Gawkowski:

I hope we manage to convince our friends from the Third Way on our abortion bill, though it's not going easily

- Abortion and women's rights are very important to The Left, hence the two separate bills [from Civic Coalition and The Left] on this matter. I hope, I trust, that we will manage to convince our friends from the Third Way on our abortion bill, although it's not going easily, because if someone has a deep conviction that they believe something shouldn't be available, then it's clear that it's not an easy path. I don't know how it will end - stated Krzysztof Gawkowski on the program "Sygnały dnia" on PR1.

Kotula:

The List of People Tortured by the PiS Government is Truly Long

- When I heard the words about torture yesterday, I wasn't thinking about the so-called political prisoners, as PiS calls them, meaning politicians convicted by a final verdict, Mr. Kamiński and Mr. Wąsik. I was thinking about women forced to give birth in cases of severe, embryopathological defects after the Constitutional Tribunal's ruling from 2020. I was thinking about people with disabilities who slept on the cold Sejm floor for 40 days, who pleaded to be heard. I was thinking about women protesting on the streets in 2016 and 2020, who were treated with batons. I was thinking about women who were treated with gas, including female MPs. I was thinking about all the people who died at the Polish-Belarusian border. This list of people tortured by the PiS government is truly long – stated Katarzyna Kotula on TVN24's "Jeden na jeden" program.

Kotula:

We Don't Have Time for Balls at the Presidential Palace, We Just Want to Work

- If the appointment of RDS members was to take place yesterday, at a time when the President knows well that most ministers, like myself, are parliamentarians, both male and female, and have our duties. We truly do not have time to go to the President, to applaud ourselves, to hug each other, to put on some kind of show at the Presidential Palace. We don't have time for balls at the Presidential Palace, we simply want to work - stated Katarzyna Kotula in "Jeden na jeden" on TVN24.

08:08

Kotula:

We Must Move Towards Liberalizing Abortion Law. I Warn My Fellow Politicians, Parliamentarians, and Ministers

- We must move towards liberalizing abortion law. I warn my fellow politicians, parliamentarians, but also ministers. In 4 years, PiS might return to power. It might return, also because as the coalition of October 15th, we will not fulfill the promises we made to women during the election campaign - stated Katarzyna Kotula on TVN24's "Jeden na jeden".

08:14

Kotula on the Civil Partnerships Bill: It's a Matter of Weeks, the Bill Will Be Ready by the End of Winter
It's just a matter of weeks now. As we promised and as the Prime Minister said, this bill will be ready by the end of winter. Then there will also be a decision on whether it will be a government bill or a parliamentary bill. I will be advocating for it to be a government bill – stated Katarzyna Kotula on TVN24's "Jeden na jeden" program.

Siemoniak:

The List of Pegasus-Infiltrated Individuals Will Be Surprising in Some Aspects to the Public
- The list [of individuals infiltrated by Pegasus] is much longer. There are significantly more names, but I don't want anyone to attach themselves to any specific number. However, it is significantly more than the disclosed cases - said Tomasz Siemoniak in an interview with Dariusz Ociepa on Polsat News' "Graffiti". - I will not discuss any details of this list here. I think anyone who has looked at the names that have appeared in public so far sees well that one of the criteria was people inconvenient for the authorities. So, please draw your own conclusions, because Krzysztof Brejza was not monitored because someone in the Inowrocław city hall stole a couple of paperclips [...], but because he revealed the awards of Prime Minister Szydło - he continued. - I confirm that this list will be surprising to the public in certain aspects. However, in which direction this surprise will go, I am not speaking for those who will see it at some point - he added.

08:43

Siemoniak:

We are working on a bill to liquidate the CBA. This does not mean the fight against corruption will cease
- Yes, we are working on a bill [to liquidate the CBA]. However, I am saying this very clearly, and this is also the will of the coalition from October 15, that this does not mean the fight against corruption will cease. We want different tools for this - said Tomasz Siemoniak in "Graffiti" on Polsat News. - She [the current head of the CBA] said that the fight against corruption will continue and all those who engage in it honestly, and there are very many of them in the CBA, primarily former police officers from the CBŚP [...]. However, one must be realistic, because this liquidation bill must be signed by the president, and the head of the CBA cannot say "now we wait a year and a half". The CBA must function normally, it is functioning normally - he continued. - There will be a bill, there will be the Sejm, the Senate, we will persuade President Andrzej Duda to sign such a bill, creating a new system for fighting corruption - he continued.

08:54

Gawkowski:

The Kamiński and Wąsik Case is Clear: They Are No Longer MPs, Cannot Be in the Sejm Chamber, Cannot Vote

- If there is a clear declaration in the law and the constitution that a person convicted by a final judgment cannot hold office, does not have a mandate, it means they cannot be in the Sejm chamber and vote. The case of Mr. Kamiński and Mr. Wąsik is like this: they were MPs, they are no longer MPs, they cannot be in the Sejm chamber, they cannot vote. End of story - stated Krzysztof Gawkowski on the PR1 program “Sygnały dnia”.

08:59

Gawkowski:

Talks Underway Regarding a Joint Electoral Start for The Left with Civic Coalition in Local Elections

- Talks are underway regarding a joint electoral start [for The Left with Civic Coalition in local elections]. I know that the leaders of our party have entered into such a dialogue with Donald Tusk, a good and effective one, because in my opinion it offers the prospect that we will run in the local elections as a bloc that will not only win the elections, but will take power away from PiS in all regional assemblies. We want to win all 16 voivodeships, even Podkarpacie - stated Krzysztof Gawkowski on the program "Sygnały dnia" on PR1.

09:11

Kierwiński:

The Date for the Ceremony Set by the Presidential Office Was Highly Unfortunate
- We are absolutely not at war [with the President], but yesterday there was a Sejm session. The place for MPs, as well as ministers, yesterday was the Sejm, parliamentary debates, possibly committees, possibly also work in the ministry [...] this date [for the appointment ceremony to the Social Dialogue Council] set by the President's office was highly unfortunate - said Marcin Kierwiński in an interview with Beata Michniewicz on "Trójka's Political Salon". - I don't know where such information from the Presidential Office [that everyone confirmed their participation in the ceremony] came from, because I, for example, did not confirm. Perhaps the office assumed that once they sent an invitation, everyone confirms - he continued.

09:15

Kierwiński:

I have the impression that Kamiński and Wąsik very much want to be political martyrs
- I am listening to two gentlemen sentenced by a final court ruling, I am listening to what they are saying, and I have the impression that they very much want to be political martyrs, but they are not martyrs. They were convicted, convicted of exceeding their authority, and the Polish police were solely and exclusively enforcing a court ruling. If someone wants to look for some kind of demonstration in what happened that day, the extreme demonstration was that two convicted individuals were present in the Presidential Palace - said Marcin Kierwiński on Trójka.

09:22

Kierwiński:

At Kaczyński's future events, half the city won't be closed off and half of Warsaw's police won't be deployed.
- We will also be rebuilding the image of the Polish police, and we will be eliminating all those pathologies that police unions and the police officers themselves have pointed out to us. I very often heard ordinary police officers say very clearly: we do not want to be the security agency for Mr. Kaczyński and PiS, we do not want to act in the interest of any political party, only in the interest of citizens. And this is precisely what the Polish police are doing now, meaning, for example, that at Mr. MP Kaczyński's future events, half the city is not closed off, and half of Warsaw's police are not pulled away, solely to protect Mr. MP Kaczyński's comfort - said Marcin Kierwiński on Trójka.

09:25

Kierwiński:

When it comes to torture, Kaczyński is simply talking nonsense
- Regarding the issue of torture, please forgive me, I know these will be strong words, but Mr. Kaczyński is simply talking nonsense. I understand it's difficult for him to accept the situation where he can no longer issue orders to the entire state without any procedure, that it's hard for him to come to terms with this, but that's how it will be, Mr. Deputy Kaczyński - said Marcin Kierwiński in Trójka.

09:41

Bosacki:

I am glad that finally, after two years of PiS obstruction, the Pegasus investigative committee will be established

- I am glad that finally, after two years of PiS obstruction, the Pegasus investigative committee will be established in the Polish Sejm. It will be established because only Poland and Hungary used this spyware not to pursue terrorists or pedophile networks, but to surveil the opposition - stated Marcin Bosacki in the Sejm.

- You used Pegasus for political struggle, and finally, the investigative committee in the Polish Sejm will clarify this - he continued.

09:47

Parliament Appoints Members to Pegasus Investigative Committee

Mariusz Gosek, Sebastian Łukaszewicz, Jacek Ozdoba, Marcin Przydacz (PiS), Marcin Bosacki, Joanna Kluzik-Rostkowska, Witold Zembaczyński (KO), Magdalena Sroka (PSL-TD), Paweł Śliz (PL2050-TD), Tomasz Trela (Lewica), and Przemysław Wipler (Konfederacja) – these individuals have been selected by the Sejm to serve on the investigative committee concerning Pegasus.

09:50

Kukiz:

In the previous term, Kukiz'15 also had 3 members, and you yourselves offered me the position of committee chair. This is all a sham

- I was called out by MP Bosacki, so I remind you that I was never in a PiS government. If you have any reservations and fear foul play, you should rather look at your colleague, Magdalena Sroka, because she participated in this government. The second matter is, Mr. Speaker, that at the previous session you were kind enough to state that the Kukiz'15 parliamentary group has too few members to even be considered when nominating candidates. I remind you that in the previous term, Kukiz15 also had three members, and you yourselves then offered me the position of chair of a committee with the same scope of action. Three MPs did not bother you then, so this is all a sham. The point is to hit some while sweeping your own sins under the carpet. It has always been like this and it will continue to be so - stated Paweł Kukiz in the Sejm.

10:14

Tomczyk:

Miller's Report Returns to Ministry of National Defence Website. It is the Only Binding Document on the Smolensk Catastrophe
- As the leadership of the Ministry of National Defence, we decided that Jerzy Miller's report would return to the Ministry of National Defence website. [...] I also wanted to inform, on behalf of state authorities, that Jerzy Miller's report is the only binding report concerning the catastrophe near Smolensk. I believe this is very important from the perspective of state security and aviation safety - said Cezary Tomczyk in the Sejm. - I would like to thank Jerzy Miller, Maciej Lasek, Colonel Grochowski, and the entire Jerzy Miller commission for not breaking their character, despite their careers and biographies being destroyed. That they, when it comes to the matter of truth, remained in that truth throughout the period when Antoni Macierewicz was spinning his tales and lies - he continued.

10:36

Sroka to Chair Pegasus Investigation Committee

Magdalena Sroka has been elected as the chairwoman of the parliamentary committee investigating the use of Pegasus spyware. 10 MPs voted 'in favour', with no votes against and one abstention.

Marcin Bosacki, Paweł Śliz, Tomasz Trela, and Przemysław Wipler were appointed as deputy chairmen.

11:16

Domański:

I Dismissed Patkowski from the Position of President of the Polish Audit Supervision Authority
I have dismissed Mr. Piotr Patkowski from the position of President of the Polish Audit Supervision Authority. Mr. Patkowski does not possess the competencies necessary to fulfill such an important function for the Polish economy - Andrzej Domański wrote on Twitter.

11:23

Kaczyński:

If the Sejm does not recognize the Extraordinary Control Chamber, it simply ceases to exist

- In my opinion, if the Sejm does not recognize the Extraordinary Control Chamber [of the Supreme Court], it simply ceases to exist at this moment. If the Sejm claims that the Extraordinary Control Chamber is not a court, then the elections have not been confirmed, meaning the Sejm does not exist, and Mr. Szymon Hołownia is not the Marshal of the Sejm - Jarosław Kaczyński told journalists in the Sejm.

- We are currently in a complete constitutional crisis. We essentially have no authority that respects the constitution, or even wants to respect the constitution. Well, this should be dealt with by Mr. President, but these are his decisions - he continued.

11:42

Duda Meets with Kosiniak-Kamysz:

It’s High Time to Sit Down and Talk Calmly.

A meeting between President Andrzej Duda and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz has begun at the National Security Bureau (BBN). - Topics being discussed include, among others, the presidential draft law on the actions of state authorities in the event of an external threat to state security, including reforms to the command and control system; appointments to the positions of Commander-in-Chief and Commander of the Territorial Defence Force; technical modernization of the Polish Armed Forces and arms contracts - the Bureau informed.

- I am glad that there is finally an opportunity to meet, amidst, if I may say so, many different events happening, but it is high time to sit down and talk calmly. It’s good that we are in this room, because there are various topics we can address thanks to this - the President said at the beginning of the meeting, as can be heard in the recording published by the BBN.

11:52

Sroka:

The Pegasus Commission Must Reveal Who Was Surveilled and Why Such a Sensitive System Was Used for Political Warfare

- This commission will have to show everyone, the public, who was under surveillance, why such a sensitive and specific system was used for political warfare, for fighting political competition, for destroying opponents. I am convinced this commission will reveal and uncover many more individuals against whom this system was used, about whom we do not yet know today. A matter that requires condemnation, namely the transfer of materials obtained through operational work to public television - stated Magdalena Sroka at a press conference in the Sejm.

12:41

Kaczyński:

What I called torture is treated as torture in EU documents

- In my opinion, this is the simplest way to restore the rule of law in Poland and to avoid a situation where we have a series of actions that are extremely immoral, for example, imprisoning people who fought against crime, as happened recently, and one of them was tortured in the process. Regardless of protests from various circles, this is in line with EU regulations, or rather, Council of Europe regulations. What I called torture is precisely described as torture in their documents, and such a method was used, even though it was known that he was being released, even though no final verdict had been reached in the case - stated Jarosław Kaczyński at a press briefing.

- Because it is the court that must order such a procedure, that is, forced feeding. This was a decision – I believe – from the very top. I don't know personally whether it was Minister Bodnar or Prime Minister Tusk himself, but in any case, it was intended to be a threat to someone who leaves prison against the will of these people. This itself deserves a very long sentence for those who decided on and carried out such actions - he continued.

12:41

Kaczyński:

I have no intention of apologizing to anyone. It was a procedure of torture

- I have no intention of apologizing to anyone. This wasn't about the Prison Service, but actually about judges and doctors. This is not an apology, but a clarification. It was a procedure of torture. And who applied the torture, well, one could use other comparisons, of course – stated Jarosław Kaczyński at a press briefing.

12:41

Kaczyński to Journalist: "TVP is Criminally Taken Over at the Moment. I Do Not Speak with Them."

- Sir, TVP, Panorama is criminally taken over at the moment. I do not speak with them. I will not speak [with TVP] - stated Jarosław Kaczyński at a press briefing.

12:44

Kaczyński:

We Will Have an Intense Weekend, All Voivodeships Will Be Covered
- We will have an intense weekend. Effectively, all voivodeships will be visited. The message we want to convey to society is as follows: this government promised 100 concrete actions, and the reality is that the Constitution is being violated, while we were constantly accused of this without any basis. The law is being broken, state institutions are being taken over, including the prosecution, and this is happening in a forceful manner. Moreover, institutions such as television and radio were also taken over forcefully - Jarosław Kaczyński said at a press conference. - We are dealing with a double game. In Poland, people are told, citizens are told, the Prime Minister himself says, that nothing will change, we are against treaty changes, etc., but something completely different is said when in Brussels, when in fact we are dealing with consent to this German dictate, to this German path. A path that is proceeding in a way that was easy to predict, meaning there are some minor concessions compared to the original law, but the essence is the same: in reality, we will lose sovereignty - he continued. - Where is our 60,000 PLN tax-free, where is the promise kept to teachers? It was supposed to be 1,500 PLN added to the base [salary], and it is significantly less [...]. If you analyze it, the majority of this sum was given by the previous government [...]. Certain initiatives are being liquidated, there is no zero-interest loan [...], the 2% loan etc. has been liquidated, meaning the principle "what has been given will not be taken away" is also not being adhered to, and we need to tell our compatriots about all of this - he went on to say. - We are traveling there as a six-person delegation [...]. It will, of course, be expanded, because we are first going to the voivodeship cities, then to all former voivodeship cities [...], and then also to all powiats (counties) - he added.

14:00

Kosiniak-Kamysz:

Security is the Common Denominator. Cooperation Between the Government, President, and Parliament is Necessary
- There are certainly many political emotions that accompany us every day, but the fundamental issue for us, for our coalition, for Poland, for all of us, is the issue of security. [...] From the very first days in office, I, and our entire coalition, strongly declared that security matters are a priority - said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz at a press conference following a meeting with President Andrzej Duda. - Of course, there are political differences on many issues between political circles [...], but on the matter of security, there is a common denominator. It stems from the state interests of Poland, but also from what is happening in Ukraine. This common language on security exists - he continued. - We have a record budget. Together with the Armed Forces Support Fund, it amounts to 160 billion [...] for the modernization, maintenance, and functioning of the Polish Army. It is very important that [... ] soldiers of the Polish Army, those who work, and civilian employees of the army are appreciated. That is why there will be a 20 percent salary and remuneration increase - he continued. - Cooperation between the government, the president, and the parliament is indispensable, it is necessary, and we will implement it - assured the Minister of National Defence.

14:06

Kosiniak-Kamysz:

Soldiers Serve Poland and its Citizens, They Must Never Serve Political Forces
- Soldiers serve the Republic. They do not serve, and can never serve, either political forces or even the bodies that oversee them. They serve the Republic and its citizens – this is a fundamental principle for me. I will adhere to it very strongly – stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz at a press conference.

15:31

Wiącek:

For Years, Poland Has Faced an Unprecedented Judicial Crisis – A Threat to the Protection of Freedoms and Human Rights

- For several years now, Poland has been grappling with an unprecedented crisis of the judiciary. Our country is regularly the subject of rulings from European courts. Rulings that the Republic of Poland is obligated to implement, as a member state of international communities: the EU and the Council of Europe. Until this happens, the crisis will deepen, and we are currently facing, and I do not hesitate to use this word, legal chaos. This arises from fundamental reservations regarding the status and legal validity of rulings from the most important judicial bodies, including the Supreme Court and the Constitutional Tribunal. This is an obvious threat to the protection of freedoms and human rights in Poland – stated Marcin Wiącek in the Sejm.

15:35

Wiącek:

It's Necessary to Change the Rules for Appointing the KRS Members and Eliminate Legal Grounds for Punishing Judges for the Content of Their Rulings
- I would like to appeal from this place to you, members of parliament, for the most urgent regulation of the situation within the Polish judiciary. A change in the rules for appointing the National Council of the Judiciary (KRS) is necessary; it is necessary to eliminate the legal grounds for punishing judges for the content of their rulings, except in cases of egregious and obvious violations. It is necessary to repeal the provisions granting the Minister of Justice, who is also the superior of prosecutors, the competence to influence jurisdictional activities and the status of a judge - said Marcin Wiącek in the Sejm. - Furthermore, legal grounds should be created to enable the lifting of reservations regarding judges appointed since 2018, as well as three individuals on the Constitutional Tribunal. These changes are essential to ensure the protection of the freedoms and rights of Polish citizens, as well as to strengthen Poland's position, which has recently been shaken, as a country respecting the values that unite the states forming the European community - the Ombudsman continued.

16:29

6 Citizen Bills and a Vote of No Confidence Against Bodnar – Hołownia Announces Next Sejm Session

We want to process all citizen bills that were here in the Sejm from the previous term, all 10 of them, because we've read them, 6 remain. So, on the second day of deliberations, because the first day will feature a vote of no confidence against Minister Bodnar and many other things, on the second day, the bill concerning widow's pensions and seniority pensions, submitted by the Solidarity movement, and on the following day, 4 citizen bills – stated Szymon Hołownia in a conversation with journalists in the Sejm.

16:30

Hołownia:

This Sejm is not about Kamiński and Wąsik. I'm a little resentful of them for allowing it

- This Sejm is not about Kamiński and Wąsik. This Sejm is truly about the RPO (Commissioner for Human Rights), who was here today with their very important report, and about people with disabilities who were here yesterday. We are dealing with two MPs, and I am also a little resentful of them for allowing this, for letting themselves obscure all these people for whom the Sejm is a place to resolve their important life matters. It simply shouldn't be like this - stated Szymon Hołownia in a conversation with journalists in the Sejm.

16:57

Hołownia:

Kaczyński should slow down with metaphors, as they will quickly run out

- In this matter, there are no doubts, whether someone likes it or not. It is a resolution of the Sejm that speaks very clearly about it. However, if someone says that the Sejm de facto does not exist, then this is important information for the Chancellery of the Sejm, because perhaps it is time to stop paying salaries. We are analyzing this matter now in the Chancellery, because it would be an unbearable contradiction, in which we would not want to place PiS MPs - stated Szymon Hołownia in an interview with journalists in the Sejm.

- And speaking quite seriously, Mr. Kaczyński, in my opinion, perhaps he will also consider me a whippersnapper, but in my opinion he should slow down a bit with metaphors, because they will quickly run out - he continued.

17:25

Bodnar and Śmiszek in Brussels: "We Told Europe One Thing: We Are Back"
- We have just concluded an informal meeting of EU Justice Ministers. It was a very intensive, important meeting, and particularly special for us, as Minister Ziobro never graced the Justice Ministers' gatherings with his presence. Consequently, many delegations emphasized how significant it was for them to finally be able to converse with and get to know the Minister of Justice from Poland - Adam Bodnar stated at a press briefing in Brussels. - Such informal meetings are not only about discussing what the future holds in the context of EU law and its functioning, but also an opportunity for various bilateral meetings. Yesterday, we met with Věra Jourová and Commissioner Didier Reynders. Today […] we have bilateral meetings with Lithuania, Sweden, and Germany. And yesterday, a meeting with the Netherlands and Austria. Each such meeting is an opportunity to explain the situation in Poland and how we are managing the restoration of the rule of law - he continued. - Poland, today and yesterday in Brussels, has demonstrated that we are very committed to cooperation with European institutions, but we are also committed to regaining credibility in these bilateral contacts. […] We told Europe one thing: we have returned to Europe, we are talking with everyone who is building Europe and who cares about the continuation of the European project - Krzysztof Śmiszek commented.

17:38

Bodnar:

I have a dream that the Article 7 procedure won't cast a shadow over us on May 1st
- Yesterday, Article 7 [of the Treaty on European Union] was the subject of discussions with both Commissioner Reynders and President Jourová. Of course, we will strive to take all possible actions to ensure that the Article 7 procedure is not applied to Poland. This will require [...] legislative changes, the presentation of appropriate draft laws, and an action plan in this context - said Adam Bodnar at a press briefing in Brussels. - I personally have such a dream – I don't know if it will succeed, but it's always worth having dreams – that when we celebrate the 20th anniversary of Poland's accession to the EU, on May 1, 2024, this very Article 7, which places us in such a situation and position that is unauthorized from the perspective of everything we would like to achieve in Poland and our commitment to the rule of law, will not be weighing over us - stated the Minister of Justice.

19:41

Czarzasty:

No Need for Early Elections Today

- There is no need for early elections today because, let me remind you, and I'm sure you remember, elections were held three months ago. There is no need to hold new elections, unless someone is named Jarosław Kaczyński, doesn't know what to do with their political formation, with politics, and doesn't know what strategy and tactics to adopt, then they invent things that are impossible to implement, and early elections are one such thing - stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty on the program "Gość Wydarzeń" on Polsat News.

19:42

Czarzasty:

Sejm Will Not Be Dissolved, As There Are No Reasons For It

- The Sejm will not be dissolved, as there are no reasons for it. PiS and Jarosław Kaczyński are behaving as if the Polish Sejm doesn't exist, but the Polish Sejm does exist, it is managed very well by Marshal Szymon Hołownia, and it is implementing all its plans. The last and most important thing for us was the adoption of the budget - stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty on the program "Gość Wydarzeń" (Guest of Events) on Polsat News.

19:47

Czarzasty:

I Hold President Duda, Ziobro, and PiS Responsible. You've Destroyed the KRS and the Constitutional Tribunal, I Won't Forgive You for This

- I hold President Andrzej Duda responsible for this, I hold Zbigniew Ziobro responsible for this, and I hold PiS responsible for this, for having disrupted this country's rule of law in an unheard-of way. You've destroyed the National Council of the Judiciary and the Constitutional Tribunal. I won't forgive you for this - stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty on the program "Gość Wydarzeń" on Polsat News.

19:47

Sienkiewicz on charges against notary regarding public media changes: I am calm about the outcome
- I am absolutely certain of the outcome of this great effort by the prosecutors – this outcome will be in the courtroom. I have no doubt about the verdict in this case – said Bartłomiej Sienkiewicz at a press conference in Krakow, when asked about the prosecutor’s charges against a notary in the investigation concerning resolutions regarding changes in public media authorities. - It's a bit of a waste of effort, but I understand that some of the prosecutors – to put it plainly – have a somewhat different opinion regarding the legality of the actions taken. They have the right to investigate, and I am the last person who would forbid them from doing so. But as for the outcome – I am calm – he stated.

20:32

Kidawa-Błońska:

Kaczyński Has Been Saying Very Strange and Bad Things Lately
- Indeed, the president [Jarosław Kaczyński] has been saying very strange, bad things lately, and it seems to me that the less we talk about it, the better for our state - said Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska on the program 'Fakty po faktach' on TVN24.

20:33

Kidawa-Błońska:

If the President Had Followed the Constitution, We Wouldn't Be in Such a Difficult Place
- If the President in his life had been guided by adherence to the constitution, by caring for the legal system in Poland, we wouldn't be in this difficult place that we are in now – stated Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska on TVN24.

20:39

Kidawa-Błońska:

Sometimes I feel that after losing the elections, PiS is trying to stage a rebellion against our state
- The chairman cannot come to terms with the fact that his party has lost power, and it lost it because Poles wanted it to. Because he doesn't want to accept this, he is taking truly irrational actions. Because these types of complaints directed at European institutions actually ridicule the chairman as a person, and ridicule the party he leads. They show that these are absurd actions and inconsistent with any principles – Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska said on TVN24. - Complaining that there are political prisoners in Poland, presenting one's party colleagues as political prisoners, is not taken seriously by anyone, and in reality, our country's authority suffers from it – she continued. - I sometimes have the impression that after these lost elections, PiS is trying to stage a rebellion against our state. In an illegal way, by further hindering the functioning of institutions that Poles should trust – she added.

20:42

Kidawa-Błońska:

I am convinced that the scenarios undertaken by the Ministry of Culture regarding public media are the best possible
- I am convinced that the scenarios undertaken by the Ministry of Culture to introduce normality in public media are the best possible ones available at this moment. We are awaiting further court rulings, and documents are being supplemented. That hatred and the lies that were there had to be stopped, and we could not wait for a new media law. Because it is very much needed, but stopping the lies and hate was needed immediately, and that has happened – stated Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska on TVN24.
