Borys:

Loan installments to 'fall significantly' in 2024

The head of PFR wrote on Twitter that disinflation is faster than predicted, which means interest rate cuts this year are "almost certain." How much could they be? Paweł Borys stated that the market is pricing in a decrease in interest rates to 5.5% within 6 months and around 4.5% by the end of 2024, which will also be aided by the strong position of the Polish zloty. "In 2024, loan installments will fall significantly," emphasized the PFR president.

Hennig-Kloska:

As Poland 2050, We Will Fight for Our Coalition with the PSL Until the End
– Not even a divorce petition has been filed, so we are constructively discussing a coalition, because we, as Poland 2050, will fight for this coalition until the end, as we are a reliable partner and we keep our signed agreements – said Paulina Hennig-Kloska in an interview on Polsat News's "Graffiti".

Hennig-Kloska:

We Don't Know Who Forms Agrounia. When Going to the Front, You Need to Know Your Brothers and Sisters, So as Not to End Up With Mejzas and Kukizases
– Mr. Kołodziejczak received information directly from our party that we do not see the possibility of cooperation at this stage as close as forming a coalition. For two reasons – Paulina Hennig-Kloska said in „Graffiti” Polsat News. – Firstly, we really don't know who forms Agrounia today, apart from Mr. Kołodziejczak, I know absolutely no one else from this group. And we are going to war. When you go to the front, you need to know your brothers and sisters, so as not to end up with Mejzas and Kukizases, who will switch sides and support the United Right government – she continued. – Secondly, and extremely importantly: I operate on the assumption that a coalition must be a community of values and ideas, it cannot be a collection of random people. We developed these common values with PSL from the outset; it was a list of shared matters […]. I don't even know the program of Agrounia as a political group – the vice-chairwoman of Poland 2050 continued.

BGK Partners with COI, MC, and PSP to Enable Local Tax Payments in mObywatel 2.0 App

A joint project by Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego (BGK), the Central IT Center (COI), the Ministry of Digital Affairs (MC), and Polski Standard Płatności (the operator of the BLIK system) will allow users to pay local taxes within the mObywatel 2.0 application. Bydgoszcz is the first city whose residents can pay property tax in this way as of July 28th.

BGK is confirming its expertise in payment processing. In this new project, the bank will handle settlements between residents and local government units. Paying property tax via BLIK in the mObywatel 2.0 application is fast, convenient, and secure. As a Polish development bank, BGK, through its Public Finance program, undertakes actions that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of settlements in the public sector. This is another project where the bank serves as a settlement agent. Previously, in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance and Polski Standard Płatności, it enabled, among other things, payments for annual PIT taxes (PIT-28, PIT-36, PIT-37, PIT-38, PIT-39) on the e-Tax Office service and the Your e-PIT service (PIT-28, PIT-36, PIT-37, PIT-38). This project also received the award for "Most Important Cashless Initiative" at the eDukaty industry competition, held during the Cashless Congress event.

"Managing public finances is part of BGK's mission, and settling payments in the public sector aligns with this mission. We are pleased that by leveraging our expertise, we can meet the needs of local governments. We are confident that the ability to pay local taxes through the mObywatel 2.0 application will be met with great user approval. This is another project where, together with our partners, we are co-creating an effective transaction settlement system in the public sector," says Przemysław Zasieczny, Director of the Public Finance program at Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego.

The functionality in the mObywatel 2.0 application is planned to be made available to residents of further cities in the coming weeks. PARTNERSHIP CONTENT

Tusk Won't Admit in Campaign That His Real Post-Election Plan is Balcerowicz, Palikot, and Petru's

– Tusk is trying to pretend he's better than PiS. Apparently, he wanted faster disbursement of 800plus and criticized us for... bringing in immigrants. What won't the Civic Platform chairman say during the campaign? Well, he won't say that his real post-election plan is the plan of Balcerowicz, Palikot, and Petru – Jacek Sasin wrote on Twitter.

Trzaskowski Calls for Resignations of Ministers Involved in Nationalist March
"In recent years, months, the question has often been raised whether Poland is still a democratic state. And yes, it is still democratic thanks to the strength of civil society, thanks to all of you, thanks to your commitment. For this, we must be thankful every time," stated Rafał Trzaskowski at a press conference. "Unfortunately, just yesterday, at the very moment I was standing with the insurgents at the cemetery in Wola, where over 100,000 civilians perished, I received information that Deputy Prime Minister Gliński intends to appoint a government plenipotentiary who will organize the next commemorations of the Warsaw Uprising for its 80th anniversary. It is unprecedented to take this from the hands of the insurgents themselves and from the hands of local government. These commemorations have always been organized by the capital city of Warsaw, but above all by the insurgents. To take away the commemorations, for the government to organize them, to try to politicize another issue that is meant to unite us. An absolute scandal," he added. "After all, it was Deputy Prime Minister Gliński who was pumping money into nationalists. I call for the resignation of all those ministers, such as Ozdoba, Kaleta, Kowalski, who participated in that nationalist march yesterday, shouting nationalist slogans. Be aware, we must not confuse patriotism with nationalism. That is why these days are so important, because the insurgents tell us about this throughout, they bear witness to this for us," he continued.

Kierwiński:

These elections will be about ensuring Błaszczak no longer threatens Poland's security
In every democratic country, elections belong to the voters, elections belong to society. By guarding the elections, and you guarding the elections, we are ensuring that no one steals the elections from Poles, that no one takes the elections away from Poles, that no one distorts the electoral verdict – stated Marcin Kierwiński at a press conference. – These elections will not be fair anyway. We all see what Orlen is up to, what state-owned companies are up to. We all see what TVP is up to. They are, in fact, breaking the equality of these elections daily; they broke it in the presidential elections and are still breaking it now – he added. – These elections will be precisely about ensuring that someone like Błaszczak no longer threatens Poland's security. So that every Pole on Polish soil can feel safe, so that every Pole knows that the government acts in the interest of each of us, not in the interest of only a select few who manipulate the media message solely to increase their electoral chances – he continued.

Jabłoński:

Poland Desires Good Relations with Ukraine and Continues Support
Today, a meeting took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the chargé d'affaires of the Ukrainian Embassy, who was invited in an urgent manner due to recent statements made by representatives of the Ukrainian authorities. In our assessment, some of these statements were inappropriate and unnecessary, unnecessarily charged with negative emotions, and expressed a position that, in our view, simply harms good relations – stated Paweł Jabłoński during a press conference. – Poland desires good relations with Ukraine, and these relations, as always in international relations, must be based on the principle of reciprocity, above all on mutual respect and understanding for national interests. Poland wants to continue supporting Ukraine. We support Ukraine precisely because we perceive this Russian aggression against Ukraine as a threat to Poland's national interest as well. We support Ukraine to the extent and in the scope that is in Poland's interest. This is entirely obvious; every state is guided by its own interests, and at the same time, we expect understanding from the Ukrainian side for our needs, for our perspective – he continued. – Sometimes, it is more difficult for us to reach an agreement on certain matters, this is no secret. We are primarily talking recently about the issue of grain, and we are also talking about other issues such as the still unaddressed crime of genocide and the issue of exhuming victims of the crime committed 80 years ago in Volhynia. We will continue to discuss these matters, we will continue in this spirit of partnership, in the spirit of mutual understanding, in honest, sometimes difficult, sometimes tough conversations, but with mutual respect, we will continue. We hope that despite the fact that very inappropriate words have sometimes been spoken publicly, as has happened recently from some representatives of Ukraine, Polish-Ukrainian relations will remain good. We will work very hard on this and hope for a similar approach from Ukraine. Further talks will also take place, and in fact, they are ongoing – he added.

Poland Lodges Strong Protest Against Belarus's Actions Undermining Security

– During this meeting, Poland conveyed a strong protest against Belarus's actions, which undermine security and which we also perceive as provocative. We are referring here to the exercises that concluded with a violation of Polish airspace, but also to the continuation of activities directly at the border, both through the organization of mass groups of illegal immigrants intended to breach the border and enter Polish territory. This has been organized from start to finish by Belarusian services together with Russian services, as well as the movement of paramilitary or military groups towards the Polish border. Groups of Wagner fighters, people who are trained and have experience in committing the most horrific crimes […]. We expect they may resort to various provocations – stated Paweł Jabłoński during a press conference.

– I would also like to emphasize one thing: we are speaking about this openly because such threats must be discussed openly, also so that our society is prepared for the fact that, unfortunately, this threat exists and Poland must undertake preventive measures – he continued.

– Regarding the chargé d'affaires of the Embassy of Belarus, we have heard nothing, no explanations here. The Belarusian side is not particularly eager here to provide any explanations or account for themselves. Unfortunately, their approach towards us has not been friendly for some time now – he added.

Morawiecki Announces Approximately PLN 50 Million in Additional Funds for Ruda Śląska
We previously presented to the President, you could say through him, via his office, to all local government officials in Poland, how we intend to provide additional support to local governments, especially for their day-to-day operations and current expenses. On one hand, local governments – as all local government officials know very well – have investments in roads, hospitals, schools, fire stations, nurseries, and various road safety equipment. However, current expenses are also very important for local government officials. That is why, following recent changes, we have now made new agreements in the budget act, and in the case of Ruda Śląska, as I previously told the President, it amounts to approximately PLN 50 million in additional funds for current operations – stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in Ruda Śląska. – Today, we discussed in detail everything concerning the development of cities as beautiful as Ruda Śląska. Poland consists of one Warsaw and tens, hundreds of cities like Ruda Śląska, medium-sized, even smaller, and quite small ones. The way Poland developed until recently, a few years ago, was that most funds were shifted and invested in large cities. Let's leave that aside, I don't want to go into details about why it was like that, but if someone looks honestly at public and local government finances, they will see a huge shift of funds, a redistribution, as economists call it, precisely towards cities like Ruda Śląska – he continued.

13:19

Morawiecki:

Ask Local Government Officials from PO, Independent Committees, or PSL if They've Ever Had Such Investment Funds as Now
These are not the first pre-election programs. Local government officials know this very well too – that for several years now, substantial government programs, ones that were previously unimaginable, have been implemented. Please ask local government officials from PO or from independent committees, like here, or from PSL, if they have ever had such funds for investments as they do now, and for me, this is simultaneously the quintessence of our government's policy, the PiS government's policy, because above all, I strive for cities like Ruda Śląska to have greater development opportunities – stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in Ruda Śląska.

Tusk Defends Changes to OFE in Online Video, Ironizes about the Kaczynskis: They Occupied All Seats at Magdalenka

In the latest video published on Donald Tusk's YouTube channel, the Civic Platform leader answers questions about himself typed into the Google search engine. Several political questions were also posed:

Was Tusk at Magdalenka? No, all the seats there were occupied, primarily by the Kaczynski brothers.

Is Tusk in the Sejm? I was and probably will be, but at the moment, fortunately, I am not.

Will Tusk win the elections? Yes!

What has Tusk done for Poland? Listen, I am a modest man, but I would have to talk about it for a few hours. Do you know what I am most proud of? When I was Prime Minister, we built very good relations with all the important global players. I kept Poland at the very top during the financial crisis, in terms of economic growth, we were the best in Europe, and with zero inflation. Nobody knew what high prices were back then, when I was Prime Minister.

What does Tusk promise? I am not a magician, and I want to treat people very seriously. I won't promise you everything. I promise serious things, but above all, I promise that Poland will be normal again, people will feel safe, and they will respect each other.

How much did Tusk take from OFE? I saved the money that was in OFE. You would have lost out if it had stayed there. All your money went to your individual ZUS accounts, and everyone can check. It was truly a very good decision.
