- Health is paramount. That is why we have significantly increased healthcare funding, introduced digital prescriptions, and improved access to healthcare. But health also means good nutrition during treatment. I am no stranger to the daily realities of hospitals, especially district ones. Patients are often dissatisfied with the quality of meals served there. We must change this, I know this problem. In recent years, we have introduced a pilot program for good nutrition for patients. It yielded excellent results - announced Katarzyna Sójka in a recording published on social media.

- Therefore, we are introducing our new program 'Good Meal' for all patients in Polish hospitals. This means not only access to tasty, healthy diets but also the opportunity for dietary advice. Hospitals will receive additional funds for this, and the National Health Fund (NFZ) will ensure that the quality of nutrition is significantly improved by seeking patient feedback. A high standard of nutrition is a chance for a faster recovery. Only the PiS government will realize this ambitious project - informed the Health Minister.

- Well, formally yes, but we will be able to expect results from the commission's actions in a few months at the earliest. When the commission gathers the appropriate materials, it will analyze them. From the moment of its appointment, the commission itself is empowered to make decisions regarding summoning anyone or collecting materials. From that moment on, it is a commission that acts independently - said Piotr Müller in "Sygnały dnia" on PR1.

– For some, it's indeed decided, because let's recall that it was PO that raised the retirement age, so Donald Tusk's real plan is to do the same thing again, which is why he doesn't want to be bound by a referendum on this matter – said Piotr Müller on PR1's "Signals of the Day".

– He is not changing his views. He is simply hiding his true views and his true plan, and that is why we want to protect Poles from these kinds of ideas, hence the issue of a referendum – he added.

- It will not happen before the elections, because it is a plan by some politicians, political parties in Europe, to influence Polish elections. However, we are pre-financing these projects within the KPO framework, and programs like Maluch+ or some agricultural programs are financed from this, so it is happening, and I am convinced that after the elections, this issue will inevitably be resolved - said Piotr Müller in "Sygnały dnia" PR1.

- Yes, this is another point in our program that we are presenting as PiS. For many years, we have been improving the quality of healthcare, but we are well aware that there are areas that still require improvement. One such area, frequently pointed out by patients, even anecdotally often, is the quality of meals in hospitals - said Piotr Müller in "Sygnały dnia" on PR1.

- We currently want to announce one point daily to highlight those we consider important. And on Saturday, at a program conference, we will present the remaining program points, including those that have been included in the program, as it is broader. However, those we are highlighting now, we want to particularly emphasize, to also anchor public debate around these topics - he continued.

• The financial situation of Local Government Units (LGUs) continues to be influenced by changes introduced in 2022 by the Polish Deal, which resulted in a decline in PIT revenues for the central budget and, consequently, a decrease in LGU income from their share in this tax. This was particularly felt by municipalities where PIT tax holds significant importance in their own revenue structure.
• Total LGU sector revenues in H1 2023 grew more slowly than expenditures (0.8% and 6.9% year-on-year, respectively), leading to a significant (66% year-on-year) reduction in the budget surplus to PLN 4.9 billion. Investments in municipalities rebounded strongly – in H1 2023, they increased by 55.9% year-on-year, and for the entirety of 2023, they are expected to be almost twice as large as in 2022, partly due to numerous government programs.
• And although LGUs closed H1 2023 with a surplus, balancing budgets in 2023 may be difficult for many units, especially urban ones. Despite a positive operating result for the entire LGU sector (PLN 14.9 billion), as many as 18% of LGUs (i.e., 519 units) reported a current deficit in H1 2023, which is significantly more than in H1 2022 and in 2022 (3%). By the end of 2023, the share of LGUs with a negative result will likely be smaller, aided by additional funds of PLN 14.3 billion to be transferred to LGUs in 2023. However, for many LGUs, these may prove insufficient.
• We wrote more about the current problems of LGUs and short-term prospects in the 2022 Annual Report. The recently published draft budget for 2024 assumes an increase in LGU revenues from PIT and CIT and subsidies by 27% in 2024. Simultaneously, work is underway on a reform of LGU finances, which is intended to stabilize the sector's income on a multi-year basis.

- There will be no coalition with PiS, and there will be no coalition with Civic Platform. We are going in to be the third way, the true third way, not the so-called third way – stated Przemysław Wipler in an interview with Robert Mazurek on RMF FM.

And if he had certain, let's call them, minor sins or blunders in the past, today many people perceive him differently. - We will not raise the retirement age for anyone currently working under the existing pension system. We know how to count. Likely, like everyone of my generation and my children's generation, we will have to work effectively until we die, because considering... This is not a promise, it's a statement of fact given the situation where we have a huge number of pensioners, and dramatically few children are born in Poland, the number of economically active people who must work for pensioners will dramatically... - stated Przemysław Wipler on RMF FM.

- After the election, the opposition will disintegrate. Hołownia will disappear, Civic Platform will split, the left will part ways with the angry young people. - I deeply regret that today we are discussing Silesia through the lens of MP Morawiecki, who has nothing to do with Silesia except for one thing: unfulfilled promises. And when we here in Silesia hear about Mr. Morawiecki's latest ideas, we can, as always, refer you to Jaworzno to take a look at those million electric cars. Of course, you won't find them, but you will find 300 hectares of felled forest for a factory that, knowing how things go, will likely never be built – said Borys Budka at a press conference in Rybnik.

- This is a question we've been asking ourselves for quite some time. In essence, it's a different version of the question: when will the European Commission stop breaking the law and unlawfully withhold money due to Poles and Poland for purely political reasons. I would like this to happen as soon as possible, but as you can see, we are dealing with a partner on the other side who does not adhere to agreements, who does not respect the law – stated Radosław Fogiel in the program “Rozmowa Dnia” on Radio Wrocław.

- Of course [that the European Commission is breaking the law]. Poland has fulfilled all the requirements regarding the Recovery Fund regulation and should receive these funds. Moreover, recently it was confirmed that the matter is political, that there are no substantive grounds, no rule of law, no statutory issues involved. Donald Tusk himself confirmed this, stating that if he were to win the election, the KPO would be unblocked the next day – he continued.

- Mr. Editor, if one tries to convince Poles that these are complicated issues, that these are processes requiring some changes, that this is a matter of some irregularity. And then the leader of the opposition party says that one day is enough, that basically all it takes is for him to win the election. This is very clear; the KPO is solely for the purpose of supporting the opposition in Poland – he emphasized.

- From yesterday, we have been presenting very concrete, very tangible solutions that will impact the lives of many people and will be included in our program. We will present the program itself on September 9th, and we will be presenting individual proposals in this way for several days. Yesterday, we presented the 'Friendly Estate' program, aimed at all residents of large panel buildings that were constructed at least 30 years ago. They deserve living conditions and comfort comparable to apartments in modern housing estates, and hence this proposal - stated Radosław Fogiel in the program "Rozmowa Dnia" on Radio Wrocław.

- Today, another concrete issue, one that has long been a thorn in the side of many patients and has primarily been the responsibility of hospitals, something not all of them have been able to resolve. There were those that had [money], and there were those that did not. Let's remember that 90%, probably more, of hospitals in Poland are managed by local governments, and some local governments manage them better, while others manage them worse. Today, we want a high standard of hospital meals to be available to everyone, and hence this proposal - he added.

- The PiS government is proposing a very good program, "Good Meal," a program that is intended to ensure the quality of meals for patients, because I know district hospitals and it is in these hospitals that I meet patients who are not always satisfied with the meals they receive. These meals do not always meet patients' expectations, they are not always tasty. Therefore, today, based on the pilot program that took place in 2019, which concluded with very good results and offers great hope, a program that was then called "Mom's Diet," it was intended for pregnant women and mothers, 115 hospitals benefited from this program, and over 200,000 women, Polish women, participated in this program - stated Katarzyna Sójka at a press briefing.

- Everyone knows their place in the queue. This is an improvement of my position compared to the previous election, and I am very happy about it, not attaching particular importance to the number on the list. In the previous election I was third, now I am second, so there is no thesis. This is absolutely untrue. The decision regarding [election list] placement is a much broader puzzle, truly aimed at optimizing and increasing the election result - stated Waldemar Buda in an interview with Beata Lubecka on Radio Zet.

- If such ideas appeared in the public sphere, I expressed my opinions and my stance categorically and clearly. Later, we had a series of talks with our coalition partners from the Polish People's Party (PSL). We considered what is important to us and what is important to them. They stated that for them, it would be a strengthening of their lists within this coalition. We stated that we want Ryszard Petru on our lists, and that's how it sometimes is in coalitions: you have to reach certain compromises, agree to things that may not always be easy, in order to achieve a common goal, which is to stop PiS and Konfederacja - stated Szymon Hołownia in an interview with Anna Gielewska on the program “Popołudniowa Rozmowa” on RMF FM.

- One more thing in all of this, because there are certain limits. Between those two points, when we as Polska 2050 clearly said that there would be no such moves, and when we agreed to our coalition partner making such a move, I also had a conversation with MP Dziambor to clarify his views on women's safety and the Constitutional Tribunal's ruling. By joining Koalicja Polska, as he did, it is the PSL that takes responsibility for him and his decisions. He agreed with all the values of Trzecia Droga, he is in favor of resolving the issue of the permissibility of abortion through a referendum. He considers the Constitutional Tribunal's ruling to be inappropriate, to put it mildly, and in colloquial terms, a catastrophe - he added.

- I last spoke [with Donald Tusk] during the Senate Pact meeting. That was the last time we saw each other in that composition. Today, I don't expect such meetings [with the opposition to defeat PiS] because each of us is immersed in the process of preparing our respective parties, our formations, for the elections (...) As for whether there will be any events or conferences, I have the impression that there was plenty of time for that over the last 2 years. We proposed a conference on the future of Poland, many such events – stated Szymon Hołownia in the program “Popołudniowa Rozmowa” on RMF FM.

- I wouldn't [demolish the border wall], but I would very precisely examine its effectiveness, because if we hear that several thousand or tens of thousands of people get through this wall and the wonderfully protected border by Minister Błaszczak to Germany annually, then I wonder why billions were spent. From the very beginning, I said that a wall alone is not enough, because if you build a 6-meter wall, Lukashenka will buy a 7-meter ladder - stated Szymon Hołownia in the program “Popołudniowa Rozmowa” on RMF FM.

- I can say what the end goal [for changes in Poland] is, but I won't show the way because they will mine it. Just like they did with the prosecution service. You can change the Prosecutor General, and even separate the Minister of Justice from the Prosecutor General, but the replacement of the National Prosecutor requires the president's consent, and such places can be mined, and they themselves are mining them by granting new competencies to the president, through various legislative moves they make in a panic before the elections. - The Civic Platform once raised this retirement age. Fortunately, we won the elections in 2015 and reversed a very bad decision by the PO-PSL government for Poles. However, Poles are worried today that someday, in the future, someone who takes power will want to return to this. We want to settle this matter once and for all - stated Jacek Sasin in an interview with Edyta Lewandowska on TVP Info's "Gość Wiadomości".

- We do not want a return to what it was, to those pathologies, to the destruction of businesses, to depriving Poland of the wealth that was built over generations. That is why we also want to ask about this in the referendum, and we will encourage Poles to settle this matter once and for all - stated Jacek Sasin on TVP Info's "Gość Wiadomości".

- This is what PO politicians, and primarily their experts, are talking about. They have moments of sincerity, talking about wanting to sell not only all strategic companies, but as Professor Grabowski, who cooperates with PO, said, they want to sell roads, bridges, viaducts, airports, and ports too. So, a total sell-off. Poland is to be a country stripped of all property, and thus a country stripped of sovereignty - stated Jacek Sasin on TVP Info's "Gość Wiadomości".

- They have this sell-off gene, the liberals. They've been doing it from the start. Janusz Lewandowski is still active there, the minister of ownership transformations responsible, along with Balcerowicz, for the predatory sell-off of Polish companies, for these pathologies - stated Jacek Sasin on TVP Info's "Gość Wiadomości".

- PO has repeatedly shown that it is a party, a political force in Poland, which serves foreign interests. The more foreign the interests, the less they respect Poland and Poles. They believe that one must constantly curry favor with foreign powers. This is a consequence of what the late Professor Bartoszewski once said, that Poland is like an ugly, dowry-less maiden ready for marriage. This is precisely how they think of Poland – stated Jacek Sasin on TVP Info's "Gość Wiadomości".

- Donald Tusk is unable to answer this because he would have to admit that this money was eaten up, frittered away, or, one could say, squandered during his rule. Donald Tusk and his team were like a drunkard selling off the furniture from his house, taking out the television, the mixer, everything they could sell to a pawn shop or somewhere at the market, and all the money they took, they drank away - stated Jacek Sasin on TVP Info's "Gość Wiadomości".
