President Andrzej Duda, along with his wife Agata Kornhauser-Duda, will participate in the commemorations of the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the German Nazi concentration and extermination camp Auschwitz. – I think few expected the PO government to start wearing out so quickly, that after a year and a few months, this government's popularity polls would be lower than Mateusz Morawiecki's when he left, and this creates a new political situation. – No, I rather don't understand why such situations are even presented by the media and such questions are asked. Today, we have very serious matters in Polish politics, the President is responsible for security, he is the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, and just as I am not interested in whether someone had this education or that, wrote something here, wrote something there, made a mistake, got something wrong, wrote something somewhere. These elections will decide very important matters, security – stated Marcin Mastalerek in "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" on TVN24.

– Reducing these elections to the fact that someone booked an apartment somewhere… You know, many people are put off by such things in politics. What impact will it have on whether Karol Nawrocki will cooperate well with Donald Trump, whether he will be able to ensure security for Poland, whether he booked it or not. – They are going into these elections directly to complete the system, to ensure that there is no real opposition in Poland. Tusk has been repeating for months that he will do everything to prevent Law and Justice from ever returning to power – he continued.

– These elections are not equal, they are not fair, in my opinion, these will be the first elections where there will also be an attempt to rig the outcome, and therefore we must build a large movement to defend the elections, we must have our trusted representative in every polling station so that we can watch the regime's hands – said Adam Bielan on Radio Wnet.

– The space between Trzaskowski and Nawrocki is not shrinking. It is vast. One is competent, the other is incompetent. One is honest, the other is dishonest. – I don't see a hidden meaning [in Jacek Siewiera's resignation from the position of BBN chief]. I won't hide that such arrangements between the President and the Minister had been ongoing for several weeks. The Minister made the decision due to his personal plans related to undertaking a scientific research scholarship at Oxford, and as is known, such universities have certain schedules, and the decision is binary: either I use it on a given date, or it expires – Małgorzata Paprocka told Polsat News.

– It is difficult to expect great satisfaction from the President. Moreover, from the very beginning, the President clearly expressed his position [regarding the incidental act]. “The entire free world will today commemorate the victims of this inhumane war in Poland. – We also cooperated together for safety during these difficult times, and for that I wanted to thank you, but today I promise you that this cooperation will focus solely on ensuring the safety of all Warsaw residents, all Polish women and Polish men – he added.

– Security must also be provided at the level of every city, at the level of every municipality. We must deter all those who wish us ill. We must ensure that every city, town, and village in Poland is safe, and that is why local government is joining in such actions – stated Rafał Trzaskowski at a press conference.

– For me, this resolution from December 30, 2024, has no legal or financial consequences, because it must be read together with the first and second points. And if there are even the slightest doubts regarding the court, then the provision of Article 145 § 6 of the Electoral Code is not met. Meaning, there was no ruling from the Supreme Court – stated Ryszard Kalisz in an interview with journalists.

– The National Electoral Commission is an apolitical body, and what PiS politicians say is their own business; they can say anything absurd – Ryszard Kalisz told journalists.

– Whether a protest, because they can file a protest, will be effective will have to be decided by a court composed of Supreme Court judges appointed constitutionally – he added.

As he said: – I will gladly go with Mr. Morawiecki and ask him the question: why did he and his incompetent team lead to Lądek and Stronie being almost completely demolished by water. Because if the dam had held, if flood protection infrastructure had been built there, the scale of these damages would have been smaller.

– I don't see Mr. Morawiecki having anything to offer those affected by the flood. I see only political PR, typical for Morawiecki, by the way – he commented.

– If we were to compare the presidency being prepared by the current government with the presidency prepared by the Law and Justice government, it would be like comparing an encyclopedia to a crib sheet. Furthermore, a crib sheet written hastily. Because Donald Tusk, in his speech last week, gave the impression that he didn't mention the fundamental issues that should be Poland's message during its presidency of the European Union – said Mariusz Błaszczak at a press conference.

– During the Law and Justice government, we planned to organize several European Council summits […]. These summits will not take place, this type of meeting will not happen, and from the crib sheet that Donald Tusk presented, hastily written, we could hear that security would be the slogan of the presidency – he continued.

– The question is, how is security understood? Is it as Donald Tusk presented the issue of security on social media before the elections in the United States, when he said enough of outsourcing security from the United States, that the European Union should ensure security in Europe? This means competition with the North Atlantic Alliance, this means defeat, this means failure – he went on to say.

– Where is the contract for the production of K2 tanks in Poland? […] Where is the contract, for example, for the acquisition of 500 HIMARS launchers from the United States? There is no such contract. And where is the contract for the acquisition of Borsuk infantry fighting vehicles? […] That contract is also missing. Therefore, the assertion that security will be the slogan of Poland's EU presidency sounds like some poor joke – he added.

– Let Morawiecki visit at least one anti-flood investment that was completed in the affected areas during his government's term. Let him go to these people and explain to them why nothing was done regarding infrastructure – said Marcin Kierwiński at a press conference.

– I'm genuinely trying to stay very far away from politics on this matter. It's just hard to stay away from politics when you see such a political opportunist who wants to capitalize on the flood victims' tragedy – said Marcin Kierwiński at a press conference.

– I've been to see many of these people. They say: over the last 8 years [...] no one talked to us about flood control systems. No one invested even a single zloty in deepening rivers, regulating them, or cleaning riverbeds. If all of this had been done, Morawiecki had the opportunity, the scale of this destruction would have been significantly smaller – he stated.

– It is worth noting the fundamental difference between us and Donald Tusk's government, because we want to build a strong, sovereign Poland that deepens its transatlantic ties, as we consider the North Atlantic Alliance to be the foundation of our security – said Tobiasz Bocheński at a press conference.

– On the other hand, what Donald Tusk is currently saying, and what representatives of the Eurocracy in Brussels often say, is a step away from stating that a NATO bis is needed under the patronage of Brussels and Berlin, with the exclusion of the United States from Europe. There is no greater geopolitical threat and no greater security threat to the Republic of Poland than such a policy – he continued.

– The direction in which Donald Tusk is operating and the direction in which Civic Coalition is currently voicing its opinions in the European Parliament constitutes a very serious structural threat to our future security, because one does not need a very long memory to go back three years and remember what policy Berlin pursued, what policy Germany pursued regarding security, and where Poland was and what situation Poland would be in, were it not for the alliance with the United States – he went on to say.

– This is the first poll of its kind [by OGP], so I have the impression that the author of this poll very much wanted to be the first to present some information and gain some media fame – said Marcin Kierwiński at a press conference.

– I am approaching this calmly because I am looking at those reputable public opinion research centers that strongly indicate that Rafał Trzaskowski is the favorite in the presidential elections – he stated.

– Although I myself know perfectly well that it's not polls that win elections. It's hard work, it's determination, and Rafał Trzaskowski has no shortage of that – he commented.

As he added: – I have the impression that various polls will appear […], they often aim to create an atmosphere of sensation. I wouldn't worry about them. You just have to do your job.

– There is hope that Poland will be a normal state, normal in the way the United States became a normal state after President Trump's victory. There must be two genders in Poland, as it has always been […] we must end this madness, just as Donald Trump ended the madness by throwing the Green Deal into the bin, throwing the woke ideology into the bin, and so in our country we must return to normality – said Mariusz Błaszczak at a press conference.

– A return to normality will be the downfall of Donald Tusk's government. Donald Tusk's government will fall after victorious elections, which will end, I am convinced of this, with the victory of Dr. Karol Nawrocki – he continued.

– Unfortunately, from a citizen's perspective, this is a situation of far-reaching uncertainty, as judges appointed since 2018 have issued several million rulings. The Chamber of Extraordinary Control and Public Affairs of the Supreme Court handles several tens of thousands of cases, and citizens find out from time to time that some of these rulings do not exist, are not legally valid – stated Marcin Wiącek on RMF24.

– Parliament should, through legislation, create an appropriate procedure for both verifying judges and verifying the rulings that have been issued. These are judges and these are rulings, although they are burdened with a certain flaw resulting from the jurisprudence of European courts. It is an oversimplification to state that there are no judges, or that there are no rulings – he continued.

– I believe that the gravity of this matter warrants an independent, impartial court to rule on it. In this case, the administrative court is appropriate, and I also wanted to mention that when it comes to administrative courts, we are not dealing with rulings from European tribunals that directly question administrative court judges – said Marcin Wiącek on RMF24.

– If the Minister of Finance refuses to make the transfer, they must present a document; that's how an authority operates. An executive branch authority should issue an administrative decision, and that decision is appealable, just like any administrative decision, to an administrative court. The administrative court will then assess whether the stated motives, such as the opinion being issued by an entity other than the Supreme Court, or these arguments, are indeed valid — he continued.

– In my opinion, this [incidental] bill is consistent with the constitution. The constitution states that the Supreme Court is responsible for assessing the validity of elections, leaving certain room for decision-making to the ordinary legislator – the parliament – on how the panel adjudicating the validity of elections will be formed – stated Marcin Wiącek on RMF24.

– This bill, on the one hand, would allow for the removal of doubts we have concerning the status of judges of the Extraordinary Control and Public Affairs Chamber, undoubtedly, and on the other hand, it uses a fairly objective criterion, namely, the judge with the longest tenure in the Supreme Court – he emphasized.

– This is a criterion, and I wanted to emphasize this, which is found in many regulations, namely the criterion of the judge with the longest tenure or the criterion of the oldest judge. Therefore, it cannot be considered an arbitrary criterion; it is an objective criterion allowing for the formation of the adjudicating panel – he added.

– The role of the Chancellery of the Prime Minister in publishing the Official Journal of the Republic of Poland, 'Monitor Polski', is a purely technical one. There is no legal provision that would allow for the verification of whether a document submitted for publication is, or is not, an existing ruling of the Constitutional Tribunal. The Venice Commission has also confirmed this same thesis – said Marcin Wiącek in RMF24.

– The role of the Journal of Laws is to inform the public about the ruling; it is the courts that can assess the legal consequences caused by the Constitutional Tribunal's judgments – he added.

– It needs to be clarified that there was no invitation from Prime Minister Tusk. However, there was a decision that if Prime Minister Netanyahu [decided to come to Poland], he would not be arrested here in Poland.
