During the next Sejm session – the last before the summer recess – MPs will, as part of the first reading, discuss a citizen-led bill on protecting internal security in connection with the implementation of the European Union's migration policy. The proposal will be presented by a representative of the committee – Robert Bąkiewicz.

According to the applicants, the project aims to ensure that in the process of implementing EU law regarding migration policy, particularly the so-called migration pact, the Republic of Poland exercises its competence to protect internal security and public order, as stipulated by Article 72 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union (TFEU).
