07:41

Schetyna on the French Elections:

The Era of Macronism is Ending with a Bang.

- Everything is possible in France, but one thing is certain. A huge change is coming, meaning the era of President Macron, Macronism as the French say, is ending with a bang. This is a very serious end to an epoch in French politics - stated Grzegorz Schetyna in "Sygnały dnia" (Signals of the Day) on PR1.

07:44

Schetyna on partnership unions:

This is a difficult matter, but important for the unity and cohesion of the coalition.
Final touches are still being made to this project and efforts are underway to build a parliamentary majority around it and to make it a government project. A good compromise means that everyone is dissatisfied. Everyone had to let go, retreat from their previous positions. This is a very difficult matter, but very important for the unity and cohesion of the coalition, important for showing the responsibility of the parliamentary majority, that we are capable of jointly navigating difficult projects, because this is a difficult project – stated Grzegorz Schetyna on “Sygnały dnia” (Signals of the Day) on PR1.

07:46

Schetyna on Civil Partnerships: "I am optimistic"

- I am optimistic. I believe that such a level of awareness, rationality, and simply cool political calculation will prevail. We need to be together and show that we are simply delivering. This was an electoral promise of many groups, environments within the democratic coalition, so we simply must adopt it in the near future - stated Grzegorz Schetyna in "Sygnały dnia" on PR1.

07:53

Schetyna on Ziobro's Interrogation: No Sacred Cows
There are no sacred cows. Whether someone was a minister, prime minister, or parliamentarian, they simply must appear at the prosecutor's summons, in this case, at the summons of the investigative committee. The explanation I'm encountering, that the investigative committee is excused or Zbigniew Ziobro is on sick leave in the Sejm, at the Chancellery of the Sejm, so the committee can access this sick leave note and familiarize itself with it, is simply out of place. All of this should be handled in a normal, civilized manner, and I believe it will be - stated Grzegorz Schetyna in "Sygnały dnia" on PR1. - If Minister Ziobro does not appear before the investigative committee today, he will appear at the next one. I cannot imagine any other possibility, any other scenario - he continued.

07:58

Dworczyk on the Justice Fund:

There are facts that need explaining, but not in an atmosphere of political witch-hunts.
- I did not possess such knowledge about the details of the operation of this Fund [Justice Fund], and I learned about this letter [from Jarosław Kaczyński to Zbigniew Ziobro from 2019] from the media - Michał Dworczyk said in "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" on TVN24. - There are facts that need explaining, but they should be explained objectively and not in an atmosphere of political witch-hunts, which is currently being pursued by, among others, lawyer Giertych or some Civic Platform politicians - he continued.

08:05

Dworczyk on Morawiecki:

He Has the Competencies That Predestine Him to Run for President.
- I believe that Mateusz Morawiecki today is the politician from the United Right who probably has the greatest credit of trust among Poles, alongside Mr. President Duda, and I believe he possesses the competencies that predestine him to run for the office of President of the Republic of Poland - Michał Dworczyk said on TVN24.

08:08

Dworczyk:

Ziobro is certainly politically responsible for what happened in his ministry
- Zbigniew Ziobro is certainly politically responsible for what happened in his ministry, while as for any other responsibility, I understand there are appropriate services assessing that – Michał Dworczyk said on TVN24.

08:10

Schetyna on Investigative Committees: Perhaps There Were Too Many, Leading to Cacophony

- The matter is very serious. Perhaps there were too many [hearings before the investigative committee] and it led to such a cacophony, that there was too much information, and it simply caused informational chaos in public opinion. However, the matter is serious, because it is also difficult to summarize and assess 8 years in a few months, a dozen or so weeks. It's not that obvious, that simple – stated Grzegorz Schetyna in PR1's “Sygnały dnia” (Signals of the Day).

08:12

Nowacka:

Rymkiewicz's Smolensk Poetry and the "Smolensk Sect" Should Not Be Part of the Reading Canon
- Rymkiewicz's Smolensk poetry and the "Smolensk sect" are not what should be in the reading canon. I will just remind you that it was placed on the list of required readings, like many other items, by Mr. Czarnek and Ms. Zalewska. This was a strictly political action - said Barbara Nowacka in an interview with Dominika Wielowieyska on TOK FM Morning. - If we are tidying up and depoliticizing the school, this is one of the elements. […] The fact that someone is not on the reading list does not mean they cannot be read - she added.

08:14

Dworczyk on the Functioning of the PiS Delegation in the EP:

Decisions Will Be Made This Week.
- As far as I know, there are no such talks today [about joining one group in the EP with the National Rally]. Today, discussions are underway about various possible formats for the functioning of the Law and Justice delegation, but this one is probably the least likely. Decisions will be made this week – said Michał Dworczyk on TVN24.

08:22

Tusk:

In Poland, at the last moment, we reversed this fatal course of events. Let's not waste this

- They like Putin, money, and power without control. They rule or are just reaching for power in Eastern and Western Europe. They are joining forces in the European Parliament. In Poland, at the last moment, we reversed this fatal course of events. Let's not waste this - wrote Prime Minister Donald Tusk on Twitter.

08:23

Nowacka:

Being criticized for depoliticizing schools causes surprise, but I accept it with humility
- I have the right, also as a human being who has experienced a lot in my life from the Smolensk sect, to have a negative opinion of its leading poet. Please forgive me, but this has absolutely nothing to do with what is on the reading list, which was not prepared by me, but by experts - said Barbara Nowacka in Poranek TOK FM. - Indeed, I have an emotional relationship with the Smolensk sect and also with what PiS (Law and Justice party) did to education. So if the demand 'depoliticize schools' has been made for years, then being criticized for doing so, especially from independent media, causes me some surprise, although I accept it with full humility - she continued.

08:31

Nowacka on the New Reading List:

I Didn't Supervise It, I Never Met the Expert Team.
- This is how the reading list is constructed, that the minister, in this case, the minister, does not supervise it. I chose the experts… I never met the expert team. I met the chairperson once and I didn't share my thoughts with the experts, because that's what an independent process entails - said Barbara Nowacka on TOK FM Morning. - They had one person on the team who had previously worked in teams during the PiS era, and thanks to her, they knew which readings were manually included for political reasons - she continued. - This activity is attributed to me. I accept it, as the person who signs off on it, I bear responsibility for the reading list. However, I would very much appreciate it if people didn't say that I chose something, added something, or wrote something in - she went on to say.

08:40

Sroka on Ziobro's Hearing Today:

Effectively Justified His Absence.

- I have just received information from the commission's secretariat that a relevant certificate issued by the court doctor has been submitted, meaning former minister Zbigniew Ziobro has effectively justified his absence. Therefore, he will not appear before the commission at 10 AM - stated Magdalena Sroka on PR3.

- It is indicated until July 7th with the possibility of extension for a further period. So, we will be making decisions on whether to seek expert opinion evidence to set the earliest possible date for Zbigniew Ziobro's hearing, because it must be emphasized that illness does not absolve anyone of responsibility for the actions they have committed - she added.

08:52

Nowacka:

We Will Not Pay for More Than One Hour of Religion
- If any local government wants to supplement with its own funds or other sources for additional religion classes, I see no obstacles, because they will be able to rent a room. I also think that churches and religious associations will be able to supplement religion lessons in exactly the same way - said Barbara Nowacka on TOK FM Morning. - However, if we look at the curriculum where a child in grades 7-8 has one hour of, for example, physics or chemistry, and two hours of religion, we must ask ourselves: what should school teach? - she continued. - The Ministry does not deal with various extracurricular activities funded by local governments. [...] Here I am limiting religion classes conducted by the state and we will not pay for more than one hour - she emphasized.

08:56

Politicians Seek Various Sources of Support. Gliński on Funding for Campaigns from the Justice Fund
- We have always strived to meet or raise the standards that should apply in politics, and this letter, if it is genuine [from Kaczyński to Ziobro], because I wasn't aware of this situation. I'm telling you again, I wasn't aware of this matter, but it is true that all politicians, of all options, look for various sources of support during a political campaign, whether public or electoral – stated Piotr Gliński in the program "Graffiti" on Polsat News.

09:00

Gliński on the Justice Fund:

Disciplining Extreme Factions is Incredibly Difficult.
- In politics, not everything is so clear and logical, especially if there is a large grouping that consists of various factions. Disciplining, especially extreme or radical factions, and such a role was played on the one hand by Gowin and Porozumienie, and on the other by Solidarna Polska or Suwerenna Polska, is incredibly difficult because playing to their rather distinct or extreme voters often happens at the expense of centrist politicians like myself. I was attacked, not by accident, by Zbigniew Ziobro's circle to mobilize that extreme electorate, which did not accept actions described as too soft or liberal - said Piotr Gliński in Polsat News, when asked if the PiS environment hadn't done too little to settle the matter of the Justice Fund.

09:04

Nowacka Confirms Tusk's Presence at Campus and Invitation to Other Coalition Leaders
- I confirm that [Donald Tusk will be at Campus Polska Przyszłości] - announced Barbara Nowacka on TOK FM Morning. - Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, Szymon Hołownia, and Włodzimierz Czarzasty are also invited - she added. - I don't know who will be announcing – perhaps they will announce something – but to my knowledge, it won't be the start of Rafał Trzaskowski's campaign, although I hope Rafał Trzaskowski's campaign will begin when the campaign begins, that Rafał will be our candidate and that he will win the presidential election - she continued.

09:04

Gliński Accuses Tusk and Bodnar of Permitting Torture of Prisoners
- These are primarily scandalous matters when it comes to legal issues, because we have indeed been hearing for many months or years that we will be held accountable, that we are thieves. I protest against such things, because it is obviously pouring poison into public life, constantly fueling conflict, and building politics on hatred and extreme emotions all the time, when the results regarding breaking the law or specific accusations are nil. On the other hand, we also have such demonstrative terrorizing of society, for example, by treating political prisoners. In Poland, there were political prisoners; Wąsik and Kamiński were political prisoners – said Piotr Gliński on Polsat News. - This is a scandal for which Donald Tusk is responsible, and of course Bodnar and the people directly overseeing this, because this is plain torture [of Father Olszewski]. I said, even the Council of Europe considers this forced feeding as torture. These tortures are applied in order to frighten us, but also to frighten and terrorize society – he added.

09:09

"It Doesn't End the Matter": Gliński on Restoring Exhibits at the WWII Museum
- Unfortunately, [the return of Father Kolbe and the Ulma family to the main exhibition of the Second World War Museum in Gdańsk] doesn't end the matter, because it is difficult to trust people who not only decided on such an arrogant move, but it was basically known that it was done precisely to show that we can do anything, that we can falsify Polish history in such a brazen way – stated Piotr Gliński on Polsat News.

09:13

Gliński on the Potential Name Change of PiS to Biało-Czerwoni:

We Must Also Think About Uniting the Entire Right-Wing.
- We have long been saying that this common Biało-Czerwoni front should think about being together, and in this context, I also appeal to Małopolska. We must fight against a Poland where there are political prisoners, where people are persecuted, where there are arrests for extracting confessions, where we have censorship – we must fight all of this, which is why we must be together and we must also think about uniting the entire right-wing and the entire patriotic faction in Poland – said Piotr Gliński in Polsat News, when asked about the possible name change of PiS to Biało-Czerwoni.

10:13

New Hearing Date Set for Ziobro Before Pegasus Inquiry Commission
- Since the certificate we possess states that Mr. Ziobro's sick leave is until July 7th, I propose that we, at this moment, also agreeing with Minister Ziobro's request, which he submitted in writing, set the hearing date for July 10th - said Magdalena Sroka during the meeting of the Pegasus inquiry commission. - Bearing in mind the fact of illness, wishing Zbigniew Ziobro a speedy recovery, but there are no equals and more equal ones. The commission will not cease to work and sooner or later will question the minister. If this does not succeed on July 10th, we will apply to experts to determine the earliest possible date for the hearing - she continued.

11:00

Błaszczak Demands Government Consider "Stop July Hikes" Bill
- On July 1st, the increases became a fact. Increases in energy prices, increases in gas prices, system heating – this is all that Donald Tusk and his team are gifting Polish households with. This is a sign of the incompetence of the government of the 13th of December coalition. Today, we are dealing with an attempt to obscure the reality of this situation. Minister Hennig-Kloska, the deputy minister in that ministry, is trying to spin various tales that the burden of the price increases will be less than expected. Ladies and gentlemen, the increases are real, they are a fact. They have been implemented in two stages, so to speak: first, on July 1st, meaning today, energy prices are rising, and then on January 1st of next year, there will be another increase - said Mariusz Błaszczak at a press conference. - Speaker Hołownia says that we knew what was coming, so we should have reacted earlier by submitting the citizen's bill "Stop July Hikes." We reacted in time. Firstly, it was the Law and Justice government that introduced the energy shield, thereby freezing energy prices until the middle of this year. Secondly, as early as January of this year, we submitted a club bill extending precisely this energy shield, but it was rejected by the 13th of December coalition. And thirdly, on June 9th, we submitted a citizen's bill, under which over 140,000 Poles signed. This bill was not put on the agenda at the Sejm session that concluded last Friday. The Marshal of the Sejm says that the Sejm will consider this bill at the next session, but knowing those who rule Poland today, this bill will likely end up in a committee and lie there - he continued. - We demand that the government of the 13th of December coalition consider the citizen's bill "Stop July Hikes" to introduce clear rules of support for people, meaning rules like those that existed during the rule of Law and Justice, not through humiliating procedures, applications that households are supposed to submit to whom? To social welfare? All of this is aimed at the dignity of people. It is humiliating, it is stigmatizing, if this is how the government of the 13th of December coalition proposes to alleviate the price increases that it itself introduced [...]. We demand that the citizen's bill [...] become binding law in our country - he went on to say.

11:05

Błaszczak on Reports of Kaczyński's 2019 Letter to Ziobro:

Another Dud.
- One could describe this publication by Gazeta Wyborcza as another dud from Gazeta Wyborcza; it's already a whole series of duds. Secondly, please pay attention to the statements in this letter, assuming the instances are confirmed. Prime Minister Jarosław Kaczyński has always ensured a high standard in matters concerning transparency in public life. Therefore, when media outcry arose, he addressed Minister Zbigniew Ziobro in writing with a request for clarification. Explanations were provided, and thus, the whole matter focuses on this dud from Gazeta Wyborcza - Mariusz Błaszczak said at a press conference.

11:15

Tusk:

Rzeszów was one of the places, which may cause justified surprise, from which an ABW delegation was withdrawn

- Rzeszów was one of those places, which today may cause justified surprise, from which an ABW delegation was withdrawn a few years ago. As you, the public, likely remember, for reasons that remain unknown and incomprehensible to me, it was seemingly 2017 when the decision was made to close 10 ABW delegations, including one in a city like Rzeszów, in a location like this. Together with the minister, the head of ABW, we met with ABW officers who work here on the ground - stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk in Rzeszów.

11:18

Błaszczak on the Case of Father Olszewski:

It Reminds Me of What Happened in the Polish People's Republic. This Can Be Called Torture.
- What is happening in the case of Father Olszewski is reminiscent of everything that happened during the Polish People's Republic, i.e., extraction arrest, the arrest of a priest on a priestly holiday, that is, on Maundy Thursday before Easter, attempts to intimidate public opinion, attempts to introduce something that is typical not of democratic states, but of the Polish People's Republic, of the East, these are Putin-like methods, methods of Lukashenko, Putin, that's how they operate. Of course, this matter cannot be silenced, we will react, we will inform institutions that deal with human rights monitoring. This can be called torture - said Mariusz Błaszczak at a press conference.

11:25

Tusk:

We are Restoring 10 ABW Delegations

- I wanted here, in Rzeszów, on the day we are restoring 10 ABW delegations, to sincerely thank all those who dedicate their time and sometimes risk their lives and health to protect the daily lives of Polish women and men. Poland is a very safe country, despite the extraordinary pressure around our borders, also thanks to the service and readiness to sacrifice their time and utilize the skills of people like those I spoke with today – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk in Rzeszów.

11:28

Tusk Comments on French Elections:

Protecting Poland from a Scenario of Political Confrontation Between Radical and Ideological Camps.

- In my opinion, we need to look at the broader political changes currently happening in Europe, and in several other European countries, we also see the advance of radical, extremist political environments from both the left and the right. I want to state clearly that Poland today is becoming an example of such common sense and a rational approach to politics. In France, on election day, we witnessed this great confrontation between the radical right and the radical left, two ideologically charged camps. My personal task, and that of the ruling coalition, is to protect Poland from the scenario that is becoming increasingly evident in some European countries – a scenario of political confrontation precisely between radical and highly ideological political camps – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk in Rzeszów.

11:36

Tusk on the Need to Protect Poland from a Clash of Radical Wings:

Let's Stick to the Middle Ground.
This Polish path, which I proposed on October 15th together with our coalition partners, is meant to be a path of moderation, common sense, and a practical approach to political tasks, without what is unfortunately so characteristic today in European politics, in many places in Europe – without ferocity and without ideological blindness. We in Poland were a step away from this misfortune, and I dedicate this message to everyone active in public life in Poland – help me, help us protect Poland from this great clash of radical wings. Let's stay straight, let's stick to the middle ground – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk in Rzeszów.

11:47

Tusk Comments on the Situation in the Małopolska Voivodeship Assembly:

Shows the Crisis in Kaczyński’s Party Like a Magnifying Glass.

- The situation in the Małopolska Voivodeship Assembly shows the crisis in President Kaczyński’s party like a magnifying glass. He always had very significant authority in his party, he ruled, he distributed without any doubt, he had 100% of the shares in his hands. The situation in Małopolska, where a rebellion by part of PiS against Kaczyński is already obvious, very demonstrative, in my opinion, shows a certain trend. It is not my headache, it is not my task to worry about the stability and future of PiS, but it is certainly visible that PiS is shaking right now from these emotions and internal conflicts - stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk in Rzeszów.

11:49

Tusk on PiS Losing Power in Małopolska:

It Seems Very Likely to Me.

- Does this mean that PiS will lose power in Małopolska? It seems very likely to me - stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk in Rzeszów.

11:56

PiS Chairman Should Immediately Answer Three Questions," Tusk on Kaczyński’s Letter to Ziobro
- Regarding the alleged letter from Jarosław Kaczyński [to Zbigniew Ziobro], I have only three questions. […] Jarosław Kaczyński should answer all three of these questions immediately. Not because I am asking these questions, but because he owes it to the public, and also to his voters – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk in Rzeszów. - The first obvious question: is this a genuine letter? Did Jarosław Kaczyński actually send a letter warning against the illegal use of funds from the Fund for the Help of Victims and Post-Release Assistance for the election campaign of United Right politicians? – he said. - Secondly: in connection with what he wrote in this letter, did Jarosław Kaczyński actually know about the scale of this phenomenon of illegal use of public funds, which were intended to help victims of crimes and accidents? Illegal use for the election campaign of his political camp – he continued to ask. - The third, most important question: if he had this knowledge, if he shared this knowledge in this letter with his political partners, did he inform the prosecution about such things, and when? […] I remind you, every public official, including a Member of Parliament – Jarosław Kaczyński has been such an official, one might say, forever – is legally obliged to immediately inform the prosecutor’s office about the possibility of a crime being committed if they witness or possess such knowledge – he continued. - Mr. Jarosław, you should answer these questions primarily to the public, before you answer them to law enforcement agencies – the Prime Minister emphasized.

13:00

Duda on Poland's Development:

We Need Investments That Will Elevate Us to a Higher Level.

- Today, we need investments that will elevate us to a higher level. There is no reason why we should not undertake the largest investments, the kind that are being realized on a global scale, the kind that are often undertaken simultaneously in truly powerful and truly wealthy countries. You all know which investments we are primarily referring to. We have been talking about this very often recently: CPK (Central Communication Port), the energy transformation that the EU and the world are forcing upon us with their climate protection regulations. We have no choice, we must carry out the energy transformation, we must build nuclear power plants on our country's territory. Alongside this, we must implement major projects related to obtaining renewable energy. Finally, the expansion of Polish ports, which means creating a base for us to have a broader spectrum of trade opportunities, transport opportunities – stated President Andrzej Duda at a meeting of the Council for Strategic Development Projects.

13:01

Duda Accuses Government of Lacking Will to Implement Key Investments
I invited you to this body because we are aware that the policy being implemented by the newly elected authorities of the Republic of Poland in recent months raises many doubts. In this context, whether these major investments that were planned will be continued by the current authorities, or whether they will actually build CPK as the airport that was envisioned – a truly great hub, a major transport center that is meant to elevate us to a global level, and not be just another regional airport. I understand that there is an airport in Berlin, but let our western neighbors have their airport and enjoy its existence and operation. We also want to have our airport – said President Andrzej Duda at a meeting of the Council for Strategic Development Projects.

15:16

PSL Joins Forces with Civic Coalition to Nominate Marshal Candidate for Lesser Poland

A session of the Lesser Poland Voivodeship Sejmik is underway, during which the third attempt to elect a marshal will take place. PiS's candidate is again Łukasz Kmita. The PSL club, together with KO, has also nominated its candidate – Krzysztof Klęczar from PSL.

15:43

Civic Platform Wants National Election Commission to Re-examine PiS Financial Report for 2019
- The letter formulated by Jarosław Kaczyński to Zbigniew Ziobro unequivocally settles that Jarosław Kaczyński knew about the prohibited, illegal practices related to financing the election campaign of Solidarna Polska candidates using funds from the Justice Fund - said Michał Szczerba at a press conference in the Sejm. - Until now, it has been frequently emphasized that events related to the Justice Fund burden Solidarna Polska. Today, we clearly state, and we have evidence for it, that what happened with the Justice Fund burdens Zbigniew Ziobro, Jarosław Kaczyński, and Prime Minister Morawiecki equally. […] Prime Minister Morawiecki also directed a letter to the Minister, Prosecutor General Zbigniew Ziobro, requesting clarification of all doubts regarding the functioning of the Justice Fund. We have no information that he received a response - said Agnieszka Pomaska in turn. - Jarosław Kaczyński confirmed that money from the Justice Fund was spent on the illegal financing of an election campaign. This should, firstly, result in the withdrawal of PiS's subsidy today, but in our opinion […] it should perhaps also lead to the necessity of PiS returning the money they have received from the state budget so far - she emphasized. The MP announced that together with Szczerba, they will submit a motion to the National Election Commission (PKW) to examine not only the financial report [of PiS] for the previous year, 2023, but also to re-initiate […] proceedings and check the financial reports, especially for 2019, which was the previous election year.

16:08

Małopolska Still Without a Marshal. Kmita and Klęczar Lack the Required Majority

The third attempt to elect the Marshal of the Małopolska Voivodeship has once again failed to bring a resolution.

Łukasz Kmita, nominated for the third time by PiS, received 14 votes. In contrast, Krzysztof Klęczar from PSL – proposed by KO and the Peasants' Party – garnered 18 votes. Consequently, neither candidate achieved the required majority. A total of 7 out of 39 votes cast were invalid.

19:39

Another Failed Attempt to Elect a New Marshal of Lesser Poland. A New Session Date Set

Another attempt today to elect the Marshal of the Lesser Poland Voivodeship again yielded no decision.

Łukasz Kmita, nominated by PiS, received 16 votes. In contrast, Krzysztof Klęczar from PSL – proposed by KO and the Peasants' Party – garnered 19 votes. Consequently, neither candidate secured the required majority – though Klęczar was just one vote short. 4 votes were declared invalid.

A session has been convened for tomorrow at 6:00 PM, during which there will be another attempt to elect a new Marshal.

19:47

Bartoszewski:

If Kaczyński's letter to Ziobro is authentic, it points to criminal activity by Sovereign Poland
- For now, it is unknown whether this letter [from Jarosław Kaczyński to Zbigniew Ziobro from 2019] is authentic. This type of information must be verified, and Prime Minister Tusk also emphasized this, who asked relevant questions in connection with this letter, because he also has no certainty whether it is true – said Władysław Teofil Bartoszewski in an interview with Dariusz Ociepa on the program "Gość Wydarzeń" on Polsat News.

- About the criminal activity of Mr. Zbigniew Ziobro's party and about the sin of omission, which is also punishable in the Polish legal system, i.e., if a state official, if a public person, and Mr. President Kaczyński is a public person and was a public person, at one point even a Deputy Prime Minister, if such a person has knowledge of the commission of a crime and does not report it to the prosecutor's office, then this is also punishable – he continued, when asked what this letter indicates if it is authentic.

19:49

Klęczar Withdraws from Race for Marshal of Małopolska, Announces New Candidate
- Once again, I would like to extend my sincere thanks for all the votes cast for me. I hereby declare that the project we presented has been tested today. It achieved a decent result, but it did not gain approval - said the Małopolska Voivode, Krzysztof Klęczar, during the regional assembly session. - In light of the above, I will not continue to pursue my colleague Kmita, and I am deeply convinced that the assembly majority will soon nominate a candidate for Marshal who will gain broad approval, and that person will not be my humble self - declared the candidate nominated by KO and PSL.

19:52

Bartoszewski on Kmita:

PiS Insists on Backing an Unpopular Candidate.
- PiS has insisted on backing an extremely unpopular candidate [...] whom his colleagues do not want to support, because, from what I hear, he behaved in an exceptionally impolite manner towards them when he was voivode - said Władysław Teofil Bartoszewski on Polsat News, referring to the race for the Marshal of Lesser Poland position and Łukasz Kmita's candidacy.

19:56

Bartoszewski on the Future of the Third Way:

We Said We Are Continuing Our Cooperation, We Are Moving Forward Together.
- There was a joint meeting of the two parliamentary clubs, Poland 2050-Third Way and PSL-Third Way. I wasn't there because I was in China with President Andrzej Duda. However, the outcome of the meeting was that we said we are continuing our cooperation, we are moving forward together - said Władysław Teofil Bartoszewski on Polsat News. - I would vote exactly the same way, to continue - he added.

20:07

Grabiec on Kaczyński's Letter:

He Must Stand Before the Prosecutor for This.
This is a huge blow for PiS, a blow that could signify the biggest turmoil in the party's history, really, because for the first time, we not only have the conviction that Jarosław Kaczyński, that PiS knew about the criminal activity of the Justice Fund. That these public funds were allocated for the election campaign, but we have proof in this matter, proof that is signed by Jarosław Kaczyński himself. It's hard to get anything more direct, more spectacular, something that could be the subject of legal proceedings, but also proceedings by the National Electoral Commission. I think there is truly great fear, great anxiety within PiS today about what might happen – stated Jan Grabiec on the program "Fakty po faktach" on TVN24. – One could say he did it in self-defense, but he documented that he had such knowledge. If a public official knew about a crime, they had to report it. I think the prosecutor's office will have a very wide scope here for investigating this situation. Perhaps there are still some other pieces of evidence to support this, perhaps witnesses will be found who will confirm it. I think Jarosław Kaczyński will have to stand before the prosecutor and explain this situation very thoroughly – he continued.

20:09

Wójcik to Sroka: You'll Face Charges When the Government Changes

- Madam MP [Magdalena Sroka] will face charges the moment there is a change of power. Under [Article] 231. You can write that down. Read it carefully, precisely what that article says. You will face charges because you do not respect the protective provisions - stated Michał Wójcik on TVN24's "Kropka nad i".
