- Today, a meeting took place with representatives of the Supreme Medical Council, also in the presence of President Jankowski. The entire leadership of the Ministry of Health was present at this meeting, including directors responsible for legislative processes concerning, among other things, issues related to the medical profession, as well as those concerning proposed changes that will limit earnings derived from the public system, i.e., from funds we allocate from the National Health Fund (NFZ) - stated Jolanta Sobierańska-Grenda at a press briefing.

- I consider this meeting a continuation of our dialogue, which we have been conducting for 11 months. Nevertheless, it is certainly a new beginning because Mr. President has a new term, and today I can emphasize with great satisfaction that the meeting was indeed constructive; we discussed specifics - she continued.

- We need to seek understanding. History is difficult, the Germans and French reached an agreement, and we also have no other choice in this matter. We must do it on our own terms, clearly stating Polish interests, but Poland's interest is an independent Ukraine - stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty in a conversation with journalists in the Sejm.

- De-escalation of emotions is a good direction. At the same time, taking care of Polish interests and, above all, taking care of Polish interests, and I appeal to everyone once again - Poland's interest is that the eastern border is a border with Ukraine, not with Russia - he continued.

- We have also outlined further cooperation; a team will be established, headed by Minister Maciejewski, and this team will deal with both the Act on Chambers and the Act on the Medical Profession - stated Jolanta Sobierańska-Grenda at a press briefing.

- I think that today we no longer have doubts that changes are necessary. I have announced this and I absolutely do not change my mind - she continued.

"It appears that Cezary Tomczyk played a key role in persuading the Government to transfer Patriot missile defense equipment to Ukraine. And all of this in secret from Poles, and at a time when Prime Minister Tusk was warning Poles about an attack from Russia. Is this treason or just stupidity?"

We should do everything to make Ukraine an independent, free country, because in Ukraine's independence, in Ukraine's freedom, we also see the security of our nations and our states. And this is a very important matter for us - stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty during a press briefing with the President of the Hungarian National Assembly.

- We are also keeping our fingers crossed for Ukraine's accession to the European Union, but naturally on reasonable terms, fulfilling all obligations towards countries and the procedure for joining the European Union. We, as the Polish side, absolutely understand the care for the Hungarian minority residing in Ukraine, but we are also pleased, as the Polish side, that thanks to the decision of the new Hungarian government, the possibility of Ukraine's accession has practically been established and is possible right now - he continued.

- This entire process could be accelerated, and this is a very important matter for us. Madam President accepted the invitation for next May. We decided that a meeting of the parliaments, heads of parliaments of the European Union plus Great Britain plus Ukraine, regardless of the current emotions between Poland and Ukraine concerning historical policy, strengthens the eastern flank of the European Union, and the eastern flank includes Hungary, Slovakia, Poland, the Baltic states, and Scandinavian countries. This is in the interest of our nations and our states - emphasized the Marshal of the Sejm.

"I believe that the relations between the Polish government, and also the Polish and Hungarian parliaments, are very important for us and that excellent relations must be rebuilt immediately. On the Polish side, we are ready to take any steps from the Polish parliament to rebuild these relations, as both sides have envisioned," stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty during a press briefing with the President of the Hungarian National Assembly.

"We discussed the cooperation of the Polish-Hungarian group. We discussed the cooperation of foreign affairs committees. Today, there will also be a meeting with Mr. Minister Kowal, with the head of the foreign affairs committee. This is a very important matter for us. We discussed the Visegrád Group," he continued.

"The Visegrád Group strengthens our position in the European Union. We both recognized that the European Union is a very important element for both countries and that the order is as follows: first, the interests of each of our countries, because that is normal, then the interests of the European Union, and relations with NATO countries, because this is a matter of security for both Hungary and Poland," he added.

"This is in the interest of our nations and it is an important matter. We will gladly meet at the Visegrád Group convened by Slovakia. Because, ladies and gentlemen, the Visegrád Group accounts for 10% of the entire European Union's influence. And this is the eastern flank, which we, as Hungary, as Poland, as Poland and as Hungary, want to strengthen very strongly," emphasized the Marshal of the Sejm.

- First and foremost, I thank the employees and trade unionists from the Inowrocław salt mine, Solino, who, since March 15th, have seen not only the great danger of 1,500 people losing their jobs [...] but also a huge threat to the security of the Polish state. This is because the Inowrocław salt mines, owned by Orlen [...], are also a matter of state security. Seeing all this, they have been on a hunger strike since March 15th, which today will also be joined by MEP and former Orlen CEO Daniel Obajtek - said Przemysław Czarnek at a press conference.

- When Daniel Obajtek managed Orlen, and Law and Justice held the reins of government, this mine extracted up to 7 times more brine than it extracts today - he continued.

- Furthermore, companies privatized in 2014 [...] are expected, according to all predictions, to be sold off to a German owner, a German concern, a German company that is to take over firms without which the future operations of the Solino mine are jeopardized - he further stated.

- This is a picture of misery and despair from Orlen, which does not care about the strategic interests of the Polish state, does not care about acquiring brine from here, but instead seeks goods, as we hear, also from Turkey - he added.

- The unity of the alliance was absolutely confirmed. The loyalty of allies to each other was absolutely confirmed. Poland was highlighted at this summit like never before - stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz on TVP Info.

- Since the end of the Cold War, and in fact since the end of World War II, we have never been in such a dangerous situation, such a dangerous time, which is why for our government, security is an absolute priority - stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz on TVP Info.

- Never in Poland's history, in a single year, have there been so many investments in Polish security. What we managed to do at the end of May, the contracts we signed together with Minister Sobkowiak for the SAFE program, for Polish security and the development of Polish companies, are just a symbol, a very clear one, but in addition to that, something unprecedented in Europe has happened - from the KPO funds, we transformed 23 billion to build a security and defence fund. The first such fund in Europe, the first time Europe is investing so broadly in armaments, in security, in independence, in deterring the Russian Federation and all potential enemies - he continued.

- The Security and Defence Fund is also being established for this purpose. It is divided into two parts: 16 billion will be allocated for investments, especially municipal ones. These will be loan forms, partly amortizable, for those who need this support the most, and 7 billion goes to the company Chrobry S.A. - emphasized the Deputy Prime Minister.

- Military aid is constantly flowing through our infrastructure, our airports, our border. If the Ukrainian side does not wish Poland, firstly, to help them in any way, and secondly, to be of assistance in their integration [with the European Union] process, then let them say they do not wish Poland to help them. In that case, indeed, neither the government, nor the president, nor anyone from Poland will simply lift a finger on this matter - said Marcin Przydacz in the "Morning Interview" on RMF FM.

- We are looking at this through a broader prism, of a certain national maturity and diplomatic maturity. They are fighting Russia, Russia is a threat. That is why we helped, not only out of sympathy, although out of sympathy in the sense that if a mother with a child flees Ukraine in 2022, I am convinced that many Poles helped these Ukrainians out of a sense of moral duty and sympathy - he continued.

- However, if Mr. Budanov does not appreciate in any way what Poland has done for Ukraine, then fine, we will draw the appropriate lessons and consequences from this for the future - he stated.

- I think the Ukrainian side must have 100% conviction and certainty that all of Europe after World War II agreed that war criminals from the WWII era would not be glorified. As a rule, neither the Germans, nor the Croats, nor other nations do this when it comes to their controversial historical leaders, and simply European ideas today are based on values other than the chauvinistic values represented by the OUN-UPA - said Marcin Przydacz in the "Morning Conversation" on RMF FM.

- I think these negotiations [Ukraine's accession to the EU] will proceed slowly, yes slowly, but they will of course continue. We will certainly be very scrupulously observing every step when it comes to Brussels and Kyiv - he stated.

- We said this directly: you cannot enter Europe with chauvinist ideology, plain and simple. And Ukrainians are trying to do it - he indicated.

- The President also clearly indicated that the issue of the approach to OUN-UPA is non-negotiable. In this sense, Poland will not change its approach, and Ukraine must be aware that whenever it glorifies the criminals of the OUN-UPA insignia, Poland will react, and each time it will cause a deterioration in relations – Marcin Przydacz said in the “Morning Interview” on RMF FM.

- So, Ukraine must choose: does it want good relations with Poland, or does it want bad ones. It all depends on the Ukrainian side – he emphasized.

- Let's not pre-judge today what the president's decisions will be. My experiences so far have been good; in fact, all of our projects, the majority of them, gain presidential approval - stated Jolanta Sobierańska-Grenda on TVP Info.

"Volodymyr Zelensky asked President Andrzej Duda for a slightly longer conversation. The President, naturally, given the proposal and willingness, agreed to sit down and clarify certain matters," said Marcin Przydacz in the "Morning Interview" on RMF FM.

"During that hour, historical facts were presented as to why the Polish public opinion is outraged. I think he [Volodymyr Zelensky] did not know many of these issues, was unaware, and learned about them during the conversation – after all – with a historian, because Mr. President holds a doctorate in history," he indicated.

"Russia was also discussed, although it was not the dominant topic in this particular context. Here, the discussion mainly concerned bilateral relations," he added.

- I am ready for dialogue. Today I am meeting with the Supreme Medical Council and President Jankowski. I believe that both the medical community and we are interested in developing solutions that will be a compromise for all of us - stated Jolanta Sobierańska-Grenda in TVP Info.

- The President stated on Kanał Zero on April 17th: "Regarding ambassadorial nominations, we are closer rather than further." Are you closer rather than further now, or further rather than closer? - asked Tomasz Terlikowski during the 'Morning Conversation' on RMF FM.

- Negotiations have been conducted in recent months between the Chancellery of the President and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. An appropriate agreement has been negotiated, which overcomes this dispute. We could have moved forward, specific nominations could have already been signed, and concrete changes at the posts could have occurred - replied Marcin Przydacz.

- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs accepted this agreement. It was deemed: fine, this is a good agreement, since both the Chancellery and the Ministry agree, it has been accepted. And do you know what happened? Donald Tusk said: 'No agreements with President Nawrocki' - indicated the presidential minister.

- At the time when the President was speaking, we indeed took a certain initiative. The President is open, Prime Minister Donald Tusk openly says there are no agreements with this President, only conflict, only struggle, only criticism, only a lack of constructive cooperation with this President - he continued.

- We've been discussing for a long time what we can do within the system and what reforms or actions we can take. However, I received no signal from the Prime Minister that our contract was ending. Therefore, we were rather discussing our strategy for the coming months and years - stated Jolanta Sobierańska-Grenda on TVP Info.

- No, I was not invited. I am disappointed - said Mariusz Błaszczak on TV Republika, when asked if he was disappointed about Mateusz Morawiecki's association's barbecue and if he would attend it.

- First of all, we agreed on a certain self-limitation, right? That if the association has a think-tank character, fine, good, but if it has a different character, then... - he continued.

- Since we are discussing this topic [...] it means it has a different character - he went on, pressed by the host about whether the association has a different character, because he doesn't recall any other association organizing a public barbecue.

- So, it's a kind of party oikophobia, just in Mateusz Morawiecki's edition. This unity is preserved despite the ruling party, because if it weren't for the delegation's leadership by President Karol Nawrocki, then both Sikorski and Kosiniak-Kamysz would likely have aligned with that bad, fatal, and dangerous concept for Poland of creating an alternative to the North Atlantic Alliance – stated Mariusz Błaszczak on TV Republika, when asked about the implications of the NATO summit for Poland.

- It's a pathology that doctors can theoretically work in several places at once, which in practice is simply impossible - said Mariusz Błaszczak on TV Republika.

- Law and Justice [PiS] proposes [...] to separate private healthcare from public healthcare, so that a doctor would simply have to choose whether they want to work in the private or public sector - he continued.

"I think this is a mockery, it's sheer mockery, because there's an attempt by the ruling camp to shift responsibility from themselves onto the doctors. The doctors are bad, and therefore this is manipulation," Mariusz Błaszczak said in an interview with Andrzej Gajcy on TV Republika's "First Conversation of the Day."

"Meanwhile, the essence of the problem, the essence of the pathology, lies with those who promoted Dawidek from the Southern Hospital, who supported him, who allowed him to be the coordinator of the Emergency Department at the Southern Hospital without a specialization, so that he could earn 1,600,000 PLN at the Southern Hospital, and some amount more in other hospitals," he continued.

Czarzasty Meets His Hungarian Counterpart

Today, Sejm Marshal Włodzimierz Czarzasty will meet with the Speaker of the National Assembly of Hungary, Ágnes Forsthoffer.
