Czarnek:

Referendum is Crucial for the Future of Poland and Europe

-The referendum is crucial for the future of Poland and the future of Europe. If you see in the last few hours what is happening on the streets of Western Europe. This celebration of a bestial attack on Israel, the trampling of women, desecration, it is unknown whether it is still a living woman or already her body. If you do not see this savagery, those who have "Allahu Akbar" on their lips, today in Israel where tragic things are happening, and you do not see what is happening in Berlin or Belgium, in France or other cities in Western Europe, that is, the celebration of an attack on our civilization, then do not go to the referendum - stated Przemysław Czarnek in the program "Sygnały dnia" PR1.

- I think all Poles realize, as never before, that it is our vote on October 15th that will determine the future of Europe - he added.

08:02

Czarnek:

Poland Has No Exemption from Mandatory Relocation Due to Accepting Ukrainian Refugees

- There is no such thing as Poland being exempted from mandatory relocation due to accepting Ukrainian refugees, but let's ignore that. Ask these smart alecks, if it's so good, why don't you want to go to the referendum and simply say 'no'? All it takes is to go to the referendum, it will happen anyway. The referendum ballots will be distributed to everyone anyway, including those smart alecks from Civic Platform, PSL, from Hołownia, the Left - stated Przemysław Czarnek in the program "Sygnały dnia" on PR1.

08:06

Kierwiński:

Poles Have Already Welcomed Their Ukrainian Brothers, and Today We Rather Need Financial Support from the EU

- I am rather more concerned about irresponsible Polish rulers who trade Polish visas when it comes to migrants... We are very clear: when it comes to illegal migration, we cannot agree to it. Poland, Poles have proven heroic. We opened our homes, our hearts, to migrants from Ukraine, to refugees from Ukraine. When it comes to any refugee sharing mechanisms, we have already done our part – stated Marcin Kierwiński in "RMF Conversation at 7:00".

- That's what we have a government for – to defend Polish interests. Not to slam doors, stand in a corner and stomp their feet, but to defend Polish interests. Poles have already welcomed their Ukrainian brothers, and today we rather need financial support from the EU, which will compensate Poles for what they have done for Ukraine – he continued.

- The migration issue in Poland is being used for immediate political games – he added.

Kierwiński on the Polish-Belarusian Border Wall: We Protested Against PiS's Thoughtless Policy, Which Wanted to Build Anything on the Border for Short-Term Gains

We protested against such a thoughtless PiS policy, which said, for the purposes of short-term politics, let's build anything. No. Let's build an effective barrier – said Marcin Kierwiński on RMF24.

What kind of government is this, which defends us against refugees, which trades in Polish visas. After all, the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued almost 250,000 visas to people from African and Asian countries, often through corrupt practices. What's the point of having a fence built by PiS, if we lightly open our borders to everyone – he continued.

08:07

Kierwiński on Today's Debate on TVP: Please Remember This is Not an Ordinary Debate, It's Not a Debate on Equal Footing

- Please remember that this is not an ordinary debate, in the sense that it is not a debate on equal footing. This is a debate on public television, where journalists don't work, but rather PiS officials. Where everything is rigged for PiS. But if you ask me whether Prime Minister Donald Tusk is ready. Yes, he is ready, although we know that we can expect the worst on public television – stated Marcin Kierwiński on RMF24.

08:14

Czarnek:

Polish Society Says a Clear 'No' to All Leftists and Liberals Who Want to Open Borders

- Polish society says a clear, unequivocal 'no' to all those leftists or liberals who want to open the border, who want to dismantle the barrier on the border, who say very bad things about our Border Guard officers or soldiers supporting the Border Guard, they spit on the Polish uniform - stated Przemysław Czarnek on the program "Sygnały dnia" (Signals of the Day) on PR1.

Morawiecki in New Video: Only PiS Can Stop the Chaos

- The war in Ukraine, the immigrant invasion at the border with Belarus, the energy crisis, inflation, the global pandemic. Have you wondered how Tusk and his coalition of chaos would react to all these challenges? We already know. When there was a crisis, instead of helping people, he raised the retirement age, raised VAT, raised ZUS contributions. Instead of building their savings, he took resources from the Open Pension Funds (OFE) - says Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in a new video, published on social media.

- Instead of protecting them with a shield, he raised VAT. He did it then, and he will do it again. The coalition of chaos will get stuck in debates and political warfare, and people will not receive help. Efficient action, keeping promises, reacting to challenges and problems - this is the fundamental principle of the PiS team's operation. We have a concrete plan for Poland - seniority pensions, a program for modernizing large housing estates, thousands of investments for a more comfortable life in every municipality in Poland. Reject chaos and choose PiS. Only PiS can stop the chaos - he emphasized.

08:33

Dziemianowicz-Bąk:

I Saw Suggestions Regarding the Debate. I Treat It as a Compliment, But Politics is a Team Sport

- I saw the reactions on Twitter, of course, I saw suggestions that I should go to this debate. I treat it as a compliment, as an acknowledgement of my work, but I also know that politics is a team sport. I know Joanna Scheuring-Wielgus, I know her convictions, views, and capabilities, and I am truly convinced that Lewica, us women, us female MPs of Lewica, will be worthily represented – stated Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bąk in an interview with Marcin Fijołek on Polsat News.

08:34

Dziemianowicz-Bąk:

Morawiecki Can't Access KPO Funds Due to Ziobro's Opposition

- When I hear about the stability of the Law and Justice government, I smile because I remember why we don't have funds from the national recovery plan, for example. Mateusz Morawiecki, as Prime Minister, agreed to the milestones on the European stage, agreed to the conditions for launching the European recovery fund, but he is unable to access these funds because he has Zbigniew Ziobro behind him, who disagrees, who vetoes - stated Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bąk in Polsat News.

- His greed concerning the judiciary is more important. The Law and Justice government has nothing to do with stability, nothing to do with security, nothing to do with predictability, and above all, nothing to do with the well-being and future of Poles - she continued.

08:35

Dziemianowicz-Bąk:

The Fact That President Duda is President is a Problem

- Well, of course, the fact that President Andrzej Duda is president is a problem in the sense that he is a man from the ranks of Law and Justice and has clearly shown during his term that he is implementing their program - stated Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bąk on Polsat News.

08:46

Gawkowski:

War could make people look more favorably on the rulers
- People don't like wars, they are afraid of wars. When people's sense of security decreases, so does the sense of destabilization. This can cause them to look more favorably upon those in power, because war always decides that way - said Krzysztof Gawkowski in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on the "Gość Radia ZET" program. - I don't know if [PiS] can gain, because I looked at what happened after Ukraine and the start of Russia's attack. At that time, only Konfederacja was losing, everyone else was stabilizing, but it was also in Poland's national interest to say that we are supporting Ukraine, and opposition parties, apart from Konfederacja, said so, which is why there was stabilization. Today, more or less everyone is saying the same thing, i.e., support for Israel, but not closing our eyes to what happened earlier in Palestine. So, will someone lose or not? There are 4 days until the election, I don't know if it will have a decisive impact, but it might have some - he continued.

08:50

Gawkowski:

He Will Enter the Debate of Five Kings, and One Queen Will Emerge
- He will enter the debate of five kings, and one queen will emerge. That is my assessment of what will happen. [...] I am convinced that a woman will win there [Joanna Scheuring-Wielgus], not because she is a woman, but because she will showcase the programmatic identity of the Left, what we think about rental housing, about social policy, about a secure state, about how to manage a family - said Krzysztof Gawkowski on Radio ZET.

08:55

Gawkowski:

Kaczyński Uses Strong Language Because He Fears Defeat
- Jarosław Kaczyński also has his problem. He's starting to fear he might lose. When I look at Kaczyński from 2019, from that campaign when he wanted to regain power, he was calmer, he joked, he presented himself as a man of the people. But today, Kaczyński is nervous, he's enraged, he's fearful, and that's why I have the impression that he uses strong language because he fears he will lose – Krzysztof Gawkowski said on Radio ZET.

09:01

Gawkowski:

I Can Imagine a Minority Government, Not Snap Elections
- A minority government, yes [I can imagine it], snap elections, no, because I look at how many seats are needed in parliament to make a decision on the dissolution of the Sejm: 307 people must vote. 307 people who have just worked for two months on a campaign, spent money for three months, thought for four months about what would happen to them, have one or two months to raise their hand for dissolution. [...] I say this from my own experience: it is the leaders who can raise their hand for the dissolution of the Sejm, and it will be easiest for them. I would raise it, but I doubt that MPs who, for example, get elected for the first time will raise it - said Krzysztof Gawkowski on Radio ZET.

09:07

Gawkowski:

If PO Puts Forward Tusk as Prime Minister, I See No Reason to Say 'No'
- On the left, we are convinced that the candidate for prime minister should be a representative of the party that has the most support among the parties that would form the government. If Civic Platform were to put forward Donald Tusk, I see no room to tell Platform, 'we do not agree to this' - Krzysztof Gawkowski said on Radio ZET. - The Left will truly not set a prime ministerial candidate for anyone [...]. I am convinced that the Together party will support a government that is being assembled by the opposition - he continued.

09:13

Kukiz:

Instructions on how to not participate in the referendum are anti-civic and anti-Polish activities

- For me, any instructions on how to not participate in this referendum are anti-civic and anti-Polish activities. This is because truly important questions are being asked, including about the wall, the barrier on the eastern border - stated Paweł Kukiz on TVP1's "Political Quarter Hour".

09:46

Jaki:

We Live in Very Dangerous Times. We Must Rely on a Strong State
- We live in very dangerous times. A war of cultures and a war of civilizations is ongoing, and the only response to this is a strong state, investments in the military, consolidation around the uniform [...]. This is a moment when we must rely on a strong state - said Patryk Jaki in the program "Salon Polityczny Trójki".

09:51

Jaki:

Whether you like Kosiniak or Hołownia, voting for them means voting for Tusk to be Prime Minister. The real choice is between us and Tusk.
- Regardless of who you vote for, because someone might like Kosiniak, Hołownia, etc., by voting for them, you are still voting for Tusk to be Prime Minister. Therefore, the real choice is between us and Tusk. And now: during his rule, he dismantled the army, liquidated military units, police stations, and mocked the territorial defense forces; we rebuilt all of that. [...] In these difficult times, we cannot afford chaos and Tusk - said Patryk Jaki in Trójka.

09:55

Jaki:

We Cannot Allow a Total War Between the President and a Potential Prime Minister Tusk
- In such difficult times, if Donald Tusk were to become Prime Minister and a war were to break out with the President, as well as a war within their own camp, because they have conflicting programs, it would be a catastrophe for Poland – Patryk Jaki said on Trójka. - We are facing an escalation, a total war between the President and a potential Prime Minister Tusk, and we cannot allow this in such unstable times – he continued.

10:50

Sasin:

These Elections Are About What Poland Will Be Like in the Coming Years, Even Decades
These elections are about what Poland will be like in these coming years, but I would even say decades, whose Poland it will be, whether it will be a Poland where we, Poles, will be able to decide our own fate, whether we will avoid all those bad things that can happen to us, such as mass emigration, the influx of emigrants into Poland, or whether we will preserve those great achievements that are our common heritage, of all Poles – stated Jacek Sasin on Radio Białystok.

10:51

Sasin:

Tusk is an untrustworthy person, PO has repeatedly lied to Poles

- Regardless of what the opposition says today, its leader Donald Tusk, we remember that he is an untrustworthy person and that PO is an untrustworthy party. They have repeatedly lied to Poles and today, when he says that they will preserve all these achievements, the 13th and 14th pensions, the 500+ program, which we are changing from January to 800+, and many other achievements, which, one could say, have restored dignity to Polish families, we have very far-reaching concerns that these are just pre-election promises, and real life will look different - stated Jacek Sasin on Radio Białystok.

11:49

Kosiniak-Kamysz Poses Questions to Kaczyński:

On Behalf of Farmers.

- Today, on behalf of the farmers standing with us, we will ask President Kaczyński specific questions from here, because these questions must be asked. These questions must be presented, we must state what the current situation is, what the problems are, and what solutions we propose for Polish farmers and Polish entrepreneurs, because today a farmer is an entrepreneur. A farmer can no longer just think about when to plow, when to milk, when to do chores; they must now manage all the bookkeeping related to running a farm - stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz in Wola Kaszewska.

- I will pose these symbolic 5 questions to Kaczyński. He likes the number five, so we will ask him five questions. Firstly, have you changed your mind about Ukrainian grain? Because when we wanted to introduce a deposit system law, you said that Ukrainian grain does not threaten Polish agriculture. Have you changed your mind that Ukrainian grain does not threaten Polish agriculture, or are you still stuck in this mistake? This is the first question, and it needs to be answered, and this grain scandal, this scandal that has so deeply affected Polish producers and Polish farmers, needs to be thoroughly explained. Who introduced this false concept of technical grain? - he continued.

- The second issue concerns actions related to protecting Polish land. They pride themselves on protecting it, they came to power with such beautiful slogans. A few days ago, I was in Szczecin, where farmers are still protesting, our MP Jarek Rzepa is with them. Farmers are still protesting regarding land sales, but specifically the lack of land for Polish farmers (...). Is President Kaczyński aware that during his government, an ignominious record of 5,120 hectares was sold to foreigners? This is the largest land area sold to foreigners precisely under the current coalition government, under PiS rule. Is he aware of this breached record, this ignominious record? - he continued.

- Another issue concerns the restriction of agricultural production. This is what Commissioner Wojciechowski is promoting, one of the most incompetent commissioners the European Union has likely ever had, certainly the worst commissioner in Poland's history. He did not secure solidarity corridors, he did not secure intervention purchases of grain for North Africa, he did not extend the embargo, he did not expand the embargo, he did not provide the assistance that Polish farmers, entrepreneurs, and Polish consumers expect. And yet, he wants to restrict agricultural production (...). They want to limit our production. From the new year, 4% of arable land in farms where arable land constitutes over 10 hectares, where it is the majority of arable land, 4% is to be left fallow. Is this how we care for agricultural production, by leaving land fallow? - said the leader of PSL.

- Why have you adopted, without adopting many good principles from the European Union, and you do not want to adopt the principle of the rule of law, yet you have adopted percentage restrictions on the use of plant protection products? We are for the cleanest possible agriculture, but we also have our feet firmly on the ground; it's impossible to produce without using any plant protection products. However, the average use of plant protection products in the Netherlands is about 7 kg of active substance. In Poland, it's about 2 kg of active substance, meaning if we reduce it by 50%, which you have agreed to, it will be 3.5 in the Netherlands and 1 kg in Poland. Is this fairness? Is this caring for ecology? Is this caring for a healthy environment? You must explain this. Does the President support Commissioner Wojciechowski's actions that restrict agricultural production, cause land to be left fallow, and discourage young farmers? - he added.

- Are you aware that young farmers do not trust you, that they have protested against you many times, but that they are not submitting applications for support for young farmers? Under our government, there were 22,000-23,000 applications in 2015. (...). Nationwide today, there are not 100 applications submitted, because the criteria are so stringent that they are impossible to meet. Do you uphold this doctrine, does President Kaczyński uphold this doctrine, this disgraceful doctrine, that the farmer is greedy, will be thrown a few pennies before the election, and will vote for us anyway (...). Is this doctrine still current? Will you continue to apply it, is this a sign of your respect for the Polish countryside and Polish farmers? - he emphasized.

12:32

Scheuring-Wielgus:

I haven't been on state television in 7 years; today I'll have 7 minutes to present the Left's vision
- Today on state television [...] a pre-election debate will take place. We are in an election campaign, and state television has an obligation, according to the law, to organize such a debate. But for me, this is a special day because I haven't been on state television for 7 years, and today I will have the opportunity in 7 minutes to present the Left's vision, our idea for Poland – said Joanna Scheuring-Wielgus at a press conference. - We are, of course, keeping our fingers crossed for both Civic Coalition and Third Way. We are convinced that we are getting closer and closer to a victory for the democratic opposition – she continued.

12:33

Czarzasty:

'These Are Not Fair Elections, But We Will Win Anyway'
- These are not fair elections. These are elections where, on one side, the side of PiS, there is the state apparatus, the ministries, the State Treasury companies, everything that truly shouldn't be there. There are people on the boards of State Treasury companies also to pay for the campaigns of those who appointed them, because honestly, no one believes in the fairness of many competitions - Włodzimierz Czarzasty said at a press conference. - There is no equality in this campaign, there is no fairness in this campaign, but I will tell you honestly, regardless of this lack, we will win anyway - he continued.

12:40

Czarzasty:

I'm also keeping my fingers crossed for Hołownia and Tusk; after Sunday, we will take responsibility for the country
- I wish Joanna well [...], I'm also keeping my fingers crossed during this debate for Szymek Hołownia, I'm also keeping my fingers crossed during this debate for Donald Tusk, because remember that we are a group of democratic structures that very soon, after Sunday, will take responsibility for our country - said Włodzimierz Czarzasty at a press conference.

12:44

Grabiec:

Alarming Information Received Regarding Debate Venue

- I cannot overlook an issue that is crucial today, namely the issue of the debate between the leaders of the groupings vying for parliamentary and senatorial seats in these elections on TVP. Well, alarming information has reached us to the effect that TVP intends to break the written agreements regarding the course of the debate. We have information that, firstly, the venue for the debate will not be the studio on Wał Miedzeszyński as agreed, as recorded, where a site visit took place yesterday. But the venue for the debate is to be Woronicza studio S1; a twin studio to the one being prepared on Wał Miedzeszyński is being set up there, and at the last minute, we are to be informed that the debate will indeed take place in a different location. Secondly, we also know that a studio for the audience is being built. We know that PiS voters, PiS sympathizers, and PiS activists from across the country are being gathered and are to arrive in Warsaw by bus – said Jan Grabiec at a press conference.

- Of course, the written agreements concerning the debate state that the participation of an audience is excluded. TVP intends to break these rules. This is, of course, another ploy, another attempt to distort the picture of what is happening in Poland and how this debate will proceed. PiS is so afraid of this debate that, firstly, they withdrew President Kaczyński from it, and secondly, they are trying to completely break the agreements that were made. This is meant to be a lynching of Donald Tusk, not a debate at all; that's the plan they've adopted – he continued.

12:45

Grabiec:

I call on Prime Minister Morawiecki to immediately restore the agreed-upon debate arrangements

I call on Prime Minister Morawiecki to immediately restore the kind of relationship we agreed upon, which is being officially presented by TVP, and to immediately rule out the possibility of this kind of manipulation. We expect the worst to happen in the studio, but this scale of manipulation simply looks like a Putin-esque setup. It has nothing to do with political debate, which is why we expect Prime Minister Morawiecki to immediately clarify this situation and forbid his officials at TVP from making such moves. Because it would be a complete disgrace for this ruling camp, they are so afraid of Donald Tusk that they are breaking all the agreements they made with us just yesterday – stated Jan Grabiec at a press conference.

12:51

Maląg:

Today Poles don't work like they did under Tusk, for PLN 5, or even less, per hour
- Should Poland be strong and, above all, implement solutions like those introduced so far, dignity-enhancing solutions for Poles? PiS is the guarantor of what we have taught during this recent period. We have changed the situation of every Polish woman and every Polish man. Introducing benefits that change the dignity of their situation is a dignity revolution. Such as 500+, soon 800+, Good Start, Family Care Capital, Maluch+ program, these are some of the solutions that have changed the situation of Polish families, but we look primarily in a comprehensive way. We have faced many crises and are still facing them, and Poles have not been left to fend for themselves - stated Marlena Maląg at a PiS press conference. - Today Poles don't work like they did under Donald Tusk, for PLN 5, or even less, per hour. There are decent wages, the current minimum wage is PLN 3600. Next year, in 2024, this wage will be higher because inflation is even higher - she continued. - [Under Donald Tusk there was] gigantic unemployment. There was no concern for how Polish families would live; the invisible hand of the free market was meant to help and resolve everything, [they] didn't know where the low/high price button was, or how to help Poles in any way - emphasized the Minister of Family.

12:55

Kierwiński:

Morawiecki Fears Losing the Debate

- Spending public money to make it easier for Mr. Morawiecki in the debate is simply a huge scandal, a huge violation of Polish democracy. A debate whose terms were set last week, which all committees signed, and yet we know it won't be equal – stated Marcin Kierwiński at a press conference.

- Morawiecki is afraid, he's afraid he'll lose the debate, PiS officials are afraid. But we really cannot allow these elementary, elementary remnants of democracy to be trampled in this way – he added.

12:55

Tomczyk:

Poland's Fate Hangs in the Balance During Today's Debate and in the Coming Days

- Ladies and gentlemen, these 3 billion zlotys, which are spent on TVP year after year, will today be concentrated solely to launch a grand machine of slander against Donald Tusk. Against all opposition parties. But I would also like to tell you, on our behalf, and I believe on behalf of many of our listeners and viewers, that Donald Tusk will speak on our behalf during this debate. He will be able to speak in the name of a free Poland on this government cable channel, from which we have only heard lies until now – said Cezary Tomczyk at a press conference.

- This is truly a very important day, and we ask for your immense support, also immense support online, immense support on social media, and of course, immense support here on the ground in Warsaw. If the debate takes place at the previously planned location, on Wał Miedzeszyński, let us be there together with Donald Tusk. If they wish to move this debate to Woronicza, he will be there with Donald Tusk. Here, during this debate, and in the coming days, Poland's fate is being decided. These are strong words, but they are 100% justified – he continued.

13:00

Buda:

New Support Packages and Opportunities Will Be Introduced if Needed

Economic crises are emerging globally, often entirely independent of Poland, its citizens, or its authorities. This was the case with the pandemic and the war in Ukraine. We had to face it. But crises and difficult situations have appeared before; in 2008, we had a global crisis that partially affected only Poland. We can compare these examples to see how the state behaved then and whether society, citizens, employers, and employees could count on support during those difficult moments. I will recall the years 2020-2021, when the pandemic led to a situation where we either could or could not perform work, or where there were no orders for entrepreneurs. All of this caused a dramatic situation for many sectors of the economy. We met those expectations. The anti-crisis shield amounted to PLN 70 billion, and including the activities of BGK, ZUS, and the Ministry of Development and Technology, it exceeded PLN 200 billion – stated Waldemar Buda at a press conference.

We are in difficult times; the geopolitical environment is changing very dynamically. We have had one, a second, a third crisis; perhaps another one will appear; we have no control over it. You can be convinced and assured that if a situation arises where citizens need help, we are ready to help them. New support packages and new opportunities will be introduced if there is such a need – he added.

14:56

Telus Announces Further Turnout Incentive Programs
- Elections are a celebration of democracy, a celebration important for all of us, for Poles, and we want this celebration to be even more significant for every citizen, so that every citizen can participate in the elections. We want to encourage participation in this celebration of democracy. We want to encourage Poles to take part in these elections, which is why, with my colleagues, I am announcing another turnout program. A program that will encourage Poles to participate in the elections in greater numbers. As I said, this is a celebration for all of us, a celebration of democracy, which is why, as you already know, there is a program announced earlier, "Remiza" [Fire Station]. A program for each rural municipality in a district, for the municipality that had the best turnout, one million zlotys for the renovation or construction of a fire station. This is already a program in effect, and today there are three more proposals - stated Robert Telus during a press conference. - From my agricultural sector, for every municipality that exceeds 60% turnout and has up to 20,000 residents, 250,000 zlotys for rural women's circles, folk ensembles, and brass bands. 250,000 zlotys for each municipality that exceeds 60% and has up to 20,000 residents - he added.

14:59

Bortniczuk:

Additional 250,000 PLN to Fund Sports Clubs
- As you know, one of the priorities of our government for a long time has been sport, supporting Polish sport in all possible aspects, including infrastructure. I would like to remind you here that this year we will announce subsidy programs that will provide support to Polish local governments in building sports facilities, more than our predecessors from the PO-PSL coalition provided throughout their entire term. This year, we will allocate more to sports infrastructure than our predecessors did during the entire 2007-2015 term. We are also supporting popularizing sport programs with a record amount of over half a billion PLN this year, and for the first time in history, we are systemically supporting sports clubs operating throughout Poland, for example, within the framework of the 'Klub' program. Our next proposal, related to voter turnout, concerns exactly this support for sports clubs - stated Kamil Bortniczuk during a press conference. - In every municipality where the turnout exceeds 60%, an additional 250,000 PLN will be allocated for the functioning of a sports club or sports clubs, if there are more than one in such a municipality. I think this is a concrete proposal, a great motivation for sports communities to strive to ensure that this celebration of democracy, which are elections, is as complete as possible, and democracy is more complete the fuller the participation of citizens in the electoral process - he added.

15:03

Bocheński:

Municipality with the Highest Voter Turnout to Receive One Million Zlotys in Funding
- On Sunday, we will witness a celebration of democracy. The higher the turnout, the larger the crowds at polling stations, the better, the stronger the mandate for the new authorities, the proof that the nation will decide Poland's future on Sunday. In order to fill the polling stations, we are proposing a turnout-boosting campaign, including an additional investment initiative. This means that within a poviat (county), a municipality with up to 20,000 inhabitants that achieves the highest turnout in that poviat will receive one million zlotys in funding for projects chosen by the residents. Thus, these will be funds that will go into the citizens' budget. This is very important for us because it motivates residents of a specific municipality to compete with residents of neighboring municipalities within the same poviat, making it possible for the turnout to be truly high - stated Tobiasz Bocheński during a press conference. - To summarize all four programs, which various government representatives have spoken about so far, one municipality can receive up to 2.5 million zlotys, because if the turnout in a specific municipality is the highest in the poviat, that's one million zlotys for investments. If this turnout exceeds 60%, then there are 250,000 zlotys for rural women's circles and orchestras, and funding for sports clubs in the amount of 250,000 zlotys, as well as one million zlotys under the fire station program, which Minister Moskwa spoke about earlier. Therefore, these are tools that are intended to increase voter turnout on Sunday, to which we sincerely invite all Poles - he added.

Szydło:

There are politicians in Poland who say the referendum is invalid. A referendum is your right, don't let them take it away
Unfortunately, there are politicians who say that the referendum is invalid. I say this with regret, but there are politicians in Poland who say that the referendum is invalid. There is no need to go to this referendum, there is no need to express your opinion on matters fundamental to our future and our security. Ladies and gentlemen, a referendum is your right, stemming from the Polish constitution. Do not let this right be taken away from you. You have the right to express your opinion on matters that are crucial. And in recent weeks, the idea of a referendum and the questions posed in it have gained even more weight. In connection with the decisions being made by the EU concerning, for example, the relocation of illegal migrants to member states – said Beata Szydło in Skarżysko-Kamienna.

17:46

Kaczyński:

Our idea is to fully equalize opportunities and living standards between Polish cities, the big, wealthiest ones, and Polish villages

- Our idea is to fully equalize opportunities and fully equalize living standards between Polish cities, the big, wealthiest ones, and Polish villages. This is what we want, and I can say with immense pride that over these 8 years, we have moved closer to this goal. These scissors are not widening; this difference is becoming smaller - stated Jarosław Kaczyński in Przysucha.

17:55

Kaczyński:

We Must Win the Upcoming Election, But Also Win in the Long Run, in Social Consciousness
- We are proud that we represent the Polish countryside and we want it to stay that way. We want this to translate into facts, both those that have already happened and those that will happen, if our option, the option of Poland's development, but development for everyone, development towards full equality, is realized. It is being realized, but we still have a lot to do to bring it to full fruition - stated Jarosław Kaczyński in Przysucha. - We have taken many steps forward, but this is an uphill path, not an easy one. But we will traverse it, we just need to win. We must win now, in the upcoming […] elections, but we must also win in the long run. We must win in social consciousness, we must tell Poles that they are a nation of equal people, who not only have the right, but one could say the duty, to be proud of our past and present - he continued.

17:58

Kaczyński:

Tusk was pro-German, pro-German, and once again pro-German

- He certainly wouldn't have stopped the war. He was pro-German, pro-German, and once again pro-German. Fur Deutschland, meaning for Germany - he repeated these words very often. He certainly wouldn't have defended us against the flood of Ukrainian grain, because that required courage to stand up to Germany, to stand up to the EU. Sometimes you have to - stated Jarosław Kaczyński in Przysucha.

18:06

Kaczyński:

If Someone with 11 Parties in Government Comes to Power and Wants to Wage War on the President, NBP, and Constitutional Tribunal, It Leads to Anarchy, Even War
- We are threatened by rule of great chaos. The President, speaking recently, even talked about war. Yes, if someone comes to power with 11 parties in their government, it is truly very difficult to coordinate it, to make it function. But if this someone also wants to wage war on the president, on the National Bank, on the Constitutional Tribunal, then that is a path to anarchy – I repeat, I agree with the President here – even war. Remember this. This must not be allowed to happen - stated Jarosław Kaczyński in Przysucha.

18:39

Tusk:

I wanted to face Kaczyński in a debate. Unfortunately, he chickened out
- I am here today for you, especially for those watching the debate and for whom TVP is the only source of information. I am glad you can see that I am like you. I know you were perhaps waiting for a different debate, with President Kaczyński; I wanted to stand face to face with him, he could look truth in the eye. Unfortunately, he chickened out - said Donald Tusk during the TVP debate.

18:42

Hołownia:

Kaczyński Should Answer Not Only What to Do to Have Fewer Syrians in Poland, but What to Do to Finally Have More Poles
- Regarding migration, Poland has already accepted over a million refugees from Ukraine. No one will force us to accept refugees or migrants against our will; the problem is that we are accepting them. And it's not Brussels sending them to us, but Nowogrodzka [referring to the Law and Justice party headquarters]. Because it is precisely under the rule of this team, through the border wall, thesensibility of which no one questions, that 20,000 illegal migrants have managed to cross this year alone. We still don't know how many people were sold visas. The Polish border is meant to be inviolable and sacred. Today, borders are protected not only by brick but also by electronics, and Mr. Kaczyński should answer us not only on what to do to have fewer Syrians in Poland, but what to do to finally have more Poles here - said Szymon Hołownia during a debate.

18:43

Tusk:

7 Minutes – That's What I Got From TVP After 8 Years of Lies About Me. I Want to Use Them So We Can Hear a Few Words of Truth
- I want to use these 7 minutes, because that's how much time TVP, after 8 years of lies about me, has given me to share my arguments and so we can hear a few words of truth. Then it will be our jointly won debate – Donald Tusk said in the TVP debate.

18:44

Morawiecki:

You Saw It Yourselves – All Against One, Rudy's Gang. Tusk Promised a Position for the Migration Pact
You saw it yourselves – all against one, Rudy's gang, as they say. It started with criticism, which is actually a fabricated scandal. The facts are that it was I who, at the European Council, cast a firm veto against illegal immigration. And there, I also learned that Donald Tusk has been promised a position. For what? For agreeing that if he comes to power, he will accept illegal immigrants. Tusk's party in the EU is already adopting the migration pact, pushing forward with this pact. Unfortunately, this is very dangerous, which is why we proposed a referendum, and Tusk threatened Poland with penalties in 2017. That's why I want to say that we will defend Poles from rapes, from cars set on fire, as in Paris and Stockholm. PiS is the guarantee of security – stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki during a debate.

18:46

Scheuring-Wielgus:

The Left Has a Clear Idea, Modeled on the Canadian System, Where Canada Sets Annual Entry Limits
I am pleased to be able to host you in your homes today. Poland truly needs a smart migration policy, one that provides us with security here and now, but also one that prevents children from dying in the forests. As is happening now on the Polish-Belarusian border. We on the Left have a clear idea, it is modeled on the Canadian idea; Canada sets a limit each year on the number of people who can enter the country. These individuals are checked in various respects, including criminal records, and photos and fingerprints are taken, and this is a very good model because in migration policy, one must always prioritize the fact that a human being always remains a human being. After all, each of us has at some point wanted to leave for another country for a better life. I myself went to London as a student and worked as a dishwasher, and people come to us for bread and for better work in the same way – stated Izabela Scheuring-Wielgus in a TVP debate.

18:50

Bosak:

EU Package Forcing Poland to Relocate and Accept Illegal Immigrants Posed as Refugees Should Be Rejected

- The EU package forcing Poland to relocate and accept illegal immigrants presented as refugees should be rejected. This is not a solution that serves border defense; this solution aims to institutionalize a huge stream of millions of people from Asia and Africa who would like to reach the preserve of wealth that is the European Union. There is no basis to consider what the German government is financing, i.e., ships carrying people from the coast of Africa to the northern Mediterranean Sea, as a crisis. This is not a crisis; it is a result of the actions of European states, and it must be stopped, using force, as Australia does. Australia's coast guard has the right to use force to turn back boats; such a strategy works. At the same time, Morawiecki's strategy of open borders must be rejected, where we are record-holders in the European Union regarding the acceptance of legal, mass, uncontrolled labor migration. Konfederacja proposes a package of responsible migration policy. Let us be wise before harm comes; let us not repeat the mistakes of the West – said Krzysztof Bosak in the debate.

18:50

May:

The Security of Poles is Paramount; This is What We Should Discuss, Not Argue About Who is For or Against

- Ladies and gentlemen, first and foremost, the security of Polish women and men is the most important thing, and this is what we should be discussing. We are seeing yet another dispute here about whether migrants should enter or not. I recall the antics of one of the Civic Platform MPs who protested against the construction of a barrier on the border. Today, there is full agreement that this wall should be there, but I have seen attacks claiming the wall is leaky, and Mr. Szymon also talks about this – said Krzysztof Maj during the debate.

- In Poland, we should really sit down and discuss our migration policy together, above divisions, and decide what it should look like. We should also start a dialogue with Brussels. However, a dialogue, not accepting orders, but also not saying no, refusing to say no, just because we won't accept migrants. We are truly capable of preparing migration models, for example, on the Australian model. Poland is a hospitable, large country and there is room here for those who want to work, not come for social benefits. But to support the Polish economy, to support Polish entrepreneurs. This is what we should discuss together, not throw arguments around, some for, others against – he added.

18:52

Morawiecki:

Mrs. Danuta approached me in Kraśnik and said she received a 2 zł pension increase years ago. She asked me to give it back to Tusk because she doesn't need it anymore.

- The facts are that Donald Tusk's government raised the retirement age, and our government lowered the retirement age. And it's also worth emphasizing that Mr. Tusk retired early and today receives a gigantic European pension. So he knew how to best take care of his own pension. I travel around Poland very often and meet with seniors. Recently, Mrs. Danuta approached me in Kraśnik and told me that she received a pension increase a few years ago for 2 zł. And she asked me to give those 2 zł back to Donald Tusk, which I will do after this program. She said she doesn't need it anymore because today she has the 13th and 14th pensions, a dignified pension, but it's worth remembering this, dear seniors, because it depends on whether your autumn of life will truly be dignified – stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki during a debate.

18:52

Hołownia:

Pension age will remain the same, and we will enable those who want to work longer to do so
- The retirement age will remain at the same level, and we will ensure that those who want to work longer can do so. There will be a whole system of incentives specifically created for them, for example, disability contributions will be counted as pension contributions, which will result in a higher benefit. Often in this context, the question arises whether Poles will have to work until they die, but why does no one ask, or asks too rarely, why today they sometimes have to stand in queues for doctors until they die. The average waiting time for a doctor's appointment, not just for seniors, is half a year. In Katowice, from where the Prime Minister is running, waiting for a pediatric neurologist involves waiting until Christmas Eve, but of next year. Trzecia Droga (The Third Way) offers two simple guarantees in this regard. Firstly, if you cannot get an appointment with a doctor under the National Health Fund (NFZ) within 60 days, the state will reimburse you for a private visit. Secondly, we will allocate 7% to healthcare, in order to relieve hospitals of debt, give nurses pay raises, and ensure full security for all of us, including seniors - said Szymon Hołownia during the debate.

18:53

Scheuring-Wielgus:

The autumn of life should be like a warm September, not the gloomy November that is rapidly approaching. Widow's pension, remember.

- The Left voted against raising the retirement age. We have a clean slate here, but pensioners currently face a different problem: it's difficult for them to make ends meet. That is why, as the Left, we guarantee that pensions and retirement benefits will be indexed twice a year. But there is another situation: it happens that one of the spouses dies, and then the living costs for the one left in the world unfortunately do not decrease. Therefore, as the Left, we propose a widow's pension, which is half of the deceased spouse's retirement benefit, because they worked honestly for that pension. Furthermore, we want seniors to simply feel happy in retirement. That is why we guarantee they will have access to culture. We believe that the autumn of life should be like the warm September we recently had, not the gloomy November that is rapidly approaching. Widow's pension, remember - stated Izabela Scheuring-Wielgus in a TVP debate.

18:54

May:

Esteemed Colleagues Witnessed a Blow-by-Blow Between Two Prime Ministers, Former and Current, While Young People Worry About Their Pensions

- I would prefer the autumn of life to look like a beautiful spring May rather than September, but we are in favor of maintaining the retirement age today. To give everyone a choice, perhaps the choice of longer work. Meanwhile, esteemed colleagues, you have just witnessed a blow-by-blow exchange between two prime ministers, the former and the current. Young people are concerned about their pensions. They genuinely don't know what to expect. They hear legends about changes, about raising the retirement age in the past, about some disappearing billions from the Open Pension Funds, and today they have fears that these 13th and 14th pensions are a way of buying voters' votes. Young entrepreneurs also want to have a choice; they talk about wanting voluntary contributions to ZUS. They say they prefer to take care of themselves today. They are resourceful, and high contributions at the beginning of running a business would make it much easier for them to operate their company, and they say they can manage for the future. Therefore, the Non-Partisans do not want to raise the retirement age, but they want guarantees and stability in this law for everyone, so that we know what pension we can count on in old age – stated Krzysztof Maj during the debate.

18:54

Tusk:

After Election Victory, I Will Personally Ensure No One Dares to Raise Retirement Age. I Won't Have Advisors Like Morawiecki, Who Urged Me to Do So.
- This is something you haven't seen on TVP, and Prime Minister Morawiecki, who as you can see has very deservedly earned his well-known "Pinocchio" nickname, won't tell you. January 30, 2010, Morawiecki for "Rzeczpospolita," and this was when he was becoming my advisor: "I hope the government will act with determination to raise the retirement age, introduce an income criterion for KRUS, and abolish privileges for uniformed services." - Donald Tusk said during a TVP debate. - I want to state here, because public television also hasn't shown this, and I've done it many times - after winning the elections, I will personally ensure that no one dares to even think about raising the retirement age. And you know, I won't have advisors like this one [pointing at Morawiecki - ed.], who urged me to do so - he stressed.

18:55

Bosak:

Konfederacja Not in Favor of Raising Retirement Age

- Poland needs an honest debate about where the money to fund our pensions will come from. We have one of the lowest retirement ages in Europe and a demographic crisis. Stemming labor shortages through mass immigration will create problems for us. Everyone realizes this, yet no one has the courage to issue a regulation limiting the influx of foreigners into Poland. Regarding retirement age, I want to allay fears being spread by the media: Konfederacja is not in favor of raising the retirement age. If Poles ever wish to, they can voluntarily remain in the labor market, and incentives to do so should be introduced. The real problem is that we Poles are currently financing pensions for another nation, the Ukrainian nation, based on an agreement made by Donald Tusk's government and not terminated by the Law and Justice (PiS) government. This is a real scandal because it's enough to work for one day in Poland, reach retirement age, declare that you live here, and the Polish taxpayer has to pay a pension several times higher. This should be terminated immediately - said Krzysztof Bosak during the debate.

18:59

Morawiecki:

When Tusk Ruled, He Had a Heart of Stone. VAT Mafias Raked It In, and They Said: There's No Money

- When Tusk ruled, he had a heart of stone. Back then, VAT mafias were churning the profits as much as they could, and they said: there's no money and there won't be, you bunglers. We've secured these 260 billion and given them back to Polish children, and we all know our social policy is very extensive, it's 500+, soon 800+. Under PO, it was a deficit, you could count on a deficit because it was hard to make ends meet. And truly, their social policy was less than zero, but most importantly, if God forbid they return to power, the same scenario threatens again. They will open the door to VAT mafias, and there will be no money for the 13th and 14th [payments], and social benefits will also have to be allocated to illegal immigrants, whom they want to bring to Poland. Only PiS guarantees a dignified life for Poles – stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki during the debate.

18:59

Hołownia:

We Say a Very Clear "No" to Handouts
- We greatly respect your money, because we know the effort you put into earning it. And it's not confetti for any government to be throwing it from a helicopter. That's why we say a very clear "no" to handouts. No one will eliminate the 500+ program. No one will eliminate the 13th pension, rest assured. But when we talk about further increases, about another 300 PLN, allow us to first check if they aren't trying to give you your own money back, or money from loans they'll take out on your children. Instead of blindly giving, including to those who like to ride for free, we prefer to invest. Therefore, we will immediately spend 3 billion PLN on 100,000 places in Polish nurseries. This is 1/3 of what the current government spends on keeping fat PiS cats guarding meadows for the airport in Baranów. And the second thing, we will invest 6% of GDP in schools with warm meals, psychologists, no homework, and a streamlined curriculum - said Szymon Hołownia during the debate.

19:02

Tusk:

People could have had 800+ since June. PiS blocked it
- I don't know if they poured something into the Prime Minister's glass, some agitated, aggressive person. It doesn't suit you, Mr. Prime Minister. 800+ could have been disbursed already in June. We proposed this when Jarosław Kaczyński said: we will give 800+ in the future, starting from January. I said: I'm calling your bluff, if this is truly not just an election ploy, let's do it together from June. People could have had 800+ since June. They blocked it - Donald Tusk stated during a debate on TVP. - When it comes to retirement benefits. For us, it is very important that pensions truly mean something. After the decision on the health contribution, which cannot be deducted from taxes, Polish pensioners have actually lost a lot. We propose abolishing the taxation of pensions, and this will be truly very solid support. We are also thinking about entrepreneurs; a whole package is needed here. These decisions are in the 100 specific points. I invite you to the website, you will see truly very serious decisions there - he continued.

19:02

Scheuring-Wielgus:

Affordable Housing for Affordable Rent. We Want to Build 300 Such Apartments Because We Know That 3/4 of Polish Families Lack Creditworthiness
It's obvious that The Left won't take anything away. What has been given will not be taken back, but will be indexed annually. Social policy must be systemic; it's not enough to give 500 or 800 zlotys, because there will always be a shortfall, whether for nursery, kindergarten, or tutoring for the child. As a mother of three children, I wonder where my sons will live, and we as The Left have a great idea for that. Affordable housing for affordable rent. We want to build 300 such apartments because we know that 3/4 of Polish families lack creditworthiness, but we also believe that public transport should be accessible to everyone. That's why we guarantee that a train will reach every county, and a bus will reach every municipality. Public transport for our children will simply be free. This is what we want because the state should care for its citizens - stated Izabela Scheuring-Wielgus in a TVP debate.

19:07

Bosak:

Regarding benefits for Poles – if there's money, they should be maintained
The current level of highly developed social benefits, which all other parties here have voted for together, is financed by debt. The Polish state does not have this money. Next year, the Polish state will have to borrow 420 billion PLN on international markets, incurring debt, just to service the debt and finance all of this. We propose savings first and foremost: zero social benefits for Ukrainians. It cannot be the case that the Polish taxpayer finances 500+, 800+, Family Care Capital, 300+, 2% loans so that Ukrainians can buy property here. That's too much, we cannot afford it. This needs to be cut, and this is a proposal for savings. Regarding benefits for Poles, if there is money, they should be maintained, but above all, taxation should be lowered. Poverty stems from inflation and new costs, including Prime Minister Morawiecki, with the support of the Left and Civic Platform, took on Poland the "Fit for 55" package, various types of commitments within the KPO (National Reconstruction Plan), which they do not honestly inform the public about and which have only caused a 60% increase in electricity prices during the last PiS government term – said Krzysztof Bosak during the debate.

19:10

Scheuring-Wielgus:

The Left is Against the Sell-off of Polish Assets

- I know what it's like to be among so many men, I have four of them at home: a husband and three sons. To be honest, I look with some embarrassment at how Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki is behaving today, because he is behaving like a two-year-old son in a sandbox when someone tries to snatch his spade. Mr. Prime Minister, please, truly come to terms with this. When it comes to privatization, of course, the Left is against the sell-off of Polish assets. Because if we talk about a sell-off, it was Obajtek who gave half of the Gdańsk refinery to a company from Saudi Arabia. And what do we have now, what is the effect of this? That we have to refuel our cars from one breakdown to another. What's more, President Obajtek bought all regional newspapers in Poland, for what purpose? To promote PiS and censor the opposition, as he recently did by not allowing us, the Left, to place our election advertisements - stated Izabela Scheuring-Wielgus in a TVP debate.

19:11

Hołownia to Party Elites: Pack Up Your Litter Boxes
- I wonder what kind of vase the Polish government received for selling our crown jewel, I'm talking about Lotos, to the Arabs and Hungarians. We must not privatize strategic companies, and that's exactly what they did. But privatization isn't just about these kinds of actions. It also involves, for example, the acquisition, essentially for ownership, by a political party, of companies like Orlen, Tauron, Enea, and others. To all these party fat cats sitting there today, sponsoring PiS's election campaign, I have one message: pack up your litter boxes. Pack up your litter boxes, because under the next democratic government, neither in Orlen nor in other companies will there be Tusk's people, Kaczyński's people, or Hołownia's people, only professionals who know what to do to keep the pumps from breaking down. And the privatization of forests? They've already been privatized by Mr. Ziobro's party, which is siphoning money from them for various political stunts. Forests must be protected; 20% of the most valuable forest stands should be excluded from logging – said Szymon Hołownia during the debate.

19:11

Morawiecki to Tusk: I Know You Received a Gold and Silver Vase from Putin in 2010. What Was it For and What is it Worth?

I will start with a question for Donald Tusk. I know you received a gold and silver vase from Putin in 2010. What did you receive this vase for and how much is it worth? The Civic Platform government sold off national assets for PLN 58 billion. They even sold the cable car to Kasprowy Wierch, Krzysztof Krawczyk's recordings, and Czerwone Gitary. Where is that money, what was it spent on, where did it go? If Civic Platform came to power, it would be like in Lidl, a German week and airlines to Germany, a French week and energy companies to France. You can't deny your genes; they would sell the forests, the Baltic Sea, and the Tatras. We have regained many companies for Poland. We have energy independence from Russia, the Baltic Pipe. We will not allow Mr. Tusk to hang a "for sale" sign on Poland,” stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki during the debate.

19:12

Maj:

We have an idea to abolish PIT to 0%, as a raise for all honest workers, and we propose free regional and urban public transport for everyone

- The 500+ program has been adopted, and this revalorization to 800+ is actually an attempt to catch up with inflation. We have a different idea: to abolish PIT to 0%, which is an automatic raise for all honest workers. And it's not that there aren't groups today who don't pay this tax. Youth up to 26 years old receive a salary reduction as a birthday gift on their 26th birthday. And we are saying that the Polish state can afford to reward honest workers, and they will know better how to use this money. So, we don't want to create new handouts for someone, but we propose, for example, free regional and urban public transport, which will help us fight smog, traffic jams, and also help Polish families. The question for us is where to get the money, and we've checked: all tickets on regional railways across the country cost 2 billion 100 million zlotys, and almost 3 billion goes to public television. It's a very simple calculation: instead of public television and its propaganda, free public transport for everyone and PIT 0 as an automatic raise for honest workers – said Krzysztof Maj during the debate.

19:14

Tusk:

Morawiecki and Obajtek Sold the Gdańsk Refinery to Saudi Arabia, Who Paid Half the Price They Paid for Ronaldo
- Ladies and gentlemen, do you know that Mateusz Morawiecki and Mr. Obajtek sold the Gdańsk refinery to Saudi Arabia, and Saudi Arabia paid half the money they paid for the footballer Ronaldo for it? The most modern refinery in the region, we invested hundreds of millions, even billions of zlotys in this refinery. It was truly a pearl in the crown. Within a few months, the profits generated by this refinery have essentially covered what the Arabs paid for it. State Forests? 100% politicized. The most expensive timber, unavailable timber, Polish furniture companies are collapsing, Polish forests are going to China. They are cutting down the most trees in history, and timber is the least available in history. You will be held accountable for this, because whoever raises a hand against Polish forests, raises a hand against the homeland - said Donald Tusk during a TVP debate.

19:17

Bosak:

Forests are strategic assets for the entire economy; they should not be sold or privatized
Forests are strategic assets for the entire economy; they should not be sold or privatized. We must also ensure that unprocessed timber does not leave Poland, as this harms the Polish timber industry and the Polish furniture business, an important export sector. Currently, unfortunately, there is a shortage of this wood. We should also pay attention to strategically important companies. PiS has built a real behemoth around Orlen; integrating so many companies under one hand is not safe. Furthermore, they sold significant parts of Lotos to foreign capital, and the most important things are the investments that are yet to come: the Central Communication Port, the nuclear power plant; we still do not have a defined ownership structure. After 8 years in power, PiS has been unable to decide whether this should be the property of the Polish state or international capital. Clear decisions and state control are needed here, and above all, we must know at what price electricity will be sold to Poles, because PiS is engaging in propaganda of success, but has not established such basic facts as who will pay and how much - said Krzysztof Bosak during the debate.

19:19

Scheuring-Wielgus:

A Secure Poland is a State Where the Police Always Stand with Citizens, Not with One Party, Mr. Morawiecki
For Lewica, a secure Poland is a Poland where each of us knows where the nearest shelter is and what to do in case of danger. A secure Poland is a state where the police always stand with citizens, not with one party, Mr. Morawiecki. For Lewica, a secure Poland is a Poland where the government knows the enemy is in the East, not in the West. For Lewica, a secure Poland is also a Poland where if you want to undergo military training, you do, but no one is forced into uniform. Secure Poland also means road safety. I know what I'm talking about, I myself lost my husband in a road accident, I became a widow with a child, just like 2,000 people last year, 2,000 too many people – stated Izabela Scheuring-Wielgus in a TVP debate.

19:22

Tusk:

A Secure Nation Needs Brave and Responsible Leaders. We Have Kaczyński, Who Fled the Government Immediately After the Outbreak of War in Ukraine, Just as He Fled Today's Debate.
- A secure nation requires brave and experienced leaders. And responsible leaders. Today, we have the leader of this ruling camp, Kaczyński, who is evading the premiership, hiding behind Mateusz Morawiecki. He fled the government immediately after the outbreak of war in Ukraine, just as he fled today's debate. We have a Minister of National Defence who spent months searching, or rather pretending to search, for the Russian missile that fell on Poland, and then cowardly blamed generals. We have a Police Commander who fired his own station with a grenade launcher. We have PiS picnics where helicopters hit high-voltage wires, and tanks ram fire trucks. A secure Poland means that cowards and oddballs cannot govern the homeland – Donald Tusk said during a TVP debate.

19:22

Hołownia:

50% of Defense Spending Will Stay in Poland, We'll Separate Parties from Uniforms, No Soldier Will Have to Risk Their Life at a Party Picnic
- Trzecia Droga, the future democratic government, guarantees that not a single soldier of Putin's will cross even a meter into Polish territory, not a meter beyond the Polish border, and no agent of Putin, no Orban or Salvini, will feast with the Polish Prime Minister in Warsaw's Łazienki Park. Look at the lesson the Middle East is giving us today: internal weakness provokes external aggression. This foolish dispute, initiated by the Israeli Prime Minister, concerning the rule of law and the courts, led to the country's internal weakness, and the enemy was just waiting for it. We truly have enough enemies outside of Poland to be looking for them within, Mr. Morawiecki. Today, the enemy is outside Poland, and Poles deserve reconciliation, while the Polish armed forces deserve modern equipment. Trzecia Droga guarantees that 50% of defense spending will remain in the country, and that we will separate parties from uniforms, and no soldier or officer will have to risk their life again at a party picnic - said Szymon Hołownia during the debate.

Morawiecki:

Do You Want a Coward as Prime Minister? As Long as PiS Rules, Poland is an Unconquerable Fortress
You see, Donald Tusk couldn't even answer such basic, concrete questions. According to the Civic Platform doctrine, Poland was to be divided by the Vistula River, and Poland to the right of the Vistula was to be defended. This means that a whole part of Poland, a huge part of Poland, was exposed to the Russian soldier. Donald Tusk was wrong on all the most important issues related to Poland's security. When Russia attacked Georgia, President Kaczyński rushed to help, and he? He somehow lacked the courage to do anything. When bombs were falling on Kyiv, I was there with Jarosław Kaczyński, and he? He chickened out again. I therefore appeal to you: do you want a coward as prime minister? As long as PiS rules, Poland is like an unconquerable fortress - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki during the debate.

Maj:

State-owned companies must remain in Polish hands to ensure our security

- I really don't know if there's anything left to privatize. Because the assets that remain in state hands are strategic, like State Forests, energy transmission networks, or power generation plants, and here we see various attacks once again. It's true that in 2009-2010, over 54 Polish companies were sold. I come from Lower Silesia, where 10% of KGHM shares were sold for 2 billion zlotys, for what purpose? In the next three years, dividend profits covered that amount, and there were still shares on the buyers' markets. It was unnecessary. The PiS government criticizes this, but previous speakers have already mentioned it. We sold part of the fuel companies to Arab and Hungarian firms, why? I believe we have many young, talented managers. We need to depoliticize state-owned companies, let the young prove themselves, and run these enterprises so that they remain in Polish hands, ensuring our security and profits, because these companies can achieve such profits – stated Krzysztof Maj during the debate.

Scheuring-Wielgus:

We want a 35-hour work week with the same salary. We don't want to penalize sick leave.

- The truth is, Poland is the country that works the hardest in Europe. We, as The Left, want a modern welfare state, where there is time for family, for work, but also for free time. Poles simply need a bit of breathing room, which is why we want to shorten working hours. We want it to be 35 hours a week, but mind you, with the same salary. Additionally, we don't want to penalize sick leave, because of course people get sick sometimes. We want you to receive 100% of your salary when you are sick, and even then, dear mothers, even when you take time off for a sick child. It is important that all professions, where there is a shortage of teachers and nurses, are well-paid. This is not currently the case, because the state does not reward those who work well. We propose a minimum 25% raise for all public sector professions - stated Izabela Scheuring-Wielgus in a TVP debate.

Bosak:

The Border Must Be Protected, We Cannot Yield to Any Political Correctness Here

- Poland must be strong, Poland must be armed, but someone has to operate all of this. Currently, we are dealing with a kind of success propaganda, meaning the government slept through 6-7 years of its 8-year term. It was only when the crisis at the Belarusian border began that they woke up and went into a buying frenzy, unfortunately not purchasing from the Polish defense industry but mainly from abroad. Sometimes these are products of lower quality than we are capable of producing. However, production lines must first be established to produce here. When production lines are standing idle in Korea or America, that's where we buy, incurring massive, astronomical debt. Regardless of the enormous debt this generates, we need a strong army, we need soldiers with high qualifications to operate all of this. They must be attracted by good salaries, and there needs to be respect for the Polish uniform, which Minister Błaszczak fails to show, using the military instrumentally for propaganda purposes. The border must be protected; we cannot yield to any political correctness here. Every inch of Polish territory must be defended – said Krzysztof Bosak during the debate.

19:30

Tusk to Morawiecki: How much did you earn from real estate dealings during your premiership? 20, 50, 100 million? I'm not surprised your vision of how Poles live is so optimistic
- Unemployment. Today, Jarosław Kaczyński is in Przysucha. Przysucha has 18% unemployment. If Prime Minister Morawiecki is feeling good today, Mr. Mateusz, will you tell Poles how much you earned from real estate dealings during your premiership? 20 million? 50 million? 100 million? You are hiding it very fiercely, and I'm not surprised that your vision of how Poles live is so optimistic - said Donald Tusk in a TVP debate. - Not only is unemployment bothersome in some places in Poland, but above all, prices and wages. Today, the problem is low-paid work. Teachers must receive 30% immediately, and this is my commitment. The public sector - 20%, and this will barely compensate for losses resulting from inflation. Life in Poland must be better, somehow bearable, and this depends on these types of decisions - he continued.

19:30

Morawiecki:

Tusk Hurts Because I Left Big Money for Poland, While He Left Poland for Big Money
Mr. Tusk is hurt by the fact that I left big money for Poland, while he left Poland for big money. During the PO's time, people very often faced such a choice: either work for 5 zł per hour, or unemployment. Either a contract-on-demand or washing dishes in London. 2 million 300 thousand people were unemployed, a number that is Tusk's shame, it's as much as the entire Lublin Voivodeship and even more. The crying of children and mothers – these are tragedies and tears. You were the prime minister of Polish poverty and unemployment, and we fought this greatest pathology of the Third Polish Republic. Today, unemployment is the lowest in Polish history, and this is extremely important. This is a very important achievement, but of course we will do everything to attract new investors, which we have shown can be done, and by the way, I will say that unfortunately Mr. Tusk did not know that pensions up to 2500 zł have been tax-free for 3 years – stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki during the debate.

19:30

Hołownia:

A Vote for PiS Means No Euro from Brussels for Poland
- Yes, [unemployment] is 2.8%, and in a place like Szydłowiec, for example, it's 25%, and something needs to be done about that too. The first thing that needs to be done is to bring investments to Poland. A vote cast for PiS is a vote for not a single euro to reach Poland from the hundreds of millions and billions of zlotys waiting for us in Brussels; this money would help create new jobs in Poland today and reduce unemployment - said Szymon Hołownia in the debate. - Today, we also desperately need a different approach to Polish companies, of which 100,000 closed down this year. We, Trzecia Droga, Polska 2050, and PSL, are proposing ZUS holidays for entrepreneurs, VAT only on paid invoices, and a return to the health contribution rates from before the Polish Deal. We will also liberalize trade on two Sundays a month to stimulate Polish trade and the Polish economy, and those working on that day will, of course, receive appropriate compensation or an extra day off so they can rest with their families - he continued.

19:34

Scheuring-Wielgus:

If You Want Women in Poland to Decide for Themselves on Every Matter, Vote for the Left

- The Left is a team of people for special tasks. We gave Poland a constitution, membership in the European Union, and membership in NATO. We have more important tasks ahead of us. If you want women in Poland to decide for themselves on every matter, vote for the Left. If you want apartments to be built for millions, not for millionaires, vote for the Left. If you want priests to pay the same taxes as their parishioners, then vote for the Left. If you want politics free from quarrels, from name-calling each other, vote for the Left. If you want a Poland for everyone, so that we all feel good in it, vote for the Left. A strong Left in the future government is a guarantee of all this. I am sure of it, vote for the Left. List number 3 - stated Izabela Scheuring-Wielgus in a TVP debate.

19:35

Bosak:

The Government's View That High Inflation Goes Hand-in-Hand with a Good Economy is Simply Wrong
This view presented by the government, that high inflation goes hand-in-hand with a good economic life, is simply wrong. We have high inflation, and we have just entered a recession. 42% more companies want to deregister this year than last year. This is no coincidence; the government itself has destroyed jobs in Poland. It provided gigantic subsidies to international corporations like Volkswagen and Intel, amounting to 30% of total investments, while consistently increasing ZUS for Polish entrepreneurs or sole proprietors, or even prohibiting business activities. It turned Niedzielski into a super economic dictator who decided to shut down tourism, culture, gastronomy – essentially everything without significant foreign capital. In addition, there are restrictions in agriculture, an attempt to delegalize parts of the meat export, an attempt to delegalize parts of livestock farming, and it's no wonder that ultimately, unemployment in the Chełm district stands at 14% this year, and last year, 3,000 immigrants were admitted there - Krzysztof Bosak said during the debate.

19:36

Morawiecki:

On one side PiS, on the other a coalition of war with the president. Let's fight for Poland, it's worth it

- These are the most important elections in years. On one side PiS, on the other a coalition of war with the president. What connects Ms. Scheuring-Wielgus, who slanders John Paul II, with Szymon Hołownia, who wants to take away the 800+ benefit? Both of them are essentially a vote for Tusk. See how Poland has changed, from working for 5 PLN per hour to a minimum of 28 PLN per hour. From the dismantling of local Poland to investments in every municipality. From the pedagogy of shame to pride in Poland. From the liquidation of the Polish army to a strong Polish Army, and finally, from starvation pensions to the 13th and 14th [pensions]. There is still a lot of work ahead of us, we are aware of that, but today we face a simple choice. Either Poland plunged into quarrels and chaos, or a government that is efficient and effective in solving problems. Let's fight for Poland, it's worth it - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki during the debate.

19:40

Tusk Calls on Kaczyński and Morawiecki for Debate: "I am Open to Any Proposal. I Will Be Waiting for You"
- I was wondering: Mateusz, what happened to you? When you asked me for a job, you seemed like a calm and decent person. I don't know what PiS does to people, and this has been going on for years. You've seen what that debate was like: the questions were usually longer than the answers. That's why, and also to stop this chatter about who is a bigger coward: I propose, it's still Friday, the day before the election silence. Come, please, together with President Kaczyński, you can both come. We can have a debate with all the media, perhaps not led by a PiS activist, but I am open to any proposal. And I will be waiting for you on Friday, at a location of your choice - said Donald Tusk during the TVP debate. - I wanted to thank you all, especially the TVP viewers, for listening to us. And as I promised in Warsaw before a million people, on the streets of Warsaw: we will win together, we will hold evil accountable, we will right the wrongs, and we will reconcile the nation. On Christmas Eve, we will shake hands, and you will see, it will be normal - he continued.

19:41

Hołownia:

The Third Way, or a Third Term for PiS
- They have indeed been tested in local action in coalition with PiS, for instance in Lower Silesia [with the Non-Party Local Government Officials]. Don't you get the impression, as you watch this debate, that it's a bit like that joke about the grandfather who was told, "Grandpa, the war ended 20 years ago," and he replied, "Really? Then why have I been blowing up these trains for so long?". Listen, he can go on like that for another 8 years. For 8 years, he will tell us what Tusk did to him 15 years ago, and we still won't have in Poland what we should have had long ago. Refunded IVF for everyone, a safe school for our children, profitable agriculture, low bills for green energy, and above all, what our government guarantees immediately after the elections: national reconciliation. Let me remind you again: our enemy is outside, not inside. I entered politics not to become someone, but to do something, to create a better world for my daughters. With Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, we have shown that cooperation is possible even in Polish politics. That is why today we say: join us on the third way. The Third Way, or a third term for PiS - said Szymon Hołownia during the debate.

19:43

Tusk on PiS: There's No Trace of Enthusiasm Left. They Already Know They're Leaving, That They've Lost

- We must fight for victory until the last hour, until the polling stations close. I want to address everyone. There have been debates about how to vote, what strategies to adopt. Today, it's probably very clear, and I say this based on recent polls and the faces of our opponents today. Mateusz Morawiecki was there, as was the head of their campaign. There's no trace of enthusiasm, no belief in their own strength. They already know they are leaving, that they have lost – stated Donald Tusk at a rally.

19:44

Tusk after the Debate: Victory, First Place in the Elections, is Within Reach

- Victory, first place in the elections, is within reach. Voting for Civic Coalition (KO) practically guarantees not only victory, as it's not about sporting satisfaction, or any gold medal, but about effectively removing PiS from power and quickly forming a good government that will finally make our lives normal again, and our homeland will once more be a place where one wants to live and plan for their future, for their children and grandchildren. This is truly within reach - stated Donald Tusk at a rally.

19:46

Bosak:

The Real Alternative is Confederation, the Only Political Force in Poland Offering Generational, Qualitative, and Mental Change

- You have seen the style of this debate, the mutual digs, the malice, the lack of substance – this is the style of politics between PiS and Civic Platform, who on many fundamental issues like the European Union, Ukraine, energy policy, COVID, did not differ from each other, they voted for the same laws in order to grab each other by the hair in the media and pretend to have a great dispute or to conduct a great dispute. We also have the sidekicks of Civic Platform here, parties that are not a real alternative. The real alternative is Confederation, the only political force in Poland offering generational change, qualitative change, and mental change. Economic freedom, simple and low taxes, voluntary social security contributions for entrepreneurs, cheaper housing, constitutional protection of cash, zero welfare for Ukrainians, moderation in migration policy, a package for responsible migration policy, defense of farmers against bureaucrats from the Polish government and from Brussels, defense of the freedom to use our cars, freedom of movement. Freedom for Poles, a dignified life, life in one's own country – said Krzysztof Bosak during the debate.

20:15

Morawiecki:

If I think about how we've changed Poland, they can pour even bigger buckets of mud on me. It rolls off me like water off a duck's back.
- Do you see what they're saying? What are they trying to do? They're trying to blur our reality. And when is normality? Let's ask ourselves that question. Normality is when there's no poverty among children. When there's no unemployment. When a mother can make ends meet without worry. When pensioners don't have to worry about what to put on the table. That's when there's normality, and it's worth fighting for such normality further - said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at a meeting with supporters after the debate. - When I think about how much, thanks to you, how much you've managed to do, to convince in your local communities, cities, villages, how we've changed Poland, people's lives, they can really pour even bigger buckets of mud on me. It rolls off me like water off a duck's back. Everything for Poland. And that's why you see what hypocrites they are. They say they are for maintaining the border wall, but when we presented the referendum resolution, everyone there who was with me voted against it. These are the biggest hypocrites of Polish politics. Only Law and Justice, dear compatriots, assures that you will be able to answer these four fundamental questions - he continued. - I ask all compatriots, whatever your views, go to the elections, but also vote in the referendum to express your opinion on this matter, and to all those who are hesitant, a few days before the election silence, I have this request: step outside of your glass screens, your smartphones, your newspapers, leave them for 1-2 days. Look around you, maybe in your municipality there's a new road, a nursery, a kindergarten that you've been waiting 40 years for, or maybe there's more work, because they've forgotten there how many investors we've attracted. How many new jobs there are. Somehow they've forgotten. And perhaps then, when you look around, you will make the right decision in your hearts, your minds, who to vote for. Whether for those who perhaps made mistakes sometimes, stumbled, but in our hearts, there is only Poland, and for Poland we want to act and live. Here we want to work, and for Poland we want to do everything - he continued. - We are not the TVN party, the party of those vile portals that manipulate and deceive daily. Dear compatriots, be careful, the camp of the Third Republic is synchronizing like never before. Now every vote counts, yours, who see this change, please call a few of your friends, family, show them this change and show them what a return to the past threatens. They want it to be like it was. Poles as cheap labor, a working mass of subcontractors, and we do not agree to that. Poles are a proud, hardworking, capable nation. For Poles, we will win - he added.

20:38

Szefernaker:

The Vision of a Smiling, Secure Poland with Fulfilled Promises and Equal Opportunities Won. Prime Minister Morawiecki Decisively Won the Debate

- Above all, the vision of a smiling, secure Poland, a Poland of fulfilled electoral promises, a Poland of equal opportunities for all, has won. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, who represents the PiS government, which has a coherent vision for Poland, decisively won this debate. It doesn't have to appeal to everyone, but it is a vision of an ambitious, smiling Poland, a Poland striving to be like the West, but safer, without the mistakes the West has made. Meanwhile, the other vision of Poland is one with clenched teeth; that's how Donald Tusk was in the debate today. Donald Tusk's clenched teeth will be the symbol of Civic Platform in the final days of the campaign, a sad Poland, which lacks a representative from the political sphere who has a vision for Poland. He hid behind other candidates who were in the studio – stated Paweł Szefernaker in the program 'Gość Wiadomości' on TVP Info.

20:47

Szefernaker:

People ask me where the PSL is. The PSL is gone, it betrayed the Polish countryside, it joined forces with Hołownia, with liberals
Today, in this debate, there was practically nothing; other committees said nothing about what to do for smaller towns, about what to do for the Polish countryside. Only PiS represented small towns and the Polish countryside in this debate. Where is the PSL? People are asking me, they write to me, where is the PSL? The PSL is gone, it betrayed the Polish countryside, it joined forces with Hołownia, with liberals, with Petru, who said everything should be privatized, and Hołownia today says he is not even for privatization. They are no Third Way, they are no third choice. They are solely and exclusively Tusk's helpers. In this Third Way, they have several other ways; everyone says something different. It's one big chaos – stated Paweł Szefernaker on the program "Gość Wiadomości" on TVP Info.

20:51

Szefernaker:

Investments are proceeding equally across Poland in every municipality; we will invest in both the smallest and largest

- Of course, we are credible in this. Last weekend, another round of applications for investments across Poland was settled. We do not look at whether someone from one party or another is in power. Investments are proceeding equally across Poland in every municipality; we will invest in the smallest municipalities, as well as the largest ones, because we want balanced development - stated Paweł Szefernaker on the program 'Gość Wiadomości' on TVP Info.
