- This should be a turning point because it's the most abominable, most dangerous of PiS scandals. We've grown somewhat accustomed to all these PiS scandals, as there's nearly daily theft, corruption, or cronyism, but this scandal is the most repulsive because we were faced with such a disgraceful narrative from PiS towards migrants, and it turned out they let almost everyone into Poland in a wide stream. It's most dangerous because we don't know whom they let in – stated Marcin Kierwiński in an interview with Grzegorz Kępka on Polsat News's "Graffiti".

– These figures were provided to us by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. 250,000 visas, invitations for people from African and Asian countries. The vast majority of these countries are Muslim countries. The Border Guard forgets that such a gentleman, who can buy [a visa] for five thousand dollars… This is a table and I have no problem showing this data. A Polish visa could be bought for five thousand dollars. Anyone could buy it – stated Marcin Kierwiński in Polsat News' "Graffiti".

– If anyone says this data is false, let them sue me. I challenge Mr. Bochenek, Mr. Fogel, Mr. Rau. I will repeat once more: 250,000 visas, invitations for people from Asian, African countries, without any checks, within a corrupt procedure – he continued.

- If today someone says that this is Wawrzyk's affair, then I say with full responsibility: no, Kaczyński, Morawiecki, Rau, Ziobro knew about this procedure. Everyone knew - stated Marcin Kierwiński on Polsat News' "Graffiti" program.

- A draft regulation is prepared in case a Union-level extension measure is not introduced. It will be signed late afternoon or evening. - European institutions argue that the stable functioning of the common market should involve the same principles in all member states, and this is a valid argument under normal conditions. Today, we are dealing with special conditions, conditions in which the market for grain and related agricultural products in Poland has been destabilized. Therefore, we have the right to expect extraordinary measures. This is also foreseen by the treaties, that extraordinary measures are taken in extraordinary situations - stated Szymon Szynkowski vel Sęk in "Sygnały dnia" on PR1.

- The Polish government is guided first and foremost by the interest of Polish farmers and the protection of that interest. Therefore, bearing this priority in mind, we expect European institutions to react to crisis situations – and this crisis situation regarding the market for these agricultural products has not yet been averted – with extraordinary measures. Moreover, having the experience from spring, when European institutions delayed taking such measures, and only the introduction of a national ban mobilized European institutions to act and introduce solutions at the European level. Today, we are prepared to counteract further destabilization - he added.

- The discussion about the migration pact is still ongoing. For now, we have managed to build a blocking minority regarding some legal acts of the migration pact, but the incredible pressure and the drive of European institutions and a number of states to implement these solutions mean that the more arguments we have at the negotiation table, the greater the chance we will halt these solutions. Of course, it is important what government rules after the autumn elections, because if a government that has clearly declared its opposition on this matter rules, the situation is entirely different than if a government rules where there are politicians who see no problem in such matters. However, a clear referendum result with high turnout is an argument that is difficult to respond to by saying it can be disregarded. It is hard to find a stronger argument in direct democracy than the will of the people, expressed in a referendum, and that is why it is so important - stated Szymon Szynkowski vel Sęk in "Sygnały dnia" on PR1.

- Politicians or journalists who urge people not to participate in this referendum are essentially assuming that the citizens' vote expressed in the referendum might hinder these political forces from making decisions, because I deeply hope that after the elections, they will have no chance to make any decisions. Therefore, promoting decisions that are inconsistent with citizens' expectations is definitely easier to discuss the mandatory migrant relocation mechanism without a strong referendum result if one is in favour of such a mechanism, than to discuss or promote such mechanisms against the will of the citizens. I have a feeling that these parties and these journalists fear the citizens' vote, and that is already very bad if any democratic party fears the citizens' vote. This is where a red flag should go up for the citizens - he added.

- The matter, to my knowledge, concerns, although my knowledge here is rather media-driven, as I don't have insight into the services' activities in this regard, several hundred cases, not several hundred thousand as the opposition attempts to promote. This is an incomparable scale: several hundred versus several hundred thousand. These are entirely different scales of problems, firstly. Secondly, the appropriate services are dealing with it. Thirdly, resignations. The deputy minister potentially responsible for these irregularities was immediately dismissed, or doubts could be raised around his actions, so swift action is being implemented here. Even though it's a heated political campaign period, nobody hesitates to fulfill their duties. The services are acting, which best shows that the Polish state functions even when doubts arise, including doubts concerning a politician from one's own camp – stated Szymon Szynkowski vel Sęk in "Sygnały dnia" on PR1.

- The image of the PiS state's pathology, a criminal organization building its access to state structures, in this case, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Those who profited from this process, those who organized smuggling or trade, enabled the issuance of Schengen visas by Polish consuls. Certainly, perpetrators of this illegal process were involved, as evidenced by the abrupt resignation of Deputy Minister Wawrzyk, but this is the tip of the iceberg. The point is to see this structure. After all, some individuals have already been arrested, some have been charged, including close associates of the minister or deputy minister - stated Grzegorz Schetyna in a conversation with Jacek Prusinowski on Radio Plus's "Sedno sprawy" (The Core of the Matter).

- The case is known and has been discussed for many months, but I have the impression that PiS is doing everything to reach the election date, to avoid revealing it, not to open it up before the elections, but it concerns hundreds of thousands of cases. Interventions regarding specific names or visas issued. The system that has been built is broken, because people who simply break the law have influence over it - he added.

- If companies are chosen in a fair tender, if they are responsible for managing the visa issuance procedure and are screened and monitored, then everything is fine. If, as is happening now, an external virus is introduced, if politicians or individuals linked to criminal groups start influencing these decisions, then pathology occurs - stated Grzegorz Schetyna in Radio Plus's "Sedno sprawy" (The Core of the Matter).

- This is absurd, because the system, these criminal activities that took place, were specifically linked to associates of Minister Wawrzyk, who gave orders to consuls, but this did not only concern external companies but also directly to the consuls general. This is a pathological system. That means, it reached external companies, but also consuls. That is why it needs to be thoroughly investigated - he added.

- The state cannot be partisan, unlike the state run by PiS. This is a pathology, it has led to a pathology. So today we are saying that this pathology must end and we must start thinking together about how to build migration policy. We will not talk about our plans that we will implement after winning the elections today; we will not talk about it today because today we are talking about what is a serious problem, the pathology of PiS. This is certainly a topic for a serious discussion at the European Council level - stated Grzegorz Schetyna in "Sedno sprawy" on Radio Plus.

- Today, I am publicly asking Minister Kamiński if it is true that special services of NATO member states informed Polish special services that Polish visas were issued to citizens from African and Asian countries who are on the list of particularly dangerous individuals. Does the Ministry of Interior and Administration (MSWiA) have knowledge that such individuals may have entered Poland or may have entered the Schengen area – stated Marcin Kierwiński during a press conference.

- This information is necessary and crucial for Polish security. We have information that MSWiA was informed about this, that services managed by important PiS politicians were informed about this. PiS politicians constantly talk about Polish security, they constantly talk about how bravely they defend this security, yet it turns out that people associated with PiS are trading this security, for example, at consulates or embassies. That famous 5,000 dollars for a Polish visa is a symbol of how much Polish security is being sold off during the PiS era – he added.

- In connection with ongoing findings regarding irregularities in the visa issuance process, the Minister of Foreign Affairs has decided the following - the ministry informed in a statement.

1. Dismiss from his position and terminate the employment contract of the Director of the Legal and Compliance Management Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Jakub Osajda;

2. Conduct an extraordinary control and audit in the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and all consular missions of the Republic of Poland;

3. Terminate agreements with all outsourcing companies to which, since 2011, tasks related to receiving visa applications have been entrusted, following the closure of 31 missions by decision of the then head of the ministry, Radosław Sikorski.

Today, I wanted to talk about a matter that can only be described as the Civic Platform's smuggling scandal. On September 7th, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBŚP) and the Border Guard detained 48-year-old Ewa M. in Tarnowskie Góry. The prosecution then charged her with leading a criminal group that smuggled people across the border with Belarus. Previously, five other individuals had been arrested in connection with this case: two Indian nationals, two Pakistani nationals, and one Tajik national. Four out of these five individuals are currently in custody. The prosecution alleges that these individuals, along with Ewa M., who led the group, charged each smuggled person 5,000 euros for transportation to Western Europe. If the route was longer, heading further west or to the United Kingdom, they demanded up to 10,000 euros per person," stated Maciej Wąsik during a press conference.

"This would have been one of many cases that could have been passed over, as our services are quite effective in this area. We apprehend many smugglers and couriers attempting to smuggle people into Western Europe. However, this would have been the case if not for the fact that when the prosecution filed a motion for arrest, and the arrest was granted, bail was submitted to the court by public figures. The bail pertained to Ewa M., and two Civic Platform MPs, Tomasz Olichwer and Tomasz Aniśko, vouched for this individual (...). Other widely known public figures also submitted bail, including the former Deputy Commissioner for Human Rights, Hanna Machińska, the Deputy Director of the Powszechny Theatre in Warsaw, Tomasz Sztarbowski, and the Director of the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw, Joanna Mytkowska," he continued.

"I want to emphasize that Ewa M. led a group involved in smuggling. This operation had been ongoing for at least a year and a half, and she also engaged in other types of activities. For instance, she organized fundraising drives on popular platforms used for collecting donations for refugees. In this way, she deceived people, asking for donations that were, in fact, for criminal activities," he added.

- Certain questions arise for the Civic Platform MPs who vouched for Ewa M. Do they know her personally? What were their motives? Do they cooperate with this woman? What is the scope of this cooperation? Or perhaps if they don't know her, why did they provide such a guarantee, who asked them to do it? Who persuaded them to do it? Or maybe the situation is that they know this woman and that's partly why they voted against the barrier on the border, because these MPs voted against the barrier on the border. The barrier on the border hinders the actions of smugglers, and these MPs voted against the barrier on the border and are vouching for a smuggler who led a group, who was detained by Polish services, who cooperated with several foreigners in order to transport people from the Belarusian border to other Western European countries, taking enormous sums of money for it - stated Maciej Wąsik during a press conference.

- I would like to ask what Donald Tusk's reaction will be to these MPs, what will he do? Will he remove them from the electoral lists? Did the voters of these MPs give them a mandate to provide guarantees for individuals who lead smuggling groups? I leave these questions in the public domain. I hope that Civic Platform will respond to this soon - he added.

- We are dealing with a major smuggling scandal involving PO. This is because for several months now, prominent politicians and intellectuals supporting PO have been spreading false information about what is happening on the Polish-Belarusian border. Influential creators, politicians, and activists, while verbally assaulting the Polish uniform, are saying that people should be let in, and that we shouldn't build a barrier, because that's how they voted in the Polish Sejm - said Sebastian Kaleta at a press conference.

- It turns out that an activist from these movements is suspected by the court and arrested for organizing a criminal group that facilitated the smuggling of illegal migrants. This is a well-known activist within the opposition circles, which is why it is not difficult to find information about her public activities. What do you think, in the upcoming referendum, what did Ms. Ewa M. encourage her friends and other Poles to do? She wrote on social media, four times, "YES" - he continued.

- Ladies and gentlemen, the stance of PO is known to us, as PO politicians today are evading a clear answer because they know that Poles do not support the compulsory relocation of illegal migrants in Poland. However, due to the ongoing parliamentary campaign, they are not expressing a clear position on this matter, but in the European Parliament, where decisions are made, there are votes on these issues, and Platforma [PO] politicians, the opposition, vote for the compulsory relocation of illegal migrants – said Rafał Bochenek at a press conference.

- If, God forbid, PO with Donald Tusk took power here, within a few weeks, within a few months, they could find themselves here, in our country. We will certainly not allow this, and PiS is a guarantor that the policy of compulsory relocation of illegal migrants will not be implemented in Poland – he added.

For NATO and the Ministry of National Defence (MON) recruitment, the Polish Development Fund S.A. (PFR) acted as the national recruitment point. Polish innovators submitted the highest number of applications to the program among European Union countries.

The DIANA accelerator aims to create conditions within the NATO alliance for both the development of breakthrough technologies and their adaptation for defense and security applications. DIANA will support innovators by enabling them quick access to mentors, a network of trusted investors, and specialists in tenders and military procurement. On the other hand, it will also assist partner countries in rapidly acquiring the most promising innovative solutions from participants in the DIANA accelerator.

Poland with the Most Applications in the EU

On June 7, PFR and MON signed an agreement to jointly promote and inform about the accelerator. Entities registered in Poland submitted the most solutions among candidates from EU countries, ranking fourth globally, behind the USA, Canada, and the United Kingdom.



The largest number of applications came from the USA – 215 applications. This was followed by 211 from Canada and 182 from the United Kingdom. Poland submitted 77 applications, followed by Turkey (75), Italy (60), Norway (43), Germany (41), Finland (38), the Netherlands (37), Spain (36), and Estonia (35). Other Alliance countries submitted fewer than 30 applications. In total, over 1,200 entities applied for the first round of the DIANA accelerator. The recruitment results will be announced on October 7.

- As a rule, the PiS government divides into two main groups. One group has two left hands when it comes to work and a complete lack of competence. The other, more competent half, earns big money on the side from decisions that are fine for them, but not alright for any of you. They are not in our interest (...) One could say that PiS, in a certain segment, greatly cares for those who work for the state. We will not listen to Berlin, we will not listen to von der Leyen, Tusk, or Weber. We will do it because it is in the interest of the Polish farmer. And this is precisely the fundamental difference between us and Civic Platform, who go to Brussels on their knees, begging like dogs for some kind of approval, and on top of that, they get slapped in the face – said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in Ełk.

- I said this a few days ago, either you extend the import ban, or we will do it ourselves, and we will do it ourselves, starting tonight at midnight. That's why it's worth looking at who you vote for, it's worth asking yourself a fundamental question - do you want a liberal, thieving Poland, or do you want a Poland, a government, that certainly makes mistakes sometimes, but look at what we have managed to achieve. Today I was at a meeting with local government officials in your voivodeship, in Szczytno, and there I heard from several dozen local government officials, some of whom may be here in the hall too, that never in the history of this voivodeship have there been such investments from the central budget, from the budget of the Polish state, as during the PiS government - Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said in Ełk.

- 268 people detected by Polish services, not any foreign ones. This shows that we are acting, the prosecutor's office is acting, we are filing charges, submitting requests for arrest, people are being arrested, the case is under the court's control. This shows that the Polish state is functioning precisely in this area, which is critical for our security, because we care about security - stated Zbigniew Ziobro in an interview with Danuta Holecka on TVP Info's "Gość Wiadomości".

- I will say more - soon I will reveal true corruption scandals, far larger in scale, from the period of PO's rule, because we have found queries of files and cases swept under the rug, related precisely to the visa procedure. Back then, this procedure differed from what we are doing in that the state was sweeping cases under the rug. Decision-makers were not held accountable, including political accountability - he continued.

- In connection with the incorrect decision of the EC not to extend the embargo on grain from UA, in accordance with the orders of Prime Minister Morawiecki and the entire Council of Ministers, I have signed a national regulation maintaining the embargo. W związku z błędną decyzją KE o nieprzedłużeniu embarga na zboże z UA, zgodnie z poleceniem @MorawieckiM i całej Rady Ministrów podpisałem rozporządzenie krajowe utrzymujące embargo.
Rozporządzenie jest bezterminowe i wejdzie w życie po publikacji o północy 16.09.2023.
