Monday's Political Agenda: Morawiecki Government Sworn In, Sejm Committees on Trading Sundays and Children's Rights Commissioner

At 4:30 PM in the Presidential Palace, the swearing-in ceremony of Mateusz Morawiecki's government will take place. In accordance with the Constitution, the government will then have two weeks to secure a majority in the Sejm.

Furthermore, at 12:00 PM in the Presidential Palace, President Andrzej Duda and his wife Agata Kornhauser-Duda will attend a meeting on the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

Also today, Sejm committees will convene. Members of the social policy and family committee will elect their presidium. The committees on education, science, and youth, as well as justice and human rights, will provide opinions on the motion to appoint the Children's Rights Commissioner. The economy and development committee will, within the scope of first readings, discuss draft laws concerning trading Sundays in December. The justice committee will provide opinions on motions regarding the appointment of a member to the State Commission for Combating Sexual Exploitation of Minors under 15 years of age.

Klich on Morawiecki's Government Swearing-in: A Mockery of Both the Ceremony and the Government. This Government Will Be a Sham, Not a Council of Ministers

- It will be, Mr. Editor, a mockery of both the swearing-in and the government. Because we all know what the parliamentary arithmetic is - 248 votes for the coalition of democratic groups, and PiS only 194. Consequently, this government will be a sham government, not a Council of Ministers – stated Bogdan Klich on RMF24.

- There are at least four reasons why Mateusz Morawiecki is still in power and may remain so for the next two weeks. Firstly, it's the evacuation of the nomenclature to safe positions. Secondly, it's about destroying documents, and even hard drives. And thirdly, it's about siphoning off further millions from the budget to create a soft landing for their own. The last matter is, of course, the freezing of PiS-affiliated offices and granting PiS officials new competencies, for example, in the competency act, to which an amendment was introduced several months ago, granting the president new, unconstitutional competencies – he continued.

07:58

Klich on the Future Coalition Government: It Will Be a Government That Restores Poland to Europe and Reinstates the Standards of Democracy and Freedom, Suspended or Partially Destroyed by PiS

- I will support this government with all my might, because it is a government that will bring about a breakthrough in Poland, which 11 million 600 thousand Poles have been waiting for. A government that will restore Poland to Europe and reinstate the standards of democracy and freedom in Poland for which I have fought since my high school days. That is, since the 1970s, and which were realized after 1989, but which have been suspended, and partially destroyed by the PiS government – said Bogdan Klich in RMF24.

07:58

Klich on Pęk's Re-candidacy for Deputy Speaker: No Reason to Revisit the Unambiguous Vote
There is no reason to revisit the vote, which was unambiguous; 60 senators voted against Senator Pęk's candidacy for deputy speaker. We still have the verdict of the regulations and ethics committee fresh in our minds – stated Bogdan Klich on RMF24.

Czarzasty on Kaczyński: Even People From His Circle Know He Is Helpless

- I think he [Jarosław Kaczyński] is simply helpless. In connection with what is happening, he says: this is my decision, I planned it, I ordered it done. But I think people, even from his own circle already, know that he is helpless. There are probably moments when a leader saying something like that simply becomes ridiculous - stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty in an interview with Grzegorz Kępka on Polsat News' "Graffiti".

08:16

Czarzasty:

I Don't Listen to Miller; His Ideas Are a Bit Detached from Reality

- Honestly, I don't listen to Mr. Leszek Miller because his ideas are a bit detached from reality. He had his time when he was in charge, that was about 20 years ago. This isn't a good idea [regarding submitting a motion for a constructive vote of no confidence] - stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty on Polsat News' "Graffiti" program.

08:22

Czarzasty:

Kosiniak Won't Turn from a Frog into a Princess, No Matter What False Prince Tries

- Kosiniak won't turn from a frog into a princess, no matter what false prince tries to make it happen. I'm speaking in the language of a fairy tale, because frankly, this can only be told in the language of a fairy tale. It truly doesn't matter - stated Włodzimierz Czarzasty in "Graffiti" on Polsat News.

08:36

Dworczyk:

There's a concept for a government primarily based on experts and some politicians

- According to my knowledge, the reason is different – there's a concept for creating a government that will operate primarily based on experts and some politicians, and in line with this concept, the Prime Minister has prepared or submitted a proposal to join this cabinet, Mateusz Morawiecki's third government – stated Michał Dworczyk in an interview with Robert Mazurek on RMF FM.

08:47

Dworczyk:

I Might Vote for the Committee on Envelope Elections Because I'm Fed Up with Lies and Manipulation

- Perhaps for this committee, if you're already talking about the committee on postal elections, perhaps I will even vote for the establishment of this committee myself, because I am also fed up with the lies and manipulation that I have had to listen to on this topic for the last 2 years, and perhaps it's worth explaining to Poles - stated Michał Dworczyk on RMF FM.

09:00

Kierwiński:

Prime Minister Tusk's Government is 100% Finalized in Terms of Ministerial Appointments

- Prime Minister Donald Tusk's government is 100% finalized in terms of its ministerial composition, but it will be the Prime Minister who announces who will be in this cabinet - stated Marcin Kierwiński in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on the program "Gość Radia Zet".

- With a high degree of probability, this ministry [the Ministry of Education] will be headed by a politician from Lewica. We have spoken about this - he added.

09:01

Kierwiński on the Ministry of Health: KO Would Gladly Take It. It's an Area Completely Neglected by PiS

- KO would gladly take it, because it is a very important ministry, also in the context of the challenges ahead of us. It's an area completely neglected by PiS. It is no coincidence that in recent years, more Poles have died in Poland than since World War II; this is the result of PiS's poor, incompetent governance. It is a difficult mission, but Prime Minister Donald Tusk has found the right candidate, a female candidate, but he will be the one to inform who will be part of his cabinet; it is natural, this is how we agreed with our coalition partners - stated Marcin Kierwiński on the program "Gość Radia Zet".

09:04

Kierwiński:

Women's participation in politics will certainly be increased in this government

- We are aware of the enormous work and effort women have put in in recent years. Women's participation in politics will certainly be increased in this government. Please don't trap me, we won't play with numerology. There will definitely be more - stated Marcin Kierwiński in the program “Gość Radia Zet”.

09:10

Kierwiński:

We Will Start Talks with Ukrainian Partners and EU Partners
We will start talks with Ukrainian partners and partners from the European Union. It cannot be the case that Polish hauliers go bankrupt because the law is not being applied. I will remind you that the law we have today grants special privileges to Ukrainian drivers, but under the condition that they are transporting goods that are particularly needed by fighting Ukraine today – stated Marcin Kierwiński on the program “Gość Radia Zet”.

09:12

Paprocka:

The Minister of Defence is a Key Figure
- Today, of course, we do not have anything akin to presidential ministries, but the Constitution clearly indicates those areas where cooperation between the president and the government is particularly important. Therefore, naturally, the Ministry of National Defence, and the person who will be the Minister of Defence, is a crucial factor [...]. Many decisions are made in cooperation, and this cooperation must run smoothly, regardless of whether it's the president and the minister, or if the prime minister is also involved, coming from the same political option or during a period of cohabitation. Here, the overriding issue is simply security. Another such area, without a doubt, is foreign affairs, where the Constitution also clearly mandates cooperation - stated Małgorzata Paprocka on "Trójka Political Salon".

09:13

Kierwiński:

We Agreed That Each Coalition Partner Would Take Responsibility for Each Ministry

- We agreed that each coalition partner would take responsibility for each ministry. This means a balance in terms of deputy ministers. The number of deputy ministers will certainly be smaller than the Byzantine structure that PiS saddled us with - stated Marcin Kierwiński on the program "Gość Radia Zet".

09:17

Paprocka:

The President's Role Ends with Designation; the Prime Minister Must Count Swords in the Sejm
- I think the President's constitutional role ends with the designation. Of course, it's no secret which camp the President comes from, what vision of Poland is close to him, what are the key issues for him [...], however, it is the Prime Minister who must count the swords in the Sejm - said Małgorzata Paprocka in Trójka, when asked if the president could lobby for a parliamentary majority for the sworn-in government.

09:20

Paprocka:

Ministers Appointed Today Become Full-Fledged Ministers
- Ministers who are appointed today, the Prime Minister, simply become full-fledged ministers; these are ministers who will be performing the roles assigned to them constitutionally and statutorily during this period - said Małgorzata Paprocka on Trójka.

09:21

Sasin:

I Will Definitely Not Be in This New Government

- Today at 4:30 PM the new government will be appointed, and I will definitely not be in this government. I did not receive [an invitation to today's government appointment] because, to put it plainly, I would have no reason to be there. I am indeed concluding my mission as Minister of State Assets today. This new government, which Mr. Morawiecki is forming, is based on a different concept, a more expert-based concept, and is intended not to include the leading politicians of Law and Justice - stated Jacek Sasin in an interview with Konrad Piasecki on TVN24.

09:22

Sasin:

There were mentions of a 10% chance. I think we should stick to that.

- There were such phrases as a 10% chance. I think we should stick to that. Of course, we are not naive, we know that obtaining a vote of confidence for this government will be extremely difficult, but that does not mean we should not attempt it - stated Jacek Sasin on TVN24.

09:24

Paprocka:

There Is No Such Thing as a Neo-KRS
- It is obvious that there is no such thing as a neo-KRS, and all these attempts to undermine appointments, to undermine constitutional bodies, will always be met with the firm opposition of the President, because firstly, they are contrary to the law, and secondly, they are also destructive in nature to Polish life, not only political but also social – said Małgorzata Paprocka on Trójka.

09:27

Sasin:

There Would Be No Point Presenting a Government the Same as Before, but There's No Point Replacing the Prime Minister

- There would be no point presenting a government the same as before, while at the same time saying that we invite people to participate in this government - stated Jacek Sasin on TVN24.

- There is no point in replacing the prime minister who secured such a high electoral result for us after 8 years in government. There is a concept to show that this government can be a different government - he added.

09:28

Sasin on the Committee Regarding Envelope Elections: I am Ready for This Hearing

- I am ready for this hearing [of the committee regarding envelope elections]. Fortunately, it is not committees in Poland that accuse and file charges; at most, they can make recommendations. [...]. As far as I know, it is the prosecution services in Poland that are responsible for accusations. Of course, the parliamentary majority in this matter can do anything; they can vote that day is night and night is day. We always acted within the bounds of the law, based on the constitution, and this is also the case with these elections, wrongly called envelope elections, the presidential elections organized by correspondence, which we wanted to organize because it was the challenge of the moment - stated Jacek Sasin on TVN24.

09:29

Sasin:

Such is the Nature of State-Owned Business; People from Politics Also End Up There

- I can say this: certainly, unfortunately, it wasn't possible to avoid all the mistakes that were also mistakes of previous teams that governed Poland. You would certainly want to analyze all previous periods. I don't want to make excuses in any way, but such is also the nature of state-owned business, that people from politics also end up there, but that doesn't mean they are incompetent people - stated Jacek Sasin on TVN24.

10:23

Jarubas:

We Will Not Discuss Joint Government with PiS This Term
- This is a desperate attempt to save their majority, to save the positions of PiS officials who have been plundering state funds in recent years. The actual attitude of PiS towards the Peasants' Party was shown by this formation over the last eight years, when they spoke of our annihilation, our death, our elimination from political life - Adam Jarubas said on the "Morning Seventh 9" program, referring to Jarosław Kaczyński's words about potentially repeating in the so-called third constitutional step the proposal of an expert-political government, this time with a Prime Minister from the PSL. - In our opinion, however, [politics] is not just about positions, as some PiS representatives might think. They perhaps had this notion that it's just a matter of price, that we will bargain here. The PSL, in my opinion undeservedly, had the image of a party that only cares about positions. [...] Absolutely, none of our MPs have ever considered supporting the continuation of PiS's rule [...]. We will not discuss joint government with PiS at all this term - he continued.

10:36

Jarubas:

We Want to Continue Contracts, Strategically Strengthen and Modernize the Polish Army
- Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz has often emphasized that precisely in these two areas, namely defense and energy, we need wise continuation, which does not exclude some form of audit or review of these contracts, but fundamentally, the tragedy of Polish politics has been that each subsequent government has, as a rule, overturned everything undertaken by the previous government. We want to continue these contracts, we want to strategically strengthen and modernize the Polish army, enhancing it also in terms of personnel, but this does not mean that we will not also try to implement one of the flagship points of our program, which is to utilize the capabilities of Polish industry in armament production - said Adam Jarubas on Poranek Siódma 9.

11:51

Czarnecki on Morawiecki's Attempt to Form and Present a Government: Good for Building PiS's Image
- I think that the attempt to present a new cabinet is also an attempt, besides the desire for it to be formed, which the chances are not too high for, to put it mildly, but also to show one's electorate that we have a certain idea for the future - said Ryszard Czarnecki in a conversation with Jacek Prusinowski on the program "Sedno Sprawy" (The Essence of the Matter) on Radio Plus. - This refreshment is happening now. Such a decision was not made during the election campaign. We can regret it post factum, lament, discuss whether it was worth it, or whether it was even possible. It would probably have been a kind of attempt to move forward, to flee forward, but that did not happen, it is happening now. In my opinion, from the perspective of current politics, it is a very difficult mission, but from the perspective of building PiS's image, it is a good thing - he continued.

11:53

Morawiecki:

If Someone Claims Finances are Dire and Austerity is Needed, They Either Don't Intend to Fulfill Promises or Lack Economic Understanding
Do you want to know the true balance sheet of our 8 years in government? Check what foreign media are writing about the state of the Polish economy. Look at the highest GDP growth in the EU, a high level of investment and innovation, export records, the lowest unemployment rate in history, low taxes, and a record reduction in the VAT gap. We can argue about politics, but our economic achievements cannot be distorted. And above all, we cannot squander this – stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in a recording published on social media.

If someone today says that the financial situation is bad, that belts will need to be tightened, it means they either do not intend to fulfill their promises or do not understand the economy. Poland can afford to move to another, higher level of development. Western experts see this, rating agencies appreciate us. However, it is important that the economy is not managed by people who were responsible for the economic collapse of the 1990s or their faithful followers and pupils – emphasized the head of government.

11:56

Czarnecki on Investigative Committees: The Majority's Goal is to Grill PiS Before the Next Elections
- These [parliamentary investigative committees] are needed for the parliamentary majority, because their goal is to grill Law and Justice before the upcoming local and European elections. We have seven regional assemblies, and our political opponents want to recapture at least some of these assemblies. I think that attacking Law and Justice, these committees are just a pretext, not the reason, serving to win elections, in reality. This isn't about postal elections, it's about local and European elections - said Ryszard Czarnecki on Radio Plus.

12:01

Czarnecki on Sikorski and Sienkiewicz in Government: Tusk's Clever Maneuver
- Donald Tusk shows that he truly doesn't care about these accusations, these charges regarding the tape scandal, and secondly, it's a clever maneuver. Be aware, he is bringing into the government those who have a large negative electorate, they will attract the attention of media critical of the government, and at that moment Donald Tusk will move into a certain shadow. The media will attack whether it's Mr. Sikorski, Mr. Sienkiewicz, or a number of other individuals, like Mr. Nitras [...] this is such a clever maneuver by former Prime Minister Tusk, who in this way shields himself with these very ministers who stir emotions - said Ryszard Czarnecki on Radio Plus.

  • Minister of Foreign Affairs - Szymon Szynkowski vel Sęk
  • Minister of Justice - Marcin Warchoł
  • Minister-Member of the Council of Ministers - Izabela Antos
  • Minister-Member of the Council of Ministers - Jacek Ozdoba

17:17

Duda:

We are Fulfilling a Tradition by Appointing a Government Formed by the Candidate Presented by the Political Camp That Won the Elections
- We are fulfilling a political, historical, and constitutional tradition by appointing, after the parliamentary elections, a government of the Republic of Poland that is formed by the candidate presented by the group, the political camp, that won the parliamentary elections - said President Andrzej Duda during the swearing-in ceremony of Mateusz Morawiecki's government.

17:29

Duda:

I am pleased with the significant representation of women in Morawiecki's cabinet. It's a post-1989 record.
- I look at the Prime Minister and the ladies and gentlemen ministers present here with joy. There are two reasons for this. Firstly, I know most of you, but I don't know most of you as ministers. I know you as experts, as people who have worked substantively in the background until now, carrying out the tasks entrusted to them - said President Andrzej Duda during the inauguration ceremony of Mateusz Morawiecki's government. - Today, you are taking on, alongside substantive responsibilities, exceptionally responsible political roles in managing Polish affairs. I thank you from the bottom of my heart, this is incredibly important. There is also a second element that greatly pleases me - the significant representation of ladies in this cabinet. I must say that I am moved by this, I was immensely pleased with the Prime Minister's proposal when he conveyed it to me, that so many women, a record in the history of the Republic of Poland after 1989, will constitute the government of the Republic of Poland and occupy such exceptionally responsible, important positions. I believe this is a breakthrough.

17:36

Duda:

This is a very young cabinet, and I am pleased with that
- The second element, also very important to me – is that this is a very young cabinet, Mr. Prime Minister. The average age, as I look at the ministers, is definitely below mine. I am pleased with this; it is good. These are times of great challenges for us today – both in Europe, and in Poland, and in the world – and these challenges should be taken on by energetic, dynamic people who view the reality surrounding us with young eyes, and at the same time are not afraid to take on challenges and possess experience – said President Andrzej Duda during the swearing-in ceremony of Mateusz Morawiecki's government.

17:40

Duda:

Morawiecki is currently negotiating support for his cabinet. I wish him every success
- Mr. Prime Minister, Ladies and Gentlemen Ministers, I wish you success. I believe that you will cope with all challenges. The Prime Minister is currently negotiating support for this cabinet. I wish the Prime Minister every success in this regard, and you all in carrying out tasks for the Republic of Poland and for all of us - said President Andrzej Duda during the swearing-in ceremony of Mateusz Morawiecki's government.

18:04

BGK President: The administrative world must understand that technology is developing so rapidly that we need to talk about regulations. Hydrogen and hydrogen technologies are not regulated at all
- Water, hydrogen, and coal are essential not only for continuous innovation but also for creating technologies using these key raw materials, said Beata Daszyńska-Muzyczka, President of the Management Board of Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego, during her address at the 3rd 3W Congress. – Hydrogen is the fuel of the future, and coal is the fundamental building block of our world. The administrative world must understand that technology is developing so rapidly that we need to talk about regulations. Hydrogen and hydrogen technologies are not regulated at all; they operate under gas regulations. This is something we must take care of in the future. As BGK, we aim for socio-economic development, explains President Beata Daszyńska-Muzyczka.

18:30

BGK President: Poland Has One of the Lowest Per Capita Water Resources in the EU
– Poland is a country that possesses some of the lowest per capita water resources in the entire European Union. Four times more rain falls on our land annually than our demand requires – said Beata Daszyńska-Muzyczka, President of the Management Board of Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego, during a speech at the III Congress of 3W. According to the "3W World. Reality and Future" report, Iceland possesses the largest renewable water resources per capita per year. Each citizen has as much as 463.9 thousand m3. In Poland's case, this indicator fluctuates (depending on the amount of annual rainfall) from 1.1 thousand m3 to 1.8 thousand m3; on average, it is approximately 1.6 thousand m3 per year, a result on the border of water stress. The average value for Europe is around 4-5 thousand m3. Nearly half of the European Union countries struggle with alarmingly low freshwater resources (below 3000 m3 per person), including Poland, Malta, Cyprus, and the Czech Republic, which are below the water security level, the Central Statistical Office (GUS) reported.

18:32

Fogiel on Morawiecki's Government's Confidence Vote Chances: Fifty-Fifty, It Will Either Get It or It Won't
- There are many governments in the world that function without a parliamentary majority, and that's one side of the coin. The President decided to respect and strengthen a certain parliamentary custom, as it will always be a starting point for the future. He entrusted this task to the party that won. Whether this government will obtain a vote of confidence, I cannot answer that question today. Fifty-fifty, it will either get it or it won't – stated Radosław Fogiel on Radio ZET. - The point is to show Poles an alternative, and also politicians in the Sejm. Perhaps some are deliberating whether to support this government or not. And perhaps they won't support it, but perhaps in half a year they will regret it, and so that they cannot say then, 'I didn't know, I had no other option' – he continued.

18:35

Fogiel:

I Disagree with Viewing the Implementation of Constitutional Provisions as a Joke or Whim
- I disagree with viewing the implementation of constitutional provisions as a joke or a whim. [...] The functioning of any government is clearly defined in regulations, and regardless of when it is appointed, the costs are roughly comparable – said Radosław Fogiel on Radio ZET.

18:42

Kobosko:

We Will Be Represented in Government by Women
- I can guarantee this [...] I can say with absolute conviction bordering on certainty that we [Polska 2050] will be represented in government by women - said Michał Kobosko in an interview with Tomasz Terlikowski on RMF FM's "Afternoon Conversation."

18:44

Kobosko:

I Received an Invitation to Join the Government
- I received such an invitation from Mr. Marshal Hołownia, as the leader of my political grouping, to join the government. I decided that I have a great deal of work ahead of me in parliament, in the Sejm, and I made that decision of my own free will [not to join the government] - Michał Kobosko said on RMF FM. - One can consider that this was one of the reasons [why I gave up my seat in the government to a woman] - he continued.

18:48

Kobosko on Unanimity Rule Change in the EU: It Might Be Necessary in the Future
- It might be necessary in the future because we could reach a situation where the Union comprises over thirty countries, not 27 as today, and where decision-making will be extremely difficult - Michał Kobosko stated on RMF FM, when asked if a change regarding unanimity in the EU would be needed in the future.

18:52

Kobosko on abortion decriminalization: I have doubts about this vote, I'm considering it
- I have doubts about this vote, I'm considering it. There are people, there are experts, lawyers, who say that decriminalization, actually, if you remove the penalty, it means that abortion becomes abortion on demand, and that is not in line with our demand for a return to the compromise that existed before the judgment of Przyłębska's tribunal – said Michał Kobosko on RMF FM.

18:57

Kobosko on the Envelope Election Inquiry Commission: I Wouldn't Vote for Czarnek's Candidacy
- If the activity of this commission concerned science, education, higher education, then I would definitely be against it [...]. We will see if his [Przemysław Czarnek's] candidacy will be put forward [for the inquiry commission investigating the envelope elections]. If you ask how I would vote, no, I would not vote for the candidacy of Minister Czarnek, because he is associated with everything that is improper in Polish politics - said Michał Kobosko on RMF FM.

19:58

Sasin:

This Government Has a Different View; It's Meant to Be a Manifestation of Our Openness to Various Circles
[I did not join the new government] because that was the Prime Minister's decision. It is the Prime Minister's own government. No, there was no idea for me to join this government. The same applies, incidentally, to most of these ministers, these so-called political figures, who were leading politicians of PiS. This is a deliberate action; this government was intended to be different from the government I was in, i.e., the PiS government, the United Right which had a majority on its own in the Sejm. This government has a different task, it is meant to be a manifestation of our openness to various circles, an invitation to these various circles to join the government, to various programs, a more expert government, but also with a political element - stated Jacek Sasin in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on Polsat News' "Gość Wydarzeń".

20:01

Sasin:

Those Who Voted for the Third Way Can Feel Deceived Today. They Voted for the Third Way, but Chose Tusk

- Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, together with Szymon Hołownia, created a formation named the Third Way, meaning something other than PO or PiS, and it turns out that in reality, it is nothing more than an annex of PO. Those who voted for the Third Way can feel deceived today. They voted for the Third Way, but chose Tusk – stated Jacek Sasin on Polsat News' "Gość Wydarzeń".

20:16

Sasin on Date of Expose: Morawiecki to Agree with Hołownia

- As far as I know, that is the Prime Minister's intention [to ask for a vote of confidence]. The Prime Minister will agree [on the date of the expose] with Marshal Hołownia, because I know the Prime Minister is seeking such a meeting to coordinate the details, the delivery of the expose, and the vote of confidence - stated Jacek Sasin on Polsat News's "Gość Wydarzeń".

20:39

Scheuring-Wielgus:

I'm Surprised Morawiecki Not Only Humiliates Himself, but Also Dragged Along This Whole Band of the Humiliated
- We have and see a government of desperadoes, meaning I wonder, because we are dealing with adults who made the decision to participate in this spectacle. I think Ms. Dominika Chorosińska, who is an actress and has become the Minister of Culture, will feel best in this spectacle. Generally, all these people are an insult to people of many professions – stated Joanna Scheuring-Wielgus in the program ,,Fakty po faktach” on TVN24. - I'm surprised Morawiecki not only humiliates himself, but also dragged along this whole band of the humiliated. I'm surprised, because we are dealing with an adult who simply wants to be humiliated in this way. I don't know, perhaps Prime Minister Morawiecki is a masochist and likes to humiliate himself, but he also likes to humiliate others whom he invited to this government – she continued.

20:41

Scheuring-Wielgus:

We have ready evidence, the entire coalition that won the election has tons of documents on all these scams and scandals

- We have ready evidence. We, in fact, the entire coalition that won the election, have prepared a multitude of documents concerning all these scams, all these scandals. We on the Left have also presented them, we called them indictments. That is, indictments for individuals who broke the law, for instance, in these three areas for which parliamentary inquiry committees will be established. These individuals must be brought before a court, and all of this must be settled – said Joanna Scheuring-Wielgus on TVN24.

20:46

Morawiecki:

I hope the Marshal won't just seek spectacle, but will agree to analyze and put to a vote the bills we send to the Sejm.
Why should we only argue, why should we only focus on revenge, on spectacle? Look, this Sejm has unfortunately begun its term somewhat ingloriously, as it will go down in history, by wanting to establish three investigative committees. We are proposing three very good bills because the government is working, the Sejm is working. We are presenting three very good bills to the Sejm – stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki on the program “Gość Wiadomości” on TVP Info. We will propose new bills to the Sejm. I hope that the Marshal won't just seek spectacle, but will also be persuaded, in accordance with his promise, to remove the freezer from the Sejm, and simply analyze and put to a vote the bills that we will send to the Sejm – he added.

20:52

Morawiecki:

The seeds we are sowing now, I am convinced, will grow in the future

- Regardless of whether our mission succeeds now, the seeds we are sowing now, I am convinced, will grow in the future. One does not always have to immediately reap the fruits of one's actions. I believe that those individuals who will have the opportunity in the coming weeks to observe state work will be very valuable collaborators for us in the future - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki on the program "Gość Wiadomości" on TVP Info.

Morawiecki:

This is the Prelude to the Greatest Electoral Fraud

- There is a prelude, an antechamber to what is perhaps the greatest electoral fraud [that public finances are in a tragic state] in the last 30-odd years, because we are leaving the economy after this last term, we are leaving public finances in an excellent, very good state - stated Mateusz Morawiecki on TVP Info.

Morawiecki:

They want to be a Brussels couch cat, a fat one preferably

- Please remember, they are not interested in us being the tiger of Europe, fighting, trying to get as much as possible out of Brussels. They want to be a Brussels couch cat, a fat one preferably, because that's how it was before. One that is petted from time to time, purrs happily, and everyone rejoices - stated Mateusz Morawiecki on TVP Info.

- Of course, we fought very hard for our interests, and that's why Brussels didn't always like it - he added.

Morawiecki:

Sometimes I feel like PO is like the PZPR

- The Civic Platform sometimes seems to me like the PZPR, which wants to have a licensed opposition. The PZPR also had 2 such "opposition" parties, ZSL and the Democratic Party, we remember, moreover, the democratic bloc was formed in this way from '44 onwards [...]. If something like this happened [liquidation of TVP], it would mean not only the closure and information monopoly straight out of the PRL, but it would be a negation of democracy - stated Mateusz Morawiecki on TVP Info.

Kwiatkowski on Morawiecki's Government Swearing-in: Today We Watched a Political Reconstruction Group

- Today we watched a political reconstruction group. In Poland, reenactors generally do it for free, meaning they participate in an event, they recreate. We have reenactors who pretend to have formed a government, but their pretence is quite expensive. None of them are 20-year-olds, each will receive length-of-service pay on top of approximately 18,000 zlotys. This will be somewhere above 20,000 zlotys. On top of that, later severance pay, half of their salary. Because for the period of their work, meaning for these two weeks of shame, each of them will pocket about 30,000 zlotys – stated Krzysztof Kwiatkowski on the program "Fakty po faktach" on TVN24.

Morawiecki:

We Meticulously Analyzed Other Parties' Programs and Sought Common Ground for Our Trans-Party Government

- We meticulously analyzed the programs of other parties and, within the framework of this trans-party government we proposed today, we sought to select what unites us. We do not want quarrels, we do not want what we see some of the opposition preparing right now, namely revenge and revanchism, because that will simply be part of the games and chaos they might potentially unleash. I believe Poles expect something different - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki on the TVP Info program “Gość Wiadomości”.

Kwiatkowski:

I assure you, the new government will have more women than Mateusz Morawiecki's actual government

- When we talk about real summaries, I can say publicly today, without revealing names, that Donald Tusk's government will have more women than not in this pretend government, but in Mateusz Morawiecki's government, which had four constitutional ladies. I assure you that the new government will have more women in government than Mateusz Morawiecki's actual government – Krzysztof Kwiatkowski said on TVN24.
