- It is important that we also develop the Cyber Defence Forces Component. This is one of the elements we have well-prepared. - We must unequivocally confirm, and we will do so, full, mutual support from both sides in confronting evil. There is nothing more important than supporting Ukraine in its war effort against the Russian aggression, and this is issue number 1. We also have many bilateral matters to discuss, including interests; there are certain conflicts of interest, we know this well, and we will talk about them, but in the spirit of not only friendship, which is obvious, but with the intention of resolving these problems as quickly as possible, not of maintaining or multiplying them. - Today's (January 22, 2024) entry by judicial registrar Tomasz Kosub in the National Court Register, refusing to disclose the opening of TVP's liquidation, does not result in any change to the Company's status or its authorities. Telewizja Polska S.A. remains in liquidation based on the resolution of the Company's General Shareholders' Meeting (WZA). Mr. Daniel Gorgosz, appointed by the same WZA resolution, is the liquidator of the Company - the Ministry of Culture informed in a statement.

- Only a potential legally binding judgment from a commercial court annulling the WZA resolution could effectively challenge the legality of the initiated liquidation process of the Company and the appointment of the liquidator, who continues to serve in his capacity under the law. The same applies analogously to the effectiveness of the appointment by the WZA of the new Supervisory Board of Telewizja Polska S.A. in liquidation (composed of: Piotr Zemła, Maciej Taborowski, and Anisa Gnacikowska) - it was stated.

- We must remember that the December 13th coalition does not respect the prerogatives of the President of the Republic. Because President Andrzej Duda pardoned both gentlemen in 2015, and if we look at the legal textbooks from that period, there is a clear statement that the president can carry out an act of pardon at any stage (…). Therefore, the Minister of Justice now bears responsibility for the consequences of the December 13th coalition's actions. Let's look at how judgments were issued under Article 231 [of the Penal Code], how people ended up in prison, and for what. So, they didn't end up there for fighting corruption. Here we are dealing with the revenge of the deep state. With the revenge of those who opposed the fight against corruption – said Mariusz Błaszczak at a press conference.

- Today we can say without hesitation, Russia is no better than the Soviet Union in its most aggressive imperial era. One might even say that in some aspects, Putin's Russia is more dangerous and cruel than the Soviet Union. It would therefore seem that people like Viktor Orban, precisely because they remember those times, should stand resolutely by our side and do everything to support Ukraine - stated Donald Tusk during a meeting with students in Kyiv.

- I want to tell you that we will find a way in Europe, and we are currently working on it, for Europe to clearly support Ukraine, with or without Orban, both in the process of Ukraine's integration with the EU and in direct, immediate aid - he continued.

- Today's lack of registration has no impact whatsoever on the functioning of these companies. The moment an objection or appeal is filed against this registrar's decision, nothing changes. Legally, the status of the companies remains the same, and they operate normally as they would at any other time. This means that the liquidators are still liquidators, they continue to act in care of the entrusted assets and property, buildings, and oversee the implementation of correct decisions within these companies - stated Bartłomiej Sienkiewicz during a press statement.

- The case is peculiar in that 11 registrars across the country have issued fundamentally different rulings, registering companies into the National Court Register (KRS). Here, we are dealing with two refusals, and what's more, in the Warsaw court, which has already registered one company, Radio dla Ciebie. There is no legal difference between regional joint-stock companies and TVP joint-stock company, between Polish Radio SA and a radio company from Koszalin. They are exactly the same type of company. So one could say – 11:2. But that's not the point. I am convinced that this whole story will end well; there are very strong legal arguments in favor of our appeal, and I have no fear whatsoever regarding its outcome – stated Bartłomiej Sienkiewicz during a statement to the media.

- This is not just a legal dispute over who controls television. It's a dispute over the essence of public life in Poland. Should a political party possess media tools through which it lies, incites hatred, destroys public life, and effectively leads to a Polish-Polish war? Do such media even have the right to exist in a democratic country? In my deepest conviction, absolutely not. Hence my decision to place these companies into liquidation. I hope that through the restructuring and rehabilitation of these companies, a completely different effect can be achieved than what we observed over the last 8 years - stated Bartłomiej Sienkiewicz during a press statement.

- The liquidation has not been reversed. The liquidator will perform their duties until the verdict. Nothing will change in these companies, and it will continue this way - stated Bartłomiej Sienkiewicz during a media statement.

- Ukraine is currently the shield of all of Europe, a shield against Russian imperialism, barbarism, authoritarianism, and the security of all European states depends on how strong this shield will be. And our Polish friends have always understood this, which is why Poland has been among the leaders in military aid to Ukraine since the first days of the war. We are very grateful for this help and support, and we expect that the new government of Poland will give a new impetus in this direction – stated the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal at a press conference.

- Today, the Prime Minister of Poland announced the transfer of a new military aid package; Mr. Prime Minister, thank you for that. This will allow us to further strengthen our cooperation in the area of defense production, and will also support our army and bring us closer to regaining the territorial integrity of our state – he continued.

- Today, we also discussed many matters of bilateral cooperation with the Prime Minister, and it is important that this cooperation exists and should remain mutually beneficial. This is, of course, a matter of unimpeded movement of our goods across the border. We believe that at present, this issue has already been resolved, the border is unblocked, and joint work is yielding results. For our part, we have committed to preventing damage and to supporting Polish carriers and farmers. We also count on Poland taking steps from its side to eliminate restrictions for Ukrainian producers and farmers – stated the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal, at a press conference.

- We also expect the EU to extend measures towards liberalizing trade and transport with Ukraine, and for our part, we also inform that bills are already being processed in the Ukrainian parliament, which will also ensure compliance with the requirements foreseen by EU procedures – he added.

- What was a priority for me was to find a language where both sides understand what they are truly after. What is common ground, where does a conflict of interests arise, and how to resolve such a conflict. On the most important issue, which is the war, which is Ukraine's war for independence and integrity, but also Ukraine's war with Russia in defense of our values, of all of Europe. This includes Polish security. On this matter, there is no discussion; we have a unified opinion here – stated Donald Tusk at a press conference in Kyiv.

- In these specific matters that aroused so much emotion. So, the interests of Polish carriers, the situation at the border, related to the blockade in recent weeks – this was the subject of our very concrete discussion. The suspension of the blockade on one hand, and the actions of the Ukrainian side in terms of facilitating passage for Polish carriers returning from Ukraine, have led to a very clear improvement in the situation at the border itself; there are no longer these dramatic queues – Donald Tusk said at a press conference in Kyiv.

- I also received with great satisfaction today the information that laws are already prepared that will equalize, in terms of standards, European, Polish carriers, and Ukrainian carriers – he added.

- Energy cooperation is completely free of any controversies, and we will invest in it, our energy, our joint resources, and we will certainly achieve very quick results here. The information that the Ukrainian side is interested in the presence of Polish companies, and on the basis of concessions, when it comes to the highway connecting the Polish border at Krakowiec all the way to Równe in the future, with the Lviv bypass. This is indeed very exciting information that Polish firms, Polish investors could be involved, not only involved in the construction of the highway, but also in being co-hosts of this project – stated Donald Tusk at a press conference in Kyiv.

- I am calmly awaiting the overall results of this audit. Because if this audit is to provide general conclusions on how the police, led by Mr. Szymczyk, and the ministry, led by Messrs. - In my personal opinion, we are dealing with a situation where the justice system has many political appointees who still long for that PiS rule, and they are making various imprudent decisions. - I have always been a proponent of a broad front grouping all pro-democratic formations. However, in these [local government] elections, the most likely scenario appears to be two electoral blocs. What caused so many people to feel disgusted being teachers. They felt very bad in this profession, which lowered the dignity of teachers, was the hate campaign conducted by PiS in 2019.
