A New PiS Clip:

Stop 67. Stop Tusk.

- 67 is Donald Tusk's number of shame. Without any qualms, he raised Poles' retirement age to 67 years. 7 years of longer work for women, and when PiS announced it would change this, PO [Civic Platform] proved in every possible way that it was impossible and harmful. Tell Poles the truth finally: you are eager to reinstate the higher retirement age. We give Poles free choice instead of Tusk's dictate. Stop 67. Stop Tusk. There is one simple way to stop him on October 15th: by voting in the referendum and voting for PiS - says Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in a clip published on social media.

Biedroń on the Million Hearts March: It was an important moment for the entire opposition, especially as a declaration was made that we want to co-create the government in the future

- It will strengthen all of us. Yes, because yesterday a million people saw each other, could touch each other, see that they are not alone against all this scum that PiS is up to. I think it was an important moment for the entire opposition, especially as a declaration was made that we want to co-create the government in the future - stated Robert Biedroń on TVN24's "Piasecki's Conversation" program.

08:01

Biedroń:

Many would want to hear this declaration so that we are sure no government with Konfederacja will be formed
– As a leftist, and I think many people in Lewica would want to hear this declaration also so that we are sure that no government with Konfederacja will be formed, that Konfederacja and PiS should be surrounded by a sanitary cordon in these elections, a democratic one for the sake of the state's purity – stated Robert Biedroń on TVN24's program „Rozmowa Piaseckiego”.

08:05

Żukowska on TD Leaders' Absence from the March: "Third Way Made a Good Decision Because It Has a Different Electorate"
- Third Way made a good decision [that its leaders did not appear at the March of a Million Hearts], because it has a different electorate. I believe that for this electorate, which they are vying for, the undecided and perhaps those still considering voting for PiS, it is good because they have a chance to distinguish themselves here, but there is no dispute between us, this is all in full agreement - said Anna Maria Żukowska in an interview with Grzegorz Kępka on Polsat News' "Graffiti".

08:05

Biedroń on PiS Convention: I Saw Fear in Kaczyński's Eyes

- I watched, I saw fear in Kaczyński's eyes. Kaczyński is truly afraid today, he knows he can really lose these elections. This is Kaczyński's third campaign where, until recently, he counted on winning, but this is the first campaign in which I see fear in Kaczyński's eyes - stated Robert Biedroń on TVN24's program "Rozmowa Piaseckiego".

08:10

Sasin:

Orlen is Not Artificially Lowering Fuel Prices

- Of course not [Orlen is not artificially lowering fuel prices] - stated Jacek Sasin in a conversation with Bogdan Rymanowski on Radio Zet.

08:10

Sasin:

The March Was a Failure. Instead of a Million Participants, There Were Likely Around 100,000

- Perhaps Donald Tusk should be asked [what failure tastes like] after yesterday's march, which turned out to be a failure. Instead of a million participants, there were likely around 100,000, yes, everyone agrees on that, except for the organizers themselves - stated Jacek Sasin on Radio Zet.

08:11

Sasin:

There were grand announcements, a million participants were expected, it turned out there were even fewer than on June 4th

- There were grand announcements, a million participants were expected, it turned out there were even fewer than on June 4th. From what I've been able to gather from various sources, it was around 100,000. Even German media yesterday, Die Zeit, spoke of 100,000. That's probably credible for Donald Tusk - stated Jacek Sasin on Radio Zet.

08:11

Żukowska on Immigrants: If They Are Illegal, They Will Be Sent Back to Their Countries of Origin
- If [immigrants] are illegal, they will be sent back to their countries of origin, because only those who have the right to asylum can stay in Poland, as they have fled from a place, from a country where they are persecuted, whether politically or on the grounds of their orientation, sexual identity, for various reasons, but this must be verified, there must be evidence for it, whereas if someone is an economic migrant, they will not receive the right to asylum - said Anna Maria Żukowska on Polsat News.

08:14

Sasin:

Organizers Wrote in Their Application That 100,000 People Would Participate in the March. I Appeal – Let's Believe the Organizers

- Yesterday, Interia published a document, the application for this march at the Warsaw City Hall, where the organizers themselves wrote that 100,000 people would participate in it. So let's believe, please, I appeal, the organizers of this march, Civic Platform. They assumed from the outset that there would be 100,000, meaning they assumed from the outset that there would be 100,000, meaning they lied to Poles that there would be a million – stated Jacek Sasin on Radio Zet.

08:16

Sasin:

Was Ms. Joanna at the March? It Shows Complete Hypocrisy from the Organizers
Furthermore, do you recall, Mr. Editor, the purpose for which this march was called? The defense of Ms. Joanna, allegedly persecuted by the police? Was Ms. Joanna at this march? This demonstrates complete hypocrisy on the part of the organizers of this undertaking, a lack of sincerity, deceit, and falsehood – stated Jacek Sasin on Radio Zet.

08:18

Sasin:

We're Not Afraid of Tusk. We're Showing the Alternative to PiS Rule – Tusk's System

- We're not afraid of Donald Tusk. We're showing the alternative, what the alternative to PiS rule is, that this alternative is Tusk's system – stated Jacek Sasin on Radio Zet.

08:22

Sasin:

Orlen Was Attacked by Opposition Politicians for 'Fleecing Poles' and Demanding Cheaper Fuel. Now, When It Is Cheaper, They Attack Again That It's Too Cheap.

- There is no threat, and I want to state this very clearly, of a fuel shortage, and there is no artificial lowering of prices. These are market actions by Orlen. I would like to remind you that Orlen was repeatedly attacked by opposition politicians, for 'fleecing Poles' – and I am quoting opposition politicians here – for maximizing profits, and that fuel should be cheaper. Today, when this is happening, opposition politicians are attacking again that it is too cheap – stated Jacek Sasin on Radio Zet.

08:26

Sasin:

Kaczyński Would Be the Best Prime Minister. Though Morawiecki is Also a Very Good Prime Minister

- Certainly so [Jarosław Kaczyński would be twice as good a Prime Minister as Mateusz Morawiecki]. Chairman Jarosław Kaczyński would be the best Prime Minister. Though Prime Minister Morawiecki is also a very good Prime Minister - stated Jacek Sasin on Radio Zet.

08:31

Macierewicz:

Migratory Pressure Aimed at Causing an EU Crisis is Orchestrated by Russians

- It is worth realizing, and I believe people in the EU are aware of this, that this entire migratory pressure we are currently facing, which has recently escalated, is actually orchestrated by Russians. Central Africa is being pressured by Wagner forces precisely to drive the EU and European countries into a crisis that will force them to accept Russian pressure on Ukraine, and also on all of Europe. This is the genesis of this structure – stated Antoni Macierewicz in PR24.

08:31

Macierewicz:

Germany, with PO's Support, Wants to Destroy Poland by Forcing Immigration

- And why are Germany agreeing to this, why is Germany pushing for it? Because they want to get rid of these tens of thousands, perhaps even hundreds of thousands of people they brought from Africa and beyond – said Antoni Macierewicz on PR24.

- Chancellor Merkel brought them. It turned out there are incomparably too many of them, that 90% of them do not work at all, are good for nothing, and only use German finances. Consequently, they need to be expelled abroad, preferably expelled to Poland, in order to destroy Poland. Germany is not hiding this at all, and unfortunately, the Civic Platform (PO) supports it – he continued.

08:32

Macierewicz:

A Referendum Decision is One Every Government Must Accept and Implement

- The law in Poland is unequivocal, the regulations are absolutely unequivocal. A referendum decision is one that every government must accept and must implement – stated Antoni Macierewicz on PR24.

- Mr. Donald Tusk is already flying off, so to speak, into some perspective that is difficult to see. He is a man so arrogant and so brazen that he imagines he rules the whole world, not just Poland and not just the EU – he added.

08:32

Macierewicz on Elections: Poles Will Decide if They Want Poland to be Independent or if They Want the Liquidation of the Polish State and Subjugation to Germany. This is the Direction of Civic Platform's Actions.

- It depends on whether these people, who want to destroy Poland in its legal, political, and socio-economic dimensions. Because that is precisely the intention behind what Civic Platform is doing. Whether they take power or not, we will decide. Poles will decide whether they want the Polish state to be independent, or if they want the Constitution of the Republic of Poland to continue to determine the shape of the Polish state. Whether they want to continue this economic, social, political growth (...) Or if they want to agree to the liquidation of the Polish state and its subjugation to Germany, because in essence, this is the direction of Civic Platform's actions – said Antoni Macierewicz in PR24.

08:33

Sasin:

Everything is Under Control. There Will Be No Fuel Shortage

- Everything is under control. There will be no fuel shortage, that is the basic message I wanted to convey - stated Jacek Sasin on Radio Zet.

08:36

Sasin Asked Who Will Be Prime Minister If PiS Wins: We'll Decide After the Elections

- We will decide after the elections [who will be prime minister if PiS wins]. President Kaczyński is a natural candidate for prime minister, as the president, the leader of the ruling camp, the victorious camp. But every party that wins elections has the right to decide who will be the prime minister of its government, and we have made such a decision in the past regarding Prime Minister Szydło, then Prime Minister Morawiecki, and we will make such a decision after these elections as well. And it is obvious that the incumbent prime minister, who is extremely active in the campaign and is the face of our political camp, is a strong candidate to continue his mission – stated Jacek Sasin on Radio Zet.

08:37

Żukowska on Lubnauer's Words: What She Said Is Quite Disgusting
- I know Katarzyna [Lubnauer]; generally, she has sensible opinions, but what she said [that the Left wanted to profit from Ms. Joanna's case] is quite disgusting, really. Because, I'm sorry, but if you are truly fighting for the right to abortion, you always fight for it. For example, I haven't seen Katarzyna at the Manifa (women's rights march), I haven't seen her at any other demonstrations recently on this matter. And accusing the Left of something like this, which is truly credible, has twice liberalized the law on abortion, and stands with women when they need it, is simply distasteful - said Anna Maria Żukowska on Polsat News.

Civic Coalition Presents Campaign Video Featuring Children: 'Vote for Us'

The Civic Coalition has released an election campaign video on social media, which was first shown during the March of a Million Hearts in Warsaw. The recording features children describing the kind of Poland they would like to live in.

- Vote for us - they say.

08:53

Morawiecki:

We Are Facing a Second Assassination Attempt on John Paul II
  • John Paul II - our great compatriot was not only, it can be boldly said, the greatest of Poles, but also one of the most outstanding figures in the world. He influenced the fate of the world, he influenced it in a peaceful way with his peaceful, warm love, with his mission. He changed nations, he changed them for the better, he overthrew evil systems. It is certainly to him that we also owe our freedom in Poland. It was he who awakened the Polish nation in 1979 during his first pilgrimage. It is undeniable that it was thanks to him that Solidarność was formed, this great, unique movement in world history, which also led to our freedom, to our independence, and thus Pope John Paul II was not only an outstanding figure in our history, but also in world history. He was the creator of Polish freedom, the creator of Solidarność - stated Mateusz Morawiecki in Wadowice.
  • John Paul II - our great compatriot, a saint today, is also someone who cared about the family, about the Polish family, about ensuring that the family is at the top of the decalogue of matters for all those who lead the state and local government, all those who deal with state affairs. At the same time, John Paul II cared about national identity. For him, the national community was a great value, and these few of his views, captured in his legacy, are today our undeniable, great, and very important foundation on which we want to build a better future, but unfortunately, bricks are being removed from this foundation by various circles, usually leftist, liberal ones - he continued.
  • It must be said directly that 41 years and some change after the first assassination attempt on the Pope, today we are dealing with a second assassination attempt on John Paul II. We are dealing with an attack on his legacy, on his thought, on his love for Poland. There are circles, unfortunately, also very close to Civic Platform, that want to pull down monuments to John Paul II, that want to remove the name of John Paul II from schools and hospitals, that want to destroy his good name. We also know that filmmakers and reporters from the immediate circle of Civic Platform have already prepared films slandering the good name of John Paul II. Today they still fear releasing them, but they hope to launch a powerful attack on John Paul II after October 15th, after the upcoming elections - he added.

09:01

Sasin:

I Am Convinced PiS Will Get Enough Votes to Govern Alone. Any Other Result Means Chaos

- Certainly, PiS will get, I am convinced of this, enough votes to govern alone. I would wish for that, because any other result will simply mean chaos. An attempt to create some exotic anti-PiS coalition, from the Left to the extreme Left, to Confederation, simply cannot succeed. Or the alternative will be further elections, meaning a period of many months of instability in Poland in the face of dangers and threats in Ukraine - stated Jacek Sasin on Radio Zet.

09:01

Sasin:

We're Playing for an Independent Majority and We're Convinced It's Absolutely Possible

- I won't speculate now [about a potential coalition]. We're playing for an independent majority, and we're convinced that it's absolutely possible. The polls indicate that we are really very close to achieving this goal, and I think the mobilization of our voters will help us greatly here. I appeal for this mobilization – stated Jacek Sasin on Radio Zet.

09:19

Fogiel:

We Appeal to the Undecided Not to Make This Mistake, Not to Grant Trust to a Man Who Has Already Deceived Poles Many Times

- Today, at the peak of the crisis related to the war in Ukraine, after the pandemic which also had the effect of a global economic crisis, unemployment is at its lowest in history after 1989. This is a fundamental difference. We appeal to the undecided not to make this mistake, not to grant trust to a man who has already deceived Poles many times - stated Radosław Fogiel in an interview with Marcin Fijołek on Siódma9.

09:52

The Left Presents the Confederation's Wheel of Fortune. "You Go to Jail for an Abortion - So Does Your Doctor"
- We certainly don't need to convince you why it's not worth voting for Law and Justice, because everyone sees what Law and Justice is like. But I am convinced that many voters, especially women, still don't fully understand what's at stake here. And at stake is our freedom, at stake is whether the future government will be a government of the extreme right [...] or a pro-democratic, pro-European, pro-women government. This is the kind of government we want to create, and our enemy in this mission is the Confederation, Magdalena Biejat said at a press conference. - Today we have a special proposal for you: play the Confederation's Wheel of Fortune. Let's see what we can win if Mr. Braun, Mr. Mentzen, or Mr. Bosak can declare victory in these elections. [...] We prepared the Wheel of Fortune based on the declarations of the Confederation's leaders, not on their program, because they themselves admit that their program is a joke and a bit of a sham, she continued. - "Want to go mushroom picking? Pay for entry to the forest, because it's privatized." A Confederation state aims to privatize everything in Poland [...]. A Confederation state will be a state that shrinks, a state that closes public services and forces us to pay for everything, she went on to say. The Confederation's Wheel of Fortune also featured slogans such as "You go to jail for an abortion - so does your doctor," "You ask the bishop for a divorce - don't forget the envelope," and "Firearms for everyone - put a bulletproof vest on your child before they go to school."

10:51

Morawiecki:

We Will Continue Our Investments in Sport, Which Are at a Level Incomparable to What Came Before

- It is important to also invest broadly in sport here in Myślenice. There is the Wisła Kraków Centre, a training centre. We have also established certain further steps to develop the training centre, because it serves children and youth throughout the district, so they do not have to travel to Krakow, but so these trainings can take place here. For me, sport, football, is about shaping character, discipline, and something that is actually essential for every young person entering adult life. I thank everyone, and Kuba Błaszczykowski, with whom I've discussed more than just the first project today, as well as the mayor and PiS parliamentarians, and the governor, for taking such good care of the physical development of youth and children - Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki stated at a press briefing in Myślenice.

- From my side, I can certainly say that we will continue our investments in sport, which are at a level entirely incomparable to what came before. I will cite just two figures: 2015, PLN 950 million; 2023, PLN 3.7 billion. See what growth this is in expenditure, investment in sports infrastructure, sports activity, physical culture, amateur and professional sport - he added.

10:59

Kobosko:

A New Academic Year Begins, and One Can Say – New Year, Same Old Misery
The new academic year is starting, and one can say – new year, same old misery when it comes to higher education and scientific research. The Polish state treats higher education institutions in such a way that Polish universities are starved today. The Polish state spends 1.1% of its gross domestic product on higher education and scientific research; this is a ridiculously low amount, a ridiculously low value, as a share of GDP, given the challenges we face. We are proposing very clearly and firmly an immediate increase in state expenditure on this crucial sphere for all of us, for the future development of Poland, for our nation, for our society, for our chances in an extremely competitive world – stated Michał Kobosko during a press conference. - We are proposing an increase to 2% of GDP now and to 2.5% by the year 2030. These are the bare minimums necessary for us to stop falling behind in this international race, because that is realistically what is happening right now – he added.

11:01

Thun:

We Need to Change the Government, Otherwise We'll Continue to Face Such Educational Problems

- We need to change the government on October 15, because otherwise none of this will amount to anything, and we will continue to have the educational problems we all know about. It's not by chance that we are in front of the Polytechnic building. You surely know that the European Union's strategy is significantly higher development, greater funding for research and development, because we want to free ourselves from importing the best, most modern, highest technologies, from importing from third countries. The European Union must become self-sufficient when it comes to the production of new technologies. Meanwhile, when we look at the situation of universities in Poland, my Jagiellonian University ranks 383rd in Europe, the University of Warsaw is 409th, the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow is 602nd. This will not lead to good results for our science, for research and technological development – stated Róża Thun during a press conference.

- Additionally, the Polish government and Minister Czarnek personally either insult their partners in the European Union, I mean institutions, or member states, cities, universities, turning their backs on them instead of establishing close cooperation. Cooperation between universities is, to this day, key to further development and is highly promoted by European funds, which we are again not utilizing. Grants that can be used are very limited, and when they are distributed, it's in an atmosphere of scandal, and some have to be withdrawn. All of this causes students to have a much more difficult start than students at universities in other countries. We can change this, only by changing this government – she added.

11:01

Kobosko:

The Democratic Opposition Will Win These Elections Decisively
We are ready for it, we are ready [for cooperation with the opposition]. We believe that the democratic opposition will win these elections decisively on October 15th, and secondly, that these three electoral alliances created within the opposition will be able to efficiently form a government, a government that is stable. They will know, we already know what we should focus on first – stated Michał Kobosko during a press conference.

11:03

Kobosko:

Yesterday There Were Two Worlds. Warsaw Showed Smiles, While Spodek Displayed Grim Faces, Threats, and Division

- Frankly speaking, yesterday there were two worlds. The world we saw at the march in Warsaw, the world our leaders saw during the '1000 Meetings' tour across Poland, and the world that gathered in Spodek, which was about frightening, dividing, inciting, and insulting people. This is consistent with the approach of Law and Justice, with President Kaczyński; it is indeed a consistency, but it is a consistency in the name of evil, in the name of dividing people, in the name of saying that there are better and worse ones. We are absolutely against this, we oppose it. In Warsaw, we saw smiles and kind people, while there were grim faces, threats, division, and scaremongering about the worst that would happen if the opposition took power - stated Michał Kobosko during a press conference.

Pomaska on PiS Politicians: They Can Still Win, They Serve TVP Which Receives Nearly PLN 3 Billion Annually. We Will Spend These PLN 3 Billion on Fighting Cancer
- There is a chance that PiS, unfortunately by financially dominating this election campaign too, might win. They can still win, they are still counting on it. Pay attention to how they use lies, how they serve public television, which receives nearly three billion zlotys annually. I will point out that they spend these three billion zlotys on a smear campaign, on lies, on propaganda. We will spend these three billion zlotys on fighting cancer in Poland - said Agnieszka Pomaska at a press conference.

11:13

Pomaska to Kaczyński: Poland is Changing, the Time for Reckoning is Coming
- One message to Mr. Jarosław Kaczyński: Mr. Jarosław Kaczyński, Poland is changing, the time for reckoning is coming – said Agnieszka Pomaska at a press conference.

Fogiel:

PiS Has Always Been Focused on the EU

- PiS's course has always been towards the EU. I will prove to you that this opinion has no basis in fact. From the very EU referendum, PiS was in favour of Poland joining the EU. Back then, Porozumienie Centrum (Centre Agreement), the predecessor to Lech and Jarosław Kaczyński's party, was one of the first to postulate Poland's entry into the EU and European structures, even in the 90s, when many of today's Euro-enthusiasts didn't believe it was possible at all. Poland is and wants to be a member of the EU, but the EU must be based on treaty principles - stated Radosław Fogiel in a conversation with journalists in the Sejm.

13:10

Morawiecki:

Visiting Towns on Our Route, We Want to Show What Has Been Achieved. But Also to Warn Against Those Who Didn't Want to Do Much

- I will give just one example here from the Lesser Poland Voivodeship, where today we are moving from point to point since 6 AM. By visiting the towns along our route, we want to show what has been achieved. But also to warn against those who, it seems, didn't want to do much and who didn't have a budget as well-sealed to be able to help Volunteer Fire Brigades – said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in Łapanów.

- Ladies and gentlemen, in the eight years of Civic Platform (PO) rule, here in Lesser Poland, 120-something fire trucks of various types were delivered. And the identical criterion for eight years of Law and Justice (PiS) rule: 320-something. 120-something, 320-something. Ladies and gentlemen, 200 more fire trucks. Almost three times as many as during the PO era – he continued.

13:11

Morawiecki:

I encourage everyone in municipalities across Poland to enter the race for a million zloty for a fire station

- I also want to emphasize what is our new program for the coming weeks. This is the battle for fire stations, meaning additional funds for fire stations for the municipality that wins in its pro-turnout activities. We are very keen for the turnout across the country to be roughly equal. It cannot be that village residents are underrepresented, that municipality residents are insufficiently represented. Because they participated in elections to a lesser extent, perhaps because the polling station was too far away, or for any other reasons. These pro-turnout activities are primarily aimed at making our democracy equal, just, and proportional – stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in Łapanów.

- Therefore, I encourage everyone in municipalities and districts across Poland, to participate in this race for a million zloty for a fire station. And where there is no fire station, it is also possible to use these funds for other public utility buildings – he added.

Morawiecki:

Under PO, Polarized-Diffusive Development Prevailed, We Changed That. Balanced Development is the PiS Government's Core Priority

- Poland A, Poland B, Poland C – these were the various liberal notions, views on our country's development. Do you recall those models, polarized-diffusive development? Well, back then, it meant that large cities developed splendidly, while municipalities like the Łapanów municipality, and many others across Poland, lacked sufficient resources. And we have changed that – stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in Łapanów.

- This program once again confirms that the principle of balanced, responsible, and just development is the fundamental priority, the core principle of the PiS government's functioning – he continued.

Kierwiński:

I am convinced that the impact of this march will energize the entire opposition to win these elections

- This was undoubtedly the biggest political event of the last 30 years. People from all over Poland came here at Donald Tusk's invitation. People came who were smiling, open, tolerant, all those who want real change in Poland. We thank them very much for that. Thank you for being with us, you are fantastic, we truly feel this gigantic energy that you showed yesterday on the streets of Warsaw - stated Marcin Kierwiński during a press conference of Civic Coalition.

- On the route of the march, there were only smiling people, people who peacefully, civically demonstrated their opposition to what PiS is doing, but above all, the gigantic strength of civil society. Yesterday there were over a million of us, in two weeks there will be 10 times more. I am convinced that the impact of this march will energize the entire opposition to win these elections on October 15th (...) It was a great honor that you could be with us, that we could be with you, and this is a gigantic energy that will be utilized to restore a smiling, democratic, and tolerant Poland on October 15th - he added.

Grabiec on the March: I Call on PAP and TVP, which have become PiS's Campaign Weapons, to at least not distort reality regarding facts

- We know that the topic of the day yesterday was the number of participants in the march. We know that there were over a million participants, sources confirm this. Therefore, I would like to sincerely thank the Warsaw Police Headquarters for refuting the false data that appeared in the public sphere yesterday. Namely, the Polish Press Agency and TVP provided false information, claiming that police officers allegedly counted 100,000 participants. The commandant's spokesman debunked this information. The police stated that they did not count the participants of the march, nor did they provide any data. The data that appeared in PAP and in TVP news are fake data; please do not refer to them - stated Jan Grabiec during a Civic Coalition press conference.

- I call on the Polish Press Agency and TVP, which have now become the campaign weapons of PiS, to at least not distort reality regarding facts, because this is an affront to the tradition of this company, of this institution, which is the Polish Press Agency - he added.

KGHM Launches 'Digital Future of Copper' Educational Program

PARTNER TEXT
KGHM has inaugurated a new educational program for high school students called "Digital Future of Copper." The pilot project involved 250 students from 8 institutions in the Copper Basin and the Lubusz Voivodeship. The project is coordinated by the copper company's branch, the Central Information Processing Center (COPI).
The KGHM program aims to foster the development of high school students in professions where digital competencies are essential. The IT industry has recently been a leader both in terms of employer needs and salary attractiveness. The KGHM program's pilot demonstrated the immense importance of building digital skills from the very beginning of the educational path.

Participants in the pilot took part in lectures at the Wrocław University of Science and Technology and the Tadeusz Kościuszko Land Forces Academy in Wrocław, among other activities. They learned the basics of cybersecurity, had the opportunity to learn about image processing mechanisms, and saw 3D scanners. Surveys conducted among students indicate that they are most interested in practical exercises and workshops with IT experts.

– We are inaugurating a program that is incredibly necessary in the current times. The pilot showed that young residents of the Copper Basin want to explore the digital world with us and are interested in modern technologies. The project will allow us to increase KGHM's influence on the local IT specialist job market, which we need in our branches – said Tomasz Zdzikot, President of the Management Board of KGHM Polska Miedź S.A.

– The event is a valuable initiative aimed at improving students' digital competencies and enhancing the quality of vocational education. It is worth noting that the initiative contributes to preparing participants for entering the job market of the digital era. The undertaking is targeted at high school students pursuing IT-related fields. I thank KGHM for their commitment and cooperation – said Marzena Machałek, Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Education and Science, during the inauguration.

Representatives of the KGHM branch emphasize that within the program, they provide students with an enhancement of vocational skills and the opportunity to link theory with practice. – Participants have the chance to test their skills in real-world conditions, participate in interesting lectures and didactic classes. Everyone will surely find an interesting area for themselves. We want students to have opportunities for visits to KGHM branches, internships, or apprenticeships in our company in the future – added a COPI representative.

The inauguration of the "Digital Future of Copper" program took place at the General Education Complex of the United Nations of Europe in Polkowice. The project's ambassador is Petros Psyllos, a well-known electronics engineer, programmer, and innovator. In his professional activities, he is involved in implementing modern technologies, including artificial intelligence applications and virtual assistants.

The "Digital Future of Copper" program is aimed at high school students: technical schools with IT-focused classes and general high schools with science-oriented tracks – future potential students of IT fields.

The inauguration covered 8 schools:

TECHNICZNY ZESPÓŁ SZKÓŁ POLITECHNICZNYCH IN GŁOGOWE
ELECTRICAL AND MECHANICAL SCHOOL COMPLEX IN LEGNICA
GENERAL EDUCATION COMPLEX OF THE UNITED NATIONS OF EUROPE IN POLKOWICE
SCHOOL COMPLEX NO. 2 NAMED AFTER JAN WYŻYKOWSKI IN LUBIN
SCHOOL COMPLEX NO. 1 NAMED AFTER PROF. BOLESŁAW KRUPIŃSKI IN LUBIN
ELECTRONIC SCHOOL COMPLEX NAMED AFTER I. DOMEYKI IN BOLESŁAWIEC
I GENERAL HIGH SCHOOL NAMED AFTER BOLESŁAW KRZYWOSTOSZWY IN GŁOGOWE
STANISŁAW STASZIC SCHOOL COMPLEX IN WSCHOWA
In addition to specialists from COPI, the "Digital Future of Copper" program is supported by the expertise of staff and students from the Wrocław University of Science and Technology and the Tadeusz Kościuszko Land Forces Academy in Wrocław. Classes and lectures, scientific conferences, and seminars with the participation of experts are planned for the students. Young residents of the Copper Basin will also have the opportunity to visit KGHM branches.

Since 2018, KGHM has been implementing the "Competent in the Mining and Metallurgy Industry" program. This project, under the patronage of the copper company, covers 9 schools in the Copper Basin. Students have opportunities for lessons with KGHM specialists or scholarships for the best academic results. The project's goal is to prepare graduates of technical and vocational schools for employment at KGHM.

We Have Acquired Licenses for Five More Offshore Wind Farms
The Baltic Sea will become the most important source of clean energy in Poland! We have acquired licenses for five more offshore wind farms. Together with the already prepared Baltic Power project, they will generate enough energy to power as many as 9.5 million households - Orlen announced.

Sasin:

The Lublin Voivodeship, like all of Eastern Poland, was deprived of major infrastructural investments and was a region abandoned by previous governments
- Chełm is one of those places on the map of Poland, one of those cities that has benefited greatly from the PiS governments. The last 8 years have been good 8 years here in Chełm, in the Chełm region, but also throughout the Lublin region. The Lublin region, which not so long ago was one of the poorest regions in the EU, the poorest region in Poland – said Jacek Sasin in Chełm. - The Lublin Voivodeship, like all of Eastern Poland, was deprived of major infrastructural investments, was a region abandoned by previous governments, was a region where, indeed, little happened in terms of investment. This also had an impact on the social situation. Unemployment in this region was very high, noticeably high. In the city of Chełm itself, unemployment reached 18.3% (...). This was a very serious social problem, but it was precisely the result of this investment stagnation, the fact that this region was left to its own devices – he added.

15:14

Sasin:

In These 8 Years, Radical Changes in Infrastructure Investments in Eastern Poland are Visible. This is Over 41% of All Investments in the Expressways and Motorways Network.

- This has radically changed over these last 8 years. Against the backdrop of Poland, it can be seen that these investments were particularly intensive here, when it comes to expressways and motorways. If we overlay this onto the map of Poland, and a lot has happened here too, 2049 km of new expressways and motorways have been opened for use during these last 8 years. That is 40, over 41% of the entire network of expressways and motorways in Poland – stated Jacek Sasin in Chełm.

- It is also here in this region that we have tangible proof of a breakthrough, 140 km of expressways already opened for use on the S17 route, fragments of the S12 and S19, meaning Via Carpatia, and over 260 km of roads under construction – he continued.

15:20

Morawiecki:

We Stand with Farmers, Through Thick and Thin

- We stand with farmers, through thick and thin. As the deadline for the end of the embargo on Ukrainian grain approached, I told Brussels very clearly that either you extend this ban on the import of Ukrainian grain, or we will implement this ban ourselves. Unfortunately, they did not extend it, and therefore, we acted here independently. Because where the interests of Polish farmers, of various categories – those who work only with grain, or livestock breeders, or fruit growers – are at stake, we will always intervene in their defense, in their interest. This was shown very clearly by the example of the entire recent problem with Ukrainian grain, but this is not the only such situation – stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in Mikołajowice.

15:23

Morawiecki:

I've conveyed a clear message to the Ukrainian government. You must consider the interests of Polish farmers

- We are also speaking directly to the Ukrainian authorities. Do not do anything that goes against the interests of Polish farmers. The Polish government, PiS, because not every government, will always stand on the side of Polish farmers. I have conveyed a clear message to the Ukrainian government. You must consider the interests of Polish farmers - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in Mikołajowice.

16:59

Sasin:

Since 1989, successive governments have focused solely on large urban centers. PiS has adopted a policy to erase the divide between Poland A and B
- In fact, for the entire period since 1989, the focus of successive governments, whether left-wing or liberal, has been solely on large urban agglomerations. Only the big cities [...] could enjoy the support of successive governments, while local Poland, Włodawa, the Włodawa district, and many such places here in the Lublin Voivodeship, in eastern Poland, remained forgotten. The residents here were left to their own devices - said Jacek Sasin at a press briefing in Włodawa. - When PiS won the elections in 2015 [...], we adopted a policy of sustainable development as the foundation of our policy, aiming to erase the division of Poland into a better and worse Poland, Poland A and B. I remember when I had the honor of working with the late President Lech Kaczyński, he repeatedly stated that this division into Poland A and B [...] must finally end, that this detrimental division weighs heavily on our country's development - he continued.

17:33

Morawiecki:

Poland with strengthening domestic defense industries, or a disarmed Poland – this is the question we will face
- We have repaired the Polish budget, and today we are allocating not 1.95 [percent], but twice as much for defense spending – nearly 4 percent of GDP. [...] This is a huge additional effort, made possible by the fact that the budget has been repaired after our unfortunate predecessors - Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said at the Polish Aviation Works in Mielec. - Everyone who cares about Poland's security, as well as arms production in Poland, production of highly advanced machines, like the Black Hawks here or the Krabs in Stalowa Wola, other parts of weaponry [...], must know that this is directly dependent on who manages the budget and how. [...] Employees were being laid off from Polish defense plants just 10 years ago. In Stalowa Wola, a significant part of the company was converted to produce or assemble, one might say, Chinese excavators, and in Gliwice, the largest group layoffs in Silesia - he continued. - The question we face in less than 2 weeks – whether Poland with its own strengthening defense industries [...], or a disarmed Poland, a Poland that is losing its potential and is dependent on others. We will all face this question - he emphasized.

17:46

Morawiecki:

PLN 262 Billion VAT Gap – I Can't Wait for an Election Lawsuit, Which Means Our Competitors Accept This Number
- Let's hope no one ever has the opportunity to ruin this budget again, as happened in the past, as I'm showing with the numbers, and since I can't wait for an election lawsuit, it means our competitors absolutely accept this figure, that they lost 262 billion zlotys during their time in power due to the VAT gap, as demonstrated in PwC reports and European Commission reports - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at the Mielec Aircraft Industry Company.

- This is a colossal loss, a gigantic scandal. We've taken that money, and part of it we are investing in Polish armaments, and we will continue to do so if that is the verdict, the decision of the voters - he added.

18:37

Hołownia:

Kaczyński Makes People Addicted to Fear
- This is not the first time Kaczyński has used this method of making people addicted to fear through a mechanism known in psychology as an emotional rollercoaster. That is, first I scare you, so that I can then embrace you. Because if I embraced you immediately, you might have a problem with it. But if I first scare you, identify the demon that torments you, name it, and then call myself the liberator, you will accept my embrace and be grateful to me, because I am the savior, not someone who embraces you inappropriately - said Szymon Hołownia in an interview with Grzegorz Sroczyński on RMF FM's "Popołudniowa rozmowa".

18:44

Hołownia on Early Elections: This Risk Has Been Significantly Mitigated by What Happened to Konfederacja
- I think this risk [of early elections] has been significantly mitigated by what happened to Konfederacja [...]. The more Grzegorz Braun speaks before the elections, the more our hearts will swell, and Poland will be safer. We stopped this threat, which was Konfederacja [...] because we were the party that was [...] a parking lot in the best sense of the word, meaning a place where you can calmly catch your breath and consider where to go next - said Szymon Hołownia on RMF FM.

18:50

Hołownia:

The most undecided voters are in smaller towns. Hołownia had to be in the countryside and people had to hear it.
- That [if a 'soft PiS supporter' is to support TD, its leaders cannot stand on stage next to Tusk] is one thing, but another is that our activists were also there, so it's not like we surrounded the march with some sanitary cordon. [...] We now have a lot of different, cross-sectional studies, and they clearly show, as clear as day, that the largest percentage of undecided voters today is in villages and smaller towns. This is a twofold overrepresentation [...] Hołownia had to be in the countryside and people in the countryside had to hear it, just like Kosiniak - said Szymon Hołownia in RMF FM.

18:53

Morawiecki:

There are Two Visions for Poland - Kaczyński's Polish Vision and Tusk's German Vision
- One could say that there are two visions for Poland. There is Jarosław Kaczyński's and Law and Justice's Polish vision. This vision, which helped pull Poland out of the neoliberal mess of Civic Platform. And there is Tusk's German vision, that's how it needs to be viewed in simplification. [...] Everything, the most important things he did in those times, in many aspects, simply corresponded to German policy. And this is a policy to which we cannot return – said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in Stalowa Wola.

18:56

Hołownia on Whether He Would Like to Be in the Government: If That's How Coalition Arrangements Turn Out, I'll Definitely Be There
- If that's how coalition arrangements turn out, I'll definitely be [in the future government]. I absolutely won't shy away from that, I have no coyness about it, but I also have a lot of humility after these three years - said Szymon Hołownia in RMF FM when asked if he would like to be in the government.

18:56

Morawiecki:

I Felt the Power in Spodek Yesterday. The Walls Were Trembling
- I felt the power in Spodek, in Katowice yesterday. Perhaps some of you were there too. Did you feel that power? The walls were trembling. I also feel such power here, in Stalowa Wola - said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in Stalowa Wola.

19:17

Morawiecki:

When I say the stakes in these elections are the highest, I also mean the existence of nation-states
- The choice before us is not just a choice about what Poland will be. Not just a choice that answers the question of whose Poland it will be, but it's a deeper, more important choice: whether there will be a Poland at all. That's the question we must answer - Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said in Stalowa Wola. - Literally, in these very days, proposals for changes to the treaties in the European Union are being processed, which PO, the MPs of Tusk, are voting for. Proposals that de facto lead – and this is included in those declarations – to the liquidation of nation-states, to the centralization of decision-making on behalf of Poles somewhere in Brussels, meaning, in reality, by Berlin - he continued. - Tax competence will cease to be our, Polish, competence. According to the new draft proposals by PO, which is voting for treaty changes, these changes go very deep, they go towards actually renouncing nation-states. Then, indeed, the rulers will listen to the next Angela Merkel to do what they will order us to do - he continued. - That's why when I say that the stakes in this matter, in these elections, are the highest, I also mean this – the existence of sovereign, national states. [...] October 12th, be vigilant [...] the constitutional committee of the European Parliament is to vote on the adoption of these changes - he emphasized.

19:29

Morawiecki:

I will issue a firm veto against accepting illegal immigrants into Poland at the European Council summit
- Members of the Civic Platform voted for accelerating work on adopting the migration pact. We might have thought two months ago, a month ago, when they said: why a referendum, we all agree anyway. See what a lie. Tusk's party demands the acceleration of the migration pact's implementation – Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said in Stalowa Wola. - The only guarantee that this will not happen is to vote en masse against illegal immigration in the referendum. […] If we are against accepting illegal immigrants in an uncontrolled manner, then one must vote for PiS – he argued. - This week I am going to represent Poland at the European Council summit in Spain […]. I can promise you, here today, in Stalowa Wola, that I will issue a firm veto against accepting illegal immigrants into Poland. Because these are matters of our security – he declared. - Poland is safe, but many countries in Western Europe are not safe. We do not want this import of threat, this import of danger into Poland. We will veto it, this threat – he added.

19:37

Morawiecki:

We Must Rouse People, Because They and Their Electorate Are More Mobilized Than Ours
- We must rouse people, because they and their electorate are more mobilized than ours. Our people, our voters, seem to think that everything will stay the same. No, ladies and gentlemen. Tusk's system [...] is a system completely opposite to what we are dealing with today. If Tusk's system returns, all its pathologies will return – Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said in Stalowa Wola.

19:49

Morawiecki:

We Made Many Mistakes and We Want to Apologize for Them. But Everything We Did, We Did Out of Love for Poland
- We are certainly not perfect, we are not a party of angels. We certainly make mistakes, we have made many. And for them, we can and want to apologize, and I do apologize. Besides, only those who do nothing make no mistakes. But everything we did, we did out of love for Poland. And think about how many things we managed to achieve. How much we managed to do for families, seniors, people with disabilities, smaller towns, villages - said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in Stalowa Wola.

20:00

Morawiecki:

These elections are not fair. TVN, Onet, WP's party. They fully support them, they are a propaganda mouthpiece for PO
- I want to say something directly to certain media outlets and our political opponents. We know that the way you are organizing these elections is not fair. We know that these elections are not equal. Look, the party of TVN, the party of Onet, the party of Wirtualna Polska. These biggest media of the Third Polish Republic are openly… These are not media, you are right, this is urban propaganda, pouring out 24 hours a day. They fully support them, 110%. This is a propaganda mouthpiece for PO - said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in Stalowa Wola.

20:09

Morawiecki:

KPO Funds Will Arrive After October 15th. I Am Confident About It
- We see these votes by Civic Platform in the European Union against Poland, aimed at blocking the KPO for Poland. We are implementing KPO projects with our own funds anyway, and these funds will arrive after October 15th. I am confident about it - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in Stalowa Wola.

20:46

Kaczyński:

If there's a party in Poland that has practically shown it has absolutely nothing to do with security, it's Civic Platform
- If there is a party in Poland that has shown in practice that it literally has nothing to do with security and completely disregards security, to put it mildly, then it is Civic Platform in all areas - stated Jarosław Kaczyński in an interview with Danuta Holecka on TVP Info's "Gość Wiadomości".

20:52

Kaczyński:

From Germany's Perspective, Poland's Elections are Crucial. They Want to Ultimately Dominate Europe

- From Germany's perspective, [the elections in Poland] are a very important matter. Germany wants to realize, through different methods, its very old plan, because they have such a tendency towards expansion, towards domination, meaning to ultimately dominate Europe, perhaps excluding France, though I wouldn't be sure if the French are doing the right thing by going down this path with Germany. The situation is such that Poland can indeed effectively say 'no' here, and it will say it when we are in power, not when they are in power - stated Jarosław Kaczyński on the program "Gość Wiadomości" on TVP Info.

20:55

Kaczyński:

We Don't Want to Take Poland Out of the EU, but We Want an EU Where Poland is a Subject
- We don't want to [take Poland out of the European Union]; after all, we are the continuation of PC, that was the first party that wanted to join, then still the EEC, and we have never changed our minds. However, we want a European Union in which Poland will be a subject, Poles will be citizens, law will matter, those treaties that we have ratified, today are very often not observed, are broken, very often towards our country, but also towards other countries. We want this to change, that is obvious. We count on this changing, that the upcoming European elections, and then further transformations in Europe, will lead to us having a European Union, but differently organized, and a European Union that will be able to play a truly very positive role also on a global scale, but precisely because it will respect the rights of nations, the rights of states - stated Jarosław Kaczyński on TVP Info.

20:57

Kaczyński on Civic Platform: In Short, Not Democracy, But Manipulation
- Since the establishment of this formation, the principle has been not to tell the truth, not to talk to citizens, but to use various socio-technical tricks. In short, not democracy, but manipulation – stated Jarosław Kaczyński on TVP Info.

21:00

Kaczyński:

We Guarantee Stable Government, We've Shown It Over 8 Years, While There Will Be Squabbles Among Ruling Parties

- We guarantee stable government, we have shown this over 8 years, and there they will have squabbles among the ruling parties, they already are, because they have already failed to reach an agreement on certain matters. Squabbles of that whole formation with the president, they have already told the president, I apologize for quoting, that "the president's pipe will soften," this means a war with the National Bank, with the Constitutional Tribunal, a number of other wars, and this leads to anarchy. Promises of revenge lead to something that can be compared to even greater dangers. Instead of peace and development, we will have one big brawl and a regression in terms of quality of life - stated Jarosław Kaczyński in the program "Gość Wiadomości" on TVP Info.

21:01

Kaczyński:

These are very important elections – will the much more just and effective PiS system be maintained, or the unjust and ineffective system dependent on Germany and Russia, characteristic of Tusk?
- These are very important [elections]. Firstly, because the question must be posed, and this is a very important question in these elections, although perhaps not the most important: whether the PiS system will be maintained. A system of governance, a socio-economic system which, in my deepest conviction, is both much more effective and much more just than the previous one. Or else the Tusk system, which was unjust, ineffective, and on the other hand, was also completely dependent on external factors, meaning on the one hand Germany, and on the other hand Russia. Moreover, the dependence on Germany should probably be considered primary here – stated Jarosław Kaczyński on TVP Info.

21:04

Kaczyński:

During the PO era, around 30% of children were at risk of poverty; now it's about 3%
- It was a great consent to the plundering of the country. This consent determined the impossibility of conducting various kinds of policies, especially social and economic policies, but also in areas such as armaments. And this, in turn, determined the lack of security for our country, determined poverty, destitution, unemployment. It determined the lack, practically the lack of family policy, and consequently a very bad situation for many families, many children. Please note that during those times, about 30% of Polish children were at risk of poverty; currently, this number has been reduced to around 3% - said Jarosław Kaczyński on TVP Info.

21:07

Kaczyński:

8 Years Plus 2 of Such Development Reaches Around 40%, Likely Equalling France or England

- This is realistic, please consider a simple calculation. The growth rate over the last 8 years, despite two difficult crises, a very slow growth rate in countries like England, France, Italy, or Spain, but also Germany. Simply a straightforward calculation, 8 years plus 2 of such development, reaches around 40%, and this would likely lead to us equalling France or England, and further than the Italians, a few more years are needed to equal Germany - stated Jarosław Kaczyński on the TVP Info program "Gość Wiadomości".

21:10

Kaczyński:

At this moment, plans are being presented in the EU that essentially amount to states losing sovereignty, including Poland
- There is a second matter, a matter concerning our sovereignty, because at this moment, plans are being presented in the EU that essentially amount to states – but not all of them, not the strongest ones, and certainly not Germany – losing sovereignty. And Poland would also lose sovereignty. We have never agreed to this, and we will not agree to it – stated Jarosław Kaczyński on TVP Info.

21:13

Kaczyński:

Our Competitors Will Agree to the Return of Old Russian-German Relations
- Our competitors are so dependent on external factors that they will certainly agree to this. Just as they will agree to the return of old Russian-German relations. Undoubtedly, both sides, despite the war, are striving for and many other phenomena negative from our point of view. Hence the enormous importance of these elections, it is a question of the future of Poles, of the future of their well-being […]. It is a question of the future of our nation, of the future of Poles, of the history of Poland. Will we achieve, in the coming decades, because there is a chance for it, a success of the millennium, or will it be exactly the opposite – stated Jarosław Kaczyński on TVP Info.

21:41

Kaczyński:

A Great Mystery – Perhaps Not For Those Who Claim Dictatorship in Poland, As They Use Sociotechnical Tactics

- It is a great mystery, concerning perhaps not those who proclaim [that there is a dictatorship in Poland], because they simply, as always, use various sociotechnical tactics and employ language, because language is very flexible and one can express anything, or almost anything, with it. However, my concern is for those who listen to this and believe it, because in what way can there be simultaneously a dictatorship, and secondly, elections that are meant to decide everything, before which, by the way, the previous ones were also meant to decide everything, and others, from which as many as 4 types are held in Poland, also had to decide everything. In what way can a dictatorship cooperate or function, where the vast majority of media, at least a decisive majority, because once it was all of them, except for a small group, attacks the government and sometimes very brutally, very often vulgarly, when various demonstrations are constantly held, not only large marches but also smaller demonstrations, also often very vulgar, very aggressive against the government, where parliament functions normally, where a very significant part of public power is exercised by the opposition, because local governments in Poland have very significant power, and the majority of local governments are in the hands of the opposition or, in any case, formations somehow close to the opposition. How is all of this possible together and has there ever been a dictatorship of this kind in the world, or even a semi-dictatorship - stated Jarosław Kaczyński on TVP Info.
