Meanwhile, at 1:00 PM at the Presidential Palace, President Karol Nawrocki will meet with the Canadian Prime Minister.

At 4:00 PM in Bydgoszcz, Law and Justice (PiS) leader Jarosław Kaczyński will meet with residents of Bydgoszcz, and at 7:00 PM, with residents of Gdańsk.

Przydacz:

European Leaders Came as a Show of Support for Zelensky

"These were not wide-ranging talks where everyone sat down to discuss the future. Instead, these were discussions at the invitation of President Trump; President Zelensky arrived in Washington. The entire group of European leaders came there as a show of support for President Zelensky," stated Marcin Przydacz on TVN24's "Rozmowa Piaseckiego."

Przydacz:

Still No Great Light in the Tunnel for a Peace Solution

The Polish position is very well known, and Karol Nawrocki's position is very well known. We are not proponents of sending Polish troops to war, but of course, we can participate in various forms of support for such a future mission. The only question is, what would this future mission be defending, what peace? Because for now, I don't see any great light in the tunnel regarding a peace solution – stated Marcin Przydacz on TVN24's 'Piasecki's Conversation'.

Przydacz:

I Received a Call from the MFA on Sunday Around 8 PM, When All Leaders Were Already Over the Atlantic, Flying to Washington

If Marcin Bosacki says that, he is not telling the truth, and unfortunately, I say this with sadness. I did indeed speak with Ambassador Najder, and I also have the impression that he is being put in a very uncomfortable position by Mr. Bosacki, somewhat exploiting Mr. Najder's good faith and competence – stated Marcin Przydacz on TVN24's "Piasecki's Conversation."

Actually, I spoke with the ambassador several times. Immediately after the phone call on Saturday morning, I called Ambassador Najder and briefed him on what the discussion with President Trump entailed. The MFA had full knowledge here, so what happened next? After the conversation with President Trump, there was a discussion among European leaders, during which – as I understand, I was not a witness to it – it was debated who should fly to Washington – he continued.

That was, I believe, around 9 AM. Did anyone call the Presidential Palace at 10 AM with a recommendation that he should go? At 11, 12, perhaps throughout Saturday, did anyone call? No, no one called. I'll tell you when I received the call from the MFA: on Sunday, somewhere around 8 PM, when all the leaders were already over the Atlantic, flying to Washington – he added.

Przydacz:

If Tusk Can't Talk to Americans, We'll Do It for Poland

I can assure you that I did not send any dossier, any photographs, or any statements by Donald Tusk. He brewed his own trouble, unfortunately at the expense of the Polish state's security. If Donald Tusk cannot talk to the Americans, we will, of course, try to do it for Poland – stated Marcin Przydacz on TVN24's 'Piasecki's Interview'.

08:07

Przydacz:

Nawrocki-Tusk Meeting Before September 3 Not Ruled Out

It is not ruled out [a meeting between President Nawrocki and Prime Minister Tusk before the President's departure for Washington]. I think that's enough now. The President met with Prime Minister Tusk; the Prime Minister came to the Palace and they did indeed talk, – stated Marcin Przydacz on TVN24's "Rozmowa Piaseckiego."

I would say there's a greater chance of it happening than not, – he continued.

Bielan:

Preparations for Nawrocki-Trump Talks Intensify as I Depart for Washington Soon

“Preparations [for Karol Nawrocki’s meeting with Donald Trump] are underway. Minister Marcin Przydacz was in Washington last week, and a preparatory team for technical matters probably already landed in Washington today. I am also flying to Washington in a few hours,” Adam Bielan said on Polskie Radio Program 1’s “Sygnały dnia.”

“I am not an official of the Chancellery of the President, although, of course, I am in contact with both the President and his ministers. But we are primarily interested in bilateral relations with the Americans,” he continued.

As he pointed out: “At the turn of September and October, the Pentagon will publish a document regarding the reduction of American troop numbers on the European continent. We are striving to ensure that this reduction in American presence affects us to the least possible extent. Trade relations are also a factor.”

Mroczek on Drone Incident in Lublin Region: 'Nothing Will Be Classified'

An investigation is being conducted in this matter [the drone incident in the Lublin region] by the prosecutor's office, in cooperation with other services. And the prosecutor, it's clear, is communicating well with the public, showing what actions have been taken and what actions will be taken. Nothing will be classified in this matter. This means we will learn all the circumstances of this incident. Simply, a bit more time is still needed in this matter to carry out the necessary actions – stated Czesław Mroczek in 'Poranna Rozmowa' (Morning Talk) on RMF FM.

I was informed [of the matter] before 6 AM, but all actions had already been carried out many hours earlier, and the services were exchanging information among themselves – he continued.

[…] The reports came before 2 AM. At this moment, I don't have a paper in front of me with the exact dates, I don't remember the exact dates, but regarding those two reports, the police, of course, intervened in this matter… – concluded Czesław Mroczek.

09:20

Mroczek on the Causes of Assaults on Polish Officers at the Polish-Belarusian Border:

This Is Why Frustration Mounts and Soldiers and Officers Are Attacked.

"Regarding the number of illegal crossing attempts, it has remained at a fairly high level in recent months. However, this aggression is also linked to the fact that very few of those attempting manage to cross this [Polish-Belarusian] border," – stated Czesław Mroczek in "Poranna rozmowa" on RMF FM.

"Our detection rate – our success in preventing crossings – is at 90, over 90%, even 95%. So, if we have 150 daily attempts to cross the border, which are the recent figures, then very few, only individual people, manage to cross. Roughly five to ten, as I understand, if I'm calculating that 5-10% correctly. I'm saying that these individuals are stopped at the first line, directly at the border, but then there's a second line where police officers are also working. That's why we have such a high detection rate, and that's why frustration is growing and soldiers and officers are being attacked. We are handling this situation increasingly well," – he continued.

"Because last year we managed to significantly improve the effectiveness of deterrence on this section of our border in Podlaskie Voivodeship, these migrants moved north and crossed the Lithuanian and Latvian borders in larger numbers. And that's why, among other things, we reintroduced controls [...]. Today in Białystok, together with Deputy Minister Maciej Duszczyk, we are meeting with our counterparts, the Deputy Ministers of Internal Affairs of Lithuania and Latvia, and we will jointly consider what further actions to take to simply extinguish this route," – concluded Mroczek.

09:27

Bielan:

I Don't Remember Poles Rating the Government and Prime Minister So Poorly

– These ["speeding up the reckoning with PiS"] are quite predictable moves by Donald Tusk, who lost the presidential elections. […] This "speeding up accountability" is a result of Civic Platform's (PO) failures in presidential elections and a very significant crisis within the current coalition, a polling crisis – the Prime Minister's lowest ratings in years. I don't recall Poles ever rating the government and the Prime Minister himself so poorly – said Adam Bielan on Polish Radio 1's "Sygnały dnia."

– This is only the first 1.5 years, the first half of the term, and Tusk recently carried out a cabinet reshuffle which was supposed to help boost ratings. Nothing of the sort happened – he stated.

– This is an attempt to divert Poles' attention from real problems, such as rising living costs and huge problems in the healthcare system. […] In line with the old adage, […] if there's no bread, one must organize circuses – he assessed.

09:32

Bielan:

'I am convinced that the charges against Błaszczak will not stand in court.'

– The public should have known about such documents, already outdated thanks to the PiS government. Minister Błaszczak had every right to reveal them. […] This prosecutor, who is pressing these charges, is extremely politicized. A crime report has been filed against him by Minister Cenckiewicz – Adam Bielan said on PR1’s "Sygnały dnia."

He added: – I am convinced that these charges against Minister Błaszczak and his associates will not stand up in court.

"A Political Operation": Mroczek on Migration at the Polish-German Border

It was a political operation, after all. PiS, Chairman Kaczyński, has been exploiting migration since 2015. Mr. Bąkiewicz and this entire movement were another installment, an attempt, as it were, to raise emotions around migration, and to some extent, it was successful, one must admit. But these individuals certainly weren't performing any duties related to ensuring border security; they only caused confusion at the beginning – stated Czesław Mroczek in 'Poranna rozmowa' on RMF FM.

Mr. Bąkiewicz faced charges […]. All of Poland saw the videos they recorded, showing him insulting officers of the Border Guard and military police. But quite quickly… two cases, if I recall correctly, we handed over – the Border Guard handed over to the prosecutor's office – and quite quickly, because we also clearly communicated that there would be no tolerance for committing crimes, impersonating an officer, and especially insulting or obstructing their work – he continued.

Mr. Bąkiewicz, Matecki, and many others tried to amplify this issue to make migration the main topic in politics again. They used—that is, they sowed hatred and disinformation, and we repeatedly exposed Mr. Matecki's blatant lies, such as, for instance, with that group of Poles whom he tried to portray as migrants – Mroczek concluded.

09:43

Mroczek on the deportation of 63 individuals after Max Korzh's concert at Warsaw's National Stadium:

Only those with confirmed criminal offenses.

These 63 individuals, mentioned by the Prime Minister, following that concert at the National Stadium, are people who committed criminal offenses by violating mass event regulations, engaging in a brawl with security personnel on the stadium grounds, as well as those who committed misdemeanors there – stated Czesław Mroczek in 'Poranna rozmowa' on RMF FM, when asked about the deportation of 63 individuals after Max Korzh's concert at the National Stadium in Warsaw, in connection with these individuals' alleged commission of prohibited acts.

Of course, I don't recall every single one of these cases; besides, the Border Guard is currently handling them and has not yet concluded all matters. However, regarding deportation, it only applies to those with a confirmed commission of a criminal offense […]. Here, the most severe penalty in this matter for these individuals is a ban on entry into the Schengen Area, as that is a direct consequence of this case – he continued.

10:09

Kierwiński:

We Will Witness Increased Migratory Pressure in Coming Days, Weeks

It appears that the situation at the borders, both eastern and western, is under control. It seems very, very calm, perhaps calmer than a few weeks ago. However, as Minister Mroczek and I discussed this morning, we are seeing that the more impenetrable we make the Polish-Lithuanian border and the more illegal migrants we apprehend there, the more Lukashenka's services seem to be deciding to intensify their pressure on the original route, namely the Belarusian one – stated Marcin Kierwiński during a briefing at the Ministry of Interior and Administration (MSWiA).

These figures concerning the number of attempts to breach our border—over 300 people today, to my knowledge—indicate that this pressure is increasing. It somewhat appears that Lukashenka and Russian services, seeing that we are gradually shutting down the migrant smuggling systems into the EU, thanks to these controls at the Lithuanian and German borders, are reverting to this original route – continued the head of the MSWiA.

Certainly, in the coming days and weeks, we will witness increased migratory pressure. The autumn period is approaching, which has always been conducive to a greater intensity of illegal migration attempts orchestrated by Russian and Belarusian services – Kierwiński emphasized.

Morawiecki:

Tusk Worse Than a Virus, Leading Poles Back to Poverty and Shopping on Tab

Don't believe this propaganda message from the ruling party concerning the economy. The dire state of the budget isn't everything. Are you aware that in the first half of this year, employers intend to implement mass layoffs of over 80,000 people? Suffice it to say that this is over 2.5 times more than in the memorable year 2020, when the anti-crisis shields saved millions of jobs and hundreds of thousands of entrepreneurs from bankruptcy – stated Mateusz Morawiecki in a recording published on social media.

They utterly neglect managing the state, the economy, finances, or the budget. Tusk is worse than a virus. He's leading Poles to poverty and back to shopping on tab – said the former Prime Minister.

Nawrocki Announces Three More Vetoes

Article updated

“Last time, I signed 21 bills and vetoed one. Today, I am also informing you that five more bills proposed by the parliamentary majority have been signed. Three bills have been vetoed,” said President Karol Nawrocki during a statement to the media.

“The bills I decided not to sign include, first and foremost, the National Tax Code Act. This act contains one very good deregulatory solution that should certainly be introduced, but I do not agree to reduce penalties for fiscal offenses given the dramatic situation of Polish public finances,” he continued.

“Those solutions that are good for Poland will be met with my openness, with the openness of my Chancellery […] and I take full responsibility for them,” he noted. He added that among the signed bills were two concerning the Teachers' Charter, one on banking law, and one on improving the storage of natural fertilizers.

Nawrocki Unveils Bill: Longer Citizenship Process and 'Stop Banderism'

– I did not sign the bill on assistance for citizens of Ukraine, while simultaneously proposing my own draft law and today encouraging the government and all political circles in the Polish parliament to work hard over the next 2 weeks on a new form of this legislation, – President Karol Nawrocki said during a statement to the media.

‘Citizenship Granting Process Should Be Extended, Penalties for Illegal Border Crossing Increased’
– In this draft law, I also propose new solutions regarding the granting of citizenship not only to guests from Ukraine, but also to guests from other regions of the world who come to Poland. [...] I believe that the process of granting citizenship – which is a presidential prerogative – should be extended from 3 to 10 years. And such a proposal will be included in this draft law, – he stated.

– There will also be a proposal to increase the penalty for illegal crossing of the Polish border – this should be 5 years, – he pointed out.

‘Stop Banderism’
– There is also a certain component in this draft law, which is fundamental for Poles and very important – to eliminate Russian propaganda and set Polish-Ukrainian relations on genuine partnership and mutual respect, mutual sensitivity, I believe that we should include an unambiguous slogan 'stop Banderism' in this draft law and in the penal code equate the Bandera symbol with symbols corresponding to German National Socialism [...], Soviet communism, and also make corrections to the IPN Act regarding the crimes of OUN-UPA, – the president emphasized.

11:42

Szefernaker:

We Call for This Law to Be Adopted by Parliament by the End of September

Current legal provisions [concerning aid to Ukrainian citizens] are in effect until the end of September. Therefore, we appeal for this law to be adopted by the Polish parliament by the end of September. The President, if it is adopted in the form we have prepared, will be able to sign this law immediately. We want to cooperate, to talk across divisions, so that this law is adopted by parliament by the end of September – Paweł Szefernaker stated at a press briefing.

‘Government, You Have the Means to Cut Spending Even Where It's Unjustified.’ Bogucki on the President’s Message.

The President, by submitting the draft of this bill and vetoing the one proposed by the government, is saying: Government, you have the opportunity to cut spending even where it's unjustified. So, the President's actions are – one could say – assertive, both through tightening the tax system and by reducing these unjustified budgetary burdens – stated Zbigniew Bogucki at a press briefing.

12:05

Tusk:

Polish-Canadian Ties Set for Strategic Partnership Upgrade

"Today, we have effectively accelerated the process of deepening strategic cooperation. Soon, we will elevate our Polish-Canadian relations to the level of a strategic partnership. Both the Prime Minister and I expressed our intention to accelerate this process even further," stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk during a meeting with the Prime Minister of Canada.

12:10

Tusk:

Poland Does Not Intend to Send Soldiers to Ukraine, But Will Be Responsible for Logistical Aid Organization

"Today, we can both confirm the continued readiness of Canada, Poland, and our European partners to provide further assistance to Ukraine in its defense against aggression and aid after the war ends, and we will cooperate very closely with Canada here," stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk during a meeting with the Prime Minister of Canada.

"I confirmed that while Poland does not intend to send soldiers on a mission to Ukraine after the war ends, it is Poland that will be responsible for the logistical organization of aid for Ukraine, as well as for the protection of the European-Russian and European-Belarusian borders," he continued.

12:50

New Presidential Spot Explains Vetoes:

The Tusk Government’s Law on Aid to Ukrainian Citizens Goes a Step Too Far.

When Russia attacked Ukraine, Poles opened their hearts and welcomed the most refugees of all European countries. We also provided weapons to keep the advancing Russian troops as far away from our borders as possible. However, Donald Tusk's government's law on aid to Ukrainian citizens goes a step too far, granting Ukrainian refugees greater privileges in Poland than the citizens of our own country. That's why it's time to implement President Karol Nawrocki's 'Poland and Poles first' principle – says the narrator in the new clip, published on Karol Nawrocki's social media.

While the government promised during the campaign to limit 800+ benefits for Ukrainian refugees, today it advocates for expanding access to this benefit. It also proposes free healthcare for non-working refugees from Ukraine, but President Karol Nawrocki does not consent to preferential access for citizens of other countries to our social systems. This law must be amended, which is why the president is proposing his own bill ensuring access to social benefits exclusively for Ukrainian citizens who are working and paying contributions in Poland, and prohibiting the promotion of Banderism ideology. Because Poland first, Poles first – the narrator continues.

Kaleta Reminds Tusk of Old Post: 'I Don't Believe He Could Have Lied in the Campaign'

We are waiting for such a post on X from Prime Minister Tusk. I don't believe he could have lied in the presidential campaign – wrote Sebastian Kaleta on social media.

Gawkowski Slams President: 'I Cannot Imagine a Better Gift for Putin's Troops'

— Presidential vetoes slash blindly! Karol Nawrocki, by his decision, switches off the Internet for Ukraine, because de facto this is what his decision regarding the act on assistance to citizens of Ukraine means — wrote Krzysztof Gawkowski on platform X.

— This is the end of Starlink internet, which Poland provides to war-torn Ukraine. It is also the end of support for storing Ukrainian administration data in a safe place. I cannot imagine a better gift for Putin's troops than cutting Ukraine off from the internet, which the President has just decided — stated the Deputy Prime Minister.

— Mr. President – you must stop blindly striking blows at the government in the name of political struggle. You are harming people who are fighting for their independence and at the same time helping Russia — he pointed out.

— Some will say 'Shame,' others 'Betrayal of a neighbor!' — he concluded.

13:46

Błaszczak:

President's 'Excellent Decision.' Ruling Coalition Fails to Deliver, As Usual

President Karol Nawrocki made a very good decision by vetoing the bill concerning privileges in social and health policy for Ukrainians residing in Poland. The ruling coalition had promised to limit the 800+ benefit for Ukrainian citizens already at the beginning of the year. As usual, they did not keep their word, and subsequently ignored the PiS parliamentary club's bill on this matter – Mariusz Błaszczak wrote on social media.

The presidential amendment proposal also includes our proposals – in addition to limiting the 800+ benefit for Ukrainians, it also includes the absence of preferential solutions in healthcare, extending the necessary period of stay on the territory of the Republic of Poland to obtain citizenship, as well as a ban on promoting Banderism – emphasized the head of the PiS parliamentary club.

Zgorzelski Tweets on Talks with 'Liberal Confederation.' The Response: 'We Don't Want Anything from Avon'

Two years in politics is simply an epoch. I believe our coalition should earn another term, and if we lack votes, we should talk with the liberal part of Confederation. This demonstrates a broad perspective on possible political scenarios – Piotr Zgorzelski wrote on social media.

Confederation has already responded to this post.

Flawed Decision: 'We Could Always Count on President Duda,' Says Kosiniak-Kamysz on Presidential Veto

– As for the bill concerning aid for fighting Ukraine – because this bill doesn't boil down to 800 plus (on this matter, I probably have an even more radical opinion than the President) – but rather it comes down to helping those who are also fighting for Polish security, meaning those fighting on the front lines and weakening Russia every day – said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz at a press conference.

– Ukrainian soldiers, who for three years have endured and halted the Russian offensive, are weakening Russia every day and giving Poland and NATO a chance to build such a potential that it will never be profitable to attack. And you either help those who halt Russia every day, or you hinder them. This presidential decision obstructs the possibility of defense, and also of ensuring Poland's security – he assessed.

He reiterated: – This is not at all about 800 plus, because we could make an even more radical decision on that. But it's about aid for fighting Ukraine, where the issue of Polish security is at stake. Yielding here to the emotions of politicians like Mr. Braun makes no sense; it's a path to nowhere.

– The perspective of a president is different from that of a presidential candidate, or at least it should be. We could always count on President Duda for understanding and support. He in no way blocked what the previous government did in supporting Ukraine, nor what our government is doing – he continued.

– A flawed decision. Again, the President's associates are misleading him, likely by providing only a snippet of this bill concerning social transfers, while forgetting about the essence of this action. We will try to rectify this – he indicated.

16:20

Kosiniak-Kamysz:

President's Decisions Serve His Political Camp, Not the Common Good

– It is clear that the President’s decisions are dictated not by a concern for the common good – that is, not by true care for the common good, which should characterize politics, particularly when practiced by the head of state – but rather by safeguarding the interests of the political environment from which the President originates, or those he wishes to create, such as Mr. Braun and his Konfederacja Korony Polskiej (Confederation of the Polish Crown), because they reacted most enthusiastically to this decision – said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz at a press conference.

16:28

"This Will Be the Highest Security Budget in History": Kosiniak-Kamysz on Next Year's Spending Plan

– I can assure you that the budget will grow; it will be the highest in history, and this in itself represents a great commitment to all taxpayers, whom I would like to sincerely thank, because it is thanks to your taxes that the transformation and modernization of the Polish army are possible, as well as the building of civil defense potential – said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz at a press conference.

– One thing is already certain – this will be the highest security budget in history. Much higher than in 2022, I believe more than twice as high. Much higher than in 2023 – he stated.

16:55

Kaczyński:

They Want to Force the Euro on Us at Any Cost. That's Why the NBP Chief is Under Attack.

"They want to force the euro on us here at all costs. The attack on the President of the National Bank of Poland is precisely for that purpose: to be able to act against the Constitution, because they know they won't change the Constitution, and the zloty is – one might say – a constitutional currency. So, they want to do it by some other method, as they do in other instances, but for that, the NBP President is needed," Jarosław Kaczyński stated in Bydgoszcz.

17:05

Kaczyński:

If Nowacka Says Polish Fascists Built Auschwitz, What More Can Be Said?

If the current Minister of Education, Ms. Barbara Nowacka, says that Polish fascists built Auschwitz, then what more can be said? What more can be said? If Ms. Radziejowska, who effectively ran a part of the Pilecki Institute located in Berlin, is dismissed and replaced by Ms. Kieliszek, who – as she herself claims – is of 'universal belonging,' stating 'my belonging is to humanity,' meaning she does not belong to the Polish nation, and is closely associated with that circle whose central figure is still Adam Michnik – their attachment to Poland and patriotism, such as it is, well, I suppose you know – stated Jarosław Kaczyński in Bydgoszcz.

17:09

Kaczyński:

'An Attack Under the Rainbow Flag Is Underway in Poland'

The third war is this attack under the rainbow flag. The attack under the rainbow flag is ongoing in Poland. Of course, concerning all these matters I have spoken of, internal factors play a certain role, but all these things are essentially being pushed from the West. If we in Poland, for example, said 'enough of the sexualization of children' and firmly implemented this, prohibited the demoralization of children and youth, and especially younger adolescents, then there would undoubtedly be an outcry across Europe, and this is terribly demoralizing – stated Jarosław Kaczyński in Bydgoszcz.

17:12

Kaczyński:

'We Face a Gigantic Public Finance Crisis'

We are facing a gigantic crisis in public finances. There was a similar crisis during their first term in government. We managed to overcome it, and today that crisis is back, even bigger. And this, naturally, limits spending, leading them to make cuts in various areas – stated Jarosław Kaczyński in Bydgoszcz.

17:15

Kaczyński:

This Government is Good for Nothing

This government is good for nothing, and this leads to broader conclusions. If we ask what Poland needs to avert all these dangers – and they can be averted – to reopen before us the path we had been taking, a difficult path where some mistakes were made, but generally leading us to a good, a very good position in Europe, and such a position that will concern every Polish family, at least one that wants to work and is not pathological. The first change, the first step, is the establishment of a good government in Poland – Jarosław Kaczyński stated in Bydgoszcz.

17:17

Kaczyński:

A New Constitution is Needed

"We must strive to create a new governing arrangement. We have created the first very serious beachhead – perhaps more than a beachhead – an opening for an offensive, and that offensive is ongoing. We have a president who pushes ahead," Jarosław Kaczyński stated in Bydgoszcz.

"A new Constitution is needed, which will protect us from all the events I haven't mentioned here," he continued.

17:19

Kaczyński Suggests Żurek Needs 'A Little Treatment'

This Żurek fellow is active, and I don't know where he ought to end up. Should it be behind bars, like these ones? But there are signs, relating to his statements and behavior, which would suggest that perhaps some gentler 'bars' would be needed first, in other institutions? Maybe he would need a little treatment – stated Jarosław Kaczyński in Bydgoszcz.

17:24

Kaczyński on Civic Platform:

They Stepped Into SLD's Shoes.

Later it turned out that they are simply an ordinary post-communist party; they simply stepped into SLD's shoes. I would very much like for this not to be repeated in Poland, and that is what I had to say – stated Jarosław Kaczyński in Bydgoszcz.

18:25

Cieszyński on Starlinks: 'I Don't Believe Anyone Will Dare to Turn Them Off Now'

All solutions that provide rational support will be included in the presidential draft bill. It can be quickly passed, and the matter will be resolved – Janusz Cieszyński wrote on social media.

When the war broke out and quick action was needed, despite the absence of a special law, Starlinks were successfully launched. I don't believe anyone will dare to turn them off now – he added.

18:33

Veto Doesn't Cut Off Starlink; Presidential Bill Maintains Connectivity Funding. Bogucki Responds to Gawkowski

– Mr. Deputy Prime Minister, you should be fighting manipulation and disinformation online, not creating it – wrote Zbigniew Bogucki on X, responding to Krzysztof Gawkowski's post.

– The President's veto DOES NOT cut off Starlink internet for Ukraine, because the costs of this connectivity are financed based on the provisions of the currently binding law, and the bill submitted to the Sejm by the President of Poland maintains this state of affairs. It is enough to efficiently process this presidential initiative in the Polish parliament in September – stated the head of President Nawrocki's chancellery.

– The situation is analogous when it comes to support for storing Ukrainian administration's data in a secure location – he added.

As Bogucki stated: – You had a long, almost year and a half, to present a law that would be fair primarily from the perspective of Poles, but also for those Ukrainians who honestly participate in the Polish socio-economic system. You failed to do this, as with many other things, despite making promises. That is why the President of Poland is now stepping in for you.

– To paraphrase your post, it's appropriate to say: I cannot imagine a better gift for Putin than playing into Russian disinformation, with the aim of dividing Poles and Ukrainians. Mr. Deputy Prime Minister – you must stop blindly striking at the President of Poland in the name of political struggle. You are scaring people who are fighting for their independence and simultaneously helping Russia. If not for your post, the machinery of Russian mendacious propaganda and disinformation in this regard would not have started – he concluded.

Mentzen:

If Ukraine Wants Starlink, Let Them Pay For It Themselves

"If Ukraine wants Starlink, let them pay for it themselves. I see no reason why we should pay for it. Polish taxpayers' money should go to the needs of Poles!" – wrote Sławomir Mentzen on social media.

20:03

Kaczyński:

Many See the Road to Government as a Sunny Highway, But the Truth is Much More Complicated

"Poland needs a good government. And many people in Poland today seem to think that the path to this government is like a highway on a beautiful sunny day: dry, not too many cars, just press the accelerator and drive, watching out for speed cameras. But the truth is unfortunately much more complicated," said Jarosław Kaczyński in Gdańsk.

20:07

Kaczyński:

Repeating Presidential Election Results Will Be Difficult – And I Fear We'll Need That Many Votes to Win

– Politics has its own dynamics, and repeating that result we had in the presidential elections, over 10.5 million votes, is truly a very difficult undertaking. And I fear that many votes will be needed to win – said Jarosław Kaczyński in Gdańsk.

20:17

Kaczyński:

Braun's Rhetoric Cuts Us Off from the West; No US Alliance Possible with His Views

"I haven't heard Braun say that [that he is ready to form a government together with PO], but Braun simultaneously says various things that completely cut us off from the West. You must realize that with his rhetoric, we could not be in the West in an alliance with the United States, which is absolutely fundamental for our security," – Jarosław Kaczyński said in Gdańsk.

20:28

Kaczyński:

Our Candidate Signed Mentzen's Often Debatable Points. He Signed, and He's Fulfilling It.

– We presented our “Polish Declaration” and asked for it to be signed. Our presidential candidate signed for Mr. Mentzen those, let's say, sometimes quite debatable points of his. He signed them, and today he is fulfilling that commitment – said Jarosław Kaczyński in Gdańsk.

– He signed that he would not sign any tax increases, and today we all heard that he did not sign the relevant bill. He keeps his word. This means he is truly a democrat. Because if someone doesn't keep their word, but only talks, and then doesn't act, then what exactly is democracy all about? Democracy or manipulation? Democracy or deceit? – he asked.

– Our president is a democrat, so he keeps his word – although, I repeat, he was in a situation where he signed; it didn't necessarily have to please him, but he signed, and therefore, the word was given. We would like to see this kind of attitude throughout Poland, on all sides, at least within the patriotic camp – he stated.

Kaczyński:

'Both Mentzen and Bosak Say They're Ready to Govern with Civic Platform. How Can Anyone Want to Co-Govern with PO?'

– There is an issue that greatly troubles my mind, and which, after long consideration, I decided to address, because there's already too much of it from our potential partners. I am still not rejecting this partnership by saying, 'it's impossible, there's nothing to talk about,' but there have already been too many various attacks – said Jarosław Kaczyński in Gdańsk.

“Damn the attacks, even the offensive and simultaneously idiotic ones”
– But I'll say it in plain language: damn the attacks, even the offensive and simultaneously idiotic ones. For example, the one that claims I, among others, infected our colleague Ziobro with his serious illness – he stated.

– This is, of course, already the realm of complete absurdity, but one can deal with absurdity. However, there is something that unfortunately looks incomparably more serious – these are the declarations made by the leaders of Konfederacja, stating that they are ready to form a government with Civic Platform. Such declarations exist; they can be quoted. Both Mentzen says it, and Bosak says it – he continued.

“How can one want to co-govern with Civic Platform?”
– […] If someone is aware of these dangers – and it seems these people are aware of them, often criticizing various elements of what I briefly spoke about here – then how can they want to cooperate, to co-govern with Civic Platform? – he asked.

– After all, Civic Platform, probably along with its 'side dishes' [smaller allied parties], will still be stronger than Konfederacja. It will dictate the terms. Moreover, it has external support and the support of the vast majority of the media. There is not the slightest doubt here who will have the upper hand. Consequently, what could this lead to? That they will have to, to one degree or another [...], become part of this plan of 'wars against Poland,' which, if implemented, would ultimately lead to our complete subjugation – he assessed.

Kaczyński to Konfederacja: Aligning with Civic Platform Means Anti-Polish, Anti-Patriotic, and National Treason

– We are dealing with a certain deep division. Because they [Confederation] perhaps want in this way [with declarations that they are ready to form a coalition with Civic Platform] to boost their position against us. I want to tell them clearly: [...] they will most certainly not succeed, he indicated.

„If they join Civic Platform, they will find themselves on the side of something that can unhesitatingly be called national treason”
And if they join Civic Platform and form a coalition with them, that means they will find themselves on the anti-Polish, anti-patriotic side, on the side of something that can unhesitatingly be called national treason, he emphasized.

– I don't know how their electorate will react to this. I hope, I am actually certain, that their electorate – probably there are representatives of it here in this hall – these are Polish patriots, he added.

Kaczyński:

We have skilled, experienced people. So, are we to just sideline Morawiecki? Is Mentzen to be Prime Minister?

– Beyond the need for an appropriate majority, preferably a constitutional one – difficult to achieve, but one must fight for it – there must be a good government. It must first and foremost be a competent government, and we have proven capable of forming such a government, said Jarosław Kaczyński in Gdańsk.

– We genuinely have very proven, very capable people. People who have very broad contacts in Europe and around the world, experience in European institutions, very advanced relationships. Sometimes they even lectured there, he stated.

– Yes, ladies and gentlemen, it happened that at the European Councils, Prime Minister Morawiecki was asked to explain, because he genuinely understands economics, and not all European leaders understood these more complex banking mechanisms so well, he said.

– And he simply explained it there. And what then, are we to simply sideline him and say: no? Is Mentzen to be prime minister? he asked, to which the audience responded with a resounding "no".

Kaczyński on Nawrocki: ‘He’s Like a Battering Ram’

“We need to convince Poles. We need to convince those who voted for the current president, who is already acting and keeping his word. Today I read somewhere that he’s going like a battering ram. Yes, he’s going like a battering ram,” said Jarosław Kaczyński in Gdańsk.

Kaczyński on 'Constitutional Renewal': 'We Should Go This Way Even Without a Constitutional Majority'

"This constitution is bad; it absolutely needs to be changed. The only good thing those people, our opponents, have done is that it doesn't really apply today," Jarosław Kaczyński said in Gdańsk.

"We will certainly want to proceed in a manner consistent with the law. There is such a concept as 'renewal.' Of course, it can apply to a house, but it can also apply to law, to the constitution. There is certainly such a path through the renewal of the constitution. Even without a constitutional majority, we can and should take this path," he indicated.
