Petru:

If Someone Is Innocent, They Don't Hang a Banner Outside Their House Saying 'I Am Innocent.' I Am Against a Clean Slate
- I don't want to quantify it precisely right now, but to a large extent [inflation] is the responsibility of the NBP. Its main objective is inflation at 2.5% plus/minus 1, and Morawiecki only added extra fuel to the fire. In principle, however, the NBP is primarily responsible for the relatively high inflation in Poland. One must compare with other countries, not just with what was before – stated Ryszard Petru in the program "Jeden na jeden" on TVN24. - If someone is innocent, they don't hang a banner outside their house saying 'I am innocent.' The truth is, if [Glapiński] hangs such banners, it means there's something to it. And now I will say this: I am against a clean slate. I believe that in the case of individuals in PiS who committed crimes or broke the law, there can be no clean slate – he continued.

08:16

Petru:

Motion for impeachment must be substantively strong. What the NBP did was dangerous for the economy and led to increased inflation

- However, I want to emphasize that if laws have been clearly broken, especially the constitution, and that is the case with the NBP. I am convinced that the constitution has been violated in two articles. Article 220, paragraph 2 of the constitution, precisely, and Article 227, paragraph 4 of the constitution – Ryszard Petru said on TVN24.

- I just wanted to point out that these are two very strong charges. Fundamental charges because no one in Poland has been brought before the State Tribunal for a long time. This motion for the State Tribunal must be substantively very strong, as little political as possible. The decision will, of course, be political at the end of the day, but this first charge, I say as an economist, with full responsibility, what the NBP did was dangerous for the economy, it led to increased inflation – he continued.

08:16

Petru:

Morawiecki's Budget Postponement is a Trap for the Opposition to Enter the New Year with Higher Electricity Prices and Blame It All on Us

- [Morawiecki's budget postponement] is a trap for the opposition, to create little time, to cause nervousness, to enter this new year with the old budget, with higher electricity prices, and to blame it all on us. Fortunately, as you know, we are taking certain actions in parliament – stated Ryszard Petru on TVN24.

08:30

Bartoszewski on Entering Government: No One Spoke to Me, I Have No Information

- I know nothing about it. Decisions are made by Prime Minister Donald Tusk and the minister, who will most likely be Radosław Sikorski. No one has spoken to me, therefore I have no information here. Rumors are circulating in the media on all topics, especially personal ones - stated Władysław Teofil Bartoszewski in an interview with Grzegorz Kępka on Polsat News' Graffiti program.

08:36

Bartoszewski:

Wind Turbine Act Draft to Be Amended

- You are referring to the draft act that was submitted yesterday. This draft will be amended and refined in committee. It is obvious that we will return to the draft prepared by PSL in the previous term, namely the liquidation of the 10H Act from 2016 - stated Władysław Teofil Bartoszewski in Polsat News' Graffiti program.

08:46

Hennig-Kloska:

There is no wind farm scandal. We prepared a very good bill that requires clarification of regulations
- There is no wind farm scandal. A group of people who have been blocking energy transformation for the last eight years, simultaneously reducing coal extraction in Poland and making us dependent on imports of fossil fuels, which led to the energy crisis, are attacking our bill today - said Paulina Hennig-Kloska in a conversation with Bogdan Rymanowski on the "Gość Radia ZET" program. - We have incorporated noise standards into this bill, which are intended to increase the safety of citizens living in rural areas [...]. The liberalization of regulations concerning onshore wind development has been promised by all opposition parties for the last seven years - she continued. - The applicant for this bill is Civic Platform, but I have been working on it for the last two weeks, I believe, and I think we have prepared a very good bill that requires clarification of regulations in certain areas to dispel doubts about our intentions - she went on to say.

Pekao Analysts: 2024 Will Be the Year of Bonds

08:50

Hennig-Kloska:

There were no lobbyists. The main lobbyist invented by Solidarna Polska is an employee of the Sejm Chancellery
- There were no lobbyists [...] the main lobbyist, who was invented by the Solidarna Polska milieu and proclaimed a lobbyist by Prime Minister Beata Szydło, turned out to be an employee of the Sejm Chancellery who directs documents to the system. This shows what an absurd attack we have been facing for 48 hours, and the question is who is behind it, because the main stakeholder and the main party interested in halting the energy transformation process in Poland is Putin - Paulina Hennig-Kloska said on Radio ZET.

08:59

Hennig-Kloska:

By Adopted Standards, Wind Turbines at 104-105 dB Can Be Located 546 or 607 m from Homes. Noise Standards Will Also Be Introduced
- Wind turbines being built in Poland today have a noise level of approximately 104-105 decibels. According to the standards we have adopted, such wind turbines can be located at a distance of 546 or 607 meters [from homes]. This shows that we are within the norms, and even above the social norms that were recently considered good - said Paulina Hennig-Kloska on Radio ZET. - We will absolutely not back down from noise standards, because they are intended to ensure two things: firstly, the comfort of life for residents in rural areas [...] what is the second goal of these provisions: to prevent scrap metal from coming to Poland, so that we do not install noisy, environmentally unfriendly, and people-unfriendly installations here - she continued.

09:01

Fogiel on the "Wind Turbine Act": This Looks Like an Act Written Under Lobbyist Dictation

- This looks like an act written under lobbyist dictation. It's an act of almost 100 pages, with very specific, specialized references, and amendments to many other acts. It's hard to believe that a group of MPs dealing with energy prices and tariffs would suddenly produce dozens of pages of such provisions - stated Radosław Fogiel during the TVP1 program "Political Quarter of an Hour".

- This needs to be explained, this scandal is enormous. Indeed, the first Sejm session hasn't even concluded, and we already have this type of insertion. It's good that this is being highlighted, because Poles need to know what kind of team now holds the majority in the Sejm, as I don't rule out that this is just the beginning of this kind of repayment to various forces and entrepreneurs - he added.

09:02

Fogiel:

Provisions Completely Demolishing Wind Turbine Construction Regulations Introduced Through the Back Door

- Yesterday, it turned out that in a parliamentary bill co-signed by MPs from Civic Platform and Poland 2050, which was intended to be a law to freeze energy prices, provisions were introduced through the back door that completely demolish the regulations regarding wind turbine construction, enabling expropriations for these turbines, including agricultural land, which is significant - stated Radosław Fogiel in the TVP1 program "Political Quarter of an Hour".

09:02

Hennig-Kloska:

We have a legal opinion clearly stating that people cannot be expropriated based on this act
- There are no grounds to expropriate people based on this act. This is absolutely scandalous disinformation and fear-mongering by the United Right among the public. We have a legal opinion that clearly shows people cannot be expropriated based on this act. We will certainly present it at the commission – said Paulina Hennig-Kloska in Radio ZET.

09:04

Fogiel:

The PSL Will Now Face Many Situations Where They Learn About Decisions Harming the Polish Countryside

- The PSL will now face many situations where they will learn about certain decisions that harm the Polish countryside. These are the parliamentary colleagues they chose - stated Radosław Fogiel on TVP1's "Political Quarter Hour" program.

09:11

Hennig-Kloska:

First Reading Should Be Next Week, Then Committee with Opportunity for Input, but Not for Putin's Haters
- If we wanted to ram this bill through the Sejm, it would have been processed this week, because there was such an opportunity [...]. In my opinion, the first reading, so that we can deal with these [energy] prices in time, should take place next week, and then a substantively long and good parliamentary committee, where all groups that want to speak factually on this matter should have the opportunity to express themselves, but not Putin's haters - said Paulina Hennig-Kloska on Radio ZET.

PKO BP Analysts: We estimate that in November, core inflation likely significantly declined for another month – to 7.2% year-on-year from 8.0% year-on-year in October

Was #BlackWeek and the Omnibus directive (lowest price in the last 30 days) responsible for the core price reductions in November? Kobosko:

The Bill Will Be Subject to Deliberation, Amendments Will Be Introduced. Calling it the 'Wind Turbine Scandal' is PiS Propaganda
- There is no wind turbine scandal, of course. I don't know what this scandal would even consist of. A scandal would have occurred if, like PiS, we had pushed a bill through overnight, implemented it, and Poles found themselves in a new reality today. That is not the case; a project has been presented primarily concerning the freezing of energy prices. That is the most important aspect […]. This government of Mateusz Morawiecki, which still governs Poland, did not address this - said Michał Kobosko in an interview with Beata Michniewicz on "Salon polityczny Trójki" PR3. - Wind turbines, which were effectively blocked for 8 years, need to be unblocked. Madam editor asks if this is how it should be done. I will say this: the matter is debatable, I understand that. This issue requires consultation with the social side. Of course, there is no question – as the Prime Minister has apparently begun to threaten – that people will be expropriated shortly - he continued. - This is a project that will be the subject of work and will be detailed. I am convinced that amendments will be introduced to this project. […] Calling it the 'wind turbine scandal' is pure PiS propaganda - emphasized the First Deputy Chairman of Poland 2050.

09:18

Hennig-Kloska:

Hołownia Would Be a Better President Than Trzaskowski
- From what I know and the personal stance of Szymon Hołownia on this matter, he has not yet decided whether he will run in 2025 [year] for the presidency [...]. I have no doubt that he would be an excellent president, but of course I am torn, because we don't want to give up our wonderful leader, Marshal Szymon Hołownia, to the state - said Paulina Hennig-Kloska on Radio ZET. - I have no doubt that he would indeed be a very good president, better than Rafał Trzaskowski. I apologize, here I will be, even if subjective, my heart beats yellow - she continued.

09:42

Kobosko:

Lobbyists Did Not Write Wind Turbine Laws
- Lobbyists did not write this bill [reducing the minimum distance of wind farms from buildings] - said Michał Kobosko on "Political Salon of Trójka" PR3.

11:13

Szczucki:

Submitting requests to the prosecution and CBA to investigate who is behind the wind turbine bill project
- When this project is thoroughly analyzed, beyond the provisions concerning the support for electricity consumers [...], there are very important, very serious in their consequences, very risky provisions concerning the location of wind turbines. These are provisions that allow wind turbines to be built close to residential buildings; these are provisions that, in their essence, undermine the foundations of property rights, because changes to these provisions will allow for the expropriation of people in certain circumstances in order to create wind turbine investments - said Krzysztof Szczucki at a press conference in the Sejm.

- This project officially has the character of a parliamentary initiative, but even its superficial analysis indicates that MPs could not have prepared this project. These are very serious, very detailed, and very nuanced regulations. Today, we are asking a question here, directing it to all MPs: who is the author of this bill project, who prepared it, which lobbyist, which company interested in making large profits prepared this bill project? - he asked.

- That is precisely why we are submitting a request to the regional prosecution and the Central Anticorruption Bureau, so that these services can check who is behind this bill. After all, the MPs who signed this project – I draw your attention to the interview with MP Michał Szczerba – admit themselves in fits of honesty that they do not know the content of this bill project, which means they certainly did not write it - he stated.

- The CBA is a very important service, whose purpose is precisely to investigate such matters and determine who is behind suspicious regulations. […] Today we are asking another question: is the CBA to be liquidated precisely in order to be able to implement bill projects like this one in the quiet of Sejm offices? - he pressed.

ORLEN Commercializes Innovative Multifuel System for Electricity and Heat Generation Using Hydrogen

PARTNER TEXT

Tests of a prototype 1MW cogeneration unit equipped with the Multifuel multi-fuel system, enabling the production of electricity and heat using hydrogen, natural gas, or their mixture, have been successfully completed. The prototype is unique on a global scale and utilizes an proprietary solution developed by ORLEN. The multi-fuel system can also be installed in existing generation units, allowing for their gradual transition to hydrogen fuel. The Multifuel technology will accelerate the use of alternative fuels in the energy sector, contributing to CO2 emission reductions in this industry. ORLEN has applied for patent protection for its invention.

ORLEN, in cooperation with Horus-Energia, has developed and tested the world's first multi-fuel system (Multifuel) for powering units that generate electricity and heat. Multifuel allows for seamless fuel switching – it can be hydrogen, natural gas, or any mixture thereof. The company plans to begin its commercialization as early as next year.

– The widespread use of alternative fuels, including hydrogen, is an essential element of the energy transformation and a prerequisite for achieving climate neutrality by 2050. The ORLEN Group supports this process, among other things, by developing bridging technologies that will ensure a smooth transition from fossil fuels to low- and zero-emission gases. Leveraging the experience, resources, and infrastructure brought into the concern by PGNiG, we have developed a world-unique technology whose application enables energy production using natural gas and hydrogen, depending on the availability of each fuel. The flexibility offered by Multifuel technology has been confirmed by successful test results, paving the way for the rapid commercialization of this solution – says Iwona Waksmundzka-Olejniczak, ORLEN Management Board Member for Strategy and Sustainable Development.

The high efficiency and reliability of ORLEN's proprietary technology have been confirmed by measurements of key operational parameters of the prototype cogeneration unit equipped with the Multifuel system. During tests, using over 0.5 tons of hydrogen in various mixtures with natural gas, the maximum electricity generation efficiency increased by over 5 percent (compared to factory parameters). This means that the prototype equipped with the multi-fuel system uses fuel more efficiently than standard units available on the market. Tests also demonstrated the safety of using hydrogen and natural gas mixtures in energy processes.

A distinguishing feature of the developed Multifuel system is its flexibility. Fuels – natural gas and hydrogen – are supplied to the energy generation unit through two independent systems, integrated with the control and monitoring system. Thanks to these, the proportions of the mixture composition can be arbitrarily changed, which is not offered by any other solution available on the market. Fuel doses are regulated automatically, without the need to reduce power, and parameter changes can occur within a single engine operating cycle.

Multifuel will be commercially applied as early as next year. ORLEN will offer it on a license basis, enabling the sale of cogeneration units with the Multifuel system as an extension to the range of special and conventional generation units. The Multifuel multi-fuel system can also be installed in already operating generation units, which will help reduce the costs of low-emission energy transformation. This technology can be successfully used in generation units powering industrial plants, heating plants, or public utility facilities.

The widespread application of the Multifuel system is facilitated by its simple design and scalability to different capacities of generation units. Additionally, the Multifuel technology, by enabling the generation of low- and zero-emission electricity and heat, can support and stabilize the National Power System – including the operation of energy storage, electromobility hubs, and hydrogen clusters.

The device has been registered with the Polish Patent Office. An extension of patent protection is also being developed for Europe and the USA.

Morawiecki:

We Want Our Projects to Be the Foundation of the "Coalition of Polish Affairs"; Especially MPs from the Third Way Should Vote for Our Government and These Laws
- We want, regardless of the fact that we are functioning before obtaining a vote of confidence, before submitting the government to a vote in the Sejm, we want the government to work normally, to present concrete draft laws [...] The Council of Ministers is working very intensively, we met today and discussed projects - said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at a press conference. - We discussed a project that has long been called "2% credit" in the media. This is a credit that fundamentally increases [housing] accessibility for many Polish families, for tens of thousands of Polish families, and because it is so popular, we have decided to increase the funding for this entire project [...] The proposal made by Poland 2050 regarding credit holidays significantly limits the number of Poles who could benefit from the project known to you from our previous proposals [...]. Our proposal covers over a million Polish families [...]. In the new project proposed by today's opposition, the pool of people who will be able to take advantage of credit holidays is significantly reduced - he continued. - The second [project], which we have adopted directionally, but also want to lead to public consultation of this project [...] is a project concerning the local shelf. Fundamentally, the assumptions for this project are very good and very important, both for the health of Poles [...] but also [...] for Polish farmers - he continued. - Our government, in accordance with the decalogue of Polish affairs presented by me last week and in previous days, is implementing individual projects. We want them to be the foundation for the "Coalition of Polish Affairs", we want, especially the MPs from the Third Way, inspired by this common denominator that we are also presenting here, because I believe that these projects will be accepted by many parliamentarians, to vote for our government, but also, above all, to vote for these good laws - he added.

12:13

Hołownia After Meeting Tusk: Conversation Primarily About What Will Happen on December 11th and 12th

- We met today to talk primarily about what will happen in the Sejm on December 11th and 12th, how we imagine, how the Prime Minister envisions, what the Sejm can do in this matter, so that the process of realizing the will of the voters from October 15th finally smoothly comes into effect after two months. We have a plan, I hope we will be able to implement it, and besides that, a government is being formed - stated Szymon Hołownia at a press briefing in the Sejm.

12:17

Tusk Outlines New Government Formation Schedule

- The Marshal proposed a scenario that will certainly facilitate the effective and efficient appointment of a new government for everyone. Everyone, including the President and his role in this process. As you know, on December 11th, we will listen to Prime Minister Morawiecki with his proposals for his government. I smile, but forgive me, you all know the circumstances of Morawiecki's government's work today, and if time permits on December 11th, then on December 11th we will also elect a new prime minister. If – as predicted – Mateusz Morawiecki does not gain a vote of confidence, and these decisions are made by the Marshal, but we would like, also due to the significance of these events, we would like it to happen during the day, or at the latest in the evening, and not necessarily around midnight – stated Donald Tusk at a press briefing in the Sejm.

- If the deliberations are extended, then we will conclude this process on December 12th. This way, the President, upon his return from Switzerland, will have the opportunity to swear in the government – he continued.

- Expect the election of a new government on December 11th, and if time does not allow, the new prime minister's exposé on December 12th, and we assume the swearing-in on December 13th – he added.

12:20

Morawiecki to TVN: The atmosphere of fear you are trying to create will lead to people with whom conversations were good deciding to vote according to the wishes of their group leaders

- I cannot say that today, because it will only be verified during the vote. It is not out of the question that this atmosphere of fear, which you at TVN in particular are trying to create, will lead to people with whom conversations were good also deciding to vote according to the wishes of the leaders of these groups. Every MP is primarily accountable to their voters, not to leaders – stated Mateusz Morawiecki at a press conference.

12:22

Morawiecki:

PO Tries to Fulfill Some Promises Subserviently to Lobbyists, as Evidenced by the Wind Farm Scandal or "Lex Kloska"
I think not all MPs will necessarily want to endorse, to sign off on PO's hundred promises, from which it is already known that they are backing down from some, and are trying to fulfill others subserviently to lobbyists, the evidence of which we saw very clearly yesterday in the form of the wind farm scandal or "lex Kloska" - stated Mateusz Morawiecki at a press conference.

12:23

Morawiecki:

If I told you who we were talking to, TVN would hunt them down, destroying the fundamental fabric of trust built between us

- I am convinced that if I were to reveal who we were talking to, TVN in particular would hunt them down, destroying the fundamental fabric of trust that has been built between us. In response to the question, it seems that on December 11th, together with Marshal Hołownia, we agreed that the Sejm would convene in the morning hours, and then I would present my expose, all the points we are discussing here, as part of the Ten Commandments of Polish Affairs - stated Mateusz Morawiecki at a press conference.

12:26

Tusk:

We Don't Foresee a Scenario Where Investigative Committees Are Populated by Those Being Questioned

- These investigative committees will effectively expose evil and reveal the evil that you have witnessed, the evil of which Poland has been a victim in recent years, and no, we do not foresee a scenario where investigative committees are populated by those who will be questioned by these committees - stated Donald Tusk at a press briefing in the Sejm.

KGHM Awarded "Climate-Conscious Company 2023" Title
PARTNERSHIP CONTENT KGHM has been honored with the "Climate-Conscious Company 2023" title in the prestigious Climate Awareness of Companies study, conducted by, among others, the Foundation for Reporting Standards, the Association of Stock Issuers, and Bureau Veritas. The ranking is based on data from the company's annual reports. The awarded title signifies the company's advancement into the ranks of Top Issuers who report and communicate climate and environmental issues according to the highest standards and with the best quality. The Climate Awareness of Companies study considered, among other factors, the management of climate issues within the organization, reporting on greenhouse gas emissions, climate risks and opportunities, issuer strategies and policies, as well as calculation standards, goals, and action plans in this area. – At KGHM, we are proving that the mining industry and sustainable development can coexist. We are minimizing our impact on the environment by investing in eco-friendly technologies. In our endeavors, we seek solutions that contribute to our development but also support global climate goals. We communicate and report our impact and interactions with the natural environment and the surroundings in which we operate transparently, with the highest quality, consciously, and in accordance with the highest standards – said Tomasz Zdzikot, CEO of KGHM Polska Miedź S.A. Tomasz Zdzikot added that this year, for the first time in its history, the Company has analyzed and presented the carbon and environmental footprint of its flagship products in its integrated report, which is a significant notification, especially for Clients. In mid-2023, the copper giant launched a Post-Process Gas Purification Installation at the Legnica Copper Smelter. This innovative solution purifies gases almost entirely of mercury and arsenic, leaving mainly nitrogen oxides, carbon dioxide, and a small amount of sulfur dioxide. This is the first such investment in Poland and one of only a few worldwide. KGHM has been demonstrating for years that it considers ecology one of its strategic areas. In 2022, the Company spent approximately PLN 250 million on the implementation of pro-ecological investments. The modernization of production and technological solutions always takes environmental aspects into account. In 2022, the company also adopted a Climate Policy and an Environmental Policy, which outline goals and commitments related to environmental protection, including the pursuit of climate neutrality by 2050. This year, KGHM commissioned an analysis of the environmental and carbon footprint for its products: cathodes, wire rod, and Cu-OFE wire. The Institute of Raw Materials Economy and Energy of the Polish Academy of Sciences conducted the analyses in accordance with ISO standards and prepared environmental declarations. KGHM's copper products have a footprint lower than the global average. The conducted analyses confirm that KGHM's smelters (Legnica Copper Smelter, Głogów Copper Smelter, Cedynia Copper Smelter) produce metals responsibly and in accordance with the highest standards. The smelters have implemented an Environmental Management System compliant with the ISO 14001 standard. Additionally, the facilities hold the international Copper Mark certificate. In the next 7 years, the company aims to meet its energy demand from its own sources by 50%, including renewable energy sources (RES). Thanks to its commitment and own energy sources, KGHM was able to cover nearly 17% of the company's total electricity consumption this year. In September, KGHM acquired a portfolio of eight photovoltaic installations with a total capacity of nearly 50 MW. The farms purchased by the copper company are located in the Lower Silesian, Łódź, Pomeranian, and Greater Poland voivodeships. The acquired installations will provide approximately 2% of KGHM's electricity demand coverage. The copper company is also pursuing PV power plant projects on its own land near the Głogów Copper Smelter, Cedynia Copper Smelter, Hydrotechnical Plant, and in the sand quarry area in Obora.

Hołownia on the Wind Turbine Act: It Addresses the Root of the Problem, Not Just the Consequences, but It Still Needs Work on a Few Points
This project, which the MPs have submitted, goes broader and addresses the root of the problem. We know how renewable energy sources were blocked for 8 years, how we were made solely dependent on coal and other hydrocarbons. This is not surprising, we announced it during the campaign, our groups, that we want a change in this regard, this change must come quickly, because if it doesn't, we will have to freeze energy prices constantly, because this problem will not end - stated Szymon Hołownia during a press conference. - This act reaches the source of the problem, not just the consequences, but in our assessment, it should still be worked on in a few points. It will be worked on, amendments will be submitted so that it raises no one's doubts and its provisions cannot be over-interpreted - he added.

12:42

Hołownia:

It Was Worth Winning These Elections to See How Vigorously the Constitutional Tribunal is Now Working

- How pleasant it is to see how wonderfully the Constitutional Tribunal is now working under the leadership of Ms. Julia Przyłębska. Postponing hearings, they couldn't convene, they debated whether they had a majority among themselves or not, and suddenly, as they got to work, they are inundating us with laws, just like the 14-day government of Mateusz Morawiecki. They are traveling around Poland, talking to nurses. It was truly worth winning these elections to see how vigorously this work is now going - stated Szymon Hołownia during a press conference.

12:42

Hołownia on bringing Glapiński before the Tribunal of State: The costs and benefits of such a move must be weighed
We will need to think very carefully about this, because filing a motion against anyone before the Tribunal of State is a very serious matter. The costs and benefits of such a move must be weighed – stated Szymon Hołownia during a press conference.

12:44

Tusk:

Nervousness surrounding Mr. Glapiński stems from awareness of his actions

- I believe that this nervousness surrounding Mr. Glapiński is justified, not by our announcements or decisions, because we are only just embarking on those. The nervousness surrounding Mr. Glapiński stems from the awareness of what he has been doing while holding this office - stated Donald Tusk during a press conference.

Duda at COP28: Humanity and its needs must be at the forefront of the energy transition. Poland's government takes climate goals very seriously.
- Climate change is progressing at an alarming rate. This is a global challenge, and for this reason, the entire international community should confront this problem face-to-face, in solidarity, sensibly, and in accordance with the principles of sustainable development - said President Andrzej Duda during COP28.

- However, too little attention is still paid to the human dimension, which is what gives meaning to the response to climate change. I say this repeatedly and will continue to say it: humanity and its needs must be at the forefront of the energy transition. The present and future health, security, and well-being of people should be placed at the center of every climate policy - he continued.

- People will not bear the additional costs of the energy transition. To make it fair, we cannot undermine people's quality of life. Let us keep in mind, as we transition from fossil fuels to efficient, low-emission energy sources, let us ensure that this process is sensible and rational - he emphasized.

- My country's government takes climate goals very seriously and effectively implements solutions that support our citizens in areas such as photovoltaics and heat recovery technologies. We are also expanding wind energy; in terms of investments in wind energy, Poland was third in the European Union last year. Furthermore, we are making sensible efforts to build a stable nuclear energy sector, which is essential to ensure Poland's energy security, which we need so much, and to bring our country closer to climate neutrality - the President of the Republic of Poland continued.

Duda:

I Will Not Drag Out or Delay the Swearing-In of Tusk's Government
- I will not drag this out and I will not delay it [the swearing-in of Donald Tusk's government]. There are, above all, constitutional deadlines for this. Please note that I handed over the mandate to form a new government to Prime Minister Morawiecki, as the representative of the group that won the parliamentary elections, immediately after he submitted his resignation. Literally at the same moment - said Andrzej Duda at a press conference in Dubai. - I could have done it a few days later. I did not drag it out, as I promised. I will do this calmly, in accordance with our prevailing custom, parliamentary, electoral, and political. In accordance with the provisions of our constitution, also in accordance with certain agreements that we are implementing within the framework of our international commitments and policies. Duda on IVF: I Will Review This Bill Like Any Other, But I Approach It Very Calmly
- I will familiarize myself with this bill [regarding IVF reimbursement]. Please remember that in such matters, it is also a decision for the Members of Parliament; we have a Sejm newly elected by the citizens. As I said, I will review these provisions, like any other bill, but I approach it very calmly - said Andrzej Duda at a press conference in Dubai. - Members of Parliament, as representatives elected by society, have the right to decide on important matters, and they are making such a decision. I will, of course, consider it - he continued.

Kosiniak-Kamysz on Wind Farm Act: "It Requires Changes, and I Said That Very Clearly Yesterday. No Private Company Will Have the Right to Expropriation."

- Regarding the presented, submitted act. It requires changes, and I said that very clearly and distinctly yesterday. Firstly, energy price freezing, absolutely yes. We will not allow Poles to pay higher electricity bills from January 2024 due to PiS's incompetence. They did not take care of this, they did not prepare it in the budget. They did not secure it, they did not adopt it. The Sejm did not work at all for several weeks. The old Sejm, the President said he did not want to shorten the term, but Ms. Witek did not convene the Sejm throughout October and early November. It also did not work in September. They did not take care of this, my dear friends, this is a great omission, a great oversight – stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz in Bochnia.

- Regarding wind turbines – I believe the distance should be no less than 500 meters, and such a change will be introduced, and there is no question of any expropriations for wind farms. One thing is what is progressing now, what has always happened, which is lending, enabling the use of land for electricity grids, and another thing is investment, and no private company will have the right to expropriation – he continued.

Gawkowski on Civil Partnerships: I Spoke with Hołownia, Kosiniak-Kamysz, and Tusk. They Say Directly We Should Conclude This Process

- I believe so [that we are able to introduce civil partnerships]. It's a matter of agreement with the partners with whom we sat at the table. We spoke with Donald Tusk that he would deliver a part of his exposé, and we wouldn't speak about what's in the process of reaching the goal before this exposé. If you ask me if Lewica will lobby for civil partnerships to be enacted this term, yes, we will do everything. I believe civil partnerships will be voted through this term. I spoke with Szymon Hołownia, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, and Donald Tusk. They say directly that we should conclude this process in some category within these four years, and it's not like it was with abortion, where there was a firm no. It's not like that – stated Krzysztof Gawkowski on the program "Gość Wydarzeń" on Polsat News.

Gawkowski:

Glapiński is the Biggest Detriment to the Polish Economy

- In my opinion, Mr. Glapiński is the biggest detriment to the Polish economy. Mr. Glapiński has led to a situation where even his closest collaborators, meaning the members of the NBP management board, do not trust him. Because they don't trust him, they speak the truth about how it functions – said Krzysztof Gawkowski on Polsat News.

- Are there grounds to prosecute him for incompetence and mismanagement? Therefore, when you asked me in the first sentence if there is room to bring [Glapiński before the Tribunal of State], I believe so. Whether the entire parliamentary majority will decide on it, I don't know, because I would like to see the documents on the table. In my opinion, Glapiński should stand before the Tribunal of State, I, Krzysztof Gawkowski, believe so – he continued.
