Schetyna:

We Need Intense Engagement, a Policy of Delivering on Electoral Commitments

- We simply need a high intensity of engagement, a policy that will be about delivering, about fulfilling matters and electoral commitments. All of those things we spoke about during the elections, and this is the time, these are the months when we must do it. It's next year's budget, it's the implementation of the promises we made in the elections. We now have 11 months until the next elections – the presidential ones – and everything is in our hands – stated Grzegorz Schetyna in the program "Sygnały Dnia" on PR1.

Sawicki Announces Kosiniak-Kamysz's Talk with The Left on Civil Partnerships:

Exploratory and Courteous.
- Today, President Kosiniak-Kamysz, as the leader of the Polish People's Party, will be talking with representatives of The Left [...] but I consider this conversation to be exploratory and courteous, because the President is well aware that as far as the Polish People's Party is concerned, the issue raised by The Left [civil partnerships] is neither included in our statute nor in our program. There is no party discipline here, no obligation. So, of course, in politics, one must talk and listen to each other's arguments, but I do not think this conversation will change the behavior and voting decisions of a significant portion of PSL politicians - Marek Sawicki said in an interview with Karol Surówka on "Sygnały Dnia" on PR1.

Attempt to Pave the Way for Same-Sex Couples to Adopt Children: Sawicki on Why He Won't Support the Partnership Bill
- Of course, I will not support the left-wing projects regarding either abortion or the issue of registered partnerships, because I want to clearly emphasize that registered partnerships, towards which the Left is somewhat softening its approach today, are solely and exclusively an attempt to prepare a broad road, a highway, for same-sex couples to adopt children. I am against this - said Marek Sawicki on PR1.

Schetyna on Ongoing Brussels Talks: "I Think a Vice-President of the European Commission for Poland is Possible"

- I think so [there is a chance to strengthen Poland's position in EU institutions], here specifically I can speak at the EPP level, the position of Donald Tusk, former head of the EPP, today his involvement in conducting these political negotiations with other political families, I believe so, that it makes great sense – said Grzegorz Schetyna on PR1.

- I think it is possible [a Vice-President of the European Commission for Poland], this is a matter of defence policy, it is the building of this coalition in a new way, but in a stable enough manner that will guarantee Poland's participation at this most important table, I think we will witness good news coming to us from Brussels – he added.

08:48

Schetyna:

Trzaskowski is the Obvious Civic Coalition Candidate for President

- Our candidate, certainly the primary and obvious one for us, is Rafał Trzaskowski. That's how I would put it for today, but as for what the situation will be as it evolves, as we approach the candidate selection, whether it's just for the Civic Coalition or also for the entire democratic coalition of October 15th, we shall see, it's all ahead of us – stated Grzegorz Schetyna on PR1.

08:49

Błaszczak:

I hope those who didn't participate in the referendum have woken up and understood they were deceived
- The Migration Pact that has been adopted, all this policy associated with the mainstream's activity in the EU, meaning Berlin, to put it plainly - a policy Donald Tusk has succumbed to, because he owes his position as Prime Minister of Poland to Berlin. And although he sometimes says something different, this policy is consistent. They are preparing hell for us, just like in Western Europe - said Mariusz Błaszczak in an interview with Łukasz A. Jankowski on Radio Wnet. - I hope that those who did not participate in the referendum, because Donald Tusk solemnly invalidated the referendum before the elections to the Polish parliament, have woken up and understood that they have been deceived - he added.

08:55

Sawicki on a potential joint presidential candidate for the entire ruling coalition:

In politics, you never say never.
- We didn't create the Third Way, Poland 2050, and the Polish People's Party a year and a half ago to talk about presidential elections in terms of a single candidate today. But in politics, you never say never; the question is who that candidate will be. I assure [...] that it certainly won't be Rafał Trzaskowski, but in my assessment, it will be Donald Tusk. [...] Let's wait until the right candidates emerge, and then we can see if any support can be given to them. I would encourage the Third Way to put forward its own candidate - said Marek Sawicki on PR1, responding to Grzegorz Schetyna's suggestion that a joint candidate for the entire coalition for president is possible.

08:58

Sawicki on Trzaskowski's Decision Regarding Crosses:

If They Bother Him So Much, Let Him Not Look at Them.
- Don't expect me, a conservative, a Catholic, to support a candidate who, at the very end of his campaign for the European Parliament, issues an order to remove crosses from public places. If they bother him so much, let him not look at them - said Marek Sawicki in PR1.

09:00

Błaszczak:

We Pursued a Migration Policy Focused on Not Allowing Entry
- We were accused of not pursuing a migration policy. We were pursuing a migration policy. The migration policy was focused on not allowing entry, being aware that in 2015 a series of terrorist attacks occurred in Western Europe. We didn't want that in Poland, and we didn't allow it to happen in Poland - said Mariusz Błaszczak on Radio Wnet.

09:02

How Should Sunday Trade Look? Sawicki Points to Three Elements
- It should be voluntary work on Sundays, that's one. Two, double pay and three, a day off for that work on Sundays or important holidays. So I want this to be regulated - said Marek Sawicki on PR1.

09:05

Błaszczak:

Poland Ceases to Be a Safe Country Under Tusk's Rule
- Now, under the rule of the December 13 coalition, if nothing changes, we will have what Western Europe has. Poland is ceasing to be a safe country under Tusk's rule - Mariusz Błaszczak said on Radio Wnet. - When I hear that the Deputy Minister of the Interior and Administration says that they will now investigate what we are hearing about: a German police car brought a family from the Middle East to the Polish side, dropped them off, and drove away. They will investigate now? They are supposed to ensure that such incidents do not happen in our country - he continued.

09:12

Sawicki on Alleged Blocking of Biomethane Investments by Foreign Corporations:

ABW Should Investigate This,
- Everything is going to waste because some interest groups are preparing for large investments in Poland for external corporations, and [...] some brakes have been applied to Polish companies that prevent them from investing. I understand now, large-scale investments in biomethane, that someone, some external interests are ensuring our companies don't develop, and ABW should deal with this. But I don't understand why small farms are not allowed [...] to build such biogas plants at the level of 50 to 500 kWh, which, besides providing money, process waste products from the farm, also provide free heat to local communities - said Marek Sawicki in PR1.

09:42

Błaszczak:

Filing a motion of no confidence against Kosiniak-Kamysz wouldn't change anything
- Donald Tusk should lose his job. Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, I think the problem with him is that he is incapable of opposing Tusk. He doesn't have the character that would give him such strength - Mariusz Błaszczak said on Radio Wnet. - I am wondering if Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz is drawing conclusions from what happened on June 9th. From the fact that he was shamefully defeated by Donald Tusk, because support for Third Way hit rock bottom. [...] Tusk built himself up at the expense of Kosiniak-Kamysz and Hołownia - he continued. He was asked why there wasn't a motion of no confidence against the Minister of National Defence. The host pointed out that such a motion was quickly filed against Marcin Kierwiński, while PiS politicians are very lenient towards Kosiniak-Kamysz. - We are not. We speak directly, we assess the situation. But it wouldn't change anything - replied the head of the PiS parliamentary club. - The problem is Tusk - he stated.

11:15

Błaszczak Announces Parliamentary Inspection at the Border Guard Headquarters

- In a moment, together with MPs Andrzej Śliwka and Janusz Kowalski, we will commence our parliamentary inspection at the Border Guard Headquarters. In a state governed by Donald Tusk, it turns out that Russian spies can escape from this state. Thus, Tusk's state expels spies instead of detaining them, allowing them to escape, while opening its doors to migrants from both the eastern and western borders. This will be the subject of our inspection, referring to the events that residents of Podlasie have recently witnessed, who asked us for intervention regarding groups of people from Africa or the Middle East moving through the Podlasie Voivodeship. We also refer to residents of the Lubuskie and West Pomeranian Voivodeships who were outraged by migrants being pushed across the border into Poland from Germany - stated Mariusz Błaszczak at a press briefing.

- We are dealing with inertia of state institutions governed by the December 13 coalition. I posit that this inertia is intentional. After all, Donald Tusk did not solemnly invalidate the referendum on ensuring border security with Belarus during last year's election campaign, he did not count on the support of Berlin and Brussels in his bid to seize power in Warsaw, only to now oppose Berlin and the EU - he added.

13:58

Sroka Announces Notifications to Prosecutor's Office Regarding Individuals Questioned by Pegasus Investigative Committee
- The testimony of today's witness, Mr. Marek Bieńkowski, confirms that there were enormous irregularities. The rapid pace of legislative changes, the violation of legal norms, but also the unmasking during the purchase of the Pegasus system by the Central Anticorruption Bureau (CBA). Our previous hearings have also been confirmed. The questioning of witnesses from the Ministry of Justice, who in reality did not know what they were doing, did not know what operation they were participating in, claimed to have no memory, but also indicated that they were only evaluating documents substantively, and in reality, they did not know what they were processing. All of this indicates that this entire operation, this rapid process of legislative changes, was planned from the outset, and a small group of people knew about it, whose goal was to disburse funds from the Justice Fund, once for the purchase of the Pegasus system, and here there was an agreement between Mr. Mariusz Kamiński and Zbigniew Ziobro – stated Magdalena Sroka at a press conference. - We are in the process of preparing notifications of criminal offenses by individuals questioned by us so far, and we will inform you about this in the near future – she added.

14:28

Tusk ahead of informal EU summit:

I am very satisfied with the cooperation with the current and – I believe – future head of the EC.

- I am very satisfied with the cooperation with the current and – I believe – future head of the EC. And it's not about my personal satisfaction, although we are friends, but I have a full understanding of matters fundamental to Poland, especially concerning security, the dome over our sky, the eastern border, fortification, these difficult migrations, difficult topics that have so far been ambiguous in Europe. Here, we have really well discussed things, and I believe we will derive significant benefit from this as a country – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk in a conversation with journalists in Brussels.

14:33

Polsat Issues Statement on Gawryluk's Presidential Election Bid
Dorota Gawryluk will not be participating as a candidate in the upcoming presidential elections. Polsat Television, nor any of its journalists, is involved in any political campaign, including electoral ones. Polsat remains and will remain the most objective and reliable television station in Poland. Polsat Television journalists perform their work objectively, reliably, and independently – it was stated in the announcement. "The fact that various individuals, including employees of companies competing with Polsat Television and Polsat's Interia, are trying to compete with us through 'anonymous reports' and associate us with either the left or right side of the political scene, is an action that goes beyond standard, good-mannered, and fair competition. Especially associating one of Polsat Television's journalists with a presidential race that has not even begun and placing her name in published polls is manipulation. What we can assure you is the fact that journalists working at Polsat Television will not be running in presidential, parliamentary, or local elections. Meanwhile, we invite you to watch the last episode of Dorota Gawryluk's program 'Lepsza Polska' on Polsat Television this Thursday, before the holidays."

15:12

Mastalerek on Presidential Elections:

I Truly Don't Think About Running Today.
- I can truly say, hand on my heart, that I am not thinking today, at this moment, about whether I will run or not, and who will run at all, and I am not thinking about these [presidential] elections at all – said Marcin Mastalerek in the program "Fakt Live".

15:15

Mastalerek:

If PiS Doesn't Seek Duda's Support, They Won't Achieve a Good Result
- If the Law and Justice party does not refer to the achievements of Andrzej Duda's presidency, to the legacy of Andrzej Duda's presidency, and does not seek his support, then they will not achieve a good result - stated Marcin Mastalerek during the program "Fakt Live".

15:19

Tusk on His Priorities in Negotiations at the Informal EU Summit:

This is What Our Voters Want.
- Poland wants a decisive and strong Europe on issues of security, migration, the rule of law, and defense. Ready to finance these needs. This is what our voters want. These are my priorities in the negotiations that are just beginning - wrote Prime Minister Donald Tusk on social media.

15:20

Mastalerek:

President Has Launched a Campaign for Increased NATO Defense Spending
- The President has launched a campaign concerning increased spending by NATO, by all NATO states. This 3% [of GDP on defense] is a symbol, but it will likely take not months, but perhaps even years. It's not as if all states will change their minds with the wave of a magic wand - said Marcin Mastalerek in the program "Fakt Live".

15:28

Mastalerek:

Minister Bandych Fell Victim to a Slanderous Article
- The author of this text has written unreliably many times, one could say, slanderous pieces about me, inventing completely fabricated stories, and it seems to me that Minister Bandych has fallen victim to exactly such a slanderous article, because I don't know anyone who would have such accusations against them. There are a few frustrated individuals who desperately wanted to build careers in the Presidential Palace, but they are not succeeding [...] they are not there, among other reasons, because they invented fabricated stories and ran to journalists with them [...]. I am convinced that these two men are behind this article about Minister Bandych; out of pity, I will not reveal their names so as not to promote them, but we have them diagnosed – said Marcin Mastalerek during the program "Fakt Live".

15:39

Mastalerek:

If Hołownia and Kosiniak-Kamysz Implement PO's Program, They'll Have to Be on Its Lists
- I know that President Andrzej Duda will require the Prime Minister to present this candidacy [for the Polish commissioner to the EC] and for President Andrzej Duda to accept it. The question for Marshal Hołownia is as follows: will Marshal Hołownia also want it to be sent to him in accordance with the law, or will he again pretend that nothing is happening and rubber-stamp Prime Minister Tusk's policy blindly? Because the fact that Trzecia Droga has today fallen below the 8% threshold [...] and in reality, the fact that Trzecia Droga might disappear from Polish politics, is solely the result of the leaders of Trzecia Droga, instead of implementing their program, which they promised in the elections, deciding to blindly implement the Civic Platform's program – said Marcin Mastalerek in the program "Fakt Live". - If Szymon Hołownia and Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz continue to implement the Civic Platform's program, it is obvious that they will have to end up on the Civic Platform's lists, be absorbed as appendages – he continued.

18:09

Morawiecki:

Germany is Crossing the Boundaries of Insolence, and the Current Government – Hypocrisy and Incompetence
- Illegal immigrants are crossing Poland's borders, Germany – insolence, and the current government – hypocrisy and incompetence. Our Homeland, our borders, our decisions – that's how it should be! – wrote Mateusz Morawiecki on social media.

18:14

Tusk Announces Conversation with Scholz:

Unacceptable Incident at the Border.
- I will be speaking shortly with Chancellor Scholz about an unacceptable incident involving German police and a family of migrants on our side of the border. The matter must be thoroughly investigated - Prime Minister Donald Tusk wrote on social media.

18:53

Tusk:

I Wouldn't Want Sikorski to Leave the Government

- I wouldn't want Radosław Sikorski to leave the government because he is a good Foreign Minister, and for me, the most important thing is to have a strong, efficient government, respected also in foreign affairs, of course, and Minister Sikorski guarantees this to the highest degree. Of course, it is known that Prime Minister Kaja Kallas is not our candidate. Whenever asked, I will say that she is very credible on matters of Ukraine and Russia, presenting views that I also share, but it is up to other leaders to effectively support her. I certainly will not hinder this. We have our own matters to attend to - stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk in an interview with journalists in Brussels.

19:48

Dziemianowicz-Bąk on the Polish-German Border Incident:

A Scandal and an Abuse of Trust.
- This incident, this situation [the bringing of migrants to Poland by German police officers] truly must be investigated to the very core, because procedures were clearly violated here, and what happened occurred outside all principles - said Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bąk in a conversation with Bogdan Rymanowski on Polsat News's “Gość Wydarzeń” (Guest of Events). - This is definitely a scandal, it is an abuse of trust, and we should - and now I'm speaking about all actors on the international stage - do everything to ensure that this migration, asylum, and security policy is a policy beyond borders, in the sense that everyone on every side of the border cooperates with each other, because it's about our common European security - she emphasized.

20:13

Dziemianowicz-Bąk:

The Left Would Prefer Free Fridays, Not Working Sundays
- The Left has a tendency to want free Fridays for Polish employees, not working Sundays for more groups of workers. Mr. Petru's project is a project that, in my opinion, does not fulfill any significant social need. Why? Because almost no one wants it - said Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bąk on "Gość Wydarzeń" on Polsat News. - My conversations and analyses indicate that there is one group that is keenly interested in trade and work on Sundays appearing – that is shopping malls. I am not suggesting anything, as I have no basis for it, of course, but all analyses show that most Poles do not want trade on Sundays [...], employees don't want it, entrepreneurs don't want it. Shopping malls and Ryszard Petru want it - she continued.

20:26

Dziemianowicz-Bąk on Kotula's meeting with Kosiniak-Kamysz regarding registered partnerships:

I hope the matter will be concluded.
- Registered partnerships – a solution that same-sex couples are waiting for, but not only them, all those individuals who for some reason would like to live in such a union – this has always been a demand of the Left, but it is also a task that Prime Minister Donald Tusk assigned to the Minister for Equality, Katarzyna Kotula. Katarzyna Kotula has fulfilled this task perfectly: in several variants, several solutions, with full readiness for dialogue and compromise – said Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bąk in "Gość Wydarzeń" on Polsat News. - I know that another meeting is planned for the upcoming Thursday with Deputy Prime Minister Kosiniak-Kamysz. I hope that the matter will be concluded at this meeting – she added.

20:28

Czarzasty:

There Will Be No Changes to the Coalition Agreement
- I just wanted to remind you, really with distance and calmly, that three months ago I heard from politicians of the Third Way that it would be best to renegotiate the coalition agreement. I will not ask the politicians of the Third Way this question now, that because they have the same 6% as us, and we have 4 ministers, they should have not 7, but 4, because I consider it stupid and irresponsible - said Włodzimierz Czarzasty in an interview with Monika Olejnik on "Kropka nad i" on TVN24. - There will be no changes when it comes to the coalition agreement - he continued.

20:29

Dziemianowicz-Bąk on Civil Partnerships: Kotula Has Shown Understanding and Patience for Months
- If we want this good cooperation within the coalition to continue, we must show understanding and patience. Minister Kotula has been demonstrating such understanding and patience for months; she has proven to be a wellspring of patience when it comes to openness to discussing the civil partnerships act – said Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bąk on Polsat News’s „Gość Wydarzeń”.

20:33

Czarzasty on the Risk of Early Elections:

I Won't Demolish Something That Will Lead to PiS and Confederation Governing.
- We are responsible, and at this moment, criticism of the government from the democratic side might lead to the following: namely, to accelerated elections. If PiS and Confederation win in accelerated elections, and these European Parliament elections have shown that Poland is equally divided in half, then I believe such actions are irresponsible - said Włodzimierz Czarzasty on TVN24. - Regardless of the results, this government, the democratic side, and the remaining 3.5 years of this government's functioning are good for Poland - he continued. - I will try to change a lot, I will try with my female and male colleagues to change the narrative, but I will not demolish something that will lead to PiS and Confederation governing, because I consider that the greatest evil - he continued.

20:34

Bosacki:

Europe Needs a Firm, Predictable Migration Policy
- People are afraid, and they have reasons to be. Europe is a rich, large island in an ocean of much poorer, less prosperous, and less stable regions, both south and east of our borders, and that's why Europe must have a firm, predictable immigration policy – stated Marcin Bosacki on the program "Fakty po faktach" on TVN24.

20:37

Czarzasty on Civil Partnerships:

If the Only Dispute Was Child Adoption, Kosiniak-Kamysz Would Support the Bill.
- In this bill, as far as I know, there is no provision for child adoption by homosexual couples - Włodzimierz Czarzasty stated on TVN24, speaking about the civil partnerships act. - If the only dispute was the issue of child adoption, then I kindly inform you that Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz will support the bill submitted by Minister Kotula - he continued.

20:39

Dziemianowicz-Bąk Asked About Presidential Run:

Nothing Can Be Ruled Out.
- At this moment, I am fully focused on my work in the Ministry of Labour. We have many tasks to complete. What the future will bring – we shall see. In politics, nothing can be ruled out, but for today, I am concentrating on my work at the ministry – said Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bąk in "Gość Wydarzeń" on Polsat News, when asked if she would run in next year's presidential elections.

20:39

Czarzasty on How the Left's Presidential Candidate Will Be Chosen:

Discussion or Primaries.
- We will indicate him in the autumn. And I think it will be within the framework of a discussion or primaries that will take place within the parties - said Włodzimierz Czarzasty on TVN24, when asked about the Left's candidate in the presidential election.
