Dear Ladies and Gentlemen, we are slowly bidding farewell to the year 2023… What a year it has been… it will go down in Polish history as a time of breakthrough. I want to thank you very much for this year. It was difficult, full of great emotions, disputes, but also civic awakening and the triumph of democracy. We managed to break the record for voter turnout. The past months have taught us that the impossible becomes possible. And today, here, on public television, as the Prime Minister of the Republic, I can repeat before you the oath I took during the March of a Million Hearts.

If only you could hear all the compliments, the admiration for Poles and their wisdom, that I have heard from leaders of states and global authorities. I had the pleasure of listening to this while receiving congratulations, but this great recognition is for each and every one of you. It is you who amazed the world in 2023. It is thanks to you that hope for all people yearning for freedom flowed from Poland. We can be proud, and I thank you very much for this.

We all dream of normality, agreement, and certainty of tomorrow. This is the task for the coming year. We will put things right, trust science and experts and common sense again. In international politics, we will rebuild our position and significance. We will replace quarrels with allies with tough, but friendly, conversations about our interests and the search for common ground.

It's time for a happy Poland. I sincerely wish this for all of us.
