Bochenek Announces Morawiecki's "Very Important" Conference

- Regarding Brussels, perhaps I can also announce an important conference today by Prime Minister Morawiecki, who has important information to convey concerning EU policy. At 8:00 AM in the Chancellery of the Prime Minister, there will be Prime Minister Morawiecki's conference today, a very important one - stated Rafał Bochenek on RMF24.

07:42

Bochenek:

Czaputowicz is trying to alleviate his personal frustrations. He was dismissed; he didn't prove himself as Foreign Minister

- I will not respond to the foolish statements of Mr. Czaputowicz, who is trying to somehow alleviate his personal frustrations. He was dismissed. He didn't prove himself in that role [of Foreign Minister], we all know it perfectly well, and that's why he lost the position. Today, it's as if he's trying to alleviate his frustrations, and I don't know, perhaps on the basis of some kind of revenge, striking back, he's speaking in this way or another - stated Rafał Bochenek on RMF24.

07:46

Bochenek:

A Demobilization is Felt Within the Civic Platform Circles

- I think that Civic Platform has quite a big problem today, because I know they have a million reasons to worry when it comes to voter turnout. From what is said in the parliamentary corridors, and indeed PO activists say this, there is a problem gathering people who have stopped believing in a PO victory, which has reached, so to speak, a glass ceiling. There is a noticeable demobilization when it comes to the Civic Platform environment - stated Rafał Bochenek on RMF24.

07:48

Bochenek on the PiS Convention: A Mobilizing Moment for All of Us

- It will certainly be a mobilizing moment for all of us. We want to win these elections, all polls indicate that we are going for a third, historic victory. We are doing everything to deliver this poll result and to ensure that the actual result on October 15th turns out to be higher than the poll result - stated Rafał Bochenek on RMF24.

08:11

Schetyna on the March of a Million Hearts: It's a Path to Securing Those 10 Million Votes Trzaskowski Won in the Second Round
- This will be [the March of a Million Hearts] the largest march since '89, of that I have no doubt, and it seems to me that, even more importantly, it will have a political impact on the campaign, on these final days - said Grzegorz Schetyna in an interview with Marcin Fijołek on Polsat News' "Graffiti". - I regret that they [Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz and Szymon Hołownia] will not be there [at the march]; there will likely be their representatives. I believe this march is a way for us to march together to secure those 10 million votes that Rafał Trzaskowski had in the second round [of the presidential election] - he continued.

08:16

Schetyna:

I Don't Believe in Early Elections
- I don't believe in early elections, I don't believe that those who [participated] in such a difficult, expensive campaign would, a few weeks after entering the Sejm, raise their hands to dissolve the Sejm. There will be a search for many solutions - said Grzegorz Schetyna on Polsat News.

08:25

Morawiecki:

Tusk and Weber's Party Aims to Push Through Pact in EP Next Week, Ultimately Forcing Poland to Accept Illegal Immigrants

- Today we already know that Tusk is deceiving Poles regarding illegal immigration. He says one thing in Poland, while in Europe he agrees to a migration pact that includes the distribution and relocation of illegal immigrants among individual member states. We have it in black and white. Now we have proof - Tusk and Weber's party wants to push through a pact in the European Parliament next week which, in the final analysis, will force Poland to accept illegal immigrants. EU bureaucrats disregard Poland's security; they simply want to implement their insane plan – stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister.

08:27

Schetyna on Migrant Relocation: We Can Have a Special Position in Negotiations, Our Voice Must Be Heard
- Poland should talk [about the relocation of migrants in the EU], Poland should utilize what Polish families, Polish local governments, and ultimately the Polish government did after the outbreak of the war in Ukraine. This is a great argument for us. It is a great value, a coalition that we can build with countries that received Ukrainian refugees, with Slovakia, with Hungary, as well as with the Czech Republic, Romania, and Bulgaria. [...] We can have a special position in negotiations [...] [we should tell Brussels that] we have a different opinion on this matter, because we have experience in receiving refugees, without building refugee camps - said Grzegorz Schetyna on Polsat News. - One cannot be alone, one cannot take offense, one cannot lecture, but rather one must build such a coalition. [...] No [we should not accept a few thousand migrants from Lampedusa], because our voice must be heard; if one conducts effective foreign policy, it is in order to build Poland's position not only on this one issue - he continued.

08:28

Morawiecki:

Before the election, Tusk will say anything to gain power, but then he will do everything ordered by Brussels bureaucrats and his true masters from Berlin

- Before the election, Tusk will say anything to gain power, but then he will also do everything ordered by Brussels bureaucrats and also his true masters from Berlin, and this order is precisely clear. Warsaw and other cities in Poland are to be flooded with illegal immigrants, including those who have already made it to Europe, but also those who are just eager to get to Europe – stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister.

08:30

Morawiecki:

Election campaign is a test of credibility. Tusk is failing this test

- The election campaign is a test of credibility. And Mr. Tusk is failing this test. It is now plainly visible who wants to let illegal immigrants into Poland, who wants to subject Poles to this fate, and who defends the Polish border. This is a mockery of Poles. Tusk is lying; in Brussels, they are pushing through a pact on illegal immigration. Instead of solving the problem of illegal immigration at its source, instead of securing the EU's borders as Poland has secured its border with Belarus, European borders remain open, and the plan in the form of the migration pact is to be implemented, and Civic Platform (PO) will implement this plan – stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister (KPRM).

08:31

Schetyna:

Poland Cannot Be Seen as a Country Pursuing Anti-Ukrainian Policies
- These are unnecessary emotions [Zelensky's words and gestures towards Poland]. I don't want to lecture a country that is under aggression, fighting a war, defending its borders. I only know that it cannot be the case that Poland will be recognized as a country, due to this policy and our election campaign, that pursues anti-Ukrainian policies, because that is simply absurd after all we have done for Ukraine - said Grzegorz Schetyna in Polsat News.

08:33

Morawiecki:

This is the moment Poles must decide whether to back those who are the sole guarantee against admitting illegal immigrants

- This is the moment when Poles must decide whether to let them in, which is precisely what we are asking in the referendum, whether to back those who built the wall on the border with Belarus and are the sole guarantee against admitting illegal migrants, meaning PiS. This is also the moment for everyone to ask themselves these questions – should we truly go down the path that the MPs from PO, led by Tusk, want to prepare for us, and flood Poland with illegal immigration? We have documents for this, here in the Chancellery of the Prime Minister – stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki during a press statement.

08:40

Morawiecki:

Next Week I'm Going to the European Council Session, Where I Will Say a Resolute NO and Uphold My Veto Against Illegal Immigration

- Next week I am going to the European Council session, during which I will say a resolute NO and uphold my veto against illegal immigration. Remember, it was the PiS government that blocked illegal immigration in June 2018. Since then, this problem did not exist, unfortunately until May of this year, when Weber and Tusk once again decided to push through the plan for illegal immigration in Europe - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki during a press statement.

09:15

Petru:

Artificially Lowered Fuel Prices Will Likely Disappear in Two Weeks and Become Significantly Higher, Possibly by 1-1.5 PLN
- What Glapiński did, he lowered interest rates very sharply, and this has driven the zloty's exchange rate to unprecedented levels. Today we are seeing new records, I think we are paying 4.64 for a euro. This exchange rate strongly translates into inflation, even directly. An evident way to lower this September inflation, and to give Poles the feeling that everything is okay, is the action of Orlen, which is causing artificially lowered prices at fuel stations, which will likely disappear in two weeks. They will be significantly higher, perhaps by a zloty, perhaps by one and a half zlotys. So Poles, buy in advance, because the supplies will soon run out - said Ryszard Petru in an interview with Agata Adamek on TVN24's "Jeden na jeden".

09:16

Nowacka on the October 1st March: People Want to Feel Community, Shout Out Their Weariness of PiS, and Have Hope

- Simply put, people also want to feel community and want to collectively shout out their weariness of PiS, their fatigue with their arrogance, but also to have hope. Hope for victory, and nothing builds this sense of community like a gigantic march – stated Barbara Nowacka on the program "Jeden na jeden" on TVN24.

- Some of them, perhaps remembering the great, wonderful emotions of [the women's strike] and community, feel a slight sense of bitterness that it didn't work out. Well, this time, listen, it will work out for them. Politics is also for us [women], we have a lot of female candidates, including young girls – she added.

09:16

Nowacka:

Kaczyński's words have repeatedly insulted women; they don't want such 'old man' politics

- Kaczyński's words have repeatedly insulted women, because he said we 'hit the bottle' (...) So pregnant women in Poland can live, what a benefactor he is. It's just that women in Poland don't want this kind of 'old man' politics, simply. They are smart and aware and know what they want, even if we often differ in our views on certain matters, but young girls are simply afraid to have children – Barbara Nowacka said on TVN24.

- That is why we are also saying in our program that we will end the practice of hiding behind conscientious objection; it simply needs to be brought to the point where one goes to a doctor like one goes to a doctor, not like one goes to a prosecutor – she continued.

09:17

Nowacka on Civic Coalition's Proposals for Women: We Will Reinstate the Anti-Violence Convention and a Women's Helpline

- If they genuinely cared about the good position of women, then first of all, teachers, nurses, and ward assistants would earn well in Poland. The same would apply to female clerks, those ordinary clerks working hard in public institutions – stated Barbara Nowacka on TVN24.

- We will reinstate the anti-violence convention, training for the police, training for judges. Because it is very often necessary to raise awareness and to genuinely punish perpetrators, not just talk about how we will punish them – she continued.

- In the '100 Concrete Actions' plan, there is the full implementation [of the anti-violence convention], including a women's helpline and investments in nurseries and kindergartens. Again, there is money in the KPO (National Recovery Plan) – she added.

09:20

Müller:

We Clearly See from Yesterday's German Move and Actions in the European Parliament That Someone is Eager to Adopt the Forced Relocation Package As Quickly As Possible

Yesterday, as it turned out, the European People's Party, the party to which Civic Platform belongs, demanded that the European Parliament immediately begin the process of finalizing the forced relocation package. Consequently, the Prime Minister is reacting to this today, because we clearly see from yesterday's German move and actions in the European Parliament that someone is eager to adopt this package as quickly as possible and force European countries to accept all those individuals who are currently arriving in Lampedusa and who will be arriving in the coming months and years into other countries," stated Piotr Müller in an interview with Antoni Trzmiel on the program "Kwadrans polityczny" on TVP1.

09:22

Müller:

Tusk Appeals Not to Vote in the Referendum, Because He Wants to Reach an Agreement with Berlin and Brussels in the Future

- This is an untrue statement [that a referendum on migrants is not needed because we have accepted refugees from Ukraine], because one only needs to look at the provisions of this regulation to see that there is no automatic procedure that would exempt any country from accepting illegal immigrants, that's the first thing. The second issue is that what is being proposed by the EU institutions is intended to apply in such a way that, as I mentioned, the limit can be increased, and financial penalties too, and this means that de facto we are slaves to this mechanism, because other countries want to push it through by qualified majority, so we should have the possibility of a veto, but the EU institutions are activating a mechanism that applies a qualified majority, and that is why we need a referendum to give strong legitimacy to a 40-million-strong country, where citizens clearly do not agree to this. A completely different political force, and EU institutions cannot easily discuss something like that - stated Piotr Müller on TVP1.

- Why is Donald Tusk today appealing not to vote in the referendum, not to go to the referendum, because he knows perfectly well that if the turnout is below 50%, it will not be binding, and Donald Tusk wants to reach an agreement with Berlin, with Brussels in the future. If the referendum has over 51% turnout, he will be bound in this matter - he added.

09:22

Müller:

Germany Correctly Sees the Problem, But the Problem is They Propose Wrong Solutions

- The narrative of Gazeta Wyborcza, TVN, and other media in Poland will be constructed in such a deceitful way. The main migration route functioning in Europe today is the Balkan migration route, which is why we reinforced the Polish-Slovak and Polish-Czech borders, because illegal migrants arrive from that direction in coaches and other types of vehicles, and they often travel to Germany. Therefore, Germany sees the problem, and rightly so, but the problem is that they propose wrong solutions, because they propose distributing this problem across the entire European Union – stated Piotr Müller on TVP1.

09:23

Petru:

Obajtek is acting to the detriment of the company, risking a serious shortage of petrol at stations just before the elections
- If it's a market price, then [fuel] shouldn't run out. If it's not a market price, but Orlen's reserves are being sold off, then the question is, what has happened today that is so significant compared to, for example, the situation at the start of the war in Ukraine, that Orlen has resorted to such actions, which artificially lower the price, but only for a certain time, and this price must rebound, because Orlen is a public company and what Obajtek is doing is acting to the detriment of the company. He is violating the Commercial Code and in reality, the KNF, UOKiK, and the prosecutor's office should deal with his actions, because he is acting to the detriment of the company, with the risk that there could be a serious shortage of petrol at petrol stations in Poland just before the elections, because we already know that it is unavailable in some places - said Ryszard Petru in "Jeden na jeden" on TVN24.

09:23

Müller:

Trzaskowski backed down. He doesn't want to captain a sinking ship.
Rafał Trzaskowski has recently backed down. He doesn't want to captain a ship that might be sinking soon, because Donald Tusk would gladly share the responsibility with the mayor of the capital. However, let's also remember that Rafał Trzaskowski is not an exceptionally hardworking person, which unfortunately was evident during the presidential campaign in Poland. Perhaps his strength would suffice for two weeks. Seriously, Rafał Trzaskowski and Donald Tusk are similar individuals in terms of worldview; Rafał Trzaskowski is even more radical. However, there would be no qualitative change in this area – stated Piotr Müller on TVP1.

09:23

Müller on PSL and Poland 2050: No one will cry if they fall below the electoral threshold

- No one will cry if the PSL and Hołownia fall below the electoral threshold, I can say that much - stated Piotr Müller on TVP1.

09:36

Sasin:

NBP Reports on Current Events. We're Seeing a Clear Slowdown in Inflation, So It's Hard to Delay This Message to Citizens
Every time is equally good and every time is equally bad. The National Bank of Poland reports on events that are happening now. Indeed, we are talking about a clear slowdown in inflation, so it is difficult to wait with this message for citizens – stated Jacek Sasin at a press briefing. We are starting another day of the campaign today in Podlaskie Voivodeship, an intensive route. We are starting here, in Zambrów at the municipal market square. The next stops are Kołaki Kościelne, where there will be a meeting with the local community. In Czyżew, I will talk about investments, also in connection with the reconstruction of the Rail Baltica route. Then Wyżki, a meeting at the Volunteer Fire Department, Bielsk Podlaski, a meeting with residents as well, where we will talk about what we are doing for Podlasie, for security. Finally, Supraśl, where there will be information about our program to support historical monuments, and at the end, a large meeting in Białystok with active women from Podlasie – he added.

Orlen Responds to Petru: Group Does Not Foresee Price Policy Changes

- The ORLEN Group does not foresee any changes to its pricing policy - announced the Orlen Press Office, responding to Ryszard Petru's morning statements.

10:19

Pekao Analysts: September CPI Inflation Fell Sharply Below Forecasts to 8.2%, Core Inflation Decline Stronger Than Predicted
“September CPI inflation fell noticeably more sharply than forecast to 8.2% year-on-year (consensus: 8.5%). Month-on-month, prices decreased by 0.4%, which is the largest monthly price drop since…January 2016. Also noteworthy is the stronger-than-forecast decline in core inflation (to approximately 8.5-8.6% year-on-year)” - inform analysts from Bank Pekao S.A.

11:03

Pekao Analysts: Fifth Month in a Row Without Price Growth
Prices fell by 0.4% in September, which also marks the fifth consecutive month without price increases. This was driven by declines in the prices of food, energy carriers (higher energy consumption limits at frozen prices), and fuels. Core inflation was 0% m/m. Price reductions on frequently purchased goods significantly lower consumers' inflation expectations – wrote analysts at Bank Pekao S.A.

11:10

PKO Analysts: Inflation is Currently the Lowest Since Late 2021, and the War-Induced Price Shock is Slowly Subsiding

Inflation is currently the lowest since late 2021, and the war-induced price shock is slowly subsiding – according to PKO analysts.

11:34

Gliński:

We Have Funds for Free Admission for Seniors, Youth, and Children to National Arts Institutions and Museums
- I hope that as early as next year, because it's a technical and IT matter. A proper system for issuing free tickets needs to be in place, as it would be difficult to admit these two categories of people – we're talking about children and youth, and seniors, those receiving disability pensions and retirees – in a way that wasn't based on free tickets. It's a technical issue, because otherwise others wouldn't be able to access them – said Piotr Gliński in an interview with Jacek Prusinowski on Radio Plus's "Sedno Sprawy" (The Core of the Matter). - I don't know what the system will be yet, but the most important thing is that I literally finished budget negotiations in these weeks and I can say that we have the funds for the initial phase. We have the money for next year for free admission for seniors, youth, and children, but […] not to all cultural institutions, because some are private, some are local government-run. I'm referring to national arts institutions and national museums. We want this to be free admission for these two categories. For youth, so they can learn and benefit, and for seniors, because it's sometimes difficult for them to pay for tickets – he continued.

11:52

Petru:

My Question to Orlen – Are You Artificially Lowering Inflation with Strategic Reserves to Help PiS Win?
- Until October 15th, we can all refuel with relatively cheap gasoline at petrol stations, but afterwards, I expect a very significant increase. What's more, let's note that there are suspicions that Orlen is using strategic reserves, thereby reducing the country's security. I remind you, strategic reserves are for times of armed conflict, serious international situations, or a crisis within the country. There is no crisis today. The international situation was very difficult when Russia attacked Ukraine. I don't recall strategic reserves being used on such a scale then – Ryszard Petru said at a press conference. - I have an official question for Orlen: are you using the country's strategic reserves, which are actually intended for difficult times, to artificially lower inflation so that PiS can win. [...] Refuel in advance, because the reserves are running out, one might say. Of course, I am not encouraging Poles to bring about a situation where there is no gasoline at all at petrol stations, but let's notice, where there is information about an "outage", it's not an outage. It's a lack of gasoline at a given location – he continued. - No government, no Orlen, no one can sustain artificially low prices for too long. There is a risk of a very significant price increase after the elections, in the range of one or 1.50 PLN per liter – he added.

11:53

Gliński:

Germany wants poor Polish-Ukrainian relations because they aim to economically and politically take over Ukraine
- The argument was, the choice was this: do we have Putin at the Polish border or not? That's why the Polish government responsibly did what was necessary, and we don't have Putin at the Polish border. We have achieved our fundamental goal, so let's appreciate that - said Piotr Gliński in "Sedno sprawy" on Radio Plus. - These are not good relations, and again, I would point to Germany, which has an interest in Polish-Ukrainian relations being poor, because Germany clearly wants to take over Ukraine economically and politically, unfortunately. They have such an interest. [The Polish government is lobbying] for Polish companies to participate in the reconstruction of Ukraine. There is a special minister appointed for this, and we are fighting for it. We are fighting for our national interest, of course - he continued.

12:00

PKO Analysts: While Recovery is on the Horizon, the Path to It is More Winding Than Expected Just Months Ago

While recovery is on the horizon, the path to it is more winding than expected just a few months ago, according to PKO BP analysts.

12:05

PKO Analysts: Inflation is Currently the Lowest Since the End of 2021, and the War Price Shock is Slowly Subsiding
"There is no longer any doubt that inflation in September will be single-digit. The drop in CPI to 8.2% year-on-year (PKO and consensus: 8.5%) from 10.1% year-on-year in August reflects a wide range of disinflationary processes (food, energy, regulatory changes, slowing core inflation). Inflation is currently the lowest since the end of 2021, and the war price shock is slowly subsiding. Core inflation is also single-digit according to our estimate (8.6%)" - inform PKO BP analysts.

12:08

BGK:

Progressing Disinflation is Good News for Consumers and Beneficial for Economic Stabilization
The preliminary inflation reading for September stands at 8.2% year-on-year. This is below the consensus forecast of 8.5%. Progressing disinflation is good news for consumers and beneficial information in the context of economic stabilization, the Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego (BGK) announced.

12:09

Morawiecki:

We Want to Launch the "Friendly Estate" Program from January

- We are meeting on a pre-fabricated panel housing estate, one of the many such estates throughout Poland. I want to remind everyone here today about our program. A program we want to launch as early as January, if, of course, the voters decide so on October 15th. We want to launch the "friendly estate" program – said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in Strzegom.

12:10

Morawiecki on the 'Friendly Estate' Program: Bills Paid by Residents of Prefabricated Estates Will Be Lower, We Will Install Photovoltaic Panels on Roofs, Further Points Include Parking and Elevators
I will briefly remind you what it [the 'Friendly Estate' program] consists of, its main points. The first two concern making the bills paid by you, dear compatriots, residents of these prefabricated estates, these housing estates, lower. Bills for electricity, bills for heating. That's why photovoltaics, that's why we will utilize these roofs, which are currently unused, and photovoltaic panels will be installed there on many cooperative residential buildings, many housing estates (...) But also, ladies and gentlemen, thermomodernization – said Mateusz Morawiecki in Strzegom. Another point of this program is precisely elevators, which I mentioned. The fourth is green areas; I really want to thank good cooperators, these good housing communities, these good managers, who already take care of this – he continued. The next point will be work on building parking lots. Underground ones probably less often, because they will be very expensive, but above-ground parking spaces that will reduce the parking density in prefabricated housing estates. And two further points are the acoustic program and the last one is the program for replacing electrical and gas installations, because it is known that after several decades they are often suitable for replacement – he continued.

12:10

Morawiecki:

PiS is the best choice, even when we stumble, we apologize for mistakes
I wanted to thank once again the parliamentarians and candidates of PiS who are here with me today, because we developed this program together with them. Together with Ireneusz Zyska, but also with other candidates who are here with me today on this tour of Lower Silesia. A tour that aims to convince residents that PiS is the best choice, that even when we stumble, we apologize for mistakes, but we are doing everything in our power to ensure a better life for the residents, and the "friendly neighborhood" program also serves this purpose – stated Mateusz Morawiecki in Strzegom.

12:30

Borys:

Economy Stabilizing After a Series of Shocks, Aligning with a Soft Landing Strategy
The economy is stabilizing after a series of shocks, in line with a soft landing strategy. Inflation is strongly slowing down thanks to falling prices of food, energy, and fuel, as well as lower core inflation dynamics (around 8.5%). We have a strong labor market, a current account balance, and accelerating economic conditions – commented Paweł Borys, CEO of PFR.

13:23

Morawiecki:

Our Goal is for Salaries to Grow as Quickly as Possible

- And that's what we're aiming for, for salaries to grow as quickly as possible, in line with the labor productivity, which I've seen at a very high level here. And from this very spot, I also wanted to tell you about certain specific aspects of the development of these lands: from Sobótka in the north, the S8 road will run towards Płock, but also the S5 towards Świdnica and to Polkowice. This part of Lower Silesia, which I know perfectly well, will gain excellent communication solutions - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at the Diora-Świdnica company.

Morawiecki:

Our PO Competitors Tried to Convince Us to Fight 'Putin-Inflation' in a Way That Would Cause Skyrocketing Unemployment, Like in Their Time

- Our competitors from PO tried to convince us to fight inflation, to fight 'Putin-inflation', in a way that would cause unemployment to rise sharply, just like in their times. We did not yield to these suggestions, and today we have the lowest unemployment rate, and this morning we also received positive news about a significant drop in inflation - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at the Diora-Świdnica company.

Bosak:

No Social Benefits for Ukrainians – A Key Election Campaign Slogan We Want to Emphasize
- Today, Konfederacja is officially presenting its 5-point package for the final stage of the election campaign. The fifth list, list number 5, and Konfederacja's new five points, meaning 4 already known postulates and a fifth, quite obvious but added, which we want to strongly emphasize in the final push of the election campaign: simple and low taxes, voluntary social security contributions for entrepreneurs, housing and homes up to 30% cheaper, cash protected by the Constitution of the Republic of Poland, and no social benefits for Ukrainians – stated Krzysztof Bosak during a press conference in Wrocław. - We want to emphasize this last slogan because the relations between Kyiv and Warsaw have, I think it's fair to say, seen the masks simply fall off. Where there was a semblance of friendship, where there was a semblance of partnership, we now see a tough game, a exchange of blows, aggressive rhetoric, announcements of sanctions, announcements of tariffs, complaints to the World Trade Organization, and attacks on Polish economic interests in Brussels – he continued. - We, as Konfederacja, warned against such a situation from the very beginning. We said that we have conflicting interests, that unconditionally opening the Polish market to products manufactured to entirely different standards, without the norms required of Polish farmers, is deeply detrimental to Polish producers. We spoke about the lack of transport infrastructure for all products from Ukraine, and from the very start, we said there was no basis to grant all those with Ukrainian passports the same privileges as Polish citizens. We were the only ones brave enough to vote against special acts privileging all foreigners with Ukrainian passports. That is the correct phrasing, as it is not exclusively Ukrainians – he added. - This is a betrayal of Polish national interests. There is no reason for Polish taxpayers to finance 300+, 500+, 800+, family care capital, or even the 2% loan for everyone holding a Ukrainian passport. There is no Polish interest in this. We can discuss what kind of migration policy the Polish state should pursue, and we are in favor of such a discussion taking place […]. Here, we are talking about blurring the lines between two nations that have their own state, their own policies, and their own interests. Ukrainians do not hesitate, and Kyiv does not hesitate to pursue its economic and political interests in relation to Poles, to confront them in Brussels, in the European Union, of which it is not a member – said Bosak. - Poland must finally begin to proudly defend its interests. The next Polish Prime Minister, after Mateusz Morawiecki – who should have resigned long ago – must start doing so. The Polish President must also begin to do so, he who is constantly in some kind of slumber, unable to acknowledge that his personal friendship with Volodymyr Zelensky turned out to be a mirage, and that the Ukrainian leader simply used him – he emphasized.

14:30

Morawiecki:

No Need to Worry About KPO, Funds Will Arrive Immediately After the Elections
- On my way here, I saw these deceitful billboards put up by the president. Well, to shame him, [...] our MPs, led by Michał [Dworczyk], will show a certain difference this evening on their social media, they will show it very emphatically. Our 4 years, how much funding was allocated to Wałbrzych, and they have the audacity to insinuate here that we invest little, versus the 4 years of PO. And this will be a shame that the residents of Wałbrzych haven't seen in a long time, I think the president will hide in a mouse hole then - Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said at the Wałbrzych Coke Works "Victoria". - Because I saw KPO there – there's no need to worry about KPO. We are implementing KPO with government funds, and the entire KPO will come immediately after the elections; we are on the right track to obtain the funds. However, as we announced, there's no point waiting for this blackmail from PO, because remember, ladies and gentlemen, it was PO MPs who voted in resolutions against Poland, in effect, against Poland quickly obtaining KPO - he continued.

14:42

Morawiecki:

Liberals, and Tusk's closest friend Lewandowski personally, are responsible for the destruction of many workplaces in the 90s
- In the 1990s, there was a collapse, something worse than mere lethargy, because it was simply a great tragedy for Wałbrzych. I came to Wałbrzych very often, I saw it with my own eyes. It must be said directly who is responsible for this - liberals are responsible for this, and personally Tusk's closest friend, Mr. Lewandowski. The destruction of many workplaces at that time, not only mining ones, but also Porcelana Wałbrzych […], the years when the minister of privatization, i.e., the sell-off of everything, Mr. Lewandowski, reigned supreme - Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said at the Wałbrzych Coke Plants "Victoria".

Witek at S3 Opening: Today's Opposition Politicians Didn't Believe We'd Build This Road
This is truly a special day, because I clearly remember 2016 when we talked about the S3 and when neither the journalists we spoke with, nor particularly the politicians of today's opposition, believed that we would build this road. They especially tried to convince us then that this road only made sense if our neighbors to the south, the Czechs, also started building this road. But we set ourselves a goal. It wasn't easy at all to convince the then Minister of Infrastructure; we had to work hard together with the then minister to have this road included in the priority national investment list, but the minister was convinced, and the road was included – stated Elżbieta Witek during the opening of the S3 road in Kamienna Góra. Today, we have wonderful roads all over Poland, not just the main motorways and expressways, but also county, voivodeship, and municipal roads. Back then, the situation was completely different. There weren't so many beautiful roads then, hence the doubts. But we showed that if we set a goal for ourselves and have determined people to achieve it, we reach that goal. And today we are very happy to be at another section of the opened road, which will lead to Lubawka, and thanks to the good cooperation with the Czech side by Minister Adamczyk, we will also have a connection further south. It will take some time, but it will be worth waiting for – added the Marshal of the Sejm.

15:55

Morawiecki:

How was the construction of expressways and highways during Tusk's time? One big bankruptcy for Polish companies. Whatever they touched, those bunglers, they destroyed.
PO MPs, PO ministers from that time, from 2008-2015 in general, if I remember correctly, did not include this road on the indicative list, meaning with the intention of its construction, not to mention that they did not guarantee financing. For us, the most important roads are those that open up developmental and social opportunities for the residents of provincial, municipal, local Poland, and S3 is such a road - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki during the ceremony for the opening of the S3 expressway section from Kamienna Góra Północ junction to Lubawka junction. - Let's refresh our memory about what the construction of these expressways and highways looked like during Tusk's, PO's time? We remember – one big bankruptcy for Polish companies, Polish subcontractors, the bankruptcy of Polish companies in a gigantic investment program. Spaniards, during the previous investment program, managed to cause large, gigantic, global construction companies, Spanish ones, to grow. And during the PO era, it was like an inverse King Midas – whatever they touched, those bunglers, they simply destroyed - he continued.

Safe Elections: How to Avoid Manipulation, Explained by NASK Service

Securing websites – including for election committees, exposing disinformation, including so-called deepfakes, and providing knowledge about electoral rules and procedures. This and much more is offered by the Bezpiecznewybory.pl portal. Ahead of the parliamentary elections scheduled for October 15, 2023, Polish cybersecurity experts launched it with support from, among others, Google and Meta.

What is the Bezpiecznewybory.pl portal?

  • The Bezpiecznewybory.pl service is a publicly accessible platform for reporting cybersecurity incidents and disinformation, as well as a compendium of electoral knowledge. The portal contains current, verified information regarding elections and their security. The website was created on the initiative of NASK and with the support of: Google, Meta, and TikTok.

  • The website offers all interested parties, including election committees, free website security scans using the advanced Artemis tool, developed by the CERT Polska team operating within NASK structures.

  • Through the portal, cybersecurity incidents and disinformation can be reported to NASK and CERT Polska. It also contains, among other things, information and links to Google, Meta, and TikTok solutions and procedures for content management and the possibilities and rules of public expression.

  • The portal publishes announcements and an election calendar, presents best practices in combating online threats, and helps in recognizing manipulation techniques.

Partners of the initiative – Google, Meta, and TikTok – have also engaged in the educational and informational activities and the development of the bezpiecznewybory.pl service.

According to research financed by Google and conducted in September 2022 by Ipsos and the Central European Digital Media Observatory (CEDMO), both in the entire region and in Poland specifically, among adults (18-65 years old), **as many as 29 percent of respondents feel strongly affected by disinformation in the media**, while 57% feel moderately affected, and only 11% feel slightly affected.

Why was the Bezpiecznewybory.pl service created?
The intention is to limit disinformation, prevent fake news, and counteract threats and pressures that may arise in connection with the ongoing hybrid war. Representatives of all election committees who care about the transparency of the election campaign and the security of the most important event in Poland's political calendar this year can benefit from the service's capabilities.

Main objectives of the Bezpiecznewybory.pl service:

  • incident reporting;

  • disinformation exposure;

  • website scanning with the Artemis tool;

  • cooperation with global online platforms;

  • promotion of good online practices;

  • electoral knowledge compendium;

Trzaskowski:

We Cordially Invite Everyone to the March of a Million Hearts, Happening This Sunday
I would like to start, ladies and gentlemen, with an invitation and end with an invitation. Specifically, we cordially invite everyone to the March of a Million Hearts, which is happening this Sunday. So please remember. There is less and less time to prepare. We want to show full mobilization. We want to show faith in victory. Let us be together on this day in Warsaw, I warmly invite you – said Rafał Trzaskowski at a press conference in Warsaw.

17:35

Trzaskowski:

These Elections Are Fundamentally Important If We Want Poland to Be Like Warsaw – Smiling, Tolerant, European, and For Everyone

- Dear friends, as I said, we are in the final stretch. These last two weeks of the campaign will be even more intense than before. I am very happy that the Civic Coalition (KO) list in Warsaw is incredibly strong, incredibly diverse. Of course, it is opened by Donald Tusk, who is on tour right now, convincing people to vote for KO. But our list in Warsaw is truly exceptionally strong, diverse. Dear friends, more women than men, people with very different experiences. We have experienced female and male MPs who have served Warsaw, I am very glad they are on this list – said Rafał Trzaskowski in Warsaw.

- The well-being of Warsaw is, above all, on all of our hearts as we stand here. So, dear friends, I encourage you to vote, vote in two weeks. These elections are fundamentally important if we want Poland to be like Warsaw – smiling, tolerant, European, and for everyone. Because we are building Warsaw for everyone, and we would also like Poland to be for everyone. Vote for KO – he added.

17:36

Trzaskowski on Non-Partisan Local Officials: They Primarily Cooperate with PiS. Real Local Officials are on KO Lists
You only need to look at who these politicians, who are on the so-called Non-Partisan Local Officials lists, have cooperated with for the most part. You also only need to look, because there were such press reports and these accounts clearly confirmed that the opinion that they are people who primarily cooperate with PiS is confirmed – stated Rafał Trzaskowski in Warsaw. If you are looking for real local officials who prioritize the good of local government, the good of their cities, towns, and villages, then vote for KO, because on every KO list in every constituency, there are local officials – he continued.

18:03

Morawiecki:

In 2014, They Wanted to Get Rid of the Name "Polska Miedź". What Would KGHM Be Called Then? "Deutsches Kupfer", or Something "Tusk-like"?

- These are the facts, you can find them in various notes, conversations that took place at that time, to ensure that KGHM Polska Miedź would remain in Polish hands. Speaking of Polish hands, the name of the concern, which is associated with Lubin, is beautiful Polish copper, KGHM Polska Miedź, but perhaps not all our compatriots know that Civic Platform wanted to cut off this suffix, "Polska Miedź", from the KGHM name. Do you know about this? In 2014, they wanted to get rid of this name "Polska Miedź". I don't know what KGHM would be called then? "Deutsches Kupfer", or something "Tusk-like" - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in Lubin.

18:04

Morawiecki:

We're Planning a Major Investment of Up to PLN 1 Billion in Lubin - a New Hospital

- I also want to mention that we are planning a major investment here in Lubin, amounting to even PLN 1 billion, a new hospital that will serve the residents of Lubin and all surrounding villages and towns. And these are powerful investments. The agglomeration railway costing PLN 2.5 billion, the DK94 road costing PLN 2.5 billion. This hospital investment, PLN 1 billion. These are truly significant investments brought to your region by PiS parliamentarians - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in Lubin.

18:11

Morawiecki:

PO is consciously promoting the destruction of the Polish language, the 'eight-star' pedagogy

- I want to warn my political competitors and all fellow countrymen about what PO is doing. They are consciously promoting the destruction of the Polish language, the 'eight-star' pedagogy. You know this 'eight-star' pedagogy of theirs. They are causing our MPs to be attacked, and in Zgierz, Włocławek, Warsaw, Legionowo, the windows of PiS election offices, MPs', and senators' offices are being smashed. Social peace is being destroyed, and this vile, vulgar language is even spilling over into public opinion - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in Lubin.

18:12

Morawiecki:

Never in these 'pseudoliberals'' years has unemployment been this low

- Today in Poland, we have the largest, historically high number of jobs; over 17 million people are employed in the labor market. Never in the years of these liberals, pseudoliberals, or scandal-liberals has there been such a level. Unemployment was high, and today we have the lowest unemployment rate in the history of the Republic of Poland – stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in Lubin.

18:18

Morawiecki:

I Left a Very Well-Paid Banking Job for Poland, While Tusk Left Poland for a Very Well-Paid Job in Brussels

- I left a very well-paid banking job for Poland, while Tusk left Poland for a very well-paid job in Brussels, for German interests. The difference between me and Tusk is something that hurts them greatly: I earned my wealth before entering politics, while Tusk earned his wealth through politics and by serving German interests – stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in Lubin.

18:27

Morawiecki:

We Say No to the EU's Climate Madness

- In Poland, unlike the madness coming from Warsaw salons and some Berlin or Brussels circles, normalcy will prevail. I want life to be normal, the normal life of ordinary people, not forcing them, for example, to eat insects instead of meat. Do you remember what Trzaskowski and his group of various cities came up with? We say no to forcing us to give up combustion engine cars. We want to drive cars that are affordable for an ordinary Polish family. We say no to the European Union's climate madness - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in Lubin.

- We say no to blocking nuclear energy development, and we effectively say no. Yesterday, an agreement was signed in my presence with the world's leading nuclear power plant construction companies. American companies that strengthen our security, so we say no to blocking nuclear energy. We say no to forcing us to close the Turów power plant and the Turów mine (...) We have effectively defended Turów from closure, and what did Trzaskowski say, what did Civic Platform say? Remember - he continued.

- We say no to the ideologization of Polish schools. Do you want, dear compatriots, for some left-wing organizations to come and teach our children, I won't even say what, to influence your children? We do not want the ideologization of Polish schools. We do not want immigrants. Tusk, Weber, Trzaskowski, we are holding this referendum so that you cannot escape this pillory, so that you cannot escape this crucial question for the Polish nation, so crucial for all Poles - he added.

18:35

Morawiecki:

The Biggest Threat to Inflation is Civic Platform

- The biggest threat to inflation is Civic Platform. If they come to power, they will force energy and fuel companies to do what they are talking about now. They are complaining about prices being too low, which means they will want to raise those prices. What will happen to inflation if they, Civic Platform, raise prices? Inflation will immediately go up - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in Lubin.

18:44

Morawiecki:

"Green Border" Film is a Repugnant Libel on the Polish Uniform

- The film "Green Border" is a repugnant libel on the Polish uniform. How many comments, how much outrage do we see online, in the media, from ordinary people in reference to this film. You've certainly heard about it. See what attacks they resort to. One of the online platforms, one of the online portals, which is also promoting this libel, this repugnant portrayal of Poles, they are making us out to be stupid murderers, primitives through this film; they want to make us into such a nation, because they know that a nation like that, full of complexes, intimidated, is easier to rule, such a nation is easier to send for asparagus to Berlin - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in Lubin.

18:46

Morawiecki:

PO Aims to Close Schengen

- The Civic Platform (PO) aims to close Schengen, and why? Because if they let in illegal migrants, as they called for in '15, where will these illegal immigrants live for the most part? In Germany. They will start crossing to Germany in the tens of thousands. Not like now, when they cross from Slovakia or the Czech Republic into Poland and we implement more scrupulous controls, but they will go to Germany in the hundreds of thousands, and then Germany will indeed close its Schengen borders. The Civic Platform is the greatest threat to the freedom of movement of people within the European Union, because if they bring this about, that will be the reaction from the German side - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in Lubin.

Tusk on Meetings with Voters: Faith in Victory is Evident
- This week I visited five voivodeships [...] everywhere I met people who genuinely felt something akin to happiness that they are together again [...] and that they stand on the right side, that is also characteristic. [...] I finish after an hour and a half, the hall is packed, it's truly a crowd, it's hot, and people are angry when I say we have to finish, so the desire for a serious conversation is clearly visible, and also... what is important to me, faith that victory is possible - Donald Tusk said on TVN24's "Fakty po Faktach". - Unlike at PiS meetings, opponents also appear, and I must say that these are very interesting moments of these meetings, because I see in some people's eyes that something is starting to not add up for them, meaning what they see and hear on TVP Info and what they see and hear at such meetings, not only from me, but from people [...] it makes people think - he continued.

19:54

Tusk:

I hear at every meeting that Poles are obsessed with a good future for the young, that they are very afraid
- I hear this at every meeting, from almost every person, that Poles today are actually obsessed with a good future for the youngest and for the young, that they are very afraid, I understand this, I am not afraid, because I am on the front lines right now, so I am expelling fear, but I understand people's fears - said Donald Tusk on TVN24.

20:01

Tusk:

We don't want to ban, force anyone into anything, we want to open up space and provide more opportunities

- We don't want to ban, we don't want to force anyone into anything, we want to open up space and provide more opportunities, including for having children. This was incredibly striking – for entrepreneurs, it's an extremely sensitive group, because they have been extremely wronged too, ethically, insulted almost every day by PiS, because small entrepreneurs, the self-employed, medium-sized, larger companies, they hear allusions almost every day that they are crooks, that they have to pay higher taxes, and for them, each of these specific promises, meaning ZUS will pay sickness benefit from day 1, the tax-free allowance, or a lower tax, one month free of contributions, which is something like a holiday for entrepreneurial people – these resonate incredibly deeply – stated Donald Tusk in "Fakty po faktach" on TVN24.

20:04

Tusk:

Kaczyński and PiS's Recent Decisions Form a Logical Chain Leading to Poland's Exit from the EU
Some decisions, particularly in recent weeks, by Kaczyński and PiS, are forming a very logical chain, the culmination of which will be Poland's withdrawal from the EU. So, these elections are truly also about this matter, about Poland's presence in the EU - stated Donald Tusk on TVN24's "Fakty po faktach" (Facts After Facts).

20:07

Tusk:

Kaczyński Has Led to Polish Taxpayers Funding Germans, French, and Italians Today
- PiS blocked the KPO, these funds are not in Poland, and other funds are threatened due to the violation of European law and PiS's stupid war with Brussels, so all European money, to which we contribute, is threatened. There is no exaggeration in this statement – Kaczyński has led to Polish taxpayers funding Germans, French, and Italians today, because they have taken these funds, they are spending them, and we have only contributed to it – said Donald Tusk on TVN24's "Fakty po Faktach".

20:25

Tusk:

If PiS Continues to Govern, in a Year We Could Be in the Worst Geopolitical Situation Since 1989
- Let's imagine a situation, we are a step away from it, and the elections on October 15th are also about this. Let's imagine a situation where eurosceptics and more pro-Russian politicians win in Washington, PiS continues its war with Germany, France, Brussels, the entire European Union, and Putin continues [the war in Ukraine], because this war will not end tomorrow or the day after. We will be without European funds, isolated, and we also have strained relations with the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Lithuania. The Swedish commissioner was aghast when she was the first to see the problem with visa trade and this migration scandal. Listen, in a year's time, if PiS continues to govern, we could find ourselves in the truly worst geopolitical situation since 1989 - said Donald Tusk in "Fakty po Faktach" on TVN24.

20:27

Tusk:

Ukraine is Absolutely Our Key Partner, but Sometimes You Need to Be Assertive

- Ukraine is an absolutely key partner for us. Good relations and support for Ukraine, Ukraine's independence, Ukraine's presence in the defensive and European community. This is perhaps actually an existential matter for us, to be or not to be. But at the same time, Ukraine is a large, ambitious country, and sometimes you need to be assertive. Only Morawiecki and Kaczyński were assertively the opposite – said Donald Tusk on TVN24.

20:30

BGK President: To Guarantee Our Energy Security, Renewable Energy Sources Must Be Complemented by Zero-Emission Sources

- To guarantee our energy security, renewable energy sources must be complemented by zero-emission sources - stated BGK President Beata Daszyńska-Muzyczka in Paris during a congress jointly organized by the European Central Bank, the European Investment Bank, and the International Energy Agency.

20:32

Tusk on the October 1st March: It will be one of the biggest events in Polish politics since regaining independence

- This is not a march of any single party. I extended an open invitation to everyone, primarily to people, to various communities, but everyone has the right to choose. The leaders of TD (Civic Platform) made a different choice regarding their activity on that day. I respect that, I have no problem with it – stated Donald Tusk on TVN24.

- This will be one of the largest demonstrations in recent years in Europe. Without a doubt, it will be one of the biggest events in Polish politics since regaining independence. All people of good will will benefit from this, the entire opposition will benefit. I am convinced of this, otherwise I wouldn't be doing it. I am an experienced politician. Do you think, or can anyone suspect me of seeking ideas that would expose the entire opposition to defeat? That's out of the question – he added.

20:33

Tusk:

Morawiecki's lies aim to cover up the obvious fact – PiS flooded Poland and Europe with hundreds of thousands of migrants, making money from it
- Morawiecki's lies are not just a political peculiarity. These lies are a method of conducting politics that is dangerous for all of us, and these lies are meant to cover up this obvious fact – PiS has flooded Poland and Europe with hundreds of thousands of migrants, and has even made money from it – said Donald Tusk on TVN24's 'Fakty po Faktach'.

Over One Hundred Cybersecurity Leaders Convene in Poland for Annual NASK-Organized Meeting

PARTNER CONTENT

Over one hundred cybersecurity leaders in Poland gathered for an annual meeting organized by NASK and the CISO #Poland Foundation, fostering deeper cooperation at sectoral, national, and international levels. The event, held on September 28, 2023, was also attended by Janusz Cieszyński, Minister of Digital Affairs.

The annual meeting of cybersecurity leaders took place at the headquarters of the NASK National Research Institute and focused on the most current and crucial cybersecurity issues in Poland and globally. The participants' discussions revolved around topics related to state security, defense, energy, transport, pharmaceuticals, and finance. Many of the threads explored were a continuation of conversations held during the Economic Forum in Karpacz.

Challenges related to countering the current level of cyber threats require efficient cooperation between government structures and the community of cybersecurity leaders. Therefore, the Ministry of Digital Affairs strongly supports initiatives aimed at increasing digital security, both on the business and administration sides – emphasized Minister Janusz Cieszyński – We also cannot forget about new EU regulations, such as NIS2 and DORA. The necessity of their implementation in 2024 will affect tens of thousands of companies in Poland.

The main objective of the conference was to create a platform for exchanging knowledge and experiences among individuals managing information security in both the public and business spheres.

NASK collaborates with numerous organizations across various domains, remaining – despite celebrating its 30th anniversary this year – a modern institution effectively safeguarding the level of cybersecurity in Poland. It is worth noting that in recent years, the implementation of our activities has become easier due to a four-fold increase in financial support from the state. – said Adam Marczyński, Director for Cybersecurity and Innovation at NASK – As NASK, we also aim to create a new space for meetings and integration of the cybersecurity community, which will also house laboratories and training rooms where we can train all interested parties in cybersecurity. We are modeling this on institutions in other countries where representatives from government centers and institutions work side-by-side with individuals representing the private sector. This is our dream – and it appears the current situation is conducive to realizing it.

In addition to the Minister of Digital Affairs, speakers at the conference included Łukasz Wojewoda, Director of the Cybersecurity Department at the Ministry of Digital Affairs; Włodzimierz Owczarczyk, Member of the Management Board of ZUS; Adam Marczyński, Director for Cybersecurity and Innovation at NASK; Roman Łożyński, Director for IT Systems Operation and Security at the Centre of e-Health; and Tim Conway, Technical Director at the SANS Institute.

We are pleased that the September event brought together leading experts, practitioners, and cybersecurity leaders from various sectors, not only from Poland but also from abroad – said Andrzej Bartosiewicz, President of CISO #Poland and the event's originator – Thanks to them, the conference became a venue for inspiring presentations, panel discussions, and workshops, focusing on the most important issues related to protecting the digital assets of the state and businesses, and most importantly, on current challenges concerning hybrid threats in Poland and worldwide.

During the event, cooperation agreements were also signed between non-governmental organizations, improving collaboration to enhance national security. The consortium for cybersecurity thus formed comprises: CISO #Poland, the Association of Communication Engineers and Technicians of the Republic of Poland, #CyberMadeInPoland, and the Association of Data Protection Practitioners.
