Bocheński on running for Warsaw Mayor: I am a representative of the urban right
I am a representative of the urban right, and such a group exists. The right or conservatives are not just people, as others imagine them, living in wooden huts with straw roofs and folk costumes, but also individuals with a certain persona, and we intend to demonstrate that in Warsaw – stated Tobiasz Bocheński in the TVN24 program “Rozmowa Piaseckiego”.

08:03

Hennig-Kloska:

If Someone Threatens Riots in the Sejm, They Should Be Removed from the Sejm
- If someone announces riots in the Sejm, they should be eliminated from the Sejm. Moreover, even if Mariusz Kamiński or Mr. Wąsik were to somehow force their way into the plenary hall, I will remind you that their cards still do not work because they are not MPs. Their mandates have been effectively extinguished – said Paulina Hennig-Kloska in an interview with Dariusz Ociepa on Polsat News' "Graffiti" program.

08:09

Bocheński on Eight Years of PiS Rule: Judicial Reform Not Entirely Successful

- Judicial reform was not entirely successful for us. You speak of the current media situation, it's exactly the same, just in reverse. The lever has been flipped. We should have been more moderate - stated Tobiasz Bocheński on TVN24's program „Rozmowa Piaseckiego”.

08:10

Hennig-Kloska:

The days when the Sejm worked so that resolutions were submitted at midnight and processed in the morning are over
- I don't suspect. The days when the Sejm worked so that resolutions were submitted at midnight and processed in the morning are over. Today we are creating well-prepared legislation, today we are creating legislation consulted with citizens and legal circles, and legislation that MPs have time to familiarize themselves with - said Paulina Hennig-Kloska in Polsat News, when asked if the Sejm's agenda would include draft resolutions from PiS concerning, among others, Mariusz Kamiński and the 'assault' on the Constitutional Tribunal.

08:14

Bocheński:

I Wouldn't Demolish the Palace of Culture, I Dislike It, but I Realize Warsaw Residents Are Attached to it as a Symbol

- I was asked if I would demolish the Palace of Culture; I said I wouldn't. I dislike it. I consider it an aesthetic monstrosity, a symbol of communist power over Poland, but I realize that Warsaw residents are attached to this building as a symbol, and it's not my program to stand there with a chisel and chip away piece by piece of the marble from it - stated Tobiasz Bocheński on TVN24's "Piasecki's Conversation" program.

08:20

Hennig-Kloska:

Regulations on energy prices for the second half of the year to be created within two to three weeks at the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage
- We are currently preparing a proposal for regulations for the second half of the year. This will be the calmer half of the year, because I will remind you that, for example, heat energy after June is less burdensome and less used by citizens. Within two to three weeks, I think, regulations will be created in our ministry concerning these prices for the second half of the year. We want to focus primarily on helping people affected by energy poverty, those with a worse financial status [...]. This will be calculated as income per person in the family - said Paulina Hennig-Kloska on Polsat News.

08:28

Hennig-Kloska:

Nuclear Program Update Should Take Place in the First Half of the Year
- An update to the nuclear program is planned for this year, and within its framework, we will determine whether the schedule adopted by the previous government is realistic. For now, what I can certainly say is that the company is working smoothly and nothing is happening that could slow down these efforts - Paulina Hennig-Kloska stated in an interview with Polsat News. - This update to the nuclear policy should take place in the first half of the year - she continued.

08:38

Żukowska:

I'd Rather Dissolve the Constitutional Tribunal. I Believe Constitutional Review Should Be Decentralized
- I would rather dissolve the Constitutional Tribunal altogether, but of course, we don't have such a majority. I believe that constitutional review should be decentralized, and in specific cases, in abstracto, by the Supreme Court - said Anna Maria Żukowska in an interview with Robert Mazurek on RMF FM.

08:47

Żukowska on the Constitutional Tribunal: We must wait for the terms of PiS-appointed judges to expire
- It's impossible to change the constitution because we don't have such a majority. That's in an ideal world. However, in an imperfect world – I simply think we have to wait for the terms of the judges who were nominated by PiS to expire. It's still a while, that's true - said Anna Maria Żukowska in the "Morning Interview" on RMF FM.

08:52

Żukowska on resolution regarding the Constitutional Tribunal: Based on this, we will assess that rulings made by a panel including substitute judges will not be respected by us
- If you are asking about the draft resolution, because such a story is circulating – it is meant to state that the Constitutional Tribunal is composed, among others, of individuals who were elected to replace previously lawfully elected judges, so-called substitute judges – said Anna Maria Żukowska in the "Morning Conversation" on RMF FM. - Based on this, we will – as we have done so far – assess that resolutions or rulings made by the Constitutional Tribunal with a composition that includes substitute judges will not be respected by us – she continued.

08:55

Kosiniak-Kamysz:

We Must Be Ready for Every Scenario, Including the Worst, at All Times

- We must be ready for every scenario, including the worst, at all times. NATO states, including Poland on the eastern flank, must be ready – stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on Radio Zet.

- Since the early morning hours, there has been an air raid alert announced across the entire territory of Ukraine. Unfortunately, this is happening cyclically with increasing frequency, once a week, once every 10 days. These attacks are massive. Of course, most of the missiles are heading west, thus towards Poland. They are, of course, maneuvering, with their designated targets within Ukrainian territory, but since this morning, all security systems in Poland have been on full alert – the Deputy Prime Minister continued.

08:55

Kosiniak-Kamysz:

Russia is conducting a massive attack, it is prepared for it. It has recovered from the losses it suffered at the beginning of the war
These situations [massive missile attacks on Ukraine] have been occurring more and more frequently since the end of last year. This indicates that Russia is conducting a very massive attack and is already prepared for it. It has recovered from the losses it suffered at the beginning of the war, i.e. 2 years ago, and has switched its production to a war footing. It has allies such as North Korea, who supply them with a great deal of ammunition and military equipment, and are ready to carry out very massive [attacks] – stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz on Radio Zet.

09:00

Kosiniak-Kamysz on Russia's Missile Strike on Poland: It's Not Just Me; Those in Europe and the World Also See It. It's a Readiness We Must Achieve and Maintain Constantly.
It's not just me saying this; those who see it in Europe and around the world are also saying it. A very massive information campaign took place in Sweden a few weeks ago to prepare Sweden for any eventuality, including the possibility of armed conflict. The Prime Minister spoke about this. This is a readiness that we must achieve and maintain this awareness all the time. I'm also talking about not getting used to war, not moving on as if there wasn't a war raging on our eastern border – stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz on Radio Zet.

09:02

Kosiniak-Kamysz:

The Defense of the Homeland Act Extinguished the Civil Defense Act, and Our Predecessors Presented No Draft for Over a Dozen Months

- The Defense of the Homeland Act extinguished the Civil Defense Act, and our predecessors presented no draft for over a dozen months. Intensive work is underway in the Ministry of the Interior and Administration; we are supporting this. I am a great proponent of cooperation with Minister Kierwiński, and we will present such a law in the near future - stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz on Radio Zet.

09:05

Żukowska:

A Part of Third Way May Vote for One of the Abortion Bills. Perhaps Public Opinion Will Convince the Others That This is Why They Were Elected – to Change These Regulations
- I hope that soon [the abortion bills will be put to a vote], that, as announced by the Marshal, an extraordinary committee will be appointed to consider all these projects. [Szymon Hołownia] was still hesitating whether his party would submit a bill. I think most likely not, so there will be three bills - said Anna Maria Żukowska in the "Morning Conversation" on RMF FM. - I think a part of the Third Way may vote for one of these solutions. Perhaps public opinion will convince the others that this is why they were elected – because that was the trust, especially of women who went to the polls to vote for the then democratic opposition – to change these regulations - she stated.

09:13

Żukowska:

If the Right, Including Confederation and PiS, Intends to Tamper with the Constitution, It Will Certainly Do So Without the Left
- If the Polish right, with the participation of Confederation and PiS, intends to tamper with the Polish constitution, it will certainly do so without the Left - said Anna Maria Żukowska in the "Morning Interview" on RMF FM. - If someone submits a draft constitutional amendment, a committee is formed to consider this draft, but later - even if it only concerns one thing, ostensibly to "deal only with the Constitutional Tribunal" - there is no guarantee that someone will not come forward, propose guarantees for the protection of life from conception, other matters, and create a much bigger problem, I believe, than there is currently, a really big row will erupt from this - she continued.

09:25

Wąsik and Kamiński Attempt to Enter the Sejm

Maciej Wąsik and Mariusz Kamiński are attempting to enter the Sejm. They claim to be parliamentarians. According to media reports, there were scuffles with the Marshal's Guard.

09:36

Tusk responds to Kaczyński's words:

I couldn't have put it better myself.

- "A band of thieves terrified of this Pegasus" - said party leader Kaczyński. I couldn't have put it better myself - wrote Prime Minister Donald Tusk on Twitter.

09:48

Kaczyński:

A Band of Thieves Terrified of Pegasus, Now in Power, Has Suffered a Hysterical Attack
- A band of thieves terrified of this Pegasus, which was in opposition and is now in power, has suffered a hysterical attack – Jarosław Kaczyński said in a conversation with journalists in front of the Sejm.

09:49

Kaczyński:

We Don't Want to Squabble. We Want the Government to Respect the Law
- We don't want to squabble. We want the government to respect the law - Jarosław Kaczyński told journalists in front of the Sejm.

09:53

Wąsik:

We Are MPs, We Wanted to Enter Parliament Through the Main Entrance, Without Deception
- We are MPs, we wanted to enter through the main entrance, and it turns out that MPs cannot enter the Sejm. This is Marshal Hołownia's problem. We are not former MPs, we are MPs in accordance with the Supreme Court's ruling, which overturned Szymon Hołownia's decision. The Supreme Court assessed that this ruling from December 20th has no legal effect - Maciej Wąsik told TVN24 in front of the Sejm.

- Normally, through the main entrance, without deception, normally, however, Marshal Hołownia's services were tasked with not allowing MPs into the Sejm [...]. I have no complaints against them [the Marshal's Guard officers], but this shows what kind of country we live in; this is an authoritarian state. [...] Yes [I want to vote], if there are votes, like every MP, that is our duty - he continued.

09:53

Hołownia on Kamiński and Wąsik: We have a very clear and concrete situation that it's time to come to terms with

- We have a very clear and concrete situation that it's time to come to terms with. The District Court in Warsaw on December 20th of last year issued… – stated Szymon Hołownia at a press briefing in the Sejm.

09:54

Hołownia:

The Marshal Lacks the Authority to Revoke Mandates; Courts Handle Such Matters

- It has never in my life crossed my mind to deprive any MP, and especially MPs from PiS, of the right to perform their mandates, because the Marshal does not have such authority. Courts do that if they decide on such matters. The Marshal does not have such authority - stated Szymon Hołownia at a press briefing in the Sejm.

09:57

Hołownia:

If Kaczyński States the Sejm Doesn't Exist, I'll Start Hesitating - Whether to Pay Salaries or Not

- If the chairman of your party [PiS] states that the Sejm does not exist, I hesitated for a moment, but we've started offering day trips. Anyone can come in if they wish, but I've started to hesitate. Should I pay salaries or not. It will all go into your chairman's account. He's the one who said there's no Sejm. Well, madam, that's an ontological contradiction. How can you pay something out of something that doesn't exist? - Szymon Hołownia stated at a press briefing in the Sejm.

10:04

Hołownia:

To the gentlemen from PiS, I want to say once again – end this soap opera. It was an act of political hooliganism
To the gentlemen from PiS, I want to say once again – end this soap opera. Poles are waiting today for completely different images from the Sejm. They are waiting for laws, for solutions, for the fulfillment of our electoral promises, not for scenes like the ones that just took place here. It was an act of political hooliganism, vandalism, and such things should not happen on Sejm grounds – stated Szymon Hołownia at a press briefing in the Sejm.

10:05

Hołownia:

A Simple Message - Wąsik and Kamiński are Not MPs, and Nothing Will Change in This Matter

- One more simple message. Messrs. Wąsik and Kamiński, by virtue of the judgment of the district court in Warsaw, are not MPs, and nothing will change in this matter. Regardless of what actions will be taken by those who want to cause a commotion or incite unrest here. They will not be admitted to the plenary hall, they will not participate in voting - stated Szymon Hołownia at a press briefing in the Sejm.

10:19

Kamiński and Wąsik Leave Sejm Premises:

We’re Driving Off

According to media reports, Mariusz Kamiński and Maciej Wąsik have left the Sejm premises.

- The President and I wanted to invite you to a briefing, but it will take place in about half an hour, here, by the Home Army monument - Mariusz Kamiński told journalists.

- Perhaps a little later, because we don't know what will happen in the Sejm - Jarosław Kaczyński added.

- Right now, I and MP Wąsik will be leaving for about half an hour. We will be in contact with the club's leadership [...]. In a moment, MP Wąsik and I are driving off and will meet with you - Kamiński continued.

10:39

Hołownia:

We Will Not Agree to Jostling with Marshal Guards

- They can report to the pass office for passes. [As former MPs] or as visiting MPs to the Sejm, and they will receive these passes. There is no obstacle here and no doubts in this matter. However, I want to emphasize, I spoke with the commander of the Marshal Guard about the events that took place today, in which he also participated. We will not agree to jostling with the Marshal Guards, to physically push them in any way, or to try to restrict their ability to perform their duties. They wear the uniform of the Republic of Poland with our state emblem on their caps, and they deserve respect, just like any public official – stated Szymon Hołownia in a conversation with journalists in the Sejm.

10:42

Błaszczak:

We Hear from Media Reports of an Attack on the Constitutional Tribunal Being Prepared. In Response, PiS Has Submitted Three Draft Resolutions
You [Szymon Hołownia] are being used by Donald Tusk like a battering ram, but that doesn't excuse you at all, because breaking the law will sooner or later be judged, and those responsible for breaking the law will face consequences. We also hear from media reports that an attack on the Constitutional Tribunal is being prepared. In response, PiS has submitted three draft resolutions of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland. The first draft concerns the defense of the independence of the Constitutional Tribunal, the second draft concerns the observance of the principles of freedom and justice expressed in the Constitution of the Republic of Poland, and the third draft concerns respect for human rights and adherence to the European Convention on Human Rights in Poland, as MP Mariusz Kamiński has been subjected to torture. In view of this, I demand the convening of the Convention of Seniors, a break in the proceedings, the convening of the Convention of Seniors, and the addition of these three mentioned projects to the agenda, and I warn you that the regime of December 13th will not last forever – stated Mariusz Błaszczak in the Sejm.

10:48

Kosiniak-Kamysz:

I am in favor of changing the Constitution. The justice system needs to be fixed

- It is not the government changing the Constitutional Tribunal, but there is a plan to fix the justice system. Minister Bodnar is already implementing this plan. A comprehensive approach is needed, including constitutional changes. I am in favor of changing the Constitution, specifically the chapter on the Constitutional Tribunal, with an entirely new selection process requiring a 2/3 or 3/5 majority. A much higher threshold than is currently stipulated in the regulations. The justice system needs to be fixed not just through a single legal act, but through the most important one, which is the Constitution – stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz.

11:14

Kaczyński:

The Constitutional Tribunal was independent, and now they are trying to make it an institution completely dependent
The Constitutional Tribunal was independent, and at this moment they are trying to make it an institution completely dependent on the current authorities. And all claims that it was previously dependent, well, that is simply part of the propaganda that has introduced in Poland a completely morbid illusion, fit for examination by appropriate specialists, that in Poland, a country where the opposition operates peacefully, where it has a huge part of power, because of the local governments, where it has a subordinated judiciary, about which MP Neumann spoke, that the courts are ours, where it has a huge advantage in the media, that it was a dictatorship – stated Jarosław Kaczyński in a conversation with journalists. - Physical attacks, the physical takeover of state institutions, and such attacks are concerned, well, that is a coup d'état, that is Article 127 of the Penal Code – he added.

11:15

Kaczyński Announces Legal Action Against Hołownia:

We Received a Letter from the Marshal's Guard Ordering Not to Admit MPs.
- The aim was to obtain an official letter from the Marshal's Guard stating the Marshal's order not to admit the two MPs [Kamiński and Wąsik]. And we have received such a letter. The Marshal explained today in the Sejm chamber that the Extraordinary Control Chamber has no right to overturn court rulings; this once again shows that the Marshal is a complete amateur and should not be a Marshal at all. Perhaps after a few years in the Sejm and some further education, he could be a Marshal, but not at the moment - Jarosław Kaczyński said at a press conference. - The ruling is final, and the Marshal has nothing to say here. Everything else is part of this coup d'état that is currently underway in Poland, meaning a departure from the democratic system and its transformation into a non-democratic one. I will not search for a name for this system, because it is something, one could say, to some extent new, at least for now, as it is simply heading towards a plain dictatorship. [...] We needed this document for procedural reasons, because the government of December 13th will not last. We believe that its days will end at some point, and the matter of accountability, and accountability that would serve as a warning to future generations even, that this kind of crime, because it is a crime from the perspective of the Penal Code [...] will not go unpunished - he continued. - That was our goal, and we have achieved it. [...]. This document, which one of the gentlemen is holding, will be shown to the public someday [...] and will also be part of the legal proceedings against Mr. Hołownia, perhaps even now, because some prosecutors are behaving honorably [...] certainly further legal actions related to the unlawful denial of two MPs' participation in the work of the Sejm will be undertaken - he went on to say.

11:15

Kaczyński:

The journalists following us, and the gathered MPs behind them, led to everything that happened in the Sejm. This was not our intention
- We will not undertake these kinds of attempts to enter, because in reality, we did not undertake such an attempt today either. The aim was for a certain part of our club, the most well-known individuals, to talk to representatives of the Marshal's Guard and obtain what we obtained. The fact that you, the journalists, followed us, and consequently the remaining MPs gathered here were also a bit disoriented and also followed, led to everything that happened here. This was not our intention - said Jarosław Kaczyński at a press conference.

11:16

Kaczyński:

Many MPs, like MP Mazurkiewicz I recall, were MPs and then became Constitutional Tribunal judges, and no one had any objections then.

-Many MPs, and I recall Professor Mazurkiewicz at this moment, and indeed many of my other colleagues, from underground times, were MPs and then became Constitutional Tribunal judges, and back then no one had any objections. You apply different criteria to us than to them. This is simply the implementation of the principle that only they have the right to rule. No, the entire society has the right to rule – said Jarosław Kaczyński in a conversation with journalists.

11:29

Kaczyński:

If Tusk Ruled According to the Constitution, He Could Ski. Our Grievances Aren't About That, But Serious Matters
- Regarding Tusk, he has a habit of conducting a significant part of his political activities in the form of rest, skiing. This was the case in previous terms, these are his customs. As for holiday matters, I won't comment, because I don't know how it looks in his case, but he also has a custom of demonstrating it publicly - said Jarosław Kaczyński at a press conference.

- If Donald Tusk ruled well, in accordance with the constitution, he could ski, that's no problem. We don't make a political issue out of such things [...]. Our grievances with Donald Tusk are not about skiing, but about truly serious matters - he continued.

12:22

Duda:

If Poland is Strong and Has a Well-Equipped Army, the Probability of War Will Drastically Decrease

- Undoubtedly, certain Russian imperial dreams and ambitions have been reborn, and they must be stopped. Could they lead to an attack on NATO, on Poland? If Poland is weak, the danger of such a potential attack will grow. If Poland is strong, if it has a well-equipped army, then the probability will obviously decrease drastically. One only needs to look at the war in Ukraine, at the defeats the Russian army is suffering there when confronted with sophisticated, high-tech equipment supplied from the West and the heroism of Ukrainian soldiers - stated President Andrzej Duda at a press conference in Kigali.

12:27

Duda:

President Trump Keeps His Word; When He Says Something, He Means It

- If I received any promise from President Donald Trump, if he promised me something, it was kept. Yes, President Donald Trump keeps his word; when he says something, he takes it seriously - stated President Andrzej Duda at a press conference in Kigali.

14:18

Kierwiński:

Disgusting Scenes from the Sejm Will Forever Be a Testament to PiS's Relationship with the Law
- Disgusting scenes from the Sejm will forever be a testament to PiS's relationship with the law. A party of lawlessness and aggression – wrote Marcin Kierwiński on social media.

15:45

Dziemianowicz-Bąk:

If the Sejm adopts the widow's pension bill, we estimate a 6-month implementation period
- The death of a spouse, an elderly person, in addition to emotional pain, is also a blow to the household budget, to the wallet of a senior who has lost their spouse and is left alone with all the household expenses. […] The state can and should protect elderly people from this financial blow - said Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bąk in the Sejm. - Such protection and its strengthening, improvement, are proposed by the initiators of the civic bill on the so-called widow's pension. A project prepared jointly by OPZZ and Lewica, signed by over 200,000 people. A project that enjoys very broad social support today, as over 70% of Polish women and men support the possibility of combining their benefit with the benefit of a deceased spouse - she continued. - After the death of a spouse, a widow or widower would be able to receive 50% of the deceased spouse's pension, without losing the right to their own pension, or decide to receive 100% of the survivor's pension from the deceased spouse and keep half of their own pension - she explained. - As the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy, we are very pleased that the Sejm has today begun the procedure for the civic bill on the widow's pension. We declare as a ministry our full readiness for further work on this project in committee, and if it is adopted by the Sejm, we assume the technical and financial possibility of implementing it after approximately 6 months - announced the Minister of Family, Labour and Social Policy.

16:05

Tusk:

The Debate on Halting CPK Construction is Senseless. PiS Hasn't Even Started Building It

- The debate on halting the construction of CPK is senseless. PiS hasn't even started building it, after all. We might as well debate the quality of Izera electric cars - Prime Minister Donald Tusk wrote on Twitter.

16:32

Przydacz:

During EU Committee, PO MPs Realized They Lacked a Majority. Chairman Kobosko Canceled the Vote
- We have just concluded the work of the parliamentary committee on the European Union, and it must be emphasized here that an unprecedented scandal occurred during the committee's proceedings. During a vote that had already been called, at the moment when the voting machines were open and MPs were voting, some Civic Platform MPs realized they would not have a majority in that vote. They started pressuring the chairman to quickly [...] end the vote, and unfortunately, to our surprise [...] Chairman Kobosko canceled the vote. Shouts were heard in the chamber, "Please cancel, please cancel," presumably due to the fact that the ruling majority could have lost this vote - said Marcin Przydacz at a press conference. - The vote concerned a very important matter; it concerned the issue of a resolution [...] regarding the procedure for amending treaties, a reform, or as some call it, a de-form of the European Union - he continued.

19:43

Lubnauer:

Kamiński and Wąsik attempted to force their way into the Sejm pretending to be MPs

- It's interesting how PiS can twist things around. Meaning, at the moment when they destroyed the institution that is the Constitutional Tribunal, now when there are some attempts at repair, they shout about a coup. When they destroyed the National Council of the Judiciary, now when we say that judges in the KRS lack authority, and this is based on a ruling by the Court of Justice of the European Union, then again, there's talk of a coup - stated Katarzyna Lubnauer in a conversation with Bogdan Rymanowski on the program “Gość Wydarzeń” on Polsat News.

- Mariusz Kamiński and Maciej Wąsik attempted to force their way into the Sejm pretending to be MPs - she added.

19:45

Lubnauer on the Chamber of Extraordinary Control and Public Affairs: PiS very deliberately created a "chamber of impunity"

- As I listen to what it's doing, I think to myself that PiS very deliberately created a "chamber of impunity" which was meant to save PiS in cases like the Wąsik and Kamiński case, but it won't save them. Why? Because there is a ruling from the Court of Justice of the European Union - stated Katarzyna Lubnauer on the program "Gość Wydarzeń" (Guest of Events) on Polsat News.

19:50

Lubnauer:

I have the impression that Kaczyński is jealous of Tusk's skiing trip

- I have the impression that in those dozen or so words, we had obsession and jealousy in one. I have the impression that Jarosław Kaczyński is jealous of Donald Tusk's skiing trip, where you can see that Donald Tusk is having fun with his grandchildren, is joyful, and knows that in Poland, all matters are taken care of by Deputy Prime Minister Kosiniak-Kamysz - stated Katarzyna Lubnauer on the program "Guest of Events" on Polsat News.

19:59

Pełczyńska-Nałęcz on CPK: The 2028 Deadline is Absolutely Unrealistic. A Realistic Timeline is 5-7 Years Longer
- CPK - an audit has now begun, three months until the first such serious decisions are made based on the audit, and then another three months of further, very advanced auditing, and everything will be clear as to what's next – Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz said on RMF FM. - This deadline [for CPK's completion], the year '28, is absolutely unrealistic. Such a deadline, if we were to follow the scenario outlined by the previous government, seems to be, at this moment, realistically 5-7 years longer, but of course, the audit will show this with full accuracy – she continued. - I absolutely do not accept the argument that it is a large project and therefore the project cannot be afforded. Poland can afford large projects today, so if this project is profitable, if it leads to good air transport, if it means efficient train communication, then by all means, yes, but this needs to be demonstrated in the audit – she added.

20:02

Pełczyńska-Nałęcz:

We Must Prepare for War to Prevent It
- We have a war in Europe, a full-scale war, unfortunately, in Europe for two years now, and denying this truth only harms us when it comes to facing potential threats. My opinion is this: we must prepare for war in order to prevent it - stated Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz on RMF FM.

20:06

Hetman on the "Mieszkanie na start" Program: It Will Definitely Launch This Year, By Autumn at the Latest
- I can confirm that [the "Mieszkanie na start" program] will definitely launch this year [...]. Definitely by autumn at the latest. We are currently conducting very broad consultations, but I must emphasize one thing: this is only one piece of the puzzle. Because we are consulting on a supply-side program, on a demand-side program for borrowers, which is this program, but also on social construction, on social housing, which is equally important to us - said Krzysztof Hetman in "Fakty po Faktach" on TVN24.

20:13

Hetman:

Zandberg Missed the Message on Supporting Social Housing. We Have a Billion Zlotys for It This Year
- I wasn't hinting at anything, I said directly that assistance for borrowers must be maintained because many Polish families today are unable to meet the criteria set by banks and simply cannot afford to buy their own property. However, MP Zandberg did not hear the second message, that we will be supporting social housing, we have allocated a billion zlotys for it this year, twice as much as for the "Mieszkanie na start" (Housing for the Start) program, when it comes to social housing - Krzysztof Hetman said on TVN24, referring to Adrian Zandberg's statement that mortgage subsidies primarily serve banks and developers, driving up housing prices.

20:14

Zakroczymski:

Wąsik and Kamiński Didn't Obtain Passes, So the Marshal's Guard Couldn't Admit Them
- For the Speaker and the Chancellery of the Sejm, it is unambiguous that the mandates of both gentlemen [Maciej Wąsik and Mariusz Kamiński] have expired. The key factor here is the criminal court's ruling sentencing them to an unconditional prison term. This follows directly from the constitution, which states that the mandates of MPs sentenced to imprisonment expire. Consequently, the former MPs can enter the Sejm after obtaining the appropriate pass - Stanisław Zakroczymski stated in "Tak jest" on TVN24. - As soon as the gentlemen decide to obtain a pass, just like any former MP or citizen, there will be no problem, and they will be able to enter the Sejm. Of course, not the plenary hall, possibly the gallery [...]. But since the gentlemen did not take advantage of this option, the Marshal's Guard, in accordance with the law, could not admit them to the Sejm premises - he added.

Hetman on the Orlen-Lotos Merger: Those Involved Should Consider Witness Protection
- I have no doubt that the individuals who participated in this process should familiarize themselves with the conditions for obtaining the status of a cooperating witness [...]. I'm talking about those people who were involved in this process; they must look in the mirror today and ask themselves if they shouldn't perhaps apply for such a cooperating witness status, because the information from NIK [Supreme Audit Office] is alarming - said Krzysztof Hetman on TVN24 when asked about the merger of Orlen with Lotos.

Hetman on Abortion Law Changes: A Third Way Proposal is Not Ruled Out
- Nothing has changed. We still stand by the position that this matter could be resolved very quickly, namely, we could return to the compromise. We are consistent on this issue, return to the compromise, and that would already be a great help for many women. Then, we should hold a referendum on this matter - said Krzysztof Hetman on TVN24, when asked about changes to abortion regulations. - It is not ruled out that a Third Way proposal will also emerge. [...] We are consistent, and I, as a representative of the Polish People's Party, am also consistent. I would not [vote for the KO proposal], we are in favor of holding a referendum on this matter - he continued.

Zakroczymski:

The Chancellery of the Sejm will analyze every case where the physical integrity of the Marshal's Guard may have been violated
- I want to clearly repeat what the Marshal has said many times today: The Chancellery of the Sejm will very meticulously analyze every case where the physical integrity of public officials, which the Marshal's guards are, may have been violated - said Stanisław Zakroczymski in "Tak jest" on TVN24. - Here, one would want to say that from President Kaczyński and numerous PiS politicians, we have repeatedly heard "a wall behind the Polish uniform." I wanted to say that the Marshal will certainly firmly enforce the rights and personal inviolability of the officials who today, exemplarily, without any aggression or provocation on their part, protected public order on the premises of the Sejm - continued the Director General of the Marshal of the Sejm's Cabinet.

Schetyna:

Model Action by the Sejm Chancellery and Hołownia. The Marshal's Guard Stood on the Side of the Law

- We all knew this would happen. I believe the Sejm Chancellery, Marshal Hołownia, and Minister Cichocki acted in a model fashion here. It couldn't have been done better, because in reality, the law could not be broken, and today we saw that the Marshal's Guard stood on the side of the law. It was painful for Polish democracy, because this image is never good when parliamentarians, showing their parliamentary credentials, attack the Marshal's Guard and try to force their way in – stated Grzegorz Schetyna on TVP Info.

Schetyna on Kamiński and Wąsik: When the verdict was passed, they should have already been out of the Sejm

- The problem was that actually they [Mariusz Kamiński and Maciej Wąsik] should have already been out of the Sejm when the verdict was passed. That is, they should not have been in the Sejm, voting and pretending to be MPs a few weeks ago. If this had been stopped then and demonstrated, there would be no incidents today. But the end crowns the work; today is a celebration of parliamentary democracy - stated Grzegorz Schetyna on TVP Info.

Schetyna on Kosiniak-Kamysz's Proposal: It's Difficult to Amend the Constitution with PiS, Who Violate It
I am not a proponent; I understand this is an idea put forth by Prime Minister Kosiniak-Kamysz, that the Constitution needs to be changed so that we can reset everything and the Constitutional Tribunal can once again be the Constitutional Tribunal, not a social gathering for Julia Przyłębska and her friends, but it's difficult to amend the Constitution with PiS, who violate the Constitution – stated Grzegorz Schetyna on TVP Info.
