Thursday's Political Agenda: Nawrocki with Baltic and Danish Leaders, Government on 2026 Budget, Kaczyński on Tour, Morawiecki Joins Mentzen

Government on Next Year's Budget

At 2:00 PM, the Council of Ministers will convene. The sole item on the agenda is the draft budget bill for 2026.

Nawrocki with Leaders of Four Baltic Sea Region States

At 6:00 PM at the Belweder Palace, President Karol Nawrocki will meet with the Presidents of Lithuania, Gitanas Nausėda, Estonia, Alar Karis, Latvia, Edgars Rinkēvičs, and the Prime Minister of Denmark, Mette Frederiksen.

The President is traveling to Washington in a few days and wants to be the voice of the region. However, he first wants to listen to the region, so that – as a leader of this region – he can arrive with a certain established position on Russia – announced Marcin Przydacz, head of the presidential Bureau of International Policy.

Head of MoD on "Security Handbook" and at the Opening of the Satellite Mission Control Center

At 8:30 AM, a conference will be held by the Head of the Ministry of National Defense (MoD), Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, who, together with the Head of the Ministry of Interior and Administration (MSWiA), Marcin Kierwiński, and the Deputy Director of the Government Centre for Security (RCB), Colonel of the Border Guard Mariusz Marchlewicz, will present the "Security Handbook."

Later, at 11:00 AM, Deputy Prime Minister Kosiniak-Kamysz will participate in the opening of the Satellite Mission Control Center. Also attending the ceremony will be Deputy Heads of the Ministry of National Defense, Cezary Tomczyk and Stanisław Wziątek (Secretary of State in the MoD), as well as the Rector-Commandant of the Military University of Technology (WAT), Brig. Gen. Prof. Dr. Hab. Eng. Przemysław Wachulak. The Head of the MoD is scheduled to deliver a speech.

Meetings with the PiS Chairman

Two meetings are scheduled for today with the participation of PiS (Law and Justice party) Chairman Jarosław Kaczyński: at 4:00 PM in Białystok and at 7:30 PM in Olsztyn.

Earlier, at 10:30 AM, a press conference will be held by the Head of the PiS parliamentary club, Mariusz Błaszczak, PiS Vice-Chairman Przemysław Czarnek, and MPs Janusz Kowalski and Zbigniew Kuźmiuk.

Morawiecki Joins Mentzen

Also at 6:00 PM in Warsaw, another meeting will commence as part of the "Beer with Mentzen" series, during which the guest of the Confederation leader will be former Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.

Klimczak:

The Toxic, PiS-Aligned Entourage Around the President Is Setting Him Up to Fail

I think this is not President Nawrocki's idea. It's the doing of his entourage, his adjutants, who only think about how to create tension. A toxic, PiS-aligned circle has gathered around the president – because they are former PiS politicians, but still very much PiS in their mindset. They are setting him up to fail, and not just with such silly ideas as having those who are supposed to speak introduce themselves – stated Dariusz Klimczak in a conversation with Marcin Fijołek on “Graffiti” Polsat News.

08:03

Klimczak on the Cabinet Council:

Some Overstepped and Got a Rap on the Knuckles,

There were moments when sparks really flew, but those were just moments. It's also the case that at this Cabinet Council, for some unknown reason, there were so-called advisors – I don't know on what grounds several people were present. After our statements, they took the floor, making various statements and taking positions that we did not address; in fact, there was no such request from the president to address them, but some went too far and got a rap on the knuckles – stated Dariusz Klimczak on 'Graffiti' on Polsat News.

08:09

Klimczak to Żukowska: 'She Better Keep That Advice to Herself'

Ms. Żukowska's thinking is entirely defensive. It's a way of thinking that precisely prevents us from achieving the poll results we would like. People want to see the government as an offensive group of well-organized people, and that's what we are. I believe that if Chairwoman Żukowska were to advise us like that, she better keep that advice to herself – Dariusz Klimczak stated on 'Graffiti' Polsat News.

08:14

Klimczak:

Horała's High-Speed Rail Proposal is Like Russia's

We also want our high-speed rail to be the best, the fastest in Europe. He [Marcin Horała] is proposing high-speed rail like they have in Russia. 250 km/h, Moscow, St. Petersburg – they travel at 250 there and consider that to be high-speed rail. No, 250 km/h is something we will ensure on already existing lines, for example, the CMK (Central Rail Main Line) from Warsaw towards Lesser Poland and Silesia, and in two years, we will be traveling at 250 km/h there – stated Dariusz Klimczak on "Graffiti" for Polsat News.

09:16

Komorowski on the Proposal to Equate Banderite Symbols with Nazi and Communist Ones:

I Suspect There’s Some Russian Inspiration Here.

I would like to ask Mr. President, where were you? Even as the head of the IPN, all these years? Where were all the governments – left-wing, right-wing, centrist – for so many years, when no one put forward such an idea? So why now? I suspect there’s some Russian inspiration here, plain and simple – stated Bronisław Komorowski in "Morning Conversation on RMF FM", when asked about the president's proposal to equate Banderite symbols with Nazi and communist ones in the IPN Act.

Behind this kind of thinking lies either some antipathy rooted in historical emotions, or some inspiration from people with an anti-Ukrainian, pro-Russian orientation. Because why did no one advance this thesis for so many years, including the head of the IPN, Mr. Nawrocki, previously? – he continued.

09:16

Błaszczak Demands Consequences for Kierwiński:

Protection Withdrawn from Niedzielski Despite Ongoing Threats.

"We stand with Minister Adam Niedzielski. I thank the police officers for their swift reaction. The Minister of Interior and Administration, who made the decision to withdraw protection from Adam Niedzielski despite being aware that the former Minister of Health still receives threats, should face consequences," wrote Mariusz Błaszczak on platform X.

09:18

Says Komorowski on Niedzielski’s Assault:

National Emotions Are Easily Stirred, But Difficult to Control,

“Well, it’s a very unfortunate matter; I deeply sympathize with the minister. This is, however, a manifestation of the brutalization of political life in Poland and, well, a radicalization of people’s attitudes,” stated Bronisław Komorowski in “Poranna rozmowa w RMF FM” (Morning Talk on RMF FM).

“If he was attacked from the position of an even more ultra-radical national right, as a traitor of the nation, then I would say that this should be treated by his colleagues, mainly from Law and Justice, as not only confirmation that it’s very easy to stir up social emotions, very easy to stir up national emotions, but harder to control them. It’s like in the famous tale of the sorcerer’s apprentice. You can unleash evil forces – and here I also mean radical nationalism – and then you yourself become a victim of such extremist attitudes,” he continued.

09:19

Komorowski:

Too Many Vetoes Could Seriously Harm Nawrocki

Vetoes, you know, well, vetoes, I see that the president wants to create the impression that he is very tough, decisive, and will be vetoing. He seems to be vetoing a bit blindly, it strikes me. Somewhat on intuition, probably without a deeper examination of these bills. But at the same time, the chancellery emphasizes that he signs far more bills. This means he is aware that an excessive, shall we say, number of vetoes could, in the end, on balance, seriously harm him – stated Bronisław Komorowski in 'Poranna rozmowa w RMF FM'.

It seems that although President Nawrocki won the election, the next parliamentary elections are approaching. He himself will not be a candidate in them, but he will try, at least so it seems to me, to help, not harm, Law and Justice. And therefore, his excessive vetoes and the construction of his own presidential image as a radical – one who, at the expense of the state's interest (meaning vetoing indiscriminately), pursues certain party goals – will be detrimental, especially among moderately right-wing voters – he continued.

09:21

Nawrocki Faces an Opportunity: Komorowski on Harnessing Voter Frustration

However, in the immediate term, it seems to me that President Nawrocki faces an opportunity: to harness the far-reaching frustration of a significant portion of voters who are disappointed with the parliamentary-cabinet form of government, as they perceive it as an emanation of party interests. In my opinion, aversion to parties is growing in Poland, as is aversion to parliament. The question then is, who will politically harness this? And to what extent will the party backing of the candidate, and indeed of the president himself, allow him to do so – stated Bronisław Komorowski in "Poranna rozmowa w RMF FM" (Morning Talk on RMF FM).

One thing is certain: PiS will, so to speak, endorse every concept that could give them new points during the parliamentary elections. However, what they will do after the parliamentary elections, nobody knows. I believe, however, that party leaders – I'm speaking of PiS – will think in the following way: it's true that it's easier for us, for the right, to win presidential elections, because ultimately, from the opposing side, only Aleksander Kwaśniewski and I have won presidential elections once – he continued.

09:22

Komorowski on Assertive Policy Towards Ukraine:

Maintain Some Moderation.

Our goal today is for Ukraine to survive as an anti-Russian state, as an independent state. This is the most important goal for Poland, because otherwise, we risk having Russian troops or a Ukraine vassalized by Putin on the Bug river, and we prefer them to be on the Dnieper – stated Bronisław Komorowski in "Poranna rozmowa w RMF FM" (Morning Talk on RMF FM).

It’s madness, some thoughtlessness, or succumbing to purely electoral temptations, that today, when we should be doing everything for Ukraine to survive as an independent and Western-oriented state, all of a sudden such ideas emerge, which were not present before the war broke out – Komorowski continued.

Well, where were these people? Who inspired them today, during the war, at a time when rockets and bombs are falling on Kyiv and other cities, when women, children, and the elderly are dying, when thousands of Ukrainian soldiers are dying, to suddenly prioritize these kinds of problems as the most important? No, what is most important for us today – which doesn't mean we shouldn't discuss with Ukrainians or expect various solutions that are also beneficial for us – is that today we must exercise some restraint. As an additional example, exhumations in Volhynia took place during my time – said the former president.

09:30

Kierwiński Hails 'Efficient Police Operation' in Arrest of Niedzielski's Assailants

"I would like to sincerely thank the police for their very efficient action in this regard, because the perpetrators of this assault [on Adam Niedzielski] were already arrested yesterday. It took just a few hours – an exceptionally efficient police operation. I sincerely thank all police officers," Marcin Kierwiński said at a press conference.

09:33

Kierwiński on the Assault of Niedzielski:

There Will Be No Tolerance for Any Thuggery on Polish Streets.

– There will be no tolerance for any thuggery on Polish streets, there will be no tolerance for any lawbreaking. There will be, as Prime Minister Donald Tusk wrote yesterday, no mercy for those who sow hatred and behave in a thuggish, unacceptable manner. We will combat every such instance very firmly, said Marcin Kierwiński at a press conference.

10:07

Kierwiński:

Niedzielski Had SOP Protection Much Longer. He Didn't Apply For Police Security, Even Though He Could Have.

"Now, let's talk facts regarding the issue of Mr. Minister Niedzielski's protection. As you may recall, Minister Niedzielski ceased to be a minister on August 8th or 9th, 2023. Minister Niedzielski – and indeed, each of us who is granted either statutory protection or SOP (State Protection Service) protection based on a decision – sees this protection expire after concluding their public service. In my case, when I finished my first term at the Ministry of Interior and Administration (MSWiA), this protection was legally withdrawn after 30 days," said Marcin Kierwiński at a press conference.

"The Minister Used This Protection Only a Dozen or So Times"
"Minister Niedzielski was dismissed from his post at the beginning of August. He was entitled to SOP protection until the end of December 2023. However, SOP does not protect all former ministers or former prime ministers. Detailed analyses are carried out. As early as October 2023, the head of SOP requested the withdrawal of this protection. [...] The decision to remove SOP protection from Minister Niedzielski was made at the end of December 2023," he pointed out.

"From August 8th, which marked the end of his term, until the end of December [...], the minister used this protection only a dozen or so times. Indeed, he failed to use this protection; he would dismiss protection officers or simply not inform them at all. Five months – yet this protection was with Mr. Minister Niedzielski only a dozen or so times. You yourselves can judge this fact," he said.

"He Did Not Apply for Police Protection"
"Anyone among us who feels threatened can apply to the relevant Provincial Police Commander for police protection. After stepping down as minister, Mr. Minister did not apply to the Metropolitan Police Headquarters, which is responsible for Minister Niedzielski's place of residence and registration. No such application was received. [...] Furthermore, since the beginning of 2023, the minister had not reported any threats against himself to the police," he stated.

"Clumsily Attempting to Politicize This Issue Is, In My Opinion, Unbecoming"
"I deeply sympathize with Mr. Minister Niedzielski for what has happened to him. However, attempting to clumsily politicize this matter is, in my opinion, unbecoming, to put it quite frankly," he assessed.

"No politician [...] is entitled to lifelong SOP protection. [...] Mr. Minister Niedzielski had SOP protection significantly longer than the regulations stipulate, and he did not use this protection as he should have; I say this with full responsibility," Kierwiński concluded.

12:09

Morawiecki:

We Await Today's Council of Ministers' Results with Great Concern

We await with great concern the results of today's Council of Ministers meeting, which will adopt the draft state budget for 2026. Minister Domański will finally have to show his hand and present a broader picture of public finances. Until now, he has only treated us to individual puzzle pieces, such as the monthly execution of state budget revenues and expenditures. This, however, is definitely not enough to be able to assess the full condition of Polish finances – wrote Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki on social media.

12:16

"We Will Protect Poles, Now From the President." Motyka: "We Propose a Comprehensive Amendment."

We will protect Poles, now from the president. Unfortunately, President Nawrocki's liberum veto policy harms Poles, harms households, entrepreneurs, everyone who today wants cheaper energy and stable supplies. The President's recent decisions, consequently also blocking support for Poles, show that today the President prefers to play political ping-pong instead of addressing the problems that were created and inherited by his political camp, and by those who advise the President today – stated Miłosz Motyka at a press conference.

Therefore, in accordance with our declarations, our consistent actions, and taking care of the state budget, and most importantly, protecting the interests of Polish men and women, we have decided to extend support for individual consumers, for households, for the last quarter in terms of the maximum price. This price will not increase; it is 500 PLN per MWh for the last quarter. But more broadly, we also support, as part of a heating voucher, those consumers who today could be exposed to potential increases in heating prices – he continued.

We propose a broad change, a comprehensive amendment: freezing energy prices for the last quarter, and a heating voucher paid out in 2026 in two installments, based on a specific income threshold, consistent with the income threshold for housing benefits. The voucher will be paid out depending on heat consumption – he noted.

12:28

Hennig-Kloska:

Two of Three Wind Farm Law Components to Proceed Despite Presidential Veto

"We will protect Poles from the Presidential Palace, but as we announced, we will also support our country's economic development, especially in the energy sector, in defiance of the Presidential Palace," said Paulina Hennig-Kloska at a press conference.

"We intend to implement two of the three components of the wind farm law despite the President's veto, through non-statutory means, within other provisions and solutions, or by utilizing other regulations and laws that have already been introduced into Polish legislation," she stated.

13:03

Hennig-Kloska Cites Presidential Advisor's Past Stance, Questions Veto: 'What Arguments Made Her Advise Differently Today?'

“The entire industry, and indeed we, were surprised by the veto of the so-called small energy act, which involves deregulation related to the energy sector. Here, as we understand the reasoning, the main cause for vetoing this bill is the introduction of 'arbitrary actions' concerning RES installations up to 5 MW, meaning the exemption of this area from licensing,” Paulina Hennig-Kloska stated at a press conference.

“I would like to give the floor to the chief expert of the Presidential Palace, Ms. Wanda Buk, who spoke very specifically on this matter in April this year,” the Minister of Climate and Environment continued.

Subsequently, the following recording was played at the conference:

Hennig-Kloska continued: “Ms. Wanda Buk is considered the chief energy expert at the Presidential Palace. [...] She advocated for the government to change regulations, exempting RES installations up to 50 MW from licensing. Together with Minister Motyka, we [...] cautioned against such far-reaching changes, recognizing that they carried certain risks, and decided to increase this license-free threshold from 1 to 5 MW, which represents only 10% of the expert's proposal.”

“What explains such a drastic change in stance? What substantive arguments led her to advise the president differently today, which resulted in the veto of a very good deregulation act, awaited by the market, and meant to significantly accelerate the process of RES investments?” she asked.

"A Breakthrough Budget": Tusk - Poland to Take Another Great Civilizational Leap

This is a breakthrough budget. We often use phrases like 'record-breaking in many respects,' and we also don't hide that it's a difficult budget. This highly ambitious program, which will enable Poland to take another great civilizational leap, is one where we have truly taken very serious risks. We did not hesitate, we were not afraid to propose a budget structure where everything is truly stretched to its limits – 'to the max,' as we might colloquially say. And we realize that the execution of this budget will require precision and perfection, while the decisions underpinning it will demand courage and imagination – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk during a government meeting.

14:28

Says Tusk on Inflation:

Today, We Finally Bid Farewell to PiS-Era High Prices,

– These figures – I know, they are dry and sometimes they seem abstract to people. When we talk about inflation, it seems like it’s just ordinary statistics, a game of numbers – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk during a government meeting.

– High inflation has been the daily anguish of every Polish family, and it was that way for years. Today, we are finally saying goodbye to the PiS-era high prices. We have prepared the state budget, where inflation is one of the lowest in Europe, and we have achieved 3% inflation – he indicated.

– I emphasize with satisfaction that today we have low inflation, and with promising prospects for the future. This is not our last word – he added.

14:28

Tusk:

A Low Deficit Won't Protect Poland's Border

We are well aware, and indeed none of us have hidden the fact, that we are spending a lot of money. Let me tell you, no one will care that we have a high deficit – too high for me to be happy – if the war continues. We will not defend the Polish border with a low deficit; we will defend the Polish border with a modern, powerful army – Prime Minister Donald Tusk declared during a government meeting.

14:32

Tusk:

Global Leaders' Illusions That Five Meetings Will End the War Show They Don't Understand Russia or Putin

We know why we are doing this. A grim commentary on our decisions was, for example, last night in Ukraine, where the war is unfortunately gaining momentum. All the illusions of many world leaders that five meetings will be enough and the war will end only prove that they don't know Russia, they don't know Putin. This war is ongoing and will continue – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk during a government meeting.

That's why we didn't hesitate and will continue to act this way, whether someone likes it or not. And we will continue to arm Poland and prepare the Polish state for every eventuality, so that Poles can feel safe – he continued.

14:38

Tusk:

'It Was Enough to Entrust Power to Responsible People' to See Inflation Fall to 3% and Growth Rise Above 3%

– When we took power, Poland had zero growth. All it truly took was to assume leadership and entrust it to responsible individuals for inflation to fall to 3% and economic growth to rise above 3% – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk during a government meeting.

– To put it in plain language: Poland is now developing at the fastest pace in the EU, in stark contrast to the previous stagnation, and prices have stopped rising. […] Of course, everyone would want everything to be much cheaper, that's obvious, but Poles are already feeling this fundamental difference in their daily lives – he stated.

15:59

Domański on the 2026 Budget: ‘For Security, Investment, and Citizen Support’

– The budget presented for 2026 is a budget for security, investment, and, of course, citizen support. In terms of priorities, it is, in a way, a continuation of the budget we adopted for 2025. Because, let me remind you, a year ago we secured funds for key investments such as the CPK or a nuclear power plant. Last year, we also significantly increased defense spending – said Andrzej Domański at a press conference at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister.

16:03

Domański:

In 2026, We Will Allocate a Record 200 Billion PLN for Defense

– In the 2026 budget bill, security is also an absolute priority for us. That is why we are allocating a record 200 billion Polish złoty for defense. Poland must be ready not only militarily but also economically. We are investing in security and resilience – said Andrzej Domański at a press conference at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister.

16:09

Domański on 2026 Defense Spending: '4.8% of GDP – The Highest Among NATO States'

– This 200 billion zloty [in 2026], which, of course, includes the Ministry of National Defense's budget and the plan for the Armed Forces Support Fund, amounts to over 4.8% of GDP – the highest among all NATO member states – said Andrzej Domański at a press conference at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister.

16:15

Domański:

2026 Budget Secures Funds for Nuclear Power Plant, CPK, and Rail Investments

– Overall, investments next year will be a significant factor in economic growth. We project their growth rate will reach 8%, exceeding multi-year averages – said Andrzej Domański at a press conference at the Prime Minister's Chancellery.

– We have once again secured funds in the budget for key infrastructural investments, such as, for instance, the first Polish nuclear power plant. […] We have also secured funds in the budget for the construction of CPK and other important investments, for example, in the railway sector – he listed.

16:27

Domański:

2026 State Budget Deficit Projected at PLN 271.7 Billion, 6.5% of GDP

– The projected state budget revenues for 2026, as stated in the budget law, amount to PLN 647 billion, marking an increase of almost PLN 44 billion compared to the forecast for 2025 – said Andrzej Domański at a press conference at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister (KPRM).

– The state budget deficit for 2026 will amount to PLN 271.7 billion, which constitutes 6.5% of GDP – he indicated.

16:34

Domański:

State Public Debt-to-GDP Ratio to Hit 53.8% by 2026

– Assuming the full utilization of the budget deficit limit in 2026, the state public debt-to-GDP ratio will be 53.8%, and the net public debt (PDP) ratio will be 52.6%. Naturally, both these figures remain below the prudential threshold – said Andrzej Domański at a press conference at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister.

– As for the projected debt-to-GDP ratio according to the EU definition, it will amount to 66.8% by the end of 2026 – he added.

16:44

Kaczyński:

The Euro? Perhaps in 2197

You must remember that we also have no deadline, and we could adopt the euro, say, in 2197. But at the moment, they are really pushing us on it – stated Jarosław Kaczyński in Białystok.

16:46

Domański:

Public Sector Pay Raises Set at 3%

– Regarding pay raises in the public sector, they will remain at 3%, which is also a function of the inflation we forecast for 2026 – said Andrzej Domański at a press conference at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister.

16:48

Kaczyński:

Current Rulers Are Pro-Euro

Surely, those who currently govern Poland are supporters of the euro, and they make no secret of it, so that's yet another matter – Jarosław Kaczyński stated in Białystok.

16:53

Kaczyński:

We Can Go Further and Achieve an Even Better Result

This victory, immensely surprising for our opponents, was achieved thanks to the great effort of our candidate, but also thanks to the effort of many thousands of people. Also thanks to financial support. Great thanks. For the first time in a long while, we have a result that is equal to the one we achieved in the 2023 parliamentary elections – stated Jarosław Kaczyński in Białystok.

This is just the first step. We can go further and achieve an even better result, but this requires our immense effort, and this effort is needed. We were on the right path of developing Poland and strengthening the Polish army. Unfortunately, this is not being continued – the PiS chairman continued.

16:59

Kaczyński on Health Education: 'Children are Being Demoralized There' — A 'Grand Operation' to Make Us Poor and Stupid

Health education, please, ladies and gentlemen – they claim it teaches respect for the family. There, young people are being demoralized – no, not 'youth,' but children, because 'youth' here refers to simply ordinary children. This needs to be distinguished; these are not individuals approaching adulthood, or even those who are already adults in the oldest grades. These are simply ordinary children whose minds are being muddled, demoralized, and sexualized from an age far too early for such things to be normal. This is all part of a grand operation to make us both poor and stupid – Jarosław Kaczyński stated in Białystok.

17:02

Domański:

'I'd Be Shocked if the President Vetoed Bank Corporate Tax Hike'

"I would personally be shocked if the President vetoed the changes to the corporate income tax for the banking sector, which currently has very high profits," said Andrzej Domański at a press conference at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister.

"I would just like to remind you that this bill is composed of two components, because, on the one hand, we are significantly raising the corporate income tax for banks for 2026 and 2027, and then, in the interest of lending activity, to make loans significantly more accessible for Polish families, we are also changing certain components related to the tax on certain financial institutions," he continued.

17:09

Kaczyński:

We Must Seize Full Power. The President Acts Like a Battering Ram, But His Capabilities Are Limited

We must seize full power. Because the president acts like a battering ram, but his capabilities are nevertheless limited. Poland needs a good government. And a good government means one that will have strong support, and such a government – and believe me, because there might also be more than one supporter of Konfederacja here – can only be formed if it is a PiS government – stated Jarosław Kaczyński in Białystok.

17:10

Kaczyński:

Confederation Declares Readiness for Alliance with PO

And why? Because Confederation constantly declares – and we remained silent for a long time, not wanting to bring this up, but at this point, it's too much, and there are also these offensive statements – so it declares its readiness to ally with PO. And if it's ready to ally with PO, then all its declarations about patriotism, etc., are – I don't want to use rude terms – you can imagine what becomes of them – stated Jarosław Kaczyński in Białystok.

17:10

Kaczyński on Konfederacja: 'Rumors Are Circulating Recently That I Won't Repeat Here, As I'm Not Sure If They're True'

Rumors have been circulating recently—which I won't repeat here, as I'm not sure if they're true—and they are even more far-reaching. So, you must remember that the political force which has a program, has seasoned politicians (and indeed, such politicians are sitting right here), has people capable of governing the state, and is ready to adapt this program to the new situation (because this operation has now begun, as the situation in Poland has changed), is PiS, and only PiS is capable of ensuring that we return to the path we were on – stated Jarosław Kaczyński in Białystok.

17:14

Kaczyński:

'We Don't Want Such a Poland; Mr. Mentzen Does'

We are a state of social solidarity, and we have demonstrated this in practice. This cannot be, because it is not only unfair and morally reprehensible, but also extremely dangerous for society, if income disparities grow so wide, if a group with gigantic incomes emerges, while others, in turn, live in poverty. We do not want such a Poland; Mr. Mentzen is the one who wants such a Poland, and he wants to introduce fees for medical treatment, giving everyone a voucher for, I believe, 4,000, perhaps 4,500. If it's a young, healthy person, they might still be able to resell it to someone else, but if it's someone who is getting on in years, and at a certain age, everyone pretty much has some ailments, then that's no money at all – stated Jarosław Kaczyński in Białystok.

18:28

Morawiecki Defends Kaczyński at Mentzen's Event:

After what you did, I shouldn't be here at all. You should apologize.

"Thank you very much for your courage. I know it's not so easy in your party to be able to go out for a beer without the chairman's consent. So, very sincerely, genuinely, I thank you," said Sławomir Mentzen at the beginning of the Warsaw meeting of the "Beer with Mentzen" tour, addressing Mateusz Morawiecki.

"After what the MP did, I shouldn't be here at all, because he absolutely unacceptably attacked Chairman Jarosław Kaczyński, and this is something that should truly be unacceptable. In fact, you should apologize, but I know you probably won't," replied the former prime minister.

18:38

Morawiecki to Mentzen: 'PiS, PO – One Evil' Is a Complete Misunderstanding and an Extreme Falsehood

"There is a fundamental difference between Jarosław Kaczyński and Donald Tusk. Yes, since 2005, Poland has indeed largely been either Kaczyński's or Tusk's Poland. But these are two different worlds, two completely different worlds, like day and night," said Mateusz Morawiecki during a meeting with Sławomir Mentzen.

"Saying 'PiS, PO – both are the same evil' is a complete misunderstanding. It is an extreme falsehood and simply total manipulation," he pointed out.

18:41

Morawiecki to Mentzen: Jarosław Kaczyński is the Sigma of Polish Politics

"Given the circumstances I find myself in, I want to start with this. Because not only do I have immense respect for Mr. Chairman, but he is a man who, for the past decades, always with Poland in his heart, fought to maintain sovereignty, to ensure Poland's development was as swift as possible," Mateusz Morawiecki said during a meeting with Sławomir Mentzen.

"I'll be brief, because I know that meetings like these favor concise statements: Jarosław Kaczyński is the sigma of Polish politics," he emphasized.

Morawiecki at Mentzen's: I Taxed International Corporations That Were Making Off with Our Money

– You, Mr. MP, even criticized the introduction of special reporting rules for international corporations, calling it “barbarism.” But I beg your pardon, I taxed international corporations that were making off with the cash from here, and now that money is working for you – said Mateusz Morawiecki during a meeting with Sławomir Mentzen.

Mentzen to Morawiecki: Your Governments Led to Entrepreneurs and People Having Less Money, While the State Had More to Spend on Wasteful Spending

– Of course, money is needed, but it's good for it to be in private hands. Your policy, however, has led to the state accumulating that money. If state budget revenues have doubled, it means you took that money from somewhere, – said Sławomir Mentzen during a meeting with Mateusz Morawiecki.

– Even the design of such a bank tax was structured so that banks would primarily buy Treasury bonds, rather than granting loans to private entrepreneurs. This led to a crowding-out effect – he continued.

According to him: – Your governments precisely aimed for entrepreneurs and people to have less money, while the state had more money, and could then spend it on wasteful spending.

Morawiecki to Mentzen: 'I Am For Social Solidarity, Not Social Darwinism'

– I am for social solidarity, not social Darwinism – stated Mateusz Morawiecki at the "Beer with Mentzen" event in Warsaw.

– Then we certainly won't agree here, because I would like people to be able to live off their own money that they earned – replied Sławomir Mentzen.

– Would you like there to be social Darwinism? What you are proposing is such a system – retorted Morawiecki.

– I would like everyone to sustain themselves from the fruits of their labor. For people to be able to work, develop, and build careers. And as soon as you see money, your eyes light up and you say: "they're sitting on bags of money, we can take it from them and pay for it" – said the leader of Nowa Nadzieja.

– You propose to leave it to the banks – riposted Morawiecki.

Kaczyński:

'The Second Stage Awaits.' Calls for Offensive by Entire Patriotic Camp

Indeed, the second stage lies ahead of us. The first was incredibly difficult; our opponents were convinced they would win, that they had it in the bag. Our candidate, full of energy and remarkable strength, was, after all, not a very well-known person; at the same time, he was, and still is, new to politics, and consequently, many questioned whether he was the one who could win. It turned out that he was indeed the one who could win – stated Jarosław Kaczyński in Olsztyn.

The offensive cannot be just the offensive of one man, even if that man is the President of the Republic of Poland. It must be an offensive of our entire formation, of the entire patriotic camp – he continued.

Kaczyński on Siemens Trains:

We Don’t Produce Such Carriages Here, But They Do in Germany.

Such carriages [that travel 350 km/h] are not produced here, but they are produced in Germany. And therefore, it's clear what this is about. It's about them, about Siemens trains, and not, for example, Pesa's, because we have several manufacturing plants in Poland – stated Jarosław Kaczyński in Olsztyn.

Here, it's probably once again about making sure that those who are, let's say, higher than Mr. Tusk in the hierarchy, and before whom he, after all, [gesture from the photo], would not lose out on these investments of ours – he continued.

Kaczyński:

'I Only Pity Gawłowski. They Did More Than Him, All Their Cases Were Dismissed, and He Got 5 Years'

There's only one person who deserves sympathy. I don't know if you feel sorry for him, but I do, for Gawłowski. Because they did more than him, and all their cases were dismissed. And he got 5 years, still subject to appeal – stated Jarosław Kaczyński in Olsztyn.

Kaczyński:

'We Must Also Court Voters Who Backed Our Opponents'

We must also court those who voted for them. A certain segment of them certainly cannot be convinced, because that hatred, which one might say was instilled by them, is so strong that it will take years and calm action – our action – to somehow undo it. However, there are those who are already wavering today, – stated Jarosław Kaczyński in Olsztyn.

Kaczyński:

Trump Said One Phenomenal Thing

Trump is exactly as everyone sees him. He says various things, he is incredibly energetic. I am 3 years younger than him, and I envy him. Not his fortune, but his condition. However, he said one phenomenal thing. That there are two sexes. Because this is another madness that currently prevails in the world and is now appearing in Poland as well – stated Jarosław Kaczyński in Olsztyn.
