- Yes [Ukraine will win against Russia], and what's more, Russia will disintegrate. You know, it's easier to say, seriously now, that great empires that have caused damage will fall apart, rather than no, because none have survived. The Russian empire has already crumbled twice, once at the beginning of the 20th century, and once at the end - stated Paweł Kowal in a conversation with Bogdan Rymanowski on Radio Zet.

- The problem is that this period of turbulence is very dangerous, because Poland is close, and Central Europe is close, and that's when the worst things happen - he continued.

And there were many people who hesitated and weighed their words in 1938, and a few years later, let's say in 1944 or 1945, they had tears in their eyes. We need to react now, we need to react sharply, so that there is no ambiguity - stated Paweł Kowal on Radio Zet.

- We expect a green light [regarding the KPO], because as you may recall, in December we submitted not only a request for our due advance payment, but also for the first settlement of the first tranche, 7 billion euros. This first tranche should already be assessed in terms of the implementation of specific projects, but in the background there are, of course, these conditions – stated Andrzej Halicki in the program “Salon Polityczny Trójki”.

- This entire technical process must continue, it must be fulfilled, when it comes to all stages of this procedure, but I am optimistic. Formally speaking, we must meet the requirements that the Polish government itself set in the KPO plan as conditions to be met. Among these milestones are also issues related to the reform of the justice system – stated Andrzej Halicki on the program "Salon Polityczny Trójki".

- On the very first day after the formation of Prime Minister Donald Tusk's government, we took two very important steps that our predecessors could not afford. Minister Sikorski sent information that we will respect the ruling of the CJEU, and today Minister of Justice Adam Bodnar's actions are also a consequence. The second issue is joining the European Public Prosecutor's Office in order to prosecute crimes related to European funds, including fraud - stated Andrzej Halicki on the program "Salon Polityczny Trójki".

- We waited a bit, not too long, and we have it. You know, this is truly a very important day, and we worked hard together for it, primarily Poles. On October 15th, by re-electing democracy and the rule of law, they are the true heroes of this story, which has found its conclusion today, but without your, Ursula, commitment, without the help of European institutions, the Belgian presidency, I could also always count on the understanding of the Prime Minister in these certainly not easy actions, yes, but we have it. This is PLN 600 billion for Poland. It's truly a mountain of money that we will use well and that we will also use to ease all the tensions and anxieties we are experiencing today – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk at a press briefing.

- It's no coincidence that the President [von der Leyen] spoke of these first quick payments, and among them will be EUR 1.5 billion, if I understood correctly, which is over PLN 6 billion for us, that will go directly to small and medium-sized food producers. This will be the first injection of this kind, which can bring a sense of security and perspective for our farmers as well. It's a day when – I have such a deep feeling, also as a Pole – that we are restoring historical justice towards a country, towards a nation that has done more for the rule of law and democracy than anyone else in the world in recent decades – he continued.

- I am in constant contact with our Ukrainian partners and I do not hide the fact that if necessary, in the coming days we will also make further decisions regarding effective control at our border, when it comes to products entering the EU and Poland. We must find a solution; the steps you have taken are steps in the right direction. Certain facilitations concerning the Green Deal for agriculture are also steps in the right direction from the perspective of many farmers and agricultural producers, but they are not sufficient. I will also be in Brussels and Warsaw, wherever I am, seeking common solutions and arguments to convince all our partners in Europe that even more ambitious steps are needed here – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk at a press briefing.

This will be guaranteed through the European Public Prosecutor's Office, and it is wonderful news for Europe and for Poland, and it is your achievement. Strong rule of law also means a more resilient society, and we need that more than anything else – said the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, at a press briefing in Warsaw.

- We also spoke about the situation of farmers across Europe, including here in Poland, and I greatly admire the hard work performed by farmers every day so that we can enjoy healthy food on our tables […] Farmers face many challenges, they worry about their future, and this is justified. Therefore, we are listening and acting. Europe already supports Polish farmers by offering 22 billion euros through the common agricultural policy.
