President Nawrocki Concludes First Foreign Trip; Szefernaker: Plan Fulfilled as Per Campaign Promise

"Together with President Karol Nawrocki, we have returned to Poland, concluding the first presidential foreign trip to Washington, Rome, and the Vatican. The plan has been fulfilled as per our election campaign pledge. Thank you for being with us! We fight on! For Poland!" – wrote Paweł Szefernaker, Head of the President's Cabinet, on platform X.

Przydacz to Sikorski: Urgent Need to Streamline the MFA

It does not speak well of the professionalism of the current Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) that it has not forwarded to you a memo that arrived at the Building as early as yesterday. There is an urgent need to streamline the MFA. And to end the paralysis of the foreign service, of which you are the author – Marcin Przydacz wrote on social media.

"Another Provocation": Przydacz on the Detention of a Pole in Belarus

We were following this situation, even while abroad, and the President was also fully informed. Clearly, it appears to be another provocation by the Belarusian side, as this is certainly not the first such incident in Polish-Belarusian relations over recent years – stated Marcin Przydacz on "Fakty po faktach" on TVN24.

Przydacz on Possible Sanctions:

Belarus Must Realize It's a Border State.

Economic instruments. We can, of course, impose our own individual sanctions, but within the EU framework, they are much more biting for any potential state targeted by them. Belarus must also be aware that it is a border state, and this crossing – probably the only one functioning today – is the only window to this direction, the European direction. If I were in the position of the Belarusian satraps, or indeed the satrap himself, I would very seriously reconsider continuing this type of aggressive policy, – stated Marcin Przydacz on TVN24's “Fakty po faktach”.

Przydacz:

Still Awaiting Note from Tusk's Conversation with Merz and Macron

As for Prime Minister Tusk, we are still awaiting a note from his conversation with Chancellor Merz and President Macron. August 27th, that's already over a week ago, it still hasn't arrived. I checked yesterday and today; there is no such note at the President's Chancellery. As for the coalition of the willing, it hasn't reached me to this day, but the visit, perhaps, I don't rule out [that it arrived today]. However, regarding Minister Sikorski's conversation with Rubio, yes, I received such a note – stated Marcin Przydacz on TVN24's "Fakty po Faktach."

Przydacz:

Such Language, Often Penned on Friday Evenings, Is Unbecoming of Poland's Chief Diplomat

He [Radosław Sikorski] is known for his impudent language and for insulting people, and unfortunately, such language – often penned, as I understand, in the evenings, and most often on Friday evenings – is unbecoming of the head of Polish diplomacy. It happens to everyone, but if I were in Minister Sikorski's position, now that he has taken office at Szucha Avenue, I would be very cautious – stated Marcin Przydacz on 'Fakty po faktach' TVN24.

Przydacz:

Trump Made Absolutely No Reference to Rubio-Sikorski Conversation

President Trump made absolutely no reference, not even for a moment, to the Rubio-Sikorski conversation. I have the impression that he was not aware of this conversation, and it is he who makes decisions regarding invitations to the G20 summit, which he plans to host in Florida next year, – stated Marcin Przydacz on TVN24's “Fakty po Faktach”.

Digital Tax Not a Serious Project, Says Przydacz: 'Americans See It as a Stunt by a Minority Party's Deputy PM'

This issue [of digital tax] was not raised by the American side, because the Americans see that it is not a serious project at this stage. It is simply a stunt by one of the deputy prime ministers from a minority party which – as I understand it – is somewhat looking for political oxygen internally – stated Marcin Przydacz on "Fakty po faktach" TVN24.

Sikorski Assesses Nawrocki's White House Visit:

President Adhered to Council of Ministers' Stance.

When the president and the government speak with one voice on security matters, on Putin's aggression, on aid to Ukraine, on G20 issues, then we make progress, and we have achieved that progress – stated Radosław Sikorski on “Pytanie dnia” on TVP INFO.

Yes, here the president adhered to the Council of Ministers' position. This is our constitutional order in Poland. I naturally have some suggestions for the president's future visits – he continued.

No one spoke, I did not speak of a directive. We conveyed the Council of Ministers' position to the president, and it proved helpful – concluded Radosław Sikorski.

20:22

Sikorski on the Effects of Nawrocki’s Meeting with Trump:

We’ll See When It Happens.

I'm giving the president credit for this, especially if President Trump keeps his commitment that the soldiers remain, and their number can even be increased. The G20 is also a shared success, primarily of successive governments that led to us joining the group of the world's 20 largest economies, but also of Prime Minister Tusk, who stated this – said Radosław Sikorski on “Pytanie dnia” on TVP INFO.

Well, we'll see when that happens. We know that in the Pentagon, which is now to be the Ministry of War, there is also a review of the American presence in Europe. And I cannot imagine the Pentagon not following the instructions of its president, its commander-in-chief – he continued.

20:25

Morawiecki:

We Are a Capital Donor for the Rich West. 'That's How the Clever, the Shrewder Ones, Have Arranged This World.'

We are a dependent economy. In dividends, interest on capital, on loans, and on various financial instruments, 120 billion PLN net flows out of Poland annually, while in the best years, 40 to 50 billion PLN net flows to us from the EU. This means we, poor Central Europe, we Poles, are a capital donor for the rich West. That's how the clever, the shrewder ones, have arranged this world for themselves – stated Mateusz Morawiecki during a debate with Adrian Zandberg.

20:26

Morawiecki:

We Must Design and Produce, Not Just Assemble Goods

We must design and produce ourselves, not just assemble goods. We cannot be subcontractors for others, and I can say that a lot has been achieved here over the last 10 years. However, this pivotal moment we find ourselves in, brought about by the war in Ukraine and its repercussions, as well as the changing strategies of the most important global players around us, forces us to accelerate, to revise what has been until now – stated Mateusz Morawiecki during a debate with Adrian Zandberg.

20:26

Morawiecki:

We Must Bet on Innovation

We must bet on innovation, on increasing investment in innovative sectors. Yes, I argue with those who still wish to perceive cheap labor as Poland's competitive advantage. We won't get far with that approach any longer – stated Mateusz Morawiecki during a debate with Adrian Zandberg.

Sikorski responds to Nawrocki:

When a politician talks about himself in the third person, it means he's starting to lose it.

I prefer a political culture in which we don't attack each other abroad and, in front of foreigners, we present ourselves as patriots of our country – countered Radosław Sikorski on "Pytanie dnia" on TVP INFO, when asked about the words of President Nawrocki, who had commented on Sikorski's behavior after a meeting with President Trump.

Ad personam attacks, for one thing, are unbecoming of a head of state, but since Mr. President insists on such a tone, then I can say that when a politician talks about himself in the third person, it means he's starting to lose it – he continued.

Sikorski on German Reparations: 'Unfortunately, It's a Hopeless Case'

Here, we simply have a difference of opinion. The government believes that, unfortunately, the reparations granted to Poland at Potsdam were 'swiped' by Soviet Russia. And the President believes he will secure these reparations. Well, we wish him luck, but we believe, unfortunately, that it's a hopeless case – stated Radosław Sikorski on 'Question of the Day' on TVP INFO.

Well, he's taken that responsibility upon himself. His predecessor didn't succeed for 10 years, and the Law and Justice (PiS) government didn't even *request* reparations for 8 years. So, he's taken on a great deal of responsibility. I congratulate him on his courage – he continued.

20:37

Sikorski:

No Reason to Worry’ Over Russian-Belarusian Military Exercises

Yes, we are talking [with the Americans], but please, no panic. I mean, Russia hasn't been able to take Donbas for three and a half years, so Poland and NATO will cope – stated Radosław Sikorski on ‘Pytanie dnia’ (Question of the Day) on TVP INFO, when asked about the Russian-Belarusian military exercises ‘Zapad’.

These maneuvers take place every three years. Nothing new. We are, of course, monitoring it, and there's no reason to worry – he continued.

20:45

Sikorski on Ceasefire in Ukraine:

It Will Only Happen When Putin Concludes He Cannot Win.

This is a hypothetical discussion about guarantees, about a mission to monitor a ceasefire, if it happens. But first, we need to achieve that ceasefire. And that will only happen when Putin concludes that he is unable to win, and for now, he believes he is winning – stated Radosław Sikorski on "Pytanie dnia" on TVP INFO, when asked about security guarantees for Ukraine.

I wouldn't count on that. Putin shows no signs of wanting to end the war. And that is why President Nawrocki rightly said, and the government rightly says, that the United States should impose sanctions and allow Ukraine to strike Russian refineries – he continued.

Sikorski on G20 Invitation: 'We're Getting Our Foot in the Door'

"I believe we are getting our foot in the door, and now we need to expand on this to ensure this one-time invitation transforms into membership," stated Radosław Sikorski on TVP INFO's "Pytanie dnia" (Question of the Day), when asked about Poland's invitation to next year's G20 summit.

"Firstly, this will be recognition of Poland's success. 20 countries out of 200 UN members means we would be among the 10% wealthiest countries in the world. That's no small feat," he continued.

"Secondly, today's UN Security Council does not reflect the current balance of power. India, Brazil, and Japan are not among its members. However, the G20 represents over 80% of the world's population and over 80% of the world's economy. If, in the future, a constitutional moment for the world order arises, then we should be a part of it," highlighted Deputy Prime Minister Sikorski.
