At 4:45 AM on Westerplatte, President Andrzej Duda will take part in a ceremony marking the 84th anniversary of the outbreak of World War II. Earlier, at 4:15 AM, he will lay flowers at the Cemetery of Soldiers of the Polish Army on Westerplatte.

At 9:00 AM in Legnica, a press conference will be held with the participation of Civic Platform parliamentary club MPs Zofia Czernow, Robert Kropiwnicki, and Piotr Borys. Topic: Registration of the Civic Platform list for the Sejm in district No. 1.

- "Let's Protect Children, Let's Support Parents" is a citizen's bill and the fact that the Senate is just convening does not negate it. It will be processed during the first term of the Sejm, as it is not subject to the discontinuation of Sejm proceedings. I do not rule out that another Sejm session will be convened. If not, it will be passed at the beginning of November and sent to the President. - We are fighting for the best possible budget for the Ministry of Education and Science (MEiN). We have already achieved great success in negotiations with the Ministry of Finance. - Well, he probably has no chances now, because the lists are closed. He had an offer, as far as I remember, to the Senate. He didn't decide on it. - During this time [of PiS rule], Ryszard Petru was doing business, and recently appeared as someone fighting against Konfederacja. It's very good that he is fighting Konfederacja, it is a real threat, these are people whose stance on women and the EU Poles should know about - he continued.

- I have no doubt that Giertych must be kept away from education. On other matters, he has stated quite clearly that he will be bound by club discipline, and where we vote as a club on issues related to, for example, abortion or civil partnerships, there will be discipline, and it will apply to him - stated Katarzyna Lubnauer on RMF FM.

- Donald Tusk can no longer be referred to as a serious politician. But I'll say this, if someone tries to claim that the fact that the Świętokrzyskie Mountains are in the constituency from which President Jarosław Kaczyński is running has some political implications, then I apologize. Donald Tusk once made a certain gesture at a meeting towards a woman who did not vote for Civic Platform, and I think this is a good place to quote it in reference to Donald Tusk. This is some poor trolling at an elementary school level – said Radosław Fogiel in the program "Sedno sprawy" on Radio Plus.

- I don't know what Donald Tusk's goal is in the election, and frankly, I'm not particularly interested. PiS's goal is to win this election, not to boost someone's ego that they will win against someone. Not to inflate someone's ego that this is a clash between specific individuals – said Radosław Fogiel in the program "Sedno sprawy" on Radio Plus.

- In PiS's case, the stakes are serious. The stakes are Poland's future. The stakes are whether we can make our decisions sovereignly, or for example, whether a group will take power that will gladly dissolve us into some pan-European project, instead of defending the border, will send pizza to those whom Lukashenka is trying to put here – he continued.

- Today, once again, in connection with this terrible anniversary of Germany unleashing World War, we are appealing to the German state for the payment of due reparations to Poland and Poles - said Piotr Gliński at a press conference.

- The United Right government has presented a report on war losses. This report is the result of our five-year systematic work, which began in the previous term. This is how it's done. It is done professionally, it is done based on the work of scientists. This report, moreover, has one characteristic feature: it is minimalist in its demands. This is everything that can be justified - the Minister of Culture continued.

- In total, the losses and Polish claims regarding reparations from the German state amount to, as you may recall, 6 trillion 220 billion zlotys - he continued.

A session of the upper house has been convened for the beginning of the month – on September 6-7, the Senate will consider several bills, to which – purely theoretically – the Sejm might wish to respond, although this would require convening an additional session.

Among the agenda items is an amendment to the Education Law – this was a civic project titled "Let's Protect Children." Another item is the bill on the principles of the State Treasury providing guarantees for the liabilities of the National Energy Security Agency.

Senators will also discuss another civic proposal – an amendment to the Act on Lotteries, which, according to its justification, concerns "strengthening the obligation of public authorities to care for forests owned by the State Treasury."

Also on the agenda is the final report from the work of the Extraordinary Commission for the clarification of cases of illegal surveillance, their impact on the electoral process in the Republic of Poland, and the reform of special services. 

- This is why we are going to the elections, so that tradition, national identity, our history, and values always have a dignified place in Poland's history, always occupy the most beautiful possible position. Only the PSL, Third Way, no one else will ensure this. Patriotism is for everyone, patriotism is our duty, our choice, it is our great strength. We must not be deprived of patriotism, we must not be deprived of the white and red flag, the right to this history and tradition, and no political party can appropriate it - stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz during the Third Way's provincial convention in Rzeszów.

- We are also going to the elections to clearly and unequivocally state – we have had enough of the destructive dispute within families, neighborhoods, our communes, districts, voivodeships, across the entire homeland. A dispute that destroys, that consumes. The grave illness of hatred, which has unfortunately affected us across the entire Republic of Poland, must be healed and cured. Poland, torn in half, needs to be stitched back together very precisely with surgical thread, and here too, there are experts who will do it – stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz during the regional convention of Trzecia Droga (Third Way) in Rzeszów.

- Here, in the Rzeszów region, in the constituency covering the city of Rzeszów and the districts of the Subcarpathian Voivodeship, Adam Dziedzic will run, and he will lead this list. He is a local government official, he is a product of the Rural Youth Association, meaning he knows the roots that originate from here. He is a good manager. The prodigal Poland, which today is unfortunately driven by the mistakes of the rulers, must be crossed out and replaced by a thrifty Poland, which such good managers will represent – stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz during the Third Way's provincial convention in Rzeszów.

- It is not a foregone conclusion that Donald Tusk will become prime minister of an opposition government. That's how it is. If there is a coalition government and there are disputes between the major groupings, it very often happens that a smaller grouping gets the office of prime minister. This happens in various countries and it has happened in Poland – stated Władysław Teofil Bartoszewski in a conversation with Marcin Fijołek on Polsat News' "Gość Wydarzeń".
