As 300POLITYKA has learned, Jordan Bardella, the leader of France's National Rally, will be received on Thursday for a private meeting by President Karol Nawrocki.

We also understand that Jordan Bardella will meet today with Jarosław Kaczyński and, as a Member of the European Parliament, will visit FRONTEX.

Bardella will also meet with representatives of Konfederacja. A flower-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier is scheduled for 11:15 AM, with Krzysztof Bosak, Anna Bryłka, and a delegation including Jordan Bardella in attendance.

Sejm Discusses Processing of Doctor Salary Data

Thursday marks the second day of the Sejm session. The proceedings will resume at 9:00 AM. The start will feature questions on current affairs and a current information report.

At 2:30 PM, a second reading will be held for the government's draft bill on a tax on extraordinary profits from the sale of liquid fuels.

At 5:00 PM, a second reading is scheduled for the government's draft bill concerning the authorization for the Minister of Health, the National Health Fund (NFZ), and agencies to acquire and process data on medics' remuneration linked to PESEL or PWZ numbers.

At 7:30 PM, the first reading of the government's draft bill on social security for persons engaged in artistic professions will begin.

At 11:15 PM, a committee report is scheduled regarding Dariusz Korneluk's motion for the Sejm to grant consent to prosecute Zbigniew Ziobro.

Tusk in Brussels

On Thursday, Prime Minister Donald Tusk begins a two-day visit to Brussels. The head of government will participate in a European Council meeting there.

At 5:30 PM, the Prime Minister will attend a coordination meeting involving Ireland, Sweden, Estonia, Finland, Denmark, Lithuania, Latvia, Germany, and Poland.

At 6:10 PM, a meeting of EU heads of state and government with the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, is scheduled.

At 6:45 PM, a meeting of EU heads of state and government with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, is planned.

At 7:45 PM, the head of the Polish government will participate in a European Council working session.

Kosiniak-Kamysz in Brussels

Starting Thursday, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs will be in London. During the two-day visit, the head of the MFA will meet, among others, with Jonathan Powell, security advisor to Prime Minister Keir Starmer, and with representatives of Poles and the Polish diaspora.

- Here, indeed, a systemic reaction is necessary, and we have undertaken it, because the most important thing is to fill the medical staff shortages - he added.

"The Nuclear Planning Group, in which Poland participates, met, and NATO has decided to develop its nuclear deterrence capabilities. This is a response to the Russian Federation developing these capabilities," said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz at a press conference.

- We have our own bill, which we have already submitted [...] the government also once made a decision, but the president did not accept it, regarding earnings, remuneration. It is difficult to accept a situation where a doctor earning 40,000 zlotys receives a 14% raise, while at the same time a civil servant or teacher working for much less, sometimes for minimum wage or slightly above, receives a 3% raise, so I consider this unfair and unethical - said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz at a press conference, when asked about the postulate of legally limiting doctors' earnings.

- This is an issue that requires cooperation, and I would like there to be openness from the president's side to proceed judiciously - he continued.

- There was a time when healthcare earnings were too low. We were losing nurses and doctors who were leaving abroad. That time has definitively ended. Today, Poland is at the forefront, according to some statistics it is in the top five in terms of doctors' earnings, so we are certainly above average - he went on to say.

- We can make a decision here, but it must have the acceptance of the Presidential Palace - he added.

- I read Secretary Hegseth's letter regarding this potential permanent American base in Poland with great satisfaction. I am an optimist, but I didn't expect such a swift and positive reaction to our decisions to prepare Poland, to urgently prepare Poland to host a permanent base - Prime Minister Donald Tusk said in a conversation with journalists in Brussels.

- This response is not yet a final decision; Secretary Hegseth honestly says that further details and further arrangements are needed, but we are likely on a very good path to securing precisely this decision on a permanent American base - he continued.

- The potential assassin of the Russian citizen, a public critic of Putin's government, has been arrested by the Lublin Police and the ABW. "I want to emphasize very clearly that we have these three dimensions, and in all these three matters, I will be truly determined and ruthless. Firstly, the actions of the young doctor" - he continued.

"Wherever there is a violation of the law, there will be not only legal but also political consequences. It is not my job to guess who, if anyone, used this doctor's services, who broke the law, but if such facts occur, there will also be political consequences" - he went on to say.

"The third matter is systemic. The third matter, meaning to avoid this type of incident in other hospitals" - he stressed.

- I already see a wave building up to attack the medical profession, which is absurd. I also see a whole host of brilliant ideas, but most of these ideas could bring about negative effects, for example, limiting access to medical assistance - Prime Minister Donald Tusk told journalists in Brussels.

- It is very important to me that, by absolutely cooperating with doctors, with the medical community, we eliminate abuses, also so that doctors who work hard, work a lot, can earn fairly and earn a lot - he continued.

- I will not allow any decisions that lead to doctors working less, because less work from doctors will mean less access, longer queues - he went on to say.
