Tuesday's Political Agenda: Government Session, Sikorski in Miami, RPP Meeting Begins

At 12:00, a meeting of the Council of Ministers will commence. On the agenda are a draft amendment to the Law on the System of Common Courts, and a draft amendment to the Road Traffic Law – in practice, this concerns enabling 17-year-olds to obtain a Category B driving license and introducing mandatory helmet use for children under 16 when riding bicycles and electric scooters.

Tuesday also marks the first day of the Monetary Policy Council (RPP) meeting.

The head of Polish diplomacy, Radosław Sikorski, will present the Lech Wałęsa Solidarity Award in Miami. As he announced on social media, a bilateral meeting with his American counterpart, Senator Marco Rubio, is also planned.

The recipient of the Award will be a prominent representative of the Cuban opposition, repeatedly persecuted for their beliefs and fight for human rights. During his visit to Miami, Minister Radosław Sikorski will meet with representatives of the Cuban diaspora, the Polish community, and politicians from both the Republican and Democratic parties.

Also, today, several press conferences organized by Civic Platform (KO) will take place as part of an informational campaign concerning health education.

Morawiecki:

Nawrocki Has a Chance to Negotiate with Trump. The Current Prime Minister Cannot Even Knock on the White House Door

This is precisely why President Nawrocki has a chance to negotiate with President Trump in various areas, while the current prime minister, my successor, is unable to even knock on the White House door. We have a range of arguments, we have a trade deficit with the USA, and this entire global commotion, if I may say so, about duties, tariffs, quotas, and various types of restrictions, stemmed from the fact that most countries, particularly Germany, but not exclusively, have trade surpluses with the USA – stated Mateusz Morawiecki in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on Radio Zet.

This is point one. Point two – we have, of course, very high defense spending, the highest in NATO relative to GDP. Point three – nuclear energy, which was being built until we concluded our term in office, and has now been effectively halted. These are real arguments with President Trump. I believe in negotiations; President Trump is a dealmaker – he continued.

08:12

Morawiecki:

Perhaps Sikorski will grab Rubio by the sleeve for a moment to talk. Embarrassing

Now the Minister of Foreign Affairs is specially flying to an event, a conference related to the Cuban opposition, because he knows that Marco Rubio might be there and he might grab him by the sleeve to be able to talk to him for a moment. Embarrassing – stated Mateusz Morawiecki on Radio Zet.

Yes, I have my informants in Florida and I know what the backstage dealings were like, and that's why I smile with pity in the direction of Minister Sikorski – he continued.

08:19

Morawiecki as Prime Minister in a Government with Konfederacja?

Yes [I would gladly be Prime Minister in a government with Konfederacja] – stated Mateusz Morawiecki on Radio Zet.

08:21

Morawiecki:

A 'So-Called Economic Government' Is Possible in This Sejm

Everything is possible; the parliamentary arithmetic shows that even in this Sejm, a so-called economic government is possible. I emphasize, an economic one – focused on the most important things. I am announcing a budget alert," Mateusz Morawiecki stated on Radio Zet.

08:23

Morawiecki on Domański:

He Will Play to the Very End in the Titanic Orchestra, Where Tusk is Captain.

Minister Domański will play until the very end in the orchestra on the Titanic, where Donald Tusk is the captain – stated Mateusz Morawiecki on Radio Zet.

08:24

Morawiecki:

We're Accumulating Debt Faster Than Gierek

The trend is very bad, the pace is very high. We are accumulating debt at a faster rate than Edward Gierek, three times faster – stated Mateusz Morawiecki on Radio Zet.

Says Pełczyńska-Nałęcz on KPO Grant Audits:

Two Types of Irregularities Detected,

– I already know there are some irregularities – said Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz in "Piasecki's Interview" on TVN24, when asked about the audits of KPO grants for the HoReCa sector.

– I won't say it now [how many irregularities there were] because I don't have complete information, and I am responsible, because behind every agreement stands a person and a business, who deserve a fair approach – she noted.

As she indicated: – Two types of irregularities. One is a conflict of interest, meaning that within the operators […] experts evaluated projects in which they should not have been involved, as they had ties to the businesses that received the funds.

The second is that someone received money… Contrary to appearances, it's not simply that someone gets a coffee machine and that's it. No, they must write a business plan, they must show how it will integrate into their enterprise, how it will generate taxes, contribute to industry development, and thereby contribute to Poland's development. If it doesn't follow that business plan, if it's not part of the enterprise's activities, and if it doesn't generate taxes, then that is an irregularity – she continued.

– Both types of situations, isolated cases, have been caught – she added.

08:26

Morawiecki:

I'm Taking the Middle Path

"Here is Chairman Mentzen, here is Chairman Adrian Zandberg, and I am taking the middle path. If you think that with the budget, you can just spend all the money, with a 'no holds barred' approach and no restrictions, and that financial markets will never punish a state with 65% debt, then just look at the economic history of the last 10 years. Prudence, spending where it's needed," stated Mateusz Morawiecki on Radio Zet.

08:35

"My Image Was Destroyed by TVP Management." Morawiecki: "Our Policy Towards Konfederacja Was Not Proper."

I think that in this particular case, our policy towards Konfederacja was not proper, and as someone who, it seems, was subject to the 'nine-second rule' there, I know something about it. My image was very often destroyed by TVP's top management. I didn't follow it very closely, because I generally don't watch much television, and didn't use to. If similar actions were taken against Konfederacja, then I'm not surprised by their grievances – stated Mateusz Morawiecki on Radio Zet.

08:36

Pełczyńska-Nałęcz on KPO: 'Zero Tolerance for Irregularities, Absolute Security for Honest Entrepreneurs'

– Where there is an irregularity, my reaction will be uncompromising. But at the same time, absolute security for honest entrepreneurs, of whom there are many in Poland – said Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz on TVN24's “Piasecki's Talk”.

– There were and are those who shouted: 'Let's not treat our entrepreneurs like fraudsters.' These same people, politicians, suddenly started demanding that everyone be lynched online just because a project sounded ridiculous – she stated.

08:39

Morawiecki:

The Prosecutor's Office Plays an Absolutely Servile Role Towards Tusk's Political Agenda

The Prosecutor's Office today plays an absolutely servile role towards Tusk's political agenda. The Prosecutor's Office, under the leadership first of Bodnar, today of Żurek, is a tool for destroying the Polish state, for destroying the opposition, and prosecutors should seriously reflect on this – stated Mateusz Morawiecki on Radio Zet.

08:47

Political Responsibility of Ministry Leadership for KPO Scandal? Pełczyńska-Nałęcz Sees No Grounds. 'I Haven't Discovered Anything'

– Political responsibility is not responsibility for every one of the 850,000 contracts [from KPO]. Responsibility means being the sheriff and watching over, not closing one's eyes to it, and no one involved with the funds from the ministry's leadership, and of course, the directors as well, can derive their private benefits or enter into a conflict of interest – said Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz in TVN24's "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" (Piasecki's Interview).

If a control is not sent, if I know someone has engaged in trickery and I let it go – or, God forbid, I steal from someone myself – then there is a reason for political responsibility. However, I have mechanisms to oversee this. Just as a police officer is supposed to pursue someone who has stolen, that's what I do – she continued.

When pressed about political responsibility at the ministerial and deputy ministerial level, she replied: – I haven't discovered anything. There is responsibility for this money understood exactly as I've described. However, I have not discovered, despite looking very closely, not even a shadow – and the public hasn't either – of a conflict of interest, private gain, or turning a blind eye to irregularities. And I have not discovered this, although I am investigating, at the directorial level.

08:57

Morawiecki on the 2% Loan: 'I wouldn't do that program a second time.'

Looking back now, I'd say: no, I wouldn't do that program [the 2% loan] a second time. This program wasn't a good one, because I am a fervent advocate – and I was even then, when we implemented measures to change supply-side rules – that the largest possible supply of housing is the answer to the housing crisis, with demand playing a much smaller role – stated Mateusz Morawiecki on Radio Zet.

08:59

Government Project on 800+ for Foreigners. Pełczyńska-Nałęcz: 'As Ministers, We Haven't Seen It Yet'

– We, as ministers, have not yet seen the government's draft [on limiting 800+ payments only to working foreigners]. This second version, following what I consider to be the president's disastrous veto. Consequently, I cannot approve it, but I also don't hold that against anyone, because it needs some time – said Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz in “Piasecki's Interview” on TVN24.

– Today is a cabinet meeting, but this project won't be there; I didn't see it on the agenda. Approving a project is a serious matter; one needs to get the project on the table to be able to analyze and read it – she pointed out.

"Obvious Topics": Bogucki on the Agenda for Nawrocki’s Upcoming Conversation with Trump

I think the topics are obvious, we've already been talking about them, so it’s a very working, broad agenda. Security issues, military security issues, energy security issues, let’s not forget that tankers with American gas or American tankers are docking at the gas terminal in Świnoujście, but also, naturally and obviously, the issue that is heating up international opinion, namely the issue of Ukraine – stated Zbigniew Bogucki in the program “Bez Uników. Rozmowa Polityczna w Trójce” on PR3, when asked about the plan for Nawrocki’s conversation with Trump tomorrow.

What is extremely important from the perspective of Polish security, from the perspective of the security of our region, but perhaps more broadly for the construction of global security, because we know that Russia is the aggressor here. Russia is the one who, well, the country that bestially attacked Ukraine. Probably many other topics, but I am talking about these, about the most important ones – he continued.

10:25

Bogucki on US Troops in Poland: 'The Threat is How Some European Leaders, Especially Germany, Behave Today'

Of course, first and foremost, the Polish army – strong, well-trained, numerous, equipped with the most modern hardware, much of which is used by Americans today – that is, one might say, the second pillar of Polish security, or the presence of Americans alongside, I emphasize, alongside the strength and effectiveness of the Polish army – stated Zbigniew Bogucki on the program “No Evasions. Political Conversation on Trójka” aired on PR3, when asked whether the president would raise the topic of the presence of American troops in Poland during his visit to the White House, in the context of various associated challenges.

The threat is how some European leaders are behaving today, primarily here I mean Germany, whose interest it is for America not to be economically present, or to be present to a lesser extent, in Europe, because that creates space for German business and industry. But why, for heaven's sake, does the Polish government, which has completely different interests, align itself with this? I don't know. I appeal to, or rather, I recall here that unfortunately already famous 'nomen-omen' document on security – though it's hard to speak of security within it – which anticipates pushing the United States out of Europe – he continued.

10:27

Bogucki on the Wind Farm Bill Veto: 'They Were Convinced Trzaskowski Would Win in June'

If we stick to the numbers, he signed 31 and vetoed seven. Because the President signed significantly more bills than he vetoed. There were also instances where, for example, the political circles that supported the President – so my Law and Justice (PiS) circles – voted against certain bills, yet the President signed those laws – stated Zbigniew Bogucki on the program 'Bez Uników. Rozmowa Polityczna w Trójce' (No Evasions. Political Conversation on Trójka) on PR3, when asked about presidential vetoes.

If the current government had listened to us today, when we said: let's provide protection, not for three quarters, but for the entire year 2025, then this issue wouldn't exist. They didn't provide these protections for one simple reason. They were convinced that Rafał Trzaskowski would win in June, and if Rafał Trzaskowski won, there would be no issue of freezing prices. Poles, you're on your own. And that's the truth, Madam Editor, so this issue is, first and foremost, an attempt at politically manipulating Poles – he continued.

11:34

Bosak:

President's Policy Aligns More with Confederation's Expectations; PiS Is At a Loss

– I don't believe there has been a change in PiS's stance [towards Ukrainian citizens]. In my opinion, they don't quite know what to do with a situation where the president they supported is pursuing a policy closer to what the Confederation expected than their own, – said Krzysztof Bosak on Radio Plus's "Sedno sprawy" (The Crux of the Matter) program.

– Regarding the bill that the president vetoed, they themselves abstained in the Sejm during the vote on the motion to reject it. They were, in my opinion, supporters of extending privileges for Ukrainians in Poland, at least the party leadership, – he stated.

– I believe they haven't changed their stance yet, but, so to speak, they are getting used to the idea that their very pro-Ukrainian views have diverged from the sentiments of the voters, – he added.

11:50

Bosak Rejects Mentzen's Stance: 'I Wouldn't Agree With That Approach'

– It seems to me that he [Sławomir Mentzen] was talking about investment by the state, and not by private enterprises. And I would not agree with such an approach. I believe that the state should support innovation. I agree that what Sławomir Mentzen said is risky. However, the state must have the ability to take risks in strategic areas. Of course, this risk should not be unlimited – said Krzysztof Bosak on Radio Plus's "Sedno sprawy".

11:57

Bosak on Nawrocki's US Trip:

Expecting Him to Bring Us Something Back Is Unrealistic.

– There's a huge disparity in potential between Poland and the United States, so in my opinion, framing the matter in such a way that [President Karol Nawrocki] must return with something, that he has to bring us something back, is unrealistic – said Krzysztof Bosak in 'Sedno Sprawy' on Radio Plus.

– The very fact of the meeting is a certain distinction; it's good that the President of Poland, after consultations with leaders of other countries in the region, will speak with the president of the most important Western and NATO country – he continued.

12:24

Tusk on the President’s visit to the USA:

He knows exactly from us what Poland would expect from this visit.

I once again confirmed to the President [Karol Nawrocki] before his departure to Washington that the government's recommendations, prepared for the President's visit, remain in effect. Minister Sikorski informed [him] what the priorities are from the perspective of Polish interests and what we are counting on. I sincerely keep my fingers crossed for the effectiveness of these relations, and of course, Poland's security in various aspects is absolutely crucial here – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk during a government session.

I don't think, I don't want to impose any agenda that is unfeasible in any way. It would certainly be good if, for example, issues of tariffs did not ultimately prove detrimental to Poland, but I am not sure if this will be the agenda of the presidents' meeting. One thing is certain, President Nawrocki knows exactly from us what Poland would expect from this visit – he continued.

12:27

Tusk Announces Participation in Thursday's 'Coalition of the Willing' Meeting

On Thursday, I will participate; this time, President Macron is organizing the meeting. We will discuss what can be done at this stage for peace and to halt Russian aggression – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk during a government meeting.

12:29

"There are 20 such countries in the world." Tusk: Poland has joined the exclusive club of trillionaire countries

Poland has just, in these days, joined this very exclusive club of trillionaire countries. I know these are abstract statistics, that something like a trillion is rather hard to fathom, but it makes an impression, there are 20 such countries in the world – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk during a government meeting.

12:43

"To Facilitate Your Work": Sikorski Addresses Nawrotzki Before Departing for Washington

"Esteemed Mr. President, we will both be in the United States, and we will be holding discussions at our respective levels – I with Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and you, Mr. President, with President Donald Trump," said Radosław Sikorski in a recording published on the Prime Minister's Office's account on X.

"To facilitate your work, the Council of Ministers has adopted a position, so that you, Mr. President, know what to adhere to in your talks," he emphasized.

As the Minister of Foreign Affairs pointed out: "Our greatest concern is that you, Mr. President, speak about Putin's actual goals in Ukraine and advocate for a just peace for Ukraine. And secondly, that you, Mr. President, prevent reductions in American troops in Europe, particularly in Poland.

"Additionally, you, Mr. President, have received extensive materials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. I am keeping my fingers crossed for the success of the talks in Washington," Sikorski concluded.

14:38

Przydacz:

As Far As I Know, the White House Did Not Invite Anyone from the Polish MFA

I understand you are asking if we will be inviting [people] to the White House, because, as far as I know, the White House did not invite anyone from the Polish MFA. Unless something has changed. I can only say whom the President is inviting to his delegation, and I have already mentioned that delegation, a 6-person delegation – stated Marcin Przydacz at a press briefing.

After the entire visit, an appropriate memo will be sent to the MFA, and if the MFA wishes to have additional information, both I and my directors are absolutely open to such a discussion in order to exchange information – he continued.

14:42

Przydacz on Meeting with Trump:

The President Will Advance Poland's Interests As They Ought To Be.

"I fear that these expectations for a direct relationship cannot be fully realized, as Prime Minister Tusk likely does not have a direct relationship with Donald Trump. President Nawrocki, however, will advance the interests of the Republic of Poland as they ought to be," Marcin Przydacz stated at a press briefing.

Szłapka on Tusk's Paris Visit:

Also an Opportunity to Meet Macron.

– A meeting is taking place in Paris on Thursday. Donald Tusk is flying to Paris to participate in a meeting of the coalition of the willing. This will also be an opportunity to meet President Macron – said Adam Szłapka at a press conference at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister.

How Much Did PiS Governments Recover from Germany in Reparations? PO Publishes Graphic Suggesting 'Ziobro = Zero'

Ladies and Gentlemen, below we are publishing information on HOW MUCH funds PiS governments recovered from Germany in reparations in the years (2005-2007, 2015-2023) – wrote Civic Platform on social media, publishing a photo of Zbigniew Ziobro.

Szefernaker Tweets Ahead of the President’s Trip to the USA:

As Promised During the Campaign.

President Karol Nawrocki has departed today on his first official foreign trip. As promised during the campaign, tomorrow he will have a meeting in Washington with President Donald Trump – Paweł Szefernaker wrote on social media.

On the return journey, a visit to Rome and the Vatican. Poland First, Poles First! – emphasized the Chief of Staff of the President of the Republic of Poland.

17:11

Sikorski Meets Rubio, Presents Iconic 'High Noon' Poster

– Before the presentation of the Solidarity Prize, the heads of diplomacy of Poland and the USA discussed Polish-American cooperation in the areas of security and energy. During the meeting, joint efforts for a lasting and just end to the war in Ukraine were also discussed – the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced in a statement.

Additionally, Radosław Sikorski presented Secretary of State Marc Rubio with the 'High Noon' poster from 1989, signed by President Lech Wałęsa.

17:58

Rubio Thanks Poland: 'Your Government Is an Extraordinary Ally for Freedom'

A ceremony for the Lech Wałęsa Solidarity Award took place in Miami, attended by Deputy Prime Minister Radosław Sikorski and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio. This year's recipient of the Award was Cuban dissident Berta Soler Fernandez.

In his speech, Poland's Foreign Minister spoke, among other things, about the history of Solidarity, Lech Wałęsa, the role of the USA in the fight for freedom, and presented the biography of the award recipient.

Meanwhile, Marco Rubio thanked Poland at the end of his address. – Your government in Poland is an extraordinary ally for freedom. There are other countries that have freed themselves from the yoke of tyranny and may offer help from time to time. But no other in the world has been more helpful, more steadfast, and more aligned with us than Poland – stated the US Secretary of State.

He continued: – Just a few months ago, we discussed certain events in Cuba. I asked for a favor, I asked the Polish government for help on several global and international matters, and it immediately and without delay materialized. This shows that among all the nations of the world that have overcome the tyranny of communism, the one that has certainly not forgotten how much effort it cost to defeat it, and now raises its voice and takes action on behalf of those who still suffer from communism, is our allies and friends in Poland. Thank you very much for that.

18:34

Sikorski After Rubio Meeting: 'I Lobbied for US to Invite Us to G20'

"Given that Poland has entered the club of trillion-dollar economies, I also lobbied for the United States, as next year's G20 president, to invite us to this group," Radosław Sikorski said during a press briefing in Miami.

"We are entitled to this not only as one of the world's 20 largest economies but also as a country that presents a political and intellectual argument. Because we are the country that successfully transformed from a command economy to a free-market economy and are a role model for others," he continued.

18:39

Sikorski on US Soldiers in Poland:

This will be a success of President Nawrocki's special relations with Trump.

– This [the awarding of the Solidarity Prize] was also an opportunity for discussions on the current agenda of relations, the very good Polish-American relations. Naturally, the issue of the review of American forces in Europe. Here – I am convinced – President Karol Nawrocki will support us in this tomorrow at the White House – said Radosław Sikorski during a press briefing in Miami.

– The success of his special relations with the MAGA movement and with President Trump personally will be whether the United States increases its presence in Poland, and a lack of success would be if they reduced it – he stated.

18:46

Sikorski:

We Don't Understand Why President's Advisors Are Causing Disarray and Abandoning Practices That Ensure Successful Visits

– I think it is useful for the president when he has a policy-specific deputy minister at hand, especially at such important meetings. We do not understand why the president's advisors are causing disarray and departing from practices that ensure the success of the president's visits, for which, of course, we are wishing success – said Radosław Sikorski during a press briefing in Miami.

There is only one Poland, and on these most crucial issues, such as matters of war and peace, and relations with our most important ally, it should speak with one voice. And that voice is determined by the Council of Ministers – he continued.

19:25

Śliwka on Reparations: 'President Pushes Forward While Government Slams on Brakes and Pulls Handbrake'

Mr. Editor, I have no doubt that the President, who plays a very important role in the Polish constitutional system, is one of the two branches of the executive power alongside the Council of Ministers. According to the Polish Constitution, he also conducts foreign policy, and thus actions will be undertaken by the President. Firstly, to put this topic on the agenda in Polish-German relations – stated Andrzej Śliwka in “Rozmowa Polskiego Radia 24” (Polish Radio 24's Interview), when asked about the actions of the United Right government regarding reparations and the role of President Nawrocki.

Because, unfortunately, it must be said clearly: the Polish government is taking extremely harmful actions when it comes to this topic. These are astonishing statements from both Minister Sikorski and Prime Minister Donald Tusk, who falsely claims that, from a legal, formal, and international standpoint, the issue of reparations is closed, and that he will not beg for it – said the PiS politician.

I would very much like the Polish government, together with the President, to undertake efforts in this regard. But at this moment, we have a situation where the President is pushing the topic forward, while the Polish government is hitting the brakes and even pulling the handbrake – he continued.

19:26

Says Śliwka on Digital Tax Proposal:

The Ministry of Digital Affairs"Project Is a Legal Dud,

"Yes, but the fundamental problem is that the tax – or rather, the tax proposal – prepared by Deputy Prime Minister Gawkowski, is a legal dud. We need to state that clearly," Andrzej Śliwka declared in "Rozmowa Polskiego Radia 24" (Polish Radio 24 Talk), when asked about the digital tax.

"I can express my assessment. The project prepared by the Ministry of Digital Affairs is a dud, it's ill-prepared, and it discourages American businesses from investing in Poland. And this is a counterproductive action," he continued.

"Of course, we can discuss with our American partners the issue of taxing these major Big Tech companies. It's worth discussing, but it must be taken into account that if we are to engage in talks with our American partners, we need to be prepared for those talks," the PiS politician noted.

19:51

Szefernaker:

'I Reassure.' Notes Are Shared After Every International Meeting

After the meeting, and indeed after every international meeting held by the President, notes from those meetings are transferred. So, I reassure everyone that everything will be carried out in this instance just as it has always been. There is clearly considerable agitation within the government, because since they lack such relations with the American administration, it certainly surprises them that on day 29, President Nawrocki, just as he promised during his campaign, is at a meeting in the White House – stated Paweł Szefernaker in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on Polsat News' "Gość Wydarzeń."

20:05

Szefernaker:

This Visit Is Primarily Meant to Be a New Opening in Relations Between the American and Polish Administrations

Karol Nawrocki is implementing what he spoke about during his election campaign, and it is natural that all of this is being done with a sense of good relations and a new opening in relations with the USA. This visit is primarily meant to be such a new opening in relations between the American and Polish administrations, because until now, as we know, for the last year and a half, the government has not had such a relationship – stated Paweł Szefernaker on Polsat News’ “Gość Wydarzeń.”

20:09

"It’s a Disgrace for Poland That We Have Such a Politician." Szefernaker: "Instead of Sending Classified Documents, They Emailed a One-Page Note"

This is utterly childish [referring to the Foreign Minister’s video]. Instead of sending documents that should have been classified, they emailed a one-page note. It’s a disgrace for Poland that we currently have such a politician, who, before President Nawrocki’s visit, tries to conduct Polish foreign policy in such a way — stated Paweł Szefernaker on “Gość Wydarzeń” on Polsat News.

20:35

Bogucki on Tomorrow's White House Visit:

The President Wants to Speak the Language of Polish Interests, Polish National Interest in Washington.

Because Poland is united, the President wants to speak tomorrow in Washington the language of Polish interests, of Poland's national interest. However, I am surprised that Minister, Deputy Prime Minister Sikorski is surprised that he is precisely not part of this delegation. For nearly two years, as the head of Polish diplomacy, he was unable to organize such a meeting. I regret this because, regardless of who is the Minister of Foreign Affairs and who is the Polish Prime Minister, I would like Polish diplomatic relations with the United States to be as good as possible – stated Zbigniew Bogucki on "Kropka nad i" on TVN24, when asked about the rejection of Minister Sikorski's offer, who proposed his presence in the Polish delegation for the meeting between Nawrocki and Trump.

I remember one such meeting, after which Minister Sikorski, then still a minister, not a deputy prime minister, came out and said that it had taken place. And that, so to speak, was the end of the relations. In Washington, we have Mr. Klich, who is unfortunately only a chargé d'affaires, and if there isn't a change in the government's proposal here, he will remain that chargé d'affaires. This does not serve Poland's interests – he continued.

20:38

Bogucki on Nawrocki's Trump Meeting: 'Returning to Normal Relations'

First and foremost, [President Nawrocki wants] to return to normal relations, such as those that existed during the Law and Justice government. Such as those the Law and Justice government also had with a president from the Democrats, Joe Biden, who, I recall, flew over Paris, Berlin, Brussels earlier, and where did he land? He landed in Warsaw to talk with the Polish president at the time… and with the Polish government, he also met with the Polish government – stated Zbigniew Bogucki on "Kropka nad i" on TVN24, when asked about the purpose of President Nawrocki's visit to the White House.

President Duda had good relations, but this government did everything to make them bad. Meaning, if you send a person who spoke scandalously about the President of the United States, and he is to be Poland's ambassador and represent Poland, then that is something shocking from that point of view – Bogucki continued.

20:48

Bogucki on German Reparations:

A Crucial Polish Interest.

I don't know if this will be on the agenda. I know that it is a vital Polish interest for everyone, regardless of what side of the political scene we are on, what media we represent, to speak firmly about it: yes, we are owed, we are due compensation and reparations from Germany — stated Zbigniew Bogucki on “Kropka nad i” on TVN24, when asked about the issue of reparations from Germany in the context of President Nawrocki's visit to the White House.

During the rule of Law and Justice, a report was created, a very concrete report describing Polish war losses. No government has done this so far. No government has placed this on the international agenda. The president acted similarly. The only group that is in opposition to firmly demanding, firmly demanding compensation and reparations for the German barbarity on Polish territory, for the destruction of the biological fabric of the Polish nation as well, are those people who are governing today — he continued.

20:56

Bogucki Assesses the President's Relationship with the Government:

It's at a Decent Level.

"It [the president's relationship with the government] is at a decent level, that's what I'd call it, when it comes to international affairs. But today, the president has to deal with matters that the Polish government hasn't addressed and hasn't put on the agenda for nearly two years," stated Zbigniew Bogucki on "Kropka nad i" on TVN24.

"The President will not behave the way those currently in power have behaved today. I assure you, he's not going there to complain; he's going to talk, to build partnerships, to foster partnership relations, which are extremely important. Poland should be a leader when it comes to these transatlantic relations. For many reasons: historical, security, economic, and many, many others," he continued.
