Arłukowicz on New Tapes: I Have the Impression This is Some Kind of Mafia Organization

- I am shaken. I have the impression that this is some kind of mafia organization. The language these people use amongst themselves, I admit, is unknown to me, but it is language they will likely operate with in places where this language becomes common. Perhaps they are preparing for it, learning, or perhaps they come from that environment - stated Bartosz Arłukowicz in "One on One" on TVN24.

07:38

Tusk:

Polish politicians must memorize this American lesson. All of them.

- The law decides guilt and punishment, regardless of whether the perpetrator is a president or a minister. Polish politicians must memorize this American lesson. All of them - Prime Minister Donald Tusk wrote on Twitter.

Rosa on the Potential Rejection of the President's Veto on the Silesian Language Act by the Sejm:

We Will Try to Find Such a Majority.
- I fear that such chances are rather small, but of course we will try to find such a majority - said Monika Rosa in an interview with Roch Kowalski on "24 questions" on PR24, when asked if there would be attempts in the Sejm to find a majority to reject the president's veto.

- For us in Silesia, who declare Silesian identity and use the Silesian language, there are over half a million people. And this is a bit like telling citizens of the Republic of Poland that their identity doesn't matter, that they are a threat to Poland, and Andrzej Duda hasn't really made the minimum effort to try to understand us, to broaden his perspective, and to open his mind to diversity - she continued.

08:01

Śmiszek:

I'm not going to the June 4th rally. Every party is doing its own job.
- I [am not going to Donald Tusk's rally]. I am campaigning for The Left in Lower Silesia. I invite everyone to The Left's conferences and events. Right now, every democratic party is holding its own events [...]. Every party should do its own job. I belong to The Left, I'm doing my job - said Krzysztof Śmiszek in an interview with Jacek Żakowski on TOK FM's Morning Show. - I agree with the Prime Minister. Of course, we have agreed that this evil will never return. We chased away evil on October 15th and we must do everything today, mobilize our electorates - The Left for the left, Civic Platform for the centre-right, and so on - so that this nightmare doesn't return so quickly - he continued.

08:05

Rosa on the Justice Fund: I Wonder if the Prosecutor's Office Will Pursue an Organized Crime Group Angle
- It looks a bit like an organized crime group, and of course, I wonder if the prosecutor's office will want to pursue that direction, not just abuse of power, but also an organized crime group, and also illegal financing of election campaigns, because there are many threads related to the Justice Fund - said Monika Rosa on PR24.

08:12

Rosa on votes to lift immunity:

No one's hand will tremble.
- No one's hand will tremble, we have a clear conviction here that those guilty must be held accountable - said Monika Rosa on PR24, when asked if anyone in the ruling coalition would hesitate when voting on requests to lift immunity in connection with the Fund for the Disadvantaged.

08:23

Śmiszek:

I Favor More Civilized Methods Than Sending Police to the Constitutional Tribunal and Locking It Down – Because Those Are PiS Methods
- Today's democratic majority acts differently than the previous one. The previous majority did everything haphazardly; the legislative process often lasted, for example, 9 hours, including the president's signature. Two draft laws have been submitted to parliament that will regulate and fix [the Constitutional Tribunal] - Krzysztof Śmiszek said on TOK FM's Morning Show. - I am in favor of carrying out these types of reforms normally, not haphazardly. Because if we agreed that we would use methods like PiS, we should bring in the army, the police to the Constitutional Tribunal, and lock it down completely… I am in favor of more civilized methods - he continued.

08:23

Arłukowicz:

I am a staunch opponent of relativizing what Kaczyński did

- I am a staunch opponent of relativizing what Jarosław Kaczyński did. It's not as if Jarosław Kaczyński is the only saint in that camp whose boys have run off and are stealing. That's not how it works. Jarosław Kaczyński consciously built his support base and party environment. Is it a coincidence that Czarnek ended up at the Ministry of Education, Romanowski at the Ministry of Interior, and Ziobro at PG (State Forests)? Is it a coincidence that Obajtek ended up at Orlen? Jarosław Kaczyński built this entire network. Kaczyński bears full responsibility for what happened with the Justice Fund, for what happened with the villas - stated Bartosz Arłukowicz in "Jeden na jeden" on TVN24.

08:24

Arłukowicz:

Kaczyński Built a Circle of People He Has Leverage Over

- Kaczyński built a circle of people he has leverage over, whom he controls through these types of mechanisms, and that's why they are so loyal to him, because in a normal job market or economic life, they wouldn't find their footing - stated Bartosz Arłukowicz in TVN24's "One on One".

08:25

Bocheński:

It's no coincidence the Justice Fund issue is surfacing a week before the elections
I think it's no coincidence that [the Justice Fund issue] is appearing a week before the elections. This is a politically orchestrated game, intended to mirror the visa scandal affair before the parliamentary elections. The aim is to bring PiS down in the polls and for Civic Coalition to overtake us in the European Parliament elections – stated Tobiasz Bocheński on the Polsat News program "Graffiti".

08:31

Bocheński on Mastalerok's Post: Unbecoming of the Head of the Presidential Chancellery

- I am doubly disappointed by Mr. Mastalerok's statement. He has repeatedly said that he is not a politician, but an official of the president, and that his job is to present the president's position, to represent the president and to present his stances. So the question is, whether it was the president's position or Mr. Mastalerok's emotions that got the better of him. If emotions got the better of him, then I am disappointed. We should be proud that we are in control of our actions... it is unbecoming of the head of the presidential chancellery - stated Tobiasz Bocheński on the Polsat News program "Graffiti".

08:36

Śmiszek:

Unlike Kierwiński, I Applauded 'Green Border'
- Pushbacks are illegal, they break the law, they are vile and hideous. They are contrary to international law. In our opinion, in the opinion of Lewica (The Left), a secure border is one that cannot be crossed illegally, being controlled also by some foreign forces, but a secure border is one where no one suffers and no one dies - said Krzysztof Śmiszek on TOK FM Morning.

- I am a great proponent of strengthening our border, because we see the pressure, the orchestrated action. However, if we are strengthening the border, let's also strengthen the Border Guard, which should quickly and effectively process applications for international protection, and if someone does not meet the criteria for international protection, they should be immediately expelled from Poland - he continued.

- Unlike MP Kierwiński, I applauded and was moved by the film 'Green Border.' [...] We must support the soldiers, the Border Guard, because we see what is happening. Even those who protect the border are today paying the price with their health [...]. But nothing can justify and explain one thing – hitting, spraying some gel or pepper spray in the face, because activists talk about such things - he added.

08:45

Bocheński:

We Don't Want to Take Our Internal Disputes to the European Parliament
- It's not as if we want to transfer our internal quarrels to the European Parliament. I am a proponent of very pragmatic action in the European Parliament. Of course, we are in a certain faction, it is a euro-realistic, conservative faction, which has a chance of being larger now - stated Tobiasz Bocheński on the Polsat News program "Graffiti".

10:21

Bielan:

Allegations Against Woś Do Not Concern the Use of Pegasus
- Absolutely not, that's a journalistic description [organized criminal group connected to the Justice Fund]. In the case of Mr. Michał Woś, as I understand it, it's exclusively about the source of financing for this software used for surveillance. Special services claimed and continue to claim, even after we left office, that they need such tools that allow for the monitoring of communicators – stated Adam Bielan on the program "Bez uników" (Without Evasion) on Trójka. - So it's not about the actual use of Pegasus against individuals against whom it should not have been applied, but about the minister's decision as an official that the source of financing is not what it should be. Lawyers will decide this, but it has nothing to do with the use of Pegasus – he continued.

10:22

Bielan on the NCBiR Scandal:

I Have No Ties to These Companies.
- Mid-level officials, specifically department directors, made the decision to award, and the list of companies that were to receive funds, in mid-December, just before Christmas. On January 9th, and the first publications began to appear in February, an investigation into this matter was initiated, at the director's initiative. The questions were sent at the turn of January and February. On January 9th, signing of the agreements was suspended; had it not been suspended, by the time the media started asking questions, the agreements would have been signed. We have no, and I have no, ties to these companies. The second company you are referring to has no ties to any politician from the former Republican party; the first one did, in a social capacity, and for me, it was obvious that there was a conflict of interest, and I was exceptionally sensitive to this matter, although I did not make the decision – said Adam Bielan on Trójka.

11:40

Kwiatkowski Announces Filing a Complaint with the Prosecutor's Office Regarding the Fund for Justice:

Idiots, Legal Screw-ups.

- As early as next week, I will be filing a complaint with the prosecutor's office in connection with the commission of the offense of multiple violations of Polish law in relation to the expenditure of public funds from the Fund for Justice. In total, we are talking about dozens of contracts and millions of zlotys. We are particularly concerned about the situation where these funds were disbursed bypassing the competitive procedure – stated Krzysztof Kwiatkowski at a press briefing.

- Politicians, formerly of Solidarna Polska, now Suwerenna Polska, are idiots, legal screw-ups, who thought they could change a regulation and then arbitrarily, politically, and privately use public money – he continued.

12:14

Biedroń:

As the Left, We Will Scrutinize Every Expenditure from the Justice Fund
- We, as the Left, will be scrutinizing every expenditure from the Justice Fund. We will be watching closely and will also file reports with the prosecutor's office in each of these cases. So that an independent prosecutor's office investigates the connections of politicians and the church, which was unfairly subsidized – stated Robert Biedroń at a press conference.

12:15

Biedroń:

This is What the Then-Power Looked Like – An Alliance of Throne and Altar

- This is what the then-power looked like, an alliance of throne and altar. Here in Toruń, thanks to our decisions, we managed to block the transfer from the Justice Fund for Tadeusz Rydzyk and his foundation. Over 7 million zlotys, which we, as the ruling coalition, have stopped, thanks also to the decisions of the Left, will not end up in Father Rydzyk's hands, just as Maybachs were allegedly received from a homeless person. They will not go where they should not go, but will go where they are most needed – stated Robert Biedroń at a press conference.

12:33

The Amount of the 14th Pension: PiS Submits a Draft Regulation
- Last year, to secure Poles, we passed a law that permanently guarantees the payment of the 14th pension, meaning it will be paid out year after year, and will be at least the minimum pension amount. However, we granted the government the authority to issue a regulation regarding the payment date and its amount. [...] It turns out that no regulation has been issued regarding the amount of the 14th pension. The announcement from the Government Information Centre (CIR) clearly indicates that the 14th pension this year will be at the minimum amount, i.e., the minimum pension, which is 1780 PLN gross. We do not agree with this - said Marlena Maląg at a press conference. - The 14th pension [...] has an income criterion, meaning it supports those seniors, those pensioners, those recipients of disability pensions, who have the lowest pensions. There is an income threshold of 2900 PLN. So, considering that this year the 14th pension will be at the level of 1780 PLN, a certain portion of pensioners will not be covered by support at all. Therefore, we have prepared a draft regulation concerning the determination of an amount higher than the minimum pension, and we are submitting this draft regulation to Prime Minister Donald Tusk, because we do not agree with increases, stop the increases, but we do agree with raising the 14th pension to at least last year's level, and I remind you that last year it was 2650 PLN - she continued. - The Civic Coalition itself and the government published a graphic stating, pay attention, there will be a 14th pension. We are not questioning this situation, because we know that the government's desire to take away the benefit is enormous, but this can only happen when President Andrzej Duda's term ends, because he certainly would not sign such a law [...]. They cannot do that, they can manipulate the amount, because it is in the hands of the government and regulations - said Waldemar Buda.

13:24

In Vitro Program Launched: Leszczyna Announces PLN 500 Million Annually

- You already know a lot about the in vitro program, as we've discussed it extensively. It's based on the law from 10 years ago. However, a very important novelty for me is that we've included onco-fertility within this program. What does that mean? It means that women and men who have to undergo oncological treatment will be able, thanks to this program, to freeze their cells and use them after completing therapy – stated Izabela Leszczyna at a press conference.

- Every program is defined for a certain period; this one is for 5 years and will naturally be extended later. However, we are allocating PLN 2.5 billion for this, a decision made by Prime Minister Donald Tusk. That's PLN 500 million annually, and it's truly an absolutely sufficient amount – she continued.

Gawkowski and Grabiec Deny PAP Dispatch on Partial Mobilization:

We Have Initiated Urgent Clarification of the Matter.

- The PAP dispatch regarding partial mobilization is untrue. We have initiated urgent clarification of the matter. Everything points to a cyberattack and planned disinformation! I will provide updates on further findings - Krzysztof Gawkowski informed on Twitter.

- The alleged PAP announcement about mobilization is untrue. Services are clarifying the incident - informed the Head of the Chancellery of the Prime Minister, Jan Grabiec.

14:35

Coordinator of Special Services Spokesperson: Probable Russian Cyberattack on PAP

- In connection with a probable Russian cyberattack on the Polish Press Agency and the dissemination of disinformation about alleged mobilization in Poland, the Internal Security Agency, in cooperation with the Ministry of Digital Affairs, has taken immediate action - informed Jacek Dobrzyński, press spokesperson for the minister coordinator of special services.

15:43

Kaczyński on Injured Soldiers:

We Have the Right to Demand Action from the Authorities to Prevent Such Events from Recurring.
- Two more [soldiers] were injured in the face with some sharp objects. And here, first of all, a certain degree of surprise. This fight at the border has been going on for over three years now. For a long time, there was no fence, there were much weaker barriers, and somehow this type of situation did not occur. What has happened that in the last few days or two weeks we have already had 5 such incidents? - said Jarosław Kaczyński in a statement. - We have the right to demand from the authorities that they take such measures and issue such instructions to the Border Guard, the army, and the Police, if they were also present there [...] so that such events do not repeat. It is about decisive actions and it is about actions that will be effective and can be effective, and I am saying right away that it is in no way about the use of weapons, the use of live ammunition, but there are other ways to keep those who attack at an appropriate distance - he continued. - Why were such measures not taken, when will they be taken, when will the current prime minister stop pretending, without a word of apology? He never said "I was wrong, I apologize for that, I apologize to the soldiers, I apologize to the border guards, I apologize to the police officers, I also apologize to my political opponents who were right," but instead he persists in this almost comical narrative about himself as the defender of the border, while actually doing nothing in this matter, apart from a plan that generally makes sense, but not for 10 million, but for 50, and not in 10 years, but in 2-3 - he went on to say.

15:47

Kaczyński Comments on the Cyberattack on PAP and Criticizes the Government:

A Question About the Entire State Mechanism.

- We are dealing with new developments. I wanted to say a few words about them. A truly very disturbing matter is the PAP dispatch. 200,000 soldiers, meaning 200,000 citizens, men, are to be mobilized and sent to Ukraine. Something so improbable that any serious institution like a press agency should have thoroughly verified it. It was withdrawn, perhaps it is a fake made by some hostile Polish groups, most likely Russian or Belarusian. I am fully aware of that, but there is a question about the entire state mechanism, which also includes informational institutions, and they are very important, which has been demolished irresponsibly and, moreover, completely illegally by the current authorities. What happened is a good example of this kind of situation, and it should be the subject of deeper investigation – stated Jarosław Kaczyński during a media statement.

15:53

Tusk Comments on Cyberattack on PAP:

It's Becoming Increasingly Clear How Important These Elections Are for Us.
Another very dangerous hacker attack clearly illustrates Russia's destabilization strategy on the eve of the European elections. Polish services are prepared and operating under the supervision of the Ministers of Interior and Digitalization. It is becoming increasingly clear how important these elections are for us - Prime Minister Donald Tusk wrote on Twitter.

16:52

Bielan:

It is concerning how easily the main news service in Poland was breached
- What is concerning is how easily the protection of the main news service in Poland was breached in order to sow panic among our citizens. Those responsible for cybersecurity should certainly analyze this incident and do everything they can to prevent such attacks from happening in the future - said Adam Bielan in an interview with Krzysztof Grzybowski on "Rozmowa PR24".

16:58

Bielan Explains Why:

We Believe These Are the Most Important European Elections in the History of Our EU Membership.
- We believe these elections are the most important European elections in the history of our presence in the European Union, because the future European Parliament will decide on the shape of our sovereignty through its decision on the shape of the European treaty, it will decide on the potential withdrawal from the migration pact, which is very dangerous for Poland and the entire European Union, or it will make further decisions regarding the Green Deal - Adam Bielan said on PR24.

17:16

Siemoniak:

Cyberattack on PAP Shows Russia's Unwavering Attempts to Destabilize Poland
- I am in contact with Prime Minister Donald Tusk and Deputy Prime Minister Gawkowski. The Internal Security Agency (ABW) has received appropriate orders to immediately address this matter. I have also spoken with the Head of the National Security Bureau (BBN), Jacek Siewiera, so that all state bodies have the same level of information - said Tomasz Siemoniak at a press conference in Gliwice, referring to the cyberattack on the Polish Press Agency (PAP) related to the publication of a false dispatch. - This shows [...] that various Russian attempts to destabilize the situation in Poland are unceasing. We are fighting attempts at sabotage acts commissioned by Russian services; there has been a series of arrests and actions by the ABW and police under prosecutorial supervision. We have a deteriorating situation at the border; you have had the opportunity to note the wounding of a Polish soldier [...]. This aggression towards Poland continues [...], and it is also linked to the upcoming European Parliament elections - he continued.

19:43

Żukowska on PAP Cyberattack: Ministries Reacted Within 4 Minutes
I believe there's no doubt. It's an obvious fake intended to spread disinformation, destabilization, and unease within Polish society. It's worth noting that in this situation, within literally 4 minutes, all responsible ministries – the Ministry of Digital Affairs, the Prime Minister's Office, the Ministry of Security, all ministries involved in ensuring our access to information and protecting us against these cyberattacks – Prime Minister Gawkowski, reacted and withdrew the dispatch – stated Anna-Maria Żukowska in an interview with Dariusz Ociepa on Polsat News's "Gość Wydarzeń".

19:44

Müller on the Cyberattack on PAP: I Hope a Report Will Emerge on What Actually Happened

- I hope a report will emerge on what actually happened, whether it was an IT failure, meaning the IT security systems didn't work, or perhaps someone from the inside brought about such a situation, because, after all, there can always be two scenarios - stated Piotr Müller on Polsat News's "Gość Wydarzeń".

19:48

Müller:

Tusk is Learning a Lesson in Humility, Seeing the Situation in the East

- I am surprised that Donald Tusk has suddenly changed his mind on this topic [buffer zone], because let's recall that the law enabling the introduction of such zones was passed during the PiS government, and PO voted against it, and at the time, we were incredibly attacked for introducing such regulations - stated Piotr Müller in "Gość Wydarzeń" on Polsat News.

- Today, I see that Donald Tusk is learning a lesson in humility in this regard, as he sees what the situation in the East looks like - he continued.

19:59

Müller on the Justice Fund: I've said from the beginning – this matter requires clarification
I have a very clear position on this matter and I've stated it from the very beginning. This matter requires clarification. If there were any abuses of the law, the persons responsible should be punished. At the same time, I am concerned that Mr. Mraz, who is Roman Giertych's client, currently has this particular role, which calls into question how he has been functioning in recent years – stated Piotr Müller on Polsat News's “Gość Wydarzeń”.

20:01

Żukowska to PiS: You Silenced Your Coalition Partners with Money
You knew about this perfectly well, I'm talking about PiS, what Ziobro was plotting in his personal fiefdom, which was the Ministry of Justice and the under-resourced Fundusz Sprawiedliwości [Justice Fund]. You consciously agreed to it in order to have peace in the coalition, so as not to have to debate like we are debating, and you simply silenced your coalition partners with money - stated Anna-Maria Żukowska in "Gość WYdarzeń" on Polsat News.

21:07

Kobosko on the Migration Pact:

We Must Speak Clearly, Very Specifically, Very Firmly

- My answer, regarding the migration pact, is that this is an important topic, because it is one of the biggest challenges facing Europe, whether we like it or not. Millions of people from all over the world will want to come to Europe, because Europe, as it is, is still a dream place for people living, for example, in Africa or Asia. And because Europe would not be able to accommodate everyone who would like to come to it, we must speak clearly, very specifically, very firmly here – stated Michał Kobosko in the program "Pytanie Dnia" on TVP Info.
