At 11:00 AM, the Sejm's Committee for State Control will provide an opinion to the Marshal of the Sejm regarding the President of the Supreme Audit Office's motion to dismiss Małgorzata Motyl from the position of Vice-President of the Supreme Audit Office.

At 3:00 PM, a press conference by NBP President Adam Glapiński will be held, focusing on the assessment of the current economic situation in Poland.

At 3:00 PM, the Senate's Health Committee will consider an amendment to the Act on Publicly Financed Healthcare Benefits – in practice, this is a citizen's bill proposing the introduction of in vitro financing.

- The act, which was supposedly going to be the best in the world and which we debated yesterday, was praised so highly by a swarm of MPs from the parliamentary majority, led by Ms. Hennig-Kloska, that it turned out to be so brilliant that a 69-page amendment removed wind turbine issues from it. This only proves that something was wrong with it from the start. Thanks to journalists, activists, and also PiS politicians raising this issue and sounding the alarm, it was possible to halt a very bad addition, which under the guise of freezing energy prices, would have led to the expropriation of people for wind turbines – stated Radosław Fogiel on PR1's "Sygnały dnia" (Signals of the Day).

- I have no sympathy [for Prime Minister Morawiecki], I believe he deserved this chance and a complete, final political disgrace - stated Marek Belka in "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" on TVN24.

- This is just a waste of time, but perhaps worse than a waste of time. It is an opportunity for the outgoing government to further entrench its control over institutions, to steal more money. In short, to hinder the normalization of the economy and society - he continued.

- It is untrue [that we halted the development of wind farms]. Wind energy has been civilized so that the welfare of citizens is preserved, not that of wind turbine producers. This is natural in a civilized country, and it is precisely what the parliamentary majority attempted to attack with this wind turbine amendment. They wanted to drastically reduce the distance of wind turbines from buildings. Interestingly, throughout the justification, they spoke of 500 meters, while the law states 300 meters. This suggests the law was written for lobbyists - stated Radosław Fogiel in "Sygnały dnia" on PR1.

- We definitely need to start with salary increases for teachers, for public sector employees. Absolutely [we must fulfill this commitment]. However, I think that raising the tax-free amount can be spread over several years - stated Marek Belka in the "Piasecki Interview" on TVN24.

- We are demanding a parliamentary inquiry into the wind turbine act because we are faced with a situation where, to this day, we don't know who brought this act. First, MP Hennig-Kloska boasted on social media, publishing photos of how hard she was working on this act. When it turned out that the matter had gone awry, she recently explained on one of the television stations that she basically doesn't know where it came from, that Borys Budka brought her this act - stated Radosław Fogiel in "Sygnały dnia" on PR1.

- I believe we should not continue, at least in my opinion, to roll out the red carpet for retirees. I think raising the tax-free allowance is already a sufficient relief, a sufficient privilege for this segment of society - stated Marek Belka on TVN24's "Rozmowa Piaseckiego".

- On the one hand, there is social pressure to do something about it, sharp criticism of the actions of President [Adam Glapiński], and it's not even about the interest rate policy he pursued, because people are more or less accepting of it in the context of inflation. However, his statements, his demonstrative bond with the government, all of this makes for social pressure to do something about Glapiński. But on the other hand, his constitutional position is very strong. If we have reservations about his monetary policy or the way he speaks about monetary policy, that is not a reason for any proceedings before the State Tribunal. If there are any reasons to bring him before a common court, then fine. I don't have any special information or particular knowledge on this matter - stated Marek Belka in "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" on TVN24.

- There is a dilemma here. On the one hand, there is social pressure for this State Tribunal for Glapiński, and on the other hand, as a former head of the NBP, I am at least skeptical about it - he continued.

- At the stage when the [wind turbine] bill enters the Sejm, all solutions are possible and this is what needs to be discussed. If a group of MPs introduces a bill, they have the right to do so; 15 signatures are enough and the bill can be submitted to the Sejm. However, what has changed compared to the previous term is that there is no forceful pushing through by the parliamentary majority, but rather reflection. If a bill is undefined, if it does not meet specific criteria, and the other coalition partners do not fully support it, it simply needs to be improved. Of course, yes [this wind turbine bill was underdeveloped and imperfect] – stated Marek Sawicki on RMF24.

- That is why [the energy price freeze in the draft bill is extended until June] because we do not know the state of the state's finances. The budget bill submitted by the previous government in September provides for a deficit of over PLN 160 billion in the budget and approximately PLN 400-20 billion in off-budget deficit. How it truly is, we don't know, what the commitments are, how many new contracts and new commitments have been signed in these last eleven days of this government, so to speak, we don't know – said Marek Sawicki in RMF24.

- Indeed, the parliamentary mode, still operating under transitional conditions due to the change of Sejm term, is not the best mode. First, the President delayed the inauguration of this Sejm's work by a whole month. Now, a month-long game with the Morawiecki government. We've lost two months, and let's add to that the 2 months where the parliamentary majority didn't work at all, as all ministers were involved in the election campaign. So, we have 4 lost months, and today we cannot make up for it in 3 weeks, or the 2 weeks of Christmas. Because, in reality, this majority will only start functioning from December 15th - stated Marek Sawicki on RMF24.

- This is a historic time for the National Bank of Poland, a historic disgrace. A historic time for Law and Justice politicians, because that's where the survival raft is, perhaps a historian is needed to describe it somewhere in golden letters. And speaking quite seriously, it shows that the most loyal comrades of Law and Justice, who were for special tasks such as Mr. Minister Soboń, who implemented the "New Deal," are finding a place on the raft next to their other colleagues from Law and Justice - stated Urszula Pasławska in an interview with Grzegorz Kępka on the program "Graffiti" on Polsat News.

- I have the conviction that we must act unconventionally, because the inaction of Law and Justice would cause bills to significantly increase on January 1st. Therefore, we are proceeding, and our intentions are clear and unambiguous - stated Urszula Pasławska on Polsat News.

- It is certainly worth talking to the authors of this act, many MPs signed it. Today we will need bold decisions that will very quickly introduce the law enabling energy transformation. Ms. Hennig-Kloska is a competent person, I believe she will be an excellent minister - stated Urszula Pasławska on Polsat News.

- This has been happening, I think, since our second meeting with Donald Tusk, if I remember correctly. Both the coalition framework agreement and how reality is described – which is important for all of us. And for The Left, it constitutes programmatic DNA. Social policy, care for women, and for example, when it comes to exclusion and the wage gap that existed. Leading to a situation where more housing is built, but for rent, so that those who don't have a down payment or can't afford a mortgage can manage. This was included in the exposé and the framework agreement, and I think this is also a basis to say yes. In Donald Tusk's exposé, all parties will find something for themselves, and I believe this is good news for Poland – stated Krzysztof Gawkowski in the program "Kwadrans Polityczny" on TVP1.

- Mr. Speaker, esteemed chamber, I would like to submit a motion for a recess and to convene the Convention. You probably don't know what happened yesterday at the joint meeting of the finance and energy committee. You were squawking here four years ago, but you must have been reading from a mobile phone because you don't know the anthem. We taught you that at demonstrations and gatherings we hold Polish flags, not rainbow ones, not any others, only Polish flags – stated Przemysław Czarnek in the Sejm.

- We have a problem with the limited number of members assigned to the investigative committee by law. It cannot exceed 11, and at the same time, the law requires representativeness, meaning that all those represented in the Convention of Seniors should have their place, and on the other hand, it requires proportionality, because it is stated that it should be in accordance with the numbers, and parliamentary mathematics is very difficult here. It is very difficult with the current proportions to arrange this parity well, so we are working very intensively on this today, and we will make decisions on this matter today, after the Sejm passes this investigative committee; only then can the Sejm Presidium convene and approve this parity - stated Szymon Hołownia in the Sejm.

- She is on this list, nothing has changed in this matter [the list of ministers in Donald Tusk's new government]. No correction has been made and I don't think there's any reason for it to be made going forward. We, as Polska 2050, have also very clearly stated what we think, how we see it, and we had no doubts about it. I spoke with Hennig-Kloska, and Chairman Suchoń spoke with Mr. Tusk; we had many conversations in recent days on this matter. The situation remains unchanged, and if any of our cordial friends from the other side of the political scene have any doubts, I ask them to start sharing them concretely, rather than just on the basis of free associations - stated Szymon Hołownia in the Sejm.

- Of course, we are very pleased with the progressing decrease in inflation. Inflation is falling and is on a path towards our inflation target. You can see on the chart how rapid this decline is, incredibly rapid, but in line with NBP projections - stated Adam Glapiński at a press conference.

- We suspect, we surmise, we hope that in March, when the next inflation report is released, when we present a new projection, all these plans will be known to us, and we will be able to present something more concrete. And in March, the Monetary Policy Council will also intensely consider this; further decisions are possible - stated Adam Glapiński at a press conference.

- All future decisions will depend on incoming data. Even next month's - he continued.

- One of the fundamental strengths of our state is the acceptance of pluralism and cooperation within pluralism. Good, solidary cooperation. We can have different opinions on various topics; therein lies our strength, that is what democracy is about. About exchanging opinions and achieving goals. For my part, I declare full cooperation with a new finance minister, if there is one, and a new government, no worse and no better than with the previous government. Exactly the same, because please remember that the NBP is independent - stated Adam Glapiński at a press conference.

- The National Bank of Poland was always apolitical, even though its leadership included prime ministers, party leaders, transitioning almost directly from one function to another. It was apolitical, it is apolitical, and it will always be apolitical, and that is why it commands respect and recognition on the international stage - stated Adam Glapiński at a press conference.

- The National Bank of Poland (NBP) is an independent institution; its independence is enshrined in the constitution, in the law, and in European treaty regulations. The President of the NBP also serves as governor in the General Council of the European Central Bank and within the European system of central banks. All these banks are primarily independent of governments, but not only that, they are independent of the parliaments of the countries in which they operate. If this were not the case, any parliamentary majority that formed could, at any moment, replace the President of the NBP on a whim. What kind of country would we be living in then? It wouldn't be Western civilization, nor a Western financial system – stated Adam Glapiński at a press conference.

- Dear compatriots, let's demand an energy shield, a heating shield for the entirety of 2024 - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in the Sejm.

- I have decided that indeed tomorrow or the day after, we will work until the very end and sign a decree on zero VAT on food. Just in case you happen to want to back out of this - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in the Sejm.

- About three weeks ago, we submitted three very important projects to the high chamber, projects that Poles are certainly discussing and deeply concerned about. I believe it's important for Poles to know what is happening with these three projects at this stage. The first is loan holidays, the second is the energy shield, and the third is zero VAT on food - stated Mateusz Morawiecki in the Sejm.


- Over a million Polish families are worried about inflation, worried about high loan installments. Meanwhile, the Marshal and today's opposition, which perhaps has a majority in this chamber, are blocking this project. They are blocking this project, and because one issue has become prominent, they have proposed their own project. This so-called 'poverty project' for loan holidays, proposed by Civic Platform, covers 50-60 thousand Polish families - he added.

- I wanted to inform the esteemed chamber that MP Buda received a notice today to cease and desist from violating my personal rights. He has a few days to apologize, or we will resolve the issue of him calling me a "Rywin in a skirt" in court. I will pursue my rights, as I am entitled to do - stated Paulina Hennig-Kloska in the Sejm.

- Mr. Speaker, I must apologize, I see the lady MP is wearing trousers today, so this is Rywin in the trousers of this term. This last week in this parliament will be the story of the biggest legislative swindle you have attempted since the 1990s. Rywin wanted two words in the law, and you want dozens – that's how you indeed differ from Rywin. You wanted to either expropriate or place wind turbines 300 meters from residential buildings. All of Poland was outraged – stated Waldemar Buda in the Sejm.

- Your project does not include a fundamental element; it does not concern entrepreneurs, it does not protect entrepreneurs. Withdraw this project, support the solutions that were in the government's project – he added.

A total of 247 MPs supported the bill. The largest club - Law and Justice (PiS) - abstained from voting, as did almost the entire Confederation club.

- We will vote for the resolution on a parliamentary inquiry committee regarding the May 10, 2020 elections. This is because we want to demonstrate your complete helplessness in a situation where your candidate was plummeting in the polls and you simply wanted to overthrow the state, solely to prevent the elections - stated Przemysław Czarnek in the Sejm.

- This will be a vote in favor, but conditionally. Because today we are adopting the resolution to establish the committee. We don't know what you will conspire to do next week. Article 2 of the Act on Parliamentary Inquiry Committees stipulates that the PiS parliamentary club must have the largest number of committee members. If that is the case, we will participate in it - he continued.

446 deputies voted in favour of establishing an investigative committee to examine the legality, correctness, and expediency of actions taken to prepare and conduct the 2020 Presidential elections of the Republic of Poland through postal voting. No one voted against, and no one abstained. The next step is to appoint the committee's members – possibly next week.
