Monday's Political Agenda: Tusk in Paris and Berlin, Siemoniak in Katowice, Electoral Committee Registration Deadline, Błaszczak's Morning Press Conference

Prime Minister Donald Tusk is traveling to Paris, where he will meet with President Emmanuel Macron, and then to Berlin, where he will meet with Chancellor Olaf Scholz. "I want to rebuild the Weimar Triangle as soon as possible, meaning the cooperation between Poland, Germany, and France, which is important from a security perspective," said the head of the Polish government in Morąg.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Radosław Sikorski will meet with German and French ministers Annalena Baerbock and Stephan Sejourne at the Saint-Cloud Castle. The meeting is intended to serve the renewal of the Weimar Triangle formula, announced in January by Radosław Sikorski, which has been an important tool of Polish European policy for years.

The planned discussion topics will include current international issues, particularly the matter of support for fighting Ukraine, cooperation in the field of defense, and the upcoming NATO summit in Washington. The problem of Russian disinformation and destabilizing actions carried out by the regime in Minsk will also be addressed.

At **10:00 AM**, a press conference will be held with the participation of the chairman of the PiS parliamentary club, Mariusz Błaszczak, and Senator Wojciech Skurkiewicz.

At **6:00 PM** in Katowice, an open meeting will take place with the Minister-Coordinator of Special Services, Tomasz Siemoniak.

**Today** is the deadline for notifying the National Electoral Commission (PKW) or the appropriate electoral commissioner about the formation of an electoral committee in the local government elections.

Kierwiński on Audit Results Regarding Grenade Launcher, Black Hawk, and More: "They Will Be Available Mid-Month"
- The reports will be available mid-month, probably by the end of this week, at the latest Monday or Tuesday of next week - stated Marcin Kierwiński in an interview with Radomir Wit on TVN24's program "Jeden na jeden" (One on One), when asked about the results of audits concerning, among other things, the grenade launcher, the Black Hawk helicopter, and the ministry's personnel policy.

Myrcha on Constitutional Tribunal Changes: Work Nearing Completion

- These works are ongoing, indeed they are taking place among representatives of parliamentary clubs, experts, and we are trying to approach this matter holistically. That is, on the one hand, parliamentary resolutions, but we are also working on a law that would also regulate the functioning of the Constitutional Tribunal anew, and it seems that these constitutional changes aiming for a so-called constitutional reset also appear to be truly highly justified, because the situation in the Constitutional Tribunal is evidently no longer solvable in a traditional way - stated Arkadiusz Myrcha in a conversation with Marcin Fijołek on Polsat News' "Graffiti".

- I think it's a matter of a few, I hope a dozen or so days. This work is indeed nearing completion. The subject matter is quite complex, a series of various questions will probably arise, so one needs to be prepared for each of them - he continued.

08:08

Myrcha:

The Constitutional Tribunal has become a printer for issuing so-called safeguards for PiS's current political needs

- The Constitutional Tribunal, established to resolve the most difficult legal disputes for the benefit of citizens, particularly to resolve constitutional issues, has turned into a printer for issuing so-called safeguards for the current political needs of PiS and their officials - stated Arkadiusz Myrcha on Polsat News' "Graffiti".

08:09

Kierwiński on Grenade Launcher Incident: I am Convinced the Audit Conclusions Will Be Very Strong
- After this incident, after the accident he caused, the commander received awards, a pay raise upon leaving Minister Kamiński, as if nothing had happened at all. Szymczyk was very subservient to the authorities, so the authorities repaid him with both covering up this matter and financial gratifications. And this is the most outrageous part of this situation; it is even very difficult to measure how great the damage to the police's image was caused by this grenade launcher explosion, and Szymczyk is responsible for all of it. In this second audit, I am convinced, although I am awaiting the final results of this audit [...] that the conclusions will be very strong, far-reaching, and that the prosecutor's office should finally take this matter seriously - said Marcin Kierwiński on TVN24. - Yes, I am convinced that [Szymczyk] should [face consequences]; it is, moreover, something incredible. The Chief of Police, i.e., a person who should know how to handle weapons [...] blows up half of a police station and shows no reflection. This gentleman comes and even says that he is the victim in this situation. [...] After this incident, Szymczyk should have been fired immediately; it should have been an immediate decision, not a moment's delay, because it was simply a matter of the service's image, and this was not done, and this is my biggest accusation against Messrs. Kamiński and Wąsik concerning the police in recent years - he continued.

08:14

Myrcha:

There's a probability the government will address the KRS bill this week

- There is such a probability [that the government will address the KRS bill this week]. The project has already been approved by the Standing Committee, which is the body preceding the government meeting. If the agenda of the nearest meeting allows it, then of course this may happen, and much indicates that this project could [be debated] at the next Sejm session - stated Arkadiusz Myrcha on Polsat News' "Graffiti".

08:18

Kierwiński on the Cabinet Council: I have the impression the President wants a PR event to show how tough he is and how he holds the government accountable
- If the President wants to ask about it [e.g., during the Cabinet Council], I will gladly tell him about the situation in the Polish police after eight years of PiS rule. I will gladly tell him what is causing such a high number of vacancies in the Polish police. I will gladly tell him what the real oversight of his colleagues, those 'crystals' he pardoned, looked like over the Polish police. I'm just not sure if the President will be interested, because I have the impression he would rather have a PR event to show how tough and decisive he is, how he holds the Polish government accountable. It's a shame he didn't hold his PiS colleagues' government accountable for eight years, it's a shame he was always an appendage of Jarosław Kaczyński - said Marcin Kierwiński on TVN24.

08:25

Kierwiński on Civil Defence: I Think We Will Present Advanced Assumptions or Even the Entire Bill in March
- PiS threw the issue of civil defence into the bin. Theoretically, they prepared their draft bill, but this draft bill was never even processed in the Sejm. [...] Today, when it comes to the issue of civil defence, nobody in Poland knows who is responsible - said Marcin Kierwiński on TVN24. - I think that in March we will present either very advanced assumptions for a new bill, or even the entire bill - he continued.

08:28

Müller:

Recent Government Actions Cause Serious Delays for CPK
- An application for EU funding for one of the CPK elements has not been submitted. The fact is that the decision concerning the commencement of construction work has been extended; here, the governor's decision has been returned to the company, which is prolonging the entire process and will most likely lead to the entry into the bird breeding protection period, thus delaying the investment by a year. Consequently, it's not words but actions, and the actions are such that this investment, due to the recent moves of the current government, is experiencing serious delays - said Piotr Müller in an interview with Michał Rachoń on the TV Republika program “Jedziemy”. - If the maximum deadlines are applied […], the investment will be delayed by a year - he stated.

08:31

Myrcha:

It seems that within a few weeks, the motion for Glapiński to face the State Tribunal could be prepared

- Adam Glapiński has worked hard to ensure that such a motion, which I will remind you is formulated in the form of an indictment, could be directed to the State Tribunal, and it seems that within a few weeks this motion for the ST could be prepared - stated Arkadiusz Myrcha in "Graffiti" Polsat News.

08:34

Myrcha:

Legal analysis leads us to conclude that the appointment of 15 judges to the National Council of the Judiciary had no legal effect. They never legally took office.

De facto, legal analysis leads us to conclude that their taking office actually had no legal effect, and therefore it is difficult to attribute to them the right to dismiss. They never legally took office, and this is perhaps the most important clarification, because the National Council of the Judiciary as an entity, as an institution, obviously exists, it's about the individual members – stated Arkadiusz Myrcha in "Graffiti" on Polsat News.

08:49

Müller:

The Other Side of the Political and Media Scene Tries to Distort Issues Concerning the Constitutional Tribunal, Prosecution, and Public Media
- We could not let go of the issues concerning MPs Wąsik and Kamiński, or systemic issues such as the Constitutional Tribunal, the prosecution, or public media, because these are fundamental matters. However, we must also see that the other side of the political or media scene is trying to distort these issues. That is to say, they are making entirely different issues out of these matters than they actually are - said Piotr Müller on the program „Jedziemy” on TV Republika. - That is why these issues concerning CPK, the nuclear power plant, or the settlement of the 100 specific points are extremely important, because they reach with communication those people who unfortunately do not understand much more difficult topics concerning the system - topics that are difficult precisely because they are unfortunately presented in a distorted way by most media in Poland - he continued.

09:09

Müller:

If Tusk caves to pressure on large investments, it's good for Poland. But I don't believe he's doing it honestly or truly believes in it.
- Let's remember that the construction of large investments like CPK (Central Communication Port) or nuclear power plants also impacts or competes with certain interests, for example, German interests. It's not as if they will be happy about it. I would say, to put it mildly, they won't be happy, and Donald Tusk will be reminded of this. Donald Tusk also has his colleagues who have a huge influence on him, I'm talking here about colleagues from Germany or France - said Piotr Müller on the program „Jedziemy” (We're Going) on TV Republika. - Our role is to push these investments forward, and if Donald Tusk caves under this pressure, it will be good for our country [...]. But I don't believe he's doing it honestly, that he truly believes in it. He will likely be going through the motions, pretending it's happening, and talking about it - he continued.

09:38

Bocheński:

If I Were to Nominate a Presidential Candidate, I Think Błaszczak Would Be a Very Good Choice
- I do not have this kind of aspiration [to become President of Poland]. This is a very hypothetical question, and at this moment, I do not have such aspirations. I have no such plans, I am not preparing, and nobody has discussed this with me – stated Tobiasz Bocheński on RMF FM. - I believe there are many leaders on the right who could run for this office [President of the Republic of Poland], for example, Mariusz Błaszczak, Beata Szydło, Elżbieta Witek. If I were to nominate a candidate, I think Mr. Błaszczak would be a very good candidate – he continued.

09:39

Bocheński:

The Abortion Compromise Was Rotten, But Good; Tackling This Issue Opened Pandora's Box for the Next Decade
- Regarding abortion, I believe that the compromise that was in effect until, let's say, the Constitutional Tribunal's ruling was rotten, but it was good. But it is no more. So, Pandora's Box has been opened, and this topic will unfortunately be present in Polish media for the next decade – said Tobiasz Bocheński on RMF FM.

09:39

Bocheński:

I wouldn't be a president who wants to abolish the 'Janosik tax'
- I believe that Warsaw should negotiate this, but the very essence of the 'Janosik tax', meaning a levy on the wealthiest to ensure poorer local governments have leveled playing fields, is not controversial and does not raise any controversy in me. I would not be a president who demands the abolition of the 'Janosik tax' – stated Tobiasz Bocheński on RMF FM.

09:40

Bocheński:

I wouldn't hold patronage over the Equality Parade, but I guarantee it will proceed peacefully
- No, I am not holding patronage [over the Equality Parade], but I guarantee that it will proceed and in a peaceful manner, undisturbed – said Tobiasz Bocheński on RMF FM.

09:44

Bocheński:

I suspect Trzaskowski won't win in the first round
- I suspect that [Trzaskowski will not win in the first round], moreover, each of us has a different nature, and Patryk Jaki has a different nature than I do, so this campaign will also be different – said Tobiasz Bocheński in RMF FM. - Certainly, my candidacy, unlike Rafał Trzaskowski's, guarantees that we will discuss local government issues and the problems of Warsaw residents, not national politics. This means there will be no such evasion that Warsaw suffers from, where the discussion is always about LGBT, abortion, such topics, and we don't discuss those that are closer to the residents of Warsaw – he continued.

10:46

Błaszczak Asks Kosiniak-Kamysz 6 Questions:

No Time to Review Documents, We Need to Continue the Work We Started at the Ministry of National Defence.
- There is no time for such actions related to reviewing documents. We need to continue everything that we started while governing Poland. We need to continue the work we initiated at the Ministry of National Defence. If Minister Kosiniak-Kamysz has no projects, no plans, and doesn't know how to go about strengthening the Polish Army, then I say it directly: he is in a comfortable position, because all he needs to do is continue those intentions, those actions, as they were actions that we undertook at the Ministry of National Defence - stated Mariusz Błaszczak at a press conference. - Of course, security should be above the current political dispute; that is also my intention. However, one cannot stagnate; one must move forward. Therefore, I am publicly asking Minister Kosiniak-Kamysz questions - he continued. Mariusz Błaszczak's list of questions for the Minister of National Defence: 1. Will contracts for Korean K2 tanks and K9 howitzers be continued? 2. What will be the delivery timelines for the Borsuk IFVs? 3. What is the target number of soldiers for the Polish Army? 4. What about the further development of the Territorial Defence Forces? 5. Will the 8th Mechanized Division with command in Nowe Miasto nad Pilicą continue to be formed? 6. Will Poland continue to develop its air defence program based on the Patriot and Narew systems?

10:56

Błaszczak:

Tusk Attacks the American Side, Gambles with Poland's Security
- Regarding the entire matter of the statements by former US President Donald Trump, something else concerns me. I am concerned about the reaction of the current Prime Minister Donald Tusk and the attacks being launched at the American side. First, a tweet in which he attacked Republicans after the vote in the Senate [...] now an attack on Donald Trump, this is interference in the internal affairs of the United States and it is disturbing that Donald Tusk attacks the American side, given that an election campaign is underway in America. He has never attacked any political party in Germany in this manner - said Mariusz Błaszczak at a press conference. - I interpret these attacks on the United States as an attempt to gain credibility with Germany, and to a lesser extent with France [...]. These actions should also be interpreted as Donald Tusk gambling with the security of our homeland - he continued.

11:05

Bosak:

Tusk Speaks with Superiority and Patronizingly. He Antagonizes a Significant Portion of Politicians Who May Soon Govern in the USA
- These [Donald Tusk's tweets about Republicans and Trump] are harmful. Donald Tusk speaks in a style and manner to which he is accustomed in European and Polish debates: with superiority and disdain for those who think differently. It's not outright, overt disdain, but rather a kind of patronizing tone, lecturing them, showing them their place - said Krzysztof Bosak in an interview with Jacek Prusinowski on "Sedno Sprawy" (The Core of the Matter) on Radio Plus. - Statements that allow Poland to achieve something are good for the Polish state. What he has achieved with these statements so far is to antagonize a significant portion of American politicians who may soon be governing America again - he assessed.

11:15

Bosak Announces Participation in Confederation's Presidential Primary
- My dream is to serve Poles well in the position that politics places me in. Currently, I am the Deputy Marshal of the Sejm, one of the leaders of Confederation. [...] It's not about dreams, it's about service - said Krzysztof Bosak in "The Heart of the Matter" on Radio Plus. - There will likely be Confederation's presidential primaries. I will run in them because I am the leader of the National Movement, one of the three parties that co-create Confederation. If our voters decide that I am to be the candidate, then I will be, and I will compete. If they decide someone else will be - I will support them - he stated.

12:23

Bosak:

I requested a meeting with the President regarding a "constitutional reset," now I'm waiting for a date
- I have requested such a meeting [with President Andrzej Duda concerning a "constitutional reset"] and I am now waiting for a date. I know the president was in Africa, he seems to have returned yesterday, so I hope such a meeting will take place - Krzysztof Bosak said on "Sedno Sprawy" on Radio Plus.

13:23

Tusk in Paris: It was my intention to begin my term as Prime Minister with the quickest possible revitalization of Poland's relations with its most important European partners
It was my intention to begin my term as Prime Minister of Poland with the quickest possible revitalization of Poland's relations with its most important European partners. It is no coincidence that my first visits as Prime Minister were to Brussels, for obvious reasons, then Kyiv, also for obvious reasons, and today Paris. Not only because France and Poland are traditional friends, not only because we have known each other for many years, we are friends and we trust each other. We have always been able to rely on each other, but also because I have a feeling that in these very difficult and demanding times, the stance of France and the stance of Poland are very close to each other, and this applies to all important issues – stated Donald Tusk at a press conference in Paris.

13:25

Tusk:

No Alternative to Transatlantic Cooperation and NATO. Europe Must Become a Safe and Strong Continent, Capable of Defending Its Borders

- Here in Paris, I want to emphasize very clearly once again that there is no alternative to transatlantic cooperation, there is no alternative to NATO. Europe must become a safe continent, and this means that the EU, France, and Poland must become strong states, ready to defend their own borders, their own territory, and to defend and support our allies and friends from outside the EU. Perhaps the words from Alexander Dumas' "The Three Musketeers" best resonate here in Paris: "All for one, and one for all." – said Donald Tusk at a press conference in Paris.

13:28

Tusk:

The Word 'Security' is the Key Word Today

- This means the need for very practical and determined actions for the European community, Poland, France, particularly in the context of threats. The word 'security' is the key word today. I want to say, if I remember correctly, it's been 10 years since I visited most European capitals with a proposal for an energy union, and thus a security plan for the EU regarding energy. And today I can only say that energy, food, and defense are the three pillars of our common security, and I would very much like France and Poland to cooperate in an extremely intensive way here – stated Donald Tusk at a press conference in Paris with President Emmanuel Macron.

13:28

Tusk:

A Grand Plan for a Secure Europe is Needed

- In reality, such a grand plan for a secure Europe, for European security, is absolutely needed today. I thank France for its initiatives aimed at increasing our defense capabilities through investments in the defense industry; this is a necessity not just for select nations in Europe or individual states, but for the entire EU. I thank France very much, as this is particularly important for Poland, for its full commitment to Ukraine and Kyiv in the confrontation with aggressive Russia - stated Donald Tusk at a press conference in Paris with President Emmanuel Macron.

16:40

Kaczyński:

We All Know What Times We're Living In, and We Hope It Ends Quickly. We're Fighting for It to End
- I want to thank you for the fact that this plaque has been erected here. Not so long ago, a memorial plaque to my brother was removed, right here, in this city. I don't want to dwell on this, we all know what times we are currently living in and, I believe, we all, or almost all, hope that it will end quickly. We are fighting for it to end - said Jarosław Kaczyński in Gdańsk, during the ceremony of unveiling the plaque commemorating Lech Kaczyński.

16:51

Kaczyński:

My Brother Died in an Attack Because He Was a Man Who Became Dangerous to Russia
- When he became President of the Republic of Poland in 2005, and earlier in 2002, when he became President of Warsaw, he took steps aimed at ensuring Poland was incomparably better secured against the Russian threat, which he perceived with full force. He undertook significant international work to weaken Russia's position, its financial capabilities, and consequently, its military ones. […] On the other hand, he also made a great effort to revive patriotism in Poland, which had been deliberately weakened before – said Jarosław Kaczyński in Gdańsk, during the ceremony of unveiling a plaque commemorating Lech Kaczyński.

- This was a policy that harmed, and could increasingly harm, the plans and undertakings of Putin's Russia. Therefore, he died; there can be no doubt about it, that on April 10, 2010, we were dealing not with a plane crash, but with an attack, a deliberately carried out assassination – he continued.

- He died because he was a man who became dangerous to Russia, but at the same time, very useful, if one may use such a term, for our homeland, but also for other nations in this part of Europe, and also Asia, that fell into Russian captivity – he went on.

18:02

Sikorski in Paris: The EU is Fully Itself When Breathing with Two Lungs – East and West

- This is a very successful formula. Germany is the EU's largest economy, France is the only nuclear power and a permanent member of the Security Council. It also has the sensitivity of Southern Europe, and Poland is the largest country among those 10 that joined the EU 20 years ago, and today it is the only EU country that is a neighbor to both Russia and Ukraine, and therefore we need each other. The EU is fully itself when breathing with two lungs – the eastern and the western. That is why I believe that the Weimar Triangle, which we are reactivating today, can achieve a lot – stated Radosław Sikorski at a briefing in Paris.

18:02

Sikorski:

We must not allow Putin to win the war. We must fulfill our commitments to Ukraine

- I agree with every word of my colleagues from France and Germany. I would add that we are meeting at a dramatic, but therefore also an elevated moment. Because we have war in Europe again, a dictator who has given himself the right to decide who can be a nation and who cannot. About whether it is allowed or not allowed to change borders in Europe by force, and who, with lies and demagoguery, is trying to enslave Ukraine first, and then conquer it, and to break up the EU and the Atlantic alliance. We must not allow Putin to win this war. We must fulfill our commitments to Ukraine, both from the Budapest Memorandum and the latest one regarding ammunition, regarding financial support, which is already happening, so that Ukraine can become a European, democratic, reforming country in the future - stated Radosław Sikorski at a briefing in Paris.

18:41

Hołownia:

Our Idea to Decouple Politics from State Treasury Company Funds Sparks Controversy Among Both Opponents and Friends
Our idea to decouple politics from funds originating from State Treasury companies is stirring controversy, not only among our opponents but also among our friends. I want to reassure all those who are concerned – we will thoroughly discuss this project and will not deprive legions of specialists of the opportunity to work for Poland – wrote Szymon Hołownia on Twitter. - To those who label us as naive idealists who don't understand politics, I remind them: we did not come here to put a fresh coat of paint on the old politics. We came here to change it – emphasized the Marshal of the Sejm.

19:29

Tusk:

We Will Be Respected in All World Capitals If We Believe the EU Can Be a Power Not Only Civilizational, Economic, and Scientific, but Also Military
- History has proven to be incredibly cruel and surprising. A few years ago, no one would have thought that Poland and Germany would cooperate closely, including militarily, in defending Ukraine against Russian aggression. For many years, not only within the European Union, the thinking about the Europe-Russia relationship was dominated by illusions; at times, trivial interests took precedence over geopolitical common sense and imagination. It is absolutely crucial for the future of Europe that we draw the right lessons from past history [...] but also from the history of recent years. [...] Our first commandment should be to ensure the unity of Europe in confrontation with Russia's aggressive policy - said Donald Tusk at a press conference after a meeting with the German Chancellor. - Security has many dimensions. This includes direct support for Ukraine in this war, the rebuilding of Europe's real military strength as a whole, joint energy policy, and food security. Today, we are exchanging views and will establish a common stance wherever possible, but one thing is already clear, even after this initial part of our conversation: Poland and Germany, as the most engaged in aiding Ukraine today, must take on joint responsibility for continuing this policy and for mobilizing the entire European Union to enhance the defense capabilities of the Union and our states. We discussed, among other things, the need to intensify our cooperation [...] regarding air defense. [...] We want [...] to achieve much greater air defense capabilities as quickly as possible, meaning not in 10, 15 years, but within the next dozen or so months, much greater production capacities for ammunition, not only to help Ukraine, which is the priority today, but also so that Europe acquires defensive capabilities adequate to our potential - he continued. - We will be respected in all world capitals if we believe that the European Union can be a power not only civilizational, economic, and scientific, but also, appropriately, a military power. This is not our choice; we did not want any confrontation. It is a necessity. The European Union has an economy eight times larger than the Russian economy, and we have a population six times larger than Russia. There is no reason why we should be so clearly weaker militarily than Russia. Therefore, increasing production and intensifying our cooperation are absolutely indisputable priorities - he went on to say. - I will argue today during our working dinner to find a common solution regarding both the Green Deal and the import of food products from Ukraine. We must find, and we will find, a solution that, while respecting Ukraine's interests and our climate protection ambitions, will simultaneously effectively protect our farmers [...]. History would not forgive us if we were unable today [...] to build such a Europe, so cohesive, so united, that would not be able to oppose the aggressive policy of aggressive neighbors - he added.

19:35

Tusk:

Reaching 2% of GDP for Defense - After the Terrible Ukrainian Lesson, No One in NATO Should Doubt the Need
- Regardless of what [...] Donald Trump says, it is our obvious, common European interest that all NATO member states increase - and significantly so - the financing of their own and our common defense capabilities. I have no doubts about this - Donald Tusk said at a press conference after talks with the German Chancellor. - Poland has been clearly exceeding this threshold of 2% for some time now; today it is 4%. I know that not every country will be able to quickly reach the level of 2% or 2% plus, but it seems that this terrible Ukrainian lesson should no longer leave anyone in doubt - this is the need. Not because Donald Trump says so, but objectively. We must increase our defense capabilities. [...] I will insist on all European partners in NATO to increase their capabilities - he continued.

19:42

Tusk:

'One for all, all for one' - we should all in Europe expect our transatlantic partners to be faithful to this principle
- Today in Paris I spoke about the principle of 'one for all, all for one' continuing to be the guiding principle in NATO and the EU. Chancellor Scholz cited the same words. No one is exempt, I'm talking about NATO members, from adhering to this principle. I am convinced that all of us here in Europe should unequivocally expect our partners from the other side of the Atlantic to be faithful to this principle. This is Article 5, this is the entire philosophy of NATO, this is the be-all and end-all of the entire political West - Donald Tusk said at a press conference after his talks with the German Chancellor. - These words from Donald Trump should act as a cold shower for all those who continue to underestimate the increasingly real threat that Europe is facing. We must stand on our own feet, while of course always counting on full cooperation with the USA - he summarized.

19:45

Zgorzelski:

The Mayor of Lviv Should Drink a Glass of Water. He Speaks the Banderite Language

- For the umpteenth time, Mr. Mayor [of Lviv], because I already had the opportunity to address Mr. Mayor Sadovyi on air once on Polsat News, I would also suggest he drink a glass of water before he says anything, because it often seems that Mr. Mayor Sadovyi speaks the Banderite language, which should not be the language that prevails in Ukraine - stated Piotr Zgorzelski in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on Polsat News' "Gość Wydarzeń".

19:56

Zgorzelski:

Resolutions on the Constitutional Tribunal - likely at the next Sejm session

- Likely at the next Sejm session, such resolutions [on the Constitutional Tribunal] will be passed. I don't know the details yet, because Minister Bodnar hasn't presented them to us - stated Piotr Zgorzelski in "Gość Wydarzeń" Polsat News.

20:01

Tusk:

I am a guarantor of friendly Polish-German relations. But this doesn't change the fact that we sometimes have different interests and will assertively pursue them
- Poland, as long as I am Prime Minister, will be a state oriented towards the best possible European cooperation. I don't need to convince anyone that I am also a guarantor of friendly and deep relations between Poland and Germany, for various reasons, no one in Poland needs to be explained this. But this doesn't change the fact that we sometimes have divergent opinions or different interests, and we will assertively pursue them – said Donald Tusk at a press conference after his conversation with the Chancellor of Germany. - Friendship and trust [...] mean that we will openly, without falsifying the picture, openly talk about where we differ and what we expect from each other. Therefore, no one can expect me to be an easy partner [...]. We will certainly be an extremely responsible, predictable state oriented towards full European solidarity and unity – he continued.

20:23

Tusk on WWII Reparations: Germany Has Something to Do Here. But I Don't Want to Turn This into a Front of Mutual Dislike
- I would very much like this historical reflection and decisions that could satisfy us to serve the future, common security. I believe - I suspect the Chancellor may have a different opinion - that Germany has something to do here - said Donald Tusk at a press conference after talks with the German Chancellor. - I will not use this narrative aggressively, but not only because I am a Polish politician, I am also a historian, I am from Gdańsk – all three of these reasons compel me to seriously consider that settling certain accounts would certainly be historical justice. But I don't want to turn this into a front of mutual dislike, but rather an idea for further cooperation for the sake of security and beneficial to both nations - he continued.

20:30

Kołodziejczak:

A total of PLN 6.2 billion worth of wheat, corn, and rapeseed was imported; I believe these companies could have earned at least half of that.

- A total of wheat, corn, and rapeseed worth 6 billion 200 million PLN was imported, specifically 330,000 tons of technical rapeseed, wheat, and corn were transported (...). If we are talking about a value of over 6 billion zlotys, I believe that these companies could have earned at least half of that, I suspect they earned exactly that much – stated Michał Kołodziejczak on the program "Fakty po faktach" on TVN24.

- This only shows that the state did not exist and was not functioning at that time. Today we also see what is happening at the border. I am constantly receiving videos and recordings from farmers. Believe me, 60 wagons of corn have been standing in Dorohusk since around April 15th, when the embargo was introduced, and they have not been unloaded – he continued.

20:31

Kołodziejczak:

We Need Time to Check for Corruption at the Border

- I am not sure if, after eight years, all officials and customs officers at the border are working as they should, because I see a great deal of complacency today. I also have the impression that the cadre changes, which started from the very top, require another week, perhaps two, to thoroughly check everything for corruption at the border. I say this with full responsibility, because what I see suggests we may have certain doubts about it – said Michał Kołodziejczak on TVN24.

20:31

Kołodziejczak:
