We want to return competences to local government officials, to restore those taken by the previous government, to give a chance for development, to transfer funds from the European Social Fund, from the EU budget, from the Common Agricultural Policy, from the KPO, to the regions, to the districts, to the communes. Inflation is below 2%, and the worst tax imposed by the PiS government has been removed by us. - Our inflation wasn't particularly high. It was typical for Central and Eastern European countries, it was under control all along, as much as it could be. - Today we are not celebrating, ladies and gentlemen. In the medium term, mainly two years, we strive for lasting stabilization of inflation at the level consistent with the inflation target, not just achieving it momentarily. - These elections are absolutely fundamental and this is very important, because we took a step on October 15th. Of course, that step was the most important because we had to change the government. That step showed that Poles can take democracy into their own hands, that when necessary, they mobilize 100% - stated Rafał Trzaskowski during the Civic Platform (KO) local government convention.

- This signal is necessary to show that Poles and Varsovians are not fooled by people who pretend. That credibility, hard work, and trustworthiness actually matter in politics. He had his chance when he was supposed to be an independent official, the voivode. If someone convinces others that we can go home, or if someone believes that freedom, human rights, women's rights, democracy, a free economy, and self-governance are all permanent, will defend themselves, and that it's enough to go to the polls once in a while, and then things will just run themselves, we will lose it all again. If they regain power in municipalities or voivodeships on Sunday, it means we squandered our great joint effort from last autumn. Poland cannot afford to lose it all just because the weather might be warm and pleasant, or someone might think, 'Eh, they'll manage, Rafał is leading in the polls, why should I worry?' If we think like that, we will wake up on Monday morning and realize that due to some unnecessary, sometimes seemingly recurring carelessness or political-civic laziness in our history, it will suddenly slip through our fingers again - stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk at the KO local government convention.

- I don't understand these kinds of malicious remarks from the Left, given that we co-create the government together and today we should be focused on ensuring that proven administrators win. It is natural that we can compete with each other, but I would rather focus on PiS, because PiS is the strongest in Warsaw, we all know that.
