Karski:

I've Always Believed Kaczyński or His Nominee is the Best Candidate
- Since the election, I've met with the party leader three or four times, so we discuss various topics. We haven't specifically discussed this subject [who should be PiS's presidential candidate]. I have always believed that the best candidate is party leader Jarosław Kaczyński or a person designated by him – stated Karol Karski on TOK FM Morning.

07:58

Kierwiński:

Kaczyński Knows Exactly What His Colleagues Were Up To. Many of Them Will Spend Months in Prison
- These are two scandalous statements from MP Kaczyński. One is that they were distributing [funds] at will, because that was their interest, which he calls a public interest. But even more reprehensible is the statement that 100 billion [złoty] is too much, at most three billion annually. This is a level of abstraction, meaning three billion złoty stolen, siphoned off is okay, but 100 billion is not okay, because it's a bit too much - said Marcin Kierwiński in an interview with Agata Adamek on TVN24's "Jeden na jeden". - This is beyond comment. It's evident that MP Kaczyński has a gigantic problem. It's evident that he knows exactly what his colleagues were up to and knows what the consequences will be, because many of them will spend many months in prison for what they did - he continued.

08:02

Kierwiński on the Prosecutor's Office's Communication with Society:

It's Not the Best.
- Indeed, the prosecutor's office's communication [with society] is not the best, but [...] we must accelerate the process of changes, changes in the prosecutor's office, dismissing neo-judges [...] not everything has been changed, and this process is ongoing - said Marcin Kierwiński on TVN24, referring to the events in the Marcin Romanowski case.

08:06

Kierwiński:

The President is Doing Everything to Throw Sand in the Government's Gears
- The Polish government has repeatedly shown its good intentions and extended a hand to Mr. President, while it is Mr. President who is doing everything to throw sand in the gears of this government. This is not good politics. Mr. President, even though it's the last year of his term, could step out of the PiS appendage logic and become the president of all Poles – Marcin Kierwiński said on TVN24.

08:14

Kierwiński:

In My Opinion, Trzaskowski Will Be the Civic Coalition's Presidential Candidate
- He is [Rafał Trzaskowski] the most serious candidate, not only to be a presidential candidate, but to be the future president of Poland - said Marcin Kierwiński on TVN24. - In the first round, it will likely be very, very difficult. However, I assume that if it comes to the second round, the entire democratic parliamentary majority will support the candidate who makes it to the second round. Everything points to this, polls show this, that it will be the Civic Coalition candidate, and the highest probability is that it will be Rafał Trzaskowski - he continued, when asked if this could be the candidate for the entire ruling coalition. - In my opinion, it is a very unlikely scenario [other parties in the ruling coalition do not field their candidates and Donald Tusk becomes the joint presidential candidate]. In my opinion, the candidate of Civic Platform, the Civic Coalition, the most probable one will be Rafał Trzaskowski - he went on to say.

08:22

Kierwiński on changing abortion law:

We will talk to Kosiniak-Kamysz, that it is truly necessary.
- We will talk to the PSL and convince them that this solution [decriminalization of abortion] should be supported, that it is a matter of responsibility. [...] We will talk to leader Kosiniak-Kamysz, that in the current legal situation, it is truly necessary to make this change. This is no longer a matter of the personal views of any politician; it is a matter of responsibility, responsibility for the fact that the current legal status leads to tragedies, to the tragedies of women, to the deaths of women - said Marcin Kierwiński on TVN24.

08:25

Karski on Kaczyński:

He Is in Excellent Shape, He Knows Where He's Heading.
– It’s clear we are seeing a different party leader. As I said, I also had the opportunity to meet with him a few times, to talk with him one-on-one. Jarosław is in excellent shape at the moment, he knows perfectly well where he's heading. The good of Poland has always been his guiding principle, within the framework of which he acted – said Karol Karski on Poranek TOK FM, when asked about Jarosław Kaczyński’s condition.

08:31

Kierwiński on Bukowiec's position:

If the coalition is to survive, we must sometimes agree to gestures towards coalition partners.
- This is not a nomination from Civic Coalition; it was nominated by the Polish People's Party [...] However, it is good practice to respect the substantive recommendations of coalition partners. We made a commitment to the Polish people for 4 years of hard work. If this coalition is to survive and do what is most important [...] then we must accept that we sometimes also make various gestures towards coalition partners – said Marcin Kierwiński on TVN24, when asked about the position of Deputy Minister of Infrastructure, which was granted to Stanisław Bukowiec, even though he was one of the people who signed the motion to the Constitutional Tribunal regarding the tightening of abortion law.

08:42

Karski on Subsidies: Often a Minister's Intellectual Potential Exceeds the Competition Committee's. That Was the Case with Czarnek
- We call certain things 'competitions' at the moment, for example, but they are often procedures designed simply to make it easier for the minister, as the allocator of funds, to make a decision. They are not binding procedures; they are advisory procedures. Often, the minister's intellectual potential is higher than… - Karol Karski said on TOK FM Morning.

- Than the competition committee's? Oh, I would strongly reconsider that - replied the host, Maciej Kluczka.

- In the case of Minister Professor Przemysław Czarnek, I believe that sometimes his scope of substantive competence as a professor of legal sciences is comparable, and sometimes it could even be, possibly, higher than such a committee's - Karski continued.

Dworczyk Responds to Allegations Against His Foundation:

I Haven’t Held Any Position There Since 2015.

- Of course I knew, meaning I didn't have the exact number in my head, but I know both organizations because I was on their boards for many years. The Foundation for Poles in the East is a state treasury foundation that was established in the 90s. I sat on its program council, maybe 20 years ago, and I was involved with it later as well, and as I said, it is a state treasury foundation which is a tool of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for implementing policy. In turn, the Freedom and Democracy Foundation, which I founded with Adam Lipiński in 2004, meaning, thank God, 20 years ago, is one of the three largest non-governmental organizations supporting Poles abroad, primarily in the East – stated Michał Dworczyk in the program "Graffiti" on Polsat News.

- As the founder of this foundation and a long-time member of its council and board, since 2015, when I took on my parliamentary mandate, I have not held any position in this non-governmental organization, but I am of course associated with it – he added.

09:56

"Immense Pressure is Being Exerted'. Dworczyk on Government Actions Towards the National Electoral Commission

- I would very much like to believe in the independence of the National Electoral Commission (PKW), however, we are dealing with another situation where immense pressure is being exerted on state institutions, in this case, the National Electoral Commission. It's like Donald Tusk during the conference you've already mentioned, standing next to the minister coordinator for special services, indicating, I understand, such a number. 60. 60 people who must, here, be convicted, or in some other way stigmatized by the tax administration, by the services of the current state. This reminds me of the worst times when quotas of people to be convicted and stigmatized were indicated – said Michał Dworczyk in Polsat News.

09:56

Dworczyk on Kosiniak-Kamysz:

I Have Many Warm Words for Those Realizing Poland's Interests.

- I have very many, good, warm words for all ministers who are realizing the interests of the Republic of Poland. I am glad that it is precisely the PSL in the Ministry of National Defence, at least theoretically, that leads the way. Even in the times when I was a member of the National Defence Committee in the Sejm. With politicians representing Minister Kosiniak-Kamysz, or with him himself, one could have a relatively substantive discussion, without all that aggression and bickering that PO politicians provide – stated Michał Dworczyk on Polsat News.

09:57

Dworczyk on Poczobut's Release:

Such Matters Prefer Silence, They Cannot Be Exploited.

- I approach all information circulating in the public sphere on this topic [Andrzej Poczobut's release] with caution. I believe it's not good for politicians to speak too harshly on this matter. Everyone involved in this issue knows that such matters must be handled quietly if they are to be resolved effectively, and one cannot make a spectacle of it for some internal political quarrel – said Michał Dworczyk on Polsat News.

11:29

Gembicka on Ministers' Agreement:

It Boils Down to Jointly...ing PiS.
- For several weeks now, we've been witnessing further antics from this dysfunctional government. A few days ago, a poll emerged showing that a huge portion of Poles don't believe Donald Tusk will fulfill his promises. And what happened? Of course, Donald Tusk got furious and had to put on a show. He summoned three ministers to sign an agreement on camera, so that, as they put it, they could jointly... PiS, because that's what this agreement truly boils down to - stated Anna Gembicka at a press conference in the Sejm.

12:27

Kosiniak-Kamysz on Defense Spending:

There Is No Better Investment in the Future.
- The economy and the armed forces must be interconnected, as one follows from the other. If we can spend, and are spending, so much money thanks to our taxpayers, thanks to you dear esteemed ladies and gentlemen, on armaments, because this is the best investment in the future, including the future of our children and grandchildren, the future of our families. There is no better investment than industry today and in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland, our allies. This is the measure of our responsibility – stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz at a press conference in Sochaczew. - This will be a great week for the Polish Army. Today in Sochaczew, at the 3rd Warsaw Missile Air Defense Brigade, we are beginning the signing of a series of contracts strengthening Polish security – he continued.

12:35

Kosiniak-Kamysz on Signing the Contract for Patriot Missile Launcher Production:

A Major Investment in Polish Security.
- Today, defense companies Raytheon Polska and PGZ, Huta Stalowa Wola, signed a contract for 48 M903 launchers, as part of the Patriot system, in the second phase of the Wisła program, for the sum of 1 billion 230 million dollars. This is a major investment in Polish security – said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz at a press conference in Sochaczew.

12:36

Kosiniak-Kamysz on His Goal as Minister of National Defence:

The Principle of Continuity Must Be Adopted.
- We are capable of drawing conclusions, which is why we are more responsible. Upon taking the role of Minister of National Defence, my goal was to carry out the transformation of the Polish army. This cannot be done in a year, or even in one term, and a certain principle of continuity must be adopted. This is, in my opinion, a fundamental matter: that we have the feeling that by handing Poland over to future generations, we are leaving it better – stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz at a press conference in Sochaczew.

13:33

Szydło to her PiS Colleagues: If You Don't Want Me in the Party Leadership, Say It Publicly
- If you really don't want me in the PiS leadership, then say it publicly, don't run around anonymously whispering to journalists. Have some courage, Gentlemen! – wrote Beata Szydło on social media.

13:55

Morawiecki on Those Accusing the Right of Pro-Russian Sympathies:

Today They Must Delete Photos with Real Putin Agents.
Those who today must delete photos with real Putin agents have found themselves on the front line of accusing the right of pro-Russian sympathies. Do not apologize, you have inscribed yourselves in the pages of history on the wrong side - wrote Mateusz Morawiecki on Twitter.

19:56

Hennig-Kloska on the maximum possible increase in energy bills:

If someone received a higher forecast, it should be corrected.
- Yes, yes, according to our calculations, it should be that way. Generally, it is the maximum price. If, as I said, someone received a higher forecast, it should be corrected - said Paulina Hennig-Kloska in an interview with Dariusz Ociepa on the program "Gość Wydarzeń" Polsat News, when asked if she stood by her words that the maximum increase in energy bills would be 26%. - They should do it. The Minister of State Assets promised me that he would ensure it happens - she continued, when asked if energy companies had sent out bill corrections.

20:01

Hennig-Kloska on energy prices and support measures in 2025:

One of the options I will recommend.
- We are discussing, and also making preliminary considerations about how energy prices will shape up next year. [...] I would like to maintain this maximum energy price within the scope of support measures at a price accessible to citizens [...] depending on the market situation, one of the options that I will certainly recommend, in case of continued high tariff prices, will be to maintain [in 2025] support measures for citizens, but, as I said, decisions will be made at the government level, because the budgetary situation is difficult, nevertheless I believe that some funds for citizen support will be found - said Paulina Hennig-Kloska in Polsat News.

20:09

Hennig-Kloska on the Choice of Poland’s EU Commissioner:

The President Should Absolutely Adhere to the Government’s Will.
- No, tomorrow, I understand, the Prime Minister will speak with us, tomorrow we have a Council of Ministers meeting, and this will be one of the points that will be raised - said Paulina Hennig-Kloska in Polsat News, when asked if she knew who would be Poland's candidate for EU commissioner.

- No [the candidacy was not consulted among coalition partners], I also didn't particularly seek to find out about it, I believe this discussion should take place among political leaders, Prime Minister Donald Tusk, Szymon Hołownia, and other leaders - she continued.

- The President should absolutely adhere to the government's will here [...] acknowledge the government's prerogatives in appointing a commissioner for the next term [...] the law is unconstitutional, we know well that the full prerogatives of the government in shaping foreign policy lie with the government - she added.

20:13

Sikorski:

PO has several excellent presidential candidates, with Tusk at the forefront
- I think that's a conversation that requires more than one word - said Radosław Sikorski on TVN24's "Fakty po Faktach" (Facts after Facts), when asked if he would like to run for president. - PO has several excellent candidates, with Donald Tusk at the forefront. I think that in these difficult times, when security matters, but also the restoration of democracy, are very important, he is a person who combines both these aspects - he stated.

20:13

Hennig-Kloska on the Health Contribution:

The First Element of the Agreement is Already Here.
- The first element of the agreement is already here [...] meaning the health contribution will not be calculated on the sale of any fixed assets; these were absurd regulations - said Paulina Hennig-Kloska on Polsat News. - I haven't heard of Lewica having any objections on this matter - she continued, when asked if Lewica was already not issuing a veto on this issue.

20:17

Sikorski Suggests Timeline for Announcing PO's Presidential Candidate
- The Democrats haven't formally anointed Kamala Harris yet, even though there are less than 100 days until the election. So for us, it would be somewhere around January-February next year - Radosław Sikorski said on TVN24's "Fakty po Faktach".

20:21

Hennig-Kloska:

We Will Likely Field Our Own Candidate. Hołownia Has a Chance to Win the Presidential Election
- We, as Poland 2050, will likely be fielding our own candidate [for president] [...] who that candidate will be will probably become clear in the autumn - Paulina Hennig-Kloska said on Polsat News. - Of course, for us, the candidate is Szymon Hołownia. Whether Szymon Hołownia decides to run in this race, he will decide himself as the candidate - she continued. - I have no doubt that Szymon Hołownia has a chance to secure a place in the second round and win this election - she added.

20:21

Sikorski on Polish Students Detained in Nigeria:

We Are Receiving Reassuring Messages.
- We are in contact with the Nigerian authorities on one hand, and with the students' families on the other. It seems to me that a misunderstanding has occurred. They had the misfortune of finding themselves in the midst of political controversies in Nigeria - said Radosław Sikorski in "Fakty po Faktach" on TVN24. - They are in a hotel, we are receiving reassuring messages. I also cannot say everything, but it seems to me - I don't want to jinx it - but I hope the matter is on the right track - he added.

20:30

Sikorski on Ukrainian Attack in Kursk Oblast:

A Bold Operation Sowing Confusion in Russian Ranks.
- Today, the National Security Subcommittee of the Council of Ministers convened under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister Kosiniak-Kamysz. We received a report from the Chief of the General Staff. So, the government has current information, and it aligns with what the public knows – Radosław Sikorski stated in TVN24’s “Fakty po Faktach” (Facts after Facts). - This is indeed a bold Ukrainian action [in Russia’s Kursk Oblast]. It restores Ukrainian morale, it shows Russia that it does not control the situation. It improves Ukraine’s hypothetical negotiating position and it sows confusion in Russian ranks, both militarily and, most importantly, politically. It is a rather effective Ukrainian operation, for now – he assessed.

20:38

Head of KAS Announces Further Audits:

The Amount Will Grow.

- In my opinion, this will certainly continue to develop. This amount [100 billion] will certainly grow, because we are starting further audits. For example, last week we started, as the Prime Minister said, 90 audits. As of today, there are already 96 - stated Marcin Łoboda on TVP Info.

20:40

Sikorski on Poczobut's release:

Efforts are underway, but we cannot talk about them.
- Efforts are still ongoing, but let's remember the basic fact: that Łukaszenka is holding Poczobut captive, and he would be the one to make the decision [on his release]. Efforts are underway, but we cannot talk about them - said Radosław Sikorski on TVN24's "Fakty po Faktach".
