Polskanatle Data: Poland Behind Portugal but Ahead of Turkey Among Countries with the Highest Investment Growth Rate
According to a study conducted by EY titled "Europe Attractiveness Survey," we are among the top beneficiaries of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI). As the research shows, considering the 23% increase in new investments in Poland, our market can be described as safe and investor-friendly - indicates data from Polskanatle.pl. The overall situation on the market compared to 2021 and 2022 has not fundamentally changed in terms of FDI. In 2022, the number of investments in Europe increased by only 1%. The armed conflict in Ukraine and the energy crisis can be cited as reasons for this. However, there are some exceptions to the described average. The top three countries with the fastest-growing number of foreign direct investments included Portugal, Poland, and Turkey. However, some of Europe's largest economies recorded declines or small increases in the FDI index. For example, in France, the number of investments increased by only 3%, while in Germany and the UK, it decreased by -1% and -6% respectively. It is worth noting the difference between the number of foreign direct investments itself and its growth rate. In 2022, the number of described investments was 237, and it will likely change in the future. Considering our high growth rate, cost-effectiveness of investments, or skilled workforce, the number of investments may quickly approach that of other Western European economies. PARTNER CONTENT
