Nowacka:

The President, Having Excellent Relations with Trump, Should Be the Voice of Poland and Europe on Tariffs and Relations with Putin

– Regarding foreign affairs, I believe the Prime Minister has already clearly outlined the areas in which he sees the President, his contacts, capabilities, and also our expectations. Not as the government's expectations, but as the citizens of the Republic of Poland's expectations towards the President, who, having these excellent relations with Donald Trump, I believe should also be the voice of Poland, and indeed Europe, on issues of tariffs imposed on Europe and their consequences, and on issues of President Trump's relations with Putin, who for us is an absolute threat, and here we see no room for any stance other than an anti-Russian one. I hope that these are the things that the President, in accordance with the will of the citizens, will convey to Donald Trump – stated Barbara Nowacka in an interview with Marcin Fijołek on 'Graffiti' on Polsat News.

"It Saddens Me That Czarnek Is an Ignoramus." Nowacka: "He Clearly Hasn't Read the Health Education Core Curriculum."

"We know that Mr. Czarnek is arrogant, but that he is an ignoramus, that deeply saddens me, because he clearly hasn't read the core curriculum for health education. What is health education for? Its purpose is for children and youth to gain resilience to the challenges of the modern world, covering mental health, diet and exercise, healthy eating, preventive medicine – meaning vaccinations and preventive screenings – and also information on how the NFZ operates. Yes, sexuality is a part of our lives. We can, like Przemysław Czarnek, shout that it isn't so, but it is." – stated Barbara Nowacka on "Graffiti" Polsat News.

Nowacka on Talks with Konfederacja:

I Have a Different Vision Than Zgorzelski.

I also understand that PSL is trying to reach out to young people who often gravitate towards Konfederacja. The liberal faction, including Civic Coalition (KO), is also considering why such electoral choices are made and how much liberal ideas should resonate in society. I am a social democrat; for me, social policies, support for working people, and the most vulnerable are a priority. But I absolutely understand the needs of entrepreneurs, because they are the ones who build... I have a different vision than Marshal Zgorzelski, while greatly respecting him – stated Barbara Nowacka on "Graffiti" on Polsat News.

Nowacka Dismisses New Party Rumors: "We Haven't Laughed This Much in Ages"

That was one of the more interesting articles I've come across. It's absolutely based on rumors. We even spoke yesterday with Minister Dziemianowicz-Bąk, who is also on this list, and we haven't laughed so much in a long time reading that there's a need for some conservative-liberal formation. Perfectly liberal-conservative Nowacka and Dziemianowicz-Bąk? Let's be serious — stated Barbara Nowacka on "Graffiti" on Polsat News.

We are in a situation where the October 15th Coalition camp is consolidating, and we are cooperating very well with each other. Frankly, these last few weeks working on the budget have shown that minor conflicts are fading into oblivion — continued the Education Minister.

F-16 Crash in Radom: Kosiniak-Kamysz Visits Fallen Pilot's Base

– We are in Krzesiny, at the base where the Major served. [...] Investigative work is underway at Radom airport. Two teams, the prosecutor's office, and the Air Accident Investigation Commission are involved. These actions are being conducted independently to ensure a full clarification and presentation of the matter, including reports and conclusions, – said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz at the 31st Tactical Air Base in Poznań-Krzesiny, where Major Maciej “Slab” Krakowian, who tragically died yesterday during exercises preceding the Radom AirShow, served.

– I also wanted to be here today with the commanders, among the soldiers, pilots, and ground personnel who had the opportunity and honor to serve alongside the Major. They had the privilege of together acquiring skills, enhancing their qualifications, supporting each other, forging friendships, being together, defending Poland, and serving Poland, – he continued.

– I was scheduled to be here today to welcome our allies from the Kingdom of the Netherlands, who had just landed in their F-35s. They will support us in the mission of protecting Polish airspace as part of an allied NATO mission. But of course, that plan was changed. I wanted to be here with the commanders and everyone serving at the base, especially those who had close contact with ‘Slab’ – he added.

Ruchniewicz Removed as Pilecki Institute Director; Cienkowska Announces Successor

– My mission at the ministry is, above all, a professional and long-term cultural policy, and a key element of it is memory policy. This is one of my priorities. That has not changed. I have made the decision to recall Professor Ruchniewicz from the position of director of the Witold Pilecki Institute for Solidarity and Valour – said Marta Cienkowska at a press conference.

– The main reason for my decision is the failure to fulfill duties regarding enabling the statutory functioning of the Pilecki Institute, through faulty programmatic plans, flawed communication policy, and defective management decisions – she stated.

– I have also decided that Mr. Karol Madaj will become the director of the institution. Karol Madaj knows the Pilecki Institute well; he also worked at the Institute of National Remembrance (IPN), at the Museum of Polish History, and also served as acting director and was the director of the Pilecki Family Home Museum in Ostrów Mazowiecka. The new director will present his personnel and programmatic decisions regarding the further activities of the Pilecki Institute in the coming days – she announced.

President Vetoes 'Lex Kamilek,' Citing Children's Rights Commissioner's Arguments

Regarding the second bill, it's the act commonly known as 'lex Kamilek'. It was proposed by the ruling, parliamentary majority as an element of deregulation. There is no consent for the President to sign this bill for many reasons. These reasons were also pointed out by the Children's Rights Commissioner, let me remind you, an official chosen by the votes of that very parliamentary majority – stated Zbigniew Bogucki at a press conference.

From the very beginning, the Commissioner pointed to the far-reaching shortcomings, to put it very euphemistically, of this bill and the lowering of children's rights protection. The President does not agree and shares the Commissioner's stance in this regard on reducing children's rights at the cost of eliminating certain administrative difficulties; above all, the child's well-being is paramount – continued the Head of the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland.

11:46

Bogucki:

When the Prime Minister Requests Meetings, the President Will Respond Positively

I believe that when Prime Minister [Donald Tusk] requests meetings, President [Karol Nawrocki] will respond positively, as he has already demonstrated in recent days – stated Zbigniew Bogucki at a press conference.

11:57

"Diplomatic Blunder": Bogucki on the MFA’s 'Instruction'

I will respond here, speaking for Minister Przydacz: we have plenty of our own means here, but we will take these as well. Calling something that is sent to the President of the Republic of Poland 'instructions' is, to put it very euphemistically, a mistake. Such a diplomatic blunder, by the way, leads me to believe that anyone who signs and sends such documents does so either out of ill will or out of deep ignorance of the Polish constitutional hierarchy and the position of the President of the Republic of Poland – stated Zbigniew Bogucki at a press conference.

12:34

Morawiecki:

A Bank Tax Is Essential

"Banks in Poland are reporting record profits! Therefore, a bank tax must be introduced so that the financial sector can fairly contribute to the development of the state and the support of its citizens," Mateusz Morawiecki wrote on platform X.

15:51

Nawrocki:

'I Deeply Believe the Breakthrough Technology Development Fund Will Gain Parliamentary Approval for Our Shared Future'

I deeply believe that for our shared future, the Breakthrough Technology Development Fund will gain approval in the Polish parliament. The technological revolution, unfolding before our very eyes, affects all spheres of public life, our daily lives, from academic and university life to our security. I am glad that generals, representatives of the BBN, and my close collaborators are with us. Yes, new technologies today also touch upon issues of our shared security, agriculture, the Polish energy sector, and daily life – stated President Karol Nawrocki in Warsaw.

15:57

Nawrocki:

'I Will Appoint Such a Council in September'

We need the support of the President of Poland, we need a Breakthrough Technologies Fund, but we also need a Council for New Technologies, and I will establish such a council as early as September 2025 – stated President Karol Nawrocki in Warsaw.

16:05

Nawrocki:

My Bill Can Halt the Exodus of New Technology Specialists from Poland

– This bill [on the Breakthrough Technology Development Fund] gives us a great opportunity, on the one hand, to say "stop" to the exodus of our new technology specialists beyond the borders of the Republic. This is happening because there is no inflow of capital and funding for many startups – said President Karol Nawrocki in Warsaw.

On the other hand, this bill gives us a real opportunity to connect academic communities, startups, entrepreneurs, and new technology professionals with a real center of power, namely the Presidential Palace. That is why the bill stipulates cooperation between the Polish government […] and the president and experts – he continued.

– This bill and its solutions, I deeply believe, will also enable the President of Poland to undertake technological diplomacy. […] So that technological diplomacy worldwide, on the one hand, brings foreign capital to Poland […], and on the other hand, allows us to exchange our experiences – he stated.

Tusk Reiterates 'End of PiS-Era High Prices' Message

Just as I said: the end of PiS-era high prices! Inflation has just dropped significantly below 3 percent – wrote Prime Minister Donald Tusk.

20:02

Domański:

I Believe the President Will Temporarily Halt Further Cabinet Councils

What I can say is that the ministers, including myself, left this council very satisfied. I think the President will at least for some time forgo organizing further [Cabinet Councils] – stated Andrzej Domański on TVP Info.

20:15

Domański:

Once Again, I Appeal to the President's Pseudo-Advisers

Once again, I appeal to the president's advisers – or, more accurately, pseudo-advisers – to suggest solutions to him that serve to strengthen the Polish economy. It is very difficult to sabotage or announce a veto, for instance, on tax increases for banks, while simultaneously stating that the deficit in Poland is too high – stated Andrzej Domański on TVP Info.

20:46

Błaszczak on Vetoes:

The President is Fulfilling His Commitments,

Please note, first of all, that out of 38 legislative proposals, seven have been vetoed. Thus, 31 have been signed. Please note that President Karol Nawrocki, when vetoing a bill, submits his own presidential proposal. This is the case regarding the matter concerning aid for Ukrainians in Poland. After all, this proposal could be adopted as an effective law, as binding law in Poland, but it is clear that there is no will from the government of the 'December 13th Coalition' – stated Mariusz Błaszczak on 'Gość Wydarzeń' on Polsat News, when asked about the presidential vetoes of laws.

Please note something that, in my opinion, is the most important thing in all of this: that President Karol Nawrocki is fulfilling the commitments he made during his election campaign. It's different in the case of Donald Tusk – his '100 specifics' have not been implemented. Or the assurances of the Third Way, I believe 12 guarantees, they also have not been fulfilled – he continued.

20:47

Błaszczak on a PiS-Konfederacja alliance:

If it's just a coalition built on animosity, it will fall apart sooner or later.

We are open to a coalition, but it must be a programmatic one. That is why Chairman Jarosław Kaczyński presented 10 points that form the foundation for programmatic discussions. For instance, the first point stipulated the principle 'no coalition with Donald Tusk'. This point was rejected by Sławomir Mentzen – stated Mariusz Błaszczak on 'Gość Wydarzeń' on Polsat News, when asked about a PiS-Konfederacja coalition.

We do not seek power for power's sake. We aim to take the reins of government to implement our program, which I am convinced is a good program for Poland. So we are demonstrating: here it is, let's talk; this is the programmatic basis for our cooperation. On this basis, on this foundation, we can truly build a coalition, and not on any other. If it's merely a coalition built on animosity towards someone, as is the case with the December 13th coalition, it will sooner or later fall apart. Therefore, one should build on an agreed-upon foundation, not on something that lacks any concrete expression – he continued.

The Prime Minister of the Polish government should be a politician designated by the party that wins the elections – continued Mariusz Błaszczak, when asked who should serve as Prime Minister in a potential PiS-Konfederacja coalition.

20:47

Błaszczak on Nawrocki's Signing of the So-Called 'Toruń Declaration':

Commitments Must Be Fulfilled.

I interpret President Karol Nawrocki's declaration on two levels. The first level is the principle of commitments made to voters. Therefore, these commitments must be fulfilled. We, Law and Justice, also fulfilled the commitments we made. The government of the current December 13th coalition neither observes nor upholds its commitments – stated Mariusz Błaszczak on "Gość Wydarzeń" on Polsat News, when asked about Nawrocki's pre-election pledge not to sign a bill raising or introducing new taxes.

And secondly, the budget, the financial situation of our state, of Poland. The financial situation is dire. Hence, President Karol Nawrocki, as head of state, feels responsible for the Polish state and exercises the prerogatives that are enshrined in the Constitution of the Republic of Poland – he continued.

Błaszczak Dismisses 2026 Defense Budget: 'Just Nice-Looking Numbers'

The experience related to the budget execution, the poor execution of the Ministry of National Defence's budget for 2024, indicates that these are just nice-looking numbers – stated Mariusz Błaszczak on 'Gość Wydarzeń' on Polsat News, when asked about the 2026 budget presented by the Council of Ministers, according to which 200 billion zlotys will be allocated for defense, representing 4.8% of GDP.

Please note that in 2024, the Ministry of National Defence's budget constituted 4.2% of GDP, but how much was actually executed? 3.8%. 20 billion zlotys were not executed. This year's budget amounts to 186 billion zlotys. Of this, over 70 billion zlotys comes from the Armed Forces Support Fund, and the execution of the Armed Forces Support Fund by mid-year is only 16%. Therefore, the budget will not be executed, and that is the problem – Błaszczak continued.
