At 10:30 AM, a press conference of Lewica will take place in Krakow concerning current matters and the concluded referendum, with the participation of Włodzimierz Czarzasty, Daria Gosek-Popiołek, and Ryszard Śmiałek.

At 11:00 AM, in Krakow, Marshal of the Sejm Włodzimierz Czarzasty will participate in the conference "Ignacy Daszyński - Socialist Father of Polish Independence," organized in Krakow as part of the Ignacy Daszyński Year celebrations.

At 3:00 PM, the Sejm's extraordinary committee for animal protection will consider the presidential draft amendment to the animal protection act, as well as a parliamentary draft – in practice, this concerns the introduction of a ban on keeping domestic animals on a tether, and in particular, the resolution of the problem of dogs kept "on a chain."

At 5:00 PM, PiS Vice-President Mateusz Morawiecki, along with PiS MP Andrzej Kryj, will participate in the Voivodeship Consultations for the One-Speed Poland Program during a meeting with residents in Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski.

- The residents of Krakow have made their decision. I accept it with respect.
I thank all Krakow residents for participating in the referendum - both those who supported me and those who were critical of me, Aleksander Miszalski wrote on social media.

- Local democracy is precisely about the residents having the final say. The past few months have been a very important lesson for me. Serving as the Mayor of Krakow was a great honor and responsibility. Not everything I wanted to achieve was accomplished, he noted.

- I also know that some decisions and the emotions surrounding them caused many residents to lose trust in me. But I never stopped thinking about Krakow with care and responsibility, emphasized the former Mayor of Krakow.

As he wrote: - Our city faces great challenges: the general spatial development plan, transport, housing, communication development, and quality of life. That is why today I want to appeal for one thing - that after this referendum, Krakow can once again be a community.

- Because regardless of political disputes, we are all playing for the same team. Thank you for this time together. And thank you for the opportunity to work for Krakow, he added.

- The essence of this matter is that Polish rescue services, not only the fire brigade and police, but also medical rescue teams, which are dispatched by the operators of the emergency call centers, are simply being misled. This, of course, also impacts individuals who are identified as the owners of these premises - stated Czesław Mroczek in "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" on TVN24.

- The President's expectation is that this system should be improved. [...] When a series of such incidents occurs, first affecting a specific political environment and then the head of state, it means we have a colossal problem in the country with the reporting and response system - said Bartosz Grodecki in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on the program "Gość Radia ZET" (Guest of Radio ZET).

- This is a disturbing situation for us, and also a compromising one for the government - he continued.

- For now, we demand, and the President has clearly stated this, and we have also conveyed it in a conversation with Minister Szefernaker at the Ministry of Interior, we demand a full explanation of this matter and we demand a swift resolution to this issue - he continued, when asked if he and the President were demanding the resignation of the Minister of Interior and the heads of the services.

- It won't [cause an earthquake]. This is a purely local government matter. Let's pay attention to the fact that the mayor has irritated a significant portion of his city's residents through various decisions. I am not a specialist in local government, nor am I a specialist in the city of Krakow, but voices have been heard that regarding car traffic in Krakow – incidentally, I don't know who drives a car in Krakow, because it's easier to walk there, especially in the center. But never mind that. So, it's a purely local issue. Secondly, 30% turnout is 30%. No party wins elections with 30%. So, the fact that 97% of that 30% voted negatively is no revolution - stated Władysław Teofil Bartoszewski in an interview with Marcin Fijołek on Polsat News's "Gość Wydarzeń" (Guest of Events).

- 2/3 didn't go to vote at all, so let's not tell such stories. These are not normal elections, but a referendum against bad decisions, ill-considered decisions by one mayor. It has nothing to do with anything. You can say whatever you want, but when elections come, the candidate from Konfederacja, or even from PiS, will certainly not win - he continued.
 

- This is, on the one hand, the beginning of a great wave that will sweep through Poland and end with Tusk’s own departure, because today we are dealing with the departure of the “Krakow Tusk,” but it will end with Tusk’s departure, because the rule of Tusk and his coalition on December 13th is perceived by Poles across the country in the same way as the rule of the “Krakow Tusk,” that is, Mr. Miszalski here in Krakow. On the other hand, it is a personal defeat for Mr. Tusk, who came here and praised his friend and closest associate, saying that without any problem, with full trust, he would entrust the fate of Krakow to his friend, Mr. Miszalski - stated Przemysław Czarnek at a press conference in Krakow.

"I would read Donald Trump's statement and want to read it as it was written, it would be the most favorable solution for us, 10+5. However, if it will be 5 instead of 4 in this minimal version, then we also have a strengthened presence of American troops, and that is very good news for us" – said Bartosz Grodecki on Radio ZET, when asked if an additional 5,000 American soldiers would appear in Poland, or if these 5,000 soldiers would replace the 4,000 that did not arrive.

- This is a very important moment, not just for Krakow, although the residents of Krakow deserve special congratulations and thanks for proving, and I can say that all of us standing here are very proud of it, that it was here, in Małopolska, in Krakow, that we showed, the residents showed, that it's not worth doubting the possibility of victory - stated Beata Szydło at a press conference in Krakow.

- Democracy has won, Krakow has won, the residents have won. A bad president who couldn't manage the city has been recalled, but now this is the beginning of the road that we should all take in Poland, so that just as a bad host was recalled here in Krakow, the bad host of our homeland, our country, Donald Tusk, will be recalled, and to thank this coalition that is currently destroying Poland - she continued.

- This is the beginning of the road to reclaiming democracy in Poland. So that we can finally say that Poland is governed by citizens, that it is the people here, in Poland, in our country, just like here in Krakow, who decide about their future - she emphasized.

- Everything is open. The elections are in August, today we are a few hours after the announcement that Mr. Miszalski is no longer the mayor. We are open to all possible directions of cooperation so that Krakow can be governed by someone decidedly better than Mr. Miszalski has been so far - stated Przemysław Czarnek at a press conference in Krakow.

"We are doing everything for this to happen, the President's declaration on this matter is completely clear, we are acting according to procedures, when the time and the right moment comes, it will happen" - said Bartosz Grodecki on Radio ZET, when asked if the annex to the WSI report would see the light of day.

"Today we are at the stage of collecting opinions from the marshals, we are still waiting for the opinion of Marshal Czarzasty [...] all legal procedures will be completed in this matter, once they are completed, then we will have the result in the form of the publication of this annex" - he continued.

"The marshals' opinions are not binding, but nevertheless, we are waiting for the Marshal's opinion, even though the time has already passed" - he went on to say.

"There is an opinion from the Marshal of the Senate" - he noted.

- Yes, this is another yellow card; society, the residents of Krakow, have utilized the mechanisms of democracy - said Bartosz Grodecki on Radio ZET, when asked if the recall of Aleksander Miszalski was a warning for the government.

- Opponents of the recall claimed that the Russians were behind it, Zondacrypto is behind it [...] they made great efforts to discredit this civic initiative among the residents, but they didn't succeed. We managed to recall Aleksander Miszalski, but we narrowly missed out on the City Council, which is a shame - Łukasz Gibała said in an interview with Robert Mazurek on Kanał Zero.

- I think Platforma will find him some comfortable position, but I believe he will likely no longer be able to aspire to the highest positions, and he probably had such dreams somewhere - Łukasz Gibała said in Kanał Zero, when asked if this was the end of Aleksander Miszalski's career.

- Now, the Platform's brand is already dragging down even in big cities, so this kind of support is counterproductive - Łukasz Gibała said on Kanał Zero, when asked if Prime Minister Donald Tusk had harmed Aleksander Miszalski by endorsing him and sending his ministers to support him.

- There is a theory that a domino effect will now occur. I am skeptical. I believe it will be very difficult to repeat in other big cities - Łukasz Gibała said on Kanal Zero, when asked if, after the recall of Aleksander Miszalski, the presidents of other cities might feel threatened.

- Wrocław is a peculiar situation, it's probably the only large city where there was an even worse mayor, and there is still a worse mayor than Miszalski. After all, what Sutryk is up to, even Miszalski didn't measure up to him - Łukasz Gibała said on Kanał Zero.

- A guy who faces such charges and is so arrogant, Miszalski was also very arrogant, but Sutryk is probably even more arrogant, so Wrocław, I'm surprised they tried to gather these signatures twice and failed - he continued.

- I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they succeed. In my opinion, it's a real possibility there - he added.

- They promised 100 concrete actions in 100 days, are you still waiting for them? Finally, we have a breakthrough - says the narrator in the new PiS clip, published on social media.

- The first real concrete action. Krakow residents took matters into their own hands and held them accountable for empty promises. The recall of the mayor from the coalition is not just a local success, it's the beginning of a great wave. We have shown that the citizen's voice has real power, and the arrogance of power has its limits - the narrator emphasizes.

- Poles are waking up now, Krakow has sent a clear signal to all of Poland, but let's remember – the most important referendum is yet to come. Let's take matters into our own hands, and next year, let's jointly recall this bad government - it was added.

"When I ran last time, I gathered about 100 experts, truly great people, we had a program. I need to talk to these people, I need to ask them if they still have the time, if they want to invest that time, I cannot fix this city by myself" – Łukasz Gibała said on Kanał Zero, when asked if he would run for the mayor of Krakow.

"The city is in a terrible financial situation, it has many problems. I simply need to build a team, build a program. This will take me 2-3 weeks. If it turns out that I succeed, then yes, I will run. However, for now, I need to talk to all these people" – he continued.

- New Left will field a candidate for the mayor of Krakow. The time will come, various decisions will be announced by the commissioner, and we will inform you on this matter - stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty at a press briefing in Krakow.

- All decisions will be made, as is obvious to us, in Krakow, by Krakow's circles, by the Krakow branch of New Left. Krakow is an entity, no Warsaw has the right to say anything on this matter - he continued.

- The verdict of the voters, the decision of the electorate, always ends all discussions. The decision has been made, Mayor Miszalski is leaving office - said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz at a press conference, when asked about the referendum in Krakow.

- Krakow needs a serious president [...] an authority figure who will unite various political and social circles, movements, different economic environments, and activists from various backgrounds. It cannot be someone with a very narrow profile - Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz said at a press conference.

- I believe that this responsibility and seriousness requires Krakow to have a president who unites different circles, and I also want to personally get involved in this process, in presenting such a candidacy, a responsible, prepared person with experience, who also has great energy - he continued.

- I believe in the cooperation of various circles, especially within our coalition. I believe this cooperation is possible, I am already encouraging it today, and I would like this cooperation to be demonstrated here, in Krakow. This will also be a test of our leadership for the next parliamentary elections - said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz at a press conference.

"I wouldn't assign any party label. I would look for a serious, responsible, prepared candidate, with great energy" - said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz at a press conference.

- I don't want a candidate who will have such a party character, because he simply won't win a confrontation with Łukasz Gibała, and we need to say that directly - Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz said at a press conference.

- Łukasz Gibała achieved success through a effectively conducted referendum, he is a very serious candidate today, two years ago he lost by a small margin - he continued.

"My goal is an army of 500, an army of 500 thousand, 300 thousand professionals, territorial defense, military art cadets, officer cadets, plus 200 thousand high-readiness reserves," said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz at a press conference.

- A very good decision by the Prime Minister yesterday regarding the task force at the Government Security Centre. I participated in it, everyone has specific tasks. Now the Police have the most tasks to catch the individuals carrying out provocations - said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz at a press conference.

- I ask everyone not to use this politically. I will also defend the good name of firefighters and police officers performing their duties - he continued.

- The role of the state now is to catch those behind these provocations and to protect. The matter concerning the President, as the Prime Minister said yesterday, is treated with the utmost seriousness and respect - he added.

- Krakow has said enough. The Mayor of Krakow, Aleksander Miszalski, a friend of Tusk, has been recalled. Not by politicians, but by the people. This is a signal for all of Poland. Poles are beginning to wake up, they see the attack on security, on normality, on Polish values. The first wall has just cracked. Today Miszalski, in a year Tusk - said Mateusz Morawiecki in a recording published on social media.

- For this echo of chaos, the worst minister in this government when it comes to the security sector, because in other sectors we would find other candidates to compete with this echo of chaos, must leave immediately - stated Przemysław Czarnek at a press briefing.

- Mr. Kierwiński must leave his position immediately because he either completely lacks control over the services, over what is happening in Poland, just like Prime Minister Tusk, and is indeed unfit to hold these very responsible functions regarding the internal security of the Polish state, or he himself is behind the provocations - he continued.

- An additional matter that must be emphasized and which will also be the subject of the no-confidence motion against Minister Kierwiński is the issue of absolute non-compliance with the Polish Constitution, the regulation on the so-called transcription of homosexual marriages in Poland - added the PiS candidate for prime minister.

- We must immediately refer to the bill that we submitted some time ago to the Marshal's office, which introduces deportation after a second offense without the possibility of appeal before deportation - said Przemysław Czarnek at a press conference, when asked about a Ukrainian entering the Morskie Oko area by car and about another Ukrainian breaking a Pole's arm.

- This should restore order on Polish streets, but I also caution against generalizing all possible events. Yes, these are disgusting, they require an immediate reaction, this was probably Minister Kierwiński's only successful decision without repercussions, regarding this Ukrainian's 'raid' near Morskie Oko, we support this decision as the only one - he continued.

- We require a systemic approach to the matter, and this systemic approach is addressed in our bill - he further stated.

- I am not aware of any statements by President Duda publicly questioning [a run for mayor in Krakow]. But I think that President Duda, although it would certainly be a very strong candidacy, which would have the support of Law and Justice… It would certainly be a good candidacy and would have a chance to win. I think if such a candidacy appeared, it would certainly be worth offering support - stated Łukasz Kmita in an interview with RMF FM.

- This is my personal opinion. However, I don't think the President would decide. Well, the head of state, twice elected, is also a huge authority. I don't know if it would be worth entangling President Andrzej Duda in these current, unfortunately visible, urban political disputes. My dream is that there would be as little politics as possible in local government - he continued.

- [Zbigniew Kapiński] will commence [serving as the First President of the Supreme Court] on May 27th, which is a Wednesday. Tomorrow, Professor Małgorzata Manowska's term expires, and from Wednesday, Judge Zbigniew Kapiński will be the First President of the Supreme Court - stated Rafał Leśkiewicz at a press briefing.

- It was Judge Zbigniew Kapiński who was the first to oppose the current government's violation of the rule of law. He had the courage to point out that the matter of the parliamentary mandates of Messrs. Kamiński and Wąsik should be referred to the Extraordinary Control and Public Affairs Chamber. It was Judge Kapiński who confirmed the legality of Dariusz Barski's functioning and election as National Prosecutor. It is Zbigniew Kapiński who is the lawyer, the judge, who opposed and loudly spoke out against the violation of the law and the overinterpretation of legal regulations by those currently in power - stated Rafał Leśkiewicz at a press briefing.

- This is a matter [concerning Lech Wałęsa] from 26 years ago. Today, in the year 2026, there is no doubt that Lech Wałęsa was a secret collaborator of the communist security services under the codename Bolek. There is extensive evidence for this; we possess this evidence today. In February 2016, IPN prosecutors took possession of the original documents confirming Wałęsa’s cooperation with the communist state security organs - stated Rafał Leśkiewicz at a press briefing.

- I have the impression that the state, due to this situation, has shown its cardboard nature. If it is unable to protect the family home of the president, where his elderly mother lives, from this type of situation, then is it able to protect us all from Russian, Belarusian, or any other attacks? - said Marcin Przydacz in an interview with Magda Sakowska on the program "Gość Wydarzeń" on Polsat News.

- That's the problem, not whether Mr. Kierwiński will find a regulation stating that formally [...] the services don't know where the president's family home is, really? Half of Gdańsk probably knows, only Kierwiński doesn't know - he continued.

- We will of course find out about that - said Marcin Przydacz on Polsat News, when asked whether the entry into the president's mother's home was a provocation prepared by those currently in power.

- I don't know who the perpetrator is [...]. If they are pranksters, then the services should react even more promptly - he continued, when asked if he did not rule that out.

The interviewer continued to press Marcin Przydacz, asking if he ruled out that Marcin Kierwiński and Prime Minister Donald Tusk had prepared such a provocation.

- But doesn't it surprise you that after so many weeks, these services and the Police, CBŚ, etc., are unable to verify who is behind these actions? - Przydacz replied.

- My allegations are not directed at firefighters. [...] My allegations are directed at the special services, at the Internal Security Agency, because that is why they receive appropriate statutory powers, so they can act in the shadows and eliminate such threats - said Marcin Przydacz on Polsat News.

- Mr. Czarnek, during the debate on the no-confidence motion, I will have an excellent opportunity to show how harmful and anti-state your and PiS's security policy is. You can take my word for it, there's plenty to tell... - wrote Marcin Kierwiński on social media.

- Of course, [these opinions are important to the president], there were various opinions, there were opinions of this nature that reached the president, and there were others - said Marcin Przydacz in Polsat News, when asked about the president's decision that Zbigniew Kapiński will become the First President of the Supreme Court, and about the criticism of this decision from Sławomir Cenckiewicz, as well as Jarosław Kaczyński's earlier opposition to this candidacy.

- The president had to make a decision. Based on the law, he could only choose from 5 candidates indicated by the Supreme Court, and he had to choose from these 5. Incidentally, Judge Kapiński received the most votes from the General Assembly of the Supreme Court, but in the president's opinion, appropriate substantive competence was most important - he continued.

- Judge Kapiński has been a judge since the very beginning of his career, he has gone through district, regional, and appellate courts, and then the Criminal Chamber of the Supreme Court, demonstrating impeccable character, as well as substantive preparation - he further stated.

- I think he would generally be good, however, I don't think [...] that this is his current political goal [...] I don't think he has such plans - said Marcin Przydacz on Polsat News, when asked if Andrzej Duda would be a good candidate for the mayor of Krakow.

- I think this wave is already forming in a way, because not so long ago, a few months ago, the recently elected mayor of Zabrze, also from Civic Coalition, was recalled - said Marcin Przydacz on Polsat News.

- In Zabrze they were recalled, in Krakow, the second largest city [...] it's the second most important, intellectually as well, capital of Poland, former capital of Poland - he continued.

- I think there will be further motions, I'm already hearing something about Rzeszów, I think also about Wrocław, because the mayor there, Mayor Sutryk, is indeed exceptionally pathetic, and the threshold for potential recall there is even lower than in Krakow - he went on to say.

- I know what this question will sound like, but I don't have the authority today to [...] talk about it, I think it will still be discussed internally, I've only heard some preliminary idea - said Marcin Przydacz in Polsat News, when asked about another version of the referendum question that the President will propose.

- The content will concern the European Union's climate policy, how it will be formulated is something the President will finally decide. [...] I think if a part of this question wasn't liked, because it does suggest something, then perhaps that suggestive part will need to be modified, or changed, or completely limited - he continued, when pressed whether the question would be more neutral.
