At 10:30 in Warsaw, the Left will hold its convention inaugurating the campaign for the European Parliament. Leaders of the electoral lists in the upcoming elections will be presented. Speakers will include Robert Biedroń, Włodzimierz Czarzasty, Katarzyna Kotula, Krzysztof Śmiszek, and Joanna Scheuring-Wielgus.

At 12:00 in Warsaw, PiS will host a conference organized by the "Wolni Polacy" (Free Poles) movement titled "Free Poles Towards Changes in European Union Treaties."

- The European Union, for me, represents several very important values: security, community, and freedom. Because if Poland is in the EU, and the EU is strong and united, it's good for us. If Poland is in the EU, if we are part of this European family, we don't have to fear or tremble for the lives of our loved ones, and the lives of our loved ones are very important to all of us. That's why it's crucial to vote for The Left on June 9th, because The Left brought Poland into the EU, because The Left always stands up for those who are at the back, those who are neglected, because The Left always speaks about the weakest – stated Joanna Scheuring-Wielgus at The Left's convention.

- Remember, when you go to the polls, when you cast your vote, that democracy, freedom, and Poland's membership in the EU are not a given forever. We see what is happening in the world now, we see these brown forces, these radical-conservative forces, that want to blow up the EU and simply ruin it, and we, as The Left, are a guarantee that this will not succeed. We, as The Left, say stop to all these actions; we, as The Left, say yes to the EU – said Joanna Scheuring-Wielgus at The Left's convention.

- I know that it is the team and the Left that Poland needs, that Europe needs. Because Boy-Żeleński said: a spotlight into the darkness. The slogan is still relevant today, today we need to use that spotlight this year to seek truth, to speak directly, unadulterated. We will win these elections, we will achieve a good result, and to all those who thought or are thinking that the Left can be destroyed, that it can be divided, quarrel over this or that position, we will quarrel, but we will always be together - stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty at the Left's convention.

- PiS has always upheld the policy of common sense, a pragmatic policy. We did what was beneficial for Poland and Poles, and we will continue to defend the interests of Poland and Poles - stated Mateusz Morawiecki at a PiS press conference.

- A decisive yes to Nuclear Sharing. This is not a new concept, after all. Notice, ladies and gentlemen, that when President Duda publicly stated that we must seize the moment that has presented itself to remind everyone how furiously he was attacked by the government of the December 13th coalition. This is also a sign that yes, Poland should support its participation in Nuclear Sharing - stated Mariusz Błaszczak at a PiS conference.

- I believe that all PiS MEPs who run in the elections, who will be elected Members of the European Parliament on June 9th, will defend this very choice: to allocate hundreds of billions of euros more annually for defence, to maintain and strengthen the welfare state, meaning our social policy, PiS's social policy. But this means we must effectively oppose this third policy, which today will take hundreds of billions of euros annually, at least, from the EU budget and from the budgets of EU member states - stated Mateusz Morawiecki at a PiS press conference.

- We must state clearly – we will reject the Green Deal. We are going to this parliament to reject the Green Deal. In its current version, because there have been different ones, which should not be forgotten, in its current version, it harms Polish agriculture, practically leads to its liquidation, and here it must be added, although it is not part of the Green Deal, that a similar liquidation can be achieved by opening our borders, I spoke about this a long time ago in Łysy, to imports from Ukraine. The conditions are so different, so much prevails in this regard, what is produced in Ukraine, and precisely the costs of this production, that such an opening simply means, if not 100% liquidation, then a radical limitation of our agriculture and the liquidation of Polish, autonomous, independence and food security – stated Jarosław Kaczyński at the PiS convention.

- In short, we want to live in accordance with the model we know and which we would like to strengthen, we would like to be able to implement it in such a way that more of our people will be able to benefit from all these blessings. At the same time, we too will have more of everything, and what does that mean, that we will be richer, and how do we achieve this, that we will develop faster, rapidly develop, and the Green Deal attacks this with great force. This is a powerful blow to our development opportunities. Therefore, it is against Poland, against farmers, but also against other social groups, in reality, except for a narrow elite, against all Poles, and therefore we do not agree to it, but we will also stop all these crazy immigration ventures, the immigration pact – he continued.

- New European treaties, or rather amendments to existing ones, but amendments that change their meaning. What will be the consequence of this being adopted? Well, the consequence will be that we will lose sovereignty. I've said this more than once: we will essentially not be Poland, a sovereign Polish state, but a territory inhabited by Poles, governed from the outside. This is a completely unacceptable situation – stated Jarosław Kaczyński at the PiS convention.

- Today we are being offered a concept that essentially amounts to a radical reduction in security, meaning a non-existent entity in reality, essentially just an idea, just on paper: a European army, some European dome. No, ladies and gentlemen, our security lies first and foremost in our own forces, and these must be built up, and in NATO, as the greatest alliance in history. The foundation of this alliance is the alliance with the United States – stated Jarosław Kaczyński at the PiS convention.

- We have a strong team, we have people who are capable of working well in the European Union, competently working in the EU. We also have, ladies and gentlemen, our candidate for EU Commissioner, who will know how to do it there, because he is a super competent person and has a strong, very strong character and a strong temperament. I am talking about Dr. Saryusz-Wolski here – stated Jarosław Kaczyński at the PiS convention.
