At 8:00 AM in Warsaw, a press conference will be held by the Vice-Chairman of PiS and candidate for Prime Minister, Przemysław Czarnek.

At 10:00 AM, Prime Minister Donald Tusk will participate in the ceremony for the conclusion of offset agreements between Military Aviation Works No. 1 S.A. and Lockheed Martin.

Hungarian President Tamas Sulyok will pay a working visit to Poland, visiting Przemyśl, where he will join President Karol Nawrocki in celebrating Polish-Hungarian Friendship Day.

A welcoming ceremony is scheduled for 9:30 AM, followed by a meeting of the presidents at 9:50 AM, and plenary talks between the delegations at 10:00 AM. Statements to the media by the presidents are planned for 10:50 AM.

If the Polish president is embracing Putin's pet, it leaves me with the worst possible impression - stated Marcin Kierwiński on RMF FM.

- I believe this is against Polish security. As if the President doesn't understand that Putin is the Hitler of the 21st Century, that Putin threatens the sovereignty of all of Central Europe, and supporting any person in the EU who is Putin's Trojan horse is simply contradictory to Poland's national interest - he continued.

- The state's powerlessness in all the areas we are witnessing is monstrous, and there's no point in downplaying it. In Greece, it was also downplayed, and it led to a Greek tragedy, which meant a 30% reduction in public administration salaries, pension cuts, etc. We cannot afford that in Poland - said Przemysław Czarnek at a press conference.

- There is something that Prime Minister Tusk must explain: where is the money of Poles? If today we still have GDP growth, and as we know, tax revenues are decreasing, by 23%, this most affects VAT. VAT revenues are decreasing by 25%, with GDP growth, so where is the money? - he continued.

- How is it possible that the state cannot intervene in the fuel market? [...] How is it possible that today, with GDP growth, taxes, instead of flowing into the state budget, are decreasing [...] and there is no money for anything, and the budget deficit is growing at a crazy pace? - he went on to say.

- The defeat before our eyes is obvious, and therefore Tusk must explain himself. We have submitted a motion to the Marshal of the Sejm to supplement the agenda of the upcoming Sejm session this week with a point concerning the Prime Minister's statement on the collapse of public finances - he added.

- This is another brick in the wall that makes it entirely justified to say that PiS has chosen a path towards Polexit - stated Marcin Kierwiński on RMF FM.

- Some politicians, mainly from the right side of the political scene, are exploiting every opportunity to divide society, incite one against another, to sow hatred. This is the most irresponsible action we can encounter - stated Marcin Kierwiński on RMF FM.

- I said I couldn't imagine [cooperation with Konfederacja]. Perhaps I have less imagination than Grzegorz Schetyna. Such a coalition seems impossible to me. I'll tell you more, I am deeply convinced that the coalition of October 15 will win the elections in its current composition - stated Marcin Kierwiński on RMF FM.

- We are all witnessing that these turbulences in the Middle East are having a very negative impact on the markets. This was, to some extent, predictable. You have also heard that certain actions have already been taken by our largest producer. Minister Balczun, together with Orlen, took certain actions; Orlen took certain actions. Please remember that the spectrum of tools at our disposal is limited - said Maciej Berek in “Gość Radia ZET”.

Responding to Bogdan Rymanowski’s remark that VAT and excise tax could be lowered, he replied: - Various things can be done, and all these things are being considered and prepared. We are observing the situation and not acting rashly. We must look at it from the perspective of how this situation may unfortunately still develop.

- It's very easy to say 'please lower them immediately,' that's simple. Please remember that we monitor not only domestic but also foreign markets. - This government [...] has no desire to lower the VAT and excise tax in any way, because it will lose budget revenue. This government wants to maintain fuel prices at the highest level, because the higher the price of fuel, the greater the tax revenue from fuel, and Poles have to refuel, farmers have to refuel - said Przemysław Czarnek at a press conference.

- They want to fleece farmers, fleece Poles, just to plug a little bit of the budget deficit they themselves generated - he continued.

- The President will also be in Hungary today, and will also be talking with Prime Minister Orbán, who for many years has opposed this kind of left-wing agenda. As I say, Russian policy divides us, because here we have decidedly different [views] - stated Zbigniew Bogucki on wPolsce24.

- Thank God our friends from the PSL, although it's hard to call them that, have finally come to their senses and want to work on the presidential bill - said Przemysław Czarnek at a press conference.

- It's not on the agenda [for Karol Nawrocki's meeting with Matteo Salvini and Marine Le Pen], as far as I know. Precisely, it's an attempt, of course, to amplify the topic, to play the Russian card, the pro-Russian card - stated Zbigniew Bogucki on wPolsce24.

- I'll remind you that Donald Tusk at the last council, at the meeting of European leaders, also met with Viktor Orbán, he probably patted him on the back too, there were some talks. Should we say because of this that he supports the policy, if I may say so, concerning the Russian direction of Prime Minister Orbán? Of course not. The problem is that he doesn't support Orbán's policy when it comes to green issues, the abolition of the ETS, and blocking illegal immigrants - he continued.

- "SAFE 0" boils down to BGK taking out loans, incurring debt for this so-called "SAFE 0." It's exactly like saying: "Please immediately reduce fuel prices by 1/3." Great, nice – but what is it financed from? - said Maciej Berek on "Gość Radia ZET.".

- On one hand, there is this government camp and political struggle, but this political struggle or attacks on the president are correlated or aided by the media cartel camp, which can brutally attack, as seen in the case of the First Lady. - The National Health Fund (NFZ) agrees with a hospital: 'I will pay you for a specified number of services' and signs a contract. The hospital fulfills this contract, exhausts the services foreseen in it, and then continues to provide them. Why? Because so-called overperformances have always been paid for. So, in essence, it doesn't matter how many services we agreed upon; the NFZ signs these contracts within its budget - said Maciej Berek on 'Gość Radia ZET'.

- Overperformance means a hospital provides more services than it agreed to. And now the question is - should we pay 100% for what was done beyond the contract, or should we say: 'this is not fair'? It's not fair that we agree with you on X, and you do twice X and say: 'please pay me for everything'. Because in essence, what is this contract then? - he stated.

- A mechanism that would involve reducing the price for so-called overperformances, thereby reducing hospitals' motivation for these overperformances, is a mechanism that, in my opinion, has some rationality to it - he assessed.

- For Poland, Vladimir Putin and the Russian Federation are an existential threat, just like the Bolsheviks in 1920. Poles love Hungarians, they hate Vladimir Putin, who is a war criminal and nothing more. However, states make their diplomatic choices - he stated.

- For me, as President of Poland, Vladimir Putin is a threat to the European idea, to the eastern flank of NATO, and to the European Union. But as in friendship and family, there are things we can agree on, and things we don't have to agree on. So here the position of the Republic of Poland is clear - he indicated.

And if the Mercosur agreement is disadvantageous to Polish farmers, then the Polish President clearly states that it is not in Poland's interest to sign an agreement with Mercosur countries. - If attempts to centralize the European Union undermine the Polish basic law, the Polish constitution, of which I am the guardian, then I say 'stop' - and then I can count on the President's understanding, because we did not join the European Union in order to undermine the Polish constitution - he pointed out.

- When I look at the European Union's climate solutions, ETS1 and ETS2, when in two years' time Poles, due to the ideological climate policy of the European Union, the European Commission, will have to pay more for transport and heating, I say that this policy is disadvantageous for Poland - and this also unites us with Hungary today - he continued.

- When, out of concern for youth, women, our children and our wives, I raise the issue of immigration and the European Commission's policy in the context of immigration, I say 'stop' to illegal immigration in the Republic of Poland, and our borders are sacred, then I disagree with certain bureaucratic solutions of the European Commission out of concern for Polish citizens. And in this context, Poland can also count on Hungary - he emphasized.

- I would like to know what the Polish interest is in supporting the most corrupt and most pro-Putin politician in Europe - Radosław Sikorski said in an interview with journalists in the Sejm.

- For many decades, a custom has been established among democracies that we do not conduct state visits too close to election day. Unfortunately, here there is an evident participation in the election campaign for the incumbent prime minister, who is blocking important Polish initiatives - he stated.

- I remind you - Hungary is vetoing the return of funds to the Armed Forces Support Fund in the European Union, for the aid we provided to Ukraine. We are talking about 2 billion zlotys. Hungary boycotted a priority of the Polish presidency in the European Union, which was the opening of the so-called negotiation cluster with Ukraine. Hungary is blocking the 20th package of sanctions imposed on Russia, and finally, Hungary is blocking a loan of 90 billion euros, which is to enable Ukraine to continue resisting Putin - said Radosław Sikorski in a conversation with journalists in the Sejm.

- These are all fundamental matters. If the President obtained a photo of the Hungarian veto or brought back two fugitives from Polish justice to Poland - then I would understand. But for now, I do not understand what the Polish interest is in this [visit to Hungary] - he stated.

Mateusz Morawiecki responded to the head of government's post: "Donald, I see that for you, a day without a lie is a day wasted. The agreement for the delivery of 96 helicopters was signed by the United Right government in September 2023."

"Mr. President, does the closeness of Viktor Orbán to Vladimir Putin not bother you anymore?" - Mateusz Półchłopek from TVN24 posed this question to President Karol Nawrocki after the press conference with the Hungarian President concluded.

"What do you want to ask about? Didn't you listen to the press conference? Didn't you hear what I think of Vladimir Putin? Did you make reports saying Putin is after me?" - the President of the IPN responded.

Nawrocki, pointing his index finger at the journalist, continued: "The editor will get a grip and listen to what the President of Poland says. I am speaking to you, Mr. Editor. Vladimir Putin is a criminal, do you understand, Mr. Editor? Goodbye."

- The government should abandon levying the fuel fee, which is a Polish addition to the taxes imposed on fuels. It should lower excise duty to the minimum required by the EU - stated Przemysław Wipler in a conversation with Ewa Bugała on TV Republika.

- We should also consider lowering the VAT rate from 23% to 8% due to the exceptional situation, for the time when the situation stabilizes - he continued.

- "Grzegorz Schetyna, in my opinion, realizes one thing. That in such a government, there would be no place for Donald Tusk and many of his former colleagues, with whom he is formally in the same formation. However, I would not want them to rule, and he would look with such joy at how all these people are personally unacceptable," stated Przemysław Wipler on TV Republika.

- It is clear that they [Civic Coalition] are themselves slaves to their most hardcore, most aggressive football hooligans, whose leader is Roman Giertych. Roman Giertych organized a hate group on the internet, in which thousands of people are engaged in slandering individuals who think differently, who are in a different political camp; he created tools to stoke the worst emotions, people who behave most aggressively and hatefully online, without any personal culture - stated Przemysław Wipler on TV Republika.

- Those good times were when Szymon Hołownia was the Marshal. He really behaved fairly in this regard, as a rule. When Konfederacja or PiS submitted bills, we worked with those bills. Admittedly, not with all of them, because there were exceptions, but we did work with them - stated Przemysław Wipler on TV Republika.

- Currently, I believe only Grzegorz Braun is calling for Polexit, because Polexit under the present conditions, when we lack an alternative order within which we could cooperate with our neighbours, with other European nations, for the benefit of all, is a leap into an abyss where it's unknown what we will find - stated Przemysław Wipler on TV Republika.

- Of course I can imagine cooperating with Grzegorz Braun. We are cooperating with his MPs on an ongoing basis, I value parliamentarians who are currently in Braun's parliamentary club, and I can imagine cooperating with these people because I know what kind of people will be leaders of individual lists in specific constituencies, more or less - stated Przemysław Wipler on TV Republika.

- Unilateral withdrawal from the ETS system is impossible. We would then have to leave the European Union. In fact, this is a deep violation of the treaties, because the ETS was in the EU law before we joined the Union - said Paulina Hennig-Kloska in an interview with Beata Lubecka in the "Three Questions at the End of the Day" program on Radio ZET.

- It’s impossible to get out of this system [ETS], but for two years we’ve been trying to change this system and are building a coalition of countries around it. […] When we started building this bloc at the Ministry of Climate and Environment, there were three of us: Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia. As you know today, it’s already a coalition of 10 countries, and many countries understand our demands - said Paulina Hennig-Kloska in “Three Questions at the End of the Day” on Radio ZET.

- [ETS2] It’s been postponed by a year. Right now, with my team, I’m fighting to introduce the voluntariness of this system by 2030. This means countries want to, there are countries that have already calculated it, have it budgeted, want to join, they see this mechanism that will encourage households to transform - she indicated.

- This story is with me now. Of course, I wish the new chairperson [of Polska 2050] and her entire team the best of luck. We are at the Centre today. I wanted to say that 300 people have joined the Centre in recent weeks - said Paulina Hennig-Kloska in "Three Questions at the End of the Day" on Radio ZET.

- Does anyone want to return to Poland 2050 from your party? - Beata Lubecka asked on Radio ZET's "Three Questions at the End of the Day".

- I know nothing about that and none of us want to return. But we are open to cooperation - replied Paulina Hennig-Kloska.

- We are in one governing coalition with our colleagues from Poland 2050. We are forming a government in Poland together, and just as we cooperate with Civic Coalition, PSL, and The Left, so too do we cooperate with Poland 2050. I think many good, joint projects lie ahead of us - she continued.

- Orlen is constantly undertaking actions to minimize the impact of these increases on society [...] it is minimizing its retail margin as much as possible, naturally without being able to act to the detriment of the company. Other instruments are in the hands of the state – said Wojciech Balczun in an interview with Marek Tejchman on the program "Gość Wydarzeń" (Guest of the Events) on Polsat News.

- Orlen is practically at the limit – he continued, when asked how much further Orlen could lower its margin.

- The issue of excise duty, the issue of VAT, and in the future, perhaps the discussion of a windfall profits act, are also potentially being considered - said Wojciech Balczun on Polsat News.

- We are prepared for any possible scenario - he continued, when asked if such projects are emerging, or if the specter of a windfall profits project is circulating through government corridors.

- Reality has very quickly verified these propaganda slogans put forth by the opposition, and it turns out that precisely these RES, renewable energy sources, are the way to build state security and we should invest in them - said Wojciech Balczun in Polsat News, when asked if the current crisis doesn't prove that RES are not entirely 'OZE-sroze' [a dismissive Polish idiom implying something is not as good as it's made out to be], but rather that they make sense.

"I am convinced that we will be able to steer Grupa Azoty out of this historical bottleneck," Wojciech Balczun said on Polsat News.

"I think that in the near future we will have some good news. [...] Good news meaning, extricating ourselves from a certain impasse related to Grupa Azoty," he continued.
