. The President has the right to decide, I do not take that right away from him, but let him not take away our right to say that we have prepared the best possible treaty, that this treaty strengthens Polish security, and after this message, in my opinion, the President and his representatives should express satisfaction and joy, not deny it and look for a flaw, as always, but play in the same team - stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz at a press briefing in the Sejm.

11:56

Tusk on Nawrocki:

He Has a Need to Violate, to Break the Constitution, as if He Were Bored.

- I would also very much ask all those who are commenting on this matter to look into the Constitution. It's not complicated. The government conducts international policy. The government prepares treaties and signs them, and the president has the sacred right, once a treaty is established, to ratify or not ratify that treaty. He evaluates this treaty. The president does not work on the treaty - Prime Minister Donald Tusk said in an interview with journalists in the Sejm.

- This is another episode in this grim series. Previous presidents had the same issue, but this one is at an exceptionally high level with this need to violate, and sometimes even break, the Constitution, in order to seize as much power as possible, as if he were bored - he continued.

- He has enough of his own work, he shouldn't try to violate the Constitution and encroach on competences that are exclusively governmental. Really, it's so very sometimes infantile - he went on to say.

12:03

Kosiniak-Kamysz Advises Nawrocki to Call Zelensky:

As If He Listened to Braun.

- Does the President’s motion give hope for building those partnership, friendly relations, commemorating the victims, and blocking this? I don’t think so. I think it’s more of a reaction to Mr. Braun’s motion, which was just put forward in the Sejm. Representatives of Mr. Braun, meaning the President, as if listened to Mr. Braun’s voice and is implementing his policy in this regard. I believe President Nawrocki would have done better if he had picked up the phone and called President Zelensky and said that we fundamentally disagree with this decision and that it does not contribute to building good neighborly relations and is painful, it simply causes pain to Poles and Poland - stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz at a press briefing in the Sejm.

12:11

Tusk on the future of the nearest person status bill:

It's much easier for the President to block than to help, so it's hard to be optimistic.

- We have prepared a project that was not radical, one that aims to make people's lives easier, simply for the sake of normality. It concerns both hetero and homosexual partnerships, it does not exceed a human sense of decency, and I am convinced that every decent person should think very deeply before making a negative decision - said Prime Minister Donald Tusk in an interview with journalists in the Sejm.

- Please don't ask me what the president will do, because for a long time now I haven't felt in the least bit qualified to imagine what the president intends to do. All we know is that it's much easier for the president to veto and block than to help, so it's hard to be optimistic here - he continued.

12:14

Tusk on the Mazovia Fire:

It's Much Better Than It Was Late Yesterday Evening.

- It is, of course, too early to say that the situation is fully under control, but as I said, and this is evident not only from the report but also with the naked eye, it is much better than it was late yesterday evening. A lot depends on the wind, which is slowly picking up again, but people are prepared here - Prime Minister Donald Tusk stated at a press conference.

12:18

"€6 Billion to Our Account." Tusk: First Installment from SAFE Has Arrived

- The first installment from SAFE has arrived, which is 6 billion euros to our account, so this program is moving forward at an impressive pace - Prime Minister Donald Tusk told journalists in the Sejm.

15:07

Kosiniak-Kamysz on the Arrest of a PGZ Employee on Espionage Charges:

We Are Protecting Polish Armament Industry,

- We are not only signing very important armament contracts as part of the SAFE program, but we are also effectively protecting the Polish armament industry - wrote Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz.

- On May 27, by order of the District Prosecutor's Office in Poznań, the military division detained a Polish citizen, an employee of one of the facilities within the PGZ Group, on charges of espionage for a foreign state - Article 130, paragraph 2. The evidentiary material was gathered by the Military Counterintelligence Service (SKW) with the support of the Internal Security Agency (ABW). On May 29, the District Court in Poznań ordered the application of preventive measures in the form of temporary arrest for a period of 3 months - emphasized the Deputy Prime Minister.

15:22

Sikorski:

The President Must Understand He Is Part of the Polish State, Not Above It

- The President must understand that he is part of the Polish state, not standing above the Polish state, that he too has obligations. Procedures also apply to him, and he is not above the government. If the President wanted to be a president who is the head of the executive branch, he should have run for president in France or the USA. In Poland, the president is not the head of the executive branch; he represents the policy pursued by the government. As for cooperation, please read Article 133 of the Constitution, which states that it is the president who cooperates with the Prime Minister and the relevant minister, not the other way around – stated Radosław Sikorski at a press conference in Sopot.

15:27

Sikorski appeals to Nawrocki:

There was already a president who was asked, despite lacking the competence, for approval to choose a reserve airport.

- This is not only harmful to the state, it is dangerous. Because I remind you, there was already a president who usurped the right to make decisions that were not within his competences. A president, as a passenger on a government plane, does not decide how to pilot that plane. But there was already a president who was asked, despite lacking the competence, for approval to choose a reserve airport. And he did not make that decision in time. We all know how it ended. And I would ask President Nawrocki not to go down that path - stated Radosław Sikorski at a press conference in Sopot.

15:29

Sikorski:

The EU Cannot Be a Mediator, We Are a Party. We Are on Ukraine's Side

- Firstly, I believe the EU cannot be a mediator because we are a party. We are on Ukraine's side, not between Ukraine and Russia. And secondly, one must adhere to treaties and procedures; the EU is represented by the Council President, secondly by the High Representative, and thirdly, one can of course appoint a special envoy for a specific matter, but there is also a procedure for appointing such a special envoy - stated Radosław Sikorski at a press conference in Sopot.

16:17

US Ambassador on Resolution Adopted by the Sejm:

Friendship Forever.

- America and Poland: Friendship Forever - wrote the US Ambassador Tom Rose on social media, referring to the resolution adopted today by the Sejm.

17:45

Czarnek in Gdańsk: Solidarity Was Born Here, and We Need It Today, Because Tusk and His Team Govern Poland Un-Polishly

- Solidarity was born here, and we need this solidarity today, ladies and gentlemen. We need solidarity today because Tusk and his team govern Poland un-Polishly. They govern Poland as if they themselves were not among those who are masters of their own house. They govern Poland as if they were favoring, and not just as if, but as if they favor foreign interests, foreign courts, foreign powers, foreign ambassadors, and we want to be heirs. Every Pole should be the master of their own house - said Przemysław Czarnek in Gdańsk.

17:50

Czarnek Appeals to Confederation Leaders:

Krzysiu, Sławek, Let's Choose a Joint Candidate.

- On behalf of Law and Justice, as Vice-Chairman of Law and Justice, in agreement with Chairman Jarosław Kaczyński and Mr. Piotr Milowański, the Secretary-General of our structures, I am addressing Krzysztof and Sławek. To Krzysztof Bosak and Sławek Mentzen - said Przemysław Czarnek in Gdańsk.

- I am addressing the Confederation, as I have been for many months, saying "peace on the right." I know I am being criticized, completely senselessly, completely blindly [...] I hold no grudges. That's politics - he continued.

- Krzysiu, Sławek, let's choose a joint candidate for the Mayor of Krakow - he appealed.

- Let us, Law and Justice and the Confederation, nominate [...] a joint candidate for the Mayor of Krakow, preferably from outside party structures, but that is negotiable. The method of selecting this candidate is also negotiable. Let's sit down at the table and talk. But only a joint candidate of the right is capable of winning in Krakow, capable of bringing order there - he emphasized.

- I appeal to the Confederation: peace on the right, unity for Krakow and for all of Poland - he added.

18:03

Czarnek:

We are leaving the ETS, returning to the base, to coal. The cheapest energy storage is a coal heap

- We cannot burden our children, our grandchildren with poverty, and the ETS is burdening them with poverty. Therefore, ladies and gentlemen, we are leaving the ETS. Therefore, ladies and gentlemen, we are returning to the base. Therefore, we want, we have no other choice [...] let us repeat once again: our energy base is coal. Coal. The cheapest energy storage is a coal heap, which does not spoil - said Przemysław Czarnek in Gdańsk.

Czarnek:

Zelensky Should Be Ashamed. Ukrainian Authorities Have No Right to Look in the Mirror

"Mr. Zelensky, just like the Ukrainian ambassador to Poland, should be ashamed. The Ukrainian authorities can no longer look themselves in the mirror, they have no right to look in the mirror," said Przemysław Czarnek in Gdańsk.

"It was Poland that first showed solidarity, learned here in this BHP hall, with the Ukrainian nation; it was Poles who received Ukrainians without asking [...] they didn't ask 'where are you from?'. A mother with a child would pass by, they took them in, fed them, brought donations to gymnasiums, closed schools to accommodate children," he continued.

"It was the Polish state, from your money, from all our money, that immediately accelerated aid to Ukraine to stop Putin [...]. It was thanks to our help and our great diplomatic action [...] that we forced the world to start helping Ukraine, because the Russians were already almost in Kyiv," he went on to say.

"And these people, who are sitting in their chairs today, often, as we know, also steal from their Ukrainian nation through corruption on an unprecedented scale, these people today are naming military units after UPA heroes. This is, ladies and gentlemen, as if Germany, as part of Polish-German reconciliation, named its military unit, preferably somewhere near the Polish border, after the NSDAP [...] or the heroes of the Third Reich, or the SS. This is unbelievable," he added.

"This is not just an insult to us, it is not just spitting in our faces for the help we have provided. It is also, and let's say it plainly, an action detrimental to the Ukrainian nation. The authorities of Ukraine, with Zelensky at the head [...], are acting to the detriment of the Ukrainian nation," he emphasized.

Czarnek Wants the Order of the White Eagle Revoked from Zelenskyy:

We Fully Support the President.

"We fully support President Karol Nawrocki, who has ordered that on June 8th, the Chapter of the Order of the White Eagle, Poland's highest decoration, revoke the Order of the White Eagle from Zelenskyy," said Przemysław Czarnek in Gdańsk.

"We also call on the Polish authorities to immediately summon the Ukrainian ambassador, and not to talk nonsense like Tusk today, that if we deal with the past, someone will take away our future. There is no just future for people without a just past. We will not be trampled upon," he continued.

Towards Ukraine:

You Won't Reverse Your Decision, We'll Stop Helping You." Czarnek Proposes "Radical Measures

– This is the time, ladies and gentlemen, to take radical measures. You won't reverse your decision, we'll stop helping you. You reverse your decision, you respect the memory of Poles bestially murdered by the OUN-UPA [...] then we will continue to help you – said Przemysław Czarnek in Gdańsk.

– You can count on the solidarity of Poland and the Polish nation, but only when you reciprocate exactly the same way – he continued.

Czarnek Addresses Bosak:

I Don't Want You to Lie.

"To Krzysztof Bosak, the Deputy Marshal of the Sejm [...] after his performances yesterday on Polsat, I want to say one thing: dear Krzysztof, when you were still trying to study, I was the Voivode of Lublin, who directly opposed the nationalist Ukrainian spectacle at the cemetery in Sahryń" - said Przemysław Czarnek in Gdańsk.

"I immediately notified the prosecutor's office [...] it was me, not you, Krzysztof, whom the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ukrainian IPN wanted to remove from the position of Voivode and demanded this from the Polish state, but we did not yield. Do you know why? Because it was us, Law and Justice, who first passed a resolution immediately after the victory in '15, in which we called what happened in Volhynia and Eastern Lesser Poland genocide" - he continued.

"It was us, Law and Justice, who erected or participated in erecting many monuments in honor of our compatriots. It was us who allocated well over 160 million zlotys [...] to the Museum of Memory of the Victims of the Volhynian Massacre, the genocide in Volhynia, and the Lech Kaczyński Center for Truth and Reconciliation" - he went on to say.

"It was us who did all of this [...] and I do not wish for you to lie to the public opinion" - he added.

Czarnek Announces Changes to Health Contribution:

Immediately, Once We Have a Majority.

- Immediately, once we have a majority, we will change the way the health contribution is calculated for micro and small entrepreneurs, those who earn the least, because some micro-entrepreneurs earn even 150,000 PLN per month and even a million PLN per month [...] they can afford a higher contribution - said Przemysław Czarnek in Gdańsk.

- Hairdressers, tailors, small bakers will indeed be treated differently - he continued.

Job Opportunities, Housing Loan Availability, Marriage Promotion. Czarnek on His Ideas for Improving Demographics

- You know exactly why and how children are born [...] but for them to be born [...] there must be conditions, there must be an offer from the state towards young people - said Przemysław Czarnek in Gdańsk, responding to a question from the audience about demographics.

- Job opportunities [...] when people are unemployed, they don't make decisions to have offspring, to start families [...] there must be housing [...]. There must also be, ladies and gentlemen, access to loans, but sensible ones, not ones that inflate housing market prices, but sensible ones, which on the one hand would be truly safe, meaning when a family takes out a loan, they know that in 10 years they will be paying so much - he continued.

- There must also be education. There must be education for family life. [...] There must be promotion of marriage, not some nearest person status adopted today by the Polish People's Party - he went on to say.

- There must be promotion of fertility, there must be promotion of responsibility, not selfishness - he added.

- We also have to take care of our children and grandchildren and not tell them [...] "don't get married yet," "finish your studies," "earn some money," "see the world," "why do you need a second child now," "wait," "just have fun for a bit" - he emphasized.
